He'll be more than happy to hug you if he knows you. After all, (almost) everyone is his friend!

He'll make happy sounds, and will ask you to hold him.

May or may not fall asleep in your arms...

He doesn't need a reason, he's just made of love <3

But if I had to write about any situation... it'd be this:

You had a rough day, Meta Knight's hard training lessons, Dedede's nagging, and various things that just drained your energy. You were in the beach, looking at the sea as your thought started to fill your mind. If only you could mute your consciousness...

What you didn't notice, however, was the small heroe next to you, who let out a concerned "poyo?" At the sight of a sad friend.

You didn't notice him run away either, but you did saw him running back to you with some apples. He sat next to you and gave you one of them happily, as if he were trying to cheer you up. He listened to your problems, and even if he didn't understand some of them, he comforted you as best as he could.

You two saw the sunset begin, and he jumped in your arms. It was int that moment that you realize that you'll always have a friend who's willing to listen to you, no matter what. Although he may fall asleep in your arms after that, like what was happening at the moment.

Meta knight

No. At least, not without asking for permission.

Let's be honest, he's a cold knight and even if he cares for his friends he's not a fan of physical contact.

So it takes a lot, A LOT of hard work to get him to trust you. Many battles and long training sessions, nights of talking and insufferable scolding during hikes.

He does that because he cares for your safety, but you're still a stranger to him. Though, your resilience and kindness have surprised this stoic knight.

Seeing you work hard and smile everyday was suspicious, not many are able to pass his training...

But one day, he saw you crying in your quarters out of exhaustion. He felt... guilty.

So he decided to set his ego to the side and apologize.

Try to imagine the expression under his mask when you told him you just wanted to make him proud because you didn't feel like you belonged to dreamland. :(

He hugged you. It was akward, yes, but it's the thought that matters. He feels bad for you, after all.

Meta had the great Idea of asking you to meet up for lunch the next day, to get to know eachother.

King Dedede

In his defense, he was very cold.

Winter in Dreamland, a strange sight but always welcomed by the most playful ones.

You came to Dreamland not too long ago, and the self-claimed king has hated you ever since. I mean, getting back at him for his insults is so unfair....! (Cue him throwing a fit at poor escargoon because you always manage to see him coming at you with a new scheme to ruin your day)

So when he saw you giving away sweet, hot chocolate to people in the town, he became furious (He wanted you to offer him hot chocolate too). He got closer to throw subtle comments about your chocolate not being tasty, and it ended up in a snowball fight.

What he didn't expect, was you covering him completely in snow.

It seems like Meta knight's training was worth it, after all.

This all leads us to the current situation: him having catched a cold and staying in your guest room at the castle. "It was your fault, you take care of him" (Escargoon's words).

He looked at your figure entering the bedroom with some (burning hot) soup and a cup, not really being in the mood to take medicine. You had to practically force him to finish the soup, but there were no problems when he realized the mysterious cup was filled with your hot chocolate.

After that, when the tiredness started to kick in, you decided it was a good moment to get to know him. Turns out he's not that bad, he's just... lonely. And traumatized (For everything that happens to him in the games).

You were about to go away, but he stopped you. You were about to ask why, when he sat up amd wrapped his arms around you. "Please" was the only thing he said. You really couldn't say no, huh?

You may have gotten a cold last night, but hey, at least you don't have a tyrant making your life impossible everyday! Now, you just have a whiny penguin nagging you with his schemes and plans. If you already understood Escargoon's suffering, now you two bond over it. Waddle Dee's

MY BABIES

It was an average friday. You used to watch movies every friday night before coming to Dreamland, and it didn't change since there were TV's here too.

You put on whatever movie you could find, grabbed some snacks, a blanket, and sat on the couch. Everything was normal, until you heard a soft knock on the door. It was Bandana Waddle Dee, who came to see if you were doing alright. You cpuld tell he was happy when you offered him to sit next to you.

You talked to him through the entire movie, sharing the snacks and the blankets, carrying him to his quarters when he fell asleep. (He's so pure I can't-)

He came back the next friday, and the next, but that time he brought two other Waddle Dee's with him, claiming that they were following him. Fortunately, you had more that enough snacks for everyone.

But as weeks passed, your room started to get more crowded, to the point that you had to improvise a projector in the gardens and organise the snack and blankets/pillows situation.

By the time two months had passed, and you moved to the plaza (people like Dedede, Escargoon or Meta Knight may be in the crowd, but disguised or hidden, trying not to be suspicious they are).

However, you'll always be surrounded by a pile of happy Waddle Dee's, with any lucky one sleeping in your arms. It's safe to say that they absolutely adore you.

Meta Knight x Reader - Can't Sleep? (Semi-NSFW)

It was incredibly late at night.

And you still couldn’t sleep.

You glared at the ceiling of your bedroom, finished with shifting around to find new ways to become more comfortable. No matter what you did, you just couldn’t go to sleep. And it was annoying the fuck out of you.

“Ugh…” You rubbed your face, leaning over to grab your phone to squint at the time. It was three in the morning. “Lovely…”

After a moment, you opened up the messaging app, staring blankly at it. You were bored, and likely weren’t going to go to sleep… Would anyone else be awake right now? Would your boyfriend be awake?

You slightly giggled to yourself while beginning to write a message to him, half delirious from sleep deprivation.

You: Hey, are you awake?

You stared at the screen… and stared… and stared… before eventually pouting. Oookay, it seems like Meta Knight was not awake.

Clicking off the messaging app, you instead went to play a mobile game to busy your mind, having nothing better to do.

As you immersed yourself in the mobile game, the minutes seemed to drag on. The glow from the screen illuminated your face, casting a bluish tint across the room. Your mind was still buzzing, refusing to succumb to the beckoning of sleep.

Just as you were engrossed in a particularly challenging part of the game, a soft chime signaled an incoming message. Startled, you quickly switched back to the messaging app to see who had messaged you.

Knighty-Knight: Can’t sleep?

You groaned, looking at the nickname you had set for him– and totally didn’t forget you had put him as that. You took a moment to respond, not bothering to put apostrophes or periods at the end of the message. Auto correct can be annoying, so you turned it off for the messaging app.

You: Nooo, I couldnt and I dont know why either. I had a busy day. I did stuffs. All things considered I should be tired

You: Also, what took you forever to respond?

Knighty-Knight: I was doing something. And, perhaps you need to wear yourself some other way.

You: busy doin what.? Playing with yourself?

When it took him a while to respond, you giggled to yourself. 

You: You usually aren’t up this laaate

Knighty-Knight: I was fixing up my armor. 

You: why Did it need fixing up

Knighty-Knight: Sparring got a little too intense and ran later than it usually does.

You lowered your bottom lip, feeling bad for Kirby. The poor boy needed some rest– Meta Knight has been running him dry lately.

You: You need to take that boy to an ice cream parlur

Knighty-Knight: Parlor. 

As you continued your conversation with Meta Knight, the late-night banter brought a playful element to your otherwise sleep-deprived state. Despite your exhaustion, you couldn't help but smile at his responses.

Knighty-Knight: You really need to sleep. 

You: i caaant. I really cant. It

You: oops sent that early- it sucks that i cant go to sleep like a normal person.

Knighty-Knight: It’s four in the morning. I’ve been talking with you for nearly an hour. We need to find a way to get you to go to sleep.

You: Aren’t you sleeby? Dont you have to wake up at like five?

Knighty-Knight: Yes & yes.

You made a face, feeling guilty for making him stay up like this. If you had known that he was getting ready to rest for the night, you wouldn’t have messaged him.

Knighty-Knight: I was waiting for you to use an apostrophe.

-He is liable to being possessed or kidnapped at any moment.

Meta Knight x Reader - Soothing

You let out a soft whine, tossing and turning around on the cold ground. Although you were huddled up in your sleeping bag, you... couldn’t sleep at all. It was frustrating, especially since you and Meta Knight had a lot of walking to do, and you knew you’d be exhausted in the morning. You couldn’t afford to be exhausted.

The campfire had long gone out, leaving you and him in complete darkness. You could hear his breathing, but you weren’t entirely sure if he had gone to sleep yet.  

You shifted around a bit more, frowning deeply. You... You just... couldn’t sleep— you couldn’t sleep, no matter what you did. You counted sheep, you breathed in and out slowly, and you’ve had your eyes closed for a good two hours by this point. You didn’t know why you couldn’t sleep, but... you just couldn’t.  

“...Meta Knight?” You called out softly, not wanting to wake him if he was asleep. He didn’t have a blanket or a pillow with him to sleep comfortably, but he fell asleep easily... Though, you knew that nothing was going to come after you both if you did ever sleep, since Meta Knight also easily woke up, too.

After a few solid seconds passed you figured he was asleep— but blinked when you heard a faint “hm?” come from his direction.

You swallowed thickly, trying to find the right words to say... “Uh... I can’t sleep,” you told him honestly... “Do you know of anything that’ll help me fall asleep?”

“...I could tell you a bedtime story?”  

You... slowly pouted, sinking into your sleeping bag as you stared into the direction his voice was coming from. “Meta... I’m not five. I doubt a bedtime story will help me much.”

He was silent for a while— long enough to where you thought he was ignoring you or that he had fallen asleep. However, before too long, he spoke up, beginning to tell you a story about one of his adventures.  

You lowered your bottom lip and was about to tell him that you really didn’t need to be told a bedtime story... But... oh, his voice was just so soothing. It itched a spot in your brain that you didn’t think could be itched, and you quickly found yourself relaxing in your sleeping bag.  

You didn’t know if it was because his voice was deep and gravelly sounding right now or if it was because you liked him, but you felt yourself get increasingly sleepy as he spoke.

As he continued to tell you the story, your eyelids began to get fairly heavy— to the point where you had to close your eyes. You weren’t really paying attention to his story anymore, but you could tell that he was getting closer— he sat down right next to where you were laying, somewhat leaning against your sleeping bag, but didn’t faulter in speaking.

You relaxed even more, and before long, you... had fallen asleep to the sound of his voice.

-He lets you vent to him while he holds you, rubbing your back as you nuzzle into his feathery chest.

-The Waddle Dees bring you your favorite drink and a snack to help you feel better.

-King Dedede will continue to check up on you after you calm down just to make sure you're alright. He will check on you for the next week. Maybe even longer.

-The Waddle Dees also won't leave you alone and will make sure you are safe and happy. You will wake up in a pile of Dees.

Meta Knight: -To say Meta Knight sucks at comforting others is an understatement. He is a knight first and foremost and a person second, if he cannot fight whatever has caused you pain he's absolutely hopeless.

-He still tries though, he holds you against him protectively and wraps his wings around you. He assures you that everything will be alright and that he will stab whatever is causing you problems.

-He leaves you little gifts throughout the rest of the day and the week, just to let you know he's thinking of you. He also tells the Meta Knights to check on you as well.

-He has Sailor Dee bring you your favorite snacks when he is too busy.

-Dude is helpless when it comes to things he cannot physically fight, but he does genuinely love you and want you to be safe, happy, and healthy.

When he first realized he had a crush on you, he asked his friends for advice before asking you out. He really doesn’t want to mess up. 

Only for you to ask him out first instead. He felt like a coward for not being able to ask you out first. He also got really embarrassed. If he didn’t have his mask on you would’ve seen a flustered blue puffball.

He always acts confident around you. Always acts like he knows what he’s doing, !HINT! He doesn’t know what he’s doing at all. 

He has never been in a relationship before, you’re kind of his first. Even if he hasn’t been in a relationship before, he’s still kind of charming. 

He blows kisses to you sometimes! Only with his mask on though. He tried doing it with his mask off when he was looking at his mirror the other day. It didn’t go well, that's all I can say. Also he “accidentally” destroyed his mirror after that.

He tries to flirt but always fails miserably, you usually do the flirting since he obviously can’t. Still even at his 1 millionth try he insists to continue. You doubt he’ll ever be good at flirting but he can try.

This fluffball loves sweets. If you ever buy him some or even simply hold something that has sugar in or on it he challenges you to a duel, if he has his mask on. Well not literally you two just duel with spoons. If he doesn’t have his mask on? He tackles you to the ground and kisses you while stealing the sweets and running away while munching sounds (or crunching sounds) can be heard. ( I have proof that this fluffball loves sweets so fight me.)

For some reason his mood changes depending if he has his mask on or not on. He’s like an entirely different person without his mask! It’s insane! He turn into a total tsundere when he doesn’t have his mask on. But when he has his mask on, he’s not afraid to do anything to you and is just straight up bold to you.

Whenever you ask him to take his mask off he says no. Saying it’s super secret or that he is not comfortable with it. You don’t usually listen and just take the mask off and immediately kiss him, while he becomes a flustered red mess and rants like a small child while stomping his two feet on the ground and then runs. 

He gets so easily flustered! It’s honestly hard not to make him flustered, because whenever he’s near you his nonexistent metaphorical heart flutters as butterflies go through his metaphorical stomach. He can only hide his emotions with his mask on.

You find him absolutely adorable without his mask on. You honestly love teasing him for his cuteness because it gets him so annoyed and flustered. 

He likes to sleep with you. Usually you two cuddle in bed while his two wings coddle over you and wrap around you, as you lightly smother him with kisses on his sphere like body. He twitches and melts into you from every kiss you give him. It’s not because he’s uncomfortable, it's because he isn’t used to affection. 

When he’s with his friends he constantly talks about you. Telling his friends how great and nice you are and even bragging about you. If you walk in on him while he talks about you. He changes the subject immediately and acts as if he is talking about something else while dying inside and questioning his own existence.

You two usually go to a bakery or a cafe when you two have dates mostly because he is absolutely infatuated and obsessed with sugar. He brings you red roses when you two are on a date. 

He bakes cookies for you while trying to fight off the feeling of eating the cookies and basically salivating over them. It takes him over 5 fucking hours for him to make them just because he has to constantly resist eating them. You always feel bad about this because he is basically having a mental crisis over some cookies. It always leads to you giving him all of the cookies instead.

Once Meta Knight finally learns how to flirt, instead of him being the easily flustered one it changes to be you who is now the easily flustered one. Oh how the tables have turned!

He only shows his face to you willingly, but only when you two are alone. This usually turns out to be you tackling him to the ground while you smite him with tons of playful comments as he fights fire with fire and does the same to you. It becomes an intense battle and I mean really intense.

Meta knight can’t eat with his mask on. He has to take it off while on picnic dates. For some reason he gets insanely playful with this idea and steals food from you, when you have it in your mouth as in a resemblance of a kiss. 

He sometimes lets you on the halberd for fun sky trips. You two have it pretty fun together.

Look, I know, I know this was some very short headcanons but I swear I'll make longer headcanons in my life. But I hope you enjoyed anon! Okay, I saw the part in the noob!reader post about Kirby. I love Kirby and would love a Kirby!reader in hazbin hotel. When all of a sudden, you were getting pulled into a red portal as you screamed out to meta knight who seemed to be in his own world.

“POYO! POYO!” You then get sucked in as meta knight turns to see nothing. “Reader/Kirby?…..where is he NOW!” Meta knight exclaims, his accent thickening in worry as he runs around the area calling out your name.

Meta was basically that Brandon rogers meme when he lost his “child” 😭

You swirl in the portal to get thrown out and roll into the feet of a person. “Oh my! Are you okay sweetie?” The sweet voice says as she picks you up. Charlie looked worry seeing you dizzy. “Poyoo..” you said with a dazed out look from your trip of the portal.

Charlie took you in her hotel, getting you water and suited to rest as vaggie checks up. After 24 hours, they kept you as you became part of the hotel staff.

I headcannon you once accidentally swallowed Angel because you saw him as a regular spider. You literally transformed into his color palette before Charlie made you cough him up.
