Kelso: I don’t know guys, I don’t know what this feeling is. I look at her and I actually like her as a person. I like talking to her, spending time with her. I can have fun with her without having to have sex with her. I want to get to know her. I want her to trust me. When she tells me to get my hand off her ass I listen to her and don’t do it again. When I see her, my heart skips a beat, I hate seeing her sad it breaks my heart man. What could this mean?
Hyde: It means you finally love someone other than yourself you dingus

hey!! could you do jackie burkhart with reader who doesn’t know she’s hitting on them ? :))
Thank you for requesting! I hope you like it. Feel free to request again any time!
Clueless {Jackie Burkhart x Fem!Reader}
Summary: No matter how many times Jackie flirts with y/n she can't seem to take the hint.
i do not give anyone permission to copy or repost my work on here or any other websites. no translations either. likes and reblogs are greatly appreciated.
Not edited yet! Apologies for any mistakes!
y/n sat on the couch in Eric's basement with Jackie on her right and Donna in the chair to the left of her. All three girls stared at the tv as an episode of Gilligan's Island played.
y/n felt the couch move slightly as Jackie scooted closer to her side. She glanced at Jackie who gave her a smile which she returned before looking back at the tv.
Donna looked over at the two making eye contact with Jackie. She smirked at Jackie making her roll her eyes and look back to the tv screen.
There was a small moment of silence before Jackie spoke up.
"This sweater is really soft, y/n." Jackie said running her hand over y/n's sleeve. "Where'd you get it?"
"Um, I'm not sure." y/n answered. "I think my mom got it for me."
"Oh, darn." Jackie sighed. "Maybe I could I borrow it some time?"
"Yeah, totally." y/n smiled sweetly not noticing the flirty tone in Jackie's voice.
Donna stifled a laugh, shaking her head.
"Actually, I don't think I should. I'm not sure I could pull it off the way you do." Jackie complimented her placing her hand on y/n's knee.
"Don't be silly, Jackie. You could totally pull this off." y/n nudged her.
"Well, of course I can." Jackie said. "But I already know you look better than I would."
"Thanks, Jackie." y/n chuckled, shaking her head.
Jackie frowned a bit as y/n continued watching tv. She looked at Donna for help who sighed reluctantly.
"So y/n," Donna grabbed her attention away from the tv. "What are you doing Friday night?"
"Nothing, why?" y/n questioned.
"You wanna come with Jackie and I to the movies?" Donna offered.
"Yeah, sure. What are we going to see?" y/n asked.
"Grease." Jackie answered.
"Oh great! I've wanting to see it." y/n smiled.
"Actually, I forgot my mom is taking me shopping Friday night, so I can't go." Donna said dropping her shoulders with fake disappointment.
"Oh dang it, we'll guess it'll just be me and you." Jackie said looking at y/n with a smile.
"Hey, maybe we should invite Fez." y/n suggested. "I remember him mentioning wanting to see Grease, too."
"Ughh!" Jackie groaned throwing her head back. She got and while she was trying to put her coat on she was rambling angrily, "How are you so smart, but so clueless at the same time?" She huffed zipping up her jacket and heading towards the door. "I give up!" She declared shutting the door.
"What was that?" y/n looked at Donna shocked.
"You're such an idiot." Donna shook her head.
"What?" y/n furrowed her brows.
"Jackie was flirty with you, Moron!" Donna exclaimed. "And you two almost had a date Friday night."
"What? No, we didn't!" y/n denied. "You're the one who asked me to the movies."
"It was a plan to get you alone with Jackie." Donna said in a 'duh' tone. "I back out, and you and Jackie go see a movie together."
y/n froze when she realized she did almost have a date with Jackie. She sucked her teeth and dropped her shoulders.
"You're so clueless." Donna rolled her eyes. "You've had a crush on Jackie for months and you can't even see when she's flirting with you."
"How was I supposed to know?" y/n defended herself.
"It's was really obvious." Hyde said walking out of his room looking like he just woke up.
"Have you been in there the whole time?" y/n asked confused.
"Yup." Hyde said walking upstairs.
y/n turned back to Donna who only smirked at her.
"I told you you're clueless."

Damn you, Steven Hyde! - Fluff
Steven Hyde x fem! Reader
A/N: Hi! this is the first one shot i have ever posted anywhere to be honest, but I've been obsessed with That 70s show and I wrote this directly here knowing that i would be forced to post it.
English is not my first language but I always loved to write so hopefully this is not too bad. let me know what you think!
I will make a part 2 of this, that will contain smut.
trope: two idiots in love, a little bit of miss-comunication.
TW: name calling, swearing, bad bad writing, smoking weed, under-age drinking. i think that's all, let me know if there are other things i should consider.
anyway, here we go!
Tumblr media
"Oh c'mon, I'll spend the night with you Fez." You promised. "We can watch a movie if you want, your pick." Fez smiled and crunched down a bit, hugging your neck from behind since you were sitting down on 'Hyde's chair'.
"This is why you are my favorite, Y/N/N." He smiled, accent thick on his tongue.
It was true. You were always nice to Fez and, even if you were Eric's twin sister, you were the only girl in the group that was single and Fez always thought he could have his way with you like he did with Donna and Jackie, if they were single.
Being Eric's twin sister had it's good sides. You were your parents favorite. It was more than likely to happen when you are the youngest and a girl. You weren't whoreing around high school like your older sister Laurie had been, and you brother, well Red just thought he was a dumbass while Kitty tried to baby him.
You didn't need that tho. you knew how to stand up for yourself, you were well behaved and your parents trusted you. Even if you did exactly the same things Eric did, it was always more fun to you even if you got caught.
Another thing, your friends were his and, most of the times, vice versa. The both of you had been friends with Donna, Hyde and Kelso since forever, always hanging out in your basement.
The bad side was Hyde. Not him necessarily, but the close relationship with him. You and Hyde would flirt all the goddamn time until your brother got uncomfortable.
Since you were around 11 or 12 that you had been fighting over who sits in that chair just for the sake of it, and that only stopped when you both decided by sharing a look that you would do anything to annoy your brother, so Hyde pulled you to his lap and ever since then, you would always sit on the chair or on Hyde, it basically just became a habit to everyone really.
And you absolutely adored the relationship you had with him. That's what fucked it up, Hyde grew up to be exactly your type. Or maybe your type was based on Hyde. You just know that on your last sleep over with Donna and Jackie when you borrowed your mom's cosmo you figured that Hyde filled all the categories as your dream man. And oh boy, did they tease you about it.
"But in all seriousness." Jackie said after a few laughs. "Hyde would never deserve a girl like you."
And that played over and over in your head.
After that you had gone to the disco and you bugged and bugged and bugged Hyde to come with all of you until he said yes.
That night you had danced with Fez after Jackie and you totally tired him out, after that you tried to dance with Kelso, cheer him up a bit and teach him a few moves so that he could keep up with Jackie before he realised that Fez and Jackie were outside alone.
And even after dancing for so long, you still wanted to keep going. You got that from your mother. The problem was, you obviously wouldn't dance with your brother, specially because he can't dance for the life of him.
"Hey that guy over there looks like he can dance." Donna declared, pointing over your shoulder. "He's been looking at you since you were dancing with Fez." She added quietly, mostly to your brother sake because he was obviously over protective of you.
In Eric's mind, if anything happened to you while you were both out, Red would absolutely kill him for not protecting his precious little angel enough.
"Let's see if he can dance." You add with a smirk, getting ready to get up.
"You wanna dance?" Hyde said before you even could get up. You looked at him puzzled, as did Eric and Donna. "C'mon, let's dance." He got up and grabbed your hand.
So that night you danced with Hyde to Fernando by ABBA. And he told you that he wanted to kiss you. And just for a tiny moment you thought he was joking, before you saw the seriousness in his eyes. And, god, did you wish the song could have lasted just a minute longer because you would've absolutely kissed him right there.
Ever since then, it had been different between you two, but only you had noticed. Hyde didn't want to make you weird around him and since you didn't answer, he took it as a hint that you would always be just friends.
That was another bad side of being a Forman. There were things that were hard to talk about, specially feelings. You got that from Red. But did you want to have the guts to tell Hyde how you felt.
When Christmas came along, he gave you his gift on the cruiser. He didn't get anything to anyone else because he didn't have the Money to do so.
He gave you the polaroid you had taken with Jackies camara on the next town over that you had lost over a rock, paper or scissors game. Hyde put a black frame on it with a bracelet from the concert you went to that night, and it had been in your night stand since he gave it to you.
You got him a new pair of sunglasses. The same exact ones he had and had you worked your ass off to find them. You were the only one who noticed they were broken so the lent would fall out. And he smiled so big when he opened the box, it was like he own a contest.
You thought he got the hint. He didn't. So now here he was, bragging about Chrissy, and the wild sex they just had, and how she had asked him to move to New york.
You weren't even listening until you heard your brothers pinchy voice, telling him he couldn't.
"Damn it Forman, now I lost my train of thought." He got up angry, touching your shoulder so he could sit on the chair. "Hey sweetheart." He said loudly, like he always did, coming to kiss your cheek, like he always did before you both sat back down.
"Hey Hyde." You said with a small smile, but avoided his kiss, reaching for the cruiser keys that were on the table. "What do you say Fez, wanna go grab a few movies?"
"Oh yes. Maybe the pretty blonde that works there will be there." He said excited, reaching for his jacket.
"Wait for us." You said more to your brother, knowing that as soon as Donna was gone and Michael was back they would get high, and you always did it with them, Donna didn't because she didn't like the smell.
Hyde found your behaviour weird since you never acted like that with him but your brother made the stupid joke that you were probably on your period which Donna hit him in the arm for, and quickly got back to trying to get Hyde from going to New york.
When you got to the video store, you gave Fez enough Money to rent two movies and stayed in the car. You cried, and you were woman enough to admit that you cried. Out of jealousy that he was with that Chrissy bitch, that he would leave town, but mostly because he would leave town with her.
You only realised Fez got back because he hugged you and you appreciated it even if you made him promise not to say anything and didn't exactly tell him why you were crying.
As soon as Eric heard the vista's doors closing, he got the pot from its hiding place.
"I don't think is a good ideia Hyde." Your brother said when it started to kick in.
And you blacked out. Not literally, you just didn't want to listen.
"Y/N you gonna help me and Fez out?" Eric asked.
"Nop." You answered, getting up from where you were resting against Michael. "Hyde can go to hell for all I care." And he laughed.
"Don't kiss my ass, sweetheart."
"But Y/N/N weren't you crying in the car because of..." And before Fez could continue, you threw a shoe at him. Yes, a shoe because your stoned mind couldn't think of anything else.
"You were crying?" Eric and Hyde asked at the same time but you quickly ignored them.
"I gotta pee." And with that you left before anymore questions.
The feeling left and Hyde went home to pack his bag, his mind set on going even after your brother's many tries. After dinner and before he went on his 'drive' with Donna, Eric tried to bug the truth out of you but you wouldn't open up.
"You don't want to tell me, fine." He said, annoyed. "I'm going over to Hyde's to try and talk him, do you wanna come?"
"Eric, mom and dad already talked to him, you bugged him all afternoon, me talking to him won't change anything, it won't either if you just keep repeating the same thing." You finally said, finishing up washing the plates from dinner.
"You haven't even said anything, I thought you cared for Hyde a little bit more." He said before he left and you just kept washing the dishes.
After a few minutes Donna showed up, sitting on the high stool as you cleaned the counter.
"Eric went to see Hyde before he left, he might be a bit late." You told Donna, avoiding looking at her knowing that she would know how you felt by just looking at you.
"And you stayed because?"
"It wouldn't matter if I went." Your voice was clearly emotional, not thinking about anything else but losing your best friend Hyde over New York, and the wild bimbo Chrissy.
"He likes you! You could make him stay!" Now Donna got up and you looked at her. "What are you waiting for? For him to leave with that bimbo? He's going to ruin his life in New york, Y/N/N. Talk to him, have him ruin his life here, with us." You laughed a bit.
"Do you really think I could make him stay?" You asked on a small voice, clearly wanting to ask something else.
"Of course!" Donna said. "Hyde is absolutely crazy for you." She smiled and you just left the counter half cleaned before you ran to the living room.
"I'm going out, but I promise I won't be gone long." You said before you tried to leave.
"Hold it." Said Red Forman and, you didn't even register before you stopped and turned back to the living room. "You're finally going to talk to Steven?"
"Yes daddy." You mumbled. You could have tried to fool your dad but it wouldn't pass the Red-dar.
"Take the Toyota. I don't want you walking alone so late at night." He pointed to the keys on the high table behind him.
"Thank you daddy!" You kissed his cheek and ran to the garage pass Donna showing her the keys.
You drove quickly but a lot more careful than you would have done if it was with the cruiser. Parking next to the cruiser, you quickly checked yourself in the mirror, cleaning the remaining tears and fixing your lashes, knowing that Hyde would know if you were crying.
When you got to his front porch, you saw Eric and Hyde sitting, laughing a bit. Nervously, you put your hands on the front pocket of your denim skirt and walked to them, clearing your throat so they would notice you and stop the conversation, never trusting what they talked about when alone and definitely didn't want to over hear.
"Hey Y/N/N, did you walk here?" Your brother asked quickly. "Why didn't you wait until I got back?"
"Red borrowed me the Toyota." You said showing Eric the keys. "Be careful when you back up the cruiser."
"Oh right." He said, looking between the two of you. Eric might be dumb most of the times but this one he could tell. "I guess I'll see you around if I ever go to the big Apple Hyde. Good luck." And with that they hugged, Hyde thanked him, and Eric left.
It might have been a twin thing, but you shared a look and you knew Eric hoped to every God out there that you would get Hyde to stay, even if you were going to try, it made you lose a little bit of hope that it was all up to you now.
"Hey sweetheart." He tried again, reaching for a cigarette in his pocket.
Tears were back in your eyes when you finally got closer to him, pushing him in the chest.
"How dare you, Steven?!" You asked annoyed. "How dare you even think of leaving without saying goodbye?!"
"Sweetheart..." He started, finally noticing the tears on your face, trying to get closer to you but you pushed him again, pointing a finger to his face.
"No. Don't 'sweetheart' me. You were supposed to leave this town with me. Follow me to college like a creep and sneak into my dorm room like we promised." And that's when it hit him.
You had promised that one time on a sleep over when you woke up in the middle of the night and Hyde went to use your bathroom. He was the only boy you would let use your bathroom and he noticed you were up. You both got high on the room just outside your window and made that promise with each other before you went back inside and read to him the book Eric had gotten you for christmas and you both fell asleep.
Before he could respond, you had glued yourself to his torso, crying quietly on his chest.
"Don't go. Please." You asked before he tossed the cigarette aside and hugged you back. He calmed you down, before you pulled back to look at him.
You took the glassed from his face and held his face lightly. "Even if I lost my change with you, Steven, please don't go. I don't want to lose my best friend." You whispered.
And this time it was Hyde that was absolutely speechless, just like you were the night at the disco.
"I think I really want to kiss you right now, y/n." Your breath changed, as Steven reached to put a strand of hair behind your ear. "You don't have to kiss me back if you don't want to."
And with that you took initiative, you pulled his face to yours and kissed him. You felt him smile into the kiss, holding your neck and your waist as you passed one hand to his hair pulling him to you and smiled back.
"Promise me another one of those and I might just stay the rest of my life in this stupid town." Hyde joked when you broke a part and you both laughed a bit before you pulled him back in for another kiss.
"Can have as many as you want if you go tell that bimbo you're not going with her." You joked this time.
"Oh baby, are you jealous?" Steven tried to joke as you pulled him inside his house and picked up his bag. "Straight to the bedroom, hum?" He pulled you back by the hips, kissing your neck.
"Steven?" His mother asked, loudly.
"Gotta be quiet baby love." He whispered in your ear.
"Not right now, pretty boy. You got a heart to break." You pushed him back from you a lot softer than you had done outside. "Hurry up and you might just get lucky." Kissing his cheek you, left to the living room.
You knew his mom, and she surprisingly liked you.
"Hey Edna." You gave her a warm smile before she turned from inside the fridge to look over her shoulder.
"Oh hey Y/N! What a beer?" She took two out of the fridge as she asked and turned to you. "Would offer you a soda but I don't have any."
"Yeah sure, I'll take one." You kept your cool.
"Take a seat." She offered and you sat at the small kitchen table. "What are you doing here?"
"Steven came to pick some of his stuff up, we're having a sleep over." You lied easily, taking a drink of your beer.
"You are good to him." She said, sitting across from you and only then you realised that she was drunk. "I think he has a crush on you." Edna laughed.
"Mom." You heard Steven whine from the kitchen door.
"Really?" You laughed. "Do you have anything to say about it Steven?" Before you could embarrass him further he pulled you hand and started walking through the house to get out like it was eating him alive.
"I'm staying at Foreman's tonight." Was all he said before you both left the house, and he forced you to run to the Toyota.
part 2 - to be added.

𝐂𝐔𝐃𝐃𝐋𝐄-𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊!
Tumblr media
pairings! steven hyde x fem reader
word count! 500
warnings! none pure fluff:)
a/n! this is so fucking short what. anyways. SHOCKER I DO WRITE FOR MORE THAN JESS AND NIKKI.
THE SUMMER AFTERNOONS were spent in Eric Forman's basement — shocker, shocker! Which was only a gateway to the rest of the gang making fun of you and your boyfriend, Steven Hyde. An excuse to getting out of school and staying right down where Red Forman vexed. He deemed the downstairs a 'fortress of evil' with all of the teens coming and going out of it. But then Eric turned it into the Dark Side from Stars Wars and started assigning everyone roles... that's when everyone made their way out of there.
Sadly enough, Steven Hyde resided there and you typically resided with him. So, the two of you were trapped in the basement where Eric was loudly watching A New Hope. That was until Hyde caught your attention from behind his sunglasses and motioned for you to follow him. You obliged when Leia showed up — knowing Eric would be too lost in Carrie Fischer to even notice your disappearance. So, when the Princess made her appearance you were out of there.
Half an hour later the two of you found yourselves cuddled up on his bed. Your back pressed into his chest, his arm wrapped around your body. You could feel Steven's breath against the nape of your neck as he dozed off to the sound of Clapton humming in the background. A book rested in your hands as you held it up, hoping to not squash it on the mattress. You could feel Steven’s hands moving which made a slight smile spread to your face. That was until his hand grabbed your wrist and tried to hold your hand — the one that held the book. The very good book.
“Hmph,” He groaned sleepily as he tried to shove the book out of your hand. “Steven, I’m almost done with this chapter. Hey-“ You were cut off by your boyfriend grabbing the book out of your hand. He simply tossed it across the room and dove into you. His mop of curls now rested on your chest as you rolled on your back. Your jaw was still dropped as your new book now on the floor across the room. “Dumbass!” Your hand slapped his head, his eyes opening in the process. “I had like one page left! You cuddle-freak!”
“Shut up.” He mumbled as you wrapped your arms around his back in surrender. Your relationship tended to work best when the both of you just shut your mouths. He groaned before tilting his head up at your annoyed face. “I love you.”
“Yeah well, fuck you.”
“Burn!” Kelso screamed from outside the door where he was spying… along with Donna, Jackie, and Fez. He immediately slammed his hand over his mouth while Donna shoved the poor guy. That was until Hyde exited the room, chasing the tall dumbass out of the basement.
“Hey where’d Hyde and Y/N go?” Eric noticed.

literally can't stop thinking about michael kelso!steve, the ultimate himbo™. it's so easy to picture him mopping around family video because of his failed attempts to flirt with hawkins' babes, and when robin asks him what's wrong, he answers, "i know i keep things bottled up, but inside this cool exterior, there's a really sad human being"; and he does so with the saddest puppy eyes ever.
when nancy broke up with him, even before he thought of going to the wheeler's with a bouquet of red roses, he was already thinking of writing her a song, though he only knows about three chords on the guitar... and he doesn't know how to write songs at all. "nancy", aggressive guitar strum, "give me a chancey", pluck, "you know that we...", another strum, "uh- can be?".
he's peak kelso when he is extremely high. "breaking news: i'm toasted!", he giggles as the joint keeps passing through the circle's hands. and trust me when i say, he will always go on lengthy rants about the most random things, like, "one day, i'm gonna open a restaurant, and everything on the menu is gonna be special. so, when somebody comes in and says, 'hey, steve, what's the special?', i can say, 'everything'!", and he'd be laughing all by himself while everyone else ignores him.

Hey y’all, sorry for the long hiatus. 2022 was a hellish year for me. But towards the end a lot of good things happened as well. I got married in October, started a new job the same month and been trying to keep my house clean, working out, keeping my budget in check and just overall been having a LOT of writers block. But I’ve been squeezing writing at least a few days a week, but now all that’s mostly calmed down, my goal is to finish The Things You Give. I hope I didn’t lose any followers. Your love for the story makes my heart so full. I really am working on it, just trying to get past a certain part before I can get to the other parts I wanna write. I promise it’ll be out very very soon! Thank you for all the love, I love y’all more than I can describe. Happy New Year my loves! May 2023 treat you right and help all your dreams come true! ❤️ btw are you excited for That 90s Show? Because I am!!! I hope they do it justice!

Big Reputation (Jay Kelso x Reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: Slight enemies to lovers inspired by a tiktok by @/saracarstens. (Y/N) has heard about Jay’s family and reputation and is wary to give him the attention he’s craving (titled inspired by Taylor Swift’s Endgame)
Word count: 2.5k
Content/warnings: fluff (NO smut), slight enemies to lovers, very brief mentions of sex, kelso slander (again) not slander if it’s true
You had heard about Jay Kelso before. Son of the wealthy, glamorous local television personality Jackie Burkhart and dim witted police officer and notorious womanizer Michael Kelso. Point Place was a small town after all, it wasn’t hard to hear the stories of the trails of broken hearts Michael Kelso had left in his wake, including that of Jay’s mother. You knew of Jay from school and the two of you working up the street from each other, and had heard of his many past girlfriends, but had never actually met him before. Not until that Wednesday at the coffee shop.
You were working your usual after school shift at the local uptown coffee shop when he came in. Interestingly, he was by himself. No gregarious group of friends, no girl on his arm. Just Jay Kelso, sporting messy hair and a flannel, staring straight in your direction.
You rolled your eyes when you locked eyes with him, seeing his face falter slightly and his lips part as he laid eyes on you. He didn’t seem to see you as you disappeared back behind the counter, instead sitting down at a table and opening up a book. You chortled a bit, Michael Kelso’s son reading for fun? What a joke. You rolled your eyes again and wondered what girl he was hoping to impress with that thing. You never could’ve imagined it could be you.
About ten minutes went by before your manager came and sent you on your break. You sat down in the corner by the cafe window, latte in your hand, and started to take a gentle sip as a familiar figure appeared before you and sat down in front of you. Who else could it be but Jay Kelso himself.
“Uh, hey,” he mused, blushing.
“Hi.”
You tried to be polite, you had heard plenty about him in the past, but you didn’t know him. Maybe he was just trying to be nice. Maybe he wasn’t some womanizing asshole, maybe he didn’t have any sort of more-than-platonic intentions.
He looked you up and down and swallowed anxiously. “I saw you from across the cafe, and I was thinking, um…”
Of course. Just another guy just trying to get in your pants.
You flashed him a look of disinterest. “No thanks.”
Jay looked flustered at your response. Surely because he was used to getting whatever girl he wanted, you assumed, and was shocked you wouldn’t be just another pawn in his games. But you also saw what looked like genuine disappointment flash upon his handsome face as his cheeks began to heat up to a magenta hue.
“I-I’m sorry, I-“ he stuttered.
You rolled your eyes. “Not interested, Kelso.”
“No, yeah, I understand. Um, sorry for asking, I shouldn’t have- I mean, um, I’ll leave you be.”
You focused your attention back to the mug in your hand as he walked away, melancholia in his pretty brown puppy dog eyes. Sure, Jay Kelso was good looking, but he was still a Kelso. And you were far too smart to get your heart broken. Not that you were too focused on boys anyway with how much of your energy you were putting into your school and work, but if you were looking for a man, any guy in town would do over Jay.
Just about a week later, at around the same time, the bell on the front door rang as it was opened once again by the ever so familiar Jay Kelso, this time holding a Polaroid camera rather than a book. You heard him order coffee from the girl at the front counter as you stood far enough behind the counter that he couldn’t see you preparing drinks, before he sauntered back to the same table as the week before and began sipping his drink while looking through his photos.
Unlike the week before, when you were more than happy to be sent on your break as your feet were starting to hurt and you were starting to feel that mental burn out for the night, tonight you were praying to the heavens above that you wouldn’t be sent to break while Jay was there. But there was your manager, once again, telling you to go on break so that the store could stay on schedule for the night. Great. At this point Jay had already been there for about half an hour and you were starting to wonder if he was stalking you. No, you thought to yourself, it’s just a coincidence. He doesn’t even know you work here. Not that he remembers you anyway, he probably asked out dozens of girls in just that day alone. Still, you decided to spend your break in your car just to avoid him.
You grabbed your to-go cup and started to make your way to the door of the coffee shop, which you had parked right in front of, and saw a car parked next to you that hadn’t been there when you showed up. Weird, there weren’t too many customers in the store at the moment. You were about to open the front door and walk out before a stranger came out from behind you and opened it for you, ushering you out.
“M’lady,” a deep voice echoed from above you.
“Thank you,” you said before peering up to get a look at this kind stranger.
Of course, it was Jay. Lovely.
“You again,” he said with a smirk.
You rolled your eyes, though a bit more playfully this time. “I don’t date.” Not entirely the truth, but not entirely a lie either. You weren’t against dating anyone right now, but you also weren’t looking. Especially not for him.
“That’s fine! Just wanted to help a lady in need.” He smiled a toothy grin.
Ugh, he was so annoying. Did he seriously think you couldn’t open a door?
You fought back a smile as you bit your inner cheek. “Well, thanks, I guess.”
“Yeah. See ya around,” Jay said, before clearing his throat. “And if you ever change your mind, I’d love to buy you a coffee,” he winked as the two of you walked off before you both awkwardly realized you were heading in the same direction. Of course. He was the car parked right next to you. Because why wouldn’t he be, right? Just your luck.
You awkwardly waved goodbye to him as he got in his car and drove off, not admitting to the butterflies that you felt in your stomach as he smiled at you. You couldn’t stand Jay Kelso, and you weren’t going to let that change anytime soon.
Another couple weeks went by, no Jay. It was a Saturday this time, so you’d gotten off of work earlier since you hadn’t had class during the daytime and decided to walk over to the video and record store just up the street. It was a pretty cool place that you liked to go to with your friends sometimes on the weekends, and you didn’t even pay any mind to the boy at the front desk as you walked in and started sifting through piles of John Hughes movies before making your way to the small clothing section filled with hats and band tees. You picked up a distressed denim baseball cap and put it on your head before walking over to the full sized mirror and almost jumping out of your skin as you saw a figure appear behind you.
“Damn.”
You sighed. “What do you want, Jay?”
“I-I just,” he blushed, “well, that looks really good on you.”
You rolled your eyes before turning to face him. “Are you following me?”
“Well, actually, I work here, so it seems to me like you’re the one following me, doll.”
Shit. How could you forget Jay worked at this store?
He casually looked you up and down before speaking up again. “You know, you apparently know my name, but I don’t seem to have caught yours.”
“(Y/N).”
Jay smirked. “Beautiful name for a beautiful girl.”
“Shut up,” you sighed, fighting back a smile.
“You wanna buy it?” he asked.
You sighed. “See, I would, but I don’t get paid til tomorrow, so I’m kind of just window shopping for now.”
“Okay…” he said in a sing-song voice. “First purchase is on me. How does that sound?”
“Jeez. You like it on me that much.”
“Yeah,” he said, looking you up and down again and biting his lip. “Really. You look gorgeous.”
You blushed. “Thanks Jay. You don’t look too bad yourself. You win. I guess I’ll let you buy the hat.”
“Sounds great!” he exclaimed before ringing it up and walking you to the door.
“See you later, (Y/N).”
“In your dreams, Kelso,” you replied, attempting to hide your smile.
Another week or two went by and you tried your best to convince yourself to forget about Jay Kelso, but every time you saw that denim hat sitting in the corner of your bedroom, the butterflies in your stomach that he’d given you kept coming back. You sighed and made your way to the bathroom to get ready for that evening’s shift.
That was the next time you had seen Jay, and you were genuinely shocked at how cool he played it as he only so much as gave you a friendly wave from across the coffee shop while once again looking through a large stack of Polaroids. Maybe he’d finally given up, you thought. However, the next night took that hope and crushed it.
Another day, another break that you hadn’t (yet) ran into Jay Kelso. You sighed with relief before the ring of the door opening pulled you out of your thoughts. What timing, lo and behold there was Jay at the door looking devilishly handsome as ever in a Nirvana tee, ripped jeans, and dirty converse high tops with a camera strung around his neck. He made his way over to the corner of the cafe where you were once again sitting enjoying your coffee in peace.
“C’mon… it can’t be a coincidence that we keep meeting here.”
“Now I don’t believe in coincidence,” you smirked, “but I don’t mean to burst your bubble. I actually work here. You seem to keep catching me on my breaks…”
“And here I thought it was fate. Guess I’m just a lucky guy.”
“See? You hit on me every time you see me, but you know nothing about me.”
“That’s not true,” he pouted.
“Oh isn’t it?”
“No. I know this is your favorite corner in the cafe to sit down and drink your coffee, and I know that your hair looks beautiful when the sun hits it shining in through the window. I know you drive a (your car), I know you bite your cheek when I make you nervous, even though you like to pretend that I don’t. But I can tell from the way you blush. And I know that your name is (Y/N), a beautiful name for a beautiful girl. And what are you drinking right now?”
“Chai latte,” the both of you said in unison.
“That’s what I thought,” Jay smirked.
You tried to ignore the way your cheeks were heating up as you thought of a witty reply. “Epic fail, Kelso. You’re just making yourself sound like a total stalker.”
“Maybe. Or maybe I just care enough to notice all the little things about you.”
“Oh please. If you wanted anything more than to get inside my pants, maybe I’d believe you.”
His brow furrowed, goofy demeanor falling and a genuinely serious look washing over his face. “Why would you think that?”
You rolled your eyes. “Don’t play dumb. I’ve heard about you before.”
“Heard about me? Or heard about my dad?”
Damn… that shut you up real quick.
“Actually, (Y/N), if you must know, I’m a virgin. And I hardly even know my father since he doesn’t seem to give a shit about me, if that makes you feel any better.”
Well now you felt like an absolute asshole.
“Shit, Jay, I’m sorry.”
He shook his head, fighting back tears. “No need to be. You didn’t know. No hard feelings, right?”
You smiled at him. “Of course not. As long as you don’t hate me for being such a bitch.”
“I could never,” Jay grinned. “And you’re not a bitch. You’re a gorgeous girl, inside and out.”
You blushed and bit your cheek lightly. “Thank you, Jay.”
Another week or so went by before you stopped once again in the record shop, this time however on purpose with one boy on your mind - Jay Kelso. You tried on a couple hats again, getting his opinion every time and each time him telling you that you looked beautiful in everything. You didn’t even wear hats that often, but the store didn’t have a dressing room to try on the tee shirts, so you did what you had to do to keep seeing Jay.
This went on for a little over a month. Jay would show up and order coffee, you’d show up and try on hats, and you’d wave at each other in the hallways at school. Eventually your little visits to each others’ work became more and more frequent and your interactions less and less platonic, however without either of you officially making a move.
One Friday evening you had been trying on hats for what felt like hours, chatting and laughing with Jay the whole time as he gave you his opinions on which hats looked good on you and which to buy, which, of course, was always, all of them.
“Okay…” you sighed, biting your cheek, “I think I like this one.” You adjusted the baby pink bucket hat on your head.
Jay could tell that you were about to leave and realized it was finally his chance to make a move.
“(Y/N)…”
“Yeah?”
“I, um, don’t think I really did this right the first time… will you go out with me?”
You rolled your eyes playfully. “I thought you’d never ask!” You ran your fingers through your hair, taking off the hat and handing it to him. “I don’t even hardly wear hats that much. But I agree… this one does look adorable on me.”
“It does. And for the record, I totally hate coffee.”
You couldn’t contain your laughter as he pulled you into his arms. “You’re such a dork!”
“Not as much of a dork as the girl who came into my work to try on hats for hours just to get my attention after rejecting me,”
“Oh, shut up,” you giggled, pulling him closer.
“Make me.”
You planted a quick kiss on his lips, leaving him flustered.
“So… about that date.”
“How does coffee sound?”

i appreciate it sm!! <33
Bubbles (Michael Kelso X Reader)
Masterlist
Request Something!
Summary: You want to take a bath with your boyfriend. He thinks the bubbles and candles are a little girly for him, but he can’t say no to you.
A/N: omg tysm <3333 also slightly smutty towards the end bc it’s Kelso
***
You loved nights like this. Nights when there was no school the next morning, nights when your parents wouldn’t be home for hours because they were out for one of their weekly dates, nights when the gang was busy doing their own things. You were able to completely unwind and relax.
You had a bit of a ritual. You started in the living room, watching television while painting your nails. Whether it was Charlie’s Angels, Scooby-Doo and his gang, or the Fonz, you just wanted some background noise. You decided to paint them blue because that was your boyfriend’s favorite color on you.
When the paint had dried, you went to your room to grab your pajamas. After painting your nails, you always took a bubble bath with scented candles around the tub and music playing from your little portable radio. You were about to walk off to your bathroom when the phone on your bedside table rang.
“Hello?” You answered, phone pinned between your ear and shoulder.
“Hey, baby!” Michael responded excitedly on the other end.
“Hey, Micah! What’s up?”
“I thought I could come over. I know your parents are out.” You were quick to pick up the suggestive tone in his voice.
“Michael, I’m not really in the mood for that.” You sat on your bed, toying with the covers.
“Well, can I at least come over?” Michael asked. “I just miss you.” God, how could you say no to him when he sounded so sweet and desperate to see you? You smiled, looping the curled phone cord around your finger.
“Okay then. I’m about to start a bath, so I’ll leave the back door unlocked for you. So when you come in, you’ll know where to find me.”
“Y/n, how can you say you’re not in the mood for sex and then tell me you’re gonna be naked when I get there?” He asked with a joking tone.
“Shut up!” You laughed, and Michael let out a chuckle in return. “Okay, I’m gonna go. See you soon. Love you.”
“Love ya, too.” You both hung up the phone.
You ran to the back door and unlocked it before making your way to your bathroom. Music echoed as the water ran. You put some bubble bath soap in the filling tub before lighting two of your favorite candles and placing them on the edges of the tub. When the tub was filled to your liking, you turned off the faucet and undressed. You threw your clothes into the hamper before stepping into the warm, bubbly water. You sighed loudly in relief as you sank and rested your head against the wall.
You didn’t keep track of how many songs had played before you heard a knock on the bathroom door.
“Can I come in?” Michael asked through the door. You smiled at the sound of his voice.
“Yeah, come on in.” He did as told, shutting the door behind him. You rested an arm on the edge of the tub, hand reaching out for him to take. Michael smiled and sat down against the bathtub, taking your hand.
“Hey, baby.” He kissed your knuckles.
“Hi, Micah.” You squeezed his hand, leaning forward to give him a kiss that he eagerly returned. You bent your knees to rest your chin on them, smiling softly at Michael.
“Having fun?” Michael asked. You gave a hum of confirmation and then suddenly had an idea.
“Wanna get in with me?” He looked at his surroundings, giving out a light laugh.
“I dunno, Y/n. Bubble bath, candles. Seems a little girly for me.” You rolled your eyes.
“Oh, okay. So I can put makeup on you, but you won’t sit in the bath with me?”
“David Bowie wears makeup!”
“I bet he takes bubble baths too!” The two of you laughed at your unserious outbursts. You kissed Michael. “Pretty please.” You begged against his lips before pecking them again. He sighed, untangling his hand from yours.
“Fine. But no telling the guys.” Michael stood up and shed his layers. You clapped your hands with glee, scooting forward in the tub. You had him put his clothes in the laundry basket because he had left so many pieces of clothing at your house for him to wear afterward, and he stepped into the bath. He settled in the place you were in before he came, resting against the wall before pulling you towards him to rest on him. Because Michael’s so tall, he had his legs bent, knees popping out of the water.
“See, isn’t this nice?” You asked. You felt him kiss the back of your head.
“Mhmm.” He hummed into your hair, sighing at the sensation of you dragging your nails up and down his thighs. He grabbed one of your hands, holding it close for inspection. “I like the blue.”
“Did it for you, baby.” You maneuvered your hand in his hold to interlock your fingers again.
The two of you lay in the bubbles, making light conversation with music playing in the background. You were encased by Michael’s limbs, legs on either side of your body, and arms around your torso, keeping you close to his chest. His chin rested on your shoulder while he listened to you talk about something that had happened in class the other day.
Michael moved one of his hands to scratch his face, and when he went to hold you again, he brushed your nipple. You gasped at the sudden sensation.
“Sorry.” He mumbled into your shoulder, waiting for you to continue with your story. But your mind was now filled with other things. It was crazy, the effect Michael Kelso could have on you. One simple, accidental touch had sent your mind into a frenzy. “Babe?”
You turned your head to look at him, eyes hazy with lust. His eyebrows raised expectantly, waiting for you to say something. But he knew that look in your eye; he knew what you wanted.
Keeping an arm around you, his other hand gave one of your thighs the treatment that you’d been giving him. You sighed in relief at the contact. His hand started to travel to where you needed him most, pausing right at the apex of your thigh.
“Please, Micah.” You whined. He clicked his tongue, lips against your ear.
“Don’t worry, sweetheart.” He whispered. “I’ll take good care of you. I always do, don’t I?”

“ (okay, I could probably write a full meta on her relationship with Casey, so I’ll stop here for now).”
I would love to see that meta! I personally don’t like that dynamic and the power imbalance (Casey being 21 and Donna 17).
On the show, Donna uses her relationship with Casey as a coping mechanism for her grief about her mom and Eric. One moment (before "The Promise Ring"), the aspects that make up her reality / life are consistent abd reliable. Then they're irrevocably changed. She doesn't know how to adjust. Her father is a mess himself, and Eric's insecurity deprives her of Mrs. Forman's much-needed support.
Jackie is Donna's only constant support, but she's the Jackie who hasn't yet learned to live fully (or a touch less than fully) in reality but fantasy. Donna goes down the same path with Casey that Jackie does with Kelso, imagining her boyfriend to be someone he isn't and easily dismisses obvious red flags.
Casey goes out of town a lot, and from Michael Kelso's warning to Eric -- added to Casey's other behavior -- one can reasonably suspect Casey of not being faithful to Donna. "They're just words," he says to Eric of, "I love you." But Donna believes Casey when he says them because she needs to.
Because of Donna's lack of healthy, consistent emotional support during season four -- with rare exceptions from Hyde, Kitty, and Eric himself -- she's terrified and reacting to her feelings instead of truly facing them. She convinces herself that Casey is the solution to her pain and clings to her false belief for dear life.
Donna, when not in such pain, would take Casey's words about coping at face value (e.g., "Crack open another beer") instead of giving them a deeper meaning they don't have. She'd call out Casey's flakiness and stick to it rather than accept his explanation that being unreliable is just the way he is. She never would've let Eric get away with such disrespectful nonsense.
The relationship with Casey, and filling her mind with him when he's not around, allows Donna to avoid her feelings. Casey also enables avoidance behaviors when he is present, and she takes on his bullying, hostile nature as another avoidance tactic. She's psychologically malicious to Eric, thankless and snappish to Hyde, and giddily agrees with Casey's sexually-violating advice to Fez about Rhonda. She skips school and gets drunk in the morning with Casey, which falls in line with her self-destructiveness when she needs help and doesn't know how else to get it.
Donna is not mentally well at this point in her life, and she very much needed her dad to step-up. He fails her because he doesn't have good coping skills himself. But he's still responsible for the well-being of his child. She's seventeen, and while that's older than seven, teenagers still need guidance and support.
If Eric had been less selfish, insecure, and perhaps spiteful, he might have "allowed" his mom to be that healthy support for Donna. It's of course tricky since he's hurting, too. But Donna didn't only lose her boyfriend/best friend, she also -- in a very real sense -- lost her mother and father.
As for the age difference, that's part and parcel of Casey's indifference to people who aren't himself. He doesn't consider what might or might not be a healthy relationship dynamic. He enjoys using Donna for company, for fooling around, for messing with Eric. He's an even more malicious, selfish narcissist than his brother Michael. He's essentially Michael without the tiny spark of decency and self-awareness Michael has.
Casey also doesn't seem to get emotionally attached to people. Michael does, and that's where his sense of entitlement comes in. He wants Jackie and Hyde to hurt because he feels hurt by them. Casey, however, doesn't get hurt because he doesn't care. He might be sociopathic. He certainly knows how to pour on the charm to gets what he wants from people, and being malicious to others brings him joy.
Donna is at the height of vulnerability when Jackie sets her up with Casey, and Casey recognizes an easy mark when he sees one.

hi boo!!! could you write abt falling asleep and cuddling with Eric Forman pls:) ❤️
Hi bebe, thank you for requesting! I hope you like it! Feel free to request again <3
Quiet {Eric Forman x Fem!Reader}
Summary: y/n finally finds the peace and quiet she's been craving.
Warnings: Mentions of divorce, fighting, toxic home life
i do not give anyone permission to copy or repost my work on here or any other websites. no translations either. likes and reblogs are greatly appreciated.
Eric was laying in bed getting ready to go to sleep. He reached over to his bedside table to turn his lamp off.
Three knocks on the door made Eric jump and whip his head around. He looked at his window to see y/n, his girlfriend of 8 months, waving to him with an amused smile.
Eric got out of bed and pushed the window up letting y/n enter.
"Hey babe, what are you doing here so late?" Eric asked confused why y/n would be showing up at his window when she had just left a couple hours ago.
"I wanted to see you." y/n said leaning up to kiss him. "You want me to leave?"
"No, no, of course not." Eric reassured her. "It's just it's midnight, and I thought you went home?" He said observing her.
Her eyes were a little red and puffy like she had been crying, and they didn't have the same brightness they did early.
"I did." y/n nodded. "Don't really wanna be home right now though."
"Is everything okay?" Eric asked walking closer to her.
"Yeah, I'm fine." y/n smiled, but Eric knew better. He knew her. They had been dating for 8 months and had known each other since they were kids. Eric prided himself on knowing y/n.
"Really? Because you look like something's wrong." Eric pointed out. "Have you been crying?"
y/n took a deep breath before answering, "I'm fine, Eric. I swear."
"I don't believe you." Eric told her.
"Why not?" y/n scoffed.
"Because I know you," Eric said, "And I know when you're happy, sad, angry, jealous, whatever. I know you, and I know something's wrong, so please tell me what it is." He asked.
"It's not a big deal." y/n shook her head.
"Clearly it is if you're crying about it." Eric said. "Come on, babe. It's me."
"My parents just got into a little fight." y/n shrugged.
"A little fight?" Eric raised an eyebrow in question.
"Okay, it was a big fight. A big fight about how their marriage was a mistake and they should've never had a kid and made this life that neither of them wanted because now they're stuck with a life where they're miserable like they always feared."
Eric looked at her sadly. He hated to see her cry. He promised himself he would always make sure she was happy, and she clearly wasn't happy.
"It's gonna be okay, y/n." Eric told her. "I don't know what's gonna happen with you and your parents, but I know that you're gonna be okay."
"How?" y/n asked as Eric wrapped his arms around her.
"Because you've got me, and I'll always make sure you're okay." Eric told her.
y/n's lips twitched into a comforted smile. She wrapped her arms around Eric's torso and pulled him as close as she could.
"Wanna go to sleep?" Eric asked looking down at her. y/n nodded, and Eric pulled her over to his bed.
The two laid down together. y/n cuddled into Eric's chest listening to his heartbeat. She smiled at the warm feeling in her chest from Eric's embrace.
"I love you, Eric." y/n whispered.
"I love you, too, y/n." Eric kissed her head softly.
y/n fell asleep in the peaceful silence as Eric rubbed her back slowly. She held a content look on her face as she could finally relax.

I hate that Michael and Jackie ended up together for obvious reasons buuut I have to admit the casting for Jay is pretty spot on, he does look like both of them
I totally see AK in the casting of Jay. MK, not so much. Even Kelso's line about his son in "That '90s Pilot" (T9S 1x01) acknowledges that (and his line is ambiguous enough that one can imagine that Brooke is Jay's mom 👀).
Considering how Jackie is characterized (however briefly) in "That '90s Pilot," I don't see any of her in Jay's personality either. He's (Michael) Kelso plus attributes unique to himself (e.g., his love of nature and Zen-ish philosophy, so maybe he's actually Kelso and Hyde's kid, lmao).

DOWNFALL (a.b.)
main hub of all important thangs
Tumblr media
chapter 2
had it been another day i might have looked the other way and i'd have never been aware but as it is i'll dream of her tonight - i've just seen a face, the beatles
——
Canada! Beer!
And.....
A girl woke up.
Nothing like good ol' Michael Kelso screaming on your television about smuggling Canadian beer while proceeding to press a loud ass blow horn — quite proudly, might I add —to stir you from your slumber. And people enjoyed proclaiming that the perfect wake up call didn't exist. I begged to differ.
Welp, that explained the weird ass dreams I had. Syd must have kept the television on while I slept. If she didn't go to bed — so help me God! I swore she drove me up the wall when she stayed up super late and then proceeded to go to work at the ass crack of dawn. How did she manage to stay awake? I wished I knew. I'd clock out if I was her — which now, as I took a good look at myself, I must have done just that last night.
Beautiful.
Finally getting the willpower to actually sit up in bed, I felt all the blood rush to my head. With a groan, I mentally scolded myself that I'd never drink again. Especially when I knew I dreamt up the whole night. For a moment, everything, and I mean literally everything came flooding back into my brain. I winced as I relived the interaction I had with Mr. breathtakingly-beautiful-Ken-Apollo. I cannot believe I actually cackled like a horse. Christ, I could already hear the familiar sound echoing in my ears which only made my head pound ten times harder. I pinched my forehead with my fingers and squeezed my eyes shut to dislodge the memory from my brain cells and excavate the pain.
Yep, he most definitely was not real. I imagined that shit. No one would ever just stand there — let alone stand next to someone like me and fucking talk to me deliberately— looking like that. Absolutely not.
Solid.
Good talk, brain cells.
At least that made me feel a little better, convincing myself that it never happened to absolutely get rid of every trace of embarrassment I unfortunately possessed. I'd never see him again, so none of it mattered, especially when he was a figment of my imagination. See what I did there?
It was absolute torture trying to remove myself from the safe haven I called my bed. Or my boyfriend. Whichever you prefer would be considered suitable enough. I could never pass up a date when it had the most deliciously comfortable comforter ever known to man. At least I believed so. I even had one of those stupid pajama sets you'd find on pinterest from my teens when mustaches were all the rage and all that keep calm shit. Fucking embrassing. But, man did I enjoy wearing that set in front of Sydney, especially when she dragged a guy in the apartment. Shit was funny. She unfortunately did not think so. Must be why she hasn't invited Broccoli Rabe over, but I could only assume, ya know?
I took my walk of shame out of my room and down the hall where the shower greeted my arrival. The tile was cold, and it spurred my eyes open to actually clean off the stench and sweat I collected from last night. How I managed to not notice that my body was still strung up in the simple black dress I tossed on, I didn't know. I was at least glad I made it to my bed in one piece. After showering, letting the hot water relax my tense muscles, and taking the time to thoroughly untangle the mess that became my hair, I dressed in a casual pair of jeans and a button up shirt, putting my hair up – because truly who wanted to deal with that friz ass mess of mine? I already took a billion years to get ready with the exhaustion still seeping into my bones and the headache I couldn't get rid of. I needed tylenol and coffee.
Coffee.
God, I could use a fucking coffee and not just from my simple Keurig machine. I needed real coffee. I needed the shit that lightened up my mood. Sunshine Spot was the place to be, and I sure as fuck needed to head there right now. Nothing was gonna stop me! Well, except for Sydney.
"The corpse has arisen from her ten year slumber!" I didn't even notice her at first, typing away on her computer at the island when I reached for my keys. "How are you feeling, darling?"
"Awful," I groaned, sagging my shoulders with extra emphasis. "Got any tylenol?"
"Already on the counter." She directed my attention to the water and pill on the counter with her pen grasped firmly with her hand. It was then that I noticed she was taking notes. Why wasn't she in the office? Would have been funnier if she did some Alice and WonderLand shit, I thought as I gulped back the pill. That whole eat me, drink me shit. But, it wasn't a good time to make a funky comment, especially when she was busy working. "Figured you'd feel a little funky this morning. Shocked you're up though. You wouldn't believe the shit I went through when I had to bring you home passed out and -"
"The fuck?" I almost spit out my water. What the fuck was she going on about? No, there was no way I passed out.
"Oh right." She stifled a laugh as she dragged the back of her pen across her bottom lip. Seemed like she figured this was common knowledge to me. "You kind of passed out honey. This stupid dude was walking down the stairs, tripped, fell on his ass, and knocked right into you while you were waiting for me to come back. To put it frankly, you went down."
"Oh good God. Don't tell me that." I held my head back, pinching the bridge of my nose.
Guess I couldn't say I dreamed it all when that happened. Jesus, I could only hope the flawless Ken doll didn't catch a glimpse of me hitting the floor. Maybe in some predictable fantasy I could imagine him sweeping me off my feet before I hit the floor, but even that sounded crazy. Guys nowadays would just watch you hit the floor. Sure could attest to that with William Williamson. A story for another time. But, again. Who the fuck was in charge of naming these people? William Williamson seriously. Stupid. Very unoriginal. Could they not think of anything else. I supposed not. Dude went by Billy Williamson, but that wasn't even better. Everyone knew where his first name derived from. Wouldn't need a rocket scientist to figure that one out.
"Sorry," she said meekly, raising her hands in defense before diving back onto her computer.
"Thanks for taking care of me. Hope I wasn't too much of a tassel hassle," I sing-songed for good measure.
"Of course." Her eyes looked blood shot as she stared back at the screen in full focus. How she managed to dive right back in on command was insane to me. I always needed to ease myself back into work when it came down to it. Took her a moment, but then she let out a snort. "Tassel hassle."
"Syd, please don't tell me you didn't sleep last night," I started sternly, reaching for my tote back on the coat rack, making sure everything I needed was still inside. I wore the shit out of this thing. I couldn't tell you how the seams stayed in tack this long, but they did. In other words, you could say I destroyed this poor thing, but she was still kicking.
"I won't then." She didn't dare look at me when I spun back around, almost dropping all my shit on the floor. "Doesn't matter anyways. Dr. Reignus told us we could work from home today. He figured we'd all be toasted. Are you going to the bookstore today, or what? What's on the agenda?"
Reignus. Again. What was up with Los Angeles and their inhabitants' names?
I adjusted my strap on my shoulders, trying to take in all the words Syd piled out of her mouth. How she had this much energy at 9am. A girl would never know. "You sound like a mother with all the questions. Don't worry I will be home before the clock strikes twelve. Wouldn't want to turn into a pumpkin or anything. Or maybe I do? You could make a damn good pie."
"Oh shut up!" She choked out, adjusting her glasses on the bridge of her nose. "It's too early for this."
"What's the dish on Broccoli Rabe?" I switched subjects effortlessly. "Since you're home today, why didn't you guys fuck around last night or something?"
"Well, I was taking care of you." She chewed on the top of her pen as she gazed at me furrowing a brow. "Plus, I have work to do."
"Uh-Uh." I wagged my finger back and forth like a whole dog. "Don't deflect. Way before I hit the hay — you were itching to get out of there as soon as I found you. I may have been drunk, but I have a solid noggin. Remember, watermelon brain?"
She sighed, dropping her pen on the table and ramming her fingers into her temples out of pure stress. "He's confusing. That's all."
Did I hit the wrong nail? I suddenly felt awful for bringing it up. "Brock is probably a rock. Might just take a little longer to crack him open, but don't give up."
She smiled, but it didn't fully match her face. "I won't. Thanks Ri. You always have such a way with words." She broke out a soft chuckle. "Now I gotta get back to work, can you fuck off for a bit? Rather not think of him for longer than I have to."
"Of course! Toodaloo." And then I was out the door, ready to start the day. Whoopie.
Coffee. Right. On a mission for coffee. How could I forget?
Thank my lord and savior Eric Forman once again that the Sunshine Spot was within walking distance from my job. Truly a delight — if I must say. Workers knew me by name and shit. It reminded me of Gilmore Girls — channeling my inner Lorelai Gilmore and all. I always wished I was as cool as her. A legend.
Welp to sum it all up to the best of my abilities, I did the whole internship shabackle that Sydney got wrapped up into, but my experience wasn't as peachy as her's was. I hated corporate America — I still do. Explained why I didn't want to be at that dumb ass party, but Sydney guilted me, claiming she was far too nervous. But basing a majority of the events that circulated during the night, she was all over the place — being the social butterfly we all knew and loved. Not once did she need me, but of course I'd go for her. That's what friends were for. Plus, I had to keep my eye out on Dwayne and his douchery. Gotta do my service as an American and all.
To put it frankly — remember that dude Billy Williamson — yeah William Williamson. That douche burger was one of those rat bastards that made my life a living hell. So much for being a woman in literature. Truly a drag. Especially when there were men dictating every move I made — totally debunking every manuscript I found interesting. This led me to send out the most boring pieces I've ever landed my eyeballs on, all to satisfy my big-buck-dick-head bosses.
Fucking hated that shit.
Not my feng shui — if you will.
So yeah, that was how I ended up at Marlon's book store. God, did I love that old man. Sweetest dude I ever met in my entire life. His store could be considered a national treasure — it carried everything. And I mean everything. One day I took Marilyn there. She was already gushing when she walked through the door at not just the books but the little cute old man himself with his old school glasses. She thought he held so much swag. I let her believe so.
And it sure became 'a hunk a hunk of burning love' as both Mar and Mar loved to describe it. Disgustingly cute. Jesus though, I rather not know what those old peeps do in their free time. I should probably start sanitizing the shelves. Or dust a little more frequently.
Drop that thought, Ri.
Yikes, I was feening for a coffee.
Badly.
I swore all the weight drifted off my body and my whole soul bursted out of me and flew up to the heavens when Sunshine Spot finally came into view. It normally wasn't the worst walk of my life — but today wasn't normal.
The cute little cheesy bell rang as I walked through my favorite place, meeting the face of my favorite work-a-holic. Wait, I might of lied about Marlon being the cutest cause who the fuck could forget about Sherry Blossom— people say it was her stage name back in the day, but when it came to Sherry there was no room for questioning. She was simply an enigma. This woman right here was eighty-fucking-five still working up a storm at Sunshine cafe. I swore she's been here since the day the doors opened at this little gem of a place.
Once she told me, "Never let people look at you like you're some old sack of shit that can't move a muscle anymore. When people drop their opinions all over the place — where they are surely not needed or even wanted — I just say, 'If you think you're throwing me in some old people's home, you got another thing coming for you. Yep, that's a threat.'"
Cracked me the fuck up.
Alright, alright. So, I had one friend my age and then some elders.
Leave me alone.
"There she is!" Sherry's cheerful voice that she only seemed to have reserved for me — as from what I was told by her coworkers — welcomed me. "My girl. How are you?"
"Howdy girl. Could be better," I sulked, tossing my tote on a stool and plopping myself on the one right next to it.
She stopped what she was doing the moment she took in that my 'howdy wasn't as enthusiastic as it usually whenever I saw her. "What's the matter?" She dropped the towel she was wiping the table with, giving me her full attention.
What an angel.
I adjusted myself awkwardly in the stool, my head leaning on my hand, my arm resting on the table — my body on a whole angle like I fucked some protractor. "Unfortunately I'm a teenie-weenie bit hungover." I maneuvered my other hand, eyeing it in front of my face as I measured the distance between my thumb and middle finger to emphasize my point. Her eyes lit up for a moment, taking in my words but I was quick to debunk her thoughts. "But, don't worry. I never wanted to go to said party in the first place, and nothing too awful happened. I just passed out but -"
Ah, geometry. A beautiful thing.
"You passed out?!" Lord Jesus, that woman had some real pipes. Every head under the sun turned. Just great. "Are you okay? Lemme have a look at your face." She dived forward, not even bothering to ask  before she was taking me all in — holding both sides of my head to dissect my face. She turned my head in every which way like some voodoo doll, but how could I complain when she cared so much for me? More than most. We were close enough so I didn't really mind. I'd come here for years. She helped me when I was sat here crying my eyes out over some stupid professor that was being a dick to me, and even helped me get the fuck out of that dick of an internship with her perfect convincing. "You poor thing. Hit up the coffee pot stat — my girl needs a glass!" She called out to no one in particular and shockingly everyone behind the counter moved — no one hesitated. She was that powerful. What a woman. Another human that was on the list of my legends — the same one as Lorelai Gilmore, and I supposed Eric Forman if you felt obligated to include him.
In two seconds flat, a beautiful iced coffee — just the way I liked it, sat beautifully in front of me. So pretty, I didn't even want to touch it, but man I needed a fix. "You're incredible." I licked my lips, staring right at the glass in amazement, mesmerized by the way the ice sat against the liquid.
"Anything for you." She blushed madly. "Going to work today or hanging out for a little while?"
Pulling out my phone, I checked the time. Marlon was way too fucking chill about scheduling. He honestly couldn't care less about when I came in, but I still hated not being on time. But, noting my current predicament, I figured I'd just shoot him a little text that I'd be late today. I genuinely did not want to deal with customers complaining. Not when my head was still pounding, and I was waiting for the tylenol to kick in. "I can stay for a tad."
"Good." She reached out, grasping my hand. Leaning forward she nodded at me to move forward as if she was gonna tell me a secret. "These customers today are already driving me fucking nuts. I'm sorry but who orders a burger at seven in the morning and complains about it being well done when they asked for that shit when they ordered. Not our fault. Idiot. Thank goodness you're here."
Don't get confused. The place is an enigma just like Blossom. It was everything you could imagine. A cafe/diner — practically a six piece restaurant all wrapped into one cute little place. Sometimes Los Angeles could be amazing, but only for this. Gotta love Sunshine Spot.
I forgot my lips were attached to the straw and I blew fucking bubbles in response. The bubbled up liquid shot out the sides and landed on the table, serving up a whole mess. "Guess you can add me to that list of f-" I got cut off by a bell from the back.
"Sher!" A girl called from behind the counter. "Could you take this one — I got my hands full." She wasn't lying. Two trays stacked with so much food for a whole army.
But, that didn't seem to please Sher. She just rolled her eyes. "I gotta do everything around here." She lifted up the rag in her hand and waved it madly. "Oh and look, I gotta deal with this schmuck staring at his phone. If the order gets fucked up it's not my probem. Pay attention," she whispered so no one else could hear.
I loved this woman.
I watched as she trailed off a few seats away, huffing as she proceeded to aggressively flip her pad to write down some dude's order. For a moment my smile was infectious, burning against my cheeks as I watched one of my favorite ladies do her thang. But then, as I looked over some more I became acutely aware of the dude she was serving. Why the fuck did he look so familair?
What was it?
Think Rianne.
Hmmm. Sandy blonde hair. Black Shades. Alright. Light denim button up. Black shorts. White sneakers. Button nose. Half buttoned top. Gold chain.
Wait a fucking minute?
Intermission.
Move your hand, you bitch.
I needed to know if it was him.
Dude's pointer finger was stuck behind his phone.
Whatever. Probably not who I thought it was anyways. Stop losing your marbles Rianne.
Nope. Nevermind. Act two. Holy fucking shit.
It was him.
Ken-greek-god-lifeguard-model-surfer-beach-boy-hot-shot extraordinaire.
Didn't need the ring to know when I once again had the full range of that glorious side profile I practically had embedded into my memory somehow from the night before. Thanks to the lords he took off his shades. Guess my drunken brain was quite fond of him — but how could I blame her when he looked like that? Jesus, he looked even better in the daytime, etched in the sun instead of those idiotic disco lights that could give you the worst headache of your life.
If only he'd look up from that phone, I could see his eyes — or that ring. Oh God, He put his phone away. The ring. There it is, confirming it all. Ding. Ding. People, I feared we had a winner! Now, his eyes scanned the joint.
I cannot do this right now.
Immediately, I panicked, stopping the first server in front of me that passed by. "Menu." I hissed quite lowly, keeping my head down.
"Huh?" They looked at me like I'd just emitted a noise instead of speaking a real word.
"Menu," I hissed again — a little louder this time, but not loud enough that it would draw any unwanted attention — keeping my head down.
Whatever you do, don't make eye contact.
"Didn't you already order?" They looked at me quizzically. I raised a brow. They didn't question me further.
Snatching the menu off the table, I held up the monstrosity up to my face like a whole shield. Perfect. Amazing. If I won't see him, he won't see me.
Solid logic.
"The hell you doing back there?" My girl Sher's voice suddenly boomed from behind my menu of shield, making me almost jump out of my seat. Her cute little wrinkled up manicured finger suddenly came into view — attempting to push down the menu so she could see my face.
I tried to come up with a good excuse, but it wasn't great. "Researching," I spat out.
"That's strange, but alright. If you find out what they put in the gravy, let me know. I mean I already do, but it would be fun if you found that out." She sounded a little distant, but I didn't dare move — my heart pounding a mile a minute. "See. Shouldn't have drank that alcohol. You don't only gotta worry about your liver, but your brain. Fucks it all up."
"Thanks for the advice," I murmured while trying to take a peak over the menu only to see eyes I never got a chance to see before taking in our interaction. Holy shit were they blue. He even looked confused as hell. Yep, I looked like a crazy woman again in front of him — lovely.
Abort mission. Abort mission.
"Bye Sher! I gotta go." And then I bounced right out. Dropping the menu, grabbing my tote, and sprinting out the door without another look.
That was a close one.
"I thought you were-" I heard her begin, but her words caught off as soon as the door swung close and that oh so familiar bell rang in my ears. God, that was gonna leave a mark on my brain now. Delish. Perfect. Amazing.
Nope, never again. Not gonna see him again, but damn that was kinda crazy.

That 90s Show reminds me distinctly of The One That Could Have Been, that AU two part ep in Friends where they imagine what their lives would be like had they made different choices...
Jackie (sitting on Hyde's lap): God, could you imagine if I said yes to Michael's random, stupid marriage proposal with that stupid balloon? If I married you? Eww.
Camera pans, to Kelso.
Kelso (flinching, his arm around Brooke): Hey! I'm a beautiful specimen.
Camera pans, to Fez.
Fez (with an affirming nod): What if I owned my own salon, because Laurie didn't get in the way? It would be called... Chez Fez.
Camera pans, back to Kelso and Brooke.
Brooke: That seems like a happier ending, for you. What if Michael was a deadbeat dad...
Camera pans, back to Jackie and Hyde.
Jackie: To your daughter, and to our son? Eww.
Camera pans, to Eric and Donna.
Eric: What if your son wooed our innocent, geeky daughter? And she got into the same shenanigans we got into as kids?
Donna (joking, chuckling): What if our daughter was named Leia?
Eric (wide eyed, stuttering): I would never, ever... *to Donna* You were my Leia, until you became my Mara...
Cut back, to Jackie and Hyde.
Hyde: Forman, you named your kid Leah.
Jackie: Yeah, and she's too busy wooing our innocent baby boy. And she's only five!
Cut back, to Eric and Donna.
Eric (gesturing wildly): It takes two to tango in that blanket fort, okay? *Awkwardly clearing his throat* And the name Leah is the result of an inside joke, mind you...
Donna: I would never let you name our daughter Leia, even if you wanted to, for some freaking reason...
Eric (awkwardly clearing his throat, abruptly changing the subject): Well, do you guys think if all of those things happened, for some reason, we'd still hang out...?
Fade, to an alternate universe. Called That 90s Show...

chapter: 1/? | words: 1.5k | in progress
summary:
diverging from s01e13 ski trip, what would have happened if kelso had started an affair with his girlfriend's mom?
teaser:
“Say Michael, have you and my daughter been dating very long?”
“Oh yeah, it’s been almost 4 months now.” Kelso stated proudly, but then pouted, “But it feels like it’s been forever. Jackie won’t even let me reach second base with her and I’ve been really good about not doing it with anyone else because she wants us to lose our virginities together, but it’s really hard, Pam.”
“Oh, I can just imagine. Jackie is stubborn just like her father.” Pam seemed to have made a decision. She shrugged her shoulders, the coverup slipping down her arm artfully and exposing her barely-held-together-by-a-skimpy-bikini-top breasts. Michael’s eyes zeroed on them like a beacon and Pamela smiled, taking a step closer to the younger boy, “Say Michael- if you ever get bored… waiting for Jackie…” She placed a hand under his chin, raising it up so that their eyes met, “how about you come and find me?”
