Being a variant and being on Miles’ side [GN]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Platonic Headcanons]
c/w: major spoilers, gender neutral terms and pronouns (they/them), no gendered terms used to describe reader, canon inaccuracies? I’m not really sure I’d just gone off what I had perceived from the movie
[Unedited]
• Miguel and Jessica had been keeping a keen eye on the teenager spider variant (you) from Earth-2315126 since you’d been bitten at five years old
• Strange thing was your father; Peter Parker was also bit, which meant your dimension had two spider variants as opposed to one— not unheard of but not common either
• It was fortunate for you however because you had someone to teach you, show you the ropes, the fact that it was your father who had become your mentor was only the icing on the cake
• And you were brought up into a spectacular spider variant in his care; strong, compassionate, kind
• Though despite having a father the pair kept a watchful eye on you regardless, seeing promise in your future and believing in your potential
• When you were fourteen your father was killed by Lizard, and for an entire year following you gave up on your heroic persona— hanging up your suit in the wake of your father’s death that rocked your entire world
• Being Spider-Man/Woman is about sacrifice, your father taught that to you when you began and you should’ve expected that you could not have it all
• A loving and doting father and the most badass secondary identity ever, it was always bound to happen and you should’ve prepared yourself for it
• But nobody could prepare themself for the loss of a loved one, and the ache in your chest and the burn in your stomach was something you’d never felt before— nor do you ever wish to feel it again
• So you gave up on the suit and you gave up on being the hero, eventually your Aunt May had stepped in and she scolded you pretty heavily about your state
• You didn’t think she had room to talk and she laid into you pretty hard for that comment because she most certainly did, Peter was her brother after all
• After you got it pretty good you decided that she was right, sulking about and ruining yourself wouldn’t change a damn thing, not only that but you knew your father would hate to see you like that
• You knew he wouldn’t ever force the suit upon you and you accepted that you had the choice to avoid dawning it ever again, but you also knew what he would do in your position
• He would bear the responsibility of his beloved city no matter the circumstances and no matter the heartache, because Spider-Man always gets back up
• So you stood firm upon all the valiant determination you could muster and picked your life back up again
• You got better emotionally and grew stable once more, and in the acceptance of your father’s death you had grown stronger, confident, courageous
• With you back on the streets of NYC the people of Brooklyn often voiced just how much they had missed and needed you
• And you didn’t plan on letting them down again, so despite the lack of a piece of your heart you always showed up when people needed you and you’ve not yet let them down
• Now, back to Jess and Miguel— they had known Peter would die and they had known they could not interfere as this was your canon event, the moment that would make or break you.. turns out it did both
• And they watched as you suffered through the loss, gave up on everything and everyone (including yourself) for a little over a year, worked through your pain and powered forward to overcome your grief, then became one of the strongest variants they had ever seen just before your seventeenth birthday
• Yes, they’ve been watching you for twelve years and yes, you have no idea
• It was on your seventeenth birthday that you had encountered Lizard once again, and this time he had taken enhancement drugs to increase his growth rate to tremendously rapid levels
• To say you were a bit stunned to see Lizard the size of a fucking dinosaur would be the understatement of the entire damn year
• Now, you held malicious and vengeful feelings towards Lizard for a long time in the wake of your father’s murder but it was feelings you had never ever acted upon, not even after you decided to pick up the suit once more
• As mentioned before you knew very well that the angry and hateful feeling brewing inside you at the expense of Lizard killing him could ruin you if you let it
• And that’s not where your morals lie, your beliefs and virtues are straight from those of your fathers— to be strong and courageous, righteous and pure for being Spider-Man/Woman is about hope
• So you did intend to take him down but you’d never do it with sinister intent or threatening tactics— just bring him down is all you wanted to do
• And if you were to speak honestly, it wasn’t as hard as you thought it was gonna be, obviously it was still pretty tough because hello? He’s the size of a fucking house, might as well be fighting a damn dragon
• It was easier because you’d felt at peace with yourself, and when at peace with yourself you worked harder and cleaner, jobs and protecting the city was just.. easier
• The fact the fight was easier than you expected could’ve also been because of your bite, the abilities you had gotten from it were a bit different than your father’s
• See, you’d been bit by a radioactive spider yes but it was a specific species and in accordance with that species you’d gained significantly different skills and traits
• The spider that had bit you was a Northern Wolf Spider, the arachnid gaining that name from it’s behavior of chasing, hunting and stalking prey, and in an odd turn of events you’d gained qualities that were more akin to that of a North American Timber Wolf
• Heightened senses came with the bite for every variant, and your specific qualities included; advanced stamina and strength, increased sense of sight, tremendously keen sense of smell and auditory processing, you had thick and durable fangs meant for tearing and searing
• You also bulked up a whole more more since your father passed, and in gaining more weight in pure muscle you’ve had to make your webs more durable, which helped out a lot with your fight against Lizard
• Speaking of—
“They’ve probably got it handled Miguel, is there any reason to actually go to their dimension?”
“I protect the multiverse which makes anomalies my responsibility, regardless of if that variant can handle them or not. And I’m going to have them join us.”
Jessica didn’t say much after, and she followed Miguel dutifully as he walked into the glowing orange portal. The pair flew through the multiverse for all of two seconds before a portal opened ahead of them and they were dropped onto a roof in your dimension.
“Went a bit too heavy on the ‘roids didn’t ya Doc?” The voice of a young teenager caught their ears. Just off to the side and a couple blocks away. Now facing that way they could see the large head of Lizard standing tall over the lip of the building on the distance.
“Is.. is that?—”
“Dr. Curt Connors.”
You leapt off the metal grail of the fire escape just as Lizard destroyed it with a whip of his massive tail. Using the momentum from your jump you swung a reverse axe kick to Lizard’s chin— putting enough force into it to throw his head back as you flip-jumped from him and landed on the road down below.
“I’m going to rip you apart and feast on your innards!” Lizard snarled as he recovered and glowered down at you with a sinister bear of his teeth.
“Season them well first at least, I’d suggest a nice barbecue rub!” You responded before shooting a web to the corner of the building on your left and swinging yourself into the air. Lizard roared angrily before lunging forward and attempting to catch you between his teeth. They snapped close with a chilling clamp and throaty growl from the beast.
Reaching the corner of the building you had shot your web at you leapt up and backwards flying over Lizard’s head and connecting a web to the side of his muzzle.
“Almost got me there!” You yelled as you swung around and around Lizard’s large scaled snout. “Don’t you know that animals that bite are often fitted with muzzles!” You quipped, enunciating the last word with a firm tug thus tightening the webs you’d been wrapping around his jaws and effectively sealing his mouth shut.
You kept the momentum and attached another web to the end of the one you’d been swinging around his muzzle. Then, you angled your hip to swing towards Lizard’s legs and using the same tactic looped around them several times before you were doing the same thing for his arms. When you deemed him wrapped up enough you landed behind him then tugged hard on the web end in your hand and forced Lizard to the ground by pulling his feet out from underneath him.
Once you were sure he was on the asphalt you were swift to web him up tightly and bind him to the ground. Hopefully, Captain Stacey got your message about the antidote and would arrive soon with it.
Meanwhile, as you waited you playfully walked along the edge of the building. The lip acting as your balance beam as you walked on your toes along it, doing a flip every so often just cause. You’d long since forgone your mask in favor of eating the sandwich gifted to you by the bodega owner on the corner.
Your spider senses tingled before—
“That was pretty impressive.”
You only flinched slightly at the abrupt interruption of your own little world, and turned to see two people. One, a very tall and broad man with wide shoulders and a muscular physique. The other, a woman with dark skin and a styled afro.. and she was pregnant.
“Uhm… thanks?”
“Was that a question?”
“Sorry it’s just—” you shook your head before jumping down and only now standing on the same level as him did you realize how tall the man actually was. “Who exactly are you two?”
“I’d think the suits gave you plenty context.” The woman replied, a smirk tugging up one end of her lips.
“Okay.. and why are you here?” You answered, still on edge about the two variants standing in front of you.
“My name is Miguel O’hara, and I lead an elite strike force dedicated to helping maintain the multiverse.” The man responded and you quirked an eyebrow at him.
“That still doesn’t explain why you’re here?”
“There was an anomaly reading in your dimension and we’re here to retrieve whatever villain has jumped into your universe.” The woman explained, jumping in to answer before Miguel could.
“You mean Kingpin?” You replied pointing to the billboard behind them and they both spun around to find the suit wearing antagonist webbed to it. Thick, white webs covering his entire body save for his neck and head, finally a web over his mouth. And they all watched as he glitched and morphed in colorful and mixed patterns, the board he was attached to glitching out too before changing entirely.
“How did you?—”
“My AP Physics teacher won’t shut up about the multiverse and also he doesn’t look my Kingpin at all so.. I mean you know,” they shrugged.
Miguel turned his head slightly to look at the woman beside him before he jerked his head minutely then he was facing the teenager in front of him once more. You met his masked stare head on (something he was impressed by, not many people can meet his intimidating glare straight on) as the woman walked away from you two before slinging a web up to the billboard and pulling herself up to it.
“You know the whole sinister and dark ‘nobody touch me I’m emo’ vibe you got going on isn’t very heroic.”
Miguel didn’t say anything, didn’t move an inch as he just stared at you. “See that right there isn’t becoming of someone who’s supposed to make people feel safe.”
“I protect the multiverse.”
“Right. But there are ordinary people in the multiverse, in every dimension you’ll find people.”
“The multiverse is my priority.”
“Yikes, saying things like that are not very becoming of a Spider-Man either.”
Miguel turned his observant stare cold as he chose to glare at you instead for the disrespectful responses and jokes. And he figured you must’ve felt he’d changed to glaring heatedly because you awkwardly looked away with a hand rubbing the back of your neck.
Finally, the woman returned with the Kingpin variant at her feet. This one significantly smaller than yours and lankier too, he must rely heavily on his Tombstone and Prowler. You’d rather have this Kingpin as opposed to your Kingpin— who for some reason is built like a fucking overgrown Silverback Gorilla.
She fiddled with the watch on her wrist before a golden portal erupted into life beside her, and you watched as she threw the Kingpin variant in before stepping in herself. But not before saluting you a goodbye with a playful glint in her eye and cheeky smirk on her face.
The portal closed and then your attention was back on Miguel, and your spider senses tingling brought a hand up to catch the watch he threw at you.
“Join us?”
You looked from him to the device in your hand, then you looked behind you at the Lizard on the ground down below. Captain Stacey at his neck and injecting him with a vial of clear liquid. You turned back to Miguel with a smirk and eager look as you slid the watch onto your wrist. “Sounds like a damn good time.”
• You didn’t know if you actually wanted to be there at Miguel’s Spider Society or whatever he’s calling it but you were also a bit intrigued by it
• So you followed them when he offered you that watch, and you grinned as he gave walked you around the building, giving you a small tour of his headquarters
• When you met Peter B. Parker you had an emotional breakdown and refused to return to the society for days following your first interaction with the man
• When you finally went back he was concerned that he’d done something wrong to garner such a reaction but you were quick to jump in and let him know it was in no way his fault before you explained why you had reacted as you did
• He was more than understanding, offering to keep his distance if that was what you wanted and whilst you appreciated the gesture you told him you would be fine
• And spending time in his company had begun to fill that gaping hole in your heart, obviously he’d never replace your father and you didn’t expect that of him either but his fatherly presence made you feel better than you had in years since your father’s passing
• Mayday was just an added bonus to his presence
• Time passed and you were there for a couple months before you met Gwen Stacey, and the two of you clicked almost instantly, it was a bit odd for you since the Gwen from your universe was about three years old and hadn’t been bitten but you got used to it
• And in that time you’d also learned the pregnant woman’s name was Jessica and that she was Miguel’s right hand in his society that he created
• You’d also met Hobie Brown and Pavitr Prabhakar whom you’d come to adore more than you’d ever outwardly admit lest you wish to give them egos the size of fucking Mars (but those two alongside Gwen were definitely your favorites) (behind Miguel ofc)
• Speaking of, you’d also grown quite close to Miguel in your time as part of his society of spider people, which was a huge surprise to yourself, him, Jessica and pretty much everyone involved
• He couldn’t really explain what it was, just something about your energy and the way you carried yourself that had him intrigued and impressed
• Your attitude that alluded to you never giving up was something he admired about you too, and it was those qualities that drew him in, made him want to protect you
• The bonding with you was something he didn’t expect to happen but was shocked when he wasn’t against it, and he ignored the initial reluctance and fear that he felt when you two began to get closer and closer
• Maybe it was the little things, the way you’d check up on him after a particularly harrowing or difficult mission, or the way you’d do anything to see if you could get him to crack a smile, there was something about your mere presence too, something warm and comforting
• Something he hadn’t felt since his young daughter was still a part of his life, and he was afraid of the consequences that would follow if he ever got close to you and lost you
• The same heartache he felt for his daughter would return, and it was pain that he didn’t want to feel ever again, that’s why he kept himself so guarded, those broken and vulnerable pieces protected behind vaulted steel doors
• But you had somehow managed to slip through his barbed defenses and made yourself right at home in his heart, and again he was initially afraid of the possibility that he’d lose you too and he’d face that pain all over again
• He doesn’t remember when or how he got over it, but he does remember the feeling that washed over him when he finally accepted your friendship
• It felt akin to a bucket of cold water being dumped over that fiery and searing ache in his chest, relief and comfort that he felt weigh so heavily on his chest he almost cried
• After that your guys’ relationship developed to much deepen levels, and he’d never admit to your face but you had quickly become his favorite and he would do anything to protect you, protect your bond like his life depended on it
• And just like Peter, his mere presence seemed to make you finally feel whole again… complete
• And as time continued to pass you’d only grow closer with the two men, finding safety and comfort in their arms, safety and comfort you’d been craving since you were fourteen years old
• Then, Miles Morales came along and everything went to shit
• Despite being on his team for months Miguel failed to mention that there was a spider variant that was an anomaly
• And in failing to mention that you had to figure it out on your own when Miles’ scent hit your nose and he smelled drastically different from the other spider people
• He smelt odd, unnatural and unusual… strange
• It didn’t take you long to figure out that he was an anomaly but you still figured it out by the way his scent, and you thanked the stars for that particular gift you got from the species of spider that had bitten you
• After Miles, Hobie and Gwen returned from the rescue they accomplished in Pavitr’s dimension at the expense of Spot is when things went from bad to ultimately worse
• Miguel had hoped somewhere small in his chest that you would side with him but he knew in a significantly larger part of him that your morals would not allow you to stand for him preventing Miles from saving his father
• Miguel knew that if you had known your father would’ve been killed that horrible night those years ago that you would’ve interfered without hesitation
• So he was not confident that you’d agree with him and well over half of the rest of the spider variants that this is something that must occur
• And he feared the confrontation with you, he feared the hate he’d no doubt see in your eyes when you find out this is where he stood on his opinion about the situation
• He wasn’t wrong either, because when Miles had returned and they all had cornered him after Miles discovered that Spot would be the cause, you didn’t take it all that well—
You were conflicted, you cared about Miguel but you’re morals and beliefs were very important to you— defined who you were. They were instilled into you by your father and you truly believed that by following through with them to the end you were keeping his legacy alive.
And they were loud in your ears right now, deafening in their prominent voice as you watched Miles get more and more tightly wound.
The thing was.. you agreed with him. And your father would’ve agreed with him too. There is no way Miguel knows for absolute certainty that Miles’ universe would collapse if he saved his father. And there’s no way any of the other spider variants could possibly know either.
There were facts and evidence on Miguel’s side but again— your values were speaking much louder than him. Because your father would’ve been disgusted by the behavior these spider variants were displaying, and he would’ve straight up hated Miguel. That you were absolutely sure of.
“This is wrong Miguel,” you spoke up and the spider variant you were speaking of turned to look at you. “You’re just going to let someone die when you know you could change the outcome? How could you possibly think that’s okay?”
“[Y/Name]—”
“Spider-Man isn’t about the acceptance of loss and grief yet to come, Spider-Man is about hope, hope and promise of a greater tomorrow. Hope that there will always be someone there to help… someone there to protect those who can’t do so themselves.”
“The security of the multiverse is important!” Miguel argued, his tone aggressive and his expression frustrated as he ignored the ache on his chest. The ache that had erupted into existence at the expense of his theory proving correct— you would be against him.
“No! What’s important is not standing by and allowing someone to suffer or die! If that’s truly what you believe, then you don’t know the first damn thing about being Spider-Man!”
“[Y/Name]…” Peter B. trailed as he got your attention, walking closer to you and putting a gentle hand on your shoulder. “We cannot interfere.”
You smacked his hand off your shoulder and stepped back and away from him several times to be standing beside Miles instead. “You too? Peter this is wrong, so unbelievably fucking wrong!”
“[Y/Name], I can’t let you get in the way. I’m sorry.” Miguel apologized before he was throwing something at yours and Miles’ feet. The device activated and put up a scarlet force field, Miles panicked and beat against the walls. As the variants outside the force field argued you looked to Miguel and Miguel only. And he looked right back. You just stared at him, eyes hard and brows taut and pulled together as he stared right back.
You ignored Miles as he continued to search for a way out, Miguel finally pulled his eyes off yours as Peter B. advanced on him. “Miguel! This is taking it too far!”
“He’ll only do more damage, we all know that!”
As they continued to argue outside the shield you turned your back on Miguel and flexing your fingers extended your thick and powerful claws. You could tear this force field apart if you truly tried, that’s what you were going to do. But before you could even put your hands up your senses tingled and you instinctively put your arms around your head to protect yourself as the shield was destroyed by a powerful electrical surge.
When Miles destroyed the force field he hesitated for but a single moment before he turned, grabbed your wrist and took off.
“[Y/NAME]!”
You distantly heard behind you before you were freeing yourself from Miles to run beside him instead, and you two sprinted through Miguel’s headquarters with you leading him seeing as you’ve already been there for close to a little more than six months.
Getting out wasn’t hard, at least not for you. The variants certainly tried but they weren’t any match for you. A well seasoned and thoroughly trained hero with twelve years of polishing your expertise and craft to a fine point.
Miles had a little trouble keeping up but you didn’t get too far ahead of him in which he couldn’t follow, you two only got separated once. And whilst you weren’t entirely sure where he’d gone off to, you had the absolute pleasure of facing off against Miguel (note the sarcasm).
Your senses tingled as you discreetly swung through the underbelly of Miguel’s HQ, and you pulled yourself up just in time to avoid Miguel’s web. And the two of you fought and danced around each other throughout headquarters. Miguel trying to capture you and yourself avoiding that outcome at all costs by expertly evading him. When you had finally reached outside you met up again with Miles on the train overhead cover that was speeding upon a vertical track at astronomical velocity.
It was hard to hang on, even more so with Miguel on your ass but you made due. Better you than Miles and you’d gladly fend off Miguel for him if it meant he could find his way home to save his dad in time. Maybe it was a selfish part of you that wished something for him that you wanted to have, or maybe you truly just wished only the best for the younger variant.
Either way, Miguel was kicking your ass instead of his and you could live with that.
The 2099 Spider-Man choke slammed you onto the cold, hard metal of the futuristic locomotive and pinned you there by a hand around your neck.
“Can’t you see?! He’s the original anomaly! He’s not meant to be here! He is not Spider-Man!” The man snarled in your face. The anger he was feeling making his fangs appear and he sneered down at you, bearing them ferociously.
“He’s more Spider-Man than you’ll ever be!” You retaliated, attempting any sharp words pointed enough to cut him deep and painful. And you watched as his face turned and grew solemn for only one second before he was darkening his expression and snarling at you again.
“I hate to do this to you, but I can’t lose you over this!” He yelled over the roaring grind of the moving train. And your heart fell to your toes when he beared his fangs again— this time with a wide open mouth. A second later he was lunging forward intent to inject your body with venom.
You thanked whatever god above was listening for your much quicker reflexes as you caught him by the lower jaw and redirected his lunge to the air beside you instead.
Then you were bringing your legs up and forcing him away from you, not wasting a second you shot a web to the top car of the locomotive. You pulled yourself all the way up to where Miles had perched himself, and just before you could get a word out Miguel erupted out of nowhere and tackled Miles down.
You moved to help but got a web wrapped around your wrist instead, whoever shot it pulled you off your feet and then you found yourself under Peter B. Parker and Mayday instead.
“[Y/Name], enough!”
“No!”
“You can’t change destiny!” He argued, just as Miguel had done before, pinning you to the ground— though Peter’s was less of an attempt to capture you and just in a way to get you to listen to him.
“We control our own destiny Peter.”
“This’ll put the multiverse in danger! If you’d known your father would’ve been killed that night would you have saved him even if it meant there was an off-chance of your dimension being destroyed?!” Peter was just trying to reason with you now, and you stared directly into his warm brown eyes as you answered him.
“Without question.”
Peter drew back a bit at your response, then you watched behind him as Miguel flew overhead. That was your cue, so you grabbed Peter’s shoulders and utilized the enhanced strength of your specialty skills to push him off you.
Not enough to hurt him or Mayday but enough to give you space to escape, which you did. Once given enough breathing room to leap you leapt, jumping from the locomotive to fly through the air instead. Miles followed you, and Miguel was right behind.
You didn’t get much of that end of the chase, swinging directly to the headquarters and sneaking in past Kess and standing on the platform the machine usually used to send variants back to their proper dimensions.
It was minutes later when the machine suddenly came to life and you watched as the numerous screens turned on, looking a little closer you saw that it was Miles and that he was using his invisibility power to get the machine up and going.
Seconds later you felt his presence land beside you, and as the mechanical spider above lowered down and began creating the web to send Miles home and consequently you to his universe— Miguel erupted through the glass doors like a bat out of Hell.
And you stood back and watched as he sprinted to the platform’s edge, leapt over the gap and began furiously clawing at the web’s exterior.
Just as he was pulling it apart, the sequence completed and you and Miles were lifted into the air as the portal was created before the machine was throwing the two of you through the multiverse and into Miles’ universe.
• After the exhausting and frustrating chase, and even more annoying escape you and Miles had made.. you decided to follow him to his dimension, if only just to see that he’d be okay
• But he took off the second he was back in his own universe (or so you thought) and you were quick to follow, calling out his name in an attempt to get him to slow down but he did not listen
• So you just followed as he swiftly made his way to his apartment, only upon arrival you decided it might be best if you stayed outside which is exactly what you did, and you listened as he told his mom the truth and she responded with a question of her own not knowing who he was referring to
• When your spider senses started tingling uncontrollably is when you though something might be wrong so you webbed yourself to the roof of the building directly across Miles’ apartment and just observed from there
• As you watched him interact with a man that you assumed was his uncle your senses tingled again only it was too late to react when a muscled arm wrapped around your waist and a gloved hand covered your mouth, and then you were pulled backwards and through the portal into another dimension
• Upon arrival at the new universe you were pinned to the ground on your stomach by a heavy weight much larger and much stronger atop you, holding your arms in the small of your back and forcing you tighter against the ground
• You knew it was Miguel and you knew that unlike back at headquarters this pinch would be tighter to get yourself out of— so you didn’t intend to fight against him, you’d already done more than enough for Miles and on the off chance he still needed you then and only then would you fight for him again
• Until then, you’d accepted the fact you’d been captured, so you slumped to the rain soaked concrete of the building’s roof, and as you lay there you could only hope Miles had reached his father on time
a/n: Feel like it got kinda lame at the end but I hope you enjoyed the first post of the blog regardless! I’m super excited to get this blog started! Spiderverse is my hyper-fixation right now so that’s what I’ll be focusing on for a moment! Again, hope you enjoyed! Ciao!

“What color do you want?” Your eyes looked through the rows of nail polish you had organized on top of your dresser. A large teasing smile was plastered on your face as you searched. Miguel muttered curses under his breath, his eye twitching in annoyance at your smile. After hours of you pleading and begging Miguel to allow you to paint his nails, he finally caved in, saying he was sick and tired of your pestering. Though, he wasn’t too happy about it. His knitted brows and deep scowl spoke volumes to you.
You found his whole childish act amusing. This grown man, who’s your father, is acting like it’s the end of the world because you wanted to paint his nails. Miguel didn’t respond to your question from earlier, probably too busy throwing a huge tantrum inside his head to respond, so you decided to choose for him. You plucked a few colors from the rows and laid them down on your palms. “Which ones?”
Miguel huffed out, his eyes looking at the polishes on your hands before looking down at his hands. Was he trying to imagine which color would suit him better? A shaky smile threatened to pull on your lips but you quickly pursed your lips into a thin line when Miguel’s eyes darted over to your face, eyelids menacingly narrowing at you. “Paint them white.”
You gave him a weird look. “White? But that’s so basic.” You looked down at the colors you picked out, pointing at a red and black one. “What about red and black? So it’ll match your suit.”
Now it was his turn to give you a weird look.
“My suit doesn’t have any black on it.” He tells you, shaking his head disapprovingly. “Either you paint my nails white or you don’t paint my nails at all.” He said, using his pointer finger to accentuate the gravity of his words.
“Fine, fine.” You store all the polishes away, leaving you with his plain white color. You take the polish and lead him to your desk where he sits on the chair. You grab your own chair and sit in front of him.
“Put your hands on the desk.” You instruct as you shook the nail polish. Miguel places both hands on your desk, splaying his fingers apart. “You promise you won’t peel the polish off afterward?”
Miguel sighs. “I promise.”
“Do you pinky promise?” You popped up your pinky, waiting for Miguel to wrap his pinky around yours to seal the deal.
A small smile is slightly visible on his lips. He hooked his pinky with yours, sealing the promise tightly. “I pinky promise.”
You beamed happily, twisting open the polish. “Okay! That’s good to hear.” You pull out the brush and sweep it against the edge, removing any excess paint. You motion Miguel to move his hands a little closer to you. He complies with a slight huff and you begin to paint his nails.
You’d occasionally have to slap his hand to tell him to stop moving. He claimed that the brush tickled him but you didn’t believe him. It got to the point where you had to give him a 5-minute break between each coat. He found your complaints entertaining, you assumed he was acting that way just to mess with you.
“Oh, it’s starting to tickle. I need my five-minute break.” He already started to move his hand away but before he could escape, you caught his wrist with your other hand and pinned it back down to the desk. “I haven’t even finished!” You whined out, kicking his leg playfully under the desk. “You’re literally doing this on purpose, Pa.”
“I’m not.” You would’ve bought his whole act if you didn’t look at his face. His huge smirk gave it all way. You rolled your eyes, focusing back on his nails. “Give it up.”
A snort could be heard from Miguel at your response.
After a few more coats and fanning, you finally finished his nails. “I’m done!” You cheered. “What do you think?”
Miguel looked at his nails, nodding his head slowly in an approving matter. “Not bad.” He flexes his fingers, looking genuinely happy with his nails. You shook your head affectionately.
“See! And to think you were throwing a whole fit about it not too long ago.” You tease, twisting the polish closed. “I should give you French tips next time.” You got up from your chair and placed the polish back where it belonged.
“There isn’t going to be a next time.” He said.
There was a next time.

OKAY HEAR ME OUT-
Miguel’s teen!kid!reader hosts venom and is super strong because of that which got them into the spider society. BUT!! Spiders see venom as a villain (big sad) and make fun of reader for hosting venom, calling them a villain and traitor. Your Father is Miguel O’Hara
He’ll have moments where he’ll need to hold you just to make sure you’re still there with him and not disappearing like Gabriella did.
Miguel is also fairly protective for this reason, and will teach you how to defend yourself just in case he isn’t there to protect you.
Though, he also understands his limits, and does let you have freedom. He’ll just teach you to be safe about it.
He also makes sure that you can enforce your boundaries
Miguel also brings you to the spider society so he can spend time with you
You and Lyla get into a lot of mischief at the Spider Society

WISH YOU WERE SOBER - MIGUEL O’HARA
Tumblr media
Pairing: Platonic Miguel x Young Reader (father/daughter dynamic)
Word Count: 2,651
Summary: (Request) hi!! i have a platonic req for miguel x chaotic teen reader who has a bad relationship with her dad, just a man who lost his daughter and a girl who never had a proper father.. what could go wrong..(im a slut for found family)
Getting bit by a spider is less than ideal to begin with. But when you were bitten by a highly experimental spider that came from the labs your dad worked at, it was arguably worse. And then, when said spider bite results in you sticking to walls and being able to shoot webs from your wrists, it all becomes terrifying.
——————————
“Dad… Something’s not right.” You try to tell him while your notebook is stuck to your open hand. You shake it, only to hear the crumple and flap of papers hitting together. “Please.”
“Mhmm, mhmm.” He nods with his back to you, refusing to turn in his desk chair. “Yes, go ahead, kiddo.”
“Dad?”
“It’s fine, Y/N. Go wherever.”
“I’m not… I’m scared! Please!”
“Enough.” He says firmly, a hand hits the desk and you hear the slosh of liquid in a glass bottle. “Go.”
“You’re drinking?”
“It’s not your business. Go.”
——————————
A few years later and nothing changed. He hadn’t even noticed that you were never home at night. Your bruises and bloody lips never got acknowledged. Winces and groans as you walked around were unheard. He had constantly drank himself into stupors, rivaling the depth of a coma at one point.
Your heart constantly ached for the relationship you two had when you were younger, before your mother left. Her treatment stopped helping and she died in the hospital, a place you and your father could never go back to. After that, he told you he’d rather drive to Jersey for a hospital than ever walk back into Metro General.
As your relationship crumbled, so did your faith in people. If your father, the man who you owed half your genetics to and the man who raised you, couldn’t put his own child’s needs ahead of his own despair, how could anyone truly love one unconditionally?
“Hey!” A familiar voice called behind you as you were sitting on your rooftop. “It’s my favorite spider kid!”
It was your father’s birthday and - of course, he was passed out in a puddle of whiskey in the kitchen. You had turned him on his side and propped him against the cabinet to ensure he didn’t choke on his own vomit before you suited up and just… sat. Chin resting on knees pulled up to your chest, arms wrapped around and fingers locked together. Mask pushed up to your hairline as the cold night breeze blew through. You were too absorbed in your thoughts to realize your spider sense had been going off.
“Peter B.” You smiled quickly as you turned and saw the bright orange of the portal. “Shit. Did I miss an assignment?” You turned your wrist and saw nothing on your watch screen.
“No… Just knew what day it was.”
“Oh..”
“C’mon. Let’s get out of here.”
You hummed slightly and let him pull you to your feet. Mayday offered you a grabby hand gesture that made you smile and she took that as approval so she shot a web to your chest and pulled herself into your arms. You laughed as you followed Peter, his daughter in your arms and babbling nonsense.
You two walked into the familiar HQ building, greeting various spider people on the way before Hobie and Pav replaced him. You huffed a sigh when you realized that it wasn’t just a coincidence that the entirety of your gang was taking turns walking with you.
They were keeping an eye on you.
You slipped away during Pav’s dramatic retelling of his latest date with Gayatri. He was gesturing wildly with his arms when you sidestepped and dropped down a few levels, catching yourself on the ledge and pulling yourself to sit underneath. After a few moments of sitting alone, you headed to the training center.
It didn’t take long for Hobie to find you there.
“I don’t need a babysitter.” You snapped.
“Right..” He nodded carefully, moving behind the heavy bag you were lightly punching. He held it in place and leaned around it to offer you a questioning expression. “That’s why you bailed on Pav, eh? Y’know he was crushed.”
“I’ll apologize later. Just leave it alone, Hob.”
“Squashed.” He shrugged and leaned away. He gave the bag a small shake and tapped it, telling you to keep hitting it. “But I gotta say, Y/N/N, it’s not hard to see you’re angry.”
“Oh I wonder why.” You said sarcastically as your fists began to make contact again.”
“If it’s about your pops, maybe you should-“
“I should what? Talk to him? You can’t talk to a man two thirds in on a bottle of whiskey. Help him? Like he helped me when my mom died, right? Because that’s what we do, right?”
Every sentence led to your fists hitting harder and harder, more direct contact that stung the skin.
“He doesn’t care about me. He abandoned me when I needed him… He’s probably a canon event for me anyway so the sooner he’s gone the better.”
“You don’t wanna be alone, Y/N.” Hobie offered gently.
Though the gentle tone only scraped your nerves and your fist went through the leather of the punching bag with enough force to push Hobie back.
“Says a lot about the person I’m becoming.” You shrugged and pulled your hand out.
The sand inside began spilling out and you sighed when the faint glow of the familiar AI appeared in front of you.
“Hello, Lyla.” You grumbled and kicked at the growing sand pile.
“Heart rate elevated. Adrenaline and cortisol are spiking and you busted a punching bag… I’m getting Miguel.” She said simply.
“Don’t get Miguel.” You groaned.
“I’m getting Miguel.”
“Lyla!”
“He’s expecting you.”
“Why would you-“
“Because you need to-“
“Why is everyone telling me what I need?” You shouted, throwing an arm to the side which swatted through the projection.
She appeared again at your shoulder with glasses disheveled.
“Case and point.” She nodded. “Go and talk to him. Now.”
“I hate it here sometimes.” You muttered and dropped to the floor, back to the door while you drew with a finger in the still growing sand pile.
As annoying as it could be at HQ, anything was better than home.
You were in the process of drawing your spider logo when you saw his looming shadow. You ignored him up until he sat next to you and you pulled your knees to your chest.
“She’s gonna come back.” Peter said gently and you felt Mayday’s hand patting your arm to a beat only she understood. “C’mon, kid. Say something.”
“Nothing to say.” You grumbled and shot webs at the ceiling so you could get away from the conversation attempt.
You slowly made your way to Miguel’s workspace. Your watch beeped as you went, probably messages from Lyla telling you to move your ass or one of your friends trying to check on you. You ignored the sounds and kept walking along the ceiling, hardly registering the directional change when you started walking on his wall.
“Siéntete.” He said simply as he pointed to the chair beside him without facing you.
“How’d you know it was me?” You asked simply.
“I’ve been tracking your watch. Sit.”
“I’m fine here, thanks.”
“I wasn’t asking, Y/N.”
“I don’t want to-“
Your complaint was cut short by the bright red webbing that looped around your torso. You cursed quietly as he yanked you to the platform and pushed you into the seat.
“Wasn’t so hard.” He smirked before he crossed his arms and leaned against the table behind him. “What’s going on with you?”
“Nothing.” You huffed.
“You put a hole in the heaviest bag today and you swatted through Lyla.”
“It’s not a big deal.”
“Mhmm, right.” He nodded absently before sliding a video clip to present between you two. “So what’s this?”
…so the sooner he’s gone, the better.
“I’m just angry.” You shrugged. “What does it matter?”
“Hmm. And this?” He slid a secondary video underneath.
It was you, rolling your dad over and placing two bottles of water by his head. You picked up the tipped cup and cleaned up the spilled liquor. You tucked a small folded note under the bottles, stating a quick and simple happy birthday with a quick heart.
“You’ve been watching me?”
“Someone was worried about you. I had a quick survey done of you in your universe.”
“Who was worried? Peter B? Is that why he showed up for me earlier?”
“Pavitr.” He corrected. “And you walked away from his date night story.”
“I didn’t-“ You groaned and threw your head back. “It had nothing to do with him!”
“It felt very personal to him.”
“Look, whatever kind of intervention this is, I don’t need it or want it. Forgive me for having my mother’s kind heart.”
“Okay.”
The webbing around your torso disappeared and he cleared the video clips away. You frowned slightly when he gestured for you to go.
“That’s it?” Your brows furrowed and you kept the disappointment out of your voice.
“That’s it.” He shrugged. “You won’t listen to anyone trying to help and I can see exactly what’s going on and what you need. But what do I know, hmm?”
“Right… I’m just gonna..” You stood slowly and moved to the edge of the platform, freezing at his next sentence.
“When I was with Gabriella…” He said softly, so kindly you almost didn’t hear it.
But the mention of her name froze you in your tracks. He hardly ever talked about his daughter. Why would he tell you anything about such a sensitive subject? You figured you should listen.
“I made sure to know everything I could about her.. That’s what dads do, right? I knew what she liked and what she didn’t. I learned her friends’ names and faces. I even learned how to make these silly little paper origami animals…”
“Why are you telling me this?” You asked weakly. You almost felt awkward hearing such a sweet sentiment coming from your usually angry boss.
“Because it’s part of what you’re missing..”
That sentence made you turn to face him.
“You want a male authority figure that can tell you he knows that you like cheerios for breakfast, but if you don’t have any, you’ll toast half a bagel and put peanut butter.. Sometimes you’ll get a green apple with it.. You want to hear someone acknowledge that you get caffeine headaches but can’t drink more than a Cola in a day. The one time you tried an energy drink, your senses kicked up to a forty and you could hear colors for four hours.
“You used to play sports before you got bit but after, the contact from the ball irritated your skin so bad you had to quit. You told your team that you had developed a health condition and overworking your kidneys could kill you.
“The logo of your suit is the vague shape of the spider that bit you, which was a common California house spider. Usually they’re not a problem but thanks to Oscorp, it was a lot more aggressive than it should’ve been…. You use clips in your hair because a hair tie makes it too tight. And you sharpie’d those words on the inside of your sleeve because you couldn’t stop thinking of them when you made your suit.”
“I don’t like cheerios.” You said quietly.
“I’m sorry.” He rolled his eyes with a small smile. “Honey nut cheerios.”
“And I didn’t just quit because of that..”
“Cause you got a job.” Miguel continued. “Under the table, cash only, for a graveyard shift at an all night diner.”
“Did you know my brother and sister moved out? My younger brother moved in with either his girlfriend or his friends because he couldn’t be around my dad. And my older sister, I don’t even know where she is… They might not even be in New York anymore. But I still make sure they don’t have to get the call to ID my father’s body.”
“But you want him dead to pass your canon?”
“Well yeah, I…” You sighed and threw your hands to the side. “No.. I don’t know. It’s not easy to live in that apartment anymore.”
“I know… But you’re still here. You still have your suit and your abilities and you help people.”
“Couldn’t help my mom.” You shrugged. “Couldn’t help my siblings. Can’t help my dad… What kind of a spider person am I if I can’t even help the people I care about most?”
“Makes you human.”
“Why do you know all that anyway?” You asked instead, allowing his gentle tone soften some of the sharpness in your chest. “What does my story matter in the whole arachno-whatever?”
“Every spider’s story matters here.”
You hummed in acknowledgment and swallowed the taste of disappointment on your tongue.
“Aren’t people like.. predisposed to addiction based on genetics?” You changed the subject.
“Sometimes, why?”
“So I'll end up like him, most likely.”
“Y/N..”
“Can you fix it?”
“What?” His eyes went wide.
“You’re a geneticist, right? You can run my genes and figure out where the problem is. You can fix it.”
“It doesn’t work like that.”
“Or.. him. You can fix my dad!”
“No, I can’t.”
“Why not?” You groaned.
“Because he’ll be dead by the end of the night!” He snapped and you felt your body run cold while regret crossed his features.
“What?” You spoke, barely above a whisper. “What do you- How- How do you know?”
He sighed to himself and rubbed his temple before he spoke slowly, putting extra caution into his word selection.
“When you told Hobie about it tonight, I had Lyla run the algorithm for your canon… His liver has been on the brink for a couple days and it looks like tonight’s the night it finally gives out.”
“Can I save him?” You asked tightly, eyes locked to the floor as the tears burned behind your eyes. “If I go home now and call the ambulance, can I?”
“You tell me how great the ambulance response in your neighborhood is.” He deadpanned and you sighed heavily, knowing he was right.
“I still wanna go home.”
“You shouldn’t be alone.”
“He shouldn’t die alone.”
“You can’t change it… I’m sorry.”
“Why are you so invested?” You looked up at him with a newfound anger burning behind your eyes, ignoring the tears falling down your cheeks. “What the hell does my life matter to you?”
“Because..” He sighed before he knelt in front of you. “I see so much of Gabriella in you, arañita.. And I can see you’re hurting.”
Your bottom lip quivered and the tears welled in your eyes. You hadn’t even realized that you wanted someone to notice things like your pain. You just wanted someone to pay attention to you and not feel like you were a background character in your own home, to feel like you were alone in the one place you were supposed to be safest.
“I’m just-“ You began, though your voice broke. “I’m so sick and tired of feeling sick and tired.”
“I know, mija.” He nodded. “But remember this.”
He turned your forearm so you’d see the words in your own sloppy, tiny handwriting.
“Keep your head up and don’t lose twice.” He read the words before he put hands on your shoulders. “You’re so strong, Y/N.”
“I’ll end up like him.” You said bitterly but your immediate sniffle iced any venom in your tone. “I’ll end up a pathetic loser that passes out in the kitchen… I’ll abandon the people that need me when they need me the most. I-“
He shook his head and pulled you in for a tight hug, cutting off what would’ve been the most self-degrading sentence you could’ve mustered.
“I won’t let that happen, mija.”

Venom
Pairings: father Miguel O’Hara x gn!teen!venom!reader, Venom x teen!reader
Imagine: what it would be like to be Miguel’s son and a spider-man along with venom, spider-venom? Idk guys
Warnings: mention of death, mention of parent death, mention of injuries, father Miguel O’Hara, idk what else, not proofread
A/N keep in mind the first part of this is before Gabriella died. Second I am aware that Miguel has a son somewhere out there in the comics, third don’t mind me referencing Moon Knight in some parts, lastly this is actually based on one of my ocs, but I made this fic x reader instead :)
Side note: I did imagine reader to be male (like my oc is) but I made it gn!reader so that everyone can read it
Tumblr media
You lived on earth-TRN1042 (is that the name, it was when I searched it up, might be wrong tho), with you father Miguel O’Hara and your sister Gabriella O’Hara
Your canon event as tragic as it is was to watch as your father died — which would eventually lead you to become Spider-Man
You’d been bitten a few days prior and was still adjusting to the whole power thing
But we are getting ahead of ourselves, Here’s the thing Miguel (earth-928) lost his family on his earth and when he found out a way to go into other earths he found your earth. The one where he still had a happy family
His original plan was to just watch from afar, but when your father died, Miguel made the rash decision to take your fathers place, which didn’t go as smoothly as he thought, after all you had watched your father die
At first you thought you were going crazy when you first saw Miguel, apparently he’d been with your sister all day. You didn’t trust him one but, you knew for a fact your father was dead so when you saw him playing with Gabriella and her dolls you were in shock, you’d told Gabriella to go to her room, once she did the interrogation started, you’d felt your father take his last breath so you sure as hell would find out who this imposter was.
“Who are you?”
“I’m your father”
“No, no, no, no, I watched my father die, who are you?”
Miguel knew you wouldn’t stop your interrogation until you knew what was going on, this led to him giving you a long explanation about different earths, his family and everything in between, how he got his powers and literally his whole life story, only to ensure that you would let him stay, he wouldn’t stay against your wishes
You let him stay, not only because you knew what loss felt like, but you hadn’t told Gabriella yet and you didn’t know how you could tell her that her actual father was dead, and it would prove to be good to have an adult raise your little sister with you, so you let Miguel stay, eventually you saw him as your father too, Gabrielle being none the wiser when it came to her fathers true identity.
The first time you called Miguel “dad” or something alike, he was overjoyed
Miguel didn’t really enjoy you going out to beat bad guys up but he never told you not to, he knew why you did it so he never stopped you, and he used to do it so it would be kinda hypocritical of him to force you to stop, instead he’d be at home, and every time you snuck in through your window you could find Miguel in the living room ready to patch you up, telling you of every time for being reckless and getting hurt so many times
Don’t be offended when he calls you an “reckless idiot” (he’d probably say it in Spanish though) when you get home nearly half dead (Miguel might of overreacted a bit)
It was around this time when you started to get memory gaps from time to time, some fights you didn’t even remember how you defeated the enemy, and some days you woke up in an alleyway, (kinda like Steven in episode one of moon knight)
Before it all went to shit I’d like to think that Miguel gave up on the spider-man part of him and was just a single dad with his two kids working a boring job — not at Alcehmax, he won’t do that mistake again
You all lived rather peacefully for the most part, you’d help Gabriella get better at football/soccer, going to an ice cream shop every time after one of Gabriella’s matches, loss or win didn’t matter there was always ice cream after a match.
And then in a single day it all got taken away from you, in just a couple of minutes all you had ever known was gone
Your whole earth started to disappear along with the people in it, you’d been out on your daily spider-man patrols when it happened, you saw your father/Miguel running with Gabriella and so instead of trying to stop whatever was happening — or more like knowing you couldn’t stop it as you had no clue what it was — you went into the direction of your family.
And when your sister disappeared you didn’t know what to do anymore, Miguel at least able to think somewhat took your hand and soon enough you were on earth-928, and from a screen you watched as your dimension disappeared into nothingness
This left many questions and problems but the question you were mostly focused on was the fact that you hadn’t disappeared
Turns out the spider that bit you had bonded (idk if this works but it does now) with a symbiote — Venom — who was from another earth, and when the spider bit you, you’d not only gained spider-powers but Venom transferred over to you and the two of you bonded, this changed your DNA and caused you to be able to coexist on your own earth along with the earth that Venom was from (does this make sense ain’t got a single clue)
Turns out Venom hadn’t made an appearance (to your knowledge and Miguel’s) because he protected you whenever you couldn’t yourself, and all those memory gaps that you had was the times that Venom had taken over (you know kinda like Jake with Steven and Marc in Moon Knight)
Fast forward a bit and you’d joined the spider-society
You had learned to coexist with Venom, it took some time but it worked out in the end, at first people would think you were crazy as you yelled at nothing (except for you you were talking to Venom who was speaking inside your mind), a lot of spider-people stayed away from you not wanting to be near Venom as he is supposed to be a villain, but when they realized you were one of the good guys they stopped avoiding you and Venom
Venom would deny it to his grave but he is extremely protective over you, if anyone hurt you he wouldn’t hesitate to hurt/kill/eat them
Miguel also became way more protective, after he lost Gabriella he only had you left and he would only send you out on the easy missions — that is until you snuck out on one of their worsts missions and got hurt because no one else new you were there — cue Miguel letting you go on dangerous missions so that you wouldn’t sneak out again and possibly die, at leas if he knew where you were he could make sure you didn’t die.
Not only did Miguel become more grumpy and strict with all the rules, you also become a lot more grumpy as you grieved your sister, and friends
And then all the shit with Miles happened but that’s for part 2,3 (part 2 siding with Miles, part 3 siding with Miguel idk which will come out first)

Soft!father figure!Miguel o'hara with a spidey!reader who hates him (hcs)
(Miguel o'hara x spidey!reader platonic)
(Miguel o'hara x teen!reader platonic)
A/n:this is gonna be ooc as hell, I have no idea what I'm doing, I lost my writings skills over 2 years ago because of writers block and it took away my skills ;-;
At first, he wonders if he did or said anything wrong, maybe he accidentally mentioned a Canon event that you went through and it upset you? Maybe he accidentally insulted you without realising? Were there perhaps bad rumors of him?? He thinks of every possibility.
He tries so hard to be a good father figure to you, he KNOWS you aren't Gabriella and never will be, but he sees you as another child he never had, what could've been the older/younger sibling to Gabriella.
He tries to brush off your hate at first, especially when you first meet, after all, he is quite intimidating (the guy is 6'9.) So he understands how you can be cautious of him.
However after a while, he starts to think if he's the problem, he's not good with communication, but he tries to still be a good father figure.
He brings you packed lunch, he makes sure you go on the easy missions (not too easy because he trusts you), he'll even make you nice little resting spot on his platform/office/desk thingy, he checks up on you, if there's anything you want from your universe or another universe he'll go and get it for you or have Jessica accompany you.
But even after all that, and you still hate him, he's gonna be very emotionally hurt, he doesn't know what he did wrong, he knows his...morals (*cough* beef with a 15 year old miles *cough*) are questionable, but he tries to fix your relationship.
At one point, he wondered if there was a language barrier, so he tried to learn your universe's slang and termology.
It did not go well.
He tries to make bonding experiences at some point (recommended by Peter b), such as, movies, ice cream, the park, jsut sitting on his platform doing your own things but appreciating the others presence even if you aren't talking (this one is for my introverts), he tries to introduce you to other spideys, tries having nice conversations with you.
And after everything, Finally, he tries to talk things out.
"....have I offended you?"
"You don't seem to like me that much...."
".....do you wanna go out?..."
^ quotes by him, trying his best to communicate. (The guy is emotionally constipated.)
Now, there are alot ways of doing this, one, you communicate back on why you hate him (whatever that/those reasons may be), or you don't, which the cycle then repeats of him trying his best and somewhat failing, or even a 3rd option, you communicate and actually stop hating him (unlikely probably since you're reading this)
Hate route (you explain why you hate him and continue hating him):
He is absolutely heartbroken, now that he hears your reasoning, he can't help but somewhat blame himself no matter what it is. (Maybe it's because he chased miles on all fours and didn't let him save his dad, or because of how he literally LEFT his original universe for a better one and abandoned everyone he knew, or maybe cause his personality is just sht, or a variant of him was mean to you, there's alot of possibilities.)
He honestly is a little bit speechless, as he doesn't really know what to do now.
He still tries to be a good father figure (still does everything stated above, the bonding experiences, introducing you to other spideys, getting you packed lunch, etc.)
He starts to put you on longer and longer missions, not because he doesn't wanna see you but because he thinks you need time away from him since you...you know, hate him.
He still brings you packed lunch, puts you on easy missions, makes Jessica get whatever you want from your original universe or any other universe, he's jsut alot more....quiet and sad now while he does it.
He goes out alot on missions now, and blows out alot of his anger and sadness towards himself on some poor innocent anomalies.
He spars alot more, just wanting to find a way to get all this pain outta his system.
He doesn't talk to you that much afterwards, which honestly, is probably heaven for you so have fun bestie! :D (I love miguel slander but I also really love miguel)
"Hey.....I made you (favourite food)"
Hateful Forgiveness route (you communicate why you hate him and stop hating him):
Okay, he's alot more relieved now, especially if it's something he cna fix, if not, that's okay.
After a lot of pestering by Peter and probably Jessica too, he decided to go to family therapy with you.
It's not the best solution, but therapy is therapy, and you can't blame him for trying.
You know that spiderman therapist we see in the movie? Yea, miguel goes to him.
If you don't wanna go to family therapy with him, he'll try and bribe you with food, any food and all food, especially your favorite/and or comfort food.
Once family therapy is over, he'll be...well, alot better, actually.
He's not as emotionally constipated, he's getting better at communicating, and is overall....less angry? Yea, it's honestly a bit weird seeing him try and become better, even if it's for you.
He does get a bit more tired and at peace, he's not as rude or stoic but still very stoic, although there is a clear improvement.
He tries to fix whatever he did to make you hate him, (Maybe it's because he chased miles on all fours and didn't let him save his dad, or because of how he literally LEFT his original universe for a better one and abandoned everyone he knew, or maybe cause his personality is just sht, or a variant of him was mean to you.)
He buys you gifts (man is a billionaire, a MULTI BILLIONAIRE, you're probably really dumb if you think he isn't spoiling the hell outta his kid/hj)
Alot of gifts, as a sort of compensation for whatever happened that made you hate him
Absolutely loves and somewhat abuses the fact you no longer hate him. He's just so happy his kid finally doesn't hate him.
"I bought you this... .....just so you know I'm very proud of you."
-------
Alright, well. Have fun with all those hcs and if you're upset about it being too ooc, we'll, I did warn you in the beginning so you can't sue me! :D

Hey uhh, you can ignore this if you want to. I saw some of your posts and uhh I got kinda happy, father figure Miguel has my heart.
And I was wondering, how would Miguel react to the readers first father's day without a father? Like, I can see so many cute scenarios. I know it's late already and you probably will only see this tomorrow when father's day will be over already.
Again, don't feel forced or anything, take some rest, eat and drink water<3

Miss Him So Much | Miguel O’Hara x Young Teen Spider Reader (Platonic)
Tumblr media
Warnings- a tad bit angst kinda
Summary- Your First Father’s Day without your father
Side note- Again I’m sorry for not posting it’s cuz schools startin and I’m like busy gettin stuff for it 😭🤍 (plus I’m literally writing this at 3am when I’m supposed to be up at 8 for orientation tmr LMAO) NOT PROOF READDDDD. SRRY IF ITS SHORT IM RUNNING ON NO HOURS OF SLEEPPP
Miguel watched in silence as you mourned the death of your father. He understood your pain and grief well, having experienced the same loss himself.
Despite his naturally stern exterior, there was a soft spot in his heart for you, a girl who had become the ‘daughter’ he never got to see grow up.
He had practically raised you, taking you under his wing, and teaching you everything he knew, and seeing you suffering in your father’s absence made his heartache. He saw her sadness and wanted to comfort her, but didn't quite know how.
So he stood by, unsure of what to say or do, but offering what little comfort he could in the form of a silent, supportive presence.
"This first father's day without a father hurts more than I imagined," you whispered as tears streamed down your cheeks. "I miss him so much."
Miguel approached you slowly, unsure of what to say or do.
"I know," he said softly, placing a hand on your shoulder.
Miguel was a man of few words, but he knew how to show empathy and support when needed. His presence was enough to let you know that you weren’t alone in your grief, that he was there for you, no matter how dark things might seem at that moment.
As you cried, Miguel simply stood by, offering his silent support and sympathy.

Being Miguel’s legitimate daughter that he left behind and hosting Venom [FEM]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Platonic Drabble]
c/w: cringe writing, angst
[Unedited]
“How dare he?”
You ignored the symbiote raging in your head as you watched your father Miguel finish the battle with the Green Goblin variant. Binding him with glowing red organic webs and aligning him up and over his shoulder.
“How dare he return here?!”
“Venom,” you trailed exasperated. Obviously you weren’t happy at all to Miguel either but he hadn’t even seen you yet so what does it matter? Originally you and Venom had fully intended to take down Goblin and inform Peter B. Parker there was a variant in your dimension. (Don’t ask how you know him).
But then Miguel showed up instead, and honestly you should’ve expected that he would because he was the one who led the spider society. And he was among the first to know of any anomalies or unusual readings in any dimension.
And only Jessica and Lyla were a witness to the internal conflict inside him at the prospect of going to his daughter’s dimension. The daughter he abandoned in favor of a different one, a different daughter, a different universe… a different life.
He was absolutely certain that you hated him and you did, you held such bitterly angry and maliciously hateful feelings for him for such a long time. When you were young all you felt was confusion for his disappearance, but as you grew older and as time passed those feelings turned from rage at his betrayal… to utter heartbreak and despair at his departure.
For the longest time you’d believed that you’d done something wrong, because what had tog done that was so bad? What had you done that was so wrong? You didn’t mean to.. whatever it was you didn’t mean to.
Eventually you had come to learn that this was not a fault of yours, but of Miguel’s. You didn’t do a damn thing wrong, and you didn’t deserve this. Nobody did.
So you grew in the suffocatingly isolating darkness that was hate and grief. And as time passed you built walls thick and tall surrounding yourself, barbed defenses to protect your broken and vulnerable pieces. Behind those steeled doors you also tucked away the last part of your inner child, to keep her safe and protected.. from ever feeling this abandonment again.
When you were fourteen you’d found Venom, and at the time you had been living on the streets for close to two years. At fourteen is when you had very nearly quit on life, being alive was pain.. constant hurt that was very close to swallowing you whole.
Venom had stopped you, not because they had talked you out of it but more so because you were intrigued by the way they had glided across the ground. Even more so interested by the way the deep onyx goop slid up your hand before sinking into your body.
And you’ve been together ever since, the constant babble of the alien grated your nerves slightly but other than that you’d grown to love having them attached to you. And you wouldn’t change it for anything—
“[Y/Name]?”
You froze, previously having turned away from the scene of Miguel opening a glowing golden portal on the street below your perch to make a swift exit. But his voice had stopped you, and you’re not sure why you had even bothered to halt in your tracks.
“Wonderful,” you spat with toxin, “you remember my name.”
Miguel shouldn’t have been taken aback by your response, and he shouldn’t have been thrown off by your bite. He didn’t deserve to feel confused as to why you had responded to him so aggressively— because he knew why you had.
“Of course I do, I gave it to you.”
“Right,” you replied boredly before you were moving forward intent to leave the conversation there.
“[Y/Name]!” He called, and again you shouldn’t have given him even a second of your time but your broken and guarded heart longing for answers seemed to work your feet for you.
“[Y/Name], keep moving. Or I will. He does not deserve your time. He does not deserve you.”
“Did you ever wonder if I had even survived after you left? Did it ever cross your mind even once if I was still alive?”
“I checked on you regularly.”
“I see, the technology to travel through the multiverse also grants you the ability to peer into the lives of people you have ruined.”
You still hadn’t turned around, refusing to give him any sort of indication that you had actually cared about whatever it was he had to say.
“Look, I-I know that I’ve screwed up. I know that I hurt you—”
“Hurt me?” You chuckled humorlessly, a hitch of pain in your throat and fire on your tongue. “Hurt. Me? You may have before.. but you’ll never hurt me again.”
Venom had come through on the last word, enunciating the end of the sentence with a snarl. Ferocious and purely built from the pure emotional pain they could feel coming from their host.
Miguel subtly flinched at the deep growl in your tone, not enough for you to see but enough of a twitch that your heightened senses had picked up on it.
And you chose that moment to make your escape, stepping forward and utilizing Venom to vanish within the pitch black abyss of the shadows. The added darkness provided by the night sky and waning pale moonlight casting deeper shadows aiding Venom in helping you disappear entirely.
“[Y/Name] wait!—” Miguel reached out expecting to touch flesh but was met with nothing.
He stepped back, looked left then right then both directions once more before he exhaled tiredly and leapt back down to the road below. He lifted the Goblin and threw him in before jumping in himself, the portal closing behind him leaving the desolate street in utter darkness once again.
You had watched, this time from the gargoyle statue attached to the side of the roof’s lip on the building above. Venom formed off your shoulder, their head with white eyes and a mouthful of razor sharp teeth complimented well by the black ink of their exterior. And their head stretched off your shoulder by several tendons and tendrils still attached to your body.
You met his blank, milky white stare as he spoke.
“He will return. Whether he wishes to talk or— something more.. what will you do?”
“I made my feelings clear, if he returns. If I see him in my universe again. We. Kill. him.”
You watched as Venom’s grin grew exponentially at your sinister promise. The ominous threat on Miguel’s life exciting him after all the years of trauma and pain he had inflicted upon their host Venom wanted nothing more than to sink his teeth in and never let go.
And if granted the opportunity he would seize it with little to zero hesitation.
Every Spider-Man needs a nemesis, no emotionally richer story than having that nemesis be your own daughter.
“You are sure?”
“Absolutely.”
“You’ve grown cold. Sinister.”
“I am what he made me.”
a/n: I’m a little stoned and had this abrupt idea— 🫢 this is weak and maybe a lil’ cringe.. I know that, I’ll make it legit when I’m not baked 😐👍🏽

Miguel takes his daughter to HQ! How bad could it be?
✎ my brain is brewing with words
✎ fem reader!!
✎ send more ideas cuz my brain is in writing mode rn hehe
✎ oh miguel is also lil grumpy here bc why not
✎ ok thats all!! :p
Tumblr media
Miguel is very hesitant to bring you to HQ. He doesn’t want to have you near harm's way. Plus, there would be nothing for you to do there so what’s the point?
Though, you’re persistent and didn’t take his no for an answer.
He eventually gave in when you roped Lyla into it. He couldn’t deal with two annoyances at once. (He means it endearingly)
So, he brings you to HQ—against his will
Your eyes sparkled with amazement as you took in the place. The area was huge. “This place is so cool!” You marveled. You look over to Miguel, beaming brightly. “This is awesome!” You whispered and yelled, your attention going back to the Spider-People who swung and walked by. Miguel shook his head in amusement, a smile pulling to his lips. As you continued to wander off, he noticed you were walking a little close to the edge. “Cuidado!” His webs shoot around your waist as you near the edge. He pulls you into his chest, letting out a relieved sigh. “You have to be careful when you’re walking around here.” He’s following you like a hawk after that.
Since it’s your first time there, everyone jumps to the assumption that you’re another Spider-Woman who Miguel or Jess recruited.
Miguel is quick to squander those ideas. He informs them that you’re his daughter and he’s showing you the place.
They all have to take a moment. They’re all like, “What? Miguel has a daughter?”
When they ask why he never told them, he responds by saying; “You never asked.”
“That’s your daughter?” Peter B. Parker was gagged. He couldn’t comprehend the fact that Miguel had a daughter. “How come you never talked about her?!” His eyes are blown wide and his jaw is slack. Like, Miguel O’Hara has a daughter?! “I do. You just don’t listen.” He grumbled out, sending an icy glare to Peter. Miguel does talk about you, it just gets overshadowed by how much Peter talks about Mayday. “What? When!?” Peter sputters out. “All the time.” You roll your eyes at Miguel’s cold behavior. “Papi, don’t be mean.” Miguel’s pinched expression visibly softens at your words, right when Miguel is about to apologize, Peter turns over to you excitedly. “Do you want to meet my daughter?” Miguel lets out a long sigh. “Mayday would love to meet you!” Peter grins. “Speaking of the little devil, where is she?” He looks around, lips downturned into a frown. He cups his hands around his mouth. “Mayday!” Another sigh leaves Miguel’s lips. “Mayday, honey! Where are you?” Miguel takes this opportunity to grab your shoulder and walk away from Peter. Once he’s far enough, he gives you a tense smile. “Oh, there you guys are! For a second I thought you ran away from me.” Peter swings right next to Miguel, Mayday sitting comfortably in her baby carrier. The smile on Miguel’s face drops. “Anyways, meet Mayday!”
Miguel dreads the moment when you have to meet Gwen, Miles, Pav, and Hobie. They always bug him about you, wondering when he’ll bring you over.
They’ve seen him see videos of you and him on his little holograms as he worked, he isn’t secretive about you.
Plus, whenever he gets the chance to talk about you, he doesn’t hesitate to start blabbering.
So they know pretty much almost everything about you.
Blame Miguel
“Miigueel,” Gwen dragged out his name teasingly as she swung in front of you and Miguel. “Is this who we think it is!” Pavitr was brimming with excitement as he dropped right next to Gwen. “Is this Miguel’s daughter?” Hobie raised a brow as he leaned an arm on Pav’s shoulder. “About time we meet her!” Miles smiled, giving you a friendly wave. You wave back, chuckling to yourself. Miguel dragged a hand down his face as he groaned dramatically loud. “Estos son los imbéciles de los que te sigo hablando.” Miles' face dropped to an offended look. “Really?” Miles says. Hobie furrowed his brows. “What did he say?” He looked over to Miles in confusion. Pavitr shrugged. “I don’t know but I don’t think it was a good thing.”
The whole tour was a headache for Miguel. He couldn’t stay in one place without Gwen offering a new place to head to, or Hobie asking questions on how you manage to have a dad like Miguel.
Pav was adding his commentary to certain situations which drove Miguel up the wall. Miles was trying to strike up a conversation with you, trying to impress you by speaking in Spanish.
Then Peter came along and the whole thing fell into chaos
“Hold Mayday real quickly. I need to take a picture of you two!” Peter handed you Mayday and she fumbled in your hands until you managed to rest her on your side. “Picture? Can I join!” Pavitr jumped right next to you, striking a dashing smile as he struck a pose. Miles and Gwen swarmed in the photo, settling around you and posing. Gwen did a peace sign while Miles did bunny ears on Gwen. Hobie lazily smiled, body halfway into the frame. “Hobie, get your whole body in the photo!” Peter motioned Hobie to move into the frame. “I don’t wanna.” Hobie shrugged. Peter sighed and let him be, gleefully saying “Cheese!” as he snapped a few photos. “Oh, MJ is gonna love this!” Peter mumbled to himself. Mayday looked up at you, cutely babbling in her baby language. Her chubby arm grappled onto your shoulder and pulled herself up with her inhuman baby strength. “Oh! Peter, she’s climbing on me!” You watch in horror as she settles on your shoulder, only to fall back and luckily get caught by Miguel. “Oh, don’t worry. She does that.” Peter waves it off, eyes glued on the photos. “Por Dios,” Miguel murmured under his breath.
When you got home, Miguel swore to himself that he’d never bring you back over there.
You went back to HQ a day later.

my love 4 you.
dad!miguel o’hara x spider!teen!reader
Tumblr media
Miguel O’Hara was your father… He was an amazing father and person. He sacrificed so much just for you. There was never a day you found him cold or unwelcoming to you. You were always greeted with hugs, kisses along your face, and a bright face.
There was never anything you did by yourself. He was always there… Eating, your soccer tournaments, going to school, etcetera. He was always in the picture and he’d always remind you with five words and a warm embrace
“I love you, mi ángel…”
He continues to hug her. He’s always been like this to her. He has always loved and pampered and cared for her. It was never a question for him.
“I know papi, i know you do.”
“I know you know, mija. I’ve always loved you more than I had any right in this world.”
He picks her up and spins her around before giving her one big kiss on her cheek and placing her down.
“I love you, mi amor. Now let’s get some burgers, eh?”
He pulls her in and starts walking out the door.
“YES PLEASE!!”
He pulls her out of the door with him as they start walking down the sidewalk… It was like normal for them…
“So, what flavor burger do you want from Burger King or would you like a Mcchicken sandwich?”
He lets out a chuckle, but his daughter probably doesn’t catch it.
“We can get the Mcchicken from McDonald’s, eh?”
“Mcdonald’s. PLEASEEEEEEE?”
“Alright, mija…”
He lets out a deep sigh.
He then puts his arm around his daughter while they start walking down the sidewalk again.

WHEN IT CRUMBLES
Miguel O'Hara & OFC
Part 1
Summary: Miguel rescues someone who shares his pain.
cw: Angst, blood mention.
Something wasn't right. The control room signals detected an anomaly but then vanished and shut down. They were sporadic, like if they were traveling from one dimension to another and back again. Because of these contradictions, Miguel had just one option: go investigate. The dimension in question was a cold area where it always snowed and there seemed to be no variation in temperatures, giving it a sorrowful atmosphere. Miguel conducted research before setting out on the hunt for an answer. He had logged numerous violent murders throughout the city, and he was fully aware that it was an anomaly. There was no Spiderman or Spiderwoman at the time. As a result, the dimension became more vulnerable and less secure.
The chilly air is burning Miguel's face. He pulls his scarf up to his nose, unused to these temperatures. Finding a running anomaly is challenging, and it becomes even more difficult when it can easily transcend dimensions. There were few people on the streets of this freezing New York. He could see people hurrying to shield themselves from the freezing wind, which seemed to have intensified. He went faster, to where Lyla showed, trying to complete his job as soon as possible, irritated by the constant cold that ran through his body. The location directed him to a long and gloomy lane. Miguel frowned as he approached the alley from the street. But something drew his attention; suddenly, lights and sounds familiar to him appeared at the end, illuminating the alley. Miguel smirked and dashed towards the streetlights. "I got you"
When he arrived at the location of the lights, the spontaneous portal had vanished, and the creature appeared to have fled the scene. Miguel grumbled angrily and summoned Lyla to ask for more coordinates; she materialized glitcin in front of him. But a noise from behind him woke him up. Someone could simply go hide in the alley because it was cluttered with rubbish and dumpsters, and Miguel wouldn't know because of his lack of spider senses.
Alma had no idea what had occurred. After being bitten by a spider in her hand, everything seemed to come alive, with noises and feelings flowing from everywhere, her head ached, and her hands itched. Second, a large red monster appeared out of nowhere and began running towards the street, and a weird tall man appeared before her and spoke to a yellow hologram girl with amazing heart shaped glasses, which Alma now wanted too. And all the while she rummaged among the trash for something of interest to bring home. The girl crouched behind a garbage container, pulling up the hood of her hoodie and taking a long breath as she considered her next move. But she felt something, something that made her move; a need to escape ran through her entire body, and she did so, unwittingly escaping the man who was approaching her with inhuman speed.
Miguel came to a halt when he noticed the person who was hiding from him. She was a girl, perhaps around 13 years old. The girl ran afraid, but she did something unusual: she ran unusually fast for a regular girl.
The girl must have seen something.
Miguel went after her in the most harmless manner possible, but let's face it, Miguel doesn't look friendly at all. Despite the fact that the girl was quick, Miguel was more experienced and caught up with her. He gently yanked on her hood, turning her around to get a better look at her. The girl appeared grimy, as if she had gone through the trash. Her hair was white and shoulder length, and her eyes were dark as coal. The girl kicked and fought her way out.
"Hey, quit that!" Miguel scowled. In anxiety, the girl pursed her lips. She also attempted to bite his arm.
"What exactly do you want me to do, man?!? You're terrifying, and you look to be chewing on a fucking lemon the whole time!!" After attempting to bite him, she yelled at him.
"Did you really just try to bite my arm?" He said, perplexed, as he wiped the saliva from his arm. "I'm not going to hurt you, I just want to know what you saw back there"
"I can tell you everything I know with a little encouragement." She gave him a cheeky look and extended her hand, revealing her palm. When she observed her outraged expression, she finished, "Nothing is free in this world."
"I thought you were afraid of me 2 minutes ago," Miguel remarked.
"You can never pass up an opportunity, sir," the girl said dismissively.
"Pinche niña," Miguel whispered as he examined the pockets of his slacks (he had dressed casually to fit in) and found 40 bucks, a mint candy, and a kitten keychain.
Alma smiled warmly and took all of Miguel's items from his grasp. “this seems enough!” she exclaimed, her eyes twinkling at the kitty keychain.
"Are you always like this?" Please, no. "No courtesy?" She inquired, a small smile on her face.
In annoyance, Miguel rolled his eyes and touched the bridge of his nose. "Can you please tell me what you saw?" He questioned vehemently. "I really like her!" Layla spoke via his earpiece.
"Of course!" exclaimed Alma. "First, that thing appeared out of nowhere; it was so big, tall, and red, as if it had like sticky blood flowing from its body. And it was extremely, very ugly, with nothing pretty, not a single pretty thing," Alma said, running her hands up and down to explain. "And it went that way," she said, pointing, "and if you don’t mind me, I have to go."
When Miguel moved his sight to where the girl was, she had already vanished around the corner. "Who is she, Lyla?" Miguel inquired, both curiously and attentively. "nothing more and nothing less, that was the spider girl from this universe. Her name is Alma López, and she was only bitten a few minutes before you found her."
———————————————————————————
Alma ran into the brisk wind, the cold scorching her cheeks like it had so many times before. She grinned as she felt the 40 dollars in her pocket, despite being used to the cold. She dashed to the supermarket to get food, warm and tasty. Her smile did not waver as she considered returning home to show her parents and brother what she had got.
The closer she went to home, the more excited she became. Her family's home was not fancy or large; it was a tiny one-story dwelling with one room. Alma promised her parents that when she finished school and sought for an appropriate job, she would find a nicer place for them. She'd find them somewhere better, somewhere they wouldn't be cold, somewhere they'd eat enough to stop the pain of emptiness in their belly, somewhere they'd eat three times a day. A place where her mother could relax and recover from her illness, and where her father could help her worn old back. she could help her brother.
But she had no idea that her dreams would be dashed by the impending reality.
The atmosphere in New York was different, more anxious. She could sense that something horrible was going on. Her heart racing and her senses tingling, she increased her steps. She came to a halt when she saw her neighbors' houses collapse and smash into each other, collapsing to nothing and disappearing all at once. "What the fuck...?" Alma was worried and murmured. She rushed home like she'd never run before. She had to find them.
The pristine white scenery was shattered. Red droplets and stains coated the ground and created a path to her house's doors. The door opened as if it were inviting anybody in, and the rusty stench reached her nose. The bags fell to the floor and the biting stopped as soon as she entered. It was like a painting and the walls were the canvas.
“Mom? Dad?”
“It smells like spider in here” a deep and eerie voice came from the house.
bite, bites, bites.
Chewing, chewing
swallowing…
What kind of nightmare is this?
Alma took a step forward and stepped on something; when she looked down, she saw that the floors were covered with red paint. But... was that truly red paint? She hoped it was red paint.
Everything happened so quickly that there was no time to think about it. Alma noticed the sound when she first saw the red beast. Then she heard heavy and powerful footsteps, like if an animal was racing. When the ferocious animal shoved her out of the path, she fell to the ground and noticed them. It was there when she witnessed everything. Her parents unrecognizable on the floor, smeared in red paint.
Now everything unfolded gradually, as if in slow motion, her chest and breathing rose, and her heart ran miles, she could feel it racing inside her body. She felt herself breaking apart, like if she were being pulled open. Her world was crumbling. literally. But something jolted her out of her stupor. Someone was tugging at her sleeve with great desperation.
“Alma, please talk to me” Her young brother, Luka, pulled her sleeves up in anguish as he noticed what her sister witnessed.
Her eyes move fast. Her pupils dilated as her eyes enlarged. Her face was pale, and she was sweating despite the cold. She jerked awake and hastily snatched her brother into her arms, covering his eyes as she moved to get out of there.
"Don't look, don’t look. We'll be fine, we'll be fine," she repeated weakly, like a mantra.
Alma, who was on the floo-" her little brother asked, clinging to her sister in horror.
“No, they’re okay. They’re just sleeping! Yes, sleeping. Just… sleeping” She whispered shakily as she walked through the snow looking for whatever she was looking for. Something safe.
But everything appeared to be wrong, and everything was wrong. Everything appeared to vanish in cracks.
Where have all the people gone? Where has everyone gone?
"Alma" his brother groaned, "I don't feel well," his breath frozen and frigid air escaping from his lip, his words sounded bad like everything else around it, sliced up like a computer glitch. “It hurts”
She came to a halt and knelt on the ground, holding her brother in her arms. Her breath became stuck in her throat, and her desperation took control of her body. "What is going on?" What are you feeling? I promise I'll take care of you. I’m sorry, Please do not leave. "Please, Luka," she pleads as she watches her brother go away, as if he never been, her voice muffled by tears and her aching throat heard everywhere, her hands clinging to the snow underneath her. "Luka, please come back; don't leave me alone." she fell to the ground even lower, hugging her body as she cried harder and trembled.
So cold, it’s really cold
I don’t like this cold anymore
She didn't know when the cold ceased, but she felt him holding her tightly and the irregular movements of her body abruptly stopped, leaving her floating. But she was no longer cold and that was much better.
"I've got you. I've got you. You're fine and safe. I swear." He muttered gently and calmly, his words carefully rocking her.
