nadeje cafe, plaza mahkota, melaka.
came here for dessert as this is the original place that made mille crepe really popular, and now they have branches all over the big cities. was planning to come on previous day but the place was so crowded and i don’t feel like queuing. good thing that the second day was much better, the cafe has limited seats, which explains the long queue outside.
we ordered premium green tea and premium dark chocolate slice, with coffee and tea to go with. these are actually quite pricey, even though the cakes are fresh and does taste good, it’s quite sweet though. they didn’t have my favorite flavor which is cafe mocha, makes me slightly sad.
if you have not try it before, it is definitely worth visiting and try the mille crepe, the original flavor is the most basic but they do have plenty of flavors to suit different preference. and there’s lots of outlets in klang valley too, so no worries if you couldn’t visit the place in melaka, as the cakes are made from central kitchen, so they taste the same everywhere.

Coconut Jelly King, 18349 Colima Rd, Rowland Heights, CA 91748
Coconut Jelly King was the first place I had coconut jelly. I’ve tried the coconut jelly from other places, including Melo Melo, and Coconut Jelly King is still my favorite because it isn’t as sweet and it has the best texture. Coconut Jelly King uses the best organic coconuts to make their jelly. The coconut jelly comes in glass jars, with flavors like blueberry, strawberry, matcha, red bean, papaya, peach gum, pineapple, kiwi, etc. They also have egg waffles, pancakes, grass jelly, mille crepes, and drinks.
Single coconut jelly ($6.99): Soft, silky – it reminds me of soft, silken tofu. It’s lightly sweetened and tastes like coconut cream. One jar is a perfect not too heavy dessert or breakfast.
Blueberry coconut jelly ($8.99): Whole blueberries in a puree on the bottom of the coconut jelly. Lightly sweetened.
Matcha coconut jelly ($7.99): Mild matcha flavor but nice – complements the coconut flavor, lightly sweetened
Coconut jelly is supposed to improve beauty and skin health and it’s full of antioxidants.
The décor is simple. I remember the space was occupied by a boba shop before and it doesn’t look that different now. Coconut Jelly King is in a strip mall. I wish they had a rewards program and took their jars back.
4.5 out of 5 stars

A Lady M Bakery moved in near me. She makes the Goth Home & Garden’s favored Goth dessert, charcoal mille crepe cake. (But only in Oct.)
