This Is Ours
This one took on a life of its own. A massive thank you for the prompt @weekend-bastard, hope this kind of fits with what you had in mind. I very much enjoyed writing it.
Anyone can send me prompts here or read my previous prompts here.
“Do you know where we left the mugs?”
Robin stood in the doorway that led from their bedroom to their living room and smiled at Nancy crouched in front of one of the still packed boxes. It was Robin’s fault that they were still packed. Nancy had been adamant about unpacking as much as possible once their couch was placed in the center of the living room. Robin had decided against it, grabbing her girlfriend and pulling her to bed.
“Robin?” Nancy’s eyes were no longer on the box. They were staring at the girl smiling like a fool in the doorway. “Mugs?”
“Oh yeah.” Robin rushed towards a box next to their front door. “Here you go.” She ripped the tape keeping it shut off and handed over one of the mugs, a bright yellow one that she didn’t remember packing.
“Thanks, babe.” Nancy pushed herself to her tiptoes to kiss Robin’s cheek.
The coffee machine was unpacked. It had never been packed. It was one of the things they hadn’t owned when they got this place. Robin bought one yesterday when they realized. It was a modern thing that cost a fortune. But Nancy had stolen cutlery from her mother and Robin had thieved some plates from Steve’s place and some throw pillows from her parents, so they could afford it.
“If you grab another one I’ll make you a cup.” Nancy shouted from the kitchen. She didn’t need to shout but as she lifted her head Robin thought she realized it herself. Realized they weren’t in Steve’s parents’ mansion where Robin had been cooped up most days. Realized they weren’t in the Wheeler’s house with its grand open rooms. “Sorry.” She mumbled and if they had been anywhere else it wouldn’t have been audible but they were in their tiny apartment and Robin could hear the word fall off her girlfriend’s lips and it was magical.
Robin did grab another mug, a white one that said dad of the year and she wondered who she took that from. Her dad? Nancy’s dad? Neither of them really deserved the title. Steve maybe?
Nancy smiled when she looked at it, a teasing remark just waiting to slip out but Robin leaned in and kissed her to push it away. It worked. Nancy put her hands around Robin’s neck and pulled her closer. The cup threatened to fall out of her grasp when Robin’s tongue slid between her lips. Nancy pulled away with an even brighter smile.
“We should probably unpack these boxes today.” Nancy had turned back toward the coffee machine.
“Should we?”
“Robin!” There was a threatening edge to her tone that lost its weight when she turned around with a soft smile and pressed the mug in Robin’s hands.
“Okay, okay. We’ll unpack.” Robin took a sip of the coffee.
“Good.” Nancy set her cup down on the counter. “Let’s get started.”
Robin groaned. “It’s too early, Nance. Can’t we just take our time?” She set her own cup down so she could wrap her arms around Nancy’s waist from behind and softly pressed her lips against her girlfriend’s neck. Nancy leaned into the touch. Robin could imagine doing this every single morning. Minus the cardboard boxes that were pushed against their walls.
“This is dangerous.”
When Robin looked up she could see Nancy had shut her eyes. “How so?”
“I won’t want to stop.”
“We don’t have to.” Robin smiled against Nancy’s skin.
“Boxes, Robin. We have to…” Her voice faded into a soft moan when Robin found just the right spot.
“What do we have to do?”
Nancy finally pushed Robin away. “We have to unpack these boxes.”
“Okay, but can we start with the one my parents’ old record player is in? Because I’m going to need some music.”
“If you can figure out which one it’s in.” Nancy turned toward the already open box that had once contained the mugs that now stood halfway abandoned behind them.
“Oh, of course.” Robin walked up to a box toward the middle of the pile, ripping off the top and pulling out the record player. She took her sweet time setting it up on their dining room table before retrieving a Fleetwood Mac record she had stolen from her mother’s collection.
“How did you know where that was?”
“We packed these.” Robin answered before opening another box. “Oh my God.”
“What?” Nancy walked to the kitchen and back, disposing of some of the plates.
“We are not hanging this up, Nancy.” Robin pulled out the framed Tom Cruise poster. “Why did you take this with you?”
“My mom told me to take everything. It’s not like I want to actually hang it up.”
“You just wanted me to find it and see the pure disgust on my face.”
“What’s wrong with Tom Cruise?”
“Counter offer, we hang up a Debbie Harry poster instead.” Robin ignored Nancy’s previous question.
“Okay.” She relented easily.
“Goodbye Tom.” Robin held the poster in her hands and with a smile on her face she discarded it.
Somehow it didn’t matter how many boxes Robin unloaded, there was always another one. They had almost gone through her entire, very limited, collection of vinyls and yet the pile still seemed as big as that morning.
“That’s it, I need food.” She put her hands up as she turned toward Nancy.
Nancy who was sitting on the couch with a glass of water. “Good idea, should we order in?”
“How long have you been sitting there?”
“Only for a minute.” Nancy laughed behind her glass. “I was gonna ask you to come sit with me but you just look too damn good carrying stuff around.”
“You are unbelievable.” Robin fell down on the couch, halfway on top of her girlfriend. “Unbelievable.” She kissed Nancy.
“Should we just-“ Another kiss. “Order pizza?” Nancy finished her sentence.
“Sounds good.”
“Maybe you should stop kissing me so I can order the pizza.”
“Don’t wanna.”
“Robin.” Nancy giggled against Robin’s lips.
“Okay.” Robin pulled back, allowing Nancy to reach for the phone. She thought back to how Steve had struggled with the wires just the day before. It had been a comical sight, his arms tangled, the receiver dangling from his hand, the exasperated expression on his face and the best part of all, Nancy’s bright laugh when she took in the sight.
Robin watched as Nancy’s lips moved while she spoke into the receiver. She imagined Nancy calling her, asking when she’d be home. She imagined replying that she was just about to leave, that she was excited to see her again.
“It should be here in 20 minutes.” Nancy stretched her legs over Robin’s lap, trapping her in place.
Robin hummed. Her hand fell on Nancy’s ankle, her thumb softly stroking the exposed skin. “Is this real?”
Nancy looked back with raised eyebrows, shocked at the question apparently. “Of course this is real.”
“It’s just that I’ve dreamed of this moment so many times that I can’t be sure.”
“Okay, that was the last one.”
The pile of boxes was reduced to a pile of cardboard. A visual representation of their belongings, of their hard work, of their future.
“Good.” Nancy sighed. “I’m all sweaty and gross.”
“Sweaty and gross, you say. Well, I’ve noticed that we have a bathtub in our tiny bathroom. Shall I run you a bath, darling?”
“That would be amazing.” She threw her head back. “I love you.” She shouted as Robin walked away.
Nancy walked into the kitchen. Their mugs from that morning discarded next to the sink, the empty pizza box resting on the counter. She closed her eyes, it would have to wait until later, until the morning. Instead she opened the cupboard she’d filled hours ago and retrieved two glasses. The bottle of wine had been a gift from her mother. An olive branch of sorts, a show of support for the decisions she didn’t entirely understand.
Nancy filled up each glass before carrying them to the bathroom. “Join me?” She asked, placing the glasses on the floor and taking her shirt off.
Robin stared for a mere second before nodding.
They stripped their clothes quickly, sinking in the hot water together. Nancy retrieved the wine, handing one glass to Robin before sinking into her girlfriend’s body. Robin’s free hand rested on Nancy’s thigh.
Nancy closed her eyes, content to wallow in this moment for as long as she was allowed to.

"Spring Break 86" *Chapter 17*
Tumblr media
Chapter 16
Chapter 18
Funny story:
This was supposed to go up two days ago, but adult life happened and I couldn't do it Saturday, and I worked all day today.
But it's here!
I heard ya'll, you do NOT Like Y/N being a villain!
Also-- IDK if anyone know who "Evil Lady" is, but it's how I picture Y/N In "Villain Era"
Tumblr media
---------------
“Y/N, What are you doing?!” Dustin yelled angrily.
Lucas trying to reach Max, who was writhing and howling in pain from her two broken limbs. One of which you had just caused.
“Oh wah wah wah,” you rolled your eyes. “Zoomer’s hurt and her little bard is distraught. You’re fucking KIDS,”
“Y/N!”
“You don’t know what love is, do you get that? Stupid idiotic god damn teenagers thinking they know what love is when clearly they don’t--”
“Yeah, you’re tellin’ me,” Eddie speaks up, making you look at him in shock.
“....Yeah, i guess so,”
“Dude what are you doing?!” Steve yelled down to him. “Don’t piss her off more!”
“Ah, Harrington,” Vecna chuckled, looking up at him. “Quite the delicious morsel you are,”
“Sorry, I don’t go for psychopathic freaks,”
“Yes I know,” he looks at you. “That’s Y/N’s department,”
“Hey!” Both you and Eddie yell in offense, then look at each other. For half a second you both want to run to each other, forget all of this and just make up. But as fleeting as the emotion was, soon it was gone.
“He means meal wise, Harrington,” You spit, knowing what Vecna’s thinking at all times now. It was like you were both in each other’s heads now, a mind meld made in hell.
“What?”
“Mmmmm yes, all that guilt,”
W-What?
“Oh don’t even pretend to act surprised, Steven,” you rolled your eyes. “So many years of being such a DICK to people, especially women,”
Steve looks down in shame, knowing exactly what you’re talking about.
“Hey! Steve!” Nancy reaches for him. “Don’t let her get in your head, okay? You’re not that guy anymore,”
“Oh right, Nancy Drew here would stick up for him, wouldn’t she?” you laughed. “Before you do that though dear you should know you weren’t the first girl he de-folowered,”
“....What?”
“Oh come on Nance,” you chuckled. “You didn’t think you were special, did you?”
Nancy looks at Steve who has an incredibly guilty look on his face.
“I bet you thought he was a virgin too, didn’t you?” you smirked.
“Well, no, but--” Nancy starts in a small voice, but stops and glares at you. “No, I’m not letting you get inside my head like that, you bitch,”
“OOOOOOOHHHHHHHH,” Vecna drags out the word in a singsong voice. “Little Nancy Wheeler, quite the potty mouth on you now, hmm? Who knew?”
“Shut up,” Nancy growls.
“Let’s talk about your guilt then, shall we?”
“Oh come on papa,” you roll your eyes. “The Barb thing has been done to death,”
“Oh, but it’s deeper than that, Y/N,” He smirks, looking at a nervous Nancy.
“Oh?” you raised a curious eyebrow while glancing at her.
“It’s really the shame of that fact that….you don’t feel guilty about Barb at all, do you Nancy?”
“W-What?” Nancy shakes her head. “Of COURSE I do!”
“Mmmm, I don’t think so, no,” Vecna chuckles. “I think you think it’s unfair that Barb had to go and get herself killed on the best night of your life,”
“OOOOOHHHH,” You mimic his voice. “Interesting,”
“No!” She waves her hands frantically. “I don’t feel like that….anymore,”
“Anymore,” you rolls your eyes with a small evil chuckle.
“Hey!” Leave her alone!” Robin yells.
“Ohhh yes,” your evil grin widens as you look at Robin. “Robin Buckley, resident lesbian of the Scooby gang,”
Everyone minus Steve and Eddie gasp; Robin’s mouth falls open.
“You said--” She says softly, tears in her eyes. “You said that was safe with you,”
“Yeah well I said a lot of things, didn’t I?” You scoff. “Like how you’re gonna find someone someday? Lie. I was just trying to be nice.
You’re never going to find someone, Robin. Y’know why? Because you’re ashamed. You think it’s some dirty secret, you have to hide.! How do you expect anyone to love you if you don’t love yourself, hmm?”
“HEY,” Steve barked at you. “That’s enough, Y/N,”
“Actually I think it was going quite well,” Vecna smirked. “I can feel the shame and guilt oozing out of all three of you now. But why stop there?”
He turns his gaze to Max and Lucas.
“Come on man,” Lucas whines. “She’s already in enough pain,”
“Yeah, that is true, papa,”
“Oh now you feel remorse, Y/N?” He gave you a look. “I do believe you were the one who just snapped her arm in two,”
“Well, yeah but--” You wavered. Vecna could see the flicker of guilt in your eyes, he had to stop this.
“Well maybe we move on to Munson, hmm?”
“What?” You turn to Eddie, who has an equally horrified look on his face.
“No,” you shook your head. “No you said--”
“I said he could live, Y/N,” He crosses his arms. “I didn’t say he wouldn’t get tortured,”
“T-Tortured?”  you whimpered.
“Oh, I misspoke,” Vecna steps towards you, putting his hands on your shoulders from behind you.
“All i meant was he should pay for what he put you through, don’t you think?”
“The pain i put HER through?!” Eddie scoffs with a laugh, flicking something in you to the ON position.
“See?” Vecna catches this flash of anger, nurturing it quickly. “He doesn’t care what he did to you, he only expects you to feel guilty for what he thinks you did,”
“What--No!” Eddie suddenly realizes whats happening. He shouldn’t have opened his mouth.
“He doesn’t care how he broke your heart that day, that day you wanted to proclaim your love to him,”
“Stop…”
“You were going to give up EVERYTHING for him. He was your entire world, didn’t you say that?”
“W-What?”
“Tell him, Y/N,” Vecna says softly in your ear. “Tell him what you told Nancy,”
As if being a machine turned on, your eyes went glassy and you repeated the monologue you had given Nancy like reciting lines in a play.
“Eddie was the same as my mother, it seemed like. You know, he went to high school a whole year before me. I was alone in that junior high for a whole year. And he had– He had been my entire world,”
“Oh God…” Eddie whispered, not wanting to hear this. Not wanting to drudge up the guilt he had for giving her up.
“So I had no choice but to…’adapt. I started getting good grades, I started joining clubs, I thought that by the time I met up with Eddie he’d be the same and we'd be together again but– By the time I was a freshman he just wasn’t…Eddie, anymore,”
“No…” he shook his head, not wanting to hear it, seeing tears drip down your stoic face.
“He had made friends with all of these stoners, who only wanted to get high and play D&D. That’s it. No ambition, no dreams. Just weed and RPG’s. And it scared the shit out of me! He was just like my mother, like– everyone else, telling me the world doesn’t give a shit about you, so why should you give a shit about it?”
Tears started streaming down your face, even though you were still in a trance-like state. It was very disconcerting to watch.
“And then, it made me try harder,” you became angry. “Now I had two people to convince: my mother, and Eddie. My mother might have been a lost cause, but I thought-- I don’t know if I– got to some point high enough, then maybe he’d– he’d…get his shit together,”
“No,” he shook his head harder, getting angry. He wasn’t sure whether it was at himself, you or Vecna, but he was fuming.
“No, that is NOT what it was supposed to do, Y/N. The whole point of ‘giving you up’ was so that you WOULDN’T have to…’take care’, of me. Why don’t you get that?!”
“But apparently, all I did was shove him deeper and deeper into the belief that he was no good, and never would be. And now he’s just given up completely!”
“THAT’S NOT YOUR FAULT, Y/N!!” He ran over and tried shaking your shoulders to ‘wake you’, but you continued your robotic speech.
“So maybe…I don’t know, maybe my mom’s right,” You finally finished, Vecna conveniently leaving out the part where you were worried about being killed by him.
Your eyes slowly returned to normal, looking Eddie in the eyes. His face was relieved, glad you were you again.
Or so he thought.
It was like something in you had been awaken from that trance, like you had been shoved down and the angry, bitter you emerged to the surface.
“You,” you shoved him off. “You did this,”
“W-What?” His face went from ecstatic to terrified once again. “NO! Princess I--”
“NO!!!!!” You bellowed, your voice emitting some sort of shock wave. It passed through Eddie like lightning, knocking him to the ground.
“You pushed me away,” angry tears started to form as you advanced towards him. “You, you became so fucking self indulgent and self involved with your stupid ass games and your weed. That’s ALL you cared about!”
“Th-That’s not true,” he whimpered, trying to get back up. “You know that’s not true--”
“I had to go through my best friend-- my entire world, just shoving me away like I was garbage, and it wasn’t even my fault!!!”
“I know, Princess,” He crawled towards you, tears dripping down his face. “I know, and I’m sorry. I didn’t think--”
“Yeah that’s your problem, Munson,” you growled. “You don’t fucking think about anyone else but yourself,”
“That’s bullshit!” Eddie yelled angrily. “Y/N I have tried dying on you, MULTIPLE times. For YOU. Shit, I just ACTUALLY died!”
“I DIDN’T ASK YOU TOO!!!!” You screamed back. “You-- you left me, AGAIN. You DIED. You-- you took yourself from me, and once again I didn’t do anything to deserve that!”
“How are you turning my act of love into some--- nefarious thing, Y/N”
“Big word for a three time senior,” You smirked.
“Bitch,” Eddie blurted out. He hadn’t mean to be so harsh, but he was pissed already and you knew how to bring out the worst in him.
“Oooooooh!!!!!” Vecna laughed evilly. “Now the big man’s showing his true colors, isn’t he-- Princess?”
“DON’T,” Eddie clenched his fists. “Don’t you fucking call her that. That is not your name for her,”
“And it’s not yours either,” You spoke up.
“W-What?” He gasped softly. “No, Princess come on--”
“DON’T fucking call me that,” you growled, getting up in his face while he was still on his knees. “You will never call me that again, do you fucking understand me?”
“NO, I don’t,” he pulled himself to his feet, grabbing your shoulders. “You are my Princess, Y/N. You always have been. Please, hear me. I know the real you is in there somewhere, and I know she knows how much I love her. How much I’ve always loved her,”
He moves both hands to your face.
“Please, baby,” he begs you, his voice trembling. “Please fight this. I can’t lose you, not again,”
“Not again,” You roll your eyes with a sad laugh, looking to the sky. “Not again?! WHO’S FAULT IS THAT?!”
“M-Mine, but--”
“I loved you, Eddie. Do you get that? I loved you so completely and with my entire being. But i was terrified to say anything because at least having you as a friend I could…’keep’ you,”
“Y/N…”
“Do you know how much courage it took for me to go to your house that day? Do you know how fucking long I stood in your driveway, just talking to myself? Trying to convince myself that if I laid it all out on the table, that it would-- somehow, bring you back to me?”
“Baby, I’m--”
“And then you YELLED AT ME!” You start to cry again. “You yelled at me, and made me feel like I did something wrong for loving you!!!!”
“I know,” he tightened the hands around your face, still crying himself. “I know, and I will never forgive myself for that, okay? But it’s over, it doesn't matter--”
“DOESN’T MATTER?!” You screamed, shoving him off of you.
All of a sudden, your eyes glossed over once again. But this time, they were black. All black, like you had completely been lost and the demon had taken over.
“Oh now I do want you to suffer, Munson,”
“Wha--- Aw shit no--” Eddie groans.
You held out one of your hands and started to clench it, causing Eddie’s throat to tighten.
“No--” Eddie whimpered, his hands immediately going to his neck, as if he could pry your invisible grip on him.
“Y/N!!!!!” Dustin yelled. “Y/N DON’T DO THIS!!!!!!!”
“Oh right,” You turned to face him. “The annoying little brother,”
“What?” Dustin gasped in horror. “No! Eddie and I are the only reason you’re like this, Y/N! Remember that?”
“How could I forget, Dusty Buns?” You chuckled evilly. “You two have caused me the most suffering,”
“Whatt-- NO!” Steve yelled from up above. “No! Leave Dustin alone! He hasn’t done anything wrong, Y/N!”
“ACTUALLY Harrington,” you turn to him. “You’re proving my point right now,”
“What?” Steve furrowed his eyebrows.
“You HAVE an older sibling, Dustin!!!” You stepped towards him. “Or did you forget that? You’re---you had the audacity to replace me with Steve “The Hair” Harrington? REALLY?!”
“I wasn’t trying to replace you, Y/N!” Dustin yelled. “But-- you were GONE. You’ve BEEN gone, even when you were here!”
“Oh now you try and guilt trip me, huh little brother?” you scoff.
“I’m not-- I’m not trying to guilt trip you, I’m just trying to get you to understand---”
“Understand WHAT, Dustin?!” You cut him off angrily. “Understand that you went through hell and back again, and you chose Steve The--”
“Can we not use the nickname, please?” Steve asked.
“...Harrington,” you growled. “You chose HIM to go to battle with? And then THIS loser?!” You gestured to Eddie who was still in your light choke hold.
“YOU WEREN’T AROUND!”
“I WOULD HAVE BEEN, DUSTIN!!!!!!” you screeched.
“Do you really think that if-- if you had said something after Will ‘supposedly’ died, that I wouldn’t have been there for you?
“I mean, maybe--”
“You didn’t trust me enough to let me! Your own FUCKING sister!!!!” Your decibels didn’t lower.
“I didn’t bring him into it, Nancy did!” Dustin gestured to Nancy.
“Y-You just…you closed off, and I let you. And then to come find out you not only opened up to this douchebag, but now you fucking WORSHIP him?!” you growled.
“I do not--” Dustin started to deny it.
“Ohhhhhhh do not even,” You wagged a finger. “Do not even try and bullshit me Dustin. I see how you look and act around him, like he’s a fucking superhero. He’s NOT, by the way. He’s a narcissistic, shallow, selfish ASSHOLE--”
“HE IS NOT!!!!!!!” Dustin was now screaming over you.
“See?” You laugh bitterly. “You run to his fucking defense. But you don’t know him like I do, do you?”
“You don’t know him like I do, Y/N!” Dustin yelled. “He’s changed!”
“Oh I’m sure,” you rolled your eyes.
Suddenly, Vecna reacts to something, as if he’s being summoned. You feel it too, but you can’t make out what it is. Vecna however, seems to recognize it immediately.
“Hmm, seems we have a visitor, Maxine,” he chuckles. “Come, don’t want to keep her waiting,”
He snaps his fingers and Max goes into her trance like state, before he turns to you.
“I can count on you to finish these peons off, right my pet?”
“Yes, papa,” You nodded sweetly.
“Good,” he snaps his fingers and he and Max disappear. As soon as they’re gone, the remaining four drop to the floor of the trailer, and Eddie’s choke hold is released.
Eddie immediately takes the opportunity to grab you by the shoulders, looking into the deep black holes where your eyes should be.
“Jesus fuck…” he mutters, tears coming to his eyes. “Y/N? Baby? Can you hear me?”
You shove him off with superhuman strength, then clench your fists. As you do, everyone in the trailer begins to choke.
“I’ve had it with all of you….” You growl, looking straight ahead into nothingness.
“NONE of you deserve happiness. NONE of you deserve to live,” You’re about to crush everyone’s windpipes with a flick of your wrist when you hear a small voice next to you.
“...I can’t fight this…feeling, any…longer,” Eddie chokes, trying desperately for you to hear him.
Your head turns, the black in your eyes has blinded your vision.
“Don’t…” you growled, hearing the others struggling to breathe.
“And yet I’m still afraid…to let it show,” He sings louder.
“STOP,” You growl harder, stepping towards where the voice is coming from.
“What started out-- as-- friendship--” He chokes, your grip on everyone’s throat tightens as you rage inside.
You can feel the true you fighting back, your eyes flash to normal, to black, to normal, to black.
“Has grown stronger--” your voice comes out softly, almost against your will. Like the true you was breaking through.
“I only wish I had the strength to let it show,”
“Baby come on--” Eddie grunts. “Fight it, fight for us,”
“And…I can’t…” You hold your head, your eyes flashing back and forth more rapidly.
“I can’t…Eddie,” You whimpered.
“You can, Y/N,” He could feel the grip on his neck loosening.
He continued to sing to you: “And even as I wander, I’m keeping you in sight,”
“You’re a--” You grunted, your knees started to shake.
“Candle in the window, on a cold dark winter’s night,” He sang back, reaching for you but you kept him far enough away from you he was having difficulty.
“And I’m getting closer than I ever thought I might…” he hopped forward, finally grabbing one of your arms.
Your eyes flicker to normal as Eddie pulls you into him, his choke hold being released. He sings the last line to you, and only the real you.
“And I can’t--”
You put a hand to his lips, wanting to sing to him back as yourself, but you felt super weak.
“...Fight this feeling anymore, You slur, as you fall to the ground unconscious. Once you do, everyone else is released from their choke hold.
“Y/N?” Eddie grabs you and sits down on the floor with your head in his lap. “Y/N? Baby?”
No response.
“Baby, come on don’t do this. Not now,” he whimpers, stroking your blank face.
“Come back to me,” he whispers.
The rest of the group is recovering, all talking to each other, checking on one another. Dustin quickly runs over to Eddie holding you.
“Eddie,” he starts to cry. “Is she…?”
“I don’t know…” Eddie started to cry himself, looking at him.
Suddenly, you began to stir in his arms.
“Baby?” Eddie shook you softly as your eyes started to flutter open.
“Eddie…?” You looked up at him, tears coming to your eyes immediately as you started to remember what happened.
“Y/N!” Dustin exclaimed happily, hugging you as you sit up. You hug him back softly, still holding Eddie’s hand.
“I’m--I’m so sorry,” You whisper to the two of them, before looking at the rest of them. “I’m sorry to all of you,”
“It’s okay baby,”  He pulled you close. “It wasn’t you,”
“It was, though,” you bit your lip looking up at him. “I mean…it was stuff I thought,”
“...Really?” Dustin asks in a hushed voice.
“REALLY?” Steve stomps over. “So you really think that shit about Robin?
“No!” You shook your head, giving Robin an apologetic look. “Not…really,”
“WOW,” Robin scoffs. “Wow,”
“Oh come on Robin, you know what i meant,” you tried to defend yourself.
“Do I?!” She yelled angrily. “I know you just fucking outed me!”
“Oh to who, Max and Lucas?” You roll your eyes.
“Y/N!” Eddie hits you.
“I’m sorry,”  you apologize to her.
“See, she’s still under his spell,” Nancy gestures towards you.
“No she’s--” Eddie stops. “Are you?”
“What?” your eyebrows furrowed.
“Still connected to Vecna,”’ Eddie said.
“I….” You closed your eyes. You could see Vecna, standing in a gym decorated for a dance. A banner read “SNOW BALL”.
“Yes,”  you nodded, eyes still closed.
“...Do you still have his power?” Nancy asked.
You looked over and clenched your fist at Steve. He started to gag, and you released quickly.
“Yup,” you shrugged.
“Jesus,” Steve muttered. “Thanks a lot,”
“Sorry,” you blushed.
“So-- theoretically, you can kill him,” Nancy pointed out.
“WHAT?” Eddie gasped.
“I mean, help eleven at least,” Robin added.
“Nah nah nah nah,” Eddie waved his hands. “They’re psychically linked. What if when Vecna dies, she dies,”
“We don’t know that will happen,” Nancy speaks up.
“Yeah, you would--” You stop yourself, you know it’s not yourself.
“See?!” She’s having none of it. “We don’t know if or when Vecna could just-- take full control of her and kill us all!”
“But what if she can help amp El’s powers? I mean, Vecna/Henry/One is a number, so they should have similar powers, right?”
“No,” Eddie stands in front of you. “No more using the girlfriend, do you hear me?”
“You better tell Vecna that,” Eddie scoffed.
“Baby they’re right,” you put your hands on his face.
“The fuck they are!!” Eddie yelled.
“Look Eddie,” You made him look at you. “I just almost killed everyone in this room, i think I need to do damage control.”
“But that wasn’t--” he starts.
“Doesn’t matter,” you stopped him.
“If I can help kill this asshole, he won’t bother ANY Of us again. And I’ll be free,” you rubbed his cheek with your thumb.
“Don’t you want that?”
“...Yes,” He put his hands over yours still on his face.
“Alright let’s do it,” You nod at the rest of them, who nod in agreement.
This would be totally easy…right?

Mirror Mirror
A/N: Again many thanks to @booglebug
Description- Soulmates existed. People knew that much. Soulmates were rare, a handful in each generation, an unexplainable phenomenon that formed a bond closer than blood and more sacred than marriage.
Bucky finds his soulmate when he needs her most. Little does he know how much she needs him too.
(Soulmate au that slots pretty much in to the MCU but with soulmates. Set after TFATWS.)
Pairing- Bucky Barnes x OFC
Warnings- Mentions of violence and guns, but its mostly fluff, drama and angst.
This is a multi chaptered fic.

Chapter 12
They woke up curled together the next morning. Their foreheads were pressed together, his left arm snaked round her wait whilst his right was tucked up supporting his head, he hummed softly playing with her loose hair. She looked into his eyes, adoration flooding through her.
“I know I have never said it, but I love you.” Nancy whispered. A smile spread across his lips and a blush rose to his cheeks.
“I thought that was because it didn’t need saying, I love you too.” He kissed her firmly on the lips. She smiled into it before rolling away and out of the bed.
“Come on sergeant, we’ve got work to do.” She ordered.
“Yes ma’am.” He answered.
They got up and ready quickly and without incident. Nancy pulled on her dress from the night before and Bucky slipped into his jacket, the left sleeve missing, flexing his vibranium arm. They made their way to the palace once more, meeting Sam at the door. They were led to the main hall where Duncan Everett was already sat bound by a brightly lit device to the floor. A force field surrounded him as well. He has wearing the same clothes as the night before minus the black coat and appeared tired and fed up. Shuri was sat casually in a chair, her legs swung over one of the arms. She smiled as they entered gesturing to some other seats that were laid out.
“Lieutenant Everett if I’m correct?” Shuri started taking the lead in the interrogation.
“I don’t go by that rank anymore.” He answered quickly with a scowl
“Well, no I suppose you wouldn’t, seeing as you’re legally dead.” Nancy snapped back.
“touché.” He smirked.
“What is it you want with Martin Cartwright?” Shuri asked firmly.
“Absolutely nothing.” He dragged his eyes away from Nancy to look directly at Shuri. She frowned in response.
“What’s all this been about then?” She stood up approaching the forcefield.
“I don’t want anything from Matin Cartwright. I’m after her.” He pointed straight at Nancy. Bucky drew himself up to stand in front of her.
“Well you can’t have her.” he shouted, anger rising inside.
“Oh, believe me it’s not like that big guy.” He shook his head laughing.
“Then what is it like?” Sam asked. Duncan looked around the room weighing up his options.
“I’m trying to smoke out a rat, just needed some decent bait.” He leered at her.
“Who, who’s the rat?” Nancy faltered.
“I think you already know that. Christopher Cartwright.” He stated confidently.
“Christopher Cartwright is dead.” Bucky snapped back
“So am I, legally.” He smiled
“So, it’s true, Kit is alive.” Nancy said standing up to step infant of Bucky.
“Most defiantly.” The prisoners voice filled with venom.
“Explain.” Sam said. All of them now on their feet. Duncan looked between them, realising he was outnumbered and alone, he told them everything.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
America had their Captain, Britain wanted their own. The super soldier serum was lost but the military took on the greater scientific minds in the country to develop their own. The hired on the brightest and best test subjects from across the Army, Navy and Air Force. Duncan Everett was one such subject. He was the brightest and best, young, fit and healthy. Three years in the British army, he held a great sense of patriotism. It was the greatest honour to be selected. It was there that he’d met Lieutenant Commander Cartwright of the Royal Navy. He led their group, always first to volunteer, always encouraging, always up for a laugh. They’d all loved him. He was the first to take the serum, he was the natural choice, Duncan was happy to wait his turn. Until Christopher betrayed them all. Destroying the test samples and running off into the night. The scientists were found dead in the morning and the programme was shut down. After that the government wanted to forget the venture and wipe the slate clean. The test subjects were placed in witness protection for their safety. A fake training exercise was enough to stage their deaths and the country was none the wiser.
Witness protection hadn’t suited him or his comrades. If bringing in the only successful recipient of the new serum could restart the programme, then that is what they’d do. It wasn’t hard to find supporters, many criminal organisations were interested in possessing an enhanced human. What moral implications could there be for Duncan, he would simply had all his benefactors over to the police once they were brought back into the military. Tracking down Christopher Cartwright had turned out to be more difficult than he predicted. He was a man of great means, Duncan suspected he could be hiding anywhere.
Then he remembered the sister. The letters Cristopher had written but never sent, always to the same woman, the picture of the girl with the long dark hair laughing next to him that he’d kept in his wallet. Nancy Cartwright, the sister he’d felt guilty for abandoning, at least that is what Duncan had managed to infer from their conversations. She was nothing special, a London socialite, daughter of a diplomat overseas. Getting close was to her proved to be more difficult, her home was too secure to think about a break in, she rarely ventured out alone and when she did it was to no readable pattern. Then came her invitation to the ballet, they’d been intercepting her communications, alone in a box with an easily compromised politician. Duncan had sent in his men, only to be foiled by two of the avengers. He’d gone in to get her himself, played his trump card to no avail, then been picked off the ground like a door mouse being hunted by a bird. Duncan then retreated to regroup in Amsterdam.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Why would Kit betray you?” Nancy said forcing back the tears in her eyes. Kit was alive, it was the only thought in her mind, her singular purpose was finding him.
“I was going to ask you that. I don’t believe he was working alone. You got any ideas who he was working with?” Duncan smirked knowingly at her.
Nancy’s heart sank in her chest, she felt like she might feint or throw up. Bucky caught her as she stumbled, she couldn’t meet his gaze though. She shook off his grip and, though it took all her remaining strength, she marched from the room.
“Think I touched a nerve?” Duncan asked the room.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nancy walked for a while before her legs sent her to the training room. She found the targets set up like they had been the day before. She breathed deeply handling the knives laid out for practice. She picked one up, testing its weight gently before launching it towards the target with a scream. It missed rebounding off the forcefield and falling to the ground. she picked up two more throwing them with the same result. She let the tears fall, felt the walls collapsing in on her. knife after knife she threw until one bounced badly on the forcefield and came flying back at to her ear. A hand shot out and grabbed it, it took Nancy a moment to realise it was her own. She stared at it in surprise, taking a deep breath she could almost hear the music in her head, she threw it back and it hit home, dead centre. Her toes curled as she found adrenalin coursing its way through her. She jumped on the spot before picking up the fallen knives. she returned to her spot, the music filling her head again as she threw the knives in quick succession, each hitting, forming a ring around the centre. She heard a clapping coming from behind her, she whipped round to find Bucky stood leaning against the door frame, his face carved from stone and unreadable.
“Bucky…”
“What’s going on Nance, what was that in there?” he walked over to her, his thumb rubbed a stray tear off her cheek. she shook her head turning away from him.
“He’s so bloody smug, like he’s proud of himself, like this is some sort of game, well it’s not, it’s my life and it’s my family, it’s my brother.” she said pulling the knives from the target, “Well you know what, no one messes with my family,” Buck nodded agreeing with her.
“What did he mean, about Kit having help, he seemed to say it for your benefit.” he asked grabbing her hand.
“Bucky don’t push this,” he let go automatically, his brow creasing.
“Nancy please, you’re shaking.” She hadn’t noticed till he told her.
“There are things I haven’t told you, about my family, people we don’t talk about, and I should have told you, but I couldn’t. I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.” She fell to the floor at his feet, he slid down to join her.
“Whatever it is, it’ll be okay, you can tell me.” Bucky insisted. She was quiet for a while, Bucky could almost hear the cogs turning in her head.
“My mother is Sokovien by birth,” she stuttered out. “Her maiden name was Zemo, her father was Petrov Zemo, her older brother was Machev Zemo and her nephew…”
“Helmut Zemo.” Bucky finished for her. Nancy looked away, nodding.
“I only met him twice, my mother didn’t agree with their criminal dalliances, so she lived a very separate life after she married. He came to England once with his mother, they stayed with us, he was older, a moody teenager at the time.” She chanced a glance at him, still he appeared unreadable.
“And the second time?” he said.
“My grandfather’s funeral.” She said finally meeting his eyes.
“And Kit, did he know him any better?” Bucky asked, encouraging her to continue.
“Not that I knew, but who else could he know who hates the very idea of super soldiers enough to kill those who made a serum?” He agreed with her there.
“Nancy,” he placed his palm against her cheek. “thank you for telling me.”
“You don’t hate me?”
“I couldn’t hate you if I tried.” he sealed his words with a kiss to her cheek. As he stood up he brough her to her feet as well. He linked their fingers together after taking the knives from her hand. “That was impressive.” he nodded towards the target. “Seems like Shuri’s theory was correct.” Nancy nodded, leaning her head against his shoulder. “We don’t choose who we’re related to Nancy.”
They left the training room together and walked together, they walked through the city in silence, Bucky’s thumb drawing patterns across her knuckles. He planted kisses on her head at seemingly random intervals. As they got to the city’s outskirt Nancy figured out where he was leading her, down to the lake again. The sun was high in the sky this time lighting up the water. Nancy’s forehead was shiny with sweat and her feet ached from the walk. Despite this she felt calmer hearing the gentle lapping of the water. They stood together breathing in the fresh air.
“I suppose I’ll have a fair bit of explaining to do when we get back.” Nancy said, breaking the silence and turning to face her soulmate. He stared at her, taking in the way the light set fire to her hair and how her eyes seemed to glow green and gold.
“You don’t have to explain anything if you don’t want to. But I think you know what we are going to have to do next.” his eyes squinted against the sun whilst his hands sat on his hips.
“Yeah, time for a family reunion.”
“You don’t have to come, me and Sam can do this ourselves, report back to you.” Bucky tried.
“No, I have to do this, I have to come with you.” Bucky knew better than to argue. He brought his arms around her looking down into her eyes.
They’d speak with Shuri later and arrange a visit to The Raft.

Tumblr media
Chapter Eleven: Over And Out
Characters: Y/N Winchester, Hopper, Joyce, Nancy, Jonathan, Dustin, Mike, Lucas, Eleven
Warnings: angst
Word count: 1.8k
Series description: Hawkins, Indiana, November 1983. The Winchesters got out of hunting and decided to settle down in a small town. The youngest of the three, Y/N, just wants to get on with her somewhat normal life and go to a good college. But that’s a little tricky when disappearances start occurring, including her friend Barbara Holland, and there’s reports of a mysterious new girl in town. Can she balance boyfriends, teen drama and monster hunting?
A/N: Thought I’d write another chapter, I can’t believe we’re quite so close to the end now. Also I’m about 7 followers away from 500 so I’m trying to think of a celebration. Anyways, enjoy xx Series Masterlist Masterlist
Story:
Hopper floors it to the Byers’s house and I have to cling on to the door handle to avoid flying into Nancy and Jonathan on the bends. Despite the whiplash I probably have from the sudden braking, I get out of the car quickly and speed walk to the front door. Joyce let’s us all in and makes a beeline for Will’s room while Nancy and I take a second to look around the living room. There are Christmas lights strung up everywhere, turned off; the sight is a little depressing really.
“Woah!”
“Yeah…” I agree with Nancy. Tearing our attention away from the premature Christmas decorations, we proceed to Will’s room to search for his walkie talkie. Apparently each of the boys has one and use them to keep in touch all the time.
“I got it!” Joyce exclaims from under the bed, shuffling out and handing it to Nancy. It looks a lot like the kind Sam, Dean and I used on hunts from time to time.
“Mike… Mike it’s me, Nancy… Mike!” She speaks into the device and we all wait in silence for a response. Nothing. Well, nothing but static anyways. “Mike… you there? We need you to pick up. This is an emergency Mike, do you copy? Mike, do you copy?!” Still nothing.
“Maybe they didn’t take one with them.” I offer, not wanting to give up just yet.
“We need an answer. We need to know that you’re there Mike!” Nance just finished her sentence before Hopper takes the radio for himself.
“Listen kid, this is the chief. If you’re there, pick up! We know you’re in trouble and we know about the girl. We can help you, we can protect you, but you gotta pick up! Are you there? Do you copy? Over.” when there’s still no response, he puts down the talkie and turns to us with a sigh. We all feel a bit down; we really thought this would work. “Anybody got any other ideas?”
“Maybe they just don’t want to-”
“Yes, I copy. It’s Mike, I’m here. We’re here.” Mike’s crackling voice cuts me off. Thank God they’re ok!
They tell us where they are so we can come and get them: the old scrap heap at the edge of town inside the school bus. Hopper, being the all-guns-blazing maverick that he is, declares that he’s going alone and we shouldn’t follow him or send help. What an idiot. If by some miracle he makes it to the scrap yard undetected, he has to make it past all of the lab agents with the kids in the car. I’ve fought against people before. Well, they were possessed at the time but agents, demons, same thing.
“I’m coming with you.” I state, hopping into the front passenger seat while the chief sits with a bemused expression.
“No you’re not. Get back inside.”
“Yes, I am. After everything I told you, surely it should be obvious that in more than qualified to do this.” I tell him. To emphasize my point, I pull out my knife from my boot and hold it up ready.
“No! This is too dangerous. Go back inside kid.” he removes the key from the ignition, adamant that we aren’t going anywhere with me in the car.
“Too dangerous?! I have killed monsters before but God forbid I help you pick up some kids! Just drive.” I buckle myself in-I’m coming whether he likes it or not.
“Fine.”
“Why are we parking here? The scrap yard is just around the corner.” I ask as we pull in to a refuge area. Three identical cars zoom past as I’m about to open the door.
“That’s why. C'mon, you said you were gonna help so help.” Hopper exits the car, gun in hand. I follow behind him at a brisk jogging pace through the trees until we come out in the scrap heap. There are men in suits approaching the rusted school bus with guns in their hands. This is insane!
All three of them walk together, not even checking the perimeter (lucky for us) so we creep up behind. I watch my footing on all of the crap that might give us away on the floor until we’re a hop, skip and a jump away from getting them. A mustachioed agent slides open the heavy doors to take a look inside and I’m sure he’s ready to fire his gun at the kids. Hopper leaps ahead and grabs him, knocking him over the head with the butt of his gun.
“Hey!” Another one yells at me as he turns around. I swiftly punch him round the face and take advantage of his dazed moment to yank the gun from his hand. He drops to the floor unconscious when I smack him in the side of the head with it.
“What the?” The last agent barely has the time to be shocked as Hopper takes him out with his fists.
“You good?” He asks me, a mildly impressed smirk on his face.
“Yeah, I handled it.” I tell him. Rolling his eyes, he enters the bus with myself one step behind. The kids look terrified at first but relax a little when they see it’s up. And they’re with that girl minus the blonde hair.
“Alright, let’s go… Let’s go!” They hop to it immediately. Get the kids… check!I
It'sa bit of a squeeze in the back of the car for the four of them to fit but it’s not like we’re going to get pulled over with the chief of the police driving. When we get back to the house, Nancy, Joyce and Jonathan all come rushing outside. While Nance reunites with her brother, I get an unexpected hug from Dustin.
“Thanks for helping save us from the bad men Y/N.”
“Oh, well… you’re welcome I guess.”
“But… how did you know how to punch those guys?” He looks up to me, unhooking his arms and waiting for an answer.
“It's… a long story. Let’s go inside and I’ll explain.”
“Real?”
“Yes. All of them. Well… most of them- just ask me and I’ll probably be able to tell you yes or no.”
“Vampires?” Dustin asks first.
“Yes. But not like you think, they have lots of teeth.” he gulps, eyes wide; whoops probably shouldn’t have said that.
“Ghosts?” Mike follows up.
“Yes. There are lots of different types but they aren’t all dangerous.” That’s a lie. Ghosts come from spirits still trapped on earth, they go crazy and start to hurt people.
“Werewolves?”
“Alright, I think that’s enough for now.” Hopper jumps in before the kids can ask about any more, “The point is she can hunt monsters so we might have a shot at this. The plan is we go to the school and we make this sensory deception-”
“Deprivation.” Dustin corrects him.
“Sensory deprivation tank. We contact Will and Barbara, find out where they are. Then I need to somehow get into that lab and get into the upside down.”
“If you think you’re going to break in there and then go into another dimension without me, you can think again!” I argue, having noticed he said ‘I’.
“Kid, you can’t come with me.” He sighs, rolling his eyes yet again. Sorry for making sure you don’t die!
“Why not? I’ve dealt with the world nearly ending before, I’ve saved my life and the lives of others multiple times. You saw what I did back there, you know I’m more than capable.” I stand from my seat, getting in his face a little. It takes me back to my arguments with dad over him letting me go to school and do dangerous things like make friends. He would get incredibly mad at me for answering back and dump me at Bobby’s until I’d learned my lesson. Or Dean would step in, siding with me that I should be allowed to play outside with the kids from the motel room next door. Sam would be told to take me with him to get dinner and when we came back, Dean would be quietly hiding a fresh bruise or nursing a black eye. And then dad would be all friendly again, calling me his precious little girl and buying me a pretty dress from Goodwill.
“I know that you probably can but you are not risking your life for this. I won’t have it.”
While everyone else packs supplies for heading to the school, Nancy pulls me to one side.
“So… when I told you I saw a guy with no face, you actually believed me…”
“Of course I did! But I couldn’t just come out and say it and I didn’t want you getting hurt so that’s why I told you not to get into it. And then you went to hunt it with Jonathan so I had to make sure you didn’t get killed by that thing.”
“You were there in the woods?” Nancy asks in shock. Ah, didn’t tell her about that did I?
“Yeah.”
“And when you came to break up the fight…”
“Not my first time throwing a punch, no.”
“Wow…” she takes a step back while my guilt washes over me. It’s been awful having to lie to her and Barb all this time but I could never just come out with the truth, could I? I would have been branded a total nutcase and shunned by everyone in school.
“I hate always having to lie but it’s better than scaring people. My brothers barely even talk about that part of our lives anymore and we obviously never expected a monster to show up here.”
“Wait, you didn’t?” Nance looks scared.
“No! Dean picked the place because of the lack of activity. I told them I thought something was going on and they didn’t believe me!” I tell her. Running a hand through my hair, I turn away with tears on the verge of falling. I hate lying. It was always the worst part of the job growing up. The job. I was a kid! I still am a kid. And yet out of everyone involved in this, I am the most prepared for what we’re about to do and that scares me. It scares me because of anyone gets hurt, it’s going to be on me.
“Y/N/N?” Nancy taps on my shoulder, and I jump in shock, “I know it’s a lot, and… you shouldn’t have to do this. But if what you’ve said is true then… I think we need you.”
“I know, I know. Just old memories and stuff. I guess some part of me really did believe that that part of my life was over and now… it’s just becoming real.” she holds out her arms and squeezes me with a hug.
“Nancy, Y/N, let’s go!”
