i just love /s how the second you tell a fakeclaimer that you're diagnosed, they take one of 3 stances:
You're apparently faking, because they don't see your private medical records anywhere
2. You're still faking, because you have too many diagnoses/you were diagnosed in the "wrong way"
3. You're still a bad person, because you enable the "faker's" "attention-seeking behavior"
And then they proceed to talk over you on your own issue and try to argue for neurodivergent people being pushed out of their own spaces, despite the fact that you're literally diagnosed and they're probably a mentally healthy abled nt

Late-diagnosed neurodivergent culture is having been obsessed with personality typing and character archetyping systems your whole life because A: you were desperate for an explanation as to why you were different, and B: humans are terrifying and unpredictable and you wanted some way to fairly-reliably predict their behaviors and motivations.
And then, post-diagnosis, going back to those things and laughing when you realize how many blatant descriptions of neurodivergence are in them. And wondering how many of them are that way because their creators were scared, lonely, confused NDs just like you.

Neurodivergent culture is people constantly saying things along the lines of "it's such a shock that you've got all these disorders", meanwhile you've known for years and it was just that nobody listened to you.

Autism culture is worrying about being able to live on your own, because there are many things that seem nearly impossible to do independently for you, but everyone in your life veiws you as ‘high functioning’ so it would be a terrible let down if you had to live at home forever.

Autism plus anxiety culture is wanting to wear headphones/earplugs because of the noise, but deciding not to because you're worried you won't be able to hear enough of your surroundings to protect yourself from cars and people.

Nd culture is getting stressed out over imaginary decisions, like thinking ‘what would I do with a million dollars’ and then being upset because you can’t decide, even though it’s entirely inconsequential because you’re never going to have a million dollars

Note
Neurodivergent culture is needing to know every detail about yourself, your mental states, and your experiences even if you have a hard time comprehending them. So you put years of research into understanding yourself but people pass you off because you’re apparently “too self-aware.”
