A Request for Ko-fi for my best girl Tesla

Hello! I don't usually post my own unique things on Tumblr anymore. Unless, someone has tagged me in a bandwagon survey. I don't generally post my art up anymore either so here we go! I'm an artist, I used to post to my other blog @owldrawathing . Markmybirds is actually my artist handle however, I don't use it for my art tumblr because I created the name for Tumblr initially.

Ok now that I've Overshared in Neurospicy. For the TL;DR: Our dog Tesla that we have had in our family for almost 12 years got diagnosed with a Sarcoma Tumour. Here is my Ko-fi link, please spread the word that I am taking commissions and selling prints of existing artwork for her surgery and pathology.

For the More Overshare Edition cause you want to learn about this beautiful dog and her family. Miss Tesla Umbreon came into my husband and I's lives as a late birthday gift to Cody (the husband). We were living in Ottawa and I took him into Gatineau, QC on the pretense that we were visiting puppies to just look and have some time with cute puppies. They were perfect, I would have loved to adopt a CKC dog for us but an Australian Shepherd breeder had an oops litter. I wanted an Aussie and Cody wanted a Lab for our first dog. His parents bred labs and I am a sucker for shepherd breeds. Long story short we picked out Tesla, our bundle of joy, as she was the quietest bean in the litter and the only puppy who was sold on coming home with us right away, just.. You know she was only just under 1 month when we visited her litter. You see the oops litter, well. She was born from an Aussie/Lab (with the smallest dollop of Border Collie) mix and an Australian Shepherd. She was the perfect oops for Cody and I. Tesla has been with us since she was 2 and a half months old. She has always been the best dog. We had a lot of darkness in that year she came to us, we were blessed by her and her now late cat-bro Kain for giving us a great big light in dark times. The past almost 12 years have been the best. She has been with us all throughout our Undergrads in University, our marriage, the birth of our daughter and she has been helping us raise our now five year old. Tesla has the patience of a saint, and although she is an anxious girl for horrible loud sounds she puts others first before her fears. We have never heard her growl or viciously bark at anyone or anything.

Two weeks ago we made an appointment after finding a new old lady bump that was sus. She has a few lumps and bumps that have just stuck around. However, getting this one tested has returned to us the fact it is a Sarcoma/Malignant Tumour. We are trying to raise funds through art and chainmaille jewellery done by my husband. i was wondering about matt and mello’s parents reaction about them being involved with the mafia, also just in general if they kept in touch with their families as they got older

I always feel bad about posting walls of text, so here’s the short answer.

Chris doesn’t know about them doing mafia stuff, Matt sure as hell ain’t gonna tell him what they did. Matt comes out pretty much from the start to his dad even though he was so scared of it but Chris is accepting and loving about it. Their reunion was absolutely adorable. They keep close contact to Matts family post-canon. They regularly come over for a cuppa.

Ivanka, Ana and Jakov only suspect Mello stepping in their dads criminal footsteps but don’t know what exactly Mello is involved in and they don’t want anything to do with it either. Mello comes out straight away too at the initial reunion - the siblings are either ignorant or low-key deriding Mello and Ivanka has an intense internal struggle about it. You know, croatian catholic conservatism and all that. And like Lilo choosing Stitch at the shelter, I can imagine Ana leaning over to Mello, being like

Nikola doesn’t know the details but he followed Mello’s criminal activity from a distance. So he knows what’s up and he’s pretty proud, I can imagine. There is one clash between Nikola and Mello in a shady bar, where Nikola is chilling with his criminal buddies. Mello doesn’t beat around the bush and introduces Matt as his boyfriend - to a whole table of old white slavic gangsters. I don’t need to tell you how insanely provocative this is. A heated argument between the two breaks out (Nikola shouts in croatian, Mello in english) where Mello makes it clear how he lost all respect for Nikola, how he’s never been there for the family, how he doesn’t deserve to have kids in the first place etc etc. Matt pressures Mello to just leave before things happen, Mello spits on the table as a last statement and leaves.

Undead Unluck Characters and Their Puns

This is gonna be a very long post so please bear with me, guys. I love languages and this is my domain so.

I will only add the appropriate information for the puns depending on how simple or complex it is.

List will be based on their negation ability reveals (or introductions, I'm inconsistent) up until the latest chapter so anime-onlys be warned!

Fūko Izumo (出雲風子, Izu-mo Fuu-ko)

Unluck (不運, fu-un)

Her pun is rather simple. The kanji 雲, meaning cloud, can be read as "un", while 風, meaning wind, is straightforward in the fact that it sounds similar to "fu" as in 不.

Simply put, her name can be read as "Fu-Un" just like her ability!

There's also the bonus cloud + wind combo.

Andy (アンディ, Andi)

Undead (アンデッド, andeddo)

This one is already explained by Fūko lol.

Void Volks (ボイド・ボルクス, Boido Borukusu)

Unavoidable

Avoid.

Gina Chamber (ジーナ • チェンバー, Jiina Chenbaa)

Unchange (アンチェンジ, anchenji)

Hers is actually a really fun one. It got my head scratching until I read the manga in Japanese lol.

Simply reverse it into "Chamber Gina" then cut out the first syllable of each name. "Chen" and "Ji", which becomes "Chenji" as in "Change"!

Rip Tristan (リップ • トリスタン, Rippu Torisutan)

Unrepair

Rip as in the "rip-air" in "repair".

Top Bull Sparx (トップ • ブル • スパークス, Toppu Buru Supaakusu)

Tatiana (タチアナ, Tachiana)

"Tachi" in "Tachiana" is a pun for "Tacchi" as in "Touch"!

Chikara Shigeno (重野力, Shige-no Chikara)

His is also very fun, I only noticed it during the undercover high school arc where his name was written in Ryo's notebook and Nico held it up.

The kanji for move is 動 which consists of the kanji 重 from his surname and 力 from his first name.

This one is really smart, actually.

Akira Kuno (久能明, ku-nou akira) / Un Anno (安野雲, an-no un)

Unknown (不明, fumei )

His first name of "Akira"'s kanji (明) can be read as "mei" as in "fumei".

Un Anno has already been explained within the story, it just sounds like "unknown".

Sean Datz (ション • ダッツ, shon dattsu)

Unseen

Sean looks like "seen", that's the whole pun. But the "depre-sean" and "damna-sean" jokes really get me lol.

Lucy (ルーシー, ruushii)

Unhealthy (アンヘルシー, anherushii)

Still debatable if it was a joke or she's an actual negator. But considering how she can astral project and see other's astral projection, and Nico (when his ability hasn't manifested) couldn't, it's more likely she is one.

"Ruushii" from "anherushii".

Nico Vorgeil (ニコ • フォーゲイル, niko fougeiru)

Unforgettable

Vorgeil sounds like Forget.

I honestly thought he was named Nico as in "Nicotine" because he smoked a lot. Turns out he was named after Nikola Tesla. Oops.

Ichico Nemuri (イチコ • ネムリ)

Unsleep

I love hers so much. Her name is written entirely in katakana instead of kanji, which means it can be read in multiple ways.

The "Ichi" in "Ichico" can be read as "one" as a counterpart to the "Ni" in "Nico" which can mean "two". Add them together, and you can get "three", which can be "Mi-tsu" and the "Mi" as in "Mico"!

Nemuri on its own can be read as "眠り", which means "to sleep" but it can also be read as a combination of "nemu" (sleeping) and "muri" (impossible/unreasonable) which means "unable to sleep".

Backs/Bunny (バックス, bakkusu)

Unback

We don't really have much info but it's obvious the "backs" is from "back".

Phil Hawkins (フィル • ホーキンス, firu houkinsu)

Unfeel (アンフィール, anfiiru )

Characters I haven't figured out the pun yet or unsure about:

• Shen Xiang (シェン • シアン, shen shian) - Untruth

I'd say it's because it sounds similar but not really to "shin" as in 真 meaning truth?

• Mui (ムイ) - Untruth

It could be "mu" as in "none"? Because she's not a negator or... Something else.

• Juiz d'Arc (ジュイズ • ダルク, juizu daruku) - Unjustice (アンジャスティス, anjasutizu)

I guess it's because of anjasutizu?? Not sure.

• Creed Deckard (クリード • デッカード, kuriido dekkaado) - Undecrease (デクリーズ, dekuriizu)

My best bet is "de" from his surname and "kurii" from his first name, but then that makes it "dekurii" instead. So idk.

• Sadako Kurusu (来栖貞子, Kuru-su Sada-ko) / Kururu (クルル) - Unchaste

I really don't know. Except maybe the "kuru" in her name means "arrive" as in her targets rushing onto her?

• Yusai (友才) - Undraw

Exposing myself as a fake fan because I have no idea.

• Isshin (一心) / Haruka Yamaoka (山岡春歌, yama-oka haru-ka)

I might be stupid.

• Billy Alfred (ビリー • アルフレッド, birii arufureddo) - Unfair/Unbelievable

The only possibility I could think of is because readers were told that his ability was "unbelievable". I can't really find a connection between his name and "unfair". Unless it's the fact that his name doesn't have a pun, hence breaking the status quo of having name puns, that makes it unfair. But maybe I'm just reaching.

• Feng Kowloon (ファン • クローン, fan kuroon) - Unfade

I keep on accidentally reading his name as "fan clone" and I can't figure out a pun (if that was even one) other than that...

• Latla Mirah (ラトラ • ミラー, ratora miraa) - Untrust (アントラスト, antorasuto)

It could be the "tora" in "ratora" as in "torasuto". But I'm not really sure.

• Enjin (円陣, en-jin) Unburn

Enjin sounds like "engine", yeah, but I can't really see the pun.

• Victor (ヴィクター, vikutaa) - Undead

I'm not even sure if there is a pun here other than "victor" as in "victory" as in "winner".

Bonus:

The logo for "Under" is literally just the 不 kanji flipped upside down.

So, here's my latest piece of Slovenian homework (AKA thinly-veiled descriptions of my boys)...

Kristina Kristina je najmlajša članica druščine prijateljev, a tudi je najvišja. Ona je vitka in elegantna. Je lepa, ampak včasih je lena.

Marjan Marjan je starejši od Kristine. On je najkrajši najmanjši član skupine prijateljev, a tudi je najglasnejši. Je karizmatičen in zgovoren. Je zelo aktiven: ukvarja se z judom, gre na jahanje in igra nogomet.

Janez Janez je starejši od Marjana. Je manj zgovoren kot Marjan, in zelo tiha v pogovorih, ampak je glasen, ko igra kitaro. On je precej introvertiran in zelo pameten: rad ima matematiko.

Julija Julija je starejša od Janeza. Ona je vesela in družabna. Kot Marjan, je zelo aktivna: rada teče, plava in pleza.

Nikola Nikola je najstarejši član druščine prijateljev. Višji je od Marjana, ni pa tako visok kot Kristina. Kot Janez, je precej introvertiran. On je delaven in prijazen.

Jon was kidnapped again, how often this was happening was genuinely distressing. This time it was by the circus, after they'd Said they weren't going to kidnap him. So there he was tied to a chair, naked much to his shame because that made it easier to moisturize him. He couldn't help but wonder in Nikola enjoyed Silence of the Lambs.

He had been left alone for now, but not for long it seemed because he could hear the clack of plastic feet skipping down the hall and into his prison. "Hello Archivist!" Nikola sang excitedly. "I hope you don't mind! I invited a couple of friends over for a girls night~ They're very excited to see you," She crooned with malicious delight. Just when Jon thought he couldn't be any more afraid.

He pulled on his bindings and gave a wordless objection since he couldn't get any words out around the gag. He hated how helpless that made him, not that his ability to compel people had ever really helped much. Sometimes it bought him a couple minutes but after that his assailant was usually even more angry then before.

"Now now don't get impatient! They should be here soon!" Nikola crooned, willfully misinterpretation Jon's squirming as excitement. One might have thought that as the stranger she just had no idea how people worked, but Jon knew better.

The air in the room changed in an indescribable but familiar and he's not surprised when he hears the creek of a door opening ominously behind him.

"Well hello Archivist, Nikola," It greeted in that headache inducing voice, sounding inordinately pleased. Jon knows that Michael is dangerous but his initial emotion is irritation anyway, he doesn't feel true terror until he hears a wet laugh behind him.

No, NO! That was impossible! Jane was dead, he had talked to the man who had burned her, he had a jar of her ashes on his desk! And yet it was clearly Jane who came shuffling around in front of him, the worms crawling in and out of her skin made him want to throw up and the way she was leering at him didn't help.

"Don't worry! Since I invited them they they promised not to do anything to damage your skin!" Nikola chirped enthusiastically, resting a hand on his shoulder freezing him in place because straining away from Jane the way he had been would send him closer to Nikola.

"Of course that won't stop us from hurting you Archivist," Micheal laughed and grabbed the back of John's neck. He Knew that he wasn't actually being hurt, but this is now that it is, a specialist in fooling one's senses, so Knowing did nothing to sooth the feeling that his neck was on fire! He screamed into the blindfold, barely muffled at all.

Nikola and Jane were laughing, it made him sick! Nikola clapped wooden hands, a clack of plastic muted by stitched together skin, Jane's laugh expelled whatever worms were squirming through her throat, they curled back around into holes in her cheek. Jon's head pounded as Michael laughed and let go of Jon's throat, his scream petering off into a reedy whine.

Nikola slung an arm around Michael's waist since she was entirely unable to each it's shoulder and it grinned to wide for its face and rested its elbow on top of her head. Jon cringed back in his chair as Jane leaned closer. "I'm told you won, but of course that's not going to stop me from trying," his stomach turned at her voice, how wet and ruined it sounded, a little blood bubbled at the corners of her lips.

"I'll take a little revenge for myself now just in case the distortion isn't lying." She opened her mouth and worms poured out, they wouldn't burrow in this time, but his scars ached with the memory and the feeling of them squirming over his bear skin was horrifying! He screamed and thrashed, struggling so hard he knocked the chair over, knocking all the air out of his lungs leaving him wheezing and shuddering on the floor as all three laughed at him.

Michael and Nikola egged Jane and her worms on as they all drank in his fear. What a perfect night for three Avatars, dinner and a show~

Okay so that SaB S2 ending! The show runner—Eric Heisserer(sp?)—is a big crows fan but he said that they just loved Jessie so much. Alina and she have really become the “bedrock” of their mother show—Shadow and Bone and they had to keep her. I’m sure they had other reasons. One of them being that they know how lame her ending was in book 3 but they’ll never admit that. He also said that Mal needs to go find himself, now that he’s lost his purpose. I laughed because dude, just admit that he had no personality beyond nice guy who helps Alina. Not to mention bland love interest. Finally, he said that regarding Alina’s turn for the dark, the Darkling has been “quite honest with her” about the cost of power and that she’ll realize that everything he’s prophesied that will happen to her very well could come true.

Whatever the reasons behind the change, I’m happy for the change because it opens the door for so much—including Darklina! Just imagine, in S3, as she grapples with the corruption and darkness growing in her, she starts yearning for Aleksander, maybe reluctantly but she still starts looking for him. She could go back to that fountain, hold his ring, visit his old chambers etc etc, thinking about him, what he would say, the advice he’d give and just generally wishing he was there because he’s the only one who truly KNOWS, though she’d never admit her longing. Even if Nikolai is also infected, no one will truly truly know other than Aleksander. It’s the whole no one is like us thing. Think of the possibilities! The angst! The drama! Not to mention the possibility for a darklina endgame! Or do you think they’ll have her overcome that darkness (with or without Aleksander’s help) and ultimately still end up with Mal? I do think that the Darkling will be back because Ben Barnes is the most popular fan favorite on that show even more so than Alina or the crows and besides, it’s canon that he comes back in KoS. But still I think they’ll go for the latter unfortunately and have Mal and Alina reconnect in the end. Eugh. I mean why even keep Mal around? But who knows! I never imagined that they’d change the ending for book 3 so much and hint at a corruption arc for Alina. That’s pretty ballsy! So…maybe? Maybe they’re down for a complete endgame change. I dunno, what do you think?

(Ok weird spoiler alert but spoiler alert for vampire diaries, roswell/roswell new mexico and shadowhunters books and shows ships and endgames. It'll make sense when you read it I promise.)

I think anything is possible. They did drastically change the ending of the third book for the show so that does kind of leave it up in the air. I do think that the showrunners are aware of how unpopular the ending was which likely influenced their decision, of course they can't say that. But I also think they are aware that malina is not a very popular ship that doesn't generate much or any buzz really, not like darklina and other ships on the show do. Its also worth noting that there are other shows that changed the end games from their book counter parts. The Vampire diaries books for example, as written by the og author, ends with stefan and elena together but the show went for a delena endgame, which I believe was the more popular ship. In shadowhunters Luke ends up with Maryse Lightwood in the show but in the books its Jocelyn he ends up with. Then you've got the Roswell books and tv shows who take the cake for swapping ships about all over the place. In the books Max ends up with Liz, Michael with Maria, and Isabel has something going on with Micheal's brother trevor who doesn't appear in the show. There are other love interests in the books that don't show up in the og show as well, nikolas, adam and cameron for example. Then you have the og show where the ships end kind of similar with max and liz, Micheal and maria but Isabel is married to Jesse although similar to isabel and trevor in the books Isabel and jessie though they love each other go their separate ways, there is also a whole romance between Max and Tessa who is a character that was not from the books. Honestly when it comes to the newer Roswell New Mexico series I don't know what's going on with it anymore because I stopped watching it like halfway through season 2, but that adds new ships as well like Alex and Michael. The point is when it comes to shows and ships you never know what they are going to do. Sometimes they stick with the books, sometimes they put characters that are in the books together but in different pairings and sometimes they invent whole new characters to act as love interests.

I don't know whether they will go for a darklina end game but I don't think its out of the question especially if they are going with the corruption arc for Alina. It really could go either way they could have Alina and darkling go down a darker path together but then both redeem themselves at the end by sacrificing themselves for ravka, it could be just Aleks sacrificing himself, it could be that Alina is redeemed and ends up with mal after all, after he's gone off and discovered himself. It really is a anything could go situation so I would say don't give up hope for a darklina endgame. I won't until I see the last scene of the last season.

Irregardless I do think the change at the end of season 2 is going to open the door for alot of darklina content which I am really excited about. I did like what you said about Alina pining for Aleks and revisiting the fountain, the war room, his chambers and playing with his rings, honestly I would love to see that. If she also thinks she keeps seeing him about the place or even dreams about him, it would be even better.

Manuel Torres knocks out Nikolas Motta in the 1st!

Knew this one would end with one of these guys KOed. Two guys who love the pocket but have like 0 defensive awareness when they are in it. Motta landed a really hard strike a tad earlier but Torres feinted the jab 3x to close the distance and land a gorgeous elbow as Motta tried to throw a lead left hook.

Ko je Bruno Caboclo?

Najnovija akvizicija u crno-belom taboru beogradskog Partizana je brazilski centar Bruno Caboclo, posle još jedne transfer “sage”.

Yam Madar je bio u krupnim planovima trenera Željka Obradovića, pa je njegov odlazak bio šok u datom trenutku, jer je Partizan na poziciji organizatora igre bez klasičnog plejmejkera želeo da zadrži reprezentativca Izraela. To se na kraju nije dogodilo. Kako i zbog kojih razloga, možda nikada nećemo ni saznati pravu istinu.

Potom je usledila “španska serija” i slučaj Nikola Mirotić. Posle nekoliko razgovora i sastanaka trenera Obradovića i sportskog direktora Zorana Savića dogovor je inicijalno postignut, “na reč”, narodski rečeno. Informacije koje su kružile košarkaškim kuloarima bile su kontradiktorne, a Mirotić je karijeru nastavio tamo gde niko nije očekivao, u Milanu.

Iako je italijanski tim pre svih istakao da nema potrebne finansije za takvog igrača, krilni košarkaš je završio u “gradu mode”. Trener Obradović je potvrdio sastanke sa Mirotićem i usmeni dogovor, ali do potpisa nije došlo. Opet možemo postaviti dva identična pitanja, kako i iz kojih razloga? Sledi identičan odgovor kao i za Izraelca koji je napustio Beograd, prava istina stoji uz ogroman znak pitanja.

I na minulom Mundobasketu gledajući individualni učinak Bruno Caboclo je beležio poprilično zrele partije. Odigrao je ukupno pet utakmica, na kojima se prosečno na parketu provodio nešto više od 28 minuta.

Protiv Španije je postigao 15 poena uz 11 skokova, bez da je promašio iz reketa (6/6). U duelu sa Letonijom brojao je do 20 uz fantastične procente šuta iz igre (7/11). I na Svetskom prvenstvu je ostvario brojke kao u Ulmu, dok ne neke parametre dodatno podigao. 16,4 poena, 9,2 skokova i nešto manje od asistencije po utakmici bili su učinak kojim je završio planetarnu smotru.

Veliki broj pitanja i niti jedan pravi odgovor. Kao što smo već rekli, bilo je za očekivati da nakon Ulma napravi dodatni iskorak u karijeri. Možda Venezia koja se takmiči u Seriji A i Evrokupu nije to što je on želeo, ali činjenica je da je stavio paraf na ugovor.

Potom se dogodilo nešto što se retko može čuti. Naime, kada je završeno Svetsko prvenstvo, košarkaši su neki posle dužeg, a neki posle nešto kraćeg odmora otputovali u svoje klubove na pripreme. Bruno Caboclo to nije učinio. Prvobitno se nije pojavio na okupljanju tima, što je odjeknulo Starim kontinentom i otvorilo niz pitanja.

Da li posle Mundobasketa i prikazanih partija smatra da zaslužuje više? Da li Venezia možda na kraju priče i nije to što je on želeo? Da li je Evroliga kao merna jedinica kvaliteta na Starom kontinetu bila njegova primarna želja?

Ako je tako, uspeo je u svojoj nameri i na kraju “isterao svoje”. Igraće najelitnije evropsko takmičenje u klubu koji ima i te kakve ambicije da napravi veliki rezultat. Prošle godine su bili na pobedu od plasmana među četiri najbolja tima Evrope. Pred početak ove sezone najavili su da žele dodatni iskorak.

Partizan je na samom startu sezone pokazao da im igrači na centarskoj poziciji ipak ne mogu doneti sve ono što je bio Mathias Lessort. Naravno da ne postoje dva identična košarkaša na planeti, ali potreba crno-belih da potpišu isključivo centra i potreba Brazilca da se izbori za ono što mu pripada došli su u idealnom trenutku za dve strane. Ostaje da se vidi koliki doprinos može dati.

Bruno Caboclo poseduje značajno NBA iskustvo što potvrđuje i njegovih 105 nastupa u najkvalitetnijoj ligi sveta. Ruku na srce nikada nije dobijao neku značajniju minutažu, pa prosek od 4,2 poena, 2,6 skokova i 0,7 asistencija možda nisu prva slika o ovom igraču. Ili jednostavno u takvoj konkurenciji nije uspevao da se nametne.

U tih nekoliko godina gde je nastupao za Toronto Raptorse, Sacramento Kingse, Memphis Grizzliese i Houston Rocketse češće je bio deo razvojnih timova koji su se takmičili u G ligi. Nakon epizode “preko bare” zadužio je košarkašku opremu Limogesa. Tamo je na 19 odigranih utakmica imao prosečno 10,2 skokova i nešto više od pet skokova.

Zatim se zaputio u rodni Brazil, a tamo je nastupao za Sao Paulo s velikim uspehom. Osim što je tim vodio do titule u južnoameričkoj Ligi šampiona blistao je sa 23,9 poena i 11,1 skokova po utakmici. Na taj način zaradio je i nagradu za najkorisnijeg igrača takmičenja. Potom sledi Ulm, te put od mesta u drugoj petorci Evrokupa, preko neuspešnog italijanskog posla i FIBA Svetskog prvenstva do Beograda.

Ključno pitanje za sve pristalice crno-belog tabora, ali i članove Partizana u datom trenutku je šta će se dogoditi u Beogradu? Saznaćemo već u narednih nekoliko meseci.
