They’re my favorite and I HATE what the fandom has done to them. They’re a scared child who did some horrible things when they were alive because they resented the evils of humanity that they had been exposed to, and they might have done some slight emotional abuse of Asriel (their sibling,) but ultimately they are a CHILD and they were trying to help their new family. And then they die and their morality basically goes along with the player’s morality, but everyone is so keen to pawn their own actions off on Chara because they don’t want to reckon with the game’s REAL message about the PLAYER’s morality!!!! Chara did some bad things and enabled some worse things but all of that was a reaction to their environment and everything they did they thought they were doing for a good reason!!!
Nimona
She's not morally ambiguous, she's a poor little meow meow but she deserves to be in a pool so she feels better. Also the powerful rage and will to destroy and murder is there. She's not a girl, she's a shark, but she's also the best girl
Girlbossest girlboss. Willing to kill for (good?) causes, wants to be a sidekick to a villain but also doesn't really want to be hated and feared. When you weigh the motivations of her comic versions and her movie version i'd say it balances out to Morally Grey.
POV: Mari rewatched Nimona and is now writing the next BTC AU Bit because sad emo father and chaotic emo daughter.
Anyways.
I have a few ideas for what I’ll write next and tbh it doesn’t matter in which order I write two of them. So I’ll just put up a poll tomorrow for which one I should do first. And then I’ll. Well do the other one.
And then after that the order in which I write WILL actually matter because it’ll get into the more important stuff.
But for now I must ruminate. Nimona was the og River down to the letter. Ballister is like a morally good BTC Springtrap. But they are evil villains together. And I love them. They are ostracized from the world around them regardless of whether it’s their fault or not and they find solace in being evil little bastards together. And River does witchcraft. And demon work.
Tagging @skeletoninthemelonland bc I never want either of us to shut up about the Nimona comparison it makes me so happy
i do unironically think the best artists of our generation are posting to get 20 notes and 3 reblogs btw. that fanfic with like 45 kudos is some of the best stuff ever written. those OCs you carry around have some of the richest backstories and worldbuilding someone has ever seen. please do not think that reaching only a few people when you post means your art isn't worth celebrating.
And no one was surprised, except everyone pictured here.

So this is a thing I’m doing now, I guess! I was initially going to make an ask blog, but I think people aren’t really as interested in ask blogs as they once were? So I’m just going to do some comics on my own steam now and then, but if anyone wanted to send me asks I certainly wouldn’t be averse to it 👀
Sure, she did brainwash merlin into killing Arthur, also tried to kill Merlin, and took his magic, plus kill some of the knights (gwaine and lancelot). But like she was taught to fear magic then found she was magic and fear took over. Plus merlin poisoned her, hurt morgouse, hid his magic and pushed her down the stairs. Oh and Uther turned out to be her father and what is more damaging than finding out you're related to him through blood, and no less because of a affair, cheating on a woman who's death caused a kingdom-wide ban on something that morgana didn't get to choose, and possibly others didn't choose either. Also her outfits are absolutely awesome, even when it's 'crazy homeless woman in the woods chic'. Also I'm convinced she's the one that told Arthur those threats he used in the first episode. She defo sussed he's bi and decided to help.
She was a straight up hero in the first season, then spent some time with her sister and came back evily smirking everywhere. She is played by Katie McGrath so of course she's girlboss (also she's royalty)

"It is with great sadness that we confirm that our beloved knight, Sir Ballister Boldheart has sadly been killed in tonight's horrific accident at Glorodome. The Institute has begun the investigation..."
Ballister is dead.
