My favourite horror stories are the ones where the main character is stopping to get help somewhere, like their car ran out of gas in the middle of nowhere but miraculously there’s a gas station, or they have food with a kind lady in a house, only to leave to find out the station / house was abandoned. 

Because it’s meant to be freaky like “oh, they were talking to ghosts this whole time!” yeah man, ghosts that just wanted to give you food and chill. They didn’t have to help you or be nice at all, and there’s literally no consequences for them being mean or violent because they’re already dead, yet they choose to have tea and cookies. You think it’s scary, I think it’s sweet

Thought 13-- I was thinking about how Squirrelflight was clearly trying to connect Sparkpelt and Flamepaw, when it hit me

She was probably thinking about her sister-- Leafpool, who desperately wanted to be close to her kits, but was forced to give them up. Leafpool, who spent her whole life being as much of a mother as she could, always falling short. Leafpool, who never stopped loving her kits, even when they stopped loving her. Leafpool, who lost her daughter only shortly after they had reconciled.

Squirrelflight knows how precious time between a mother and child is. She doesn’t want to see Sparkpelt waste it anymore than she already has, because she knows the heartbreak that it causes.

I want a character to become more isolated

I want a character that’s tired of doing their best when everything is always falling apart around them

I want a character that’s tired of apologizing when everyone gets so easily angry with them

I want to read the moment their friends go “oh” and realize that something is Terribly Wrong

I want a character to do something horrible

I want a character to realize that they don’t feel bad about it at all

I want a character that will decide to do something horrible again

I want a character to embrace the darkness

I want readers to realize that the character they believed to be the good guy might just end up the villain

Got bored, so here’s a short explanation of genetics (which can be applied to Warriors)

I may have missed some stuff. I don’t know if saying that they give half their chromosomes is the correct terminology, but yeah anyway this is the basics.

Traits can refer to eye colour, pelt colour, short fur vs long fur, etc.

If one parent has a recessive trait, the dominant trait is shown. 

If both parents have the same recessive trait, the recessive trait is shown (this connects to punnet squares, too).

Can we appreciate that initially Steven didn’t like anyone else having control of his body, and then Steven and Marc kinda fought for control and had to convince the other to let them take over, and then in the end they slip back and forth so smoothly like its nothing? They literally spoke to each other by taking over the body to speak one after the other back and forth and it was so effortless. 

AND how when one is asked a question or told something, the other slips in to respond like “hang on, I got this.”

Final thought-- I’m suspicious of Curlfeather. No one suspected foul play, everyone thought that Mistystar and Reedwhisker’s deaths were nothing but tragic events.

But for some reason, Curlfeather tells her daughter not to trust anyone. Clan loyalty is the most important thing in all the Clans, so why would she say this, the last words to her daughter, unless she had good reason? This leads me to several conclusions:

--Curlfeather is smart enough to put two and two together and figure out something must be wrong,

--Curlfeather overheard something she wasn’t supposed to,

--Curlfeather was in on it

Thought 14-- really liking the switching Clans thing. And also the Shadowclan warriors being supportive of Fringewhisker was actually kinda sweet.

Thought 15-- if they make Sunbeam and Nightheart love interests, I’m gonna vomit. If they have any dynamic, it’s big sis and little bro.

Thought 16-- Lightleap has yet to prove to me that she doesn’t suck. Not just the fact that she’s being a prick to Sunbeam, but still in the beginning when Sunbeam got hurt trying to protect her, all Lightleap could focus on was keeping it secret and couldn’t be bothered to actually make sure Sunbeam was okay beyond her initial reaction.
