@curiooftheheart — Saheeli's Beacon Some people might have noticed that I'm a sucker for flavor. Having cards that make the worlds of magic feel like a living place really entices me, as well as cards depicting characters acting in the world they're put in. This is a brilliant card that really pulls together lore and mechanics and a design that I already really like (Eldrazi Monument) into something I think would be really fun to play.

@piccadilly-blue — Dive In Wild to think that guy has a kid now. This is a weird one. but the wording "chaos ensues on" is already on a card. It also presumes that you're playing with the variant rule of Planechase, something that I'm going to address in the main commentary and really do apologize for not clearing up, but still I think this works as a planar Chain of Smog. The beginning should probably read "Reveal the top card," but aside from that there's not much to say.

@izzet-always-r-versus-u — Mine Through the World This entry is really cool, and not just because I've been on a Minecraft binge lately. I think that this is really flavorful, and makes use of the mechanics super well. I can honestly see this in like, a precon, and not even one specifically focused on Planechase. My favorite part of it is actually how non-random it is, despite wanting a lot of dice rolling. You still get to choose how much life you choose, and that's why it's here. Also, where's [name of urza's grandkid who got in a phyrexian portal whose name I can't look up because scryfall is down for maitenance]?

ok i made the caster krile summoning circle

#ok so first we have kriles official se render in the middle. this is krile in her most official form and we summon her in the middle as #the middle man to se. #then we have 2 reshade kriles at east and west #this is krile in her fanon form that we will use to encourage square enix gods to give us caster krile #we put them balanced at east and west to not disrupt the gravity of the circle #then at north and south we have unedited in game shots of krile to balance the reshade kriles #linking them together we have magical ranged dps screenshots to also help with the balance of the circle #it adds additional support in the same way beams support ceilings #then i have krile green mage text everywhere because this is the message i want to deliver to se #for anyone seeing this without context no im not insane this is what i used to do when playing gacha games to summon the cards i wanted #on my gacha game profiles and it worked everytime #im not even a big krile fan i just really want her to fight with us. she deserves to kick ass in the next expac #as a little treat #krile mayer baldesion #fanfest #ffxiv #ff14 #green mage #my post

It's a shame that I can't fucking stand the universes beyond card frame because there's some real pretty new land art

#for the curious: mtg universes beyond is the official magic crossovers with other ips #which. i have mized to negative feelings om #but they tend to reprint a bunch of good lands when they do it! #and because of that they have to get new art that reflects the 'proper' setting #and a lot of its real pretty (esp from the lotr and dr who commander decks) #but they also put a different frame on all the 'universes beyond' cards and i think it is ugly as all hell #asks #ask games

Between Vee eating cards to fuel her magic and there literally being a cardgame called Magic the Gathering, how long until Gus and Hunter end up at the local nerd/game/comic store, getting increasingly frustrated as the attendant patiently tries to explain the rules of the game but the boys can't figure out how to activate the human magic glyphs and the attendant can't figure out why the two kids keep trying to fight them on the rules.

.......i kinda want to play MTG sometimes but i'm stuck in a dumb loop

i play with the basic bitch premade official decks, usually against friends in chill games where we all kinda suck

then i want to play more or against other people cause my friends are usually kinda busy and one game every month is not much, maybe i can try Arena or whatever

but of course there people are competitive and the basic decks don't work at all when against people with regular ones

so i'm stuck with the options of either going for big netdecks (expensive, i will never learn to make a deck) or trying to make my own deck (i have no idea how there are too many cards how do you even)

then i just give up for a year or so i guess
