"Fairness" One Piece x Saitama reader, Six.

"Just a Normal girl looking for an everyday life. At least, if you call sailing across the seas with idiots with useless dreams a simple task, then you might wanna see a doctor. Seriously."

Warnings: Blood, gore, mentions of Luekimia, and heaps amount of blood and strength. It might be a little cursing, but not bad, and maybe some flirting in there, but it's mostly clean.

Other things:

-You didn't get bald due to your powers; you got bald to an extreme illness.

-You part of the straw hat crew, but others are interested in you and your power.

-Everyone that is a male is taller than you.

-Monsters from the OPM world will appear in One Piece, and I'll make some new monsters you will fight.

"S-She's the girl...the marines were talking about..." Some whitebeard pirates spoke, as they couldn't believe I stood up to their captain like that. While glancing around the battlefield, some marines needed clarification on how I had a simple conversation with the strongest Yonko. "H-How does she know Whitebeard?! Who even is she!?" They questioned, as Koby and his partner were glancing at me, too, wondering the same thing. "I don't get it. A girl like her escaping from the prison should hide! Why bother coming to this living hell!? I wouldn't do that if I was even a girl!!" Kobi gulped slightly, looking at the blonde boy. "Because of what some of the marines said, they described a cute yet powerful girl whose punches can wipe out a whole army!" The blonde's eyes widened. "A-A WHOLE ARMY?! But look at her! She looked nothing like a warrior!" Koby's teeth gritted. "That's what the impel guards said, but look, she's here now..."The two kept staring me down, as Ace did, as some sort of pain and worry was in his eyes. "Pops....Cutie..." He whispered.....as we cut back to me, as Whitebeard was still eying me from behind. 'So this girl is what the marines were talking about...this is the girl arrested with Ace...' He thought as I put my wig in a ponytail until I turned to him. "Old man." "Hmm?" "I don't know if this is true, but when arriving, I heard one of the Navy's say Ace's execution is being pushed earlier. Is that true?" He was silent for a moment before smirking. "So they're gonna execute Ace immediately?" "AH, so you didn't know either?" He chuckled. "Of course not. Sengoku is always one step ahead..are you telling the truth, brat?" I shrugged. "Dunno, but they said they're going with the plan after setting something up; Luffy doesn't know about it..." "I see." "I know you want to rescue Ace, too, so I thought that information could be useful to you." He turned from you to the battlefield. "I see. That was important information. Thank you." I nodded with a smile. "Yeah, no problem." Buggy and Ivanka's eyes and mouths shot open. "HOW CAN SHE TALK ON EQUAL TERMS WITH WHITEBEARD?!" Buggy questioned as I got in stance and glared at Ace's platform. "Don't worry, Ace...we'll save you! Be safe, old man!" Whitebeard nodded, watching as I hopped off the ship, running in Ace's direction.

"H-How is she not scared?!" Mister three-spoke as a shit tone of Marines came my way, as I jumped super high in the air. "Impact Smash!" I slammed my fists onto the ground, spreading them like flies as I ran through the smoke, not stopping whatsoever.

Whitebeard was impressed with my simple attack, as one of his crewmembers ordered others to follow and keep up with me, as they all yelled in reply.

Jimbei stepped forward. "We should go, too! Luffy's already ahead, so If we follow her, we'll catch up to him in no time!" As did Ivanka, he began to jump off, and Buggy was shocked they were doing this.

As I kept moving forward, I dodged more marines' attacks, easily defeating them with punches and kicks, Ivanka and Jimbei aiding me as the three of us continued on, Luffy way ahead in the distance. "We need to get close!" I stated, hopping over a stumbling marine before sliding through another one's legs, kicking him in the but as I jumped back up, simply grabbing a wrist and holding a sword, as I needed him out of the way. "Who knows what trouble Luffy may run into-" "ACK!" "AUGH!" "WAHH!" The three of us looked in the direction of the screams, as a tall man in a yellow striped suit was moving very fast, like light, as explosions came from his foot.

I was slightly impressed with his power as I kept eying him. "He looks strong!" I spoke as Jimbei looked annoyed. "That's Admiral Kizaru; he's a pain in the ass with his devil fruit power." I nodded. "I see, so he can kick explosions, correct?" "Close, little one, but not close enough!" My eyes widened when he was in front of us, light coming out of his feet as he kicked us, but I moved Jimbei and Ivanka out of the way, us barely dodging it. "I didn't believe my ears when they said a tiny, bigger girl was escaping impel down, but I have to say, I am shocked that the words were true!" He spoke, his hands going to his pockets. "Don't push your luck. Even if all of you escaped the prison, I won't let you invade that easily." He simply spoke, and my eyes glared up at him until Luffy ran past us, as Kizaru saw. "YOU'RE THE GUY FROM SABAODY!!!" He screamed, as Kizaru only kept looking at him."I would ruin you there because the Celestial Dragons wanted it." He got into a stance, and his foot lit up brightly again as a creepy smile that pedos lined his face. "Straw Hat Luffy..." And that he began to kick Luffy. My eyes widened, and Ivanka acted as if she got in front of him, but I got in front of her, pushing her out of the way. "TWISTED KICK!!" I yelled, clashing together, deflecting the explosion easily, as Luffy lunched back. However, it still didn't affect how big the blast was, as a giant ass amber circle formed through the battlefield, the ground shaking rapidly. Buggy and the pirates with them had their arms up and back, crying with fear as the wind subsided; I slid back on my feet, as did Kizaru, Luffy smiling up at me. "Y/n-chan! Thank you!" "DON'T BE SO RECKLESS NEXT TIME IDIOT!" I snapped as he ran to go to Ace more and heard Kizaru sigh. "Man, you deflected it...I'm surprised, little one.." My teeth gritted, turning to him. "Don't think I'd let you get Luffy so easily...we both have a common goal." One of his eyebrows rose. "Really? And what is that?" "To save Ace! Isn't that Obvious-" I was interrupted when another bright light was shown in the smoke, Ivanka's eyes widening as she saw a familiar figure. "Kouma!" she yelled, as a man with a panda hat on had his mouth wide open, as something inside of it was charging and locking on to Ivanka. "IVAN-CHAN!" I yelled as this man blew lasers at her, which she dodged as she looked at him with disbelief. I sighed with relief, knowing that She was okay as Kizaru was in front of me again, about to explode me more until I dodged, kicking him in the back. However, before he could tumble, he teleported, his hands still in his pocket as he went to my right, about to slam his foot into my side, before I grabbed it, launching him away from me quickly, running to him as he got back up, both my fist and his foot clashing with each other again. He smirked down at me. "You strong, little one; too bad you're on their side; you'd make a good marine.." My teeth gritted. "Does it look like I want to be one of your snot-nosed undergrads who doesn't grant freedom?! No thanks!" I pushed his foot off, both of us charging at each other multiple times, quick, faster than lightning, as no one else saw what was going on, as all we did was attack and block each other.

But, as he tried to do another explosion to me, I blocked it again, the blast affecting everyone else but not me as I stood there blankly, holding the wig on my head.

Realizing my power, he whistled before setting his leg back down. "Man, you deflected it again! I'm impressed." My head tilted. "Is that all you got, striped man?"

He smiled smugly at my comment. "Not at all, but You're strong and wasting my time; I won't bother you anymore, Little one, so I must kick some other people to the curb. Good luck getting Ace,, if you can make it there!" He suddenly left, and my eyes widened. "HEY GET BACK HERE!" I yelled, not liking he just went into our little fight, as Luffy was worried about Ivanka, who only had a hole through her hair. "DON'T WORRY ABOUT ME YOU TWO! LEAVE KUMA TO ME AND JUST GO AHEAD!" Luffy nodded. "Got it!" He bolted to where I was, grabbing my hand and pulling me with him as we headed to continue to Ace, trying our best to not keep our guard down.

As we continued forwards, some weak marine man and a clueless marine women tried to stop us, but we simply got passed them easily.

Running forwards more, Luffy dodged a man with a spiked club, his leg stretching and kicking him like a whip, before ducking from a sword, punching him out of the way as he gritted, looking my way as I slammed my fist in the ground, scattering more Marines. "These guys are stong!" He spoke, as I nodded. "Yeah! But we need to keep moving forwards!" I spoke, not noticing certain people watching us fight off others as well, as one of the warlord brought the dead back to life?!

My eyes widened with shock. "OHH THEY'RE ZOMBIES!!" A fat creature had a wide grin to his face, bringing the Zombies to us. "Moria! We can't deal with him now!" I turn to him. "You know this fat creature?!" He nodded. "yes! I defeated his ass!" I snorted. "Be the thinks he can defeat you again." As some of the Zombies jumped up in the air, one of them punched to me, as I jumped, simply hopping on his back, pushing him to the floor, as Luffy did the same, but one of them knocked him down, as he moved out of the way quickly, looking back up.

A weird looking Half horse half zombie man shot his guns at me, as I jsust stood their with a tilted head, myself jumping high, as my fingers went close to it's face. "Simple flick." I stated, my fingers flicking onto it's head, as it suddenly launched backwards, crashing into more of the Zombies as Moria's mouth opened with shock. "HE WAS FLICKED?! YOU WERE DEFEATED BY A FLICK?!" Landing simply, the Zombies we thought we defeated got back up, soon surrounding us as I gritted my teeth with annoyance. "Should of learned from the walking dead! These guy's can't die!" I tried to think of something, as some marines ran towards us as well, aiding the Zombies.

Thinking and dodging with Luffy, I looked to the Moria guy, as he probably is the cause.

But, the more we tried to get to him, the more we both got hit, as Ace couldn't take it anymore. "CUTIE!! LUFFY!!" He yelled, making everyone stop, as we both turned to him. "I KNOW YOU BOTH KNOW IT! LUFFY, YOU AND I, WE'RE BOTH PIRATES!! WE BOTH SAILED ON THE SEA AS WE LIKED! I HAVE MY OWN ADVENTURES!! I HAVE MY OWN FRIENDS!! I WANT YOU TO...KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF OF THEM!!" His words shocked us, as we didn't listen and kept moving forward. "DO YOU THINK A WIMP LIKE YOU, LUFFY, AND A GIRL LIKE YOU, Y/N, WANTS TO SAVE ME?! DO YOU THINK THAT I'LL ALLOW YOU BOTH TO DO THAT?! LUFFY! IT'S SO HUMILIATING!!" I know what he's doing; he's worried for Luffy and me as well, as I could sense the lining pitch into his cry to us, which made us not stop but keep going, confusing him more. "DON'T YOU HERE ME?! GO BACK YOU TWO! WHY DID YOU BOTH COME HERE?!" He closed his eyes, his teeth gritting with total regret as my heart broke then and there, myself kicking a marine away from me and ducking a sword.

I can tell he was blaming himself for all of this, as it all wasn't true.

He doesn't deserve this..

He doesn't deserve to die for living his life.

He deserves fairness, as of the rest of us do.

"ACE!!" I screamed as his eyes shot open, Looking straight at me. "I DON'T CARE IF YOU DON'T WANT US TO DO THIS!!! YOU SAID BACK AT IMPEL DOWN YOU WERE GETTING REVENGE FOR A CREW MEMBER!! I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU, BUT GETTING ARRESTED FOR THAT IS SUCH BULLSHIT!" I broke a sword quickly with my hands, and he kept staring at me as I continued. "YOU DYING ON THAT PLATFORM GIVES THESE MARINES A WIN, AND YOU DON'T DESERVE TO DIE BY JUST LIVING YOUR DAMN LIFE!! SO STOP BEING IDIOTIC TO YOUR BROTHER AND LET HIM AND I HELP YOU!! LET US GIVE YOU THE FAIRNESS YOU DESERVE!" I finished, himself not believing your words as they struck his heart, Garps as well, as he had a memory of him and Luffy, cheering and pressing their glasses of Liqued together, forging their brotherhood. He also remembered you, sitting in the cell with him, a smile on your face as you were chained up, not caring about what was going to happen to you; he knew when he talked with you those five hours, something was different, as he has never seen any girl like you, with a strong heart, and a pride so rich.

No one else could believe my words either, not believing that Luffy was his brother, as Gold Roger and his wife died when Ace was born.

As they kept wondering, me and Luffy kept running, towards Ace, as his eyes never left me, as we kicked the shit out of more marines, not bothered by our scratches and bruises.

But, as we kept fighting our way through, Moria sent more of his zombies to surround us, before a huge stream of water went in front of us, onto the Zombies.

Eyes widened, and Luffy and I turned to Jimbei, who landed beside us. "Jimbei!" I spoke, smiling, as he turned to Moria. "If I remember correctly, Moria, your zombie soldiers can't take salt." Moria's eyes widened with shock as Jimbei turned to us. "Luffy-Kun, Y/n-san, let me handle them!"

I nodded. "Got it, be careful." Luffy smiled. "Thank you!" As we continued forward, he ran to follow me, and Jimbei turned to Moria again.

As Sengoku grew annoyed watching us, the marines were shocked that Jimbei was with us. "DON'T LET THE ROOKIES GET AWAY WITH THIS WAR!" With his words, A Giant stood before us, causing us to stop as I looked up at it. "GOT IT! I'M GONNA CRUSH THEM UP!" He lifted his giant club, and I quickly Zoomed, moving Luffy out of the way. As I jumped high in the air before his club hit the ground, his eyes widened in shock as I wasn't there.

My face was blank, my wig staying on my head and blowing with the wind as I zoomed to him, as I was right in front of his face.

Getting ready, my arm went back, and my face turned serious. "NORMAL....PUNCH!!" My left fist slammed into his face as wind and some energy came out of me, blasting throughout the area. Shocked from the amount of current, Luffy, as well as some marines and pirates, covered their eyes with debris as I pushed my fist more onto the giant, his body soon exploding.

Eyes widened, Buggy and Mister Three's mouths widened as blood splattered everywhere, concrete exploding while his guts fell down, as some marines and pirates took cover, others vomiting at the sight. In contrast, others just pissed their pants, as I landed on the ground simply, not a single drop of dirt or blood on me.

Ace's mouth was wide open, but Sengoku's was broader, as he and Garp could not believe how I defeated the giant with just one punch. "H-How..." Garp gulped, underestimating a girl like you, as Whitebeard saw the whole thing, not fearing but showing emotion of proudness, as a smirk was on his face. "I underestimated the brat...she's stronger than she looks."

Kolby, some of the Admrials, and even warlords were shocked as they all eyed me, as my eyes were darkened. "Send all the fucking people you want ... kiss ass..." I spoke, looking up at Sengoku. "BECAUSE NO MATTER HOW STRONG YOU THINK YOUR MEN ARE!! I WILL ALWAYS BE STRONGER, AND I WON'T STOP UNTIL ACE IS OUT OF THOSE CHAINS!!" I snapped, Sengoku's teeth gritting with mixed fear and annoyance as he knew he had to be careful about the men he sent to me.

But, my words didn't affect him; it affected some of the Warlords, as a particular blonde male with a devilish smile chuckled, his outfit looking like he came from a local Zoo. "Man...that's what the marines were saying when describing her as powerful; I'm glad I got to see it in person...just one punch took one of us out, yikes...she's also cute too, with that serious look onto her face FUFUFUFU~ Am I right Mihawk?" A swordsman beside him glared at me, slight sweat dripping down his forehead as the cross on his neck glimmered. 'This girl...is strong....' He thought as he misunderstood me as well but kept his composure. 'No normal human woman like her can do what she just did..and she didn't even change a shade of emotion when killing her opponent; there's not even a scratch or ounce of blood on her....they're fools if they aren't going to be serious now.' Thinking more, the male leaned closer to Mihawk with the same stupid grin."Aww, come on, why the blank face? I know you watched her too; you gotta be impressed with this mystery girl, huh?" The blonde's question made Mihawk glance away. "She just got Lucky; we need to up our game now that we know her true power. Besides, I'm no fool like you to fall for the opponent at hand, flamingo." The man laughed again. "What can I say? She's adorable, trying to be all serious after she punched that giant to death., but we both know under all that adorable exterior, she has a strong demeanor; sucks we are on the opposite side...."

Ace's heart races as your body shines in the sunlight, as did buggies, as your eyes still were glued to Sengoku, no one attacking you right away.

"Marco," Whitebeard spoke as the pineapple turned to him, smirking still. "We can't let that brat or the kid die." He said as Marco nodded, impressed with my attack, too. "Alright." He simply stated, looking to the battle as I was still standing there, marines soon starting to charge at me.

"GET HER AND THEM!!" A marine yelled as Ivanka's crew and some pirates from Whitebeard and Impel Down surrounded me as we all charged toward each other, continuing the war.

Some cannons fired at Whitebeard, which he easily deflected, as everyone continued to fight alongside you and Luffy, protecting and wanting to help save Ace.

It was a madhouse again, and Ace even felt more guilty, his eyes looking to the floor.

"Slash him to pieces!" Someone ordered marines heading to Luffy, and he easily dodged them, taking them down, as well as us, until they started firing cannons, which made Ivonka's crew scatter.

Me and Luffy still ran for it, towards Ace, I deflected the cannons with my fist, as Luffy just blew up like a balloon, both of us reflecting them back to where they came from.

Buggy and Mister Three were impressed, but instead of Luffy, they were watching me with a red face, but lined with slight purple with how powerful I was, some of their allies getting pissed I was getting the attention.

"Buggy! Let's show the world how powerful we are!" One spoke, another one agreeing with the pirate. "Yeah! Let's go to Whitebeard and defeat him!" Many thoughts ran through his head if he managed to beat Whitebeard, wondering what his thoughts would be.

Will you think he's strong? Will you think he's arrogant? No, No, maybe handsome or scared. His thoughts were running wild as a derpy smile pressed his lips, thinking of the reactions you may make.

But, as Buggy was thinking those things, Whitebeard's fleet was still moving forward, trying to get to Ace, as a certain captain Squidward was gone, as Whitebeard got some other fleets to bring the pirates to full force, as he wanted them to Sink the navy ships.

They agreed and followed his orders.

Confused about why all the pirates, except Ivanka's crew, moved left and right, away from heading to Ace, you and Luffy ignored it, as you two continued forwards.

Ivanka's crew struggled against the Marines, they being quite strong without devil fruits as you all did your best to power through.

But, it seemed the marines surrounded us more and more until a familiar voice was heard. "DEATH WINK!" A powerful blast was in front, marines scattering everywhere, and Luffy looked behind to see Iva-chan all healthy and well. "IVAN CHAN!" I smiled as she landed in front of us with her usual smile. "Can you help us clear the way to Ace?!" I asked, turning to Jimbei as well. "Jimbei! Can you help as well?" He turned, and both nodded while more marines charged at us.

Jimbei got an instance. "Fishman Karate!!"

Ivanka got in stance, too. "DEATH!!"

Luffy flew his arms back. "GUM, GUM!!!!"

And I shot up in the air, forming a tight fist with my left hand. "FIST POUND!!!!"

"5000 BRICK FIST/WINK/BAZOOKA/SMASH!!!" We all attacked our special moves, causing a big blast/explosion in front of us, scattering all marines who stood in our way.

It allowed us to clear the way, as Ivanka. Yelled to move forward; as we did, my eyes locked on Ace again. 'We're coming...Ace...' I thought, never leaving my Gaze as a marine captain grew annoyed. "STOP STRAW HAT AND THE OTHERS!" made Moria step before us, laughing. "MUGIWARA!!! I WON'T LET YOU GET THROUGH-EH?" He paused when I jumped in the air to him, and I slammed my fist into his face, causing the warlord to launch back pretty far, not allowing him to do anything.

As he gritted his teeth while landing, Jimbei ran to me. "Go Y/n-san! Don't waste any time! I got Moria!" Unsure of how safe it is for him to fight this guy alone, I knew Luffy needed my help to get to Ace, so I nodded. "Right, be safe, thank you Jimbei." I ran past, heading to catch up to Luffy.

But, my eyes widened when a devil fruit user, who seemed to possess smoke, attacked him with his weapons; as my eyes widened, Ivanka called to him.

The man who attacked him was pretty handsome, as his hair was spiked up slightly, he had cigars in his mouth, and a jacket only hugged his torso, which revealed his abs.

I don't understand why people show off their bodies like that, but I knew this guy was a marine, as his jacket red 'Justice' on the back.

Luffy went to his second gear, attacking him with his arms. Gatling attack, which the man was able to avoid as he was able to launch in the air, before a woman with a sword was about to slice him, until I quickly went in front of Luffy, as he disappeared and I bit the woman sword, breaking it with my teeth.

Her eyes widened with shock, fear lining her face as she looked at me, The man Noticed too, but was cautious as Luffy was now behind him, giving the man the same attack, as he dodged it into the air.

But, more smoke arose from his body, forming long lines to Luffy, taking the shape of tentacles, which he got a hold of as he was now on Luffy, pressing his weapon against the boy's throat slamming him into the ground.

"Luffy!" I yelled, worried as I hit the girl's weak point with my hand, causing her to pass out as I bolted to the both of them, the Marine sensing as he glanced my way, launching smoke at me, as I dodged it quickly. "LEAVE HIM ALONE!" I snapped, slamming my fist into his cheek; he got knocked back but landed and slid on his feet.

Gritting his teeth with annoyance, he should have deflected your punch easily, as it would have had no effect, but as his eyes looked at you, you showed anger and blankness as you stood in front of Luffy.

"You the girl they were describing.........you were able to punch me, that usually never happens...who are you, Kid?" My fist and teeth clench. "It doesn't matter who I am!! Ace's life matters, and I won't let you or any opponent get in my way because..."

Looking up from the ground, my eyes darkened, and glaring at the man, as I got instant, ready to fight my first person with real powers.

"FAIRNESS CAN BE BROUGHT TO GOOD PEOPLE! NOT THE ONES WHO PICK ON THE WEAK!!"

Author: Sorry if it was short today; wanted to get something out before my motivation was lost. Another chapter should come out sometime next week, but work has been so crazy, so I have no idea when I'd be posting another chapter of this. The OPM Webcomic in 2023

This is late: it's deleted itself three times, damn!

By the Numbers

There is a reason I call ONE the bad boyfriend. He’s exciting, unpredictable. Swans up, love bombs us with interesting webcomic updates, then ghosts us for months and we can’t say anything as we see him gallivanting around working on other things… and just as we start giving up, he’s back! It makes everything he gives us feel extra precious.

On the other hand, Murata is the good boyfriend. Steady, reliable, shows up when he says he will, lets us know if there’s been a change of plans, and we often have an idea of what to expect from him. It’s easy to start taking him for granted, or even to feel entitled, but that’s a mistake.

So, after ghosting us all of 2022, ONE has returned in 2023 and given us 8 updates! All have been between 16 and 20 pages long.

By the Story

The only game in town is genocide

The problem that Genos has is that he is so very easy to dismiss. He has come to us with wild stories about out-of-control cyborgs destroying absolutely everything in sight, improbable survivals, mad scientists, and blood quests. In a world that is to all intent and purpose a sober, serious, modern world. One that yes, is plagued by monsters, but where apocalyptic destruction by cyborgs is nowhere in sight. So it's easy to think less of what he's got to say. His stories since have only gotten wilder and more improbable… only they're absolutely true.

Finally, the truth of what Genos has been saying, and the thing he's been desperate to prevent, is evident. And it's too late to say that he's right. I'm going to stop here for a second to invite the reader to consider what it takes to kill. Go to a mall with a gun and shoot at least one person? Easy. Shoot and kill at least one person? Probably not too bad. Kill several? Harder. Kill EVERYONE given that there are lots of exits? Are you kidding? It would take sustained bombardment, not a guy with a gun. We see in OPM world that scary and terrifying as monsters are, the death toll they inflict is much smaller than you'd initially expect, even allowing for the presence of heroes. It is really, really hard to kill a lot of people -- people don't sit still and wait for death. So for one individual to walk into town and leave nothing standing and no one alive is an extremely deliberate action of incredible violence. Back to the story. Now, we're no longer talking about the extermination of one town full of people. We're seeing the simultaneous, systematic destruction of multiple entire cities.

Not a single one of the owners of these voices is left alive.

Against such evil, who can prevail?

Well, heroes will, of course. But what's this? Something a couple of Neo Heroes (Ryomon in an interview and Accel when he pressed a suit onto Mumen Rider) said earlier on in chapter 138 about pro-heroes getting culled is coming to pass literally. We've seen for a while that the Neo Heroes appear to be on scene first to deal with monsters. Appear to have the right tools to defeat the monsters effortlessly when it's a brutal struggle for the pro-heroes. Child Emperor has been giving the situation the side eye for a long time as he's noticed that many of those monsters appear to have been modified.

Now it all comes together. While the robot army appears largely hapless in front of the Neo Heroes, it's a different story for the Pro Heroes. The S-Class heroes are managing but the other pro heroes are being overrun. Lightning Max gets not just targeted, but his feet, his specialty weapons, shot out from under him. Fortunately for him, Mumen Rider, no, sorry, Neo Mumen, comes to his rescue. Some other heroes are not so lucky: Bun Bun Man is killed. :( As the surviving pro heroes note, this is a systematic slaughter.

Things are no better at Hero Association HQ. There is nothing half-assed about the robots being sent to target them: at least four million mill around, hemming in the few heroes there and preventing any help from reaching them. Not that there will be help coming their way...

It's a different story for the Neo Heroes. They're working hard to save people, but increasingly, we realise they're in no danger. Even when they can't cope with the robots, all that happens to them is that the robots blow past them. Webigaza is so outraged and stricken by the sight of the neighbourhood she grew up in being obliterated that she pushes herself far too hard -- we hope someone grabs her before it's too late for her.

There is one hero who doesn't appear to be working. Drive Knight appears to be just robot spotting. Maybe he works when we're not looking but he seems to be just enjoying the show.

And what about the people who aren't heroes? Well, anyone with the means to fight back is being targeted too: a group of vigilantes who sometimes take out monsters were eliminated first thing. The Machine Gods are also active, targeting S-Class heroes and powerful individuals like Garou (yes, he's found another job!) and Sonic alike.

Why? Ah, you'll have to see the next section.

In war, truth is the first casualty

A lot of what's happening isn't entirely surprising to us as readers having the luxury of seeing things from high up, but our knowledge doesn't matter. It's how the characters within the story, particularly the characters with the wherewithal to do something about it, make sense of what's going on.

As you might imagine, the tables being tipped in favour of the Neo Heroes means that they're getting cheered on by the general public while the pro-heroes, even those strong enough to make a difference, are increasingly scorned.

The Machine Gods have no trouble explaining what's going on, if you care to ask them a direct question. Zombieman willingly allows himself to be beaten down and be taken to their headquarters to find out. Eguro tells him that in the new world, humans won't have their pesky free will and will thus be happy. They're here to capture and eliminate or reform the 'irregularities,' the exceptionally strong individuals capable of giving them problems.

Elsewhere, we have Genos going through Metal Knight's laboratories. As of the end of the year, he'd gotten through the first one.

Someone else with beef with Metal Knight is Child Emperor. He has finally put together the source of the robots and goes to confront Metal Knight. We leave off without a conclusion, but what transpires is interesting. Reasoning that it's unlikely that Metal Knight would be so careless as to leave his fingerprints on the robots now attacking the world, it's likely that someone is trying to frame Metal Knight. However, his erstwhile mentor isn't off the hook. Has he abandoned his humanity in an attempt to finish an uncontrollable AI?

We leave off with a tense standoff between Isamu and Bofoi, the old man giving nothing away as he faces off against the increasingly agitated boy.

No idea when ONE will return to this. No idea if Genos will crash the party before we can get those answers.

When you chase sweetness, you drink antifreeze

McCoy is at the nexus of the great deception. His help was instrumental in undermining the Hero Association, stealing data and plans, helping recruit pro-heroes and give vital information on manipulating those heroes. As the attack has progressed, he has been having increasing misgivings. He wanted money and the sweet benefits of enjoying a top position with a hero organization. But he never intended to facilitate evil. He's greedy, not evil.

Everywhere he looks, things are increasingly suspicious. Starting with Mr. Fuzzy, whose precognition appeared to have mysteriously failed just when it would have been most useful. What if he isn't actually a psychic at all? The implications are bothersome, but they fit all too well with the rest of the occurrences. The cold refusal to help the Hero Association in any way, not even to save them. The way the Neo Heroes have been stockpiling fuel, raw materials and an insane quantity of weaponry. The way the two wealthiest heroes have mysteriously started preaching becoming cyborgs and giving away their manpower and wealth to the Neo Heroes. The way he McCoy is being pressured to become a cyborg himself as the way Mr. Fuzzy puts it, there's not going to be a place in this world for anyone who hasn't accepted his (Fuzzy's) implementation of cyborgization.

We end 2023 with the sight of McCoy scrambling in vain to try to get either Superalloy Darkshine or Metal Bat to help. The former refuses and the latter is locked up in a self-healing prison. McCoy tries to retrieve Metal Bat's original metal bat, but he's caught by A and Ryomon. The sweet juice he sought to sip now turns out to be poison. Poison that he notes is going to kill a lot of people. Including himself.

I'm praying 2024 sees this arc reach its climax and end! Pray our Bad Boyfriend is in a generous mood this year.

when i first made that post i ended up having a whole conversation w a friend trying to make sense of why ppl kept comparing it to One Punch Man & eventually ascertained that people were interpreting 'I promised I'd go to a little league game' as 'Billy is going to play little league' rather than 'Captain Marvel is going to make an appearance at a sporting event' which is how it was supposed to read

as I understand it the joke in One Punch Man is that he one-shots people and then goes home to do mundane shit? whereas the joke I was going for was Captain Marvel one-shots S-tier threats and then goes back to being a local superhero. in retrospect i should have gone w something like 'I have go to and rescue a cat from a tree' as that might have got the point across a bit better? but genuinely unless i am wildly misunderstanding what OPM is like, i was going for an entirely different vibe

2. What’s your total Ao3 word count? // 866,977

3. What fandoms do you write for? // Mainly TMA the last few years; previously, I wrote a lot of OPM fic. I'd say those are easily my two 'biggest' fandoms in terms of being actively involved and writing fic for them. I'll also write fic of other things I enjoy though, so I have a lot of one-shots and short series for other things too!

4. What are your top five fics by kudos? // Sticking with TMA fic for this one, so:

What Lies Beyond the Frame (rated G, jmart) — A minor AU where I give Jon a new Beholding power, letting him see through his glasses when he's not wearing them. One of my earliest works for the fandom! I'm actually surprised to find it at the top of this list.

off-the-clock assistance (rated E, jmart) — An AOB fic taking place during the iconic Martin Living In The Archives era. I wrote this after realizing that other TMA smut fics had taught me I actually DO enjoy fisting as a concept, lol.

The Kissing Game (rated T, jmart) — A lighthearted, Christmas-y fic where Jon, Tim, and Sasha get into a competitive little holiday game of trying to catch Martin under the mistletoe. This one was very fun to write and I quite like how I ultimately wrapped it up.

A Friendly Favor (rated E, martim) — An AU where Tim and Martin are friends with benefits! I used to be very into martim when I first got into the fandom... I do still enjoy them, but we all know where my main focus/energy ultimately started going hehe. This one ended up developing into a tiny series of fics in the same setting.

Sizing Up (rated E, jmart) — Wherein Jon discovers that Martin is a size queen. This one was based off a stupid little comic I drew and is probably the closes I've gotten to writing a 'crack fic', though I wouldn't call it that - it's more in terms of the Energy I brought to writing it? Just doing something with a very silly base concept but taking it (mostly) seriously.

5. Do you respond to comments? // I do sometimes, if I feel like I have anything worth saying! Sometimes I'll respond with a simple 'thank you' or variation thereof if someone says something particularly nice though ;w;

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? // Kind of a difficult question honestly... I don't really write 'angsty' endings to my fic, even if they do have a darker tone or a lot of angst in the middle somewhere; I'm not really a hurt-no-comfort guy. I also think it's hard to say whether an ending is angsty because it can kinda depend on the perspective of the character(s) and I'd say generally, when I'm doing things as I intended, even if the ending is a bit dark, that doesn't ring as angsty to me?

If I HAD to choose one... maybe when the dream ends, a very old, Sans-centric Undertale fic I wrote where he experiences disorienting dissociation and deja vu of other timelines post-pacifist ending. It has a hopeful conclusion, but still leans heavily on his feelings of detachment, vague depression, and anxiety from feeling like everything around him is impermanent and repetitive.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? // Hm, approaching this in terms of fic where the happiness of the end feels earned, that'd probably go to The Taste of Midnight, my witch!Jon AU fic where he has to save his town from a disastrous force (with Martin's help). The final chapter, once the plot is resolved, is very idyllic and fluffy - a nice, pleasant conclusion for all the dramatic stuff that happened!

8. Do you get hate on fics? // I've gotten hate on a fic ONCE, as far as I can remember! It was for Deep V (rated E), a fic where Jon is trans and has dysphoric feelings about his chest, but decides he wants to try improving his relationship to it via kink. I made the mistake of openly asking for feedback on it when I posted it, and one of the more well-known assholes in the fandom (which I would learn after the fact), left a very nasty comment on it basically scolding me for even having written/shared it in the first place. Luckily I got a lot of useful advice and more friendly feedback/encouragement from much cooler people in the fandom, which was very nice and helped keep my feelings towards the fic largely positive! A harrowing but imo good learning experience in the end.

9. Do you write smut? // Yup! I have for a long time. It's generally my favorite kind of fic to read as well as write, though my tastes have been refining the last couple of years. I could write a whole big thing on my feelings about smut fic but I'll refrain this time!

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? // I don't think I've ever written a crossover fic! Right now, the closest I've gotten is vaguely contributing too (and loudly supporting the creation of) a Murderbot/Among Us fic my roomie started a year or two ago. Which I need to continue yelling at them to publish... hehe.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? // Boy I sure hope not!

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? // Yes, actually! Someone asked for permission to translate my OPM fic The Apron (rated E) into Russian! This is wild to me.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? // Yes, I'm actually co-writing one now with my friend V! It's an edited version of a long-going Jondaisy RP called Open Door (rated E). It's been a fun (if slow-going) project; it's an interesting challenge to go through an RP where we're each playing one character's part and try to edit it into a state that makes it more natural to read for others.

14. What’s your all time favorite ship? // Jon/Daisy!!!! You might want to call recency bias, but they are simply Everything To Me that I've ever needed in a ship, actually, it's kind of insane how much of a hold they've taken over me. I look back on my older ships and I enjoy them all very much, but nothing hits the way jaisy does. I fear nothing else ever will... they're my true OTP...

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? // I have quite a few... A lot that I really want to go back to... Probably my most ambitious and least likely would be And Only Space Stood Between Them, which is an unfinished Oban Star Racers fic that would've involved interplanetary space travel, worldbuilding for a planet and alien species that was only VERY lightly explored in the anime, two protagonists/alternating POVs, a huge cast of supporting characters, an overarching plot amidst a star-racing competition, and a developing friendship/romance(?) between Eva and Aikka. I had SUPER big aspirations for it, and only got to the 4th chapter, when Eva first leaves Earth to head for his home planet. In a perfect world I would write this space epic..... It is my dear wish that... maybe someday...................

16. What are your writing strengths? // I've been told I'm good at writing in-character, which I greatly appreciate as feedback and dearly hope is true. I personally think I'm actually pretty decent at naturalistic dialogue, which I often hear is a difficult aspect of writing for folks. I think I'm generally good at pacing too, and I'd like to say that descriptive imagery is a solid strength of mine, though that's an element of writing often subject to taste...

17. What are your writing weaknesses? // I have no idea if it's a real weakness but I often get self-conscious about my writing being boring or repetitive or trite or something, despite people telling me this isn't the case when I've asked. I think it's just a case of, despite how long I've been writing, I'm still relatively young and have a lot to learn; I'm still finding my confidence in my unique voice and what I'm good at.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? // At the moment I only feel comfortable dabbling with the inclusion of Spanish, and only because I've been actively trying to learn it for a year. Even then, I basically only use it if I'm writing something with canonically Spanish-speaking characters. As a reader, it's something I really like to encounter when done well! Especially as a way to explore a diverse headcanon for a character.

19. First fandom you wrote for? // Pokemon!

20. Favorite First fic you’ve written? // (I actually misread this question, then decided to keep my first answer, because I'm so bad at picking a favorite fic! Honestly!)

Anyways, in terms of my first fic: it was a Pokemon fic with no main title. It's about a girl named Kim with a Charmander starter. She visits a pokemon center after adopting an abandoned and injured Growlithe, only to realize the center has been infiltrated by Team Rocket, who attempt to steal the Pokemon being healed there. I have an original, printed version of this fic in my stuff somewhere! I've daydreamed about making a comic out of it while keeping all the original narration/dialogue.

Random question but do you have a fav anime/manga art style? Or a least fav?

Keep in mind idk art terms (I only recently got into sketching and watercolor and idk WHAT the fuck I'm doing lol)

So I really love the shading in older stuff like Cowboy Bebop and that era of anime. I can't describe it but the muted color palette and way backgrounds were done back then especially make my eyes happy.

Also speaking of more muted subtle color palettes, I like Naoki Urasawa's art style and I love the anime adaptation of Monster. I also like Pluto but the fire effects look so fucking stupid, I get the effects are meant to clash with the 2D style but I hate it so much, it looks like someone making a YTP and using Adobe Premiere for the first time and it almost ruined the anime for me. All the tension in a scene crumbles when I see those stupid CG effects. But Monster is so pretty to me. I also appreciate Urasawa giving his women actual noses and like. Personalities. Eva Heinemann is one of my favorite female characters in anything, and it helps that she's a bitchy trainwreck who flips the gender dynamics of mysteries by giving HER *SPOILERS* a murdered significant other that fuels HER story as opposed to a women fueling a male character's manpain.

I like the weird wonky art style of Mob Psycho 100 and Chainsaw man, where the wonkiness kind of works to its advantage and can convey expressions just by being drawn Like That. It isn't bad but there's something about the weird expressions in CSM especially that kill me when something funny is happening.

Mob Psycho's anime and the first season of OPM are beautifully animated and MP100 perfectly adapts the original manga style. It keeps the spirit of the original panels but also adds so much stylization and all of the action sequences are gorgeous.

I also like the weird/wonky style of FKMT'S comics like Kaiji and Middle Manager Tonegawa, and the anime adaptations are also examples of great adaptation imo.

Sometimes I'm annoyed by the dehydrated look that JJBA has in the later parts, especially around the arms, but Araki's colored panels are so gorgeous to me. My favorite parts are 4 and 6 and I'm not in love with the manga style he had for faces in Part 4, but the anime looks perfect to me. Look at this boy. His face is perfect.

And yes this includes the piss-yellow sky because I like the color palette of the DiU anime a LOT. Since a lot of animators work on the Jojo anime, characters can look really different between episodes and even between scenes, but I love the way Jolyne looks in almost all of Part 6 when she has a fuller face. And the color palette of Stone Ocean's anime took a bit for me to get used to since the colored manga has a vastly different shade of green for her, but I really like Yellow-green Jolyne and how she stands out while complementing FF and Hermes's green shades.

You can tell by this list so far that I usually like wacky bullshit and artists that just do whatever they want. As far as pure lovemaking for the eyes, I adore shit like Mononoke where texture is king and every shot is pure ecstasy.

I also love Berserk's art style and I'm lowkey amazed Miura's assistants are able to replicate it so well considering his insane attention to detail. Even when displaying grotesque and sometimes misogynistic horrors, every spread of this series is a masterpiece. I also can't believe that he was able to give a skullfaced character so much emotion and expression (subtle, but still there) despite the fact that because he is a fucking skeleton, Skull-King's face can't actually change. This page makes me choke up just looking at it. I choked up while searching for it on Google for fucks sake

Speaking of skeleton characters I love, I like the flatter look of Skull-Faced Bookseller Honda-san, one of my favorite manga of all time! The way the mangaka personifies all his employees is just so cute looking to me, and I love the color palette of the covers and the anime.

And while I give Ohba's writing a metric ton of shit, Obata's art is so pretty. When I think of the trinity of "Mangaka who draw peak fashion", it's Araki, Obata, and Tite Kubo. If I was not a suburban white woman, I would say that they give their characters tons of drip.

Genos and Saitama's Getaway(?) to the HA Mountain Lodge

Aright y'all. So, I was re-watching the special episodes for OPM, specifically the Season 2, Episode 6 special, when I thought of something.

At the start of the episode, Child Emperor, Zombieman, Darkshine, and Metal Bat were apparently on the hunt for a monster in the mountains, but needed to take shelter in a mountain lodge to escape the blizzard going on. When they arrive, they see that Genos, Saitama, and Flashy Flash are already there. CE makes a comment along the lines of "Flashy practically lives up here."

But why the hell were Genos and Saitama there?

Ruling Out

CE specifies that only four S-Class heroes were sent to deal with the monster, including himself. And later on, Saitama asks if Sonic (when they restrain him) was the monster they were looking for. Meaning, he had no clue there was a monster near the lodge, which would in turn mean Genos was not aware as well and that he was not part of that search party, as he definitely would've told Saitama about it. So that removes the possibility of being there for that reason.

Sonic's Appearance

Then there's Sonic's arrival. When he sees Saitama, his words imply that he hadn't run into the lodge until MB, CE, Darkshine and ZM appeared. But he'd apparently been training in the area. He likely took no interest in the lodge until he saw the heroes show up—weird, because he definitely would have if he knew Saitama was there. Meaning he didn't know he was there. Where am I going with this? Saitama and Genos were likely there at the lodge before Sonic showed up in the mountians, and thus have been there for a hot minute.

Attire and Items

Now: Saitama and Genos' clothes.

I mean. Do they look like they were dressed for hiking in snowy mountains? (Granted, Genos doesn't get cold or catch sicknesses, but Saitama can and that's one of Genos' big concerns throughout the episode. I highly doubt he'd have let Saitama come with him/go to the lodge dressed in shorts and a thin-looking OPPAI t-shirt). There's also a brief shot at the start of the episode with 2 jackets on the couch and a pair of skiboards/snowblades.

However:

1) Jackets cover the torso, not the legs. There's no explanation for Saitama wearing shorts unless he changed. And, in order for him to change, he would've needed to have already had clothes prepared (packed?).

2) The skiboards/snowblades could be an explanation, but why only one set? Genos likely can't ski without a personalized set, I know, but knowing him, he would've put in the effort to join Saitama anyway. That, and the blades look like they were going to be used, not have been. I mean, used snowblades would surely be dripping with melting snow if they were touched, but the blades were against the couch (see screenshot below). Saitama doesn't seem like the type to just put wet, snow-covered skiboards against a pretty nice and dry couch. (Also: Flashy Flash was there, and throughout the episode he was going through a whole beauty routine. There's a chance he could've been skiing instead).

Genos' Clingy Ass

Why the hell was Genos, upon discussing room arrangements, quick to jump on to the opportunity of taking the "largest room" with Saitama? As Saitama points out, there are plenty of rooms—enough to house each of them comfortably and separately.

Part of me feels like the decision to share was already decided, prior to MB, ZM, Darkshine, and CE showing up. I mean, Genos and Saitama are already well comfortable with sharing a living space, and Flashy definitely made a point to tell them to leave him alone ("Don't disturb my 'me' time"), so it's not like it would've made anyone uncomfortable. Any of the three, at least. (Which brings into question why Saitama half-protested sharing a room. Personally, I believe he felt the others would've been a bit too interested in why he, (at the time) a B-Class hero and Genos, an S-Class hero are so comfortable sharing a relatively small space and just didn't want to deal with that. But, I don't have anything to make a proper guess on it.)

The other part, however, thinks that it wasn't, but instead solely decided by Genos, who'd seen how accomodating the large room was in a prior look around the lodge. Either that or, when the S-Class heroes arrived and the discussion of rooms came up, Genos felt he needed to keep himself and Saitama separate from the S-Class group while similtaneously keeping them together. For what reason? Who knows. Maybe he didn't want to have training talk where the others could hear them, maybe he just didn't want to socialize/interact with them (which, mood there, Genos). Or maybe it's some other suspicious reason.

Whatever it is, it just solidifies the fact they've been there for a while, because either Genos and Saitama were already (loosely) sharing that room, or Genos had a good idea of how large it was after exploring the place.

(Also, I'd like to point out how Genos says it as "Just so you know, we will be taking the largest room." Just thought the finality in his words and his authoritative tone was... interesting.)

Saitama's Stuff

Supporting the point of Saitama likely packing some things, he has his manga with him. Granted, there's a chance the manga isn't his and was just in his room, but the probability of that is small. All the rooms are identical, and none of them had bookcases.

There's also the case of the jackets from before, which are gone in the next shot of the lounge. The skiboards are gone as well, which means all of which were put away.

Taking Out The Trash

Genos makes the passing comment of having already taken out the trash. Which is a pretty Genos thing to do, seeing as he didn't really have to, but it also could hint to Genos and Saitama being at at the place a while. The S-Class group hadn't been there long enough to warrant a need to take out the trash. Not immediately, at least. There had to have been a pretty large amount of garbage which, I shouldn't have to point out, takes a long time to pile, depending on the amount of people in an area/building.

In Conclusion?

Either I'm overanalyzing a plot hole and Genos and Saitama's only reason for conveniently being at the lodge was just to be in the episode

Those two were having a little "getaway" of some kind. What that kind was, I'll leave that up to you to come up with.
