I’m finally biting the bullet and contacting a therapist today after being ambivalent ab it for so long… this hellsite has its many disadvantages but one thing I can say is it has truly helped me be less scared of pursuing therapy. Silver lining etc etc

#And to be clear I have nothing against therapy. I’ve seen it do wonders for other people #I think the reason it’s a point of defeat (just a little) for me to be like ok. I need a therapist. Is bc I’m admitting to myself that I #need one to begin w. And I get it’s not healthy but I always liked to think I could handle anything by myself #That was even the whole point of this blog. It was supposed to serve as a conduit for these feelings #And I’m not saying I don’t have a support system. I do. I have many wonderful friends #But I struggle to be vulnerable at all tbh and whenever I am I’m guilty ab it bc #I understand so many people have busy lives & I feel like an emotional burden on them by venting #Despite them telling me that it’s totally fine. Obvi a therapist is literally paid to listen so no guilt there #And I think that’s what I need #I’m not like on the brink of a psychotic break or anything but it’s just little things. I think it’d be nice to sit in someone’s office for #One hour a week and just go. That did bother me actually. I am tired actually. post-canon every single member of kimcom likes to spoon kim dokja. nonsexually. it's just nice to know he's alive and there and feel his chest rise and fall within the circle of your arms. try to do something stupid now asshole. oh you can't? because of my octopus impression? that's right. take THAT. however i will make one exception for yoo joonghyuk. yoo joonghyuk may want to spoon kim dokja, but he never gets the opportunity because kim dokja wants to spoon him more. so the sleeping arrangement is yjh>kdj>all other kimcom members on rotation. actually i take it back there's one other household member who doesn't want to spoon kim dokja and it's yoo mia, but that's fine because she's one of the only people (besides kim dokja) who yoo joonghyuk would be comfortable spooning. so there's probably times when it's yma>yjh>kdj>today's lucky winner.

incidentally this is also the order for the doing-each-other's-hair train because while yoo mia WILL allow other people to do her hair, no one wants to because she always compares their skills unfavorably to her brother's. and she's really articulate about it. just utterly scathing. one time her criticism was so devastatingly, accurately incisive that she made lee hyunsung cry. yoo joonghyuk spooned him that night to cheer him up and yoo mia was so mad about it that lee hyunsung had to leave the country for a couple weeks. the household learned a valuable lesson that day. it's best not to disturb the delicate spooning/hair-train balance.

I think giving Bakugou the silent treatment would be sooo funny because he tries to act like he’s so unaffected and doesn’t care, but gets so huffy so fast about it.

Tries to goad conversation out of you, before he snaps that he can be silent too, but the silence is too stuffy and overwhelming and he can’t take it. It never lasts long, because he’d rather soon get on his knees and apologize for being a dumbass than go another second without hearing your laugh or seeing you smile in his direction again. And he does, whenever he’s wrong, basically crushes you under his weight as he leans over you so you can look at him, holding your cheek and jaw in his warm hand.

And you accept it, with a pout and a slight scold, before pulling away from him. But Bakugou can’t have that, can’t believe that you’ve really forgiven him if you haven’t kissed him or bitten his nose yet.

“Where’s my forgiveness kiss?” he grunts to you, holding your chin between thick fingers, despite you trying to wiggle out of his hold.

“No thanks,” you huff to him, trying to bite back a grin when Bakugou gets all huffy again and frowns and puffs his cheeks up. You lean away from his grip, but he only follows you.

“Cmon, don’t be mean to your boyfriend, give me a damn kiss if you forgive me.” He tells you, pushing and pushing despite your giggling cries of telling him to get away from you. You’re laid flat on your side on the bed, trying to crawl away, laughter bubbling from your throat as Bakugou hovers above you, one hand holding himself up and the other squishing your cheeks in his palms.

“No kisses!” You announce with a laugh, even though Bakugou is starting to descend on you quickly with puckered lips.

“We have to kiss in order to seal your forgiveness, damnit.” He says against your giggling mouth, his lips against your teeth, but he doesn’t pull away. Not until your laughter has to be forced down in order to kiss him properly, the joyous sound taking up the air in the room again when he kisses you again and again until he’s satisfied. He even licks your chin and mouth once he pulls away, just to hear your laugh again, a sound he knows he’ll never get sick of.

i think i officially set my sights on a therapist and i'll be contacting her very soon?? therapy was legitimately not on my 2024 bingo card (or in the cards for me at all) but here we are????

#this blog always had a focus on social science and detangling feelings and experiences. like it's basically been serving as my diary #bc this blog has always been my main outlet for it. i hate talking feelings to anyone irl. it's a bad habit but i hate it #so it was a game changer and helped me grow up sooo much. esp supplemented w other people's experiences. #being raised by a stoic engineer mother who's very much warm but also not very good at feelings at times has caused me to suppress SO much #compounded w being the eldest daughter. like that is a damning sentence in and of itself #tumblr just gave me an outlet for stuff like this. and every social media is essentially a highlight reel of ppl's best moments. #tumblr is the opposite. i've always loved that too whether it was in the form of humor or more earnest posts #could i work through my own issues by myself? yes probably #and my blog will always have that facet even if i get a therapist #but a therapist's input. just a professional's input. will expedite a lot of improvement for me i think #this has been a critical time period for me anyway bc i'm budgeting my whole schedule for once vs being handheld by uni deadlines #and it's just gonna keep getting more and more intense from here bc i'm truly pushing my comfort zone more than ever before #it just feels like the right call even tho i'm lowkey nervous ab it bc i HATE talking feelings in person. #this therapist will not fall for my trying to deflect by asking her about her life. which. usually works on my friends <3 #we will see. a therapy arc is coming very soon basically #p
