Okay! hi hello! I'm gonna be honest I've have Tumblr for quite a while now but I've never bothered to learn how to actually use it so this post is going to be a mess of me just rambling. Please bare with me 🙏.
Ok so for context I LOVE fandom! Like I genuinely enjoy being a part of communities that have similar interests as me. I love fanfiction, fanart, shipping and basically all things fandom based. But I've been pretty much sheltering myself from all the toxicity that can be a part of fandom. I had been living living in a country where tikitok wasn't available which probably contributed to me being sheltered. But as of a few months now I have moved to a new country for reasons not important to this post. After moving I decided 'hey let's get tikitok I want to see what the hype is about' that was clearly a mistake because so many of the post and people I have come by on tiktok didn't understand the most basic unspoken rule of fandom "don't like it, don't read it".
This particularly frustrates me because for most of my life I've never had the confidence to put myself out there and interact with people who are part of the same fandoms as me or have the same ship as me. So when I try to interact with comments or posts for the first time online and all I can see is people attacking each other, complaining about the most miniscule things or being homophobic and/or misogynistic my confidence is immediately drained and I ended up chickening out.
And what I'm about so say is probably going to sound so fucking dramatic and I'm sorry for that but I can't help how I feel (I swear I'mnot chronically living online). This whole first experience of mine impacted me in a pretty negative way (I know I sound really dramatic) but I can't help it being a teenager is hard on it's own but being a female teenager who's part of the LGBTQIA+ community can sometimes be hell. Especially if you're someone like me who as a hard time expressing themselves and how they really feel and end up fixating or relying on certain characters/ships to be able to validate their feelings or just be able to know what it is they actually feel (I know doing this is probably not the healthiest thing to do but I'm a bit delusional so we'll not talk about it now). Being a hopeless romantic who basically lives in their head doesn't help my case either I'll be honest.
I'll stop talking about my feelings and get back on topic now! (Sorry but in my defense I warned you about my rambling 😅) Okay so even tho I've encountered all these unpleasant people and posts I've never once interacted with them negatively in fact I didn't interact with them at all I just scrolled past because as must as I wanted to strangle the next person i heard saying "goku solos" under a completely unrelated post I knew doing that would not only make me part of the problem I would also be going against the "don't like it, don't read it" rule that I basically live by at this point.
And I know this post is basically breaking the rule but I really couldn't help it. It's actually baffling to me how people can actually be bitter enough to criticise other people's headcanons/favorite characters/ships/fandoms. Like if your reading fanfiction without reading the tags and you find out it's a omegaverse fic (not criticising anyone who enjoys omegaverse its just not for me)then it's YOUR fault for not reading the tags not the authors for writing about it! Its not their job to specifically cater to you or anyone else they write for themselves and other people like them to enjoy! And if you read the tags and it wasn't included then don't attack the author instead politely let them know to add the tag. And if you read on a website that doesn't have a good tagging system then I'm begging you move to Ao3 it's literally life changing the filtering system may seem intimidating at first but their are youtube video to help you out! And for fanart, or a fictional ship even if it looks criminal (unless its real life people) scroll past it you cant win an argument with idiots. And the same goes for another form of fan media... IF YOU DONT LIKE IT THEN FOR FUCKS SAKE PLEASE JUST SCROLL PAST IT THE COMMENTS SECTION IS NOT FOR YOU TO BULLY AND ATTACK OTHER PEOPLE!!! Learn basic internet/fandom etiquette please 🙏.
And that's all I have to offer for now. Thank you for coming to my TED talk. (NO seriously thanks for baring with me and my unnecessarily long post)

"Do not blame those who are childless, do not criticise them for not having any, and do not boast about having them yourself." -The Maxims of Ptahhotep
“Love your wife with passion. A woman with happy heart brings equilibrium." - The Maxims of Ptahhotep
Imagine woman resisting me, and it’s because what she knows is boring, who she promotes is boring, who she is ok with is boring, and I’m putting them to shame just to bring minstrel. They have to go here and there, but they can’t paint the walls to make it like gentry in a cold world. If they can get in house, what are the men about? You see feminism and Zionism, you see I’m not resisting gays so they just get more radicle, and you see game as game. Imagine fools who don’t get horny, old, and they see me to have haughty silence. They see the slave master that is love, a frantic and savage master, and they put stumbling block in the way because I’m better than them and they make people haughty with the schisms in the church. Servitude is to good for you, Jesus died for your sins, you can eat anything? Now, I’m addressing white nation, just for me to know it was established by Christianity and I’m a better Christian than that guy at the white only gatherings.. yea, I can show a white woman how to be more “white”, just to not be a Christian. Now, she saw me and she was around a bunch of whites who complained as I talked stoics and I practice refraction.. bitch sees imaginary number and starts signs.. and I say if you want to act like we aren’t connected, just to talk to me, stay in that cup with your volume and see you aren’t talking to me.. you are talking to idiots I put to shame, I may not even know of them, you are talking to the dreamers who don’t have plans.. the idiots who are against you and I as I have plans, and their old men are standing with Jews - not ancients. If jews personified the God of Jeshurun, ancients, am I working as I am? Hmm.
Lame ass gerontocracy, with these old people who are inexperienced in wisdom, God, legal, and it’s just them being a cow. I see the path, I see them eating, and it’s all means for them to repopulate, they don’t see the light and they say a star will not remove them. Go figure Enoch, and the contrast of lames who see mutual imprecations.. them standing together as I don’t get the necessary is their best days. They aren’t better than me, they smile to have me in their heads and hearts. They take a picture to think of me, and I only think of them to show you how dope I am. Ebony skin, not white. You see a demoralized race, who teaches me, who I rebuke, and it’s clear why you and I aren’t together. I destroy everything you believe in, everything you resist, to make it about thy master.. the Jew,
Why aren’t we together? You are a coward, you don’t understand two forces fighting for the world in 1930’s, 1910’s, and now you are ruled over by a force as you aren’t going to war in 1941 as the leader is Hitler or Biden in WWIII with Ukraine. Women. Now you see, these old fuckfaces with their awful, pitiful, gerontocracy, they need to go and read some mirrors and see their conduct, their happy, is nothing with their policy.
Me and woman? Why aren’t we together? Fuckfaces want me to raise them to a higher position, but today they uplift spicks and mongoloids just to not talk about the sleeping dragon that is the Confederacy and information that improves the negro or condemns him if he doesn’t want to work, rather it’s high trade or sweeping the sidewalk and picking up trash. Why aren’t we together, me and woman? See what you fight for, see what makes you laugh, see what makes me laugh and see what I fight for. Don’t be like the bitch, I don’t even know her name, she gives evil eye because she isn’t special. Why would I want her, her feet? Well, what about woman who made me into her enemy? Rolling her eyes at me because of women, she sits around and waits for me to talk about her just for her to feel like another woman. I know about passion, is she my wife as proof is talisman? She rolls the eyes. She sits around and waits, but if I walked straight and took a left turn you see my silly and ridiculous.. I just go on this list my tangent, and it’s a straight line.. but I don’t know if I try to kill her, I don’t know if she will pause for five minutes just to become this zombie who needs holy water because she is the undead walking. Get a silver bullet and shoot her in the head. These vampires and zombies, yea, these Jews and these undead people who aren’t living..

I disagree with this take about gf. What’s wrong with expressing your opinion even if negative in a safe space? It’s the same for all public aspects such as roles, films, behavior, interviews etc. I think it’s perfectly normal to not like someone a person you’re a fan of is associated with. What’s not normal is to overstep any kind of human boundaries such as sending hate, death threats, coming after family and friends etc. The whole purpose of a gossip blog is to gossip about mostly personal stuff and I genuinely don’t see how a small group of people expressing their feelings whatever those might be on these “safe spaces” is even affecting a celeb’s life. You can’t expect all people to never have a negative opinion about anything even if it’s about their idol. I know that some people went crazy with Alejandra but at the same time I can understand the overall negativity toward her and Seb’s choice. But not all of the fandom went bonkers and got their pitchforks out. A lot politely expressed their concern. A lot chose to bitch on these kind of blogs and not reach out to her/him at all. I really think a lot of you are fixated on people liking Annabelle when in reality does it really matter? She’s a celeb as well and knows how to handle criticism and has things of her own to be judged by. I’m sure there were people that didn’t like her even before Seb, as there were people that liked her. As for the fandom following her moves closely - it’s what gossip blogs are for. You don’t see Seb fan accounts talking about her 24/7 and these blogs aren’t representative of the whole fandom. It’s so exhausting being on these gossip blogs nowadays bc all you see is anon vs anon like “how dare you don’t like this woman you’re just jealous!@!&!” vs “how much *inserts name here* is paying y’all for you to rent a room up in her ass?@?$!?” Thinking that this type of bs arguments on a fucking tumblr is somehow affecting anything but both anon sides’ blood pressure and thumbs is just laughable. Even raccoon screaming it’s PR and that AW is a gf for hire ain’t affecting anything in Seb’s and for sure not in AW’s life. She’s been called that before 🤷‍♀️ and she’s still fine and still living. I think we should stop looking at any negative thing being said as fans trying to control celeb’s life bc it’s simply not true and everyone (even these fans) knows that and that’s precisely why all these fans can do is talking anons on gossip blogs which is some sort of outlet which isn’t harming anybody but the righteous kind that gets all up in arms about a group of fans not liking a celeb’s gf. That’s my personal take at least. Sorry if it’s long x)
I agree with you of course, but when people (me included) complain about certain stuff as criticising annabelle (in this case) is never about comments like “I don’t like her” or “she is a terrible actress” etc
It’s always about fans who CLEARLY doesn’t like her (and ends up calling her things) because she is his gf. People who try to find excuses for their hate but at the end of the day the truth is obvious.
People who follow every move she makes and do not miss any breath she takes just to then make long ass theory posts bc they once learned the word “beard” or “hired gf”
Of course celebs knows there always will be hate from some people. Doesn’t mean it’s ok. Sebastian quitted instagram, none of his friends posts about him anymore, annabelle, his gf, doesn’t even dare to follow him and Alejandra closed and then limited her comments section. They know, they read, and actually they ARE affected by the hate because they are human beings.

this post is a product of its time
tw: discussion of racism, homophobia, misogyny and a short mention of sexual abuse.
ok, this is basically gonna be a very long rambling post about my not fully developed thoughts on the justification many people give to bigotry when talking about the past: "it was a product of its time"
it would be fair to say, with me being a raging SJW socialist scumbag, that I don't think this is a very good argument and is most of the time actually an excuse to not think about the problems inherent to our society, historical or not, and, by extension, the problems with ourselves. but I do think that sometimes, just sometimes, this can be a valid point, or at least one that raises some interesting questions.
I'm going to cite examples from several pieces of media, but fear not, I'll try to make this as accesible as I can.
so, let's take Star Trek: The Original Series (TOS) as our first case study. this show has, correctly, been called progressive by everyone except for clueless people who don't know much about Star Trek's history, Star Trek's crew, Star Trek's cast, or, frankly, Star Trek. because if you ignore the clear, sometimes in-your-face political history and present of the franchise, I don't think you know much about it at all. I do think you can call yourself a fan if you like it, you may have watched every single episode for all I know. but lots of mental gymnastics are needed to ignore the political progressiveness Star Trek has had since its very beginning.
episodes like Let That Be Your Last Battlefield are obviously anti-racist, at least in their intention. but the episode in question really is "a product of its time," and at the very end fails to uphold its ideals. the episode ends with the two aliens (who are LITERALLY. BLACK ON ONE SIDE. AND WHITE ON THE OTHER. BUT IN THE OPPOSITE SIDES.) fighting each other on their devastated planet, and the crew is like, "oh yeah if they both would give up on their hatred that they both share both of them equally" when it has been firmly established that one is the oppressor and the other one is the oppressed.
Tumblr media
and that's a lot of Star Trek, not just TOS. even Discovery, one of the most recent series, has done Bury Your Gays (and Trans) TWICE (though both times literally rectified it, which is cool). there are episodes of the franchise that are overtly racist, or misogynistic, etc. TOS is lauded, mostly justifiably, as very progressive, especially for the standards of the time. they put a woman of colour as one of the senior staff, for fuck's sake. of course, when you analyse that same character, as with most of their intentions at being progressive, you'll see that she was relegated and sometimes even outright mistreated when she had the potential to be much more. but, at that time, it was a lot.
I had a friend (emphasis on "had") who, after I told him about TOS's both progressiveness and constant misogyny, told me something like "imagine feminists trying to complain about a show from the 60s." so, with unearned spite, he was, in some way, trying to make the argument that it was a product of its time.
you could say Star Trek, all of Star Trek, is "a product of its time" in the sense that it's not always perfect. uh, yes, I would agree. but that doesn't mean people have to accept it. well, I mean, the show is kinda over, you have to accept it's that way. but you don't have to accept that it's not wrong just because it was a product of its time.
H. P. Lovecraft, as another example, was a greatly influential writer whose works still shape a lot of people's ideas to this day. I have only ever read like one of his stories, so don't expect me to have an opinion on his works. but I can have an opinion on what I know about him as a person (he did have a life outside his writing, after all). and, yeah, he was a huge asshole. if you want to know more in depth about the subject, please watch Hbomberguy's video on him: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8u8wZ0WvxI
Tumblr media
but basically, he was incredibly racist & homophobic. some people might even say, "he was a product of his time." well, there are two possible rebuttals to that. the surface level one, and the one that examines why that argument is wrong to the core.
The Surface Level Response to "it was a product of its time": um, no it wasn't. Lovecraft was more racist than a lot of people even in his time. he wasn't just a guy who carried the racist beliefs of his society like everyone else, he was a reactionary who actively thought and discussed how racist he was, and how right he was for being that way. but that's only applicable to Lovecraft. one can't argue the same for Star Trek: TOS, because TOS did try to be more progressive and more anti-racist than the rest of its society. that leads us to the next response.
The Response that Actually Deals with the Fact that No Matter How Progressive You're Trying to Be, Your Failings Can Still be Criticized: the thing is, trying to excuse Lovecraft's or Star Trek's bigotry because they were "products of their times" misses the fact that racism is still wrong, and some people knew that in those times as well. people from these times weren't all naive or stupid or whatever. they had the capacity for rational thinking. they could stop and think, "hey, maybe what we're doing is wrong." and the fact is, some people did. not perfectly, not to our standars, but they did. everyone could have stopped and think. but most of them didn't, and we can criticize them for it. racism, homophobia, sexism, etc. HURT PEOPLE. horribly. massively.
also, even if you agree with the "it's a product of its time" argument, some people aren't criticising people's or work's bigotry: they're explaining why they don't want to experience it.
The Talons of Weng-Chiang is a 1977 Doctor Who serial, and it's one of the show's more racist stories. almost all the villains are Chinese, every single Chinese person is a villain. there's yellowface, slurs, stereotypes, the Doctor speaking nonsense words instead of actual Chinese, and a general belittling of Chinese culture.
Tumblr media
note that I'm neither Chinese nor of Chinese descent. I have been searching for hours for a few posts I've read a while ago (some by people who are of Asian descent) about this episode and I can't find them. sorry.
suffice it to say, even though I love Jago & Litefoot (the audio series and the characters), it's not an acceptable episode at all. but it's also important to remark that, because of it, some people aren't going to want to watch it. sometimes, people aren't saying "the episode shouldn't be this way," which causes others to answer that it was "a product of its time." sometimes, people are just saying, "this is an episode that attacks real people. I don't want to see it. I don't care if it was common in that era to be racist, i don't want to experience it."
however, there is an interesting point to the "it's a product of its time" argument. after all, everything is influenced by its society, for better or worse. and we can't change it anymore. TOS sometimes didn't quite understand the political themes it wanted to explore. Lovecraft was a horrible bigot. Talons was racist towards Chinese folks. and that's that. I don't think we should change the episodes/stories or anything. edit them in any way. that would be, in a sense, changing history. and we wouldn't learn anything from it, about how we can do better.
I think there are two solutions to this:
1. warnings before starting the text: this was done with The Talons of Weng-Chiang. on Britbox, where you can watch Classic Who, this serial has a content warning before the start. that's good.
2. the removal as a whole of the text from some places: I think before applying this one, there should be a lot of thought put into each case. I don't think removing a whole serial of Doctor Who or Lovecraft's stories from anything would be, well, fair. especially on tv episodes a lot more people worked on those, not just the writers and the directors. Lovecraft's writing influenced thousands. we shouldn't erase them or anything. but sometimes, for some cases, we should.
those in the US might seen a Confederate statue being taken down. that is, in a way, a form of removal of a piece of history.
Tumblr media
but that is a good removal. statues glorify. one sees a statue and probably thinks "this was a person worthy of admiration." they should be taken down, maybe even with a permanent mark of why this was done (a plaque that reads "a statue of X was here, but he didn't deserve it because of Y" could be put in place of the statues, for example).
another example is the removal from DVDs of the short episode A Fix with Sontarans, a Sixth Doctor minisode that featured Jimmy Savile, a presenter who was later found out to be sexually abusing children.
Tumblr media
the removal of that minisode is good, actually. it's not a full episode (it's not even Doctor Who). some might say that's "erasing history" but, like, you can still find it online or information about it if you want. this minisode deserves removal from DVDs and Blu-Rays and whatever more than content warnings. it's not an important part of the show and it prominently features a horrible person who did horrible things during that time.
so, after all that, I have explained why I don't like the "it's a product of its time" argument. it is an interesting point that deserves to be examined, but it's not very good.
I have had this in Drafts for so long I've probably forgot some of the points I was going to make, but eh, what can you do? hope you enjoyed reading this.
bye

REVIEW 313
took me some time to actually get into that review lmao But i really loved the episode. I know some people will probably have complains about it, but as someone who absolutely loves Abigael, I really liked it. And honestly the fact that abigael was finally included in the main story is not even the reason why. I loved the pacing, it actually felt like Charmed. The stakes, the construction, the format, it was all on point. It was genuinely their best episode alongside 307 (two episodes related to the tomb lmao) and one of their best in the show imo.
I've put it in "hidden" cause it ended up being so long I did not expect that im sorry 😭
SCREEN TIME
Maggie: 29m20s
Macy: 27m36s
Mel: 25m39s
Abigael: 20m17s
Jordan: 10m32s
Harry: 47s
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not gonna lie, I did not miss Harry this episode. Maybe it's just cause I don't like the way they have been writing both him and Macy this season, way too focused on the relationship, but his story does not really interest me. And I enjoy watching Macy interact with other characters a lot more. I think we could have had a little bit more of Jordan as well.
What I liked
where do i even start. I genuinely enjoyed so many things in this episode.
As said earlier, I really enjoyed the structure of the episode, to me it finally really felt like charmed. The way the episode was done was beautiful and I LOVED the trial in a general manner. They're terrible lawyers, but still loved it lmao
Ok hear me out, the fact they had abigael and macy say what the fan had been saying but reversing the roles was actually sent me lmao
I really enjoyed that they balanced the rights and wrongs of abigael. I'm part of the people who think that overall, most of what she did was not that deep tbh, but the episode allowed to have nuances and hold her accountable for things she did while also recognising that she did good things.
Abigael finally interacting with the sisters. To me, that's the sign of good characters tbh, how they can interact with different other leads/mains and such relationships being interesting. Abimel, i'll talk about it a bit later cause i have lots to say. But AbiMacy ? I absolutely always love their scenes, one of the reasons being that I genuinely think they're the two best actresses in the show and you can really feel it when they're on screen. They have easy chemistry and whatever they are doing, they just work. They also had one of the best potential of the show in terms of dynamic and I will never forgive the writers for ruining this, especially because it's in part because of a man. Anyway, their scenes were amazing to watch and I need more. I was especially happy because let's be honest, if Macy has valid reasons to dislike Abigael, they often miss-portrayed that in the show and it often came across as being mostly based on the whole love triangle between Macy Abi and Harry. But this time it really was not and Macy was quite fair, even reaching the conclusion Abi doesn't belong in there - she does not- and I liked that they actually were fair on Macy's dislike and distrust. Then there was AbiMaggie. Honestly, it's not a relationship i expected to enjoy that much but oh god i love them. I loved them in episode 207 and I still do. They just have such a funny dynamic, I can't even explain it correctly but it just work. They're throwing remarks at each other sure but it's almost in a sweet funny way. Abigael calling Maggie 'Legally Brunette" was so funny and cute at the same time.
Talking about Maggie, I really liked her this episode. I love how she reacts in situations where they need a cold head. She takes the lead, she does what needs to be done and she reaches the goal. I really enjoy seeing her taking that role a little bit more. Especially because to me Maggie was always the one with the most nuanced view on the world which I really appreciate. I loved her speech at the end and she grew so much since season 1, she's really so great. The more we advance in the show, the more she shines.
I really liked what happened at the end with the sisters recognising that they are themselves not perfect and are even chaotic. I have a point about being chaotic for later but anyway. Yes the sisters are not perfect. Honestly, they have done questionable things in the past themselves and often are the cataclysm of new things happening. I think it just makes them more interesting and better characters. Black and white can only get so long. Nuanced, imperfect, that's where the complexity lies and what is more interesting imo.
The perfecti really are good characters. I mean their logic was completely f*cked, but they are so entertaining to watch, it's actually great. I like also that they continued that idea that logic without emotion is dangerous. But in some ways tbh, the Perfecti are not even logical. They want to think they are, but their own logic is flawed and like Macy said, completely lacks context.
Finally the power of three and FINALLY, the plot goes forward. Maybe that's another reason I really enjoyed the episode, the fact that it actually had a good flow, it felt like one constructed episode and it actually advanced the story which cannot be said about a lot of the episodes. So I'm happy that happened.
And finally Abimel. I mean, no one can be surprised Abigael has feelings for Mel tbh, girl has not been subtle about it lmao But that declaration was actually cute and their scene at the bar ?? paralleling the one in season 2, it was so sweet. I just love them tbh, and I really think they could have been the ship a lot of us were waiting for in the sapphic community especially.
Abigael's past. Like I loved learning more about her past and her mom. Obviously her traumatic past does not exempt her from her own actions but I do believe it give strong grounds for redemption. it also gives us a lot of insights in her character. Her mom was an absolute monster and what she did to her was terrible. There is no surprise in Abigael's absolute lack of self worth and her unhealthy coping mechanism. Like her mom basically spent her life telling her she was deficient and then punished her for something she had no control on whatsoever. She punished Abigael for her own action and her own liaison with a demon. She probably projected her anger about that relationship on the child that came out of it and it's absolutely horrifying. Like no wonder Abigael is not fond of witches and went into the demon side tbh. Like that's not surprising at all. It also explains why she was so against the idea of witch = good that the sisters keep perpetuating because that's simply not what she experienced. Again, it does not excuse everything she did but I do believe it helps understand the character better and that ultimately, it gives space for a redemption. And again, kuddo to both poppy and the actress who played her mom. First that was great casting and it was really well played.
Remarks
To be honest, I don't really have things I genuinely disliked so I'm more gonna do like a section where i could criticise some of the aspect which to me did not necessarily made sense but were often still funny, and who knows maybe done on purpose. It's gonna be a mix of a little bit of everything.
One of the first thing I was kinda confused on was their use of the term chaos. Because, well, chaos doesn't equate evil. But that's the angle they started taking at the beginning which to me was confusing. It didn't make the episode bad, but the more I think about it, the more I'm like the defence they were going with had nothing to do with the charges 😭 Like, the sisters tried to prove that basically Abigael was a good person. But the charges were that she was chaotic. and by the end of the episode we did reach that kind of point where they said everyone was chaotic and everything - which i liked - but also didn't really match the angle they took the entire episode. Because, I personally never saw Abi as evil. But she is 100% chaotic like that girl is the definition of chaotic and I love her for it. But her doing good or bad is not necessarily what makes her chaotic. Good deeds can be as chaotic as bad ones. For example, Abi binding her own power could be considered as good by some people (it's not really but you see what I mean) but by doing so, she would lose the title of overlord and therefore end the treaty. In that case the war would start and that would definitely be chaotic. If she was to stay overlord however, and control the demon world, which can be seen as bad i guess, she is keeping the war from happening and stopping attacks toward witches and innocents, which is the contrary of chaotic. So yeah, the angle they took did not actually make that much sense cause the two are not the same.
Not gonna lie, bringing Godrik up was so weird to me cause like he tried to kill her first and they all know it, yet she was the one said to try to murder him and I was like ? did we all forgot what happened ? 😭
Some of the things brought by the perfecti - such as her killing those humans or demons - seemed weird because like, the sisters did the same in the past 😭 But also that's part of the whole lack of context aspect I guess.
No they really used Francesca as a witness out of all the people in the world like the woman is a whole child abuser who asked help to the elders, which have been established as like, not good people lmao I know it was part of the whole the perfecti are very selective on the information they actually take into account and they use the information as well as twist them to fir their own narrative but still it came across as weird because that woman was the definition of evil. But that's also what ticked the sisters so well.
Why did they not call Harry to testify was also kinda like ... weird. I mean at the same time I can't really complain but still, it was a bit odd. Also the fact they never thought about showing what was abigael actually doing with Jordan lmao I mean it wouldn't go along with the plot but still.
Ok, that take is subject to controversy and I know it but anyway : to me, Abi stealing Macy's power was ... not that deep. Don't get me wrong, the story was bad. The execution was even worse. In the show itself tho, objectively, as an act, it was not that bad. It actually made a lot of sense for Abigael to take it for herself. Macy wanted to get rid of her demon powers, no one was forcing her. And Abigael actually asked her multiples times if she was sure. Macy definitely had her reasons to do so. But at the end of the day, Abi picking them up when they were gonna disappear in thin air is really not that bad. It's logical. Don't get me wrong I'm glad Macy is getting them back, but I also think there has been a lot of mix up between the actual act of stealing the powers and the way it was done/optics ( I still don't understand how anyone wrote that scene and was like, yeah kneeling is a good idea ??? Like what's wrong with you 😭). But like ultimately, the act itself is not bad. questionable ? sure. Evil ? really not. Like let's be honest here. Abigael never hid who she was (past ep3 obviously). She did not pretend to be an angel, nor that she was a good samaritan. At the end of day, the sisters knew who she was and how she worked. They came to her knowing this. At some point, there is a need to acknowledge that, she was no angel, but they knew that and still went to her. She said it herself, she is used to fight for herself, and she'll sting to protect herself first - which i personally don't really hold again a character. If you go in bed with a scorpion, you can't ignore the fact there is a chance you're gonna get stung. Plus, when Abigael "stung" she also actually still gave them what they wanted/needed. I personally never saw self interest negating a good action. I don't really care if she gets something out of helping. Like at the end of the day, why wouldn't she take them ? In some ways however I do understand why Macy would be mad, she asked for help and she didn't realise Abigael stole them and she doesn't like abigael in the first place so why would she be ok with Abi taking them. That's valid too. But objectively, it was more a she was offended and mad that Abi herself had them more than a it's a terrible thing to do kinda feeling. So like it's a bit of a weird situation because Macy being annoyed and mad is valid but at the same time, it's really not that bad in itself. But overall that story should have never existed in the first place. And certainly not happen like this.
Abimel. I loved it but I also have issues with it. Mostly based on the fact we learned Poppy was leaving the show. And not gonna lie, I cant stop myself from feeling like it was almost a bit .. baity if I dare say. They had basically admitting having feelings for Mel and low key hoping it could lead somewhere when honestly, if she's leaving, they did not need to make it romantic. Because honestly, watching this episode not knowing she would leave ? You'd definitely could think it's happening, especially with all the other hints in the past. They could have made it like more about how Mel was the one giving her a real benefit of the doubt and they had a connexion and she wanted to be worthy of that. It would not be romantic. Especially cause she admitted caring about all sisters so it would have worked. Again, don't get me wrong, I want the most Abimel i can get lmao but also it feels a little weird. It's complicated. 😭
Jordan is definitely coming back, I just wonder what are going to be the circumstances. I completely understand why my boy needed a break. Like their time in the tomb was long. We don't exactly know how time works there but remember, in episode 7 when the sisters were stuck, the normal time was like what ? hours ? while in the tomb it was days for Maggie. So there it was days in normal time so in the tomb ? could potentially feel like weeks, months even. So yeah, give him a break and some time to breath. I know they're dragging this whole Joggie thing but because of Covid i also understand and will let it go. I really like them tho.
Abi has some alcohol problems I feel like should maybe be talked about. Like she uses it as an escape, as a way to numb her feelings. There is a reason it was used to symbolise her submitting herself to the tomb. And her first reaction after leaving the tomb was drinking. When she feels unhinged or vulnerable ? She drinks ? When she lost the title of overlord ? She drank. Alcohol is her escape which is a bit worrying.
Not about the episode but I think it needs to be brought up. I've seen people trying to say they brought up the abuse storyline for abigael out of nowhere and like. Listen I completely understand not trying to give more thoughts to a character you dislike, that's fair enough. But saying that storyline is out of nowhere is just a lie. The only new elements we had here were the details of the abuse she went through. They showed the clip again in the episode, where Abigael talks to Mel about her mom. She rejected her, she made her felt, deficient, wrong. All that is emotional abuse. She said her mom tried to fix her which can easily be thought about physical abuse. Like none of these things were new. To be honest, not a single thing they clarified/established for abigael this episode does not follow up with what was in the show in the past. Her feelings for Mel were honestly rather obvious at this point. Her not wanting TCO to get hurt ? There is literally a scene where Godrik tells her it's her head or the sisters and she never really even thought about throwing the sisters under the bus. She even asked who knew and it's easy to think it's because if no one knew she could put it under the rug. Again, it's fair enough for people to dislike her to not try to put more thoughts into her motivations or scenes in a general manner, but then you can't really say things are out of the blue.
And most importantly, I'm sorry, I don't care if you dislike the character, but if you dismiss the abuse just because of the dislike, that's a problem. What a character goes through in her past does not, in any way, have to change your opinion about them. Whatsoever. However when it comes to issues like child abuse, the bare minimum would be to be respectful of the subject and not say "she deserved it", "should have done more" or just say you don't care cause that changes nothing. Again, it doesn't have to change anyone's opinion at all and it does not excuse behaviours, but man, minimal respect is not that hard.
Highlights
This episode genuinely had such funny moments, i loved it.
« Is this a hard time to admit I failed debate in high school ? » and « could the defendant keep her commentary to herself » competing with each other for the funniest part of the episode. The delivery was perfect on both part. And Abi and Macy interactions are always so good and them bantering more or less seriously all the time is sending me. Macy was just so annoyed with her, i loved it.
« Need something legally brunettes » I said it already but I loved that little scene between AbiMaggie and that line particularly.
Abigael went from saying "I could care less about any of you" to "because I deeply care about her" followed by a whole ass declaration AND admitting she does actually care about all of them. My girl got absolutely played and it was genuinely so funny. Like Abigael was so freaking smug about testifying against herself and she got played so hard, she was SO annoyed it was actually hilarious.
"Every battle I fought, I fought alone" like excuse me while I'll go cry in a corner. Again, Poppy has been absolutely killing her role this season.
"Your arguments are illogical" the perfecti have such audacity like girl have you heard yourself ? 😭 no one is being less logical than you right now.
Lmao when Macy said Abigael belonged into the tomb, Mel was not agreeing 😭 And Maggie was having none of the drama either she just wanted out.
The sisters realising they had to be Abi's character witnesses lmao it was hilarious pleas idc.
Theories
With Poppy Drayton leaving, there are two theories I kinda have. Obviously Abigael is either gonna die or leave. Ngl, I can feel the dying one coming more but well, that brings the two theories.
Abigael would sacrifice herself. Which I don't like but honestly let's be honest, there are 95% chances of that happening. I could see her sacrifice herself for Mel or for the sisters in general. But that's where my abimel issues are coming. I love abimel. I want the most abimel i can have until the end. But Abigael admitting have feelings for Mel just in the purpose of having her sacrifice herself for her and to be 'worth it' ? that's not only a byg trope, it's also lazy.
If she just leave, which wouldn't really make sense to be honest cause why would she just leave, would she give up the title of overlord (why even) or would they bound her powers (i would hate that) ? but anyway, if that's the case, I could actually see her learn Waverly is not actually the one rejecting her. Waverly could very possibly not be the one who communicated with Jordan and the sisters. No one ever saw her, the letters are only signed by her name. It's a bit sus tbh, so nothing stops it from being Francesca actually impersonating her daughter to keep her away from Abigael.
I want to know more about the perfecti. We know they killed charmed ones before, and it doesn't seem like charmed ones existed when they were created ? Maybe the charmed ones were created after they went into the tomb ? I still am not sure about them going into the tomb by themselves tbh. But also they don't seem to be evil in the sense they want power or whatever, more in the fact like they consider themselves perfect and that if someone stands in their way, they'll just get rid of them.

ive been saying that i’ll be posting receipts on the hetfem server, which was also heavily requested by plenty of people on here. this post is going to be pretty long, so i’m putting it under a read more. keep in mind, this isn’t every single wrong thing that has been said on the server, some may disagree with some parts even being wrong to begin with, and this post may have more added to it afterwards in the reblogs. the individuals who have provided me with receipts were all feeling threatened due to knowing how vicious and prone to harassing others the women in this server often are. so ive been sent countless receipts with context, which i have tried to summarise as well. please remember that the point of this post isn’t to call out specific individuals, but rather it is to showcase that the concerns and ‘rumours’ going around about this server were reasonable and true, and to show how lesbophobic and racist this server is (which many have publicly stated before being dogpiled by members of the server).
first is the zionism and racism in that specific regard. “theHettyishere” is black-diaspora, “Autumn” is probablyaterf. both are partaking in the erasure & justification of how israel is treating palestinians, erasing palestinians proven ties to their country, erasing the war crimes israel partook in, and also erasing the racism within israel which prioritises ashkenazim over mizrahim and black jews.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
then they got more blatant and started saying that if you’re anti-zionism then you’re .. anti-semitic ?? keep in mind these people aren’t even jewish
Tumblr media Tumblr media
then they go onto defending christianity
Tumblr media
and falsely claim hitler ‘deeply respected’ islam. interesting considering hitler called muslims ‘half-apes’ and all but oh well!
Tumblr media
second set of receipts is the defending of blackface and justification of it. in both these ‘debates’, they literally only present one side and then act like they had a great discussion at the end of it when they’re all just confirming their pre-existing beliefs and using one another to support that. anyways, girlsfrommars had previously come under fire for publicly defending the blackface tradition existing in her country, the netherlands. this is her doing it again after backpedaling on tumblr on this topic, and people in the server standing by her. battleking is bookrebelwordwarrior on tumblr.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the conversation kinda goes on for a bit and girlfrommars does the same thing she did on tumblr not long before this convo, which was give a “oh ok i’ll reconsider!” which may not be her truth anyways.
next is people on the server saying straight women don’t have enough good representation and even talking about being upset over bi women and even lesbians being represented?? again, autumn is probablyaterf. laughing bird will appear in the screenshots a lot, although i’m not sure what her url is.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
idk how to tell these het and bi women.... that lesbians have practically no good representation. especially not as much as het women. there’s a lot of parts of this conversation that are highly questionable. tldr its bad if lesbians or bi women headcannon gnc women as bi or lesbians. also its bad if gnc characters aren’t straight.
this next screen is coming from a het woman so keep that in mind. i don’t know how to put into words why i find this iffy so yall can see it and decide for urselves
Tumblr media
she justifies it w this when a couple of members make it clear they find her message questionable:
Tumblr media
on a different occasion, girlsfrommars, a white woman, decides to randomly ask other white women in the server what they think about reparations. a bunch of racist white women show themselves during this conversation. please keep in mind i was not the one censoring their usernames so i myself have no idea who these women are, but the person censored in white is emanon, who has a tumblr. i dont know what her tumblr is, but she will appear in multiple other receipts after this. keep in mind this entire channel ends up being deleted by probablyaterf to cover up the racism and prevent the collection of receipts, which you’ll see evidence of later on in this post.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
then one of the white women dismisses the impact of racism, basically,
Tumblr media
then woc start to chime in (white is the white woman, ‘emanon’)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
then, after this conversation went on for a while, a mod decides to tone-police and shame the woc for taking issue with what the white woman was saying. this mod is also white.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“my race doesn’t matter, but i’m jewish” sounds convenient. especially since this person admitted to being white and stated thats why she should stay in her lane the previous day:
Tumblr media
back to the dispute between LB and the woc:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
remember LB’s tone and behaviour in  the above screenshots as you’ll see how different it is from how she acted when a white woman was being lesbophobic on the server.
probablyaterf eventually comes in with “both sides were bad :)” basically
Tumblr media
girlfrommars makes a non-apology apology about bringing up reparations the way she did
Tumblr media
the next set of screenshots is just.. i dont even know what to say about it? yall can see it for yourselves because i think its self-explanatory. battle king = bookrebelwordwarrior, thehettyishere = black-diaspora, autumn = probablyaterf.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
then the subtle lesbophobia comes in
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
this convo was then moved to a channel that was eventually deleted (receipt of that will be shown on this post).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
probablyaterf then comes in and says lesbians are All saying the things mentioned above
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
then radfemkitten talks about how upset she was and probablyaterf goes on about how this conversation should stop or something
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
PAT then lowkey admits that part of the point of her server is to be able to talk shit about lesbians without being criticised for lesbophobia:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
radfemkitten more or less confirms this
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
PAT basically says “if you think women here are lesbophobic then leave but if you keep criticising what is said then i’ll mute and maybe even kick you!” ok
Tumblr media
after this PAT muted that woman for saying that some of the women were being lesbophobic.
someone showed exactly where lesbophobia was present
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“straight women should have a space where they can shit talk lesbians without criticism” basically ^. this is the 3rd screenshot where members of the chat, specifically the creator PAT, states that the server exists partially so that non-lesbians can say shit without being criticised for being lesbophobic.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this was then said by emanon (racist reparations lady):
Tumblr media
then probablyaterf coddles the women who were upset for being held accountable and kicks out the women who called out lesbophobia
Tumblr media
probablyaterf deleted entire channels which involved members being lesbophobic and racist for the bullshit reason she provided here, basically admitting she would remove things to prevent the collection of receipts:
this is why she is so confident on her blog about how people can’t possibly have receipts on her server. because she makes sure to delete the evidence. issue is, she did it too late. she then started twisting the story and lying to save face. she removed the conversations regarding reparations, separatism, the accusations of racism & lesbophobia, them complaining about there not being enough good representation of straight women, etc were all removed. evidence:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
then it gets even more blatantly sketchy, where PAT basically tells the members of the group to not repeat the drama or dish the details of it, as any honest and open person not hiding questionable shit would do, apparently.
Tumblr media
the details and specifics of this drama were all kept quiet by those involved as well, and those involved agreed to not talk about what has happened in detail.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the bit “one of the members was crying SO MUCH because you called her lesophobic that she almost LEFT HER JOB :(” is funny as y’all can see the situation for yourself up there, she said something and people questioned her on it. this wasn’t a case of a poor defenseless victim being cruelly attacked or whatever.
Tumblr media
“a lot of them do tho clearly” keep in mind that there were like what .. 4 lesbians that took issue with the server? and initially there was even less than that.
radfemkitten then goes onto a lesbophobic rant.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
then they changed the story within the server and claimed that the accusations of racism were directed at woc... when it was directed at white women exclusively, as shown above. keep in mind the person claiming this and putting racism in quotations is a white woman herself so. hmm.
Tumblr media
next incident is some white woman being very blatantly lesbophobic on the server. several people took issue with it, and she received multiple warnings but was not kicked. keep in mind that earlier, someone was kicked simply for questioning a member on the server and saying they were being lesbophobic. yet when someone is blatantly lesbophobic, they receive multiple warnings and then get away with it. “pinkie the feral one” goes by roxxy, i don’t know if she has a tumblr. notice how laughing bird is comparatively very civil and patient with this roxxy person.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
bi & het women determining that lesbians talking about thinking of pussy somehow implies ‘homosexuals are sex crazed deviants’, is what’s homophobic, btw.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
next are when the hetfem server came under fire after TD spoke against it and drama ensued. i was initially 100% for the hetfem server and said those opposing it were being illogical. however, after a while of that drama, some lesbophobia was starting to come out from the hetfems which is when i said i think both sides are wrong. the hetfems took this very personally and proceeded to make lesbophobic comments about how im just bitter bc i dont have a gf or something (altho i was in a relationship back then so lol) and then they blatantly said they dont think het women have power over lesbians. the convo resulted in them full on arguing that lesbians have it easier than het women.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
next coming is the hetfem server arguing that abrahamic religions actually *helped* women and how radfems should be talking about that. keep in mind some of these are the same people that mock people who say islam is a ‘feminist religion’.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
next is them arguing on the hetfem server that Nasime Aghdam, the youtube shooter, is male and referencing a meme as a source. they completely ignored the fact that Nasime’s childhood photos make it pretty obvious that that meme was inaccurate anyways. also probablyaterf argued that it’s somehow racist to note that nasime aghdam resembles many other people in the middle east (somewhere im from & where ive lived my entire life). its interesting considering how many things she argued weren’t racist or homophobic, yet noting that someone isn’t a Weird Unusual Looking Alien like she wants to claim is ..racist
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the probablyaterf goes on to strawman that i claimed all iranians are clones of each other or smth simply bc i said nasime aghdam’s face is not unusual in countries like iran. also keep in mind the person censored in red is a white woman lol.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
henryhetta = foxfur-nadine.
Tumblr media
listen.. ive seen women wearing borderline clown makeup in my country. it doesnt make them male. anyways then PAT says ‘maybe im wrong but ill insist im not anyways’, basically.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
next is the time black-diaspora posted a pic of my mom taken from my country’s gov facebook page, which provides people with her first & last name. this was brought up on the server. they said i was lying (i was not) and went on about how im crazy and need to get laid. also calling me a ‘nigel’ in one of those screens.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
then they just keep justifying it and insulting me. instead of taking issue with what a member of their server did.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
so basically “calling out lesbophobia is bad, but posting information that leads to someone’s mom’s full name and facebook is ok, and somehow posting something from a ‘public news article’”
Tumblr media
then they said “homosexuality is legal in bahrain” to somehow justify any of this??? as if Bahrain doesn’t have a history of killing, imprisoning, torturing, and exiling Bahrainis that they see criticising the government (which i frequently do) or anything. not like around 200 people have lost their lives for critiquing Bahrain’s government or anything. moreover, plenty of things are ‘legal’ in Bahrain but still lead to punishment. sex outside of marriage is illegal and gay people can’t legally get married, for one. and people have been imprisoned in Bahrain for kissing members of the same sex. but whatever i guess. anyways then radfemkitten argues that i sent a picture doxxing my own fucking mother to black-diaspora. so i endangered my own mother and then begged these people to delete the information they posted, apparently?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
sadly, that is the end of the receipts i have on the topic of BD endangering my mom and the hetfem server justifying it and finding ways to blame me for BD’s actions. so i don’t have the bit that confirms how she explained herself to others and justified it, however she did justify and defend it publicly when i called her out on it. BD was not kicked or muted or anything of the sort for what she has done, and as you can see, everyone justified it and took it as an opportunity to insult me. this wouldn’t have been as much of an issue if i wasn’t from a dictatorship and if my blog wasn’t so political. what BD posted is STILL present on another blog and i could not get staff to delete it, so if the information falls into the wrong hands i don’t know what’ll happen to my mother, or even to me.
next is them justifying allying with the right despite their homophobia, racism, etc. keep in mind some of these women reblogged white supremacist propaganda in agreement with it so this isn’t particularly shocking. christmas begins in november = autumn = probablyaterf.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the issue with this, by the way, is associating with a group that is often misogynistic, homophobic, and racist solely to have a slightly larger platform of people who are more or less heavily for gender, gender roles, and more, sends the message that somehow these are ok things to side with as feminists. yall notice how many ‘radfems’ are literally just conservatives who are against some aspects of misogyny or trans people? these are the people you’re roping in a lot of the time. and this makes the voices of radfems easier to dismiss by the left as well. instead of establishing a space in the left, you end up placing yourself closer to the right and effectively putting the success of your movement to a halt.
these coming screenshots are the hetfems arguing het women have it The Hardest in radfem spaces
Tumblr media Tumblr media
separate event is just some lesbophobia, again.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“imagine a straight/bihet woman wondering what the purpose of a lesbian is” go outside. there’s plenty of that. one idiotic woman saying that about bisexuality doesn’t somehow override that.
more blatant lesbophobia in a separate event. note the reactions underneath the text (all in agreement)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
how often have gay people talked about how the stupid “you have equal rights now uwu” bullshit is simply bullshit? this is exactly what men use to dismiss feminists, why do it to dismiss talk of homophobia?
Tumblr media
a bunch of white & het/het-passing women joking about making a straight pride or kkk march
Tumblr media
remember the white woman, emanon, who argues against reparations because “what about poor white people? :(” she comes in with more racism, and some intersexism too! this is her calling caster semenya, an intersex black woman, a man and using ‘he’ pronouns for her. girlfrommars, the white woman keen on defending blackface, comes in to express her agreement.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
then they argue that semenya was raised as a male.. because she refused to wear feminine clothing including in school & because some people thought she was, and thus treated her as such until they realised shes not, a man??
Tumblr media
this is more recent than a lot of the previous receipts. i reblogged one post by radfemkitten a while back, and she was so flattered she felt the need to complain about it on the hetfem server, to which someone replied by likening me to a male hippo from madagascar.

So I guess I’m hyperfixating on Death Stranding at the moment
And since I’ve finally finished the story after playing it for like 100 hours over the course of seven months or so I guess I have Opinions(tm) about things I didn’t like in the game
They’re eating at my brain so I’m gonna put them all in a single post to get them out of my system once and for all so I can enjoy the rest in peace
Spoilers, obviously
Tumblr media
Hi welcome back to ‘Johannes is obsessing over yet another video game with horror elements in it’! I guess!!
Our latest entry in that category was Until Dawn but since UD can be played in like 6/7 hours and I spent 100 hours of my life on DS, as you can guess we’re talking about a full-blown hyperfixation, the kind that physically hurts because I can’t focus on anything else even after having finished the storyline
But it was super gradual. Again, seven months. I barely made any progress from December to May because I was only doing side-deliveries at the beginning of Chapter 3 instead of... you know... advancing the plot. It became an honest-to-god special interest about two months ago, then 6 days ago while playing chapter 10 it reached hyperfixation levels and now I am in PAIN
I hate my brain
Anyhow
At first I wanted to list the good and the bad hings in it but there’s too many good things to list them all in full, excruciatingly long details, so
Very Quick And Very Incomplete List Of Good Things That I Love
It’s a post-apo game based on travel, logistics, and good will, and it straight up goes AGAINST the whole ‘survival of the fittest’ trope that SO MANY post-apo things try to push!! YES
I insist but it’s built on helping each other and keeping everyone alive, seriously that is my shit right there!
The online community is wholesome?? People leave stuff everywhere, you never see anyone but people put little helpful signs and send you likes, and in my game we almost managed to repair all the roads together
There’s so many new & strange allergies and disabilities and phobias in this post-apo world and? nobody is trying to ““fix”“ anyone?? Like Heartman with his padded floor and his little box that brings him back to life constantly. He’s just... living like that. Nobody’s going “hey maybe you should get another heart operation buddy”
The hero and his phobia of being touched. I. Loved. That. The quiet scenes when he was just talking with Fragile, sitting next to her. In any other context this would just be two people sitting next to each other and talking but it always feels so soft and intimate everytime he allows another human being to just. be next to him. I love it. I love them
Everyone crying constantly because of chiral allergy!!
I loved all the important characters bar one (Bridget/Amelie)!
Why is this walking simulator so enjoyable why am I enjoying the fact that holding L2 + R2 while walking feels like holding your backpack and that you have to relax at times just like you’d have to if you were actually holding a backpack
Seriously. Why
The atmosphere was so great, the music was fantastic and the visuals were on point. A E S T H E T I C
The ghosts!! The giant Beached Things!!! Chiral crystals look! like! creepy hands reaching for the SKY!!
THE RAIN DESTROYS THINGS AND KILLS PEOPLE BY ACCELERATING TIME THIS IS SO COOL SHUT UP
Everytime the game got surreal it was electrifying
THE SURREAL WAR SCENES ON CLIFF’S BEACH
Everyone is using emojis
There’s guys addicted to delivering packages in that game and they’re trying to steal our stuff and we’re like “haha they’re dumb” but we’re basically addicted to delivering packages as the player. So yeah that was pretty fun
Terrorists thinking humanity isn’t going extinct fast enough and wanting to just rip the bandaid and speed things up. Simple but effective concept
People ask for SUPER VITAL ITEMS right next to completely trivial stuff and I’m LIVING for it. “Please fetch my toy dinosaur”. I feel you dude
The most isolated characters are like "LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THIS THING I LIKE" in your emails because they haven't had contact with other humans in years, it's super relatable
There’s a farm where people use the fact that Timefall rain accelerates time to grow food super quickly in one (1) Timefall and harvest everything just before it starts to die and I LOVE that detail of worldbuilding so much
YOU’RE FIGHTING BEACHED THINGS WITH YOUR OWN BODILY FLUIDS IT’S SO STUPID BUT ALSO SO COOL?? I love yeet-ing my own blood at eldritch entities
THE T W I S T S
All the fanservice (bar one detail that I’m gonna complain about later) is on dudes. This game reeeeeeally likes to show dudes naked or somewhat naked. Mostly the main character but this mocap also L O V E S Mads Mikkelsen and there’s a shit ton of homoerotic shots in there
I love Sam the antisocial papa wolf delivery man and if someone touches him or his baby again, I will cry
LOU. LOU LOU LOU PRECIOUS BABY I’D DIE FOR YOU. Wait I did
I love Fragile and how brave she is and how she keeps helping people even if most of them wrongly think she’s a terrorist and yes I will eat this cryptobiote thank you
I love soft science boi Heartman who keeps dying again and again and is a bit too much interested in bodily fluids
I love garbage man Higgs and how complex, funny and still somewhat tragic this memelord actually turned out to be in the end
Seriously I want to stop fixating on this character but you can’t give me YET ANOTHER character who wants to die but at the hands of someone else, that is unfair to do that right after my fixation on the new Doctor Who Master
So yeah Higgs is yet another character who makes me want to grab him by the lapels and shake him and yell WHY! ARE! YOU! LIKE! THIS! STOP! BEING! LIKE! THIS!!
Cliff broke all three of my feelings beautifully and in excruciatingly well-acted scenes that transcended the sometimes lackluster dialogue
John made me cry during That Scene
Mama your background was tragic and terrifying and you didn’t deserve any of this shit and I love you
Deadman was more funny than anything, really, but I still liked him even if he had no sense of personal space whatsoever and it clashed horribly with Sam’s phobias
The ending had some sad parts but was mostly positive, thank goodness
Now I’m gonna explain things I dislike and this looks long but it’s actually only 5 main things so I bolded them to avoid confusion
Tumblr media
Things I really disliked (and could have been handled wayyyy better)
We all know it but Kojima isn’t a master of subtlety and some parts of the dialogue kept repeating the same informations again and again AND AGAIN and I was like “ok ok I get it”
The dialogue can be so bad at times seriously
Kojima is a bad writer there I said it
It was particularly annoying with Amelie/Bridget and the fact she’s a horrible person trying (and failing) to justify her actions wasn’t helping
Bridges protocols are incredibly intrusive. All of them. I know it’s framed as bad and Sam hates being spied on all the time and in the end he destroys the device that does that, but I wish someone else would openly criticise it in-game
I guess Deadman sort of did but still
Also I know the whole BB technology was Bridget’s idea, and since she’s the actual villain it’s framed as a twisted, evil thing during the ending, but I wish that had been framed like that much earlier ; a lot of Bridges employees just... seem to accept the idea that their employer is using premature babies and their dead mothers as useful, if disturbing, devices. They seem to justify it by “uh we stole that technology from terrorists” to try to cope with the idea but... yeah.
I mean, one of the points being made very early on is that Sam sees his BB as his child who must be protected at all costs instead of a detection device, but I really wish he wasn’t the only one to object to that thing
Again, the game DOES frame "using babies and their dead mothers as tools” as evil and twisted, I just wish it was given a lot more weight and way sooner
Now let’s talk about the Token Straight(tm) in this game
In any other kind of context it would be a joke! But Death Stranding literally has a Token Straight Guy!
I mean, there IS a few hetero couples among the Preppers. Not a lot, mind you. Like, there’s the Montaineer and his wife for instance. But they’re just there and it’s not what their side plot is about
No I’m talking about this piece of shit right there
Tumblr media
This f█cking Junk Dealer guy complains the girl he loves is dead because of Bridges and emotionally blackmails us by sending us old holograms of her before her supposed death (somewhat disturbing holograms too because she looks... pretty young in them), then he sends us on what’s essentially a suicide mission in a BT infested zone, THEN when we give him proof she’s still alive and living in another bunker nearby, he won’t go there himself to check??
But SHE’s like “ok, bring me to him, then!”
He doesn’t deserve you, girl
I’ve already seen several people pointing out that carrying a woman as cargo on your back is... debatable at best and sexist at worst, but that part didn’t really bother me to be honest? She asked to be carried to him and it’s her choice. She was talking to us the entire way too, so that made things a lot less awkward. Also Sam has this phobia of being touched by other people so I bet carrying another human being on his back isn’t fun for him. It was also super stressful to do, to be honest.
And then there’s this EXTREMELY AWKWARD scene when they’re reunited and decide to get married, and thankfully Sam finds it just as awkward as we do because he’s standing super far away from the bunker in a “can’t they talk about this later - I’m right there” way. And I’m under the impression it was intended as cringy, in a “yeppp young people in love are Like That” sort of way, so I can accept that, to be honest. If you don’t take that scene seriously, it’s pretty fun in, again, a cringy sort of way
BUT
Then you receive more emails later and this piece of shit guy complains about her and he’s like “ugh WOMEN” or “marriage is the worst” and they end up divorced in record time and she goes back to her bunker
Which isn’t my problem with this subplot either, I promise I’m gonna explain myself eventually but this context is important. It’s okay to have characters who are pieces of shit like this guy who reeks of incel cologne. It’s alright. Not every character has to be a role-model. It’s good to have characters you can hate.
BUT THEN they get back together later to try to patch things up and you learn he was part of a gang who murdered her parents even though he protected her against the rest of the gang and that’s what I hated about that storyline. I guess if you squint it can be read as “this woman is making REALLY BAD life choices” but I read it as “he saved her so she owes him something, he can’t be entirely bad” and y i k e s this left such a bad taste in my mouth, good lord.
But yeah miss Chiral Artist you’re making really bad life choices please get away from this dude as soon as you can, thank you
Also don’t do this ‘sending Likes’ pose ever again, it was hilarious but also you made me use the word “cringy” several times in this paragraph even though I absolutely hate cringe culture, look what you made me do
Tumblr media
Now I have to talk about a scene that was intentionally disturbing as hell but ONE (1) detail in it was disturbing for the wrong reasons
To be honest, I really don’t like the Metal Gear Solid games and one of the reasons is the rampant sexism in them so I... was kind of bracing myself for Death Stranding and expecting it to have at least SOME really bad fanservice with a woman at one point or another but to my surprise?? There was none? All the fanservice is on dudes??? Hello? I really liked that (well at some point Fragile takes a shower in our room but we see literally nothing except her shoulder and then Sam looks away)?? What a refreshing change
THAT BEING SAID
And if you played the game you know exactly what I’m about to talk about
Yep this is the part where Johannes complains about how the bomb flashback was shot
Tumblr media
Ok so I guess I should also give some context in case someone is reading this but hasn’t played the game, but the deal with this scene is that our friend Fragile was betrayed by her colleague Higgs who used to be a porter but became a terrorist after meeting the “main“ villain of the game. First he secretly put a thermonuclear bomb in one of her deliveries so she’d nuke an entire city without even knowing it, and everyone after that thought she was a terrorist. And then he tried to do that shit A SECOND TIME, but she noticed and decided to toss the second nuke into a bottomless lake of tar. But he caught her just before she reached the lake and he decided to give her a sadistic choice, which was “teleport away and the bomb stays there and nukes the city, or carry it to the lake but only in your underwear under this rain that speeds up time and it will do enormous damage to your health and your body”
And of course being the hero she is, she decides to take the second option
And it’s an incredibly disturbing scene and it’s genuinely hard to watch
But it’s also the ONLY time a woman is in her underwear in this entire game and there’s A COUPLE of shots that were male-gaze-y at the beginning before she started to run and the really horrific part started.
So in a way I guess it could have been worse? way worse, even
But it still tarnishes an otherwise disturbing (and harrowing at times ; seriously I know I’m oversensitive but it was physically painful to watch) scene with unnecessary shots
We know Fragile had a young body before this happened, this isn’t the point of this scene, guys
Whoever decided to keep these shots (probably Kojima let’s face it), that is bad and you should feel bad
Idk how to do a visual transition for that next one because I do not want to screen that memo
So here’s a screenshot with a nice landscape instead
tw: acephobia
Tumblr media
Now I have to talk about something I like the GENERAL IDEA of, but not how the IN-GAME MATERIAL ABOUT IT was written
Because I have to talk about that “asexual world” memo
First I have to say that I absolutely love the fact that a mainstream game openly says in-game “this future is full of asexual people" and?? it’s just that, it’s a part of this world. That’s just how things are. It’s normalised. I love it. For crying out loud this memo has the word demisexual in it. I can’t think of any other mainstream game that had this word in it so far.
It should have stopped there and let me enjoy that in peace but it didn’t
THE MEMO ITSELF WAS CLEARLY WRITTEN BY SOMEONE WHO DOESN’T KNOW HOW TO HANDLE THESE CONCEPTS and there’s some really bad stuff there. I’d say it’s accidental acephobia but it’s still there. I’m not the best person to talk about this because I’m bi, but it still rubbed me the wrong way
The words this memo uses near the beginning are “"sexless lifestyle” among young people” and yikes, my dude. “Lifestyle”, uh? Really?
And then it goes on about how these new labels were already more and more common “among young people before the Death Stranding” and it also rubs me the wrong way, in a “wow young people and their weird labels lol” sort of queerphobic way?
However I’ve seen a post pointing out that the line “One theory posits that the Stranding accelerated the proliferation of these sexualities” was maybe a way of saying ‘yo asexuals are causing the end of the world’ but... I don’t see it, tbh? In the context of the game, society is extremely divided and a lot of people live in complete isolation and social norms have heavily shifted and it’s kind of normal that there’s queer people visible everywhere now, aces included obviously, because nobody’s bothering to hide it anymore. It’s a post-apocalyptic world! People are just being themselves! A lot of characters also seem to be bi/pan! They’re just vibing ok
At least that’s how I read that part, I can understand if someone had a problem with that bit but I didn’t
BUT! THAT’S NOT ALL because the memo concludes (I’m paraphrasing) “the birth rate has dropped, which might be a problem, but harassment and assault have also dropped, which is good, so idk it’s 50/50″ and. like. I get the intention. But it’s clumsy as hell and very bad. Please don’t confuse abuse of power and attraction. They don’t go hand in hand. Don’t do that. Please. And you know that aces can have kids if they want to, right. Come on. It’s 2020 my dude. This shit is harmful
Also. Like. It’s the end of the world in this game. People don’t want kids. It... has nothing to do with aces. Reality itself is crashing down. People are reluctant to have kids because reality.exe might f█cking crash down at any given moment!
Or a Beached Thing could VoidOut their city!
Or someone might send them a nuke, not naming names!!
Anyway!!!
It’s really badly written and whoever wrote it should educate themselves and maybe get an ace to re-read their stuff next time??
Again I’m not the right person to talk about acephobia and I bet an actual ace would have plenty more to say about this
Thankfully it’s a memo written in-game by a random Bridges councellor and NOT by any important character that we actually know
"I must preempt myself by admitting that I do not have any empirical data" yeah so, f█ck off maybe
So I’m just gonna call that guy “another piece of shit character” but it still doesn’t excuse the fact that the memo was written by someone who thought it was a good idea to put it in the game
Just let me enjoy my super queer post-apo world in peace and don’t write shit like that in your game thank you and goodbye
Minor stuff I also disliked but it wasn’t as awful
I get that Sam is upset at the end because Lou is dying but the way he said goodbye to Fragile broke my heart. It was abrupt and you KNOW he’s upset and wants to have nothing to do with Bridges anymore and that’s very understandable but it isn’t her fault
Seriously I want them to be friends again
I’m gonna pretend they’re friends again after Lou is saved and that Sam is a freelance porter again and sometimes their paths cross and they just talk together in the middle of nowhere and share cryptobiotes
The pacing is weird, there’s this deluge of plot in the beginning and the end but not much in the middle?
The BT boss fights could have been these epic Shadow of the Colossus showdowns but no, they were relatively standard boss fights. Wasted opportunity
The running on the Beach scene sdfghjhgfdsdfghjhgf that was... dumb
A lot of preppers are interesting in one way or another but some are just boring. Also I wish the design of their bunkers was more varied
Amelie/Bridget’s motivations are all over the place, both creating Bridges AND the Demens is... a lot? I know she both WANTS and DOESN’T want the actual, final end of the world to happen but that is a lot to take in and it’s all very confusing
Who the hell cares about ‘rebuilding America’ I just want to build a network where people can help each other
The ‘likes’ are fun but don’t make much sense
In conclusion
Death Stranding Good
Some stuff Bad
Some stuff Very Bad (but it’s just one memo out of 100+ memos, thank god)
I’m still hyperfixating
Send help

Honestly, like ... it's funny cause I actually liked Sophie before Season 8 aired, because I wasn't paying that much attention to her and her behavior outside the show, you know? Other than Emilia and Kit's interviews I wasn't really following the any of the actors outside of the show. But after the finale aired and everything exploded and fell to pieces, it was like a magnifying glass was put on all of them for me. And then I saw the shit Sophie had been saying for YEARS. (1/?)
Like how it wouldn't be fair if Daenerys got the iron throne because she had dragons, that Daenerys couldn't have EvErYtHiNg - as if she was personally affronted that Daenerys was so popular. And it was the same with Arya! She was constantly saying Sansa was the best character (and like, ok, a lot of actors probably say that about their characters, fine), but also going on about how 'smart' Sansa was and complaining that she wasn't as popular as other female characters (2/?) because she didn't 'act like a man'.
Thank you so much for this long ask! To keep things organised, I am roughly going to answer this in sections.
I agree with you. I did not pay much attention to any of the cast really, and I’m still not hugely bothered about them. GOT is done and I rarely get invested in cast members. It’s characters I’m interested in. But I remember randomly coming across bts footage of the Jon/Arya hug from season 1, and I just fell in love with those two actors in particular, and I happened to see an interview with Emilia and adored her too. And that’s when I happened to see more of this cast and understand what they were like. But with the final season, and seeing pretty much everyone’s reactions that ranged from forced awkward laughter to straight up saying it sucked, it became incredibly obvious when any single person reacted positively. Even former cast members were saying it sucked, and celebrities not even involved were dragging it, so Sophie’s words on this topic (which I will touch on in a second) were put under a microscope, and subsequently everything she had said before was too. Her hatred for Dany was definitely fed to her by D&D, but there was definitely a jealousy about how other characters and actors were more popular than her. But her comments about female characters in general were so toxic.
I was even annoyed for a hot minute with Maisie too, because of all the shit she and Sophie said about Daenerys while promoting S8 (calling her power-hungry and saying she was worse than Cersei). BUT THEN. I noticed exactly what you said in an earlier post about Maisie going along with WHATEVER Sophie said. And when I re-watched those interviews it was always SOPHIE saying those shitty things, and Maisie just agreeing. (3/?) I even saw the interview you mentioned where Maisie kept changing her answers to match Sophie's. They're friendship comes off as really uneven and toxic, tbh, cause it felt like Sophie was CONSTANTLY running roughshod over Maisie.
Yeah, Maisie’s attitude initially seems off as well, especially with regard to Daenerys. But as you said, she never says this sort of thing in solo interviews, or interviews with other actors. It’s such a shame that there are so few without Sophie, so we rarely get to see what she’s like on her own. It would be one thing I suppose if Maisie gave similar answers to Sophie without much prompting, but she always has one answer, then Sophie speaks, and she changes it based on what she says. That really clearly shows you she is amending her behaviour to fit in with Sophie, which is not good. It does feel so uneven and I’ve had friendships like that and it took a while for me to cut them out. Once I did I felt much better. We obviously don’t know the ins and outs of their relationship, but it does feel very similar.
Sophie's also made uncomfortable comments dealing with racism in the past, she claims to be an advocate for mental health but then behaves abominably towards her castmates (4/?) (making insensitive comments about Kit's drinking during an interview, saying shit about Daenerys when she knows how much that could affect Emilia, etc.), the way she said she "loved" Sansa's rape scene because of how twisted it was, all that in addition to how she defended the show's final season (with it's STRONG xenophobic, isolationist undertones) even though she didn't even watch the last 2-3 episodes (5/?) - how she seemed so smug and happy about the (tone-deaf) ending, even seemed to be celebrating it when it was brought up in interviews (talk about not being able to read the room - seriously, everybody else seemed to realize it, and kept their mouths shut after the required promo period) - her history of sicking her fans on people who disliked Sansa/said anything negative about her on social media even when they didn't @ her (6/?)
Her comments about race and mental health always made me uncomfortable too. I was sympathetic to her struggle with mental health, but then she invalidates everyone else’s struggles and it just made me dislike her even more. You can’t be an advocate for mental health and then say stuff like that about other people. Those two things do not go together. You could see when she said that stuff about Kit’s drinking that, though the audience laughed, everyone in the cast including Kit gave awkward smiles and giggles to cover how uncomfortable they were because they didn’t want to make a scene. And the way she talks about other characters is disrespectful. These characters mean a lot to the people who play them, and she does not react well when people give the same back to her. It reminds of John Boyega and his comments about Reylo and Ben Solo especially, knowing how much his castmates, Adam and Daisy in particular, love the character and how much he means to them, and he went ahead and said those things anyway, fuelling his fans to be cruel to other fans. It’s not as bad as Sophie perhaps, but it’s just poor form when these people are supposed to be professional. Sophie’s comments about Sansa’s rape scene came straight from D&D’s mouth, but she has to be at least a little self-aware about how that sounds and how gross it is, especially when she loves it because of how gross it was. You don’t see Emilia defending Drogo, do you?
Her reaction to the ending was so telling because it was the single positive opinion in a sea of negativity. Everyone else, including people no longer in the show and celebrities who were never involved, hated it and called it out to varying degrees (there was still contracts to fulfill) for how tone-deaf and nonsensical it was, and there was the table-read were everyone was devastated, but Sophie was grinning the entire time. She liked the show because her character won in the end. Sophie is not a writer, and it’s obvious when she praises the writing of this show (and criticises others which had far fewer problems than this). She did not care how nonsensical and crass the rest of the show was, as long as her character ended up on top, and then went out of her way to criticise people who hated it. Other actors have done the same, but on top of everything else it’s not a good look. And don’t even get me started on her behaviour on social media. It’s gross and not something we can blame on someone else.
after all that, everything about her just reeks of this 'woe-is-me I'm so oppressed white feminist' bs. It makes it impossible for me to like her now. Like, I think I'm only 1-2 years older than her, I don't come from nearly as much privilege as she does, and she has all the resources in the world to be educating herself and improving herself but...I don't see anything resembling that kind of growth in her. (7/7)
Yeah I can only agree. I’m five years younger than her and you would never catch me acting the way she does. She’s 24, she’s an adult, and obviously early fame and the producers affected her, but at some point we can’t keep absolving her of blame. She could be educating herself and alleviating her own ignorance, but it seems like she’s just doubling down. Maisie has had the same troubling influence from an earlier age, and she is younger, but she is not acting this way. I’m not hugely into following actors’ lives as I said, but when this was brought to my attention it rubbed me the wrong way. I am perfectly fine to ignore her as best I can, but I don’t have to like her. You don’t have to like celebrities if they’re not great people, and I don’t like her. And I’m glad the show is over so her castmates can go on to bigger and better things and leave that toxic environment the show created behind.

Kyoya's second shot
Chapter seven: Big brother to the rescue!
It's unlikely that two days are just perfect as each other, you cannot simply have the best day of your life, then have the same day tomorrow. And unfortunately common occurrence is for one day to be wonderful, simply the best, then the next day to be empty and hollow- even if nothing bad happens; the lack of the joy makes a normal day seem even worse. That was how Sunday went for Kyoya; he couldn't even talk to Tamaki over text, as he was spending the day with Haruhi.
He had woken up in Tamaki's bed, alone. Tamaki had already left to go and spend time with Haruhi, having left a note and some of Kyoya's favourite foods for breakfast. Kyoya had barely picked at it, not feeling all too hungry, but he didn't want to upset Tamaki, so he finished the food before leaving. The ride home was silent, Kyoya simply read through Arai's report of the day spent with Haruhi. Apparently they'd spent the day reading and sitting in the local park, nothing really romantic in the slightest- Kyoya had to wonder if Arai had even tried.
The moment he'd gotten home, he stumbled upstairs, completely ignoring his brother who was visiting for the day, he made a b-line for his bedroom, crawling under the covers and just hiding. He had lain like this for the entire summer holiday, so what was one day more? He wasn't being selfish, he was just tired, a whole day outside had taken a lot out of him. He barely glanced up to read the shadow council group chat, oh… they were calling him slurs again. Maybe he should just sleep.
But Eclair reminded him that he'd scheduled a meeting with the council today, so he took about an hour to compose himself enough to at least sit up, the many blankets still wrapped around his head and body- if they wanted to judge him he couldn't care less, he felt as if he could cry without the soft pressure from his blankets. His maids had brought him lunch, along with a note from his brother, asking if he wanted to talk or hang out… Kyoya sighed at that, Yuuichi was always trying to bond with him, it was strange; why would he want to spend time with Kyoya when he could spend that time working? If Kyoya had a job he'd do absolutely nothing else, how dare his brother spend so much time doing nothing at all yet still be the favourite.
Kyoya had turned his laptop on, setting up the meeting before inviting all his council, they did have work to do after all. "Good afternoon everyone."
Eclair was simply sat on a chaise lounge, drinking wine and smoking, clearly just showing off that she could do that kind of thing. Nekozawa was sat in a dark room, lit only by candles, he was missing both his wig and cloak, and sat there with his regal features- if he wasn't such a creepy guy, maybe Kyoya would be attracted to him. Akira was hunched over his desk, looking incredibly stressed to be in this call, good. Seika was laying on her bed, legs in the air like she was in an American movie about teens, it was uncanny. Chika was sitting in a quiet corner of a garden, there were a couple of baby ducks in the background, just chirping about. Arai, ever the lovely commoner, was simply in his kitchen, making his lunch as they spoke.
Kyoya sighed, adjusting his glasses, "first thing I have to address; Arai, how did yesterday go?"
The commoner boy barely glanced at him, busy making food, "well it was alright I suppose, I sent a message about it didn't I?"
"You did, but I'd like you to make a formal report for the rest of the council."
"Alright then," Arai nods, chopping some tomatoes, "we went to the park and read books together, I bought her a milkshake with ice-cream. She complained about school, I let her-" he clearly pause, putting the knife down for a moment, "she complained about you at one point actually."
Kyoya froze, Haruhi was complaining about him? What did he do? Did she know? If she was complaining to Arai, imagine what she could be saying to Tamaki at that very moment… Kyoya's hands were already shaking as he wrapped his blankets around himself even more, "what did she say?"
"Oh she just said some stuff about how you've been really pushy and snappy lately, also like- totally going through someone but kind of being a dick about it." Like all commoners, Arai spoke bluntly, but there was something in his tone, in the way he paused when he saw Kyoya's expression, his gaze softening… "hey, those aren't her exact words, just a bit of paraphrasing. Don't worry about it, she doesn't suspect a thing, also I mean; she's not wrong, you're clearly going through someone, and you're clearly lashing out- forgive me for getting too personal." He had smiled, before turning to continue making his lunch.
Kyoya didn't know how to respond to that, how dare that commoner see straight through him- but he wasn't cruel about it… like anyone else in existence would be, Kyoya felt himself bristle nonetheless, his pride forbidding him from accepting any care. "Oh look, the basket case is about to start crying and we've barely started the meeting." Ayanokoji had made a cruel comment, one that people laughed at, Arai was ignoring the meeting now, clearly he was only going to speak when asked to. Kyoya's fists clenched, he felt like he was about to put a hole through his laptop… he'd done that before, he remembered his father's reaction, he'd been grounded for two weeks after that. He hated to imagine what would happen the second time. So he took a deep breath, glaring down the camera.
"I'm sorry, Ayanokoji, why don't you tell us any new ideas you've had?" His tone was clear; she'd already been reprimanded for the graffiti, so any inappropriate idea would be criticised heavily- especially by a shadow king in a foul mood. Her eyes had gone wide, and she lay flat, glancing about a little nervously.
"Oh, well…" it was clear she hadn't thought of a single thing, "well I was thinking… oh! Maybe I could drug her coffee? Or ruin her work for classes? Or spread a nasty rumour..?" Kyoya thought about these options, letting the other council members speak first however, as he already knew his opinion.
Chika was the first to speak, "you're gonna poison the crossdresser??" His words got the attention of the other people in the call who weren't paying attention, such as Arai and Eclair; one of whom seemed a lot less onboard than the other.
Kyoya shook his head, "we will not be drugging her, as easy as it would be for me to get my hands on a harmless dose of something, we are better than that- we are smarter than that. Your other two ideas however, are fine. However; only ruin her schoolwork once, as we don't want to get her expelled."
"I thought we were trying to ruin her life?" Akira spoke up, why was he even still allowed to speak? Kyoya respected the commoner more than he could ever respect this newsboy.
So he rolls his eyes, adjusting how he's sat, "don't be foolish, we're just trying to drive her away from Tamaki, I harbour no real ill will towards the commoner- she is simply in the way. Now," he looks down at where Akira was on the screen, before his eyes filter back up to the webcam, staring straight into the lense, "I suggest you bite your tongue, Komatsuzawa, you're on thin ice here as it is." It seemed to work, the boy glanced away from the screen, biting his thumb and going silent.
Seika laughed, "god, what a baby. Sucking his thumb cause he got told off, how absolutely pathetic." Her words clearly annoyed Akira, but he was notably silent and the call was quiet for a second until Tonnerre spoke up.
"Ootori isn't much better," she addressed Seika, ignoring the other folks in the call as she lifted a glass of red to her lips, "he's all bundled in blankets like a baby, you can see his lunch behind him; there's even milk." She doesn't laugh, she doesn't even smile, but there's an airy huff that tells Kyoya she finds herself quite amusing, Seika's chuckling doesn't make it feel any better.
But she's not the only one laughing, Chika, the little brat, seems to find this oh so funny. "He's more of a baby then some of the people in my class! No wonder my brother hangs out with him!" Such childish laughter, and yet Kyoya feels more obliged to defend Honey with that insult then to defend himself… though he knew how it felt to be a younger brother, he found himself unable to sympathise with Chika at all in this regard.
He just stayed silent, not wanting to speak and incriminate himself for anything, he knew he could move his blankets but he felt if he did so he might just cry. So he stayed completely still, staring at the screen. Luckily the sound of cruel laughter was silenced by Nekozawa speaking up, "Ootori-san may have some clear issues, but it's not as if he embarrassed himself to the degree you did Ayanokoji-chan," he was smiling at her, expression and words completely harmless, though of course dear Seika took great offence, gasping at the very idea of her being worse than Kyoya.
The meeting delved into insults and jokes, slurs being thrown around as if it were middleschool again… Kyoya just sat there, hands shaking, as he watched Arai's screen. Arai wasn't partaking in the jokes of the rest of the council, he had finished making his lunch and had just sat down to eat it, watching the show with concern. Kyoya watched him take out his phone, typing something slowly, then… oh, Kyoya's own phone had pinged. He picked it up from his bedside table, reading the text.
Peasant: hey, are you doing ok?
you can talk to me if you want
I'm always willing to listen if you need it
even if we aren't friends
Kyoya had saved them all on his phone with the same nicknames they had in the group chat, with Nekozawa as an exception obviously. So he instantly realised that the text he'd just saw Arai type was this one he was reading now… or four texts he supposed, one after the other. He was caught off guard by them, the idea of someone he's barely spoken to, caring about him, seeking him out to make sure he's alright, offering to be a willing ear, using a gentle tone with him… it was all entirely new to Kyoya- and he didn't trust it one bit.
Kyoya Ootori: Don't take me for a fool, there is no viable reason for me to trust you.
He watched Arai receive the text, and noticed how he sighed lightly- Kyoya was right! Arai had been planning to dig into Kyoya's secrets! And pry at his weaknesses! Kyoya had won, he had been so smart to not open up to the common boy! He had to congratulate himself on that at least, he had one talent, if nothing else. He sighed slightly at that, realising his conclusion meant that no one on the council was even genuinely nice. So he sat there, eyes just focusing on whoever was speaking at the time, whoever was calling him a slur at any given moment… oh, his door had opened.
He glanced over to the entrance to his room, noticing Yuuichi standing there, looking entirely concerned. His brother glanced at his laptop, his frown deepening, "who just called you that?" Uh oh.
Everyone in the meeting had heard it, and most knew Yuuichi by his voice, and knew to be afraid- even the few that didn't, had enough sense to stay silent. Yuuichi walked over, taking the laptop from Kyoya's bed, looking at the screen. Kyoya silently watched in horror as his brother slowly looked at the members of his council, recognising them one by one- he looked extremely surprised to see… Eclair, Kyoya had to assume. Then Yuuichi's eyes landed on Arai, and he spoke his first words since entering the room, "what the… is that a commoner?" Kyoya nodded when Yuuichi glanced at him, staying completely silent as he processed this fact.
"What kind of strange gathering is happening here?" Yuuichi didn't seem to understand what was going on in the slightest, Kyoya was glad of that. But as Yuuichi sat down on the bed next to Kyoya, the laptop on his lap, the council began to speak.
Eclair spoke first, with a polite but clearly forced chuckle, "bonjour monsieur Ootori, I don't believe we've spoken properly yet?"
"Please," Yuuichi's smile was also faked, "call me Yuuichi."
She nodded, "Yuuichi, I don't believe you need to worry about this little meeting, your baby brother is awfully good at arranging things isn't he?" God, she was hiding her insults in complements now, as if Kyoya couldn't hate this woman anymore then she already did.
Yuuichi's face lit up at that, pulling Kyoya close to him, "oh you're right! He is so good at planning and organising, you should've seen the rigorous routines he used to map out when he was younger, he had a schedule for playtime!" He laughed, not realising how humiliating this would be for Kyoya, "he'll always be my sweet little baby brother, even if he's grown up a lot since then."
Chika let out a snort at that, causing Yuuichi to frown again, "why is there a toddler in this call?" It was incredibly rewarding to watch Chika splutter and explain that he's a middle schooler, as if Yuuichi wasn't fully aware exactly who he was. But the boy's laughter had reminded Yuuichi of what he'd heard, "so, which one of you did I hear call my brother a slur?" There was complete silence on the other end of the line.
Kyoya looked up at Yuuichi, frowning, he gently pinched his brother's arm, not wanting to draw attention to himself but also really wanting Yuuichi to stop it. Yuuichi glanced at him the moment he felt the pinch, smiling softly, he let Kyoya take the laptop from him, though frowned at that. "Alright everyone," Kyoya made sure to keep his voice level, smiling politely to the council, "I apologize for the interruption and I'm afraid we'll have to cut our meeting a little short, please ruminate on what we've discussed today and I hope to speak with you again soon, that will be all," and without letting anyone else get a word in edgeways, he ended the call, slamming his laptop shut and headbutting his brother in the chest fairly hard, just resting their for a moment.
"Kyoya…" Yuuichi had uttered softly, placing a gentle hand on Kyoya's head, playing with his hair, "why did you do that? You know I'd have stood up for you."
"Humiliate me is what you did." Kyoya's words were spat out, quite aggressively, but Kyoya only got so aggressive when he was close to tears, and Yuuichi knew this, and Kyoya knew that he knew, "you always fucking show me up, I don't need you to come to my rescue…"
These words must hurt his brother deeply, Kyoya knew that, but frankly, he didn't care, not right now at least. He had his own feelings, ones that were hurt a hell of a lot more than his silly little words could ever harm his brother, tears filled his eyes, already dangerously close to spilling over. Yuuichi didn't respond, at least not verbally- he gently picked Kyoya up, still swaddled in all those blankets, and he cradled him on his knee, just like he did when Kyoya was a baby…
Kyoya hated to admit it, but this did genuinely make him feel better- he felt so, so stupid for it, but being held by his older brother like that was actually so comforting, and Kyoya wasn't exactly sure why. Yuuichi gently shushed him, even though Kyoya hadn't made any noise, and just began to rock him gently. It wasn't as effective as when Kyoya was tiny, but it was still oddly comforting… like laying on a pool floaty and taking a nap.
After a while, Yuuichi gently put Kyoya down, frowning slightly, "can you tell me why you were talking with those people? I know you've been more social in highschool, but you actively hate some of those people."
Kyoya had sighed, really not wanting to have to admit to anything, so he attempted to lie his way through it. "Well I… it's a mutually beneficial alliance, personal opinions aren't a part of the equation. You of all people should know not to involve emotions in business."
"Kyoya, you're seventeen, you don't have any business to attend to," Yuuichi sighed, before reaching out and ruffling Kyoya's hair, "you should be paying attention to your feelings, you're at the age where you need to be fighting for your happiness." He smiled a little, that friendly, overly soft smile, that Kyoya knew meant he was about to get nosey, "I heard you had a day out yesterday, did you have fun?"
Now, Kyoya usually hated it when his siblings tried to pry into his private life, but Yuuichi was giving him a chance to talk about the wonderful day he'd had yesterday, and Kyoya couldn't help but to smile. "Well myself and Tamaki went to a little commoner-ran store to order custom food platter, because Tamaki wanted to do a theme based on commoner foods, and then-"
"Do you enjoy regular food then?"
"Huh?" Kyoya paused, looking up at Yuuichi in confusion, "what do you mean? We aren't talking about regular food, we're talking about commoner food?"
His brother had laughed at him, and Kyoya didn't quite understand why, "come on Kyoya, you're smarter than that- think about it for like, two seconds." But Kyoya still didn't understand, why would regular food be- oh.
"Oh. Oh dear, it seems I spend too much time around the others." He glances down in shame, having just embarrassed himself in front of his brother like that, he was just glad it was Yuuichi and not Akito- Akito would have just laughed.
Yuuichi, however, only chuckled a little, pulling Kyoya in and ruffling his hair even further, "Nothing wrong with having friends, even if you do pick up strange habits from them. Either way, do you like regular food then?"
Kyoya just hesitantly nodded, remembering yesterday's lunch, and that one time Haruhi bought him a burger. He wasn't sure why Yuuichi had asked him that, what use could that information be to him? His brother had smiled at him, clearly liking that reacting, then he glanced down at the untouched tray of food.
"How about we go grab some fast food for dinner? You don't seem too keen on lunch so we'll go early, how about five?" Kyoya was caught off guard by this- Yuuichi actively wanted to spend time with him? He hadn't just written the note to be nice? He was silent, just staring up at Yuuichi in silence. "What'd you say, Kyo? Wanna hang out with your big bro?"
Kyoya just quietly nodded, not smiling or even speaking, he was just- he didn't even know why Yuuichi wanted to hang out with him, didn't his brother have more important things to do? It seemed that Yuuichi had noticed his confusion, putting a gentle hand on Kyoya's shoulder.
"Kyoya, you're my baby brother and you're clearly going through something right now… Fiyumi told me there are fresh scars, please understand that I care about you, people care about you."
Oh. He'd been told about the scars, of course he had, why else would he be here? Kyoya had genuinely felt hope, that- for just a second, he thought his big brother actually wanted to hang out with him… he felt even worse then he had before. He hated being pitied, more than anything. But he couldn't tell Yuuichi how he felt, he knew his brother would never admit the pity. So he just smiled, nodding, making sure to appear to be the innocent child he knew his brother saw him as. Yuuichi seemed satisfied by this, smiling back and ruffling Kyoya's hair one last time before leaving the room, leaving Kyoya in an uncomfortable silence.
His phone was buzzing, he didn't need to check it to know it was the council, likely mocking him further. He just grabbed his blankets, wrapping them around himself again and flopping down on the bed, face in his pillow for a moment before he sighed and rested the side of his head on the pillow, looking over across the room and out the window. Kyoya hated the silence, he used silence to study, he used silence to cry, he only sat in silence when he was in pain- so he hated it. So he reached over to his phone, planning to just put some quiet music on- but he saw the notification sitting on his lockscreen, and he froze.
Woman: Yes of course, and he needs to hide behind his family all the time, he's barely a person without his name.
They were still talking about him, it hurt more that they were right; he did hide behind his surname too much, but it was all he had. He thought about how Fiyumi had helped him yesterday, how, even today, Yuuichi had come to his defence even without being asked, and had proceeded to promise to spend time with him… even Akito had been calling and texting him lately. It all felt so wrong, it was like he was a toddler again, he felt so babies, so protected. Eclair was right, he didn't exist without them right behind him- he certainly wouldn't be alive… if Fiyumi hadn't helped him with all those scars, even finding him after the first time it happened… he assumed he'd have gotten much worse, much sooner.
When he spent time with his siblings, it often made the bad thought disappear- so was that all he was without them? Was that who Kyoya was? Just an unstable bundle of bad thoughts? His fingers found his scars again, and he slowly traced over them, not daring to look… he was going to spend time with Yuuichi soon, he couldn't do that… but he wanted to, oh he was so tempted. He opened up the group chat, he could hurt himself in easier, less evident ways.
Child: He's a fucking wierdo, all those idiots my brother hangs out with are.
Woman#2: It's like, the only reason anyone even listens to, or pretends to care about him is because of who his father is.
Woman: Oh you don't know the half of it, he literally shows off his father's police force at any chance he gets.
He thinks being powerful is a personality trait.
Woman#2: I don't even know why they let him stay in the club, he doesn't even do any actual hosting.
Sorcerer: It's because Souh-san can't do maths.
Child: Lmao the guy he loves is using him, fucking ironic
Peasant: i think its sad…
Woman: Sad? It's fucking pathetic is what it is.
Kyoya promptly closed the group chat, feeling tears biting his eyes. He really, truly, desperately wanted to text Tamaki- to just ask if that was true. He knew it wasn't, he knew it, made no sense for it to be true… but that didn't stop it from hurting. His phone buzzed again, and Kyoya reacted with rage, tossing the thing across his bedroom, and curling up into a ball. Sure, he hated himself, and reason didn't really come into the equation at this point- but logic was Kyoya's best… and only quality, so he had to reason that bothering Tamaki, or anyone for that matter, would only serve to make himself look stupid, or crazy, or something to that degree.
He was still sitting in silence, and he didn't really want to get up in order to grab his phone. He wished he had one of those smart home things like the twins had, but his father considered them spyware- even if the house was already covered in cameras and microphones. Kyoya just lay there, maybe it wouldn't be silent if he was crying, but he couldn't cry… at least not like normal people. He was always silent in his sadness, tears running down his cheeks, he hated crying… it just reminded him how he wasn't normal, how he was broken- unemotional. He used to be proud of his silence when he was younger, he wasn't loud nor a bother like other children, he didn't scream or throw tantrums, he just sat quietly, getting on with his studies.
He had trained himself to be silent, thinking he'd be loved more, if he was quieter, more productive. Now that was all he was worth, it seemed he'd dug his own grave… he wasn't sure if he wanted to lay in it- death sounded wonderful, but he was terrified of leaving the people he cares about. He just lay there, he lay there… he stayed there for hours, just quietly crying- but then he got too tired to cry, and he felt quite thirsty, but he didn't want to move, so he lay there uncomfortably, staring into the middle distance.

Chapter 1
‘So this is what it’s like to be cheated on?’ I thought to myself as I watched my “fiance” Danny, and my coworker, Veronica, make out. They didn’t even try to hide it; they were in the corner of the empty “break room” barely behind a coat rack. It was pathetic really…their moaning and high pitched giggling could be heard throughout the adjacent dining area. It wasn’t long before the noise gained the attention of the rest of the servers.
My best friend Caden appeared next to me. Though I didn’t turn around to see him, I recognized his perfume. I could imagine how his face must have been: twisted and contorted into disgust, shock, and anger. And knowing how his personality was, I knew that his emotions would push him. Before the two had a chance to realize they had been caught, Caden had removed his favorite hoop earrings, pulled back his white button up sleeves and lunged at the two. Even with a fresh manicure set, Caden managed to fuck up both of their faces, and rip their uniforms. All without breaking a single nail.
The two managers, who were on duty, had rushed over to the break room once they heard the commotion. Worried parents, and a few older guests were outraged over the entire thing, and began to complain. By the time the managers arrived, the remaining guests, and part of the back-of-house staff had joined the viewing.
“WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?!” Jack yelled, running between the group, forcing them to stop. He was the youngest manager in the restaurant, and by far the most annoying. He had this gnack of irritating people with his lack of common sense. He had started as a bartender two years ago, and managed to worm his way up to the top. He walked around like if he was higher up than anyone else, despite the fact that there were servers older than him. He would play favorites; only honoring those who chose to entertain his crack-pot ideas. It was just amazing to see how far ass-kissing can get you…
“Oh, I will tell you what the fuck is going on here!” Caden said, his shrieking voice carried throughout the entire restaurant. Caden attempted to swing again, but Jack held him back. Though Caden was very skinny, he had a lot of power; Jack could barely hold him back from attacking.
“You three, into the office NOW!” Ryan exclaimed as he ran inside the break room. He was a lot older than Jack; having been the manager of the Spanish restaurant since the beginning. If there was one person the staff and crew listened to, it was him. He was like the older grandpa in the group that everyone loved, and hated getting upset.
The staff and guests had dropped their heads, as if they were in trouble, and returned back to their places. It was at that moment that Danny noticed my presence; I could only picture how I looked that very second. My hair, as always, was pulled into a messy bun that was unflattering. Working three jobs a week can do that to you.
My average, black, watery eyes were hidden behind an old pair of aviator glasses that once belonged to my grandpa. My tan skin began to turn pale and ugly from the tears that would not stop falling. I could feel my nose begin to run, just adding onto the masterpiece that I called my face.
I could feel my breathing quicken, as I tried to desperately regain my composure. It was futile though; the more I tried to fix myself, the more tears fell down. Ten years of a relationship, and engagement flushed down the toilet within a matter of minutes. Every beautiful moment that we shared was quickly tainted by the image of Danny and Veronica, and my body desperately needed to be washed from it.
Had this been the first time? Was it something that I had done? Was there something wrong and unappealing about me? I mean, compared to me, Veronica was a stunning beauty. She was tall and thin, had long, wavy brown hair. There was not a pimple in sight, yet on my face, I could count half a dozen Mount Everests. Other than the blotchy makeup, and cat scratches on her face, she was the definition of an Instagram model.
Danny stood there, his mouth left wide open. He looked like he was trying to find an excuse. He kept opening his mouth, as if to say something, but no words came out. It was hard to stay angry with him when we normally argue, but the smeared lipstick on his face was the fuel to the increasing fire. Danny’s black hair was disheveled, and his apron was nearly torn apart. He looked like he felt guilty for getting caught. His eyes kept running between my own and the floor. That was one thing about him...that no matter how he was acting, I could tell how he felt by looking into his eyes.
“I SAID MY OFFICE NOW!” Ryan screamed. The three of them began to make a slow walk towards the exit. Jack led the group out, not bothering to look at me. Caden followed, looking at me with pitiful eyes, secretly promising that this wasn’t over. Next was Veronica, who gave me a cocky smile, as if she would’ve done more if given the opportunity. And finally Danny...Danny didn’t even bother looking at me. His eyes were glued to the floor, as he quickly exited the break room.
‘He couldn’t even look at me.’I thought. ‘The bastard couldn’t even look at me…’ I began to play around with the plain silver ring that he had given me last Christmas. He had saved up his tips for months to buy a simple wedding band. Though everyone criticised him for buying something so small, I loved it. I loved simple designs. I loved the thought behind every present anyone ever gave me. But as I continued to play with the ring, I couldn’t help but feel anger for the far fetched future that would never come true. I couldn’t help but feel that the simple wedding band became heavy, as if all of my insecurities, that were brought to light at this moment, focused onto that one object.
Ryan was the last to leave. He stopped as he reached me, extending a hand to my shoulders. He looked at me with worried eyes. I tried to look at him, but my mind flew far past him. My never-ending questions began to drag me away. I tried desperately to focus on his voice, but it was so hard.
“Rockey...are you ok?” Ryan asked. I couldn’t bring myself to answer him, though I had a feeling he wasn’t expecting much of an answer. The burning sensation in my eyes intensified, and I knew it was a matter of seconds before I began to wail. I hated the sympathetic look he was giving me.
“Rockey...I am so sorry this happened to you. I would understand if you need to take the rest of the day off.” He said in a low voice. “But please stay and talk to me for a bit. I don’t like seeing you like this.” All of a sudden, there was a large crash in the kitchen. Apparently Jack was not able to control the group, and Caden had begun swinging again. Ryan quickly ran out of the room, leaving me alone.
I was finally left alone to my thoughts, or what was left of it. It was a highway of scrambled emotions. I couldn’t get a handle on anything. What did I want to do? What would happen next? Do I stay with him? Would I trust him again? What if this happened again? I had moved into his apartment a few years ago, and the closest relatives I have are in the next state over. He has a car, and I don’t. What would I do if I left him?
I had a mixture of anger, sadness, confusion, violence, and rage ravaging through my mind. And as if by magic, everything became clear. It was as if I had snapped a pencil in half. There was only one thing that I could think of at the moment.
Before I left the restaurant, minutes after the chaos died down, I stopped by the kitchen. A group of servers and cooks had gathered around and began gossiping. They became silent as soon as I entered. My face was still a mess, but I remained focused on the task at hand. I found Jack standing by the office, trying to listen to the conversation that was being held inside. Apparently, he was supposed to get the servers to go back to work, but became interested in the conversation going on.
I walked up to him, ignoring the bombardment of questions from my coworkers. I ripped the ring off my finger and gave it to him. I didn’t have to tell him what to say; he knew almost instantly what needed to be done. As I turned around, I grabbed something off the counter. I managed to do so without anyone noticing. I ripped off my apron and strutted outside to the parking lot.
I never popped anyone’s tires before. I always imagined it to be loud, and that the sudden pop would scare me. But I found out that I actually liked it. The four tires popped with such ease, that I couldn’t help but take the same knife and run it through the doors. I was determined to fuck up Danny’s 2010 black Mustang GT. Then, I would aim for Veronica’s bright red bug. I knew that it would not help me feel better, but it was one hell of a good start.
Within minutes, I had managed to destroy his car. I used the handle of the knife to break through his windows, and create a handful of dents. I was surprised by the energy I had, despite working two jobs today alone. A small group of guests and servers had gathered by the front door, recording my handy work.
Once I was satisfied with my work, I turned to the group and bowed. “You guys haven’t seen anything yet.” With that, I turned around and began walking back to his apartment. It would take about an hour, but I knew he wasn’t going to come back tonight. I had all the time in the world to have fun in the apartment. Thank God I was not under the lease agreement...

GOT EP4: my two cents
To begin with, Braime Stans, can you all. Just. Calm. The f*ck down?!
Your talk is so whiny I can’t even.
Yes the writers messed up big time with everyone on that episode, and I do mean everyone, except perhaps Bran and Sandor Clegane, for obvious reasons.
Seven seasons worth of character arc and redemption development and — what?? You actually believe he abandons the purest love he never thought he’d find for the ex “love of his life” now that she’s winning?
Please use your common sense. Valonqar or not, well-meaning!Kingslayer Jaime has never been one to act rashly, especially when it comes to his own family or heart.
The Mother of Dragons literally has nothing to face Cersei with, how is she going to win up against Euron Greyjoy’s fleet and the army she’s bought herself??
Unless. He slinks back into King’s Landing, disguised as the besotted twin brother which he knows to do so well (give the man an Oscar! An Emmy! Something!), SO THAT HE CAN GET CLOSE TO CERSEI AND JUST END IT.
I’ve been reading *essays* about each tiny scrutinised glance between Jaime and Brienne for years, now you’re all abandoning ship and spewing hate? You have to be better than this!
Fight me on this, I’m ready, he didn’t leave Brienne to run back to Cersei’s unwelcoming!open legs (pardon the crudeness), he’s trying to keep the person he loves most safe. And that’s the tea, drink it or choke on it, as you will.
***
Jon
Can we all just take a moment and appreciate his character arc before we start criticising?? From unwanted bastard who doesn’t fit in and wants desperately to do so, to young man off on an adventure away from the only family he’s ever known just so he could be away from all the things he knew he’d never have. Gave his life to the cause. Was brought back regardless of whether he meant to live again and never once complained, just got on with the job of trying to save everyone’s asses. Won everyone’s respect, and I DO MEAN EVERYONE. Even Cersei B*tch Queen of the Iron Throne Lannister knew he’s as solid and honourable as they come. His side, thanks to his efforts, dragons and dagger aside, EFFECTIVELY WON THE WINTER WAR. All the people who swore they’d never be in the same room without killing each other? They were all there supporting HIM. Do you have any idea HOW POWERFUL that is? Has anyone ever seen Jon wield power because he wants it? No. Can we all agree he does it beautifully regardless? No really, say “no” go on, make my day. Does he deserve to be on the Iron Throne? From a simplistic point of view, yeah, him being THE ACTUAL HEIR and all; but does anyone truly believe he’d be suited to that life, when really all he’s ever known is fighting? And I don’t just mean fighting for the Night’s Watch and for Winterfell. And still, people just naturally flock to him, because they know a good man when they see one. And despite all this, he truly believes (albeit naively) that everyone can carry on as they were, knowing the truth, and he can still have that peaceful existence with the love of his life by his side. Everybody is hating on him because he, what? Didn’t pet Ghost after making the best decision for him??? Are you all seriously that childish?? I’d die before I let anything happen to my dog, and Jon has gotten really good at saying goodbye to the things he loves most (see above). Take my advice and move past that moment. Not patting Ghost on the head doesn’t mean he discarded him without a second thought, or that he doesn’t love him. Will he be given a dark ending? That remains to be seen. I believe in him, in plain Jon Snow and in Aegon Targaryen. I hope they give him the life he’s always wanted, and not the heaviest burden of all; wearing the crown of the Protector of the Realm.
***
Dany
A LOT of people have been fighting over her increasingly, and it just makes me shake my head, because yes she’s being portrayed all wrong. But can we just take a moment and analyse the following:
Yes she was a good little girl who only felt it was her burden to liberate all people and take her throne back because she’s always wanted to go home, home to a place she’s never known and has only ever heard stories and songs about. After seven seasons of betrayals, attempts on her life, of being sold into marriage!slavery and losing it all only to get back up and tell the world “no, THIS is who I am”, do you honestly believe she knows how to be anything else? When have we ever seen her be merciful without annihilation first? Does she ever, ever, talk about defending the North in terms other than “Jon’s War”? And this is a woman who feels entitled to become the one true ruler of the Seven Kingdoms, the North included. All xenophobia aside (and this is the writers’ work, not necessarily the original story — haven’t read the books, correct me if I’m wrong), she’s done nothing but storm in waving her dragons around - pardon, her “CHILDREN” - and demanded that everyone automatically fall over themselves to accept her. The minute she sees how effortlessly people flock to RealKing!/LoveOfHerLife!Jon, she gets ugly. Were you watching her face when Tormund was talking our ears off about his little crow, and how proud he was, dropping the k- word and all? Her face was the UGLIEST thing I’ve ever seen on her in all the seasons. Like, really, is that all she is? Just an empowered woman who’s become a tyrant and needs the love of her life to stay under her boot heel to remain empowered? Apparently, that’s what the writers are going for. Daughter of a mad king? Yeah, she is. Should she go ahead and incinerate half the kingdom in order to sit on smouldering ashes? If that’s what her character development has reduced her to, then I say let her have it. I’m still hoping she’ll realise before it’s too late, and actually take the chance to be happy (though doubtful at this stage.) I believed in her, right up until the moment she set foot on Westeros and started proving us all wrong, and he really isn’t different from the others “she’s just more of the same.” She’s made it clear that love is only second best for her, whereas for Jon it’s everything without abandoning honour, so it’s going to get REAL INTERESTING REAL QUICK, the power play for the future of the Kingdom.
***
Arya
Just this: I can’t believe y’all would actually take her out of character and have her accept Gendry’s proposal for a life she’s NEVER wanted, even before her father died. Have we been watching two different shows or something? She still needs to kill Cersei, and has hinted that life for her will not be at Winterfell, because after all, what is there for her there? A brother she doesn’t truly recognise and still nearly gladly died defending, a sister she’s learned to respect but who doesn’t need assassins roaming around to protect her, a title she’s never wanted, and the beloved one who actually turns out to be her cousin and real heir to the throne. Can we see how this life is not hers? Regardless of whether Gendry can make her happy, she stayed true and that’s beautiful, ok?
THE ENDING: I just hope they do all characters right at this stage (Avengers, anyone?) regardless of who gets to sit on that bloody chair, and everyone gets what they DESERVE even if it’s not what they (or we) want.

Kala rant anon here: what you say about fandom on that site is everything wrong in online fandom. I don't believe criticism is 100% wrong. The important parts are how, when, where, why. Tearing things down, phrasing opinions cruelly, pushing negativity into everything, constantly bringing up the same issues, all that makes it toxic. And that's everywhere. "I don't like [song]"? Ok. "[Song] is [bad, period; Wakana's voice; Kajiura's flaws; Keiko never gets to sing]"? No. We've heard that enough.
Hi there and welcome back!
Yeah, those are not issues exclusive to the Kalafandom. I am seeing thatkind of stuff in all of my fandoms. It’s just that I am not as invested in anyof my other fandoms so it doesn’t bother me as much there. The internet is botha blessing and a curse. Thanks to the internet fandoms are thriving, everythingis readily available and it’s never been easier to interact with fellow fans. However, the internet has also enabled people to be assholes without ever havingto suffer any consequences. The degree of fandom involvement is also muchhigher than it used to be. This has led people to believe that they areentitled to interfere with the object of their admiration. Back in the dayinvolvement was limited to fan art, fanfiction, fan theories etc…In the presentday people think that being a fan gives you the right to dictate the things youlove. In their eyes they OWN their favourite work or favourite star and ifthings don’t go according to plan, all hell breaks loose. The truth is, thecreators own their works and the stars/idols own themselves. They can dowhatever they want, whether or not the fandom likes that is irrelevant. If yourvision doesn’t align with your favourite writer’s/singer’s vision then you areobviously in the wrong fandom. Or maybe you have just outgrown your fandom, it’stime to move on. Unfortunately, these days fans are like spoiled little kids. Theyare stubborn and want to change things so they are happy with the result, they tryto force their vision on the creators and everyone else who listens. *sighs* It’sa real shame…
What you say about criticism is absolutely right. While I will be the firstone to admit that I am not a fan of criticism and I personally have a hard timebeing criticised, I KNOW that it’s not actually a bad thing when it’s done RIGHT.As you say, it’s all about how it is done. Here’s a hint, if you are beingdisrespectful then it is NOT done right. If you are using a ton of unnecessarynasty words, it’s NOT done right. And don’t get me wrong, I am not saying thatbecause I am a prude or anything. I don’t mind cursing, I actually curse a lot.But there’s a time and place to use your bad mouth and it’s not when you aretalking about something/someone you claim to love. Maybe I am old-fashionedbecause I seem to be the only one who thinks that way. I don’t know…there areso many things that don’t make sense to me….
Anonymous said:                                                                            Often, the criticism is not about technical things or things which can be improved on - but rather silly things like the choice of clothes. Some people were actually very funny to me becuase they sounded like judgemental teenage girls gossiping... saying something like "Wakana need to work on stopping her notes being flat" is totally fine, but adding tones of nasty words and then criticising her style/look that she has went for. If you dislike the whole style of wakana's work just leave!
Helloagain!
Adding this comment to this post since I guess it is adirect response to it. Yup, most criticism doesn’t have anything to do with positive/constructivefeedback, most of the stuff I am reading are attacks below the belt. If you arecriticising their style, sense of fashion or singing preference then that is apersonal attack. To each their own, it’s something Ihave been taught as a little child and I still live by this idiom. I wishothers would too.
And as I have mentioned in a previous post, I believe theyalways do their best. Their best might not always be what we consider to be „good“from a critical point of view but there is not much we can do about it....Complaining about it again and again won’t change anything about it...
And yes, many fans do indeed sound like gossiping teenagegirls

Seeing him for the first time
Pairing- Ohmtoonz
Warning- Some bad language and some smut towards the end.
Hi guys this is my first post and I've had this idea for a while now and finally decided to share it.
Hope you enjoy!
●~~~~~~~~~~●
Luke and Ryan had always been friends ever since they started playing video games to joining discord chats just to talk to each other. It wasn't until one of the videos that Luke started to question Ryan.
'Ohm you son of a bitch look to your right!'
'Why theres nothing- oh wait now I see it,'
'Delirious find an escape! Now!' Evan exclaimed.
'Gah- hes right there, theres no way I can just- oh he's so stupid,' Jon replied.
'Ohm what are you doing you saw him like that why did you leave?!'
'Cause it's not him I shot at it and it didnt- oh yeah it did...'
'Ohm you stupid fuck go back to there and kill him!'
'Delirious nows your chance!' Evan said.
'Vannos- gah- Vannos hes right on top of me,'
'Shit I am?'
'Oh right I am,'
Seekers Win
'Goddamit Delirious you had 6 seconds left you could have ran!'
'I'm sorry I was panicking!'
'Yes Ohm you beautiful man!' Luke cheered.
*Insert Ohms adorable laugh here*
'You dont know I'm beautiful but atleast we won,'
'Ohm I bet you are beautiful I hope one day I get to see you in real life then I'll decide that,'
'Oh then I guess I'll tell you...I've decided to meet you in person...'
'Wait seriously?'
'I mean yeah it only seems fair and its getting kinda boring telling people I wont do a face reveal so maybe letting you react to how I look will change my mind'
'Well then when are you meeting me?'
'In three days...'
'Fuck that's great Ohm!'
'Uh huh'
'If you guys are done flirting we would like to begin the next round and hope it has meaning,' Jon interrupted laughing alongside with Evan.
'Oh yeah right ok then,' Ryan said.
●~~~~~~~~~~●
The next couple of days were quick and Luke wanted to make Ryan feel comfortable in meeting him in person, seeing as he knows about the fear others get when doing so as he remembers Brocks nervous laugh when brinign it up in a video. Ryan however wasn't bothered at all he couldn't wait to meet him in person, he wouldn't to see the man in real life that made him feel warmth in his stomach when recording or streaming together. Luke wanted to meet the guy behind to bandana and meet the man that sent him shivers down his spine and tickles in his chest.
Messages-
OhmWrecker- Hey Toonzy
Cartoonz- Hey Ohm I forgot to tell you not to be nervous and that I will respect how you look
OhmWrecker- Aww thnxs but I'm bot sweating about it, if you dont like how I look then that could help me improve my appearance for everyone :P
Cartoonz- Ohm I'm being serious I wont criticise your looks or appearance I will respect you
OhmWrecker- Kk then I'm boarding the plane now
Cartoonz- Alright text me when your almost here
OhmWrecker- Will do Toonzy
Luke waited for the text from Ryan and was excited to see him and when Ryan texted that hes be landing in 10 minutes and Luke jumped into his car and drove over to the airport.
He waited for Ryan to text him that they had landed and raced down the airport to find his plane. He found where the plane was supposed to land and waited there for 5 minutes. Ryan texted that they had to wait for a kid with a wheel chair to be helped off first and then they could go.
He watched the passengers walk off the plane and reclaim there luggage before they left. Luke looked at his watch jt was 16:36 and his plane had landed at 16:30 then he saw him.
He saw a short man with a little suitcase and backpack with grey sweatpants and a grey hoodie stumble off the plane he looked exhausted. His hair was ruffled and his eyes wore bags which hung onto the bottom of his eyes for life. His hoodie covered up half of each eye and the top of his head. His clothes were messy but even Luke had to admit that he was breathtaking.
'Uhh Ohm?' He blushed lightly.
'Y-yeah but s-seeing as I'm here n-now call me R-Ryan,' Ryan smiled lightly but clearly not covering his cheeks firm burning up with embarrassment as he probably knew that he looked horrible.
'I- I- i- your beautiful, I mean not beautiful but- I'm not saying your horrible your actually gorgeous what I'm trying to say is-'
'Toonzy dont I know what your trying to say but dont say it cause I'm too tired to be flustered,'
Luke caught on to the nickname Ryan gave him for ages and he was hit by the face he made when he heard him and saw him say his nickname.
'Ohm-I mean, uhh, Ryan, you know my real name why do you call me that still- I mean I'm not complaining, ha haaaa, but why?'
'I mean it's cute, also it suits you...'
'Well if you call me Toonzy, can I call you... anytime?' Luke finger gunned towards Ryan.
'Dont, just dont,'
Luke pouted.
And Ryan mimicked him pouting even more dramatically causing him to twitch his lip.
'Well we better get to my place before anyone realises who I am and start to question who you are.'
'Yeah right let's go,'
●~~~~~~~~~~●
The two men walked towards Luke's car their fingers touch for a split second and intertwined sometimes on their way through the airport Luke realised it was a habit that Ryan couldn't help but do and Luke adored it.
When they got to the car Luke opened the door for Ryan and walked around the other side to the drivers seat.
The ride to Luke's house was silent and Luke couldn't help but sometimes stare at Ryan through the mirror. Ryab was like a little kid witnessing snow for the first time, he stared out into the street where the street light illuminated the pathway creating a yellow pattern along the side of the road for guidance.
They turned into a driveway and Luke sniffled a couple of times before stopping the car.
Ryan went to reach out for the handle and yanked on it, it didnt seen to open, he tried again until he was fed up and turned to Luke who was laughing at his attempts to get out his car.
'You bitch, unlock the door,' Ryan hissed
'What if I dont want to~'
Luke seemed to be flirty now and closet than he was before. Luke put his hand on Ryan's thigh and said.
'Why don't you unlock the door~'
Ryan reached over to unlock the door which the switch was on Luke's side until he was grabbed by Luke and pulled over his lap. His face facing Luke and his body pressed up against the steering wheel.
'I know over just 'met' you but over the years I feel like we've had a strong connection,' Luke admitted looking down to Ryan's thighs.
'I feel like we click you know,' he started to trail his hand at the back of Ryan and slid his hand down his back, until Ryan's ass was cupped in his hand, which made Ryan squeak a little.
'So you know you can trust me right?'
Ryan nodded he knew he could trust him and the thought of him on his body made his desire for Luke grow.
He pukked Luke in and kissed him, luke kissing back stronger, he loved that about Luke he took things like a competition.
He pulled Ryan closet to his body and started to bounce Ryan up and down in his crotch. Then he waited for Ryan's moan for him to give more speed. He started to bite little kisses onto his neck and shoulders which made Ryan give out little moans.
Then Luke stopped which made Ryan moan and desire more.
'Ryan will you be my boyfriend,' he said nervously smiling at him faces red and breathless.
'Of course,' Ryan panted before grabbing Luke in the a passionate kiss and grinding his hips into Luke's body.
'I love you, Ryan,'
'I love you too, Toonzy,'

some of the comments in the YouTube comment  section
“So in other words slut shaming is wrong in real life but completely ok in fiction. Kinda shows what these people truly think about themselves and their scantily dressed sisters.” “ Wait a minute an sjw is attacking my girl velvet? Oh boy, I could make a huge thesis paper on why this person's claims just doesn't work but all I'll say is just because velvet is dressed the way she is it doesn't make her in any way weak at all. Moreover it's the fact that she is still a strong woman regardless of her fashion sense. Her journey her struggles and her character development were all the things that bundled up into the reasons why I love her so much as a female lead and as a character “
“ Thanks once again for protecting our waifus form out of control censors and rabid sjw feminists you are the best. All these girls looks beautiful, powerful and unique compared to their boring and outright puritan designs we she in western games. Have you seen the female fighters in MK11 they all wear burqas just with different colors so unimaginative... “
“What kind  of Catch 22 nonsense is this? So if a female character is made by a man then it's shameful because it's appealing to the male gaze. But if it's made by a woman then it's internalized misogyny and still appealing to the male gaze. It would be nice if they pick which is fine and what isn't. So the ideal solution is to just not have female characters and just have male characters, but then it would be seen as sexist to not include female characters. You literally cannot win.Show less” “ "She didn't choose the outfit, the creator did" No shit “
Funny story: “High heels” as we call them today where originally designed to be worn by Nobles (mainly MEN) while riding on hose back. They where never meant to be worn as walking shoes by anyone, regardless of gender, even less so as dress shoes. The where never originally designed to support a person’s weight. The long heels where used in the same way as a cowboy would use the spurs on their boots, its one of the reasons they’re so sharp.
“ Femininity is in part defined by both what men want from women and what women are willingly to do. Generally speaking women want to be beautiful and men want women that way too. It seems to me that these feminist believe feminine beauty is only for men when it's convenient for them. When it's their clothing it's "sex positive" and empowerering when it's animated characters it's "internalized misogyny". It's a double standard that they use like a weapon. Ps. One that occasionally works. Like when Hi-rez covered up Furia's thighs because of complaints. “
“ Fictional characters having no real-world agency has to be the biggest non-argument I've seen and is definitive proof that these losers know they have nothing to complain about, and are just doing it because they need to complain about something to make themselves feel good, but complaining about real issues is too hard apparently. Going by the logic of fictional character having no real-world agency, it's wrong to make any character anything because the fictional character has no say in the matter. They can't be an orphan, a female, an [insert race here], [insert sexual preference here], etc. Heck, or even existing in the first place!
“ Actually Velvet's clothes kinda reflect her state of mind. The tattered state signifies her broken condition while the red and black colours allude to how she has become a violent daemon who only wants revenge against Artorius. But it's not just her clothing that fits her character but that of the other characters in the game as well. Aside from the obvious main characters, I noticed a theme with the uniform of the Abbey high ups. The less the person values emotions, the less colors he has other than  the standard white and gold. We see Artorius mostly lacking any other colour other than the white and gold while Teresa and Oscar have little more. Laphicet has more blue and a collar (can signify his enslavement) while Eleanor wears clothes that are mostly blue with little white. And finally with Shigure, his colors are a contrast as he merely fights for the Abbey because he feels like it and not because he is committed to its ideals. Coming  back to Velvet, I consider her to be one of the best designed female characters in fictional media. Not only does she possess traits that make her an empowering female character but she also has a decent amount of other likeable traits as well. On top of that, she is not devoid of human flaws  like how she is so obsessed with her revenge that she does not care much about anything else, leading to situations like when Phi was forced to open a portal to the leylines or how Innominat almost made her sink into despair. Overall a good character who is also quite human. And this in turn actually fits the themes of human morality in the story really well. While people criticise the slow starting part of the game, it actually serves the purpose of showing us how circumstances changed Velvet from a sweet top waifu material to someone akin to a genderbent Guts/Edmond Dantes. Then as the story progresses, we see her acting like a villain but still root for her because we know what she has been through. Then because of Phi, we do learn that her human side still remained within her and later Phi is able to help her. In the end, she kills Artorious not out of revenge motivated by pure hatred but because the Shepard had lost sight of his own self and ideals. I  noticed that most of the "maxims" Artorius talks about don't exactly feel like maxims when you compare them with Immanuel Kant's philosophy (someone who Artorius seems to follow quite a bit as Kant considers actions driven by principles to be moral instead of those driven by emotions, which he considers irrational) as they have a definite condition/purpose behind them (such as controlling emotions IN ORDER TO control the tide of battle.). From what I read about the Maxim's Kant Spoke of, those maxims were supposed to be unconditional i.e general truth like do good. So we see that Arthur's maxims have conditions which contradicts Kant's definition. Except one. Don't despair. The same one Velvet reminds Artorius as she stabs him. In the end Arthur actually became more of an act utilitarian in his wish to create a peaceful world by removing emotions. That's some really amazing writing right there. Makes me glad I got this game and made me more interested in the Tales series. Hopefully we can see Velvet and Phi reunited in Crestoria. He deserves to be with her far more than Sieg deserves to be with Jeanne. “

Why Lena Dunham isn’t a feminist icon.
Lena Dunham is many things, but a feminist icon isn’t one of them. She doesn’t deserve to be called a feminist icon and shouldn’t be praised at all. When has Dunham ever done anything for women beside it being about herself? Lena Dunham is a white feminist and being a white feminist isn’t a compliment. The definition of white feminist is someone whom discredits women of colour and don’t seem to care about other women beside their own race. White feminist don’t seem to help out women of colour and they complain when women of colour “don’t speak out” about things like sexual abuse, the mistreatment of women when really they (WOC) have been the ones speaking out about those topic, but you just weren’t listening at all. Dunham has shown us from time to time that she’s the definition of white Feminism but for some people is considered to be a feminist icon. Whenever she’s make a bad choice, her first instinct is to apologise and call it a “mistake”. When you keeping making “mistakes” and your solution is to apologise all the time, it doesn’t become a mistake anymore and the apologies don’t mean anything at all.
Her comments about Abortion
Her first “mistake” was when she said that she was sad about never having had an abortion. Lena Dunham doesn’t have any kids, it isn’t ok say that you are sad about not having an abortion at all. Abortion is a serious thing, but many women get criticised for doing even though you have no idea why the woman decided to in the first place. She was raped, she can’t raise a baby financially, she isn’t ready to be a mum or maybe she was forced to. Dunham sounds delusional for saying that quote. She later apologised for the quote, but those “apologies” don’t seem to end there.
Her supposed anger and lie towards Odell Beckham Jr
The second “mistake” happened at a Met Gala, when she wrote in her feminist newsletter Lenny Letter, that she was upset Odell Beckham Jr. didn’t want have sex with her. I’m sorry you were bummed that a black man didn’t want have sex with her, but shows you a bit more about what your personality really is. She was describing Odell Beckham Jr. as a misogynist because she thought he judging her without even saying anything, “I was sitting next to Odell Beckham Jr., and it was so amazing because it was like he looked at me and he determined I was not the shape of a woman by his standards” she said. She apologise to Odell Beckham Jr and said that they never met before so how come you thought he was judging your base on your looks, when you didn’t even interact with him at the Met Gala.
Comparing a website to domestic abuse
In 2015 at a podcast interview, Dunham compared Gawker to an abusive husband. Gawker was a blog that was founded by Nick Denton and Elizabeth Spiers In 2002 and defuncted in 2016. Dunham said “it’s literally if I read it, it’s like going back to a husband who beat me in the face. It doesn’t make sense”. Comparing a website to a serious situation like abuse isn’t ok all. She apologised by saying domestic violence isn’t a joke, but seem to have deleted the post.
Comparing the Bill Cosby Accusations to the holocaust
In 2014, Comedian and American’s dad Bill Cosby was accused of sexual abuse by many women dating back to the 1960s. Many celebrities were discussing their opinion about the allegations against Cosby including Judd Apatow whom seemed very vocal about it in which people called it an obsession. In January 2015, Dunham said in an interview that Judd Apatow’s obsession with Bill Cosby is like people being obsessed with Holocaust meaning we shouldn’t talk about either of them. Cosby’s sex crime was a traumatic event towards his survivors he hurt and abuse, while the holocaust was the one of most horrifying events that happened in history and neither shouldn’t be not talked about.
Hipster Racism
Lena Dunham’s “feminist” newsletter the Lenny Letter got shut down during 2017. A journalist named Zinzi Clemons used to write for Lenny Letter, but left the company. She wrote an article about she knew Dunham when they were in college and said the group that Dunham hanged out used hipster racism. Hipster racism is basically saying something offensive or racist than defending it by saying it was a joke. You can also say that being hipster racist is when someone used the term “I’m not racist. I have black friends”. Although many people believe that Dunham doesn’t hang out with those people, Zinzi has said that many of those friends have guest starred in the TV show, GIRLS.
Defending an alleged rapist and discrediting a sexual assault survivor
In November 2017, an actress named Aurora Perrineau accused GIRLS writer Murray Miller of sexual assault. When the news broke out, Lena Dunham and GIRLS executive producer Jenni Konner publicly defended Miller by saying that his allegation fit the 3% of the false accusations. This ironic since months before, Dunham tweeted the only thing women don’t lie about is rape. This is very hypocritical because she basically saying that women don’t lie about rape, but won’t believe the woman whom accused her friend of sexual assault. Recently, Lena Dunham made an apology to the sexual assault survivor and that she thought Perrineau was lying due the insider information she was given, but get this Dunham never had any evidence or information to prove Perrineau was lying. This upset a lot of people including myself because 1) Aurora Perrineau is a black biracial woman and women of colour are always silenced or discredited by white feminist like Lena Dunham herself and 2) discrediting a survivor is a very low thing you can do. This is one of the worst things that Lena Dunham has ever done.
Every time, Lena Dunham makes a bad choice, her apologies become more and more excuses and bullshit each day. When apologising to Aurora Perrineau about discrediting her accusations on Murray Miller, Lena Dunham blamed Patriarchy. Patriarchy is something that women have to go through, women in the middle eastern have to face patriarchy every single day due men having control with them from father to husband. However Dunham discrediting Perrineau isn’t patriarchy. Many people think the reason why we don’t like her because she isn’t pretty, we could care less about her looks because we aren’t judging because she’s not pretty, because she makes similar mistakes all over again and expect us to forgive her. There are some people who’ll defend Dunham by saying how we should give her a break because she’s a rape victim or how she can’t have kids due getting her left ovary removed. All of this are sad, but that doesn’t change the fact, she’s a piece of shit. I don’t think Lena Dunham ever worked with the me Too movement of the Times Up Now than led on. Earlier this year, Dunham posted a group photo of the women whom are taking part in the Time’s Up initiative, however actress Tessa Thompson called out Dunham by saying Dunham was never present during the meetings and discussions, Dunham only seem to present when it was photo time. Dunham may considered to a perpetrator, when she wrote that controversial paragraph in her book, Not that kind of girl when she talked about how when she was seven, she examined her little sister’s genitals, bribing her with candy for kisses and casually masturbating while lying in bed next to her. Although child psychologists, sexual abuse experts and researchers in human sexuality researchers reject it as being sexual abuse like many people believe. It’s still creepy and disgusting to many people who don’t see this as normal behaviour.
These are many of the reasons why Lena Dunham isn’t a feminist icon and how she fits the definition of white Feminism. I don’t know why she’s given a platform, when it clear that not many want to hear what she has to say or even care what she does. Even Me Too founder, Tarana Burke isn’t a big fan of Lena Dunham. Like I said before, when has Lena Dunham has ever done anything for women beside it being about herself?
