most days I'm so chill with the fact I'm non-contact with my father, it was the best decision, I hate him, my life is so much more peaceful without him

also makoto is such a great antagonist. he has consistently been a fantastic character from his first appearance until the very end. the twists, the tragedy of him, the motives. all of it is so good it all makes sense and in the final showdown i was like yknow what hes right!!! i literally sided with him so much he makes me so fucking sad i love him.

Pyros is being thrown around like a MUPPET when not being out quipped by his twin and outsmarted by his niece and nephew. his revenge plan isn't going very well right now, I gotta say 😏😏😏

this chapter has been SO FUCKING HARD, as an aside. I've been working on it for like, 2? maybe 3? months at this point. Every read through I'm like "this is AWFUL" because describing motions during elemental based fights is HARD and I only know like, 7 words! (I'd like to thank not only god but also jesus for microsoft word's thesaurus feature)

Like, how do people do it? Write fight scenes that flow so well and have such lovely, DIFFERENT words that evoke such FUN and FAST PACED scenes while still sounding the way a fancy garden looks???? It's INSANE. IT'S SO HARD. I WANT TO EXPLODE THINGS

In theory I can be good at French bc language learning (at least the grammar) is just pattern recognition and I’m a math guy I can spot patterns n I write halfway decent bc of that (not by any means good, esp for this being my fourth year of French class), the main thing is the class moves at a snail’s pace and I also just do not apply myself (I like to think I could be so sexy and awesome at French if I simply willed myself slightly harder) and also my spoken French is “pas bon” so. Y’know.
