Super Robot Rollcall: Londo Bell's Late Conscripts
Hathaway Noa
Tumblr media
"We can't just all shout over each other, Quess!"
Age: 13
Voice Actor: Nozomu Sasaki
Bright Noa's young son. One of Tomino's favorite archetypes, Hathaway is an aimless young boy looking for purpose who finds it in the wrong place, and suffers for it. He`s kind at his core, but his impulsive nature can lead him to commit mistakes that he can never take back...
He and Quess are often maligned by those who don't like their subplot, but i'm not in that camp! I like them quite a bit, Hathaway especially. I really ought to get around to reading his novel...
Tumblr media
Hathaway's case isn't nearly as bad as Kayra's, but he's still not particularly good. Middling offensive stats, average at best Evasion and Accuracy, and once again, an uncharacteristically high Defense stat for a UC pilot (again, emphasis on this qualifier; he's no Super). His Spirit Commands are also similar to Kayra's; no Focus, and a lot of Commands more fit for a Super pilot.
On the brighter side, on top of having slightly better stats than Kayra all around, he also happens to be a Newtype! Though he's obviously not on Amuro's level, it helps his survival chances a lot. He also gets Blocking up to level 5, which while not as impressive as Kayra's feat, is still notably high.
However, all of this is still hampered by the fact that he won't be with us to the end of the game, and for basically the entire time that he'll be around, he'll be stuck in the Jegan, one of the worst machines in the game. Poor Hathaway.
Fun Fact: Despite being playable in SRW 4, in F/Final, he is reduced to an NPC. According to an interview with Takanobu Terada, long time SRW producer, on a Sega Saturn SRW F Final strategy guide published by Keibunsha ("セガサターン必勝法スペシャル スーパーロボット大戦F完結編を一生楽しむ本", page 124), this is both because he wasn't a formal member of the Londo Bell in the source material, and because he felt it was a cop-out to include Hathaway without his Ξ Gundam from the Hathaway's Flash novel (which wouldn't appear in SRW until SRW V in 2017). This might be part of the reason his appearances after that point became quite scant, notably having a 12 year gap between his appearance in this game, SRW R, and his next appearance in SRW Z3.
Chan Agi
Tumblr media
"Right now, we fight as comrades."
Voice Actress: Mitsuki Yayoi
A technician for the Londo Bell, Chan helped Amuro with tuning the v Gundam. Amuro trusts her and her skills a lot, and in turn, she regards Amuro highly, which led to them becoming romantically involved.
She can be quite curt when she's serious about her work, and has something of an impulsive streak (like most Tomino characters!). This multifaceted nature seems to make Quess distrustful of her in the movie as yet another dishonest adult, but she seems to truly care for Amuro.
Tumblr media
Chan's statline is very similar to Hathaway's; it's mostly average, landing them in the limbo inbetween Amuro and Raul's incredible statlines, and Kayra's abyss of despair. Like Hathaway, she's also a Newtype, with very similar growths to his, but unlike Hathaway, her offensive stats are absolutely abysmal.
Her big differentiating factor, however, is her Spirits list; On top of starting out with Focus and learning Valor soon, she already comes pre-equipped with Luck, meaning we can finally make some cash money dollars off of bosses again!
Much like Hathaway, she won't be with us to the end, and she's also effectively unit-locked, though to the far less sad Re-GZ.
Fun Fact: Due to the prevalence of both CCA and Zeta Gundam in SRW, the games have a sort of tradition of making Chan and Beltorchika fight over Amuro in a fierce love triangle. In Shin SRW, which did not feature Zeta, she instead competes over Amuro's affections with... the Banpresto-original SRX Team's Aya Kobayashi!?

Kotomi has a brother? Poor kid! He was probably the first kid who got the mask considering Junko had the Student Council’s families captive.
Tumblr media
Ye-Yeah, seems ma-many of them were kidnapped by her which none of in Class 78-A were aware of this but maybe Mukuro became her body double like she did in the killing game and the worse part is they all got killed anyway...
Tumblr media
However only three who were able to escape; Sachi Kisaragi, Nozomu Ikuta and Hiroyuki Nishizawa - Karen Kisaragi's mother, Kotomi Ikuta's second younger brother and Kiriko Nishizawa's younger brother which while the others were getting slaughter they found an exit and escape.
Tumblr media
If it helps, Mrs. Kisaragi and those 2 kids are under protection by the Kisaragi Foundation so they are safe.

Aaaay, happy STS, Moshke! :D I'm aiming for To Die Among the Stars here, but this would be just as funny with Legends of Halara too: If your main characters were sucked into our world, The Devil Is a Part-Timer-style, how well would they fare? What would they do to survive, and most importantly, who is working at McDonald's?
Oh goodness. I’m trying to flesh out TDATS more so basically all my answers for the foreseeable future are going to be about that cast.
I’m going to pick a few random secondary characters for this one:
1. Acorn—I think xe would actually like a lot about our modern world. Xe is ADHD af and would enjoy the fast paced social media as well as actually having a way to connect with other people without needing to go out and find them. Xe wouldn’t mind working in a restaurant, with its fast pace and all, but would be much better on the cooking side of things than customer service.
2. Nozomu—he was a small league wrestler in the future, but I think he would enjoy being some kind of kids’ sport coach in our world. He would enjoy how official things are, the required background checks and official programs both for social aid and community involvement that are mostly lacking in his world.
3. Kitty—she pays more attention to grander social trends than most of the others and would know that our modern era is right before the great shift where we finally got our shit together, saved the Earth, and had about 50 great years before society slid back towards what they know. She would be fascinated from a historical perspective and glad to know that people can be as kind and loving now as ever—but also very disappointed to find our world almost as inaccessible as hers. With one major difference, of course—all schools must be accessible for all students. She would like to teach sped I think, but would never manage to finish an actual school program without getting bored, so would probably end up as a writer and making a lot of YouTube videos about people and society.
4. Twig—oh gosh. She doesn’t do well in any setting ever, but she also doesn’t care much. She would get a kick out of social media and immediately watch all the cute animal videos, followed by binging YouTube videos teaching every kind of skill she could reasonably practice, just because. She was a mechanic and would be fine still being a mechanic, except in our world I think she would get fired for her poor customer service and liberties taken with what not to try on engines.
5. Du—well, for one thing he could get proper care for his depression. I mean, if he could navigate the system and get insurance to pay (there is some potential tragic humor there). He would love the variety of even low paying jobs. I think he would like to work in a fiber arts store otherwise staffed by old ladies, and they think he’s just adorable. He’s not the most experienced knitter there but he will keep trying on a new style until he has it down, and in this one area he’s surprisingly good at customer service.
6. Zjav—he’s the one actually working at McDonald’s. He’s the technically-good-customer-service-but-in-a-deadpan-way type. He makes his coworkers laugh, sometimes on purpose and sometimes with his random cluelessness.
Also, I like to imagine all of them trying to navigate a modern grocery store. It’s not like they don’t go shopping in the future, but it’s very different.

I recommend Tenchi Muyo (the OVA, at least,) Tenchi Muyo GXP, Tenchi Muyo War on Geminar, Photon The Idiot Adventures, Kanokon (which MIGHT be one of the earliest examples), and I'm pretty sure both Monster Musume and Invaders of the Rokujouma are gonna end up being poly, but I could be wrong.
[WHEW this is a long one! I'm gonna put it under a readmore just to save some people's dashes! As always, thank you for the recommendations!!]
I've been meaning to try out Tenchi Muyo for so long! There was a time where there was a TV Tropes page called "Tenchi Ending" that was made for series that have poly endings. I think it's called something else now, cus I never found it again any time I looked. I've wanted to check it out ever since, it's just a little intimidating! There's so much Tenchi content! lol
I'll just include the synopsis for the OG Tenchi Muyo! Ryououki here:
Seventeen-year-old Tenchi Masaki grew up hearing stories about how his ancestor used a sword to seal a demon inside a cave seven hundred years ago. When curiosity gets the better of him, Tenchi goes to the cave and stumbles across the sword from the legend. Thinking that the story is nothing more than a fairy tale, he removes the blade and inadvertently releases the demon, who turns out to be a space pirate named Ryouko Hakubi. Furious about being trapped for so long, she attacks Tenchi, but he is able to repel her with the sword, awakening his inner power. After seeing this, Ryouko takes an interest in her unlikely savior and decides to crash at his place. As if it were a chain reaction, more alien women—Aeka Jurai Masaki, an uptight princess from the planet Jurai; Sasami, Aeka's sweet younger sister; Mihoshi Kuramitsu, a ditzy Galactic Police Officer; and Washuu Hakubi, a wisecracking genius—gradually come in contact with Tenchi and begin living with him. Through his encounters with these five women, Tenchi begins to learn more about his ancestry, newfound power, and the looming threat lurking beyond the skies.

As for Photon, that's a new one to me. It's available on Crunchyroll in the US at least; everything I'm seeing about it suggests its pretty adult though! ANN lists "graphic depictions of sex, drug use and bloodshed" under its content warnings, so there's that. Admittedly, not what I expected based on the synopsis or cover lol. The protag looks so sad about it too!
Photon Earth is a young and gentle boy with superhuman strength and "Baka" (meaning "idiot" in Japanese) scribbled on his forehead (apparently by his troublemaking friend Aun Freya). One day, he finds himself engaged to the beautiful fugitive pilot Keyne Acqua after writing "baka" on her forehead. And that's the least of his worries as he must protect both Aun and Keyne from the evil Papacharino, who seeks to steal the secrets of "Aho" (another word for idiot) energy from Keyne's grandfather's ship.
Tumblr media
Kanokon, I have heard of! That's one I saw all over the place (especially in amvs) for a couple of years. I believe it's a shota series? Seems like the protag is the same age as the love interests, but he certainly LOOKS like a little baby lmao
Having spent most of his life in the country, Kouta is understandably nervous when he moves in with his grandma to attend a high school in the big city. He hoped to make a good impression, but having Chizuru, a beautiful fox spirit, hanging off his arm didn't seem to be the sort of image he wanted to have. She's not alone in her love for Kouta, either. Nozomu, a wolf spirit, as well as other youkai have their sights set on the hapless country boy.
Tumblr media
Monster Musume (Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou / Everyday Life with Monster Girls) is one I've seen a bit of, but a while back it got removed from like, every streaming service in the US for some reason! That's another one with a really reluctant protag as well lol (though it makes sense for him, poor guy!) I didn't get to far into it, but I know it's absolutely brimming with fanservice, for those who enjoy that. (Also...Miia is sooooo cute)
With his parents abroad, Kimihito Kurusu lived a quiet, unremarkable life alone until monster girls came crowding in! This alternate reality presents cutting-edge Japan, the first country to promote the integration of non-human species into society. After the incompetence of interspecies exchange coordinator Agent Smith leaves Kimihito as the homestay caretaker of a Lamia named Miia, the newly-minted "Darling" quickly attracts girls of various breeds, resulting in an ever-growing harem flush with eroticism and attraction. Unfortunately for him and the ladies, sexual interactions between species is forbidden by the Interspecies Exchange Act! The only loophole is through an experimental marriage provision. Kimihito's life becomes fraught with an abundance of creature-specific caveats and sensitive interspecies law as the passionate, affectionate, and lusty women hound his every move, seeking his romantic and sexual affections. With new species often appearing and events materializing out of thin air, where Kimihito and his harem go is anyone's guess!
Tumblr media
Invaders of the Rokujouma is another new one to me! The plot sounds fun; I'd absolutely take an apartment full of ghost girls if it means I don't have to pay rent! lmao
Due to young Koutarou's financial circumstances, he is forced to live in a small rokujouma (6-tatami apartment) on a budget of 5000 yen a month. On the plus side, he lives rent-free, but on the minus side, that's because room 106 of Corona Apartments is cursed. The ghost is a cute young girl and hijinks ensue when she tries to drive him out. Between the haunting, Koutarou's nosy neighbors, and a self-styled magical girls flying to the unneeded rescue, there's way too much for the impoverished young man to handle.

anyways.heres part one of that wattpad fangan infodump
Prologue:
The protagonist, Kuro Baiorin, is the Ultimate Violinist, but instead of Hopes Peak this takes place in Nozomu Academy. And as all good protags do, she meets the cast and stuff like that. here we go
Tama Damu, Ultimate Basketball Player (he)
Gin Kagakuro, Ultimate Scientist (he)
Ichika Odoriko, Ultimate Ballerina (she)
Reina Shitateya, Ultimate Fashion Designer (she)
Haru Hana, Ultimate Gardener (MEE <3) (they)
Toshiro Joboshi, Ultimate Hatter (MY BOYFRIEND <3) (he)
Kei, Ultimate ??? (edgy emo bastard) (he)
Ryuto Gijutsu, Ultimate Hacker (he)
Mei Tanoshi, Ultimate Rollerskater (she)
Akito Akaibara, Ultimate Actor (no he is not a blackened) (he)
Arashi Tsuyoi, Ultimate Collector (she)
Hinami Kieirna, Ultimate Linguist (she)
Mizuki Kureizu, Ultimate Escape Artist (she has 2 ultimates, one cover up Ultimate & a real one you discover at the end. her cover up ultimate is ableist so I’ll pretend that we always knew she was an escape artist, it’s not a very big part of the story.) (she)
Okashi Mimu, Ultimate Memer (it’s silly but shhh) (he)
Nanako Supure, Ultimate Spray Painter (she)
The class meets Monokuma and he’s like “yeah u homies r in a killing game prepare to die lol” and the class is like “no we wont die we wont kill we will hope!!!” but like in a mature way
Chapter One:
The morning of the first day— Kuro walks in on Arashi and Mizuki fighting. According to everyone else, Mizuki found entertainment in the idea of a killing game. Arashi understandably got pissed off by this and believed Mizuki was a freak, and the two got into a fight. Tama and Kuro get Arashi off Mizuki and Mizuki points out how this is an ultimate confinement and they need to kill eachother. Kuro gives a hope speech and everyone settles down. Also Mizuki is obsessed with Kuro so she listens to Kuro more willingly. Kuro is kinda creeped out by Mizuki’s
Toshiro cooks breakfast for everyone. He presents an excellently done dish that is much better than anyone else could cook, and acts very kindly. Kuro notices how Toshiro is like a “mom friend”, in a way. They continue to notice Toshiro’s kinder mannerisms in the way he resorts to calling everyone by their last name, and even allows Ryuto, who is an orphan to call him dad after Ryuto accidentally did so. Toshiro then brings up their killing game situation (although in a much more polite way) and the class unanimously agrees not to listen to Monokuma and not to kill (which obviously doesnt happen but yk). Also they start calling Toshiro ‘Shiro’ <33 Btw shiro is 6’4 so do what you will with that information
Nanako mentions how empty and plain the fitness room is, and tells everyone she’s going to redecorate it later at night. However, the class is worried after hearing Monokuma’s threat of a killing game, even after Nanako insists that she’ll be fine. Gin and Ryuto program an enforced security system around the fitness room and Tama is kept outside the entire time Nanako is painting to ensure that she won’t die.
Spoiler alert Nanako dies and everyone freaks out bc yk. she’s freaking dead man what do we DO
The class pulls it together and starts investigating and stuff and when trial time is announced, everyone is very much freaked out by dead portrait of Nanako
Kuro, Kei and Ryuto solve the murder as everyone else is basically useless and find out together that Okashi is the killer.
Okashi’s motive was actually rlly deep surprisingly?? His motive was that since he’s the Ultimate Memer his life purpose was making people smile and he was always happy whenever his memes made his sister laugh in particular. He killed because he would do anything to see his sister smile again . poor guy
Okashi tearfully accepts his death while reassuring Kuro that it wasn’t her fault (Kuro thinks Okashi now having to die is her fault), and then Okashi dies so uh. rip okashi
Kuro proceeds to pass out right after his execution and wakes up in the nurses office. Next to her is soup that Toshiro made, and as she cries over Okashi’s death and the guilt of feeling it was her fault because she was the one who discovered he was the killer, Ryuto and Mizuki assure her that without her they’d be dead and yk. words of encouragement yeah???
Also theres this thing called purgatory and all the dead people go there and Nanako forgives okashi for killing her and yay friendship
Chapter 2:
•Everyone gathers to eat breakfast that Shiro made, & thankfully it’s much calmer than the day before. The class noticed Akito and Hinami aren’t present, but before they can worry too much, and the two of them walk in with a stack of papers. They explain they are going to be hosting a play to cheer everyone up after the events that occurred the day before (Nanako & Okashi dying). Kuro is set to play the violin, Ichika’s the main character, Reina is the costume designer, Akito and Hinami are the writers and directors, so on and so forth. Also Akito is a theater kid and keeps freaking everyone out w Heathers refrences. Monokuma gives out the motive videos showing their deepest desire and everyone kinda just ignores them. Kuro watches hers, and it tells her that if she kills, she can stop being a violinist and instead just live normally. Kuro acknowledges that while she doesnt really hold any major interest toward the violin, seeing ppl smile bc of her performances makes it worth it or wtvr smth like that • Kuro, Ryuto & Mizuki then head off and the three see Kei in the library and he’s reading “History of Hopes Peak Academy ''. None of them know what Hopes Peak is, but the name sounds familiar to Kuro. They also unlock another floor of the school as the class trial reward
• Eventually, Kuro, Ryuto and Mizuki leave Kei in the library. After wandering around for a bit, they find the Ultimate Gardener’s lab. Haru’s not in there, but they notice a shed. Monokuma pops up and tells the two that the only way they can get in the shed is by going to Haru and getting the key from them. While the shed has useful garden stuff, it also has saws and axes and its a pretty good place to hide a dead body ngl
The trio go upstairs to a storage closet but discover from Haru that it can only be opened by people who’ve unlocked their Ultimate Lab (Haru, Gin, Akito, Hinami). The trios like “thanks 4 the info” and Harus like “yeah sure” and this is not important at all in future trials. They try to visit Hinamis Ult Lab, but she refuses to let them in. Mizuki offers to just break in when shes not there, but Kuro and Ryuto manage 2 convince her into respecting Hinamis privacy. At dinner, everyone confirms at least two people has seen everyones ultimate lab and they’ve all explored every part of the school they can, and everyone heads to bed.
Anyways its play day!!! Everything is going pretty smoothly and chill and the play is great. Reina is even being a little bit nicer awwwww 🥺🥺🥺 Then there’s some walking heel noises and everyone assumes thats just Ichika walking off stage but then when they open the curtains. Ohemgee Akito got crushed by the chandelier (rip theater kid)
The trial goes on and everyone thinks its Ichika bc of the heels, but then its revealed it was actually just Hinami wearing Ichika’s heels as a way to try and frame Ichika. They figure this out bc thanks 2 Gins autopsy, they manage to discover that Akito actually died of poisoned tea and not being crushed. The cast then realizes that Hinami is the culprit bc she had given Akito tea earlier
When asked her motive, its revealed that Hinami.is actually some girl named Arisu
uh so basically, the actual Hinami had died in a plane crash a few years earlier. Arisu happened to be a rlly big fan of Hinami and was devastated when she found out. Arisu tried pretending she was Hinami, and shockingly the public actually bought it. She was forced to live as Hinami for the rest of her life and leave behind her identity as Arisu (Arisus actual ultimate is identity thief btw!). Akito had discovered this and was going to reveal her identity and Arisu decided to kill him, not only bc she didnt want her identity revealed just yet, but also because her motive video told her that she would be able to stop pretending to be Hinami & finally be herself. Kei is all like “ur a bitch shame on you u r so bad” and everyone else is like “kei wtf” and then Arisu dies
Akito & Arisu meet in purgatory & they forgive eachother and yay happiness
if u read thru this entire thing i love you & ur so cool. ill finish this.one day

Artificial intelligence finds the first stars were not alone By using machine learning and state-of-the-art supernova nucleosynthesis, a team of researchers have found the majority of observed second-generation stars in the universe were enriched by multiple supernovae, reports a new study in The Astrophysical Journal. Nuclear astrophysics research has shown elements including and heavier than carbon in the universe are produced in stars. But the first stars, stars born soon after the Big Bang, did not contain such heavy elements, which astronomers call ‘metals’. The next generation of stars contained only a small amount of heavy elements produced by the first stars. To understand the universe in its infancy, it requires researchers to study these metal-poor stars. Luckily, these second-generation metal-poor stars are observed in our Milky Way Galaxy, and have been studied by a team of Affiliate Members of the Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe (Kavli IPMU) to close in on the physical properties of the first stars in the universe. The team, led by Kavli IPMU Visiting Associate Scientist and The University of Tokyo Institute for Physics of Intelligence Assistant Professor Tilman Hartwig, including Visiting Associate Scientist and National Astronomical Observatory of Japan Assistant Professor Miho Ishigaki, Visiting Senior Scientist and University of Hertfordshire Professor Chiaki Kobayashi, Visiting Senior Scientist and National Astronomical Observatory of Japan Professor Nozomu Tominaga, and Visiting Senior Scientist and The University of Tokyo Professor Emeritus Ken’ichi Nomoto, used artificial intelligence to analyze elemental abundances in more than 450 extremely metal-poor stars observed to date. Based on the newly developed supervised machine learning algorithm trained on theoretical supernova nucleosynthesis models, they found that 68 per cent of the observed extremely metal-poor stars have a chemical fingerprint consistent with enrichment by multiple previous supernovae. The team’s results give the first quantitative constraint based on observations on the multiplicity of the first stars. “Multiplicity of the first stars were only predicted from numerical simulations so far, and there was no way to observationally examine the theoretical prediction until now”, said lead author Hartwig. “Our result suggests that most first stars formed in small clusters so that multiple of their supernovae can contribute to the metal enrichment of the early interstellar medium,” he said. “Our new algorithm provides an excellent tool to interpret the big data we will have in the next decade from on-going and future astronomical surveys across the world” said Kobayashi, also a Leverhulme Research Fellow. “At the moment, the available data of old stars are the tip of the iceberg within the solar neighborhood. The Prime Focus Spectrograph, a cutting-edge multi-object spectrograph on the Subaru Telescope developed by the international collaboration led by Kavli IPMU, is the best instrument to discover ancient stars in the outer regions of the Milky Way far beyond the solar neighborhood.”, said Ishigaki. The new algorithm invented in this study opens the door to make the most of diverse chemical fingerprints in metal-poor stars discovered by the Prime Focus Spectrograph. “The theory of the first stars tells us that the first stars should be more massive than the Sun. The natural expectation was that the first star was born in a gas cloud containing the mass million times more than the Sun. However, our new finding strongly suggests that the first stars were not born alone, but instead formed as a part of a star cluster or a binary or multiple star system. This also means that we can expect gravitational waves from the first binary stars soon after the Big Bang, which could be detected future missions in space or on the Moon,” said Kobayashi. Details of their study were published on March 22 in The Astrophysical Journal. TOP IMAGE....A schematic illustration of the first star’s supernovae and observed spectra of extremely metal-poor stars. Ejecta from the supernovae enrich pristine hydrogen and helium gas with heavy elements in the universe (cyan, green, and purple objects surrounded by clouds of ejected material). If the first stars are born as a multiple stellar system rather than as an isolated single star, elements ejected by the supernovae are mixed together and incorporated into the next generation of stars. The characteristic chemical abundances in such a mechanism are preserved in the atmosphere of the long-lived low-mass stars observed in our Milky Way Galaxy. The team invented the machine learning algorithm to distinguish whether the observed stars were formed out of ejecta of a single (small red stars) or multiple (small blue stars) previous supernovae, based on measured elemental abundances from the spectra of the stars. CREDIT Kavli IPMU LOWER IMAGE....Carbon vs. iron abundance of extremely metal-poor (EMP) stars. The colour bar shows the probability for mono-enrichment from our machine learning algorithm. Stars above the dashed lines (at [C/Fe] = 0.7) are called carbon-enhanced metal-poor (CEMP) stars and most of them are mono-enriched. CREDIT Hartwig et al.

DVHS but a Wheel Decides Their Fate
Rules:
I’m gonna use the same rules Weeby Newz uses, spinning for protagonist first and mastermind towards the end, and I’ll be keeping the protagonist in the mix in case there’s a case where the protagonist is killed or is the killer. I’ll also be keeping victims in the chapters they’re killed for the same reason. I’m also going to be keeping the chapter three double murder! These aren’t going to be very fleshed out. This contains many DVHS spoilers, including the mastermind and twist.
First spin (protagonist): Oshiro Amaya
And our protagonist is Oshiro! I think she’s an interesting choice for protagonist, honestly, and I think she could have a lot of good development as a protagonist. Using her belief in astrology, I think she would try to lead people that way and kind of grow to rely on herself more instead of relying so heavily on astrology.
Chapter one spins/scenario
First spin (victim): Yoshida Etsuko
Second spin (killer): Hamasaki Utako
This hurts, especially since Yoshida and Oshiro were so close in DVHS. The first motive is money, but I’m not really sure if Hamasaki would actually take that motive. I figured Hamasaki wouldn’t necessarily kill anyone, you know, but maybe something happened, like an altercation between Yoshida and Fujimoto, since Yoshida can be pretty blunt and a little ruthless at times. Ready to fight. Hamasaki might’ve confronted her after that, and maybe they had a fight and it was partially due to Yoshida’s somewhat poor luck that Hamasaki ended up killing her. God, and that’s one of the original survivors gone right off the bat.
Chapter two spins/scenario
First spin (victim): Saito Kagami
Second spin (killer): Fujimoto Hidekazu
This has to be rigged somehow because there are very few ways that Fujimoto would kill someone, let alone SAITO? I think after Hamasaki’s death, Fujimoto might’ve become a little more drawn into himself, since he really only interacted with her and Ishikawa in DVHS. If he got the motive video from this chapter, I think he would want to act on it to get out and see for himself what’s real and what’s not. I don’t think I ever said what was in the motive video, but I imagined it to be the outside world in its despair state, like the reveal at the end of DR1. To kill Saito, I think he might’ve poisoned her somehow, because there’s no way he’d be able to beat her in a contest of strength.
Chapter three spins/scenario
First spin (victim 1): Sasaki Hanayo
Second spin (victim 2): Aoyama Nozomu
Third spin (killer): Abe Fumito
This wheel is literally causing me so much pain. So I think what would happen here is that maybe with the motive of starvation, Abe is determined more than ever to get rid of the mastermind. Even though he knows who it is, he knows he can’t do anything outside of a trial. He chooses Sasaki as a target, since she wants to keep everyone safe from the mastermind, and kills her, and Aoyama ends up seeing. To keep him from saying anything and therefore cutting the trial short before Abe can get everyone to realize who the mastermind is, Abe kills him as well. Neither of them put up much of a fight because of the motive, and Abe’s secret is kept to the grave despite him doing his best to say something. I feel like it would be revealed later on still, but after it’s already too late.
Chapter four spins/scenario
First spin (victim): Rikimaru Kirika
Second spin (killer): Ueda Miyuki
Secrets, man. What I think would happen is with the mixed-up secrets, there’s a lot of distrust among the group. Rikimaru is kinda standoffish to begin with, and I think having a secret out there and not knowing what it is would make her even more likely to start something, you know? Ueda isn’t really the kind to purposefully seek someone out to kill unless she was truly in danger, so I think this might’ve been a 1.1 case with Rikimaru trying to kill Ueda and Ueda ending up killing her instead. I think she would panic and try to hide it from the group, especially the people she trusts like Ishikawa, but she wouldn’t let it get far enough that the group would vote incorrectly.
Chapter five spins/scenario
First spin (victim): Ikeda Kazuhiko
Second spin (killer): Ishikawa Camila
OUCH. I honestly think this would have less to do with the motive than it would other events in the game so far. Since Ueda lived longer than in DVHS, I think she and Ishikawa would’ve gotten much closer than before, which would’ve made the emotional impact of losing Ueda that much harder. With the time limit looming, I think Ishikawa might’ve tried taking matters into her own hands, maybe hoping that whoever she killed was the mastermind and everyone else could go free, but that ended up not being the case. Just like that, none of the original survivors are left.
Chapter six spins/scenario
Special spin (mastermind): Matsumoto Takeshi
Interesting choice for the mastermind. I think his motivation wouldn’t be like Nakamura’s was, and instead have to do with the influence of despair in general instead of the Demon Hunting game and Monaca. Since Abe already died, he doesn’t have to worry about that, and instead uses Yasu’s past as a Monokuma Kid in Towa City and the state of the world still partially in despair to try to drag the others down. He’s physically stronger than all of them, so none of them would be able to take him down in an altercation of sorts. There were a few times Oshiro was almost spun as victim, namely for chapters four and five, so maybe he tried taking Oshiro out during those chapters since she was doing too well in trials but ended up backing out once Rikimaru and Ikeda were found. I feel like the survivors would all hold onto hope pretty well in the end, especially if they’re still rescued by Toko and Komaru, who are even more angry with Matsumoto as the mastermind since Abe (actually Nagisa Shingetsu, they reveal) died by execution.
Survivors: Oshiro Amaya, Nakamura Ikuo, Kadoshima Yasu, Maeda Hayao

BLCD Review: Suki de Gomen
Tumblr media
Title: Suki de Gomen. (好きでごめん。)
Release Date: 2020/03/14
Author/Artist: Satoru Okamoto
Cast:
Yashiro Taku x Itou Kento
Furukawa Makoto
Synopsis: For 6 years, Kouta has been harboring a secret crush on his childhood best friend and well-known playboy Haruto. All this time, he's accepted that his crush will stay just that, unrequited. However, one day, it seems like Haruto has noticed...? Little by little, their relationship is changing!
Review Proper
And we’re back to listening/reviewing BLCDs. I took a little fall back in June and since there wasn’t really that much of a swelling to them, I kept on working them until I could no more. I initially just chucked the pain up to me having improper form while lifting weights, but turns out that it’s just another thing that aggravated the problem. Boy, was our gp livid. 😂 See y’all in real time after I become the Master of the Mystic Arts. 👋
Anyway, onto the review!
My face while listening/reading this:
Tumblr media
Can’t believe I did that for Itou Kento.
I honestly don’t have any idea why this work became so popular in the first place. There’s really nothing special about it (it’s just a poor man’s Nozomu Bekumonai), and the only good character here is literally Tsukasa. What the fuck? And I’m also sorry to say this, but why do the characters look like a bootleg Kise x Akamatsu with Illumi as Akamatsu’s bro??? I take that back, yo boy Kouta straight up be looking like an Akashi Seijuuro motherfucker with those sideburns.
Tumblr media
WHY ARE THERE DIFFERENT ART STYLES FOR THESE CHARACTERS I DON’T UNDERSTAND.
Anyway, I really think that Haruto teasing and making Kouta cry that first bit was too shady and it left a bad taste in my mouth. Like, what the fuck??? Why would you do that??? What is this? 2009?! That’s a big red flag right there! Haruto’s feelings also feel so shallow that I think it would have been better for Kouta’s sake that didn’t go into a relationship that quickly. Y’all he was dating girls for so long and when did he even notice Kouta’s feelings for him and why did he suddenly think that being a relationship with Kouta would be nice? REAL QUICK??? Although he has confessed that he does love Kouta by the end of volume one, there really hasn’t been an in depth look at them. As for Kouta, he’s wayyyy too obvious. Everyone in that manga probably knows that he has a crush on Haruto. *sigh* Why can’t they just make a story about Tsukasa? I’ll be on board with that!
Moving on to the voice work,
Yo, it’s been half a year ever since I’ve heard Yashiro Taku in a BLCD last and that was an uke role in Sugar Dekoboko Days. The last time I’ve heard him top was in 2018! 😂 His voice was a little higher here than his natural pitch, but it suited him well. It was very smooth and clear. This is considerably better than his performance in MODS. Kinda reminds me of how Saitou Souma did Hiro in Akai Ito, which is weird because his natural voice is deeper. I would love to hear him in this pitch more, but so far, this is the only one of his works as a top that is in my list. See you when I get my hands on Tadaima Okairi, boy.
As for Itou Kento, I’m not sure what I was expecting when I decided to listen to this because I like Itou Kento as a seme more than this. He did pretty well, though, but I think I still like him as a seme (stay tuned for the next BLCD on this list where he’s also doing an uke role).
I can’t believe they got Furukawa Makoto to voice a side character here. 😂 This is my first taste of Makonyan for 2020, and I’m glad that he’s doing quite well already. See you in Kimitte Yatsu. 👋
What a waste of cast. 😂 It’s not risque, but it’s generic af and it gives off bad vibes. Y’all I tried listening to Double Standard before this and I just COULDN’T.😩 There’s so many other works that deserve an adaptation! Come on, Cue Egg Label! How’d we get from Lala no Kekkon and Caste Heaven to this? Shame. My personal feelings aside, if you’re a fan of this series, I would recommend listening to this because there aren’t that many changes in dialogue and it’s nicely voiced. There are some adlibs which are understandable, but they’re not too important to be considered a challenge.

Sora: “Hm, let me see... Five years old!!”
Everyone: “Good for you---!!!”
Sora: “Wait, that’s not supposed to be your response!!!”
☆②☆
Nozomu: “Ahaha! Sorry, sorry. Don’t feel bad.”
Sora: “Too late.”
Soushi: “That must mean you’re six years old then.”
Sora: “Yep, that’s right, a first grader in elementary scho...wait, hold on!!”
Morihito: “Either way, you’re growing up and getting big...”
Ren: “Are you his mom or something...?”
Sora: “Mommy Moriiii! Everyone’s picking on me!”
Morihito: “There, there.”
☆③☆
Nozomu: “So we’re actually right, then! He’s a six year old.”
Soushi: “Must be.”
Sora: “Stop it~ Before you know it, I’ll be singing SolidS-esque songs like ‘heavy go, ready go, I’m a boar*!’ Well, I’m trying to write a bunch of different material, at least!”
Everyone: “’I’m a boar’...? (That’s uh...)”
*boar = uribo in Japanese. He’s making a rhyme off of SolidS’ songs where they say “here we go/ready go/etc.” a lot.
☆④☆
Morihito: “But that’s true. Sora’s music is continuously developing, and it includes all of the life experiences we’ve had so far. That’s why we have various different music and lyric styles, and it keeps things interesting.”
Ren: “Yeah. This time it’s one thing! Like, funny! The next, serious! And the next, heart-pounding!”
☆⑤☆
Soushi: “But doesn’t the current Sora give off these inexperienced, ‘I only pretend to be an adult’ kind of vibes?”
Sora: “Oh? Ohhhh? You act all high and mighty, but aren’t you inexperienced, too?!”
Soushi: “Of course. Because I’ve only been an adult for three years now. That goes for you, too, Sora.”
Morihito: “And me, too.”
Ren: “That means Nozomu and I have been adults for two years.”
Nozomu: “Yup!”
☆⑥☆
Nozomu: “So I guess we’ll keep doing this whole ‘YOUTH!’ thing for uhhhhh, ten, no, however many more years?”
Sora: “That’s right... You only live once! I’ll always be inexperienced until I’m dead and buried! We’ll keep being clumsy and stupid and we’ll fail and keep trying while laughing and jumping out into the blue sky!! That’s what SOARA is!”
☆⑦☆
Soushi: “Seriously, who knew SOARA was so amazing.”
Morihito: “I just hope our bodies don’t break down in the process (lol).”
Sora: “Even though I’m not a high school student anymore, that feeling of being on break in August still gets me excited! It’s a feeling that gets etched into your soul! Let’s jump out and go all out like that!”
Nozomu: “Yaaaaaaa!!”
Ren: “Hahaha, yeah!”
☆⑧☆
Morihito: “So, why don’t these passionate souls of SOARA celebrate your birthday now, Sora~?”
Everyone: “Cheers!!!”
*clink clink*
Everyone: “Aggh - we spilled some hahaha.”
Sora: “Thanks for the birthday well wishes-----!!!”
Happy Birthday, Sora!
☆Bonus☆
Sora: “I want to try my hand at Growth’s fantastical style of music, too.”
Nozomu: “I get you, Young Sora. Something more put-together, right?”
Sora: “Yeah, exactly. Anythings goes in SOARA. The sky can get cloudy or rainy or clear, can’t it? And can’t light transform into a rainbow? What I’m saying is... I’ll do whatever sells well!”
Soushi: “That took a scummy turn there, Young Sora.”
Morihito: “But didn’t the Proani OP #2 song that we did give off an energetic, rock fest kind of feeling?”
Sora: “That was a turning point! What’s our main guiding principle~? It’s that we make sure we keep nailing what we’re good at!”
Nozomu: “I’ll keep going until I can jump super high~”
Morihito: “Same~”
Ren: “Guys... Why did I become the older sister all of a sudden...?”
(@aliveinfo1)
[Poor Ren, probably the only one who drinks responsibly lmao. Don’t ask why they called him “Young Sora” in the bonus tweets, I think they’re drunk xD]

Character intro: Nozomu Rivera
Tumblr media
WIP: To Die Among the Stars
Age: 27
Pronouns: he/him
Appearance: not overly tall but incredibly muscular (in a practical not body builder way) with light golden skin, black almond-shaped eyes, and silky black hair just long enough for a ponytail.
From the time Nozomu started school, he wanted to be a wrestler. He was the third of four brothers and they roughhoused all the time and he love loved for it. It got then scolded but theirs was a safe family—kind and loving and loyal. They didn’t have too much but weren’t exactly starving and were able to play soccer in the streets, play guitar in the evenings, and stay in school until they graduated.
And then he achieved his dream--the wrestling leagues! That wasn't as hard as it sounds, but it was what he'd wanted so he was happy. It was competitive, but these weren't the true celebrity leagues, just the ones mostly watched and participated in by poor people from the local community. A community that he loved, and was delighted to realize that his wrestling could help his family and neighbors. He frequently won a moderate amount of prize money but never kept more than he needed for rent and food.
He was fine renting a tiny, claustrophobic apartment because he never really spent any time there. This was a community where people could and would share everything. He helped in the community garden, went shopping for neighbors, etc. He tried to feel good about the joy around him and ignore the fact that he wasn't even chipping away at the larger issues.
His other big hobby was music. He wasn't a talented musician at all, but he liked to sing and he collected all his favorite tracks in a rare physical form (idk CDs? Or would records have lasted better? I'll figure that out later).
When he saw the ad for the mission, he initially thought nothing of it--it didn't seen relevant to him. But it did to some of his neighbors, and the community council that his mother was on that year decided someone should volunteer, list their own family as beneficiaries, and the food and money would be shared. Everyone was struggling that year and honestly had been for the last few years.
The lot was somewhat random. Everyone got a chance to pull their name out, to make an excuse not to do this. Everyone remaining was physically and mentally able to do something like this, at least based on the information they had about it. He could have said no, technically, although it would have been shameful. But he was proud for the chance to really do something to help.

Oh no it’s a shitty kitty.
So since I made Mukie, I really, really wanted to make a Nekomata to be his rival/contrast in a way. What ended up happening is made a shitty kitty who has deep seated trauma and acts shitty because he doesn’t know any other way. It’s OK, Mukie ends up helping him.
Info under the cut because it’s long and also tw for animal abuse.
This little calico started out life as just a normal feral calico in the streets of Japan. He was young and would steal scraps of food to get by, until he stumbled upon an older woman’s porch to hide from the rain one night. The woman was lonely and kind-hearted, so she fed him and allowed him to come in.
Soon enough, the woman grew to love this little kitty. She named him Nozomu (hope) because he instilled hope in her and he was her companion to love and care for. Nozo loved this human; his heart was full of love and wonder and he was content in being her lovely lap cat.
However, the woman fell ill. She had an underlying chronic illness, but pressed on to avoid burdening what little family she had. However, she collapsed outside one day, and was taken to the hospital. She didn’t come home.
Nozo waited for her for a few days, growing hungry. Soon though, someone new came to the house. It was one of the woman’s grandson’s, but he was known to the family as the black sheep and dabbled in bad ways to get money.
Nozo meowed at him, and the man picked him up gently, calling him a good kitty and petting him. Nozo felt happy again, thinking he found another person to share love with.
They traveled to his house, but instead of going inside, they went to a shack outside. Nozo immediately was assaulted with the smell of blood, and quickly after the sound of furious barking. His fur stood on end as the man brought him to a lone, poorly built pit with one dog in the middle, heavily chained up and trying its best to get to him.
Nozo was scared at the noise, but before he could do much or hide more in the man’s coat, he was grabbed by his scruff and held over the pit.
The minutes that followed were a tornado of panic and pain as Nozomu was snuffed out of the living realm, used as a toy to give the other poor soul a bloodlust.
When he awakened in the spirit realm as a yokai, the horror and abuse of his death granted him immediate magical powers that rivaled most other yokai. But more than anything else, his anger and pain boiled over into a vengeful yokai that was blinded by despair and wanted nothing but to make the humans of the town suffer as much as he had.
So he used his magic to make himself corporeal to the humans he found that were at ‘rock-bottom’, and put on a fake persona of sympathy for them. He told them he would make their life better, give them ‘hope’ for a better tomorrow by granting them a wish, no strings attached.
However, he would always leave out the fact that he wanted the humans to be as literal as possible.
His magic became twisted, and he would grant ‘Monkey Paw’ like magic. If someone broke came to him wishing for money, he’d nod and grant it...in the form of the person’s parent’s dying in a mysterious house fire and them inheriting the money from their will and house.
He started taking pleasure in hurting these people, and by ‘dangling hope over their heads’, like the man who hurt him had done to him.
But deep down? He’s a scared little kitten crying out for his old human back. He never shows that weak side of himself and partakes in lots of risk taking behaviors and never grows attached to people or yokai a like. He grows a reputation in the spirit realm as the “Twisted Maneki-Neko” and the other yokai either fear him or are enthralled by him.
Mukie found him deplorable for a while, but he didn’t know of his past. They frequently butt heads, but Mukie feels like there’s more to this shitty kitty than what meets the eye, so he tries to help him.

Dankira and its Saints
When I heard of Dankira ended its service yesterday, I think it's about time for them to show their feast days in this latest installment to commemorate this occasion. So here it is.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Merry Panic]
August 20 - Sora Asahi
St. Bernard of Clairvaux: 12th century French abbot and confessor, and a major leader in the revitalization of Benedictine monasticism through the nascent Order of Cistercians. There he preached an immediate faith, in which the intercessor was the Virgin Mary. In 1139, Bernard assisted at the Second Council of the Lateran. He subsequently denounced the teachings of Peter Abelard to the pope, who called a council at Sens in 1141 to settle the matter. Bernard was the first Cistercian placed on the calendar of saints, and was canonized by Pope Alexander III in 1174, and Pope Pius VIII bestowed Bernard the title of Doctor of the Church. His major shrine can be found in Troyes Cathedral.
March 20 - Mahiru Hinata
St. John Nepomucene (John of Nepomuk): 14th century priest and martyr who was drowned in the Vltava river at the behest of Wenceslaus IV of Bohemia (Czech Republic). Later accounts state that he was the confessor of the queen of Bohemia and refused to divulge the secrets of the confessional. On the basis of this account, John of Nepomuk is considered the first martyr of the Seal of the Confessional, a patron against defamation and, because of the manner of his death, a protector from floods and drowning. He is the patron saint of the Spanish Naval Infantry.
November 24 - Reiji Yano
The Vietnamese Martyrs: The Vatican estimates the number of Vietnamese martyrs at between 130,000 and 300,000. Pope St. John Paul II decided to canonize those whose names are known and unknown, giving them a single feast day. One of the most prominent person of the group is Andrew Dũng-Lạc, who was born to a peasant family and is ordained a priest in 1823. Many years later in 1998, he and the rest of the martyrs were canonized by Pope St. John Paul II. Among the number of the martyrs, there were 97 Vietnamese, 11 Dominican missionaries from Spain, and 10 French belonged to the Paris Foreign Mission Society; 59 were lay people and the rest of them are religious and or members of the clergy.

[Étoile]
February 17 - Akira Shido
Seven Holy Founders of the Servite Order: The seven holy founders consisted of Alexis Falconieri, Amadeus of the Amidei, Hugh dei Lippi Uggucioni, Benedetto dell' Antella, Gherardino di Sostegno, Buonfiglio dei Monaldi and Giovanni di Buonagiunta. On January 1888, Pope Leo XIII canonized all seven of them, and their feast was inserted in the General Roman Calendar for celebration on 11 February, the anniversary of the granting of canonical approval to the order in 1304. In the 1969 revision of the calendar, 17 February, the date of death of Alexis Falconieri was judged to be more appropriate.
December 11 - Noel Gekkoin
Pope St. Damasus I: 37th bishop of Rome who reigned for 18 years. He presided over the Council of Rome of 382 that determined the canon or official list of sacred scripture, and spoke out against major heresies in the church (including Apollinarianism and Macedonianism) and encouraged production of the Vulgate Bible with his support for Jerome. He helped reconcile the relations between the Church of Rome and the Church of Antioch, and encouraged the veneration of martyrs.
June 27 - Kei Kagemiya
Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Our Lady of Perpetual Succour): A Marian title represented in a celebrated 15th-century Byzantine icon also associated with the same Marian apparition. The icon is originated from the Keras Kardiotissas Monastery and has been in Rome since 1499, and today, it is permanently enshrined in the Church of Saint Alphonsus, where the official Novena to Our Mother of Perpetual Help text is prayed weekly. In 1867, Pope Pius IX granted the image its Canonical Coronation along with its present title. The Redemptorist Congregation of priests and brothers are the only religious order currently entrusted by the Holy See to protect and propagate a Marian religious work of art. Due to promotion by the Redemptorist Priests since 1865, the image has become very popular among Roman Catholics, and modern reproductions are oftentimes displayed in residential homes, commercial establishments, and public transportation.

[Theater Bell]
May 12 - Seito Tsubaki
Bl. Imelda Lambertini: Italian laywoman, virgin and mystic. Her parents were devout Catholics and were known for their charity and generosity to the underprivileged of Bologna. On her fifth birthday, she requested to receive Holy Eucharist; however the custom at the time was that children did not receive their First Holy Communion until it reached the age of fourteen. On the day of the vigil of the Ascension, she knelt in prayer and the 'Light of the Host' was reportedly witnessed above her head by the Sacristan, who then fetched the priest so he could see. After seeing this miracle, the priest felt compelled to admit her to receiving the Eucharist. Immediately after receiving it, Lambertini went back to her seat, and decided to stay after mass and pray. Later when a nun came to get Lambertini for supper, she found Lambertini still kneeling with a smile on her face. The nun called her name, but she did not stir, so she lightly tapped Imelda on the shoulder, at which Imelda collapsed to the floor dead. Beatified by Pope Leo XII in 1826, she is the patroness of First Communicants.
July 20 - Soma Yagami
St. Apollinaris of Ravenna: 1st century Syrian bishop and martyr, whom the Roman Martyrology describes as 'a bishop who, according to tradition, while spreading among the nations the unsearchable riches of Christ, led his flock as a good shepherd and honored the Church of Classis near Ravenna by a glorious martyrdom.' A noted miracle worker, Apollinaris is considered especially effective against gout, venereal disease and epilepsy. His relics are at the Basilica of Sant'Apollinare Nuovo and the 6th century Benedictine Basilica of Sant'Apollinare in Classe, both in Ravenna and in Saint Lambert's church in Düsseldorf, Germany.
November 11 - Nozomu Miki
St. Martin of Tours: Confessor and the third bishop of Tours. One of the most familiar and recognizable Christian saints in Western tradition. Martin converted to Christianity at a young age and served in the Roman cavalry in Gaul, but left military service at some point prior to 361, when he became a disciple of Hilary of Poitiers, establishing the monastery at Ligugé. He is best known for the account of his using his military sword to cut his cloak in two, to give half to a beggar clad only in rags in the depth of winter. His shrine in Tours became a famous stopping-point for pilgrims on the road to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. He is the patron of beggars, wool-weavers and tailors, as well as the patron of the United States Army Quartermaster Corps even though he detested violence.

[Sanzensekai]
September 18 - Yukari Wakakusa
St. Joseph of Cupertino: Italian friar from the Conventual Franciscans, a branch of the Franciscan order. He was said to have been remarkably unclever, but prone to miraculous levitation and intense ecstatic visions that left him gaping. Canonized as saint by Pope Clement XIII in 1767, he is the patron of mental handicaps, examinations, aviation and astronauts.
June 13 - Mitsukuni Minamoto
St. Anthony of Padua: Franciscan Portuguese friar and priest who is noted by his contemporaries for his powerful preaching, expert knowledge of scripture, and undying love and devotion to the poor and the sick, he was one of the most quickly canonized saints in church history. Although he is known as the patron of lost items, his major shrine can be found in Padua, Italy. In January 1946, he is proclaimed a Doctor of the Church by Pope Pius XII, and is given the title of Doctor Evangelicus (Evangelical Doctor).
April 28 - Oboro Kiriyama
St. Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort (Louis de Monfort): French priest and confessor, who was known in his time as a preacher and was made a missionary apostolic by Pope Clement XI. As well as preaching, he found time to write a number of books which went on to become classic Catholic titles and influenced several popes, and he is known for his particular devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and the practice of praying the Rosary. He is considered as one of the early writers in the field of Mariology. His most notable works regarding Marian devotions are contained in Secret of the Rosary and True Devotion to Mary. Monfort is canonized as a saint two years after World War II under the pontificate of Pope Pius XII.
Tumblr media
[TOXIC]
October 9 - Ageha Kurenai
St. Louis Bertrand: Spanish Dominican friar, confessor, missionary, and religious brother who is known as the 'Apostle of South America.' After his ordination by St. Thomas of Villanova, he went to South America for his missionary work. According to legend, a deadly draught was administered to him by one of the native priests. Through Divine interposition, the poison failed to accomplish its purpose. There is a town festival, called La Tomatina in Buñol, Valencia, in his honor along with Mare de Déu dels Desemparats.
April 12 - Shiki Janome
Pope St. Julius I: 35th successor of St. Peter who reigned for 15 years and is credited with splitting the birth of Christ into two distinct celebrations (Epiphany and the Nativity) as well as asserting the authority of the pope over the Arian Eastern bishops. After his death in 352 AD, he is succeeded by Pope Liberius.
January 12 - Tsukumo Busujima
St. Marguerite Bourgeoys: French nun who is known as the founder of the Congregation of Notre Dame of Montreal in the colony of New France, now part of the province of Québec in Canada.  She is also significant for developing one of the first uncloistered religious communities in the Catholic Church. She was canonized in 1982 and declared a saint by the Catholic Church, the first female saint of Canada.

[Black Meteor Camp (B.M.C.)]
January 31 - Atago Rentaro
St. John Bosco: Italian priest, educator, confessor and writer who is popularly known as 'Don Bosco' as well as the 'Father and Teacher of Youth'. While working in Turin, where the population suffered many of the ill-effects of industrialization and urbanization, he dedicated his life to the betterment and education of street children, juvenile delinquents, and other disadvantaged youth. He developed teaching methods based on love rather than punishment, a method that became known as the Salesian Preventive System. John was an ardent devotee of Mary, mother of Jesus, under the title Mary Help of Christians. He later dedicated his works to De Sales when he founded the Salesians of Don Bosco, based in Turin. He also founded the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, a religious congregation of nuns dedicated to the care and education of poor girls together with Maria Domenica Mazzarello, and he taught Dominic Savio, of whom he wrote a biography that helped the young boy be canonized.
September 6 - Habashiri Ginko
Zechariah the Prophet: He was a person that can be found in the Hebrew Bible and traditionally considered the author of the Book of Zechariah, the 11th of the Twelve Minor Prophets. He was a prophet of the Kingdom of Judah, and, like the prophet Ezekiel, was of priestly extraction. The Roman Catholic Church honors him with a feast day assigned to this date.
August 4 - Tsubaki Kento
St. John Vianney: French priest and confessor who is known as the patron saint of parish priests. He is often referred to as the 'Curé d'Ars', internationally known for his priestly and pastoral work in his parish in Ars, France, because of the radical spiritual transformation of the community and its surroundings. Catholics attribute this to his saintly life, mortification, persevering ministry in the sacrament of confession, and ardent devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. His major shrine can be found in Ars-sur-Formans.
