thinking about how when Garroth gets back from the Irene Dimension he immediately gives himself the task of fixing up the old docks. thinking about how the docks first came about as a direct result of Aphmaus influence on the town originally, her tasking herself out of her own good-will to fix up and serve the first town she stumbled upon and decided to call home. thinking about how garroth says he fell in love with her as soon as he knew she was a good person. thinking about how Aphmau paving streets and renovating villager houses is what made him love her. thinking about how the docks was Their spot, it's where he saw her off and waited for her to come back from all her out-of-town quests, its where they meet up after Donna and Logan's wedding and where Garroth goes to reflect after Zenix's betrayal and is comforted by her. thinking about how Garroth's love for Aph is ultimately an extension of his love for Phoenix Drop and her love for Phoenix Drop is how she shows she loves him. Thinking about when he comes back from the Irene Dimension, after inadvertently leading the town to decay, blaming himself for Aaron's death, and irreparably damaging his relationship with Aphmau his first course of action is to fix up the docks. He's fucked up and the only thing he feels he can do is what Aphmau did so long ago that proved to him she was a worthy lord and a good person: roll up his sleeves and pick up a hammer and nail.

Reading about forestry and the wood industry in Finland in the mid-1900's for school and experiencing severe mental pain while doing it because the text goes into detail to describe all the natural beard moss-filled old-growth forests that have never been touched by man with snags everywhere that the government then went ahead and destructively decimated thousands of acres of, all for short-term monetary gain and sometimes for very little gain at all in the case of Lapland

I recently found out that Native People in the American continent have their own name for it, which is Abya Yala.
Anyway, wouldn't it be nice if we started to support their right for self determination and freedom from the oppression of colonial rule? Wouldn't it be nice if we support the complete and immediate abolition of all colonizer countries, which are *checks notes* every single country in the American continent plus the island ones? Wouldn't it be nice if we started telling all the settlers, conquistadors and immigrants to Go Back To Where They Came From? Wouldn't it be nice if we started chanting in the streets and online for the cleansing of the continent from all non-Native people? Wait, that sounds kind of extreme, doesn't it? But what if it rhymed? Everyone knows that if it rhymes it's true and justified right? So maybe the American continent should be free, you know, maybe from shore to shore... no, no. From sea to sea, that's it! What a great cause! And great causes are worth fighting for by all means, right? Obviously, I do not support violence at all, but like wouldn't it be justified if Native People were to become violent in their fight for freedom? I mean, think of the history for a moment, what brought them to this moment? And could you blame them? After all, shouldn't freedom be fought for by all means necessary? Wouldn't you support their claim?
Anyway.
From Sea To Shiny Sea Abya Yala Will Be Free.

Meanwhile, in the UK...
A Tory MP stands to make £3m from the sale of a slave plantation his family established in Barbados which he inherited.
I say this as a Brit and as a believer in reparations: he needs to give that land back for free. Because that is the MINIMUM he should be doing. His family held slaves for centuries. His wealth is built on the deaths of 30,000 enclaved people thousands of miles from his own country. The man owes his entire lifestyle to wealth gained during slavery.
He's not my MP but anyone who lives in Dorset GIVE HIM HELL!! You can contact him and make it clear you won't vote for a man (because otherwise you were certainly going to vote Tory *cough*) who continues to hold land gained under slavery and colonialism and expects to be richer for it.

We do not want this. This is not a decision being made on behalf of the American people. Literally, no one wants this, and we're being forced to pay for it. Our tax dollars funding genocide. I feel sick. I don't think any amount of protests on any scale will change anything because clearly, this is a nefarious and corrupt government decision, likely fueled by greed. It wasn't made with American citizens in mind, so I'm not sure how we can stop it.

reparenting Can't be the solution to parentalization. like. i had to parent myself so the only solution is??? i have to parent myself again????????
no offense but I'm actually fucking tired of doing that?
(i also get pissed at the idea that the correct response to loneliness is learning to be alone. that's in direct opposition to how Human Beings Work).

like the fact that people are saying, "we/our forebears were killed, trafficked, raped, genocided, muilated, brutalized, and are still facing echoes of the same and the aftermath of those blows to this day, all while the memories of those before us are erased when they are not denigrated and desecrated," and some of y'all think the only reason they have to be upset is MONEY?
y'all think this is about MONEY. okay.
meanwhile,
Tumblr media
so you agree? to those who stand to benefit from all the above actions and reduplications of the histories and narratives that led to them, the genocided and enslaved represent an investment of capital and a means to acquire it, either through bodies living or dead, labor, trafficking, the act of dehumanization itself, or land, so the colonial agenda has always been one of a reduction to some humans' value to property, and to a dollar price?
you agree with the slavers and slaughterers that what's important is who the blood money goes TO and not that the blood was for sale to begin with?
