Planes, Trains and Automobiles is a hilarious, heartfelt Thanksgiving classic! Make sure you watch it this year how it was supposed to be watched, on a massive wood-sheathed Zenith television.

A Lost Star Trek TV Special from 1975?
Video description;
Originally created in 1975, this television special, hosted by Leonard Nimoy, was a special airing of parts one and two of "The Menagerie" airing back to back with original segments by Nimoy.
While archiving a stack of vintage VHS tapes I discovered this television recording of the special which aired on Oklahoma City's KAUT-43 on February 6th, 1983.
Special thanks to D. Stone for source VHS tapes, The Retroist for his assistance, and Earl Green from TheLogBook.com for his video editing wizardry.

★۰*. HOT ISSUE is the first extended play released by fictional girl group Bad Girls Club. The EP features 5 songs, two being title tracks, one being a pre-release single, and the final two being side tracks. The EP did well, exploring a new concept for the girls, retro futurism and old Hollywood. The albums contents including the music itself, was criticised due to provocative imagery and sexual innuendos through out it. With this, the members who are very well known to clap back and respond to such criticism, simply kept silent and continued promoting with no regard to it. Both title tracks gained a lovely amount of music show wins, Up&Down earning 9 while Superlady earned a total of 7. Despite the criticism faced, domestically and internationally the EP thrived and is seen as one of the girls most memorable releases in their career.
˚ ༘♡ TRACKLIST!
Fire In The Hole! (pre-release single)
Superlady ★
Party Night
Up&Down ★
My Satisfaction
˚ ༘♡ CONCEPT!
tw: mentions killing in the music video story line …
the concept explores themes of Old Hollywood, Retro Futurism, & Vintage Horror.
The most popular looks and scenes amongst the stages and music video, tend to follow the Old Hollywood concept.
Many fans pointed out the references to Old Hollywood movies, and the trendy + luxurious sets they filmed in for the Warm Hole music video.
But their Retro Futuristic theme didn’t go unnoticed, many fans pointed out how well they executed it in the Up&Down music video.
The Superlady music video was mainly story line based, following the story of 7 girls seducing then implied to be killing him at the end. They used both the Old Hollywood + Future Retroistic concept while also focusing on a Vintage Horror concept.
˚ ༘♡ STYLING!
˚ ༘♡ ERA NOTES!
THEY’RE SO BACK!!!
fans looooved this era
the girls first fully self-produced and written album!!! I’m so proud🥹
Sanghee + Erena did most of the producing, Cloe + Tiara also worked on some songs! Alongside this all of the members have writing credits :)
There was no like crazy scandals that happened tbh, like the ep WAS the big scandal
yall alr know the mv edits went crazy
Sanghee and Cloe getting along on camera?? Oddly suspicious to those Sanghee antis…
But everyone else was living for their friendship, they became like lowkey attached at the hip this era
The music is just so good like no one can get over how crazy good this shit sounds
the Tiara hate train has begun…
ppl say she shouldn’t be an idol bcs she gets caught lying too much LMAO
She doesn’t really gaf tho!

Do Hollywood (2016) Brothers of Destruction (2017) Go To School (2018) Songs For the General Public (2020) Everything Harmony (2023) The Lemon Twigs
By my ears’ reckoning, there are two main features to The Lemon Twigs – despite, obviously, them being a double act. First up, in the mixing, instrumental tones and general sound, the duo offer up some of the most direct nostalgia I’ve ever heard. Plenty of retroists rip-off the past; the Twigs sound like they’re trying to implant themselves in it.
The other thing is the band’s restlessness. These songs are mobile to an odd extent, there’s an unwillingness to let anything sit or stretch out – and that’s been the case from the very beginning, both within single songs to over the course of the duo’s discography, from the jaunty shifts of Do Hollywood opener ‘I Wanna Prove to You’ through to Go To School’s insistence on a wildly strange concept. It’s endearing, that anxiety to not sit still, not be dull.
Neither of those main features are negatives, exactly, but when both are dulled a little, that’s when the Lemon Twigs really hit their stride – culminating in last year’s Everything Harmony, their most measured, patient and finest overall work yet.
Pick(s): ‘I Wanna Prove to You’, ‘Night Song’, ‘Never In My Arms, Always In My Heart’, ‘Fight’, ‘What Happens to a Heart’

Friends, I have been having a blast playing the recently released Atari 5O: The Anniversary Celebration by Digital Eclipse. Interviews, quotes, historical artifacts, original artwork, and more make this a worthy addition to your games library. Although I will add that the fact that Digital Eclipse was kind enough to produce the fourth title in the Swordquest series - this made me tear up something fierce. For those of you that listened to the Diary of An Arcade Employee podcast or read my stuff for the Retroist or Pop Culture Retrorama - you know that Swordquest was an important game series for my Grandmother and I back in the day. That is why I'm attempting to beat Airworld - with her notebook of original Swordquest notes right beside me. #atari #swordquest #digitaleclipse #nerdlyfe #haveyouplayedataritoday #popculture https://www.instagram.com/p/ClE-uNuuYxp/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Obviously an UnMagical can - and it's not even from a theme park. However, this vintage Ace Hardware can, spotted in Seattle, has to have some pretty amazing stories to tell, don't you think?
