On the twelfth hour of the first day of October, 1989, forty-three women around the world gave birth. This was unusual only in the fact that none of them had been pregnant when the day first began. 

Sir Reginald Hargreeves, eccentric billionaire and adventurer, resolved to locate and adopt as many of the children as possible. 

He got seven. 

Cornelia King was not one of those seven.

For the first time in her life, Martha King was not tempted by the promise of money and instead of giving up her daughter when Reginald Hargreeves came calling, she chose to keep her, to raise her. Finally, Martha had family of her own. And so much the better for her when little Nellie started displaying promising abilities, Martha sees them as an opportunity, and Nellie King is turned into some kind of show pony, meant to trick the poor, grieving customers who came calling with a phony medium act. 

In short, Nellie King had a very different childhood than the one the Hargreeves experienced and Martha King was very careful to keep her daughter away from Reginald Hargreeves, but a chance meeting with Ben Hargreeves when they are eight years old sets things into motion, and what follows is a tragic love story, spanning decades. 

Following Ben’s death, Nellie thought that was that, she had no further connection with the Hargreeves, but whether she likes it or not, Nellie is just as much part of this story as any member of the Hargreeves family.

"36 Hours" - or "I need plot with my p*rn so this happened"

It might sound weird, but she's really looking forward to spending this weekend apartment sitting for her best friend.

After all she gets to spend a few days in a penthouse on the Upper East Side - and away from her roommate and their less than soundproof two-bedroom apartment in Brooklyn.

She has free reign over the jacuzzi (with a view of the park, thank you very much), a cozy fireplace and a fridge full of just the finest stuff and all she has to do in exchange is feed the world's ugliest cat.

As far as short vacations go, this one doesn't sound too shabby - at least until she steps out of the guest room in little more than a bath rope and finds a strange man standing in the livingroom.

Lucky for her, he isn't a serial killer.

Not so lucky for her, BFF and her husband seem to have a bit of a communication problem, because he also offered the apartment to a friend for the weekend.

And unfortunately "Tall, Dark and Handsome" proves to be just as stubborn as she is, which means she's once again stuck with a roommate...

IDEK what this is. I was hormonal, I had a dream I really liked and then that dream took on a life of its own and here we are 🤷🏻‍♀️

Okay, so I haven't posted in a while, but I was writing a comment on YouTube and thought it'd be good to talk about what we came up with.

We were talking about Rey's parentage. Because I can't just sit back and believe that she somehow really is no one from nowhere. It has been my belief from the beginning that she is Obi-Wan's granddaughter, and I was taking with two other people, one who believes she is a Skywalker, and the other who believes she is a Palpetine. The video we were looking at was of her vision on Takodona, when she first found the lightsaber, so I started pulling evidence out of the video itself.

Since this is her first contact with the Force really making itself known to her (that we know of), we can assume it is showing her something about herself. So let's take inventory. She hears plenty of voices in her vision. So likely one of them has a connection to her.

Vader: *yells* (one line)

Luke: *yells* (one line)

Yoda: "...surrounds us...and binds us..." (one line)

Palpetine: "...the power of..." (one line)

Obi-Wan: "You will be tempted." "Rey?" "These are your first steps." (THREE lines)

If Rey is a skywalker, you'd expect to hear more from the skywalker family in this scene. As it is, we hear Luke yell, and we hear Vader yell. We hear nothing from Leia. If she were a skywalker, I'd expect to hear at least some words from them. And I might even expect something from Hayden Christinen, since he played Anakin.

However, we not only hear Obi-Wan speak, he speaks directly to her and EVEN SAYS HER NAME. He is the only character to do this in the whole vision, which is significant because the words he speaks are either an early memory, or he is reaching out to her from the netherworld of the force. Possibly both. Either way, he is keeping an eye on her.

Also, there is something very significant in his last line to her, "These are your first steps." That being, it is the only piece of dialogue from one of the force voices to not be recycled from one of the other movies. Ewan mcgreggor was asked to come and record one. Line.

They wouldn't have gone to all the trouble of paying him and lining up the studio date and everything if it wasn't important.

So, if we're just going from that one scene, and trying to work out Rey's heritage, then the answer seems clear. Of course, the movie as a whole has other things to take into consideration, but this one scene is so pivotal to the trilogy that I feel like it deserves quite a bit of weight.
