i see some of the specialists or winx eventually getting jobs during the school erst because hello?? going out to eat is expensive as well as shopping or just doing things in the city. who do you think would have jobs and what would they be?

Everybody's jobs

Those who don't need the money (because, you know, rich)

Stella - no job. She designs and creates clothes sometimes, and gifts them to her friends.

Aisha - she may work as a dance instructor. She loves it.

Sky - doesn't really need a job, but knows that Eraklyon's finances are ALWAYS in bad shape. So he took up a part-time job to be able to be more independent.

Nabu - no job. He just hangs out with the rest and spends his time practicing his magic.

Helia - he accepts commissions for his portraits, but only if the subject is interesting enough. He usually ends up gifting the final picture.

Those who may need the money

Flora - a florist, of course.

Tecna - tech repairs

Timmy - tech repairs

Those who REALLY need the money

Brandon - he works at a gym as a personal trainer. He models, sometimes.

Riven - mechanic. Riven is really good with everything related to cars and bikes.

Musa - she works at a music shop, gives piano/guitar/flute/whatever lessons and performs.

Bloom - given her experience with her mother, she works at the same flower shop as Flora.

And finally, last up for the boys is Riven! Honestly glad that I got to do the guys’ looks since they deserve to have the attention and be as fleshed out as the girls, and it was a fun challenge trying to come up with their individual styles more(since they deserve to have fun and variance in their outfits too)! These will probably be the last of the redesign posts for now as I have some other projects to focus on(one being finishing up the rest of the NG AU bios), but I do want to make more of these in the future, with possibly doing the powered-up forms, other characters’ fashion/redesigns, or doing different outfit styles(like formal attire)/makeup/piercing and tattoos/etc for the characters I’ve done already. When the time comes for that, I’ll make a poll to see what you guys would be more interested in.

Focusing back on Riven’s post here, the main inspiration for his was just cranking up his bad boy style even more. The most difficult thing to figure out was the hair, since I could never find a reference that had both the hairstyle and hair color I had in mind for him for his redesign, but I eventually found something that kind of works with what I was going for with him. But, I hope you enjoy!

- For Riven’s physical appearance, I imagine him to be about average height, similar in height as Sky with more of a lean but still muscular build. Skin tone is still rosy but is a bit more tanned, with his eyes still being a purple color. Changed his hair to more of a ‘smoothed-down’ style(not quite like the reference picture) while also giving it an undercut, with it still being the dark, magenta-ish color as in canon. For extra physical details, I wanted to give him a few piercings to make his style more ‘edgy’. These would include an eyebrow piercing, a lip piercing(either just one or two/snakebites), and multiple ear piercings.

- For his color scheme, his wiki said most of his clothing is in dark shades so I wanted to keep that aspect and make it more prominent, so he can stand out more compared to the other guys. Mostly wears a lot of black and dark grays, with white and silver being accents. Also wears dark blue, mainly for jeans, and darker reds and maroons at times too, but mainly for undershirts. Like already mentioned I made his style be more ‘edgy/bad boy’ in aesthetic, keeping with canon a bit where he prefers sleeveless shirts to showcase his physique more.

- For accessories, he wouldn’t be as focused on them but he does wear a few that help add to his more punkish look. Most of them are either studded or spiky belts or bracelets, but does have couple of chains to attach to his belts and chain necklaces. The main accessory I gave him here was some leather strap bracelets, since a few of his canon outfits had cuff bracelets and I wanted to keep that look for him, but updated them to match more with the style I gave him.

This is something that needs explaining. Well, you see, in my version of season 4, I have Musa and Riven break up and for good (But not a messy break up like you'd expect from them) and I plan to have Musa in a polyamorous relationship with Aisha and Nabu. Darcy never stopped having feelings for Riven, even after she broke up with him in season 1 after becoming power hungry. In my version of season 5, she disguises herself as a young woman named Laurabai (Because of how my fan-cast for her voice is Laura Bailey) so she can be with him without The Ancestral Witches, her sisters, and Selina knowing about it and because she knows Riven would never talk to Darcy in her real form. She does this simply to be close with him because she has genuine feelings of love for him and they grow close. He eventually finds out the truth and is understandably angry and thinks it's another one of her sick tricks. The two of them do end up together after she redeems herself (Along with Icy, Stormy, and Selina). Musa was suspicious of Laurabai (Darcy) because she does still care about Riven as a friend. I gave her black hair and purple eyes like Lust (Another character voiced by Laura Bailey), Musa's original skin color, and the outfit she has Ariadne with her Legendarium form. Musa and Riven's second daughter in my Bloodlines AU, Monica! Her previous name in my fic was Melody but I changed it bc Harm + Monica hehe. She, like her mother before her, is the fairy of music.

I ended up revamping a little bit of her personality as well. Born Monica Sonata Carmichael-Diao and adopted as Monica Aria Vesper, Monica was adopted quickly as a baby and therefore lived a very different life to her sister.

In a word, Monica is perfect, the complete antithesis of her sister. She's a cheerleader, a gymnast, gets fantastic grades, and is on track for a career as a successful recording artist. She’s popular and loved by all…except, it seems, her own parents. They’ve always been too busy to come witness her many accomplishments to the point she wonders why they even adopted her. Her entire life revolves around getting her parents praise, approval, and attention, and when she doesn’t get it she tends to spiral down a hole of “what did I do wrong?”

With two career-oriented parents, she lived a lonely childhood. One thing she does share with her long-lost sister is her desire for companionship. She prides herself on being a likeable people person and having a lot of friends, but deep down she desires the familial love she feels her parents never gave her, so when she ends up finding a girl who looks just like her who could be related to her, she's more than a little enthusiastic.

riven had stayed the night at your dorm at alfea and.. let’s just say you both had fun last night. riven had gotten up earlier than you so he could quickly return to his own dorm room without suspicion. you tossed and turned in your bed, waking up when your alarm rang. you frowned upon waking up, sitting up and touching your bedside table for your purity ring. your heart sank when it wasn’t there.

“shit.”

you scrambled your room to look for the ring, racking your brain looking high and low for your purity ring, cursing under your breath as your dorm mate flora walks in to see your room a mess.

you rushed out of your dorm and bolted into the halls of alfea college, spotting riven in the distance leaned against a pillar… with your purity ring around his neck hanging on the chain. you stormed over to him, arms crossed against your chest.

“morning sweetie.”

“shut up. i want my ring back. it.. belonged to my mother.”

riven chuckled and leaned down to look at you in the eyes, a smug smirk appearing on his lips. your breath hitches, your bodies gently pressed against one another. you knew that he knew that you were lying about it being a family heirloom, he just. knew.

“mm, you sure baby?”

the smirk on riven’s face only grew bigger as your reaction to him closing the distance between you both caused you to flush. hands wrapped around your waist, pulling you closer now body pressed against body. your reaction only caused him to hold you tighter, which made your body burn up even more.

the tension between you both was rising, just like how it was last night. you couldn’t escape his grasp either, with how tightly he was holding your waist.. he was holding you captive in his arms, something you actually didn’t mind. you liked when he was possessive over you.

“riven, let go.”

“mm? you really think i’ll let you get away so easily?”

“riv…”

“i’ll have you know, i’m taking this from you because i took you. this is mine like you are.”

riven lifted the chain on his neck that held your purity ring to show you, a smirk creeping up on his lips. your purity ring belonged to him now and so did you. and riven definitely liked that.

no one would’ve thought the two of you would get together, as riven has a high temper and you pretty much have no temper, always calm and relaxed. in fact, the only people that suspected something was going on with the two of you were bloom and sky, they always took notice of the flirty comments and subtle touches between the two of you. however, ever since you’ve announced your relationship with the hotheaded specialist, you’ve been extremely happy with him, and your friends started relaxing exactly how much sense the two of you make.

you’re a balanced couple that occasionally has rough patches, as riven can get really jealous and insecure, but you guys always make it out and your love grows even more. riven loves you and never wants to make you feel less than appreciated.

his favourite date with you consists of literally anything that involves you two being near each other, but he especially loves when you and him help your friends defeat the newest villain. he also loves when you cuddle with him, as he’s really just a softie deep down, constantly wanting to be touching you. he’s a huge fan of pda, unless you’re uncomfortable with it.

helia ✿

you and helia go together so well, no one was surprised when the two of you made your relationship official. your both calm and loving people, quickly becoming one of the best couples out of your friend group.

you love his hair so much. he just lets you run your fingers through his hair and style it into stupid little ponytails and buns, the man not even complaining about it, actually secretly enjoying it.

he’s literally the best boyfriend. he is always at your side when you need comfort and he gives you all his love.

timmy ✿

it took a while for timmy to build up the courage to ask you out, but once he did, you happily said yes.

the two of you are the definition of ‘opposites attract.’ you’re outgoing and a social butterfly, compared to timmy, who’s shy and doesn’t talk to many people aside from his friends.

he isn’t a big fan of pda, but behind closed doors, he’s always wanting to be close to you.

Winx + Specialists besties! Here we go!

Stella + Sky - After the switch and a lot of talking, I think they would mend their relation and bond over the difficulties of meeting the expectations that weigh on their shoulders as heirs to their realms' thrones. They'll save one another from embarrassing situations at royal events, sparing the other from having to deal with yet another exasperating suitor. It doesn't hurt that Sky is good at dancing and never crashes her feet.

Stella + Timmy - I've always thought these two could work really well as friends. Timmy would help her manage her social media, and Stella would give him relationship advice (mostly unsolicited).

Aisha + Brandon + Riven - All things sport! These three would definitely take part in every single competition they stumbled upon (especially Riven). I feel like Aisha and Riven would be extremely competitive, so Brandon is there to balance things and make sure everyone has fun. Also, they are all into surf, and with Aisha controlling water, every day at the beach becomes an excuse to ride the most impressive waves.

Bloom + Helia - Bloom draws (even though this plot point is lost early on in the series) and, given that Helia is extremely talented, she can learn from him. They challenge each other to try new subjects, new techniques. They put on an exhibition at some point, it's a huge success.

Musa + Helia - Yes, Musa loves head-banding to her favorite punk rock songs, but she also craves peace. I can imagine her playing her flute in the gardens while Helia paints. They would just keep each other company, quietly.

Flora + Riven - I've read more than one fic in which these two are considered good friends and I totally see it. Flora's kindness can balance Riven's outbursts. Riven has trust issues, so it would be a slow process getting to know each other and becoming friends, but, once he's sure he can trust her, they could spend time together with him talking to her about his feelings for Musa, his relation with the other Specialists; while she would listen and offer her own insights. Flora likes him because he's honest, which isn't always a good thing, but with Riven she can be sure he's telling her exactly what he thinks.

Tecna + Nabu - Tecna respects commitment and intelligence, and Nabu has both. He has studied hard to become a strong wizard, and he and Tecna could work together on how to better combine magic and technology.
