Off the back of random questions post…I have a mental poll going and I like to ask people-how do you pronounce sandwiches?

Is is saMwhiches, sand-witches, saNwiches, sammiches or other?

Of course my current results are skewed by the NZ accent but saMwhiches is currently the leader

I am an American (southwest quadrant), and I pronounce it saMwhich or saNwich, depending on the day, and can assure you that most people here say saMwhich. Although one difference is that Americans almost always refer to it in the singular. Even for a date, it'd be like, you wanna go get a samwich? Almost never plural.

Also super cool that I have a friend* in New Zealand! I'm gonna get a world map and start coloring it in for the locations of my online GO community <3
