I know you made a post of AFO giving the Shie Hassaikai secondary Quirks, which was honestly really good tbh. Have you done this for 1A, 1B, Teachers, LOV, MLA, or other groups? I can't seem to find them. If there's any I mentioned you haven't done, just whatever is first in that list is my idea/request/suggestion for a post.

First off, thank you. I’m glad you liked my choices for that. Second, I haven’t done any other ones, except for the LOV, so I can talk about this idea with a few other characters. Though I will be starting with 1A for this one.

Sato-Springlike Limbs: Since none of the Quirks can really help Sato, might as well double down by increasing his striking power and at least augmenting his lackluster mobility.

Hagakure-Storage: This is basically just giving everyone invisibility. Hagakure can sneak in wherever she wants and suddenly pull out an entire force of heroes, seemingly from nowhere. It is both effective and hilarious.

Mineta-Wings: While Mineta can bounce around on his own, some flight would still be useful. It could help him scatter his orbs across an area, get in a good position to trap someone with them, or let him escape a bad situation.

Aoyama-Infrared: I was tempted to give him "Air Walk" like Lady Nagant, but I think Aoyama needs all the help he can get with his shots. Plus, by seeing people through surfaces, he could hit them more regularly by shooting without line of sight.

Koda-Warping: With how many animal allies Koda either has or needs around him, a Quirk that can let him either get animals to him faster or keep the animals he has out of harm's way would do a lot to help him.

Sero-Hypertrophy: While this could help Sero’s poor defense and offense, I mostly gave it to him to combine it with "Tape". Because I could imagine him making this massive, super dense version of his own tape with this Quirk in play.

Kirishima-Absorb and Release: Considering that Kirishima’s main gimmick is taking as much damage as possible, being hit by the attack shouldn’t be that bad. In return, he can blast back whatever is coming at him for extra damage.

Mina-Air Cannon: Arguably Mina’s greatest weakness is her poor range. With "Air Cannon", she could use that to make and then launch her acid. It could even work to further shape and modify the acid, like making an acid orb.

Tenya-Search: This doesn’t really have any combination potential, but I do think that it would mix well with his natural speed and logistical skills. He could just run around tagging whomever he needs for later, whether they are friend or foe.

Tokoyami-Naval Laser: The second most obvious pick. Not only would this give Tokoyami a reliable means to tame Dark Shadow, but it also gives him some much-needed self-sufficiency as a fighter for when Dark Shadow can’t help him.

Tsuyu-Air Walk: I kind of went over an example like this before, but I believe that this could work really well with Tsuyu’s natural jumping abilities. By making a platform anywhere to bounce off of, she could basically become another Gran Torino.

Denki-Rivet Stab: Using "Rivet Stab" as a medium, this could actually give Denki a lot more control over his electricity and how it is shaped and moves. That and they could give him minor benefits to his mobility, which is definitely his most notable weakness.

Ojiro-Overclock: This may seem odd, but I actually think that Ojiro is the best choice for this power. Between his natural athleticism and high discipline, I think that he could apply it really well, especially when it’s used in tandem with the benefits he gets from his tail.

Jiro-Radio Waves: This just fits in too well with "Earphone Jack". I could see her combing the waves with her jacks, giving her some electrical power to her sound waves, letting her send out messages to her allies communications, or causing nearby radios to stop working.

Ochako-Shoulder-Mounted Jets: It may seem odd to give her flight, but I do think it would keep her from needing to use her power on herself, circumventing a lot of the problems that would come with that. It’s even better since she could push her zero gravity objects around more easily.

Shoji-Shapeshifting Arms: This matchup is too perfect to skip out on. I want you to think about all the arms that Shoji can make. Now I want you to imagine all of them be able to shapeshift into any number of forms and appendages, each of which could be enhanced by "Dupli Arms".

Izuku-Super Regeneration: This is probably the most obvious pairing. If Izuku keeps destroying his body, just make it so he can grow back whatever damage he goes through. It’s basically what happened with Eri, just going at full blast without any real, long lasting consequences.

Momo-Tool Arms: While this does give Momo a more combat focused ability and let her use tools without burning through her fat reserves, I’m honestly more curious about the kinds of combinations she could pull off with it and "Creation", like building up new additions for the arms.

Bakugou-Shock Absorption: Not only does this offer Bakugou some much-needed defense, it pretty much makes his main drawback a non-issue. If this can take hits from All Might, some kickback from Bakugou’s explosions shouldn’t be an issue, even some of the stronger ones.

Shoto-Impact Recoil: This is again to cover up a student’s biggest weakness, in this case being Shoto’s poor personal defense and lacking in close range. This solves both problems and could have some interesting combinations with his heat powers, like turning the kinetic impact into a freezing attack.

Bottom left: Kachi Yara, Zoro's girlfriend; Roronoa Lira, Zoro's daughter, a witch and Law's girlfriend (later wife); and Monkey D. Lena, Luffy's twin sister and Sanji's love interest. (Yeah, so the background story to this one has loads of alternate universe, time travel and universe hopping stuff to it ...) Yara is also vice captain to Lena of the Etoile Pirates.

Right: Mikanomise Ryu, Kakashi's love interest, Kunoichi, Anbu-Member and teacher to Chikari Shie, Nejis girlfriend and later wife. (We put some blood and fortune related powers into this one to give Neji a happy ending)

Writing and cornucopia are what's printed on the back of Ryu's jacket. No idea if I got the Kanji right. Top's supposed to say "Mikan" (Mandarin. I think.), bottom "fruit store" (Ryu isn't from a shinobi clan, her family are fruit farmers). Mask is dragon inspired and part of Ryu's Anbu attire.

Might add background stories if there's demand.

Mirai, Yara, Lena (German: Reena) and Ryu are mine, the others belong to an insanely creative friend and RP-Partner.

2 feet (Tenya Iida x reader) P2

You were surprised that you didn’t have to ask if you could stay with Tenya and you were glad that you ran into him on the way to finding somewhere to stay, but you were worried. Mr. Sato told you not to trust anyone, with that being said you felt a little odd about how he came to find you, so you decided to keep your guard up. “Would you like to get something to eat or do you want to head straight to my estate?” “Um, can we get some food first I wasn’t able to get breakfast this morning?” “Sure.” You followed Tenya into the small, basically empty café and got some food into your system.

After about twenty or so minutes two men came into the café. One had shoulder length gray hair and blue almost gray eyes. The man next to him looked a lot like him, but with crimson red hair in a spiked up style and a scar over one of his cognac eyes. You could admit that both had very nice lashes though. “Mr. Iida,” they said in unison. “Ah, I didn’t expect you two so soon. Y/N, this is Tetsutetsu and this is Kirishima. Tetsu has gray hair and Kiri has crimson. They look alike, but they’re not related it’s just a weird coincidence, they will be your bodyguards until further notice.” “Hello, it’s nice to meet you. Why do I need bodyguards though, Tenya?” “Ah, well go ahead and turn your airplane mode off. You should understand a bit more after that.” When you did you instantly got 20 plus notifications on your phone. Almost every one from your coworkers asking you when you started dating Tenya Iida. Others were notifications from media that you had to follow to see what they said about your boss, but instead of news or pictures of your boss it was pictures of you and of Tenya. Some of which were from right outside the the café. When you looked outside though there wasn’t a single person in sight. “I had Kirishima and Tetsutetsu take those photos. The people that threatened you from before understand their place now.” “What does that mean exactly? And why would you want some random 23-year-old assistant, when you could have anyone?” Tenya looked out the window as he spoke, “Well, it’s just like you said when we first met at my party, it’s ‘hard to get a date when most of the women who’d probably want you are far off and those that aren’t are most likely here with someone that they’re just taking money from.’ Except, you seem to be about two feet in front of me, which doesn’t seem so far off to me. And when I say that they ‘know their place’ they now understand that threatening you means threatening me and I don’t take kindly to threats.” You couldn’t stop your blush from creeping on your face, but you also noticed the far away look on Tenya’s face as he said the last part. “Tenya, I know that you’re the owner of the Iida Corporation, but… what else do you do exactly?” “You’re very perceptive, Y/N.” “I own most of Japan actually. The police, the drug dealers, arms dealers, et cetera. It all belongs to me. The only person that would even think about threatening you at this point would only be Shie Hassaikai. Even then, I’d be able to keep you safe from those bozos, they don’t have anywhere close to the same amount of power as me.” “Wait, you mean that the people that wanted me dead earlier were yakuza?!” “Yes, but listen,” Tenya grabbed your hand and tilted your head with the other so you’d look him in the eyes, “I’m going to keep you safe. While you’re with me, I won’t allow anyone or anything hurt you. I know that you’re scared, but please trust me.”

After your conversation at the café Tenya took you to his estate with Tetsu and Kiri following in a car behind you. You decided to stay in the main house instead of the little cottage because you thought it would be safer. Your room also wouldn’t be too far from Tenya’s office where he spent most of his time (according to Kirishima). When you got there Tenya led you to your room and you both made small talk for a moment before you were interrupted by a flustered man with green hair. “Sir, Kacchan’s here.” “Can it wait? I’m in the middle of a conversation.” “Um, I can ask, but he’s seems worried about something.” Tenya sighed. “It’s okay Ten, I’ll be here when your done I’ll make sure to remember where we were. Go take care of your business.” You had closed your eyes when you smiled and when you opened them you saw Tenya blushing and looking at you. He cleared his throat, “I’ll try to get back soon,” and he walked out the door with the green haired man. When Tenya left you stood up and looked around and notice that there were some things from your apartment around the room. You opened the closet and you saw all your clothes hung up along with some new clothes organized with them. You noticed that you had a balcony and thought it would be nice to get some fresh air. Tenya had a nice little blue couch set out on it. It wasn’t to bright and there was a nice breeze. So you laid out in the sun and soon fell asleep. Tenya came back about 30 minutes later and saw you laying on the balcony through the window. She’s so beautiful, she shouldn’t be in this situation, she shouldn’t be here with me. I’ve made my statement. I need to distance myself now or she’ll get hurt, he thought to himself. He was almost out the door when he decided to check his phone it was 20 degrees celsius (68 degrees fahrenheit). He couldn’t just leave you out there. He went and picked you up gently to not wake you up. In your sleep you cuddled closer to him and he saw a faint smile on your face. He laid you under the blankets in your room and admired you for a second. To hell with distancing myself, I’m already too far down the rabbit hole and I don’t think I’ll ever get out of it now. When Tenya got up his phone buzzed and quickly made a response and smirked on his way out of your room because he knows Kai Chisaki is beyond furious and losing his mind across Japan.

"Can we talk about the BNHA OC Comeback timeline? I've been dying to talk about my theories for the BNHA OC Comeback timeline all day!"

-Me to anyone willing to listen.

Here are the ramblings of me, someone who has no restraint when it comes to coming up with crazy theories about their interests, rambling about their theories on how the BNHA OC Comeback timeline could work.

Note: this is all speculation, and if the people in charge of the AU deem it to not be canon it is not. This was just something I did for fun because I wanted to do some writing. That is why I said could happen and not should happen, because this is all just fun speculation, and none of the other fandoms I am a part of have been able to scratch that itch for me lately.

Also, I will be talking about spoilers for a majority of the anime, but mostly stuff revealed in seasons 3-5, with a little bit of stuff from seasons 1 and 2, since those are the seasons with a lot of the important details that I will be attempting to write work arounds for. I will also be using the Wiki's names for story arcs (a list of which can be found here) when referring to specific plot events.

Also, to start this off, this speculation was pretty much brought upon by this post from the official BNHA OC Comeback blog, but what is important here is the tags.

I think the idea of Class 1-A and Class 1-B being third years would be a good starting point for what I want to be diving into.

First point should be a little obvious but in this timeline, Deku still inherits One for All from All Might. This is mainly because if he didn't, if someone where to write or draw an interaction between this version of class 1-A with, lets say class 1-X for this example, Deku would likely not be there, due to not having a quirk, causing the question of "who is the 20th student in class 1-A?" One for All would likely be passed down to someone else (most likely Mirio because Nighteye was going to recommend him to All Might in the first place, and if Deku is not going to inherit it, I doubt there would be anything in the way of Mirio getting One for All)

Second point I want to point out is the battle between All Might and All for One that had happened before the events of the show. I think All Might will still suffer from his injuries from the fight, and continue being the symbol of peace, even if it is killing him. BUT I think it would be best if All for One gets defeated and gets put into hiding, not initiating any of his plans or finding Tomura Shigaraki. Tomura never getting taken in by One for All would also cause the League of Villains to never form (at least not in the way we are familiar with) so we.

Third Point is, although this is speculation, and I do not know where Nomus come from, I do think, even without the league of villains, there would be some sort of lab somewhere where Nomus are being created, likely as one of the last things All for One was able to set into motion before going into hiding in the AU. (I mostly went with this because I think Nomus as a concept are really cool, and I think it would be great to have some sort of generic enemy for the 1-X and 1-Y students to have to face without the need of creating a new organization)

Fourth Point is because All for One is in hiding, so All for One can not force All Might to reveal his "injured form" (I dunno what else to call it), but I do think when All Might and Sato get engaged, he will maybe (and this is a big maybe) reveal it to the public on his own, as more of a "I'm retiring and settling down now" then a "You must keep fighting because I can not" thing, causing crime to not sky rocket, but still rise because there is no more symbol of peace, since there is still the possibility (at least in the publics mind) that All Might could come out of retirement and go back to saving people.

Alright now I begin with some of the actual stuff that actively happened in the show that Class 1-A and Class 1-B had experienced.

Alright so everything at the beginning of the anime is the same, going up until the USJ arc. This is because, as stated previously, there is no League of Villains to attack the USJ. The only thing I can think of that could possibly stay the same is the All Might vs Nomu fight, because I think Nomus as a concept are cool and that was an awesome fight. The only way for the fight to happen though is that the Nomu is let loose somewhere else, like a highly populated area, because it makes no sense for it to be at USJ without the League.

Next is the sports festival, and this would also go the same. But after that is probably the most interesting arc I leave mostly unchanged, being the Hero Killer Arc. This is because, even without a League of Villain's, there would still be people following Stain's ideologies after he is detained, so I think maybe there could be some sort of small unorganized group of people following Stain's beliefs that there are no more "true" heroes. The group of stain followers would likely be the characters that had joined the League of Villains after the Hero Killer Arc (like Dabi, Himiko Toga, and Twice). It is also unchanged in the sense that the students are interning with Pro Heroes, and that Nomus are running around, being a cool concept (can you tell I like Nomus? I just think they are neat.).

Next is the Final exams Arc, which would go unchanged, but the next arc, the Forrest Camp Training arc, would also not have a League attack (because there is no league), and Class 1-A and Class 1-B have a normal experience at the training camp, causing there to be no Hideout Raid arc, because there is no hideout to raid.

Next, the Provisional License Exams are the same results, so no change here, except Camie Utsushimi would be there instead of Toga's impersonation of her, and still ending up to need to take the Remedial Course.

After that is the Shie Hassaikai Arc and then Remedial Course Arc. The Shie Hassaikai Arc would actually largely go unchanged because it is mainly just another internship for the Hero Course students, with the only change to the arc being the League involvement being removed, even though this would leave some plot holes, which I will fill by saying the small unorganized Stain followers would take the place of the league (since Toga and Twice are apart of the Stain followers group, so they would still end up working for them, filling the same rolls they had in the original Arc). Also Overhaul doesn't lose his arms because there would be no reason for him to get them ripped off (because there is no League of Villains). ALSO this means Eri would be canon to the BNHA OC Comeback, which I wanted to mention since from my knowledge she is a fan favorite. After that, the Remedial Course would go unchanged.

I'm also going to say that Mirio will have already gotten his quirk back during the main events of the AU, since Nighteye had predicted that he would get it back before Nighteye had died. How he gets it back will likely go unanswered, since I have not read ahead to the most recent chapter of the manga, only watching the anime, so we should leave the answer to how he got it back to be unclear just in case he gets it back in a spoiler-y way.

Then, lastly as of right now, the rest of the arcs would go unchanged up untill the latest arc where Todoroki, Midoriya, and Bakugo are interning with Endeavor, excluding the parts of the arc going into the Meta Liberation War, which can not properly go through thanks to their being no League of Villains, but especially because there is no Tomura.

Alright now we get to the stuff some of you are here for, being the new info and timeline stuff that occurs during the year Class 1-X and 1-Y are first years. First off, Class 1-A and Class 1-B would now be third years, which was a concept brought up in the original post that cause my brain to go into theory mode.

I would also like to pose the idea of a new "Big Three", replacing Mirio Togata, Tamaki Amajiki, and Nejire Hado (and also the nameless "Big Three" from when 1-A/1-B had been second years in this AU) since 1-A and 1-B are now all third years. This new "Big Three" would be made up of Katsuki Bakugo, Shoto Todoroki, and Izuku Midoriya, seeing as out of Class 1-A and Class 1-B, those three have shown to be the most consistent heavy hitters (and also being the most relevant to the original plot).

Aside from that, Class 1-A and 1-B would not be doing that much in the AU aside from the new "Big Three" occasionally helping out the first year Hero Course students with their studies.

Anyway if you read this far I really appreciate it. I have some more ramblings about stuff in the tags, but its more side stuff that doesn't really effect this AU within another AU.

Wanna know something? Katsuki since the beginning of the series has always been my favorite character -- and he very quickly became my comfort character.

And so out of all the characters in the series, Katsuki has had the most realistic development for a character like him especially at THIS point in the story. Because we have to remember EVERYTHING that’s happened from the BEGINNING of the series to NOW has only taken place in the time frame of ONE YEAR!!!

Every Major Villain Thing:

The USJ Attack Hero Killer Arc The League attacking the Summer Training Camp Bakugo getting kidnapped by the League AFO vs All Might’s final battle Provisional Hero License (including it since Toga disguised herself as Camie) The Shie Hassaikai Arc School Festival (including it since it does involve villains in Gentle and La Brava) MVA Arc Endeavor Agency (I’m including this since this arc shows us glimpses what’s going on with the LoV / PLF) The War Arc

All of that happened over the course of the kids being FIRST YEARS.

The war arc is basically the last major thing that happens before April rolls around again and the kids become second years. However, because of everything that’s happened, that is put on pause.

And so a character like Katsuki, whose stubborn and can be really hot-headed, isn’t gonna change over night just because he let Izuku see him at his weakest point (Ground Beta -- Deku vs Kacchan part 2). It’s gonna take a character like him time. Especially since Katsuki is someone who isn’t gonna wanna try and ignore it like the past didn’t happen. It’s just that emotions and feelings are a hard thing for him to express (he got it from Mitsuki).

But, at the same time, Horikoshi dropped SUBTLE hints about Katsuki warming up and changing.

Right down to the fact that after the war arc, when he wakes up in the hospital bed his immediate reaction was to go to Izuku’s room.

And knowing the fact that the emotions he let out in front of Izuku at Ground Beta were feelings he held in during the Provisional License Exam regarding the fact that he BLAMED himself for All Might’s retirement. Even though it wasn’t and that what happened to All Might was going to be inevitable.

I have no doubt in my mind that he was gonna apologize to Izuku while they were in the hospital --- and it never happened. Because Sato, Mineta, and Tsu stopped him (and cause Izuku was in a coma). But then when Izuku woke up, he probably left shortly after, which meant that Katsuki still couldn’t say it.

I need to remake my pinned post / canon of my blog from my old blog, but I had put on there that one of the “canon things of my Katsuki” was that he regretted how he treated Izuku in middle school (right down to the ‘swan dive’ comment).

But like... I’ve always tried to stay AS CLOSE to canon Katsuki as I possibly could be while trying to add a bit more depth of aspects of him that we don’t really get to see in canon.

It always felt a little strange coming back to UA.

None of it felt smaller; the halls were still grand, and the doors still loomed over his frame, but it certainly felt odd, walking the halls as an adult.

Izuku had visited UA many times before, though he mostly kept to the teacher’s dorms. He usually came to see Hitoshi or Eri, and by extension, Shouta and Hizashi.

The only other person he ever visited was Principal Nedzu.

“Ah, Izuku! Welcome!” Nedzu said, flashing him a bright smile. “It is always a pleasure to meet with my former students, and this is no exception! It has been far too long since we last had the chance to chat!”

Izuku gave his former principal a polite bow. “Good to see you again, Nedzu. Sorry I couldn’t come by sooner.”

He walked into the office, taking it all in. Not much had changed in the last three years—the walls were still white, there was a plant in the back corner, and a large bookshelf to his left—though a few more pictures were on the wall than he last remembered. One was of All Might and Lemillion two years ago, both of them beaming for the camera. Izuku tried not to let his eyes linger for too long.

(While he was more than happy with his chosen career path, occasionally, the heartbreak he felt on the rooftop all those years ago would flit through him. His heart would clench uncomfortably in his chest, the pain only soothed by the memories of glitter, sock puppets, and laughter.)

“Would you like some tea?”

Izuku tore his gaze from the photo and sat in the chair across from the principal’s desk.

“Yes, please,” He said, taking the offered cup. It was his favorite kind.

They sat in comfortable silence for a moment, relishing in the sweet warmth of their tea. While he sipped his drink, Izuku spotted a miniature snowglobe on the desk. It was one he was very familiar with, having bought it for Nedzu on his first (and only) trip to see his dad in the United States. He had spent almost an hour debating the pros and cons of various souvenirs before his mother finally forced him to settle on the small trinket. Seeing it displayed so proudly brought a soft smile to his face.

Izuku took one more sip of his tea before placing it down and asking, “So, Principal, what would you like to discuss with me? I assume you’d like a copy of my lesson plans for Eri’s internship?” He pulled out a few folders from his bag.

“That would be wonderful,” Nedzu said. “I do appreciate how you are always so prepared!” He took the folders from Izuku and started to flip through them, occasionally taking a drink. “Have you considered whether you will be taking Eri for a work-study? I understand it’s a bit early, but I thought you might have some thoughts,” He said, not looking away from the notes.

Izuku hummed in thought. He had considered it, but he wasn’t sure if it was the best move. Eri hadn’t yet decided what branch of education she wanted to go into, so it might be best for her to be a bit more well-rounded. He could always advise her on his personal time.

He said as much to Nedzu, who nodded in understanding.

“I see,” Nedzu said, placing his teacup down and looking at Izuku. “I quite enjoyed my time teaching you in your high school years; do you think Eri might benefit from something like that? I am aware that she does not possess the same… analytical mindset that you do, but perhaps a shift in perspective would be good for her?”

“Hmm, I’m not so sure.” Izuku looked out the window behind Nedzu. “You and I both know that Eri adores you, sir, but I think it might be better for her to get more experience outside of UA.”

“Oh?”

Izuku nods, continuing, “I'm sure you know this already, but Eri had a very... well, a very sheltered childhood. After she was rescued from the Shie Hassaikai, she had to reintegrate into society slowly. Even now, she sometimes struggles with reaching out to her peers.” He sighs. “She does just fine at home; she loves her family to bits—including most of Class 1-A, as well as Togata. But if we want Eri to continue progressing, then we should help her out of her comfort zone—which has undoubtedly become the halls of UA.”

Nedzu temples his paws. “Very astute, Izuku!” He makes a note before continuing, “Glad to see we are on the same page. You never cease to impress me with your observations!”

“Thank you, sir!” Izuku chuckled.

Nedzu pulled a board out from his desk. “Well then, with business out of the way, how about a game of chess?”

“Only if you’re prepared to lose!”

Nedzu flashed him a feral grin. “Oh, we’ll see about that.”

“Okay, Eri, that’s the last of the basic classroom procedures,” Izuku said, clasping his hands in front of him. “Any questions?”

Eri shook her head. “Nope! I wrote it all down in my notebook; I’ll be just fine, Uncle Deku!”

“It’s Midoriya-sensei when we’re at school,” Izuku said, raising an eyebrow at the girl, “but I’m glad you’ve got it all down.”

Today was the beginning of Eri’s internship with him, and Izuku felt great. Eri was super enthusiastic about everything—even the most tedious and nitpicky policies—which made his life a whole lot easier. He was worried that she might be a bit bored at first, but she powered through, and now they got to focus on the fun part.

“All right, Eri, the kids should start arriving in a bit, so why don't you help me finish setting up the classroom, and then you can wait outside the door to greet the kids?” Izuku grabbed a few worksheets and handed them to Eri, nodding towards the tables. “Hara-sensei should be here in a few minutes as well. She texted me to say she was running behind.” Izuku stifled a laugh and dramatically whispered, “Don’t let her fool you; she’ll probably stroll in holding coffee and a cinnamon roll; it’s just how she is.”

Eri giggled. “ Does she ever bring you any, Uncle—I mean, Midoriya-sensei?”

Izuku rolled his eyes playfully. “Me? Only sometimes. She’s nice though and good at her job, so it’s not a big deal.” He shrugs, diverting his attention to the whiteboard, updating a few things.

Hara-sensei, or as Izuku knew her, Emiko, was a pleasant woman. She got along well with the kids; they loved to goof off with her at recess. (Sometimes, Izuku wondered if she wasn't actually a five-year-old herself.) She had been Izuku’s assistant teacher since he started working at Mimba Private Elementary School, and her help had been invaluable. She was actually only a few months younger than Izuku, but she preferred the assistant position. He had tried to get her to apply for promotion once, only to be met with a firm rejection, and glitter flicked in his face. ("Are you trying to get rid of me?") He hasn't suggested it since.

“I’m going to wait by the door now!” Eri called over her shoulder.

Izuku turned, replying with a quick, “Alrighty!”

Emiko strolled in about two minutes later, holding an iced coffee and—to Izuku’s surprise—three chocolate chip muffins.

“Well, would you look at that! My assistant actually brought me a treat?” Izuku teased.

Emiko laughed, setting her things down on her desk. She had long blue hair tied in two braids and was wearing a long-sleeved yellow button-up under a pair of overalls. (Mimba Elementary was famous for its lax dress code, students and teachers alike.)

“I even brought one for your intern!” Emiko chirped. “I hope she likes chocolate. They ran out of blueberry before I got there.” She picked off a piece of the muffin, popping it in her mouth.

Izuku grabbed one, peeling off the wrapper before taking a big bite. He hummed in delight.

“Are those from Sato’s?” Eri asked, peeking her head in the door.

Emiko grinned proudly, holding one out to the other girl, who raced over to grab it. “You betcha! My cousin works there, so I get a family discount!” She said, shooting a wink at Eri.

“Better eat that quick; the students will be here any minute now!” Izuku poked at Eri’s stuffed cheek.

Eri gobbled up the rest of her muffin in record time before sprinting back to the door.

Emiko turned to Izuku. “Do you want to stand outside with Eri today, or should I? She doesn’t really know me yet, so I wasn’t sure if she’d be more comfortable sticking with you for now.” She finished picking at her muffin, throwing the wrapper in the garbage.

“I’ll stay with her for today, but she can go with you tomorrow. I want to push her out of her comfort zone as much as I can while she’s here.” His lips upturned into a playful smile. “Plus, if you keep buttering her up with food, I’m sure you’ll be besties by the end of the week.” He chuckled, popping another bit of muffin in his mouth.

A teasing grin quickly overtook his assistant's face. “By the way,” Emiko whispered, “have you asked you-know-who out yet?”

Izuku felt his face flush red. “What?!” He squeaked. “Absolutely not! We both know I can’t do that!” He waved his hands in front of his face frantically.

Emiko raised an eyebrow at her co-worker. “Do I know that? Because I can’t come up with a single reason why it would be a bad idea.” She leveled him with an unimpressed stare.

“Um, how about the fact that he’s a literal pro-hero and I’m a kindergarten teacher?” Izuku suggested, bewildered at his assistant’s lack of understanding. “He’s way out of my league! There’s no way he would be interested in me!”

“I just don’t see the harm in asking!” Emiko exclaimed. “You never know until you try, Izuku! If he turns you down, then so what? You move on with your life, and nothing bad happens! It’s really not that complicated!” She huffed, crossing her arms.

Izuku sighed, running a hand down his face. “Look, Emiko. I appreciate the sentiment but, we have quite a few mutual friends, actually. So I don’t want to make it weird for anyone if they find out.”

Emiko looked confused. “Wait, you two know each other? I mean, everyone knows Red Riot, obviously, but he knows you too?

“Well, not exactly. I know a handful of his old classmates from UA, and my best friend’s boyfriend is his best friend, or well, one of them anyway. I’ve never actually met Red Riot before, but we have similar social circles. Not that I’ve been, like, avoiding him or anything! I would never do that! And we both see him here at school anyway so—”

“Izuku. Chill,” Emiko laughed.

His mouth clicked shut, blushing again. “Sorry.”

“It’s fine, just calm down, okay? I get it might make things a little bit weird if he turns you down, but you honestly don’t have a whole lot to lose in this situation. Plus, his kid isn't even in your class! That makes it like, a million times easier to avoid him if it doesn't go well. So just go for it!” Emiko punched his arm before shaking out her hand. “I always forget you’re more muscular than you look.” She pouted.

Izuku breathed out a small laugh. “Thanks, Emiko. I’ll—I’ll think about it, I guess.”

“That’s all I can really ask of you." She gave him a bright smile. "Now go help Eri! She’s gonna be drowning in kids if you don’t!”

“Alright, alright! I’m going!” He waved Emiko off, walking over to Eri.

Little did Izuku know, his new intern had heard every word of his conversation.

And though she may not be a hero student, she was determined to save Izuku from his rapidly failing love life. And she knew just who to ask for help.

“Midoriya-sensei, is it alright if I text my dad real quick? It’ll be just a second!” She plastered on her sweetest smile, one that always got Uncle Deku to agree to whatever she had planned.

“Sure, but make it fast, okay? I’m gonna need your help getting the kids seated and ready for the day,” He said, quickly turning his attention back to the steady stream of kids arriving.

“Thank you!”

Eri pulled out her phone, scrolling through her contacts until she found who she was looking for. She drafted a text as fast as she could before sending it and stuffing her phone back in her dress pocket.

“All done, Midoriya-sensei!” The girl chimed. “What do you need me to do next?”

In his office, Principal Nedzu received a very intriguing message.

“Why, yes, Eri. I do believe that can be arranged!” Nedzu smiled to himself.

FEATURE: Everything You Need to Know about My Hero Academia Before Season 5

In times like these, we need heroes now more than ever. Luckily, the plucky up-and-coming super students of UA Class 1-A are making a comeback in the newest season of My Hero Academia. With a massive following thanks to its inspiring themes, memorable characters, and incredible animation, the ongoing origin story of Izuku Midoriya has truly solidified itself as a modern anime classic. The newest season promises to be just as mind-blowing as ever, so there’s a lot to catch up with before class goes back in session. That’s where I come in.

Check out the major plot points and character statuses on the heroes and villains of My Hero Academia to make sure you’re all up to date for the latest season!

Plot Summary

In a world where everyone is born with a different superpower known as a “Quirk,” anyone can become a superhero. But when it came to Izuku Midoriya, his dreams of becoming one were nearly dashed when he found out at a very young age that he would never develop a Quirk on his own. But his determination and willingness to help others captured the attention of All Might, the greatest hero of all time. After some intense training, Izuku was able to inherit All Might’s Quirk — One For All — and finally take that first step toward achieving his dream.

Midoriya later enrolled in U.A. High School, the most prestigious academy for young superhero hopefuls, and joined a number of fellow students in Class 1-A, each with their own ambitions of greatness. The school’s unorthodox courses strive to bring out the best in its students as each of them learns how to develop their Quirks in unique ways. But each student maintains the grit to overcome insurmountable odds as they reach out toward their goals.

Unfortunately, for every great hero, there’s a villain lurking in the shadows. Despite only being students, Class 1-A has already had to clash with formidable evildoers like Hero Killer Stain, Overhaul, and even the mighty All For One. Even now, Tomura Shigaraki operates within the League of Villains to carry out their sinister plots. Bad guys don’t wait for high school students to earn their diplomas, so Class 1-A and the students of U.A. will have to train their hardest in order to uphold justice and protect the world.

Meanwhile, Izuku continues to learn how to wield One For All for himself and will soon discover what it means to inherit this power and the legacy that now rests on his shoulders.

A New Age of Heroes

In Season 3, All Might used up the last of his strength to take down All For One, a Villain with the power to steal Quirks and wield them as his own. He was forced to retire as a hero, becoming a full-time faculty member at U.A. and leaving the position of the Number 1 Hero vacant. At the end of Season 4, the highly controversial fire-wielding Endeavor replaced All Might as the new Number 1 Hero; his previous position at Number 2 was filled by the red-winged Hawks.

The League of Villains’ Next Move

Tomura Shigaraki and his band of bad guys are still active in their efforts to incite chaos. Their ongoing battle with Pro Heroes has created a stir, and the targeting of U.A. students has tarnished the school’s reputation as adults become concerned both for their safety and the safety of the students. The villains continue their work developing Nomus, genetically-engineered monsters outfitted with Quirks. Though they were initially mindless monsters, the latest experiments have given them overt intelligence.

Protagonists

Ochaco Uraraka aka "Uravity" - alive. As part of her Hero Work studies, she participated in the mission to defeat Overhaul and his organization, the Shie Hassaikai.

Tenya Iida aka "Ingenium" - alive. In Season 2, Iida overcame his vengeance against Hero Killer Stain for permanently injuring his brother. In Season 3, he assisted in rescuing Bakugo from the League of Villains. Later, he passed the test to earn his provisional hero license.

Shoto Todoroki - alive. As a cryokinetic and pyrokinetic, he once rejected his fire abilities in order to reject the heritage of his abusive father, Endeavor. After his fight with Izuku, Shoto began using his fire more openly. In Season 3, he failed the provisional license exam and had to take a special course to make up for it.

Eijiro Kirishima aka "Red Riot" - alive. He was also recruited in his Hero Work studies to face off against the Shie Hassaikai.

Tsuyu Asui aka “Froppy” - alive. She participated in the Shie Hassaikai Raid.

Momo Yaoyorozu aka “Creati” - alive. She assisted in rescuing Bakugo from the League of Villains in Season 3. She also passed her provisional license exam.

Minoru Mineta aka “Grape Juice” - alive. Still a creep.

Kyoka Jiro aka “Earphone Jack” - alive. She played a major role in rallying the 1-A students during the U.A. school festival and was the star performer during their musical number, “Hero Too.”

Fumikage Tokoyami aka “Tsukuyomi” - alive. In Season 3, he was nearly captured by the League of Villains alongside Bakugo, but was rescued before being taken away.

Mina Ashido aka “Pinky” - alive. Last seen participating in the U.A. school festival.

Yuya Aoyama aka “Can’t Stop Twinkling” - alive. In Season 4, he forms a bond with Izuku over their shared struggle in controlling their quirks.

Mezo Shoji aka “Tentacole” - alive. He earns his provisional hero license in Season 3.

Hanta Sero aka “Cellophane” - alive. Participated in the school festival.

Mashirao Ojiro aka “Tailman” - alive. Was a dancer in Class 1-A’s musical performance.

Koji Koda aka “Anima” - alive. Part of the staging team for the school festival.

Rikido Sato aka “Sugarman” - alive.

Toru Hagakure aka “Invisible Girl” - alive. Last seen never.

Toshinori Yagi aka “All Might”- alive. Retired as the Number 1 Hero and is now a full time faculty member at U.A.

Mirio Togata aka “Lemillion” - alive. Lost his Quirk in the fight against Overhaul. Last seen accompanying Eri to the U.A. school festival.

Mirai Sasaki aka “Sir Nighteye” - deceased. Perished in the aftermath of the Shie Hassaikai Raid.

Enji Todoroki aka “Endeavor” - alive. Named the newest Number 1 Hero. He defeated a High-End Nomu unleashed by the League of Villains.

Keigo Takami aka “Hawks” - alive. Assisted Endeavor in fighting the High-End Nomu.

Antagonists

Tomura Shigaraki - alive. Though he and the League of Villains were once tenuously aligned with Overhaul and the Shie Hassaikai, they never saw eye to eye. In the aftermath of the Raid, Tomura destroys both of Overhaul’s arms so that he may never use his Quirk again. He is last seen taking four Quirk-destroying bullets away from Overhaul.

All For One - alive. Captured and currently being held prisoner.

Dabi - alive. Last seen unleashing the latest of the League’s Nomu experiments on a rampage.

Himiko Toga - alive. In Season 3, she stole a sample of Izuku’s blood for unknown purposes. In Season 4, she was loaned by Shigaraki to Overhaul. She returned to the League in the aftermath of the Raid.

Jin Bubaigawara aka “Twice” - alive. He was on temporary loan from the League to assist the Shie Hassaikai.

The Legacy of One For All

The nature of One For All is all too unique. While most people are born with their Quirks, One For All is passed down through its users. The Quirk itself enhances the user’s innate physical abilities astronomically, but it also connects its wielders to the predecessors of One For All. Izuku has had brief glimpses of those who held the Quirk before him. But if the final moments of Season 4 are any indication, his journey with this special Quirk has only just begun.

The hype train for My Hero Academia shows no signs of stopping as it rolls into Season 5. Despite everything that our young heroes have faced so far, there’s still no telling what new challenges await them. Be sure to catch up on all the intensity and drama here as we enter a new semester at U.A.!
