Hummingbird moths.

I first saw them in Mâcon France drinking nectar from potted plants along the Saône River while having a delicious dejeuner (lunch) back in by 1999.

Last Friday, in Paso Robles, I saw hummingbird moths again, in person.

As big as a Rufous Hummingbird, but evolved before the continents divided, millions of years ago.

Beautiful creatures.
