• now for this, doing this has to take big (as in really big) responsibilities. idols dating another idol is a sign of danger and social media breakdowns from hardcore fans. the idols have to be extra careful when going out on dates, included.

• nazuna knew he was in love with you. someone from another idol unit. he doesn’t care how many terms or way he’ll say it, but he is highly infatuated with you.

• when he told to his unit members he’s officially has a date, and it was an idol—first, they were super happy for him (of course), though tomoya was the one who cut their celebration short and asked him if hiding a relationship with someone like you, would be easy.

• nazuna knows it isn’t simple. after all, two famous idols going out with one another…and if those idols have extreme fans? it’s almost like a death sentence. sure enough, nazuna will make it work for the both of you. he promises that <3

• dating nazuna as idols…eh, let’s say it was hard to always go out in disguises. masks, sunglasses, hats, you name it. you two did your absolute best to go out and look unrecognisable in public. paparazzis are crazy after all. the cinnamon cafe was the best destination mostly for your dates. praise niki.

• he’ll always make sure the atmosphere around you both is comfortable enough to be in, and once your approval has been ensured, the date begins.

• there were times their producer would invite you for collabs with rab*its, either for a song or a photoshoot, and with wide grins you knew this was the best thing to do while in a secret relationship.

• nevertheless, nazuna would do anything just to stick with you.

• he’ll sneak kisses as a reward at the back rooms ;)

CHIAKI MORISAWA

• buckle in, folks, for being in a relationship with this man is going to be a rollercoaster ride.

• CONGRATS! a hero has saved his love interest!

• being with chiaki morisawa…how do i put my finger into this?

• it’s almost like you’re the mother and he’s that super excited son going on a field trip. a small explanation of your relationship.

• though as said, chiaki’s love language is definitely acts of service without any doubts. he’s a hero after all!

• dates would him: mostly on arcades, karaokes, shopping sprees, and sometimes even visiting toy stores (i’m a 100% serious). this man is a definition of an adult toddler.

You can barely wrap your lips around the concepts and words before you realize it has slipped through like water, and what lay in your hands is just a pang in your chest? When every moment away from it clouds your mind just a little more, until the memories are threadbare? or: Adrien understands what it means to have a home.

Back when I first met Autumn I was on a reading spree and I saved this fic for last and it just completely stunned me. I remember whipping out a textbox page to annotate for my comment, and that's what kicked off insanely long commenter™ Sunny. No matter what Autumn says! This! Is! My! Favorite! Autumn! Fic! At least until I see the secret one she won't let me see... but no, it will always be special to me.

In the wake of a summer that Adrien never wanted to end, all that he wishes to push away comes back to haunt him when the school years starts again: self-doubt from identities that feel no more real than anything else; ghosts of parents who still talk to him; and most all, a fear that the people he loves will leave him in time, too. however, maybe the person who can relate most to him is the one he's never far from.

The best memories of reading this fic as Autumn wrote it and chatting about it and being teased with every Félix mention and being in love with her mind forever and always... if you've ever liked an asukiess meta post or idea post you'll love this. Combination of all of those beautiful things.

PoliZ’s WIP Update - 22 Nov 2023

Combining last week & this – I was on vacation and on the go, so didn’t manage much in terms of a word count. I touched 3 fics (3 WIPs) for a total of 1139 words.

On Ao3, I posted:

No Sensation to Compare With This - 1990’s AU with Rhodey and Tony meeting Carol and Maria at a bar just off base before a test flight. (Tony/Maria endgame)

A Close Call - pre-War Stucky with pining!Bucky and love confessions.

Beaten to the Punch - WinterIron College AU - Tony & Bucky as camp counselors with mutual pining.

I have 18 semi-active WIPs 😬 with my current deadlines being the WinterIron Bingo which wraps on 16 Dec and Stucky’Verse Bingo which wraps on 22 Dec.

See below cut for what I’m working on/planning to work on - arranged more or less by bingos/challenges/etc. As always, feel free to send me prompts or plot bunnies as well as asks regarding any of these projects or any other WIPs I’ve got out there. Interaction really helps feed the Muse and keep me motivated!

After reading @psychiccatpanda‘s amazing Morguna and the Green Queen, I got the itch to explore the Soldier’s POV and talked Faustie into collab’ing with me! We’re working on a new part of the series, and I’ve contributed about 900 words towards the 2500-ish we have so far. Going to see if I can squeeze any of my BBB squares into this fic.

WinterIron Bingo - [WIB_R1] (Ends 16 Dec 2023)

I have twenty-one fills completed for this brand-new bingo event that I’m helping mod!

* B column squares for the Iron Soldier badge (complete a bingo with a single work). – Alpha Tony Stark, “That was not my intention.”, James Rhodes, Alpine loves Tony and Blind date. Need to figure out an angle on this - possible remix of A Sugar-Coated Pill?

* G4 - AU: College Students – Posted Beaten to the Punch this morning - WinterIron mutual pining College AU that crosses over with my Volunteering Together square. It came in at 553 words.

N3 - FREE - filling this with Somewhere To Turn - a WinterIron No Powers AU with mall security!Bucky and young!runaway!Tony. It’s crossing over with my BBB Cold square - I’ve tweaked it a bit since posting on Tumblr (coming in at 881 words) and it will go up on Ao3 1 Dec.

* O5 - Gentle – use this poem as inspiration?

Stucky’Verse Bingo Round 1 - [SVB_R1] (Ends 22 Dec)

Thirteen fills, two WIPs and a couple of ideas.

* A1 - Harem - crossover with CABB Secret/Forbidden Relationship - Bucky and shrimpy!Steve are both concubines who love each other more than their lord. I poked at this a little for 71 words.

* B4 - Sugar Daddy - looking for inspiration - combining with CABB Nov Adoptable: Sugar Baby. Possibly shrimpy!Steve and beefy!Bucky?

* A4 - Fairy Tale Curse - this seems custom-made for a continuation of Beyond the Beast😁 Nothing written yet, other than some Vague Ideas.

* C3 - FREE - probably using this for Chapter 2 of Half of the Flesh and Blood That Makes Me Whole - a Bucky POV remix of at least the first part of Take What Was Wrong (And Make it Right), which is currently sitting at 52 words. I’m expecting at least one more chapter, possibly two, depending on how far I want to take the remix.

C5 - Last Resort - Posted A Close Call to Ao3 last Friday. A pre-war Stucky ficlet with protective!pining!Bucky - also filled my HHB Dealing with Extreme Cold, and WFB - Huddling for warmth squares (250 words) along with Whumptober Delirium prompt. It came in at 827 words.

Bucky Barnes Bingo - [BBB_R5] (Ends 10 Jan 2024)

I’ve got sixteen fills, four WIPs, and a couple more Vague ideas.

* B5 - Cold - see WIB FREE square

* U3 - Fireplace - Working on a 1980′s No Powers WinterIron fic set at a ski lodge where Tony’s being wooed by poetry and love letters that Bucky wrote to someone else. Started poking at this as a crossover with a Love Letters prompt and it’s sitting at 129 words.

* C2 - Yelena Belova– The plan is to use this prompt in the next chapter of Peresmešnik, (aka Three Avengers and a Baby), which is currently sitting at 1303 words (600-ish of which are mine).

* C3 - FREE - the October BBB Discord party resulted in a hilarious Mob AU communal story (mobster!Bucky & clueless!Steve plus Clint&Natasha&Scott shenanigans) that several of us did/are going to contribute to Rashomon-style.

* C5 - Marriage of Convenience/Pretend Couple - next chapter of Lady Natasha’s Consort and Lord Steve’s Companion. Got a spark of an idea the other day that might get me a bit further on this fic.

* K3 - Magic - Aro!Bucky healing with a kiss idea?

* Y3 - Alpine - see WIB Iron Soldier combo.

* Y4 - Forgotten Things - using this for Chapter 4 of You Can’t Stop It With a Gun - it’s sitting at 116 words at the moment.

* May Adopted - Insomnia - finally got this filled with The Dead of Night, which also filled a Flash Fiction Friday prompt [#FFF211 An Old Friend] along with my JBB FREE square. It came in at 317 words and will post to Ao3 before this event ends.

Chapter Five: - Nat takes the reader to their room to paint their nails and do their hair, only to find out one of their weaknesses.

Chapter Six: - Peter teaches you how to play Mario Kart on the Switch, but you’re quick to become a little too confident around him, so he decides to get revenge in the most playful way possible.

Chapter Seven: - You finally meet Wanda, and she invites you to join in with biscuit decorating with Peter. It all goes well until Peter encourages you to prank Wanda, and she’s quick to find out.

Rapping her knuckles against the glass pane, Anzu quietly stepped back and waited as Tsumugi skittered up to the sliding doors to pry them open. “Ah, Anzu-chan,” he cordially greeted her, albeit he was staggered to scrutinize her standing before him, “We haven’t seen you come by Switch’s room since we had Reine-chan step-up as our producer.”

“I’m sorry for dropping by so suddenly,” Anzu apologized sincerely, bowing her head slightly before continuing, “I got permission to inquire about borrowing a member to collaborate with 2Wink’s upcoming kindergarten performance.”

“That’s fine. I’m quite busy myself, but⋯” Tsumugi commented as he trailed off, pivoting on his heel, “Reine-chan, are either Sora-kun or Natsume-kun available by chance?”

The aforementioned producer leered up from their notebook after etching down a few cursory notes. “The weird wizard is. Why?” Reine questioned, incapable of discerning Anzu behind Tsumugi due to his imposing silhouette.

“Anzu-chan is here and she wants to find someone for an upcoming performance,” Tsumugi elucidated, “Can you ask if he’ll do it?”

With a heap of exaggeration, Reine answered, “You got it!”

——Ambling into one of Natsume’s various secret rooms, Reine descried him with his idiosyncratic potion brewing vocation in full-effect. “Natsume-kun, Anzu-chan is here,” Reine began slowly, snatching up a remiss rag to seize the vial out of his (uncovered) hands, “and she wants to know if you’ll help 2Wink with a collab.”

“Hmm,” Natsume practically purred in thought, adding on, “Only if you come with me. I won’t go otherwise.”

“Why do you want me to come with you?” Reine asked curiously, furrowing their brows together—Anzu was more than capable to look after him, he didn’t need them to come along.

Swiftly, Natsume grabbed their wrist and tugged them down so that their face was level with his. He watched as their cheeks blossomed with heat and embarrassment, and felt sated just by the sight alone. “Because you’re my love—producer, are you not?”

Heaving a sigh, Reine avoided his gaze in hopes to occlude him from further descrying how happy they were. “⋯ I’m sure Anzu-chan won’t mind if I do,” Reine relented rather easily, their abashed nature deluging them.

And without warning, Natsume chastely kissed their lips.

——Both Reine and Natsume sauntered to the assented meeting point. Their expressions easygoing and lighthearted. Anzu and Tsumugi exchanged amiable goodbyes, with the girl expressing her gratitude for letting her steal two precious Switch members, before the newfound trio began walking to discuss the plans.

“It’s nice that Reine-san is coming along, too,” Anzu mentioned softly, “I’m sure Natsume-kun wouldn’t want to be apart from Reine-san for too long either, hehe.”

“That’s right~ If I leave my little bunny all alone, I’m sure someone would try to gobble them up for themselves,” Natsume proclaimed airily, yet with an unfathomable weight.

Anzu chortled with mirth underlining her tone, leaving Reine obfuscated. “You’re so protective over them, Natsume-kun.”

“They attract trouble, after all♪”

Reine, completely left behind in the conversation, simply gaped incredulously as the two of them enthused about them fervently.

New year, and I forget to post art here all the time, so I'll just do some favourite pieces that I did throughout 2023. Some might be reposted, I forget what I post here. XD

Favourites of January

Vietnamese Year of the Cat, and the Chinese Year of the Rabbit with Tiziano and "Little Bunny" Pierro.

Spent the early point in the month working on the CotC Chibi Project! Hopefully I get a lot done this year too!

To complement the Valentines drawings, I did a White Day Countdown as well! I drew the partner that I ship them with. I hope to draw the outfits and ships again for Valentines Day or White Day... maybe both? Anyway, that's Barrad, Leon, and Tiziano!

4th Anniversary drawing of CotC's demo! Hard to believe that 2024 is the 5th Anniversary! Better go all out on that one later! Happy Anniversary to Sofiano!

Project Path Action hosted a Weekly Drawing prompt, so I drew Elletrix for Week 3 which was about favourite Guardians of the Light! Love her so much!!

Seed Story's 1st Anniversary art! I drew all the know Sage Caits! I am happy that they are able to playable now!

Collab for Cinna for the 3rd Anniversary, I still look at this and say, "We did that???" So much fun to draw all of them! And Cinna did AMAZING with the ring forms.

After drawing Saint Sazantos in the anniversary drawing, I really wanted to try drawing him normally. So I did that for the PPA Weekly Prompts, was fun!

My second choice for the PPA Free Week! I love Leon a lot!! Needed an excuse to draw him with the spear that I now headcanon his. (It's the Grandport spear!!) He matched perfectly with the earlier one of Elletrix! They are married!!

Team Asano Secret Santa entry! Was fun to draw this scenario!

Holidays in Grandport would be so lively, so dressing the Elves up as... well elves was fun! And of course incorporating the lord of Grandport with her husband was also much needed! I love Grandport a lot!!

I wanted to draw a 1 Year Anniversary drawing for Erika/Elle's CotC implementation! She was one of the most excitable reveals they've done in a presentation! At this rate, nobody's going to top her reveal unless it's Oskha or Tiziano.

We are so excited to be hosting another round of TUA Masked Author! Here are the eagerly-awaited details:

What is TUA Masked Author?

TUA Masked Author is an Umbrella Academy fandom event that allows you to embrace your creative muse and test your investigative prowess! In the first phase, authors post their TUA fics to an anonymous AO3 collection. Afterwards, we'll release a list of participating authors and the guessers will put on their detective hats to try to match the fics to their authors -- with coveted bragging rights at stake for the best detective!

When is the event?

TUA Masked Author: 3MA will take place from Saturday, July 9th through Sunday, July 31st 2022.

Our AO3 collection is live! The official posting period is July 9th through 15th. You may submit your fic to [the TUA Masked Author 3MA Collection] at any time from now up to (and including) July 15th, although fics submitted early won't be visible until the 9th.

After entries close on the 15th, check the tumblr for a list of participating authors (to be posted shortly after submissions close) and your guessing ballot.

Put on your detective hats! You will be able to submit your guesses up to July 29th.

All secrets will be revealed on Sunday July 31st -- we'll unveil each of the fics' authors, as well as crown the best guesser!

Reminders

Anyone is welcome to take part - you can write, or guess, or both!

We welcome all writers! You do not need to have written anything for the Umbrella Academy before (or any fic at all) to join in. We love seeing returning authors as well!

All fics must be genfic - no romantic or sexual focus. This allows readers to read and enjoy a wider variety of fics.

3MA will have an optional TUA Season 3 theme. We're looking forward to seeing how the new season sparks inspiration for our authors! That said, the theme is optional and not required - feel free to explore any aspect of the show (keeping it gen!) that you'd like.

You can submit up to two fics per author.

When it comes to word count, only one fic submitted per author may be under 500 words (we had some devilishly difficult drabbles last round!). There is still a maximum wordcount per fic of 10,000 words within the posting period (although you can continue to update your fic after the event is complete to be as long as you'd like).

We welcome collaborations between authors! Each author may submit a maximum of two fics, which could be two individually-written fics, or one solo fic and one collaboration, or two collabs. (Submitting just one is fine too!)

Summary: On the way to college classes, a gender neutral reader with a secret identity meets eight new friends and a cat who have secrets of their own.

Content note: humorous fluff safe for all ages, food, references to straightwashing in the show's English dub, San and Mingi might or might not be a couple, no reader romance

Your laptop was heavy in your messenger bag as you trudged to school unenthusiastically. Even though everyone agreed you were a genius, your stomach still tightened on days like today and you were eager to get the looming exam over with. In a pleasant surprise that distracted from your worries, along the way you encountered the most beautiful cat you had ever seen. She was sunning herself on the path and it made the points of her Siamese coat glow a rich brown in the morning light. There was something unusual about her coloring, however. On her forehead the dark shade was marked by a crescent moon shape in the same tan as her lighter fur. Stooping to talk before offering a hand to sniff in greeting, you were interrupted in your admiration by a voice behind you.

“Byeol, there you are. San has been looking for you everywhere.” The newcomer approached the feline and pretended to have a conversation with some head nods and an “Oh really” tossed in ending with, “Thank you for telling me.” Turning his attention from the cat, he looked you over head to toe as you stood again, taking in your sailor-style shirt, then nodded appreciatively. “Nice hair, I like the blue.”

“Thanks,” you offered tucking a short strand behind your ear. “You probably would look great in that color too.” Suddenly concerned you were chatting with a young teen, you thought to ask, “How old are you?”

Your eyes went wide as the mulleted blond announced, “It is my first year...” Stepping away from the high school freshman you saw him hold up his hands as he hung his head. “My first year of college,” he emphasized. “I am twenty-three and started a bit late.” Offering a hand to shake he supplied, “Name's Hongjoong. It is good to meet you.” Seeing your skepticism he added, “It is my height, isn't it?”

“Combined with your bunny backpack and the school uniform, you do look a little youthful.”

He nodded in understanding. “People misjudge my age a lot, I am not always the most mature person and I can get frustrated easily, even to the point of crying.”

“Happens to all of us at times,” you reassured kindly.

His smile in return was grateful. Changing tone, he spread his skirt out in display. Hongjoong explained, “There is no dress code, the skirt is just my taste.” He twirled a little to show off the movement and you noted it had a complete slit which made the choice of trousers along with it make sense.

Despite the awkwardness earlier, you were already at ease around Hongjoong and felt you might become good friends. “The college is my destination too, we can continue together.”

He brightened at the invitation, “I'd like that.” As you walked on you passed an electronics store with televisions in the window. Hongjoong grinned to see the screens display a handsome blond haired man who looked born to model.

You looked dreamily at the images. “Venus! My favorite actor,” you sighed. “He's so gorgeous.”

“And just as attractive up close,” Hongjoong bragged.

You looked at your companion in awe and asked in a stunned voice, “You have seen Venus in person?”

In a stage whisper Hongjoong disclosed, “Constantly. His real name is Seonghwa and he's my roommate in our dorm. I can introduce you if you come over for dinner tonight. He is really a sweet guy, bit of a cleaning freak but that comes in handy.”

Your jaw dropped. An evening meal with Venus from your favorite show? You were amazed at the turn this morning was taking. “Yes, I would not pass that chance up for anything,” you excitedly agreed. Recalling your manners you made sure to add, “Of course, getting to know you better is an important reason I am accepting your offer too.”

“Of course,” he echoed. “I could tell that was your real motive,” he preened with a wink as he continued his stroll.

“Hongjoong, wait up! You left home without us,” panted the men who caught up with a jog and now stood before you drinking from a shared water bottle. The taller of the two had a green head of hair that made him stand out almost as much as his imposing size, while the other bore a longish, stunning black shade and some attention-getting pants of bright red.

“Yunho, Wooyoung, meet...” Hongjoong hesitated as he tried to recall if he had been told your name and forgotten it or if it had not been given yet.

“Oh, um, you can call me Mercury, like the element. It is a nickname I use.”

“Like the planet too,” Wooyoung commented with a hard gaze your way.

“Mercury, this is Yunho,” Hongjoong said while indicating upward with his arm toward a cheerfully beaming man, “and the surly fellow is Wooyoung. They also live with me.”

Wooyoung waved off his friend's description, “I can be friendly when I want to be.” He punctuated the assertion with a smile your way as he opened his shirt a few buttons and ran a hand through his hair revealing purple tones in the sunlight. “I may seem serious at times but that is just because my attention is often split. I can sense danger and am always on the lookout for foes.”

“He is a priest at the local temple,” Yunho brought up with a nervous laugh before hissing, “You make it sound like you are superhero or something like that, Wooyoung.” Turning back to you he implored, “Ignore his rambling, please.”

“But we are....”

Yunho clapped a hand over his friend's mouth cutting off whatever Wooyoung wanted to reveal. Glancing at the sun's position in the sky, Yunho fretted, “Oh would you look at the time! We better get going so we are not late for classes.” Now walking at your side he requested, “Don't listen to anything he says, Wooyoung is a natural storyteller and even if he makes it sound like we are the kind of people who fight evil by moonlight, please do not believe a word of it.”

Hongjoong agreed a little too readily, “Exactly! We are more 'winning love by daylight' types.” Seeing your curiously arched eyebrow he hastily clarified, “I promise I am not hitting on you.” With a fond look bordering on starry eyes he admitted, “My heart is set on a tall stranger who appears in the night. They look so good in their tuxedo and one day I hope to see the person behind the mask, maybe even have a kid together. I'd like a daughter. Wouldn't pink hair be lovely? One can hope we would be best friends too.” Realizing he was oversharing, Hongjoong unclasped his hands at his chin and concluded, “Now if you get to meet Mingi, he is the real flirt around here but don't pay him any mind, he and San are very dear to each other.”

Just at that moment a motor scooter bearing the two friends under discussion pulled up and the men already with you greeted the arrivals. Wooyoung made the introductions, “Mercury, meet Mingi and San.”

The tall blond driving inclined his head as he walked the bike while remaining seated, keeping pace with you. “Mercury, is it? Lovely name for a lovely person.” The group rolled their eyes and San just shook his vibrant head of wavy teal hair that just brushed the violin case on his back. He knew the talk was all bluster and that Mingi's love already belonged to another.

“Not to pry but, are you a couple? You seem close,” you inquired of the attractive pair.

“Yes, we are dating,” Mingi answered eagerly with a warm glance back to his boyfriend.

“Of course not, we are just cousins, nothing else going on here at all,” San said with his arms still wrapped tightly and what could easily be described as romantically around Mingi despite the scooter moving at a very slow roll for the entire conversation. Seeing your confusion they amended their answers. “Well, it depends,” San hedged.

“This will sound like a weird question,” Mingi began, “but what language do you hear us speaking?”

After a moment of doubt you admitted a little quizzically, “English?”

“Yeah, we are cousins, definitely. That's all.” Even San did not sound convinced by his own words, especially given the way they looked at each other so tenderly. The queer subject was dropped as your growing party had now reached the college gates.

Two more men streaked by as the clock tower struck the hour and everyone rushed for their buildings. Hongjoong called out, “Yeosang, we have a guest for dinner, cook something, would you?”

The brown-haired man with a ponytail yelled back, “Got it!” as he headed to class in stunning green boots.

“He's shy,” Hongjoong explained. “Yeosang had trouble making friends until he met us, but he will warm up to you in time. Shouting at the other newcomer headed in a different direction Hongjoong lectured, “Don't be late tonight, Jongho.” The okay hand sign held up in answer over his black hair was good enough to take as a commitment for the evening. Hongjoong said he would text you their address after exchanging phone numbers. That accomplished, you parted until tonight, giddy with the knowledge of new friends and hope of discovering if Hongjoong really did live with the star you knew as Venus.

The math test went well and you made it through the rest of your courses with only the occasional daydream about Venus while writing his secret name Seonghwa all over your class notes on the laptop. Suffice it to say you came to believe Hongjoong when Venus himself opened the door at your arrival that evening. Down to signature red glasses reminiscent of the mask his well-known character wore, he certainly looked the part of a star. Sensing your shock, he introduced himself as Seonghwa and casually led you by the hand into the dorm. “I am just going to go set the table, may I leave you in Yunho's care?”

Nodding silently, you let Seonghwa maneuver you to the couch with a hand at your back before he disappeared toward the scent of food cooking. Loath to see Seonghwa go, you realized he probably did not want to be stared at and perhaps might have stuck around if you had been more composed. As for yourself, you could also use a break from the intensity of his good looks that were equally as handsome in person as on television and billboards, just as promised by Hongjoong. You sighed happily and relaxed into the seat cushions joined by Byeol, your first friend of the morning, who jumped into your lap and began to purr as you scratched under her chin.

Waiting patiently for your full attention, Yunho made general conversation while you recovered your wits. “You were right on time, that's something I appreciate.”

“Yunho is never late, it is as if time itself bends to his charms,” Jongho declared pleasantly from a chair nearby. Giving his junior a warning look not to say too much, Yunho divulged that Jongho was the most powerful among them. Taking the cue, Jongho began to break fruit from the appetizer plate before him and offered you an apple half after he courteously removed the seeded center using a melon ball tool.

“Pluto, Saturn, it is okay to be fully yourself,” announced a motherly voice nearby and you looked for the source. “Mercury is one of us.” It must have been the apple crunching in your mouth that concealed the direction so much that it seemed to have come from your lap. Surprised did not begin to describe it when you realized it was indeed Byeol the cat who had spoken. She jumped off your legs and sauntered to the table, then was on it with an elegant hop. She licked her paw and began to wash the moon design on her forehead as you looked to the men for an explanation.

“Yes, Byeol can talk and told me about you this morning.” Hongjoong walked into the room and sat on your other side, describing to Yunho and Jongho your meeting. “She knew right away you were the last of the Sailor Scouts needed to complete our group.”

Jongho looked at you in a new light. “Just like we do, you also save the planet from evil?”

The response came quickly, “I've never run from a real fight.”

Yunho laughed at your conviction. “You sound like one of us, alright.”

You broke into smiles all around knowing you would not have to battle on your own again. A few times somebody had shown up after you had done all the work, announcing they would be ready to help again at any time, but otherwise you had been going it alone and that was exhausting. Come to think of it, that masked person was probably the one Hongjoong had mentioned having a crush on. Surely there were not that many people running around your city in a tuxedo and white eye mask while swishing their red-lined cape.

It was at that point Yeosang proudly announced dinner was served and you made your way to the dining room where Mingi gallantly seated you then did the same for his beloved San. “Thank you, Uranus, you always take the best care of me,” San purred while keeping Mingi's hands in a lingering hold.

“I live to serve you, Neptune,” Mingi gushed. Watching the two, it was a sure thing they were family to each other, but you were doubtful it was the cousin relationship they claimed. Everything your eyes saw pointed to a strong romantic partnership even if they did not admit to it. One day when you were closer friends you would ask if the choice to conceal their love was not their own.

“In honor of our special guest, and now crime fighting partner if I overheard correctly, I present my newly invented dish, spaghetti and meatballs with three-hour whipped egg on top.” Yeosang twisted his hands nervously as everyone reexamined the brown items topping their plates. Apparently the flat meatball was not one at all, despite being the exact same shade of brown. It seemed the egg experiment was a rare misstep from the otherwise exemplary cook in their midst.

“Jupiter, I think your recipe needs a little work,” Wooyoung snarked.

“Shut it, Mars, I'd like to see you do better.” Yeosang retorted lovingly.

Wooyoung leapt from his seat brandishing the plate, ready to rub the failure in Yeosang's face.

Trying to calm the situation, you had one request before eating. “I want to take a photo, if I may, to celebrate the occasion.”

They were pleased to gather at your request. You set the timer on your phone and ran behind the group. Unfortunately, Wooyoung had chosen that moment to sneak off, supposedly to eat his burned egg in the kitchen standing suspiciously close by the trash can. In your haste, you forcefully knocked into his plate. Luckily it remained in his grasp but the spaghetti went flying, landing on Hongjoong's head.

“Tell me you got a picture of that,” Seonghwa asked in delight. Despite his leadership role in the group, he still could enjoy silliness from time to time. His smile increased infinitely wider when you shared the screen of your phone once you got back to it. Taken at the exact moment when two meatballs were situated on the victim's head, pasta was also caught streaming out from his scalp emulating pigtails of long hair. Even Hongjoong could admit the photo was funny once he had wiped most of the sauce from his head with Seonghwa's assistance. To be teasingly called meatball head from then on was less so, but Hongjoong was strong enough to bear it knowing laughter was needed to de-stress from your group's crucial job of keeping Earth safe from outside threats.

mehi and mis are inseparable. probably the ones who play ‘we were here’ and ‘super bunny man’ together. they mald at each other sometimes.

cupid will probably flirt with mehi. clippers are ecstatic whenever the two of them collab. mehi just dodges said flirts because she doesn’t know what to say.

faust and mis bicker on stream a lot. it’s like they’re siblings. mis probably booby-trapped faust’s minecraft house because she lost to him in uno.

cupid’s probably the only one not scared of faust whenever he goes killer mode in propnight. he just finds it funny whenever faust sadistically kills mehi in one of the rounds.

mehi is the gordon ramsay of the group. no, i will not elaborate.

whenever nijien has an among us collaboration including spectrum, mis will intentionally accuse cupid of being impostor, no matter her role. mehi notices this but just plays along.

on their first offline collab, spectrum is chaotic. if you think they’re loud in online collabs, imagine them in the same room singing never gonna give you up in metal (faust), opera (mehi), rap (cupid) and normally (mis) all at the same time.

spectrum’s shared secret is that they witnessed faust twerking to dcl during said offline collab. not a single word was spoken about that afterwards.

So 2023 is almost over, let's summarize the art that has been made in 2023!

January - Stick together forever no matter what

Yeah, let's start with a birthday image, and one I am not the most proud of. It's mostly Spacey's "Tude Face" that I hate. I was desperate for an expression so I scribbled on whatever. Not a great choice in hindsight. Still a fine drawing but that still annoys me.

February - Spooks Serious Smoke

Cartoons should smoke, and Spooks proves that with this drawing. Look at him go with this great drawing.

March - Getting a good Fisting from the Ray

I really like drawing Rayman. The goofy fellow provides a lot of fun ideas and allows me to be especially creative. With Rayman 3 being one of my favorite games of all time, I say it was fitting that Rayman 3 got an anniversary drawing.

April - Bomberman 40th Anniversary Pieces

One of the big strides I made in 2023 was joining in serious art collabs. I have dabbled in art collabs before in 2021 but now I joined stuff that had actual scale and it was neat to see. The Bomberman Collab I particularly enjoyed as I found some new people along the way. It was an experience I would like to relive.

May - Across the Radio Frequencies

Around May 2023, I wanted a new wallpaper, and putting 2 and 2 together I made myself an all-new wallpaper. NGL I really like how experimental this was for me. It stands out a lot compared to the rest of my gallery.

June - Almost like Brothers

For June I decided to remake an older drawing of mine that I felt like had some major potential to it. That being the 2021 Almost like Brothers drawing. NGL I really like how the remake turned out. It's goofy, silly, but also fun.

July - Bothered Basterd (Artfight)

Artfight Year 2 was a little weaker than year 1 but still had some great pieces. Out of all of them this one is my favorite. It was a little hard to choose but that one is my favorite since I liked drawing the character in question, Dust Bunny.

August - Super Nilla's Coffee Mania

FizzyRizz could not get a real job, so he had to gamble all of his money to Super Nilla's Coffee Mania.

September - Pyoro leaks Nintendo's files

So remember that saga on Twitter where this Pyoro Twitter account leaked a Nintendo Direct? Yeah this drawing is based off that. NGL Pyoro is a fun character to draw, and the drawing turned out great.

October - Secret Monster Collab Tristone - The Princess (The Princess Society)

Now this is another art event I participated in. I enjoyed this drawing pretty well but once again it's the vibe of collaboration that made this one. So yeah, nothing much else to say.

November - 2 Decades of Hominid

So, did you know that 2 Alien Hominid games came out in November 2023? Yeah I celebrated it with this drawing. It was a lot of commitment but the effort was worth it, since I honestly consider it the best drawing I made this year.

December - A random Mushly

Yeah I drew some dumb Mushly here since I wanted to do one last thing but I was too lazy lmfao.

I don't have any advanced thoughts on 2023's art tbh, it was another year filled with improvements. If there is something, in particular, I enjoyed a lot compared to previous years, it was the collabs I participated in. Even if I hate how the art community acts a lot of the time, I still have to admit that when artists come together to celebrate something, it can make for a fun experience. The only other thing I have to say is that I hope real life doesn't get in the way of my hobbies since I still really like doing art even if it can be hard to fit it in sometimes. That is all I have to say really. See y'all in 2024!
