Not having a great week to be honest. Hurt my back and have to go I to work every day this week which doesn't help. I normally walk to Lewisham in the mornings and get a train to Victoria but got a train to Charing Cross instead. Upside of all that, I managed to get this photo at Hither Green station this morning. Till the Fest is happening in New Cross and Deptford from the 8th to the 10th October. The line up is absolutely stacked with awesome bands, here are just a few of the ones that I am particularly excited about seeing...

The main reason for people not meeting their feeding goals for their new babies is perceived low supply. Perceived. Blew my mind when I first found out. What are your thoughts? 🤔 Advice from @imogenibclc on how to tell if everything is ok: Especially in the early days this can be tricky to know. There are some simple ways of knowing. 1. Monitor how many wet and dirty nappies they are having. After all what goes in must come out. From when your milk volume increases (usually about three days after the birth of your baby) you should see about 6 wet nappies per day. Your baby should also be having several soft yellow or mustard coloured poos per day. 2. Also look & listen for swallowing - when your baby is breastfeeding well you will see their jaw moving throughout the feed (with occasional pauses) If you can’t hear them swallowing look for the slight pause in their sucking when they swallow. 3. Weight gain 4. Look for signs that they are full and satisfied. A short tale on the face of masculinity, portrayed by young men who grow up in inner city environments. Where the iconic ‘screwface’ is more than just an expression, it’s a matter of life and death.

The 3-minute think-piece aims to dispel the look’s reputation as a form of intimidation, and instead to help shed light on its purpose as a form of self-defence. Based on real life experiences, Abdou Cisse, who grew up in South London - gives you an insight into what it’s like growing up in a place where a young man’s masculinity is challenged and defended by a mere expression.

What do you do to chill at the weekend? One of my favourite things to do is jump on the DLR and go to Greenwich. The place is so full of history and there are so many beautiful buildings. It's just so relaxing, there's always something new to see. I also love how you can be sitting among these beautiful buildings designed by Sir Christopher Wren. It's amazing to have a UNESCO World Heritage Site on our doorstep. Here's a lovely old wooden bench outside The Painted Hall.
