A bit about Ryan At the end of 2017, Ryan Nell left a career in advertising to found Levitate Meditation - a modern drop-in meditation studio and workplace mindfulness training company. Before training to teach meditation, Ryan worked at some of the world's top advertising agencies, where he learnt his trade managing marketing campaigns for everything from chocolate to cars. While he was at it, Ryan also learnt quite a lot about stress... In a 'work hard play hard' industry where pulling all-nighters was a badge of honour, he saw too many people suffering under the pressures of the job, without the right tools or support to manage their mental health. As well as becoming a 200-hour certified meditation instructor, at the world-famous Unplug Meditation studio in LA, under the guidance of stress management expert and bestselling author Davidji, Ryan also received a scholarship in 2018 to complete the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute’s neuroscience-based mindfulness and emotional intelligence programme. Since starting meditating on a daily basis, Ryan has seen his quality of life improve hugely. He is healthier, happier, and more productive. He sleeps better at night. In fact, he feels like he has to share the wealth by teaching it to others. A bit about Levitate Levitate Meditation is a fast-growing drop-in mindfulness studio in Peckham, also offering classes at studios in Dalston, Farringdon and the workplace. Ryan will lead the group in a guided meditation while Steph works her magic on each of the participants. Having both experienced each other's teaching, Steph and Ryan decided to come together to give you a totally unique, powerfully restorative energy boost to leave you feeling revitalised, energised and blissed out. So join us on Saturday 25th May, to drop in and float out with renewed energy 😉 Where do I go? Please note that this class is in Yogarise Studio 2, which is at C-Stairs, first floor of the Bussey Building. (Save your legs and don't go up B-Stairs to Yogarise Studio 1)! What do I need? No equipment necessary, just bring yourself and some comfy clothes. We recommend layering so that you can adjust to the temperature of the studio. What time does it start? The workshop starts at 6pm sharp. Please aim to arrive at least 15 minutes before. The first 15 minutes are an opportunity to check in, find your cushions and find your calm. Unfortunately we are not often able to accommodate latecomers, as this is disruptive to other students.
