shilling for servamp again but one of the great things about it is the depiction of seven deadly sins. sure, the characters who represent the sins turn out to be the victims of said sins have been done thousands of times before BUT
the vampire of sloth died because he was falsely accused of a crime he didnt do. what's the crime? well, it's implied to be rape, but that sounds more lust than sloth, isn't it? wrong. the sloth in this scenario, or rather accurately, acedia, is the fact that the villagers knew who the real culprit was, but decided to keep quiet because they owed the culprit's parents and let the yet to be vampire of sloth volunteered to take the blame without knowing what the crime was truly about
he died because of other people's negligence to take responsibility of their deeds, and that makes him a victim of sloth
the vampire of gluttony is depicted as someone who eats a lot but how did he die? starvation, perhaps? wrong. he was a slave that was made to fight in an arena meant to mimic the Colosseum of old and he was the spectators' favorite and even the owner admitted he was the winning horse that made the money rolled in.
he gave a portion of his food to a fellow slave, a young girl whose job was to clean the champion's cage, and ended up witnessing her getting beaten up for it in the middle of a fight, distracting him and making him lose his life.
so what's the gluttony in this situation? gluttony is the sin of hoarding wealth. he was their moneymaker, their champion, but the one who had the privilege to spend what he earned was his owner. and he died because he dared to share what little meal he had to someone else who needed it just as badly as he did

i just found out about the reference for gear's last name "hativelt/hatiwelt"
so in one of the panels in the chapter 131, gear said something like:
" My name is that of the moon-eating beast."
and then he proceeds to nom the red moon tsubaki made
Tumblr media
this is a reference to Hati Hróðvitnisson, a wolf in norse mythology who chases the moon and eats it during the time of Ragnarok

I've had a theory for a while that Tsubaki had a sister when he was human, but I always assumed it was an older one tbh.
One headcanon I have for now is that while Tsubaki claims hes okay with being nothing more than a tool for Germaine a rather big part of him hopes that after reviving him and I imagine getting his sister back that they will be able to stay together as a family
Tsubaki is so wonderful to me because he, in itself, as a character, is so torn!! And this has to mean something for him in this regard too: Part of him thinks of himself as a tool, part of himself thinks he can be in control.
Part of him is filled with rage, part of him is filled with longing and lost opportunities.
I love him because he's both his rage where he forgets himself and his passive, depressed episodes he spends in hiding. (And then, sometimes, he's that space in between, the clarity where he smiles at his friends or hesitates before causing more destruction or accepts a hand offered to him)
And when his plans succeed and Germaine eventually fails him (because he will fail him, as parental figures do, one way or another) he will be torn again. In my ideal world, Tsubaki would be forced to kill the man he sacrificed so much to resurrect because he is faced with the consequences of it all.
(He wants a family and he wants to exist and he wants to be loved; AND he wants to be nothing but a tool and a sacrifice. He's both!! And he will get neither in the end, I think.)

If Lawlicht not canon why this
Tumblr media
Okay but jokes aside, I love this panel so much. For various reasons.
First of all obviously because of that look, come on, you don't look at everyone with so much love in your eyes.
But also the context! Because he's doubting. See how he skips straight back to the fact that they can't really do anything. (Notably he doesn't say this out loud though).
But those eyes? Those trusting, sincere eyes? He meant it when he said yes.
"But Lawless is an emotional crybaby, he'd probably want to be reassured in this situation too"
Lawless? Lawless "I'd rather watch the girl I love die than put my wishes over hers" of Greed? That Lawless? Nah, we all know what this is. Because it could still have been a form of reassurance, however directed at himself rather than Licht, but it's more likely that this isn't even necessary. Not because he doesn't care about Crantz, but because he doesn't doubt Licht.
This? That's not some half hearted lie to make either of them feel better. That's pure trust in his angel. Licht knows what he wants, and Lawless knows that he will get it.
Sounds familiar?
He has kept his Eves around for 200 years for the purpose of trying to avoid losing his mind (a little too late, Lawless, but I don't blame you). Remember the flashbacks with Iris? He didn't have faith in her or her decisions one bit. I mean, why would he?
And then Licht singlehandedly snapped him out of this state. Hmmm, I wonder why him, of all people?
Which leads us back to the topic of reassurance. Iris was entirely indifferent towards him, and we can assume that it was the same with all his previous Eves. Now Licht the Archangel cared about him (hate is a form of care too, Licht), and, most importantly, is not the kind of person to comfort him and take his hand. His reaction to Lawless's memories? He was helping him, and he was actively aware of it. And he didn't do it the nice way, but rather by telling him to get it together.
Which is exactly what Lawless needs.
(Excessive) reassurance and comfort are dangerous for people like him, even if it might feel nice. Lawless needs a strong, firm person to snap him back to reality. Someone like Licht.
Alright, that got out of hand. TLDR; Licht is the best thing that could have happened to Lawless and I have obsession issues.

HOW THE SERVAMPS TAKE IN SUBCLASSES MAKES ME CRY
The way that Lust, Wrath, and Melancholy choose their subclasses as if they are compensating for the sins they represent.
Snow Lily takes in the children that were abused for being the fruit of lust. He wants them to believe that love still exists in the world.
Freya takes in fallen soldiers, men and women who were sent by their leader's unreasonable wrath to senseless war. She wants them to believe in family and true comraderie.
Tsubaki takes in the people who were betrayed. My only examples were Sakuya and eyepatch guy. He wanted them to believe in complete trust and loyalty.
It makes me cry just thinking of them. 🥹😢
Pride, I don't know his criteria yet. But damn, he's such a funky little guy who takes pride in his subclasses. (When be bragged that one of his subclasses finally got a date)

Tsubaki and Lawless Sibling Headcanons
After reading that meme about what woulda happened if Lawless and Tsubaki were on good terms I had to make these headcanons
This. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought about this-  Allow me to do a small rant/analysis-
Lawless is canonically referred to as having a family root according to Gear in this panel
Tumblr media
Yall no one can change my mind Lawless got fat daddy issues that run deeper than a black hole
As shown in these panels he has a deep respect and gratitude to Saint germaine for reviving him, and even goes as far as to lecture Kuro for being "rude"
Tumblr media
I also find it interesting how of all the siblings Lawless is pretty much the only one that was happy to be revived, aside from Ildio who was more or so neutral on his new life. Lawless pretty much took his new life and appreciated his second chance-
Personally in my opinion, I believed because he was a lower-ranking prince who was killed in a conspiracy he may have never gotten a chance to live life? He looks like he died pretty young and since he was a lower ranking prince, he may have lived with a silver spoon in his mouth, but likely was never able to go out to much and was probably very lonely. He probably only had Guil by his side which is why I love and adore their father/brother dynamic 😭
SPEAKING OF BROTHER DYNAMICS- KURO I GOT A BONE TO PICK WITH YOU-
Tumblr media Tumblr media
dAWG- WHYD KURO DO HIM SO DIRTY 😭Bro straight up just lost Ophelia, is about to lose his "second father", then gets dumped by his own god damn brother- Like Kuro pretty much told him "we shouldn't have been born". Like bruh lawless got done so dirty in a span of like a week, like even after this he goes back home  Ophelia's kingdom was destroyed 💀
Tumblr media
Also he had to walk to the meeting stop for about 10 days+ and then walked back on his hedgehog stubby legs like is this man okay, IMAGINE WALKING ALL THE WAY ON FOOT AND JUST BEING DUMPED LIKE THAT- no wonder bro held such a fatass grudge against Kuro. Centuries later they meet again and  Kuro really had the audacity to be like, "why u mad at me" as if he didnt kill Saint and told Lawless they shouldn't really exist 😭
Anyways, moving onto the actual Tsubaki and Lawless siblings headcanons-
Lawless desperately wanted a family and tried seeking that through his new found Servamp siblings, but sadly none of them really wanted it aside from Ildio and Freya. Love the headcanon that Freya canonically thinks of Lawless as her "dear brother"🥺
Tsubaki later down the road looks like he craved that too? In fact it looks like he went to every sibling and tried asking them who he was and none of them knew. But what Im curious is about is this
Tumblr media
Lawless already knew about Tsubaki? When we got Lily's POV, he stated that he was visited by Tsubaki, and Tsubaki started laughing because none of his siblings knew about him. Now Im curious, because if Lawless had met Tsubaki in the past, what was it like? Did he just know of Tsubaki from C3? Given the fact that Lawless has spied on them sometimes when he was bored, is that how he found it? But I have a weak heart, so lets make some headcanons on had they met earlier and actually became close.
In a perfect world, Id had pictured Lawless helped Tsubaki escape from C3 and they both became close since both craved familial love. Its been revealed that Tsubaki is trying to protect his little sister so for sure, bros in the same boat as Lawless trying to make found family
There was also an old book called, "The Hedgehog and the Fox" where a quote is stated, "The fox knows many things, but the hedgehog knows one big thing." Reference: https://www.jimcarrollsblog.com/blog/2018/5/23/are-you-a-hedgehog-or-a-fox#:~:text='The%20fox%20knows%20many%20things,various%20wiles%20of%20the%20fox.
I like to think this very similar to Lawless and Tsubaki. Tsubaki, is likely one of the strongest siblings and can clap cheeks instantly. He has many skills and is canonically the only one that can "kill" his siblings, but Lawless is older, so I believe the "the hedgehog knows one big thing" is really cute, but it feeds into the dynamic that, yes although Tsubaki is superior to Lawless in terms of power, he has a lot more to learn.
Considering Tsubaki was locked up in C3 for a while I would like to think Lawless took him out and immediately tried getting him situated in the modern era. Thats my perspective on "hedgehog knows one big thing" like imagine being locked up and experimented for ages, and finally being introduced the modern day, like when was the last time Tsubaki saw the sun 💀
I also headcanon Lawless is probably pretty well off considering hes greed and judging from the fact hes constantly wearing rings and bracelets like I doubt those are fake, and he literally shops at Shibuya. Lawless is canonically a bougie bitch 💀
Please give me cute shopping montage of Lawless dripping out Tsubaki in modern Japanese styled clothing LIKE I WANNA SEE HIM WEARING THIS
Tumblr media
Anyways thats all I have for now, but TLDR: I love servamp sibling interactions, strike please stop depriving us

Do you mind if I ask your top 10 favorite characters (can be male or female) from all of the media that you loved (can be anime/manga, books, movies or tv series)? And why do you love them? Sorry if you've answered this question before.....Thanks...
Hi! First of all, thank you for asking me this question, I'm really glad! ^^ (and no, no one had ever asked me this before ahah).
So....mhm...I have to say it's really HARD to choose, because I'm into a lot, really, A LOT, of stuff lol. But I'll try to choose among the riffraff the most iconic ones... despite that, I think it's really impossible for me to rank from 1 to 10 in the ascending (or descending) sense of the term, so please don't consider the characters I'm going to list as places within a ranking ahaha 🙊
Xerxes Break (Pandora Hearts, manga by Jun Mochizuki): Break is a wonderful character. His attitudes may make him seem like a superficial, clownish person, but he’s actually an extremely troubled man with very solid moral values, ready to do anything for those he loves. Break is a character I really can't help but love, I won't go more into his analysis because I want to avoid spoilers, but he’s such a troubled and controversial character, I really love him with all my heart. He needs to be protected adjkhgal.
Tumblr media
Vanitas (Vanitas no Carte, manga by Jun Mochizuki): as I said for Break, Vanitas is also an extremely controversial character. Sarcastic, witty, extremely sensual, and defiant, he apparently gives the impression that he’s the kind of person who only exploits others for his own purposes, but this is actually not the case. Vanitas has suffered so much in the past, he creates on purpose a wall around himself to avoid making connections that could hurt him again someday, or hurt those around him. He’s more aware of what is happening around him than he wants to give it away.
Tumblr media
Dice Arisugawa (Hypnosis Mic, multimedia project): I LOVE Dice. There’s a reason why he’s my favorite character in the Hm universe lol. He's that kind of person who's silly and funny, but would do ANYTHING for the sake of the people he loves. Loyal and sincere, he loves to take risks (way too much, I’d say) but he can also be serious and reliable if the situation calls for it. In addition, his rapping skills are SUBLIME.
Tumblr media
Toma Hikage (Paradox Live, multimedia project): Toma is a character who has very recently entered my heart. Initially I thought he was the typical vain pretty boy, but I found out quite soon that there's actually a very deep motivation behind this such a seemingly frivolous behavior. Toma is a person with a heart of gold, ready to do anything to support the other members of VISTY. Also, I can't help but love that so special way he accentuates sentences ahaha. Also I love his voice in the songs, it's really pure and melodic! **
Tumblr media
Rin Matsuoka (Free!, anime): Rin is cool and has style, no doubt about this.  But beyond physical appearance, he's a guy who knows what he wants, fights and works hard till the end to achieve his goals. You can always rely on him. If you need help, you can be sure that Rin will be there for you to help, always. Despite the big muscle mass, Rin is a big softie and does not hesitate to dissolve into tears quite easily too, he is adorable ahah
Tumblr media
Tsurugi Kamiya (Servamp, manga by Tanaka Strike): I have to admit that I couldn't stand Tsurugi at first, but the deeper I got into his story, the more I fell in love with him. Tsurugi made me cry more than once while reading. He comes across as a very strong character, but internally he's an extremely fragile person. I want to hug him ;^;
Tumblr media
Gojo Satoru (Jujutsu Kaisen, by Gege Akutami): you can't help but love Gojo: I won't dwell on his physical appearance (as his charm is there for all to see), Gojo is a man who is apparently very superficial, with a very sharp tongue and always with a ready wit, but again this is only a facade: Gojo is extremely witty, as well as being damn strong. Everyone relies on him. Never make Gojo angry.
Tumblr media
Osamu Dazai (Bungo Stray Dogs, manga by Kafka Asagiri & Sango Harukawa): what I've already said about Gojo applies somewhat to Dazai. It's impossible not to love Dazai. He's the perfect combination of seriousness and deficiency, if you need to break the heaviness of the moment, count on Dazai. If you need reinforcement, count on Dazai. If you need someone to properly blow up your nerves, count on Dazai.
Tumblr media
Percy Jackson (Percy Jackson & The Olympians, book series by Rick Riordan): most of my peers grew up with Harry Potter. Well, I grew up with Percy. Thanks to him, over the course of many years and MANY books, I’ve been able to immerse myself in a wonderful world, a world, that of Greek mythology, which has always fascinated me so much. I really owe a lot to Percy.
Ophelia (The Mirror Visitor, book series by Christelle  Dabos): Ophelia is also a recent addition. I finished reading the second book of the series just yesterday and I must say that I haven't met such a valid character for a long time. Ophelia is that kind of girl that, at first glance, you wouldn't value at all: scruffy, petite, "anonymous". In reality, she's a girl who really goes through all sorts of things, both to assert herself and to protect those she loves. Although fragile, contrary to what everyone might think, she's endowed with an iron will, a strong personality and also great courage, but it's not a snooty courage, as often happens to be seen in fictional characters, but it's a courage that she was forced to build, sometimes even against her own instincts to run away. I really admire her for that.
So... If it wasn't clear, I like very controversial and complicated characters LOL
I hope you found my answers somewhat interesting and thanks again for asking! ^^

Here’s my in-depth analysis regarding Licht’s Nintendo DS
With proper evidence and analysis, I have a theory….. and I spent time fact-checking this analysis (since I originally I figured this out a couple of months back). My findings tell me that Licht’s Nintendo DS is a Nintendo DSi.
For reference, here is what Licht’s DS looks like:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In order to narrow down our answers, first we have to figure out: which ones were already released during the events of Servamp?
From what I can best guess, the events of the C3 arc and everything up until chapter 118 takes place in August of 2012? From what I know, Servamp (or at least the Japanese release of it) was originally released in November of 2011, and the main story’s technology seemed to line up with the technology present in real life at the time. For the most part, it’s easy to find details that point out the date or present spot on the calendar while reading but…. with years, not so much. Also, I can’t find very much on how much of a time skip there was before or after volume 4. However, I do know that on August 31st, 2012, there actually was a full moon, just like what is supposed to happen in the manga (mentioned in chapter 100 I believe, where Tsurugi was discussing with Mahiru some information he learned from Touma). Going with this information, I will be using the estimate for the current events of the manga, which will help us narrow down what generations of Nintendo DS were released before late August 2012.
Here are the ones that I could find that fit in the time frame:
Nintendo DS (November 2004)
Tumblr media
Nintendo DS Lite (June 2006)
Tumblr media
Nintendo DSi (November 2008)
Tumblr media
Nintendo DSi XL (November 2009)
Tumblr media
Nintendo 3DS (March 2011)
Tumblr media
Nintendo 3DS XL (July 2012)
Tumblr media
Now what I did next with this was analyze the shape of each of these DS models and eliminate any of them without the rectangular shape of Licht’s DS. Due to their far rounder edges and overall thicknesses, I eliminated the Nintendo DS and the Nintendo 3DS XL as a possibility. Now, that leaves us with the Nintendo DSLite, Nintendo DSi, Nintendo DSi XL, and the Nintendo 3DS.
Here is where I thought I reached a crossroad. I thought to myself, “What else is there? What else can I use to differentiate them?”
And then, in a moment of astute observance, I had a realization. I could investigate the volume control.
Right off the bat, I knew I could eliminate the Nintendo DSLite. That is due to the fact that the volume control on Licht’s DS is a set of two buttons, placed on the left side of the DS. On the Nintendo DSLite, however, the volume control is a slider on the bottom of the device. Also, I was able to eliminate the Nintendo 3DS, because although its volume control is on the side of the device, it comes in the form of a slider.
Now, I’m left with the Nintendo DSi and the Nintendo DSi XL. From what I found, the main difference between the two is the size of the screen. Considering that I found that Licht’s DS is drawn with a notably smaller screen, I don’t think that is could have been the XL version.
And now…. that means we’ve finally reached the last possible option. The only DS that could have fit the requirements by the date and the DS features…. is the DSi model. Therefore, I believe that Licht Jekylland Todoroki’s Nintendo DS model is the Nintendo DSi.
Do with this what you will and thank you for reading through my absolutely bonkers analysis/theory/headcanon/ramble

Good day, dear Lost!~ Nice to meet you! ^*^ I really like your blog and I'm happy that you write Servamp things! I like this fandom and feel sad that it's kinda unpopular. Do you like Servamp too? What is your favourite character?~ Tell me please, are requests open now?
Hey! Yes! I got into it about a year ago but I have only gotten into a few of the volumes so I'm not too far into it, I'm very slow when it comes to that lol. So if you do request any servamp characters just know it may be SUPER OOC as I'm really bad at character analysis. My favorite characters have to be the sloth pair, the greed pair, and the envy pair. They are all so interestingly written with so much left to be said about their origins and why they act like they do with or without their eves and.I.LOVE.IT
I am very upset it's not as popular, I find it to be so interesting as a story that I'm sure if people just watched it now then I GUARANTEE that so many people would love it, it came out before it was in it's time 😔
Yes! My requests are open at any time unless I otherwise state but if that occurs I would make it clear! I have a list of fandoms I'm in if you wish to request something!

LMAO so that’s why Shamrock is the Devil Arcana!
Further context: I’m looking into whether there’s more connections for the known arcana of characters to help me assign further Arcana to C3 connected characters, and boy are there
MOST C3 characters with Major Arcana officially assigned to them have the relation inside their names
Jun, Yumi, Tsurugi, Shuuhei, and Touma instantly come to mind (The bolded characters are the relevant ones)
Kurumamori Junichiro, the Chariot: 車守盾一郎 with 車 meaning "car" (listen, it counts, okay. Chariots are just ancient sports cars)
Tsukimitsu Yumikage, the Moon: 月満弓景 with 月 meaning "moon"
Kamiya Tsurugi, the Hanged Man: 狼谷吊戯 with 吊 meaning "hang" (notably, this is also the kanji you'd use when talking about wearing a sword. Clever!)
Tsuyuki Shuuhei, the Hierophant: 露木修平 with 修 meaning "discipline" or "study" (I'm going to explain this one a little since it's not as direct. The Hierophant arcana is one which represents wisdom, traditional values, and guidance, and is characterized by a "mentor" or "teacher" figure)
Touma Taishi, the Tower: 塔間泰士 with 塔 meaning "tower"
Iduna is an outlier whose Arcana, the Star, doesn't appear to have any relation to her name, so I started to wonder what set her apart? And, of course, it's because she's an Eve! Realizing that allowed me to extrapolate likely arcana for some of the other Eves based off of what part of her character is star inspired: her combi with Freya
She draws the constellation Cassiopeia in the air, along with the Nighthawk’s falling star, in order to summon swords of light for her Servamp to fight with since Freya has no weapon of her own, right?
If it’s related to her attack, then, Mikuni would be the Justice, representing equality, fairness, and balance when upright, and when reversed unfairness (duh), lack of accountability (oof), and dishonesty (sounds about right). I think this suits Mikuni's character pretty well, don't you?
For Licht, the Temperance. When using his combi "Phantom of the Opera" with Lawless, Lawless proclaims for Licht to "Sing, my angel of music!" The Temperance arcana is illustrated with an angel as the focus of the card. When upright, it signifies prudence, harmony, and the merging of opposites. When reversed, it indicates excess, a need for self healing, and even a kick in the pants. Pretty perfect for our Greed pair, right?
Now, for Misono, there's only one Arcana that can suit him as needed, and hot take! It's not the Lovers (and the Lovers doesn't represent Lily, either, for reasons I will explain) It's Death! The Death arcana, while possessing a scary name, isn't really a scary card to draw at all. Well. In the grand scheme of things. Ultimately, the Death arcana represents an oncoming major change in life, regeneration, and the start of something new. It can be a shock to the system, but in the end, no matter the outcome, whether upright or reversed the Death arcana is good! Stagnation is spiritual death after all, and change leads to growth. Misono and Lily needed that big wake up and shake up the Death arcana provided for them more than any other pair!
Okay so, now for why I said the Lovers doesn't represent Lily. At first, I also thought Lovers for Lily, and Empress for Freya. However... While the Lovers does embody Lily's relevant character struggles, and the Empress does suit Freya, the Mother... They and another character knock the formula I've been seeing out of whack.
The formula goes like this. The characters with Arcana must be directly affiliated with C3 in some way. Failing that, they must be Eves. If they are affiliated with C3, their Arcana must be tied to their name if they are human.
Which brings me to Shamrock, the guy who threw a big ol wrench into everything. Neither of his names allude to the Devil. But you know what does? His attack, Die Verwandlung
And, furthermore, his literary motif, the Nighthawk Star
When he’s consumed by his wrath, the giant bird appears devilish in nature, BUT, there’s also a genus of nighthawk called the “Satanic Nightjar”
You see where I'm going with this? :3
To finish up, by removing Freya and Lily from the running and considering their Arcana to be tied to their Eve's journey as Servamp pairs are, ultimately, two characters with the same end destination by the very nature of the contract functioning like a marriage, this allowed me to place two more characters, including a rather recent one.
Mikado and Shirayuki.
Mikado represents the Emperor Arcana. While the Kanji in Mikado's name does not directly allude to this, the most common way for his name to be written is 帝, literally "emperor." The emperor represents control, stability, protection, and leadership, but reversed, means abused authoritative power and rigid thinking. For stubborn hovercopter parent Mikado, there's no Arcana that fits better! Fittingly, someone who draws the Emperor arcana can often learn a thing or two from our next character, the Empress
As for Shirayuki, her name is also the way a Japanese person would refer to Snow White. This, while kiiiind of a stretch, qualifies her for the Empress arcana, since at the end of the story, Snow White lives happily ever after after killing the evil queen, right?? |D And she IS a mother, sooo... She fits the Empress Arcana's maternal energies and symbolism, along with the connotations of creativity, abundance, and fertility. I mean, lady's got three kids that we know of AND she's the previous former Branch Manager of Tokyo C3. Statistically speaking, she would have been running Tokyo branch while lil baby Yumi was still on her hip. You gotta have some brass ones and a hell of a lot of brains to manage THAT.
Anyway, phew, that was a lot! Thanks for reading, and lemme know what y'all think! :D

since gluttony arc pretty much confirmed that a servamp's weapon is what killed them, even though Ildio's weapon is pretty straightforward, he and Lawless might be the only one whose weapons are literally what killed them
the most obvious example is Kuro, when we first saw it, it manifested as three claws on his hand, representing the three prongs of candelabra that killed him
Tumblr media
we also have a coffin for Hugh who died of old age, and pretty sure there is no way a farmer's scythe was not what actually killed lily
so it's safe to say that a servamp's weapon can be as conceptual as an eve's Lead
Freya's weapon is a shield, if you take it literally then you can only really think of a shield bashing her, right? but what if it's symbolic? she died protecting someone else from something, and that tragedy manifests as a shield. Since flame is also her demon's power, I can easily imagine her taking the blame for someone else accused of witchcraft

I've noticed (after re-reading some chapters) that the special side effect on the Eve after being separated from their Servamp for 18 hours seem to mirror the Servamp's own suffering.
Tumblr media
For instance, Mahiru turning into an animal could've stemmed from Kuro's fear of losing control of his demon, turning into a beast and no longer looking like or being a human.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Nico losing his voice reflects on how Ildio has been bottling up all his sorrow, doubts, and regrets and (as Nico puts it) making him unable to breathe or speak.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
so from that detail, can y'all try to come up with the possible special side effects of the other Eves (cuz i've got nothing lol)

WHAT THE FUCK IS JINN?!
As Mahiru once said, "EXPLAIN IT TO ME, AND SAY IT SIMPLY!"
What I understood for sure is that Servamps have jinn and when they're killed, a mass of jinn explodes into the world. BUT WHAT THE FUCK IS JINN ACTUALLY?!
The most recent explanation I remember is Touma's.
Tumblr media
But listen. We, witches, call spiritual energy ONLY the energy that comes from Spirits, not the Spirit itself. We call spiritual energy the energy they give to us when we do spells or need to channel other spirits. We call spiritual energy the residual energy left in the rooms, homes and places all around the world.
So ok, Touma says that's needed to unite the demon and the servamp, and somehow I guess it makes sense.
BUT THEN
I remembered that Kuro also talked about jinn to Mahiru, and he told him this fucking thing
Tumblr media
"They're underclass creatures". Fine, ok, so like a lower class of spirit, I get it. So not spiritual energy?!
AND THEN IN THE SAME FUCKING CHAPTER, HUGH SAYS FUCKING THIS
Tumblr media
"Vampires turn into jinn when they die."
Sooo... I guess this is more about subclasses instead of servamps, because in the same chapter or the other, we have Belkia saying that thing about jinn coming out of servamps when they're killed.
BUT then vampires turn into underclass creatures? And humans? Didn't I-don't-remember-who said that lives are sacrificed to create a servamp?!
And that's not all. Because remember that professor Inner Kuro also talked about jinn? He said first this –
Tumblr media
*CRIES IN MY HEAD HURTS*
So they're... spiritual energy and together they're underclass creatures?! NANI?!?!
Also "used to materialize one's mind" makes me think of meditation, in the sense that that too is kind of a world that our Spirit Guides make for us using their and our spiritual energy.
But that's a talk for another time because Inner Kuro also said THIS
Tumblr media
So a vampire is "jinn which bonded together and took the form of a person."
EXCUSE ME BABY WHAT THE FUCK
WASN'T THAT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN WHEN VAMPIRES DIE?! THEY REBORN?! REINCARNATE?!
AND IF THEY TAKE THE FORM OF A PERSON THEN WHO ACTUALLY IS THAT PERSON?! A LIVING CORPSE?!
WHAT THE FUCK IS JINN?!

The Colors of Melancholy: Foreshadowing Sakuya’s Betrayal
Strike, you really thought you could get color symbolism past me of all demons? Ha HA! I think not!
To start this off, let’s talk about the color wheel. A lot of us here are artists and therefore inherently familiar with the concept of complimentary and analogous colors, blah blah blah, but just in case you’re not familiar, here’s a standard color wheel:
Tumblr media
Got it? Great. When we talk about complimentary colors, that refers to colors that are directly opposite of each other on this color wheel. Why all this talk about color on a post about Servamp? Well, because Strike has been using color from the very beginning to tell us that Sakuya would eventually switch sides and leave Tsubaki. How you may ask?
Well, let’s take a look at Tsubaki’s design.
Tumblr media
He has a very obvious color scheme of black, white and red. Since black and white technically aren’t considered actual colors, we’re going to focus on the red. Now, take a look at all of his top subclass and tell me if you notice anything.

That’s right. All of their outfits are either also red or analogous, or next to, red on the color wheel. And even the ones who aren’t screaming red like Belkia with his pink and Otogiri with her light lavender have some red in their outfits. Belkia has a red hair tie and glasses, and Otogiri has that cute red flower pin on her head.
Oh but wait! There’s someone missing, isn’t there...?
That’s right. Our favorite rebellious teenage vampire son, Sakuya. Let’s take a gander at his design, shall we?
Tumblr media
Not only does he have no red in his outfit at all (his eyes don’t count because all vampires have red eyes in this series), his design features a lot of green, the color opposite to red on the color wheel.
Though Sakuya’s overall attitude toward Tsubaki and his attachment to Mahiru was already a guarantee that he would eventually switch sides, Strike was also giving us a neon sign through the colors of their characters.

Sometimes friends are like: “So why do you like Servamp so much? I mean, it’s not a bad show, and I liked it when I watched it, but it didn’t really seem like anything special? Is the manga really that good?”
And I just stand there as hundreds of fan theory posts flash before my eyes, posts connecting characters to long dead myths, spanning mythos. Posts calling out parallels and foreshadowing, highlighting subtle art direction and criticising character design and I just.
I just say “Yeah.”
