Snow Holiday

A/N: The recent posts of the 5SOS Squad in the snow made me SOFT AS HELL!!! So naturally, I wrote about it.

And away, and away we go!

“Oh, damn this is so cool, Y/N!” Luke marveled as you all stepped into the cabin.

“Here, I’ll show you guys your rooms,” you smiled, proud that you were the one with it all for once.

“Dibs on master!” Mike said, racing down the hall.

“Mike, you will sleep outside if you think you’re taking mine and Ash’s room,” you growled, chasing after him.

The room debacle was quickly sorted out with all of the couples all getting a room, and single Calum regulated to the Murphy bed in the living room- “It’s comfy, I promise. And you can use mine and Ash’s bathroom,” you had told him while he fake pouted. Now, you were all in the living room, debating the next move.

The boys were ready to head out and play. The girls were eyeing the hot tub on the patio. “Alright!” you yelled, waving your arms to get their attention. “Here’s the plan of attack- unpack the groceries, get changed and have a blast in the snow, dinner, then hot tub.”

Ash wrapped his arms around you. “Good idea, love. We’ll get them in the hot tub and have the real tub all to ourselves,” he murmured low enough so only you could hear.

Your cheeks flushed brightly. The master bathroom had its own jet tub and you’d be lying if you said you hadn’t been thinking the exact same thing.

“Alright!” Ashton clapped, a smile on his lips at your reaction to his words. “You heard her. Groceries!”

The boys mock-saluted you and Ashton before disappearing into the cold to get the bags from the cars. “Gorgeous, this is amazing. You have places like this all over?” Ashton asked once it was just you and him, the girls having followed the boys to help.

You nodded. “Yeah. Well, they’re my dad’s timeshares, but yeah. Simple perks of having divorced parents.”

He frowned, “Aw babe…”

“It was a joke!” you laughed. “My parents split when I was super little, Ash. Mom got primary custody of my brother and me. Dad kept the timeshares and saw us on the weekends.”

“That’s rough…”

“Ash… I know dad-dynamics are a little out of your wheelhouse. But, I promise you, I have no ill-feelings towards either of my parents.”

“Alright,” he said, skeptically.

“Just appreciate the gift that is me having my dad wrapped around my finger,” you said, throwing your arms wide and twirling in a circle.

“He’s not the only one wrapped around your finger,” he grinned.

“That’s why I got ten of ‘em,” you laughed wildly, waggling your fingers at him.

He just continued to grin at you. God, he loved that you were so full of life.

“Ashton!” you screeched as a snowball rolled down the collar of your shirt. You quickly untucked your shirt from your snow pants and reached up, your gloved hands pulling the snowball out. The water was cold against your spine. “Jerk,” you laughed, jumping up a bit to smack the snowball into his face.

The strangled scream he let out made you laugh more. “Damn, that’s cold!” he said, hurriedly brushing the snow from his face.

“Yeah, I know!” you shot back, before busying yourself tucking your shirt back in your pants to keep the cold from seeping into your skin.

“I had to, gorgeous. Them’s the rules,” he grinned at you with a shrug.

“Get it, Si!” Crystal was cheering from nearby.

“That’s my girlfriend!” Luke screamed at the top of his lungs, his blue eyes wide with amazement.

You and Ashton glanced over at the commotion- Sierra, rocking nothing but a bikini, beanie, and shoes, posing while Crystal and Luke snapped photos and cheered her on. “Cause of global warming: Sierra Deaton!” Calum said, hands cupping his mouth like a megaphone.

“Ski season has been canceled!” Mike joined in with Calum. “The snow has MELTED!”

“Get it QUEEN!” you whooped, running over to join in the fun, dragging Ashton along.

“Does it sound good?!” Ashton asked, his voice ringing out around you.

“Yeah!” you answered, immediately getting the joke he was going for.

“Does it feel good?!” his voice bellowed.

“Yeah!” you all yelled back it response, laughing at the memory of the old video from the Sounds Good, Feels Good days.

“Snow angels!” you decided, before dropping to the ground, moving your legs and arms to make an impression in the snow.

“Snow angels!” everyone agreed, following your lead.

“My snow angel,” Ashton grinned over at you, his hand reaching out to hold yours.

You burst out laughing, cheeks flushed with both the cold and cheesiness of his words. “Irwin, that was cheesy, even for you,” you told him. God, he looked so good, lying in the snow, his red hair a dark contrast to the white snow behind him. You got up suddenly, needing this picture of him.

“What are you doing?” he asked, sitting up.

“Shh, lay back down,” you waved your hand at him, pulling off your gloves so you could use your phone.

“Babe, put your gloves back on,” Ashton ordered.

“Would you quit?” you responded. “Just lay down.” He huffed, but did as he was told. “Say cheese!” you prompted, clicking your phone rapidly to take a series of shots.

“Would you put your gloves back on now?” Ashton asked, as you stood there, looking at the pictures.

“Alright, alright,” you huffed, pocketing your phone and putting your gloves back on. “Better?” you asked, once you were lying back down with him.

He just pulled you closer to him in response. “My turn,” he said, peeling off his own gloves and getting his phone. He pressed a kiss against your cheek, holding his phone high above the two of you, hitting the button repeatedly as you both kissed each other and made silly faces before erupting into a fit of giggles. “This trip is amazing, Y/N,” he murmured, after your photo session. “You’re amazing.”

“What a day!” Mike sighed, sinking deep into the water of the hot tub.

“And it’s only day 1,” your smirked from your spot on Ashton’s lap.

“Lu, what are you doing?” Ashton giggled over your head.

You all looked over at the tall man who was slicking his blonde curls back while Sierra snapped photos on her phone. “Being hot tub sexy,” he smirked, moving around to get better angles. His face contorted in pain as the water sloshed around. “Son of a-!” he yelled, laughing through the pain. “I hit my knee…” he whimpered.

“Oh, please tell me you got that, Si,” Crystal begged, looking over the other girl’s shoulder to peer at the phone. “Success!”

“Delete it,” Luke rushed, walking through the water to grab the phone. “Delete it, Si. I’m serious.”

“Nuh-uh, not a chance, bubs,” Sierra grinned, holding her hand up high.

“Si,” you giggled at her attempt to keep the phone from Luke. “He’s 6’4”...”

“I’m 6’2”!”

“Oh, c’mon, Lu. You look good, mate,” Calum grinned, taking the phone from Sierra and climbing out of the tub with it to keep it away from Luke.

“Cal, c’mon, mate…” Luke begged.

“Admit you’re 6’4” and I’ll consider it.”

“I’m 6’2” dammit!”

“Today was amazing, love,” Ashton whispered as he pulled you closer in bed.

“I don’t think I can feel my fingers,” you said, wiggling your cold fingers.

“I told you to leave your gloves on,” he scolded lightly, grabbing your hands and blowing into them to warm them up for you.

“Nothing a hot chocolate can’t fix?”

He smiled, taking the hint. “Alright, let’s go.” With his hands still holding your, he lead you out of the room and towards the kitchen.

“Whatcha upto?” Calum asked as Ashton and you rummaged through the kitchen, grabbing the milk, a tea kettle, and the hot chocolate packets.

“Cocoa time!” you grinned up at the tall dark man.

“Cocoa? Make me a cup, yeah?” Mike asked from where he was playing videogames with Luke.

“Ooo, us too!” Crystal and Sierra said.

“Only if you shut off the game and put on a movie, Mikey,” Ashton ordered, already switching out the tea kettle for a small pot to hold all the milk he would need for seven cups of cocoa.

“Alright, Dad,” Mike scoffed, causing you to giggle and Ashton’s face to flush in embarrassment.

In the living room, everyone fought over what movie to put on while you poured the packets of chocolate into the milk warming up on the stove. You started humming a song, dancing a little to the tune only you could hear, stirring the mix to blend in with the milk. You twirled to see Ashton, leaning against the counter, a smirk on his face. “What?” you asked, immediately stopping, face flushing, having forgotten he was in the kitchen with you.

He held out his hand for you to grab. “Dance with me.”

You giggled and let him pull him towards you, swaying you back and forth. You leaned your head against his chest, eyes closing in contentment.

The sound of a camera clicking off made you both jump apart. “You guys are so cute it’s gross,” Calum grinned, showing you the picture he had taken.

“See what happens when you don’t give up on love, mate?” Ashton asked his friend, resting his head on top of yours.

Calum rolled his eyes playfully. “Just keep dancing, mate.”

“Gladly,” was the response before Ashton was twirling you in a slow circle.

“Have I told you lately how amazing this is?” Ashton murmured, once you were all curled up on the couches, watching a movie and sipping your drinks.

“You have,” you smiled at him over the top of your cup, taking a deep drink. “But, you haven't said how much you love me.”

“I haven’t?” he asked, concern crossing his face. How had it slipped his mind to not remind you.

“Nope. You gave a shake of your head. “Lots of ‘this is is amazing’ and ‘you’re amazing,’ but not a single ‘love you.’ You’re really slacking today, Irwin,” you teased.

He pulled you even closer than you already were, a feat you would have thought impossible until this second. “Well, I do love you. So fuckin much, gorgeous. This is the best holiday I’ve ever had with the best girl I’ve ever loved.”

“Keep on loving me and there will be plenty more holidays just like this one,” you promised, reaching up to kiss him.

“Always, gorgeous, always.”
