Envy/Red
It’s my very first @sins-week and I have a few ficlets written up to share 🥹
Opening the week with some InuKag. I love them.
Spice level: 🌶🌶
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Golden eyes narrowed at bright, warm red, clawed fingers twitching with want to grab and rip and squeeze.
The barrier to his desires was finally gone, they day winding down as work was done and dinner was eaten and baths were had.
And now he had nothing to do but watch his fire rat caress soft, fragrant skin he’d been thinking of all day.
Kagome always wore his coat after her bath, claiming it was closer to the types of robes she used to wear after bathing back home in the future, and of course he didn’t mind.
She looked beautiful clad only in clean skin and crimson cloth, and then the fabric smelled like her all the time wherever he went.
The problem this time, was he’d been gone for the better part of a week on an extermination job, and then she’d been so busy since he returned that they hadn’t had time to even talk much less do anything else.
Dammit, he missed her.
He stood in one fluid motion, and she immediately looked up at him, her comb pulled halfway through her hair as she brushed it by the fire.
“Inuyasha? Is something wrong?” She asked, her brows drawing down with concern as she no doubt noticed his frown.
He crossed the floor of their hut saying a silent prayer of thanks that it wasn’t overly large.
He was at her side in an instant.
“Yep. Something’s very wrong.” He answered, grabbing her hand and yanking her forward.
“Inuyasha?” Her voice wavered between concern and alarm, her heart fluttering in her chest as her scent threaded with nervousness and the citrusy tang of arousal.
His eyes trailed down from her face to her chest, and he could just see the inner swells of her breasts in the space where his robe parted.
He followed the line of her visible flesh down, and the further his eyes fell, the shallower her breath became.
“Inuyasha….” She whispered, and her voice was thick with a desire, with want, the same concoction of emotion he’d been bottling up for days waiting for the right moment to finally pounce.
He slipped his hands under the fire rat where it draped over her shoulders and then pushed it away. She allowed it to fall to the floor at her feet, and he gulped as every inch of her, lit warmly by the fire flickering nearby, was finally free to his hungry gaze.
He stepped closer, the air between them swirling hot, supercharged and tingling around them like a gathering storm.
She was beautiful, and she was blushing so prettily, her grey-blue eyes clouding with lust as he gripped her hips and pulled her against him, kicking his fire rat out of the way, tired of it and the obstacle it had been between him and his wife, the one he’d been so desperately craving since almost the moment he’d left over a week ago.
“How’s it fair that I’m naked and you aren’t?” She asked, and he bent to scoop her up and carry her to bed.
“This ain’t about fair, Kagome.” He growled, laying her down and crawling over her, leaning in to hover just over the most sensitive part of her neck and shoulders. “This ain’t about fair at all.”
He descended and she gasped, head falling back and hands gripping, grasping for a lifeline.
His blood surged as desire dark and hot coursed through his veins and set them both aflame.
He’d waited long enough, staring in envy at the heavy cloth that got to touch her where he couldn’t, it was time to finally taste her again.

Purple/Pride
Hello again! It's sins-month-quarter-week! This is Inuyasha and Sango friendship in PURPLE/PRIDE for @arisukingdom 💜💜💜
This story exists in my not-technically-launched-but-I'm-slowly-adding-stories-to-it post-canon concept which I am officially calling "From The Ground Up".
--
In which the newly reunited group begins their herculean task: rebuilding the slayer village.
In their three years staying in Musashi, Sango had told Inuyasha thousands of stories about her village and her people. As far as he knew, he was the only one she ever confided in regarding her desire to rebuild the village and start training new slayers in the old tradition. But it wasn't until Kagome came back to them that they finally made a plan. Bags were packed, seeds were purchased, and as soon as the first spring morning rose the Inutachi got to work.
It was a hell of a learning experience for Inuyasha; not only because he had no idea how to build a house, but because he'd never seen someone be so proud and yet so…not a raging, murderous asshole. Sango practically glowed as she treated the swelling purple bruises on her hands from minor carpentry accidents. She had those hands in every aspect of the project from designing the layout of the new buildings to the crops to the training schedule to a recruitment plan.
This wasn't just her inheritance or her legacy.
This was her home.
This was her family.
Anytime he'd come across that before it was high-and-mightys being oh so willing to spill other people's blood to bolster and defend those inherited lands or titles or swords.
But not Sango. She was building from the ground up, with pride and dignity and honor – and there was enough to go around. Each day their little community grew, and there was no posturing, no battling, no belittling to build herself up. Just one more bedroll added to the collection and one more name written in the village register.

Back with new chapters for 2022 @sins-week! This year, the sins have colors! See if you can spot them in my chapters.
I won’t be posting on time for every day this week. Case in point, this is Sunday’s theme on Monday. I tried, but I got a lot going on. For those of you not in the know, I’m expecting a new Shnugg in October. I’m almost done but the newest pregnancy symptom is swelling in my feet, hands, wrists, ankles, and up my arms and legs. This isn’t a big deal except I have carpel tunnel in my right arm that hasn’t bothered me FOR YEARS until now! So, every now and then (like with sleeping, writing, or reading), my hands go numb. It’s a fun experience let me tell you... So I’m getting things done as fast as I can and hoping I can get enough done beforehand to schedule things (on Patreon and Amazon).
I hope you all enjoy! Have a great day!!!
Keep reading below the cut or head to FANFICTION or AO3 for the update!!!

We had a picnic in bed. I wore Inuyasha’s shirt, and he wore briefs; that was the dress code for our meals. He watched me with a glint in his eyes since I woke up in his arms, making me squirm. It wasn’t until I finished the melon bread and apple soda that he jumped me. His shirt remained on me, pushed out of the way just like his briefs as he slammed into me. His thrusts were needy like we hadn’t made love a few hours ago twice. He was proving what he said earlier; he would never calm down when it came to me.
I was finishing up, calling out Inuyasha’s name while he continued to pound me, coming a few strokes after me, when the hotel phone rang. Only two people had the number and knew we were there; Miroku and the Priest. Inuyasha was still on top and inside me when he grabbed the receiver and awkwardly held it to his ear.
“Yeah?” When he twitched, I had to assume it was the priest since I imagined Miroku wouldn’t have Inuyasha’s cock dancing inside me. “We’ll be right there. And Priest…you can perform a marriage too, right?”
I didn’t hear the answer, but the way Inuyasha smirked down at me, I was pretty sure it was the answer he wanted.
We dressed quickly, and Inuyasha stopped me just short of the door to kiss me hard one last time. With the door behind me, I twisted into him to get as much of him as I could. My ragged breath met his lips when he pulled away an inch to speak. “This time tomorrow, I’ll be a free man.”
I giggled, “no, you won’t; you’ll be married.”
“Keh, marrying you, Kagome, is a privilege, not a punishment.”
I grabbed his collar, twisting it in my fist, “I’ll remind you that you said that later.”
“I won’t forget. Let’s go; our future ain’t gonna wait forever, baby.”
We walked hand in hand up the steps since Inuyasha wanted to carry me. Not that I minded holding his hand; I just didn’t want to be carried again. He could do that later; now, I wanted to get his curse removed. I had a pit in my stomach that made fear rush through my bones. I didn’t know what, but something wasn’t right.
Nothing seemed out of place. Suikostu was there, in robes with a few others beside him. The two young men at his sides looked like kids, but their eyes held the wisdom of someone older than me.
We left the setting sun behind us, Inuyasha fidgeting with nervousness. I smirked to hide my own nerves. “Having second thoughts?”
Inuyasha stared at me for a moment, then grinned, “I told ya, never. I’m worried cause tonight is a new moon—my first one since the curse. I’m not sure…how I’ll feel. It’s been a while since I’ve been so weak.”
I cupped his cheeks, “I’ll be with you. It’ll be fine.”
He grabbed my elbows, “you’re right.”
Then he kissed me, the sweetness of it making my legs shake. Someone cleared their throat, and we popped apart. “Come here, Inuyasha.”
Suikostu and his priests were ready, the room filled with white candles burning. They were the only light as the door slowly shut behind us, and Inuyasha moved to the center of the room. My belly twisted with ill-ease, watching as Inuyasha knelt before the altar at the front of the room. It reeked of sage, and Suikostu didn’t waste any time. He began chanting in a language that wasn’t Japanese or English. If I were to guess, I would say it was Latin. I caught bits here and there, like “Damon ir-peat calidoos”. It didn’t sound good, and the younger priests were swaying with the incense they burned.
Inuyasha fell to his hands, nearly bowing to the men in the room, and I could see the sweat on his brow and back. It seeped through his shirt. I barely took a step when Inuyasha held a hand up towards me, stilling me from running to his side. His reassurance did nothing save keep me still, my stomach in knots. I wasn’t sure how long it lasted, but my back and feet ached when the men stopped moving. Suikostu fell to his knees in exhaustion, and I dropped to Inuyasha’s side with worry. He wasn’t moving around as I felt he should be.
A few rushed heartbeats passed, and Inuyasha finally sat up, looking around until his cloudy eyes landed on me. He gripped me hard like I would disappear. “Did it work?”
“I don’t….” My voice caught as the color drained from Inuyasha’s eyes. His hair was black at the roots when I glared at the priests, “what did you do?!!”
Inuyasha grabbed me harder, twisting me back to him. “They didn’t do anything wrong—the sunset. I’m human. Which also means I’m free.”
There was movement behind us but my focus was on Inuyasha. He was weak, from the loss of powers or the process of freedom. Either way, I had to help him to his feet, getting his arm around my shoulder and both of us hunched. We faced the Priest and his followers. Suikostu was on hands and knees while his helpers grabbed at him. Something grabbed at my stomach again, making it twist with apprehension and worry.
“Suikostu? Are you . . . alright?” I squeaked.
Inuyasha had an arm loosely around my waist but at the sound of my fear, he squeezed me. Tighter still when Suikostu began to laugh at the ground. “Am I . . . alright?”
His head popped up and Inuyasha wrenched me back. Suikostu’s eyes were red. And not from stress or crying, they glowed like Inuyasha’s did when he was mad. Only I didn’t find them comforting and pretty like I did Inuyasha’s. Even human, Inuyasha growled. “What the fuck? You’re a human, a Priest!!”
Suikostu chuckled, lifting himself off the floor. And I don’t mean standing, he was floating an inch off the wood. His arms outstretched, he was every bit the intimidating demon I had read about and seen in movies. “I’ve been waiting for this moment for so long, Inuyasha. A chance to get my revenge on the man that killed my family . . .”
“We told you,” I screamed, “it wasn’t Inuyasha!”
“My master wouldn’t lie!!” Suikostu yelled back, the walls shaking from his words.
“Your master?” Inuyasha breathed.
We didn’t have a name but we had a clue. The person that framed Inuyasha had to have been Suikostu’s ‘master’. But who the hell was that??
Suikostu’s eyes fell on me, staring hard as if to look through me. “I never thought I would have this opportunity. To kill the one that loves Inuyasha?” Suikostu laughed hard and dark, “who would have thought a hanyou would ever find anyone to love him? An abomination?!”
“Shut up! Inuyasha isn’t . . .”
Inuyasha squeezed me to the point of pain this time and I looked up. Fear covered his face as he looked -frozen- at Suikostu. “You’ve only dug yourself deeper. Kagome Higurashi, the love of Inuyasha’s life. The only thing that would make this sweeter is if I’d married you first. Oh well, it’ll hurt just the same!”
Inuyasha was pushing us towards the door, forcing me ahead of him. It was dark, no lights on at the shrine and no moon to shine on our path. Screams forced me to turn and look back but Inuyasha kept shoving me towards the stairs. When he stopped, I turned, finding something blocking the way. It towered over us and I stepped back into Inuyasha, my back hitting his chest.
The world spun as he put me behind him. I gained my wits and grabbed the back of his shirt tightly in my fists. My nails dug through the material and into my palms. It was still too dark to see with the shadows of trees blocking more light but what was in front of us was big and covered in black smudges. When it laughed, I realized it was Suikostu.
The man had somehow grown from a small Priest to a large beast. He still looked human and if it was your first time seeing him, you wouldn’t think there was anything wrong. But I knew because I had met him before he changed. And Suikostu was twice the size he’d been less than five minutes ago. When he stepped out of the shadows, revealing that the dark smudges were blood, Suikostu was truly a demon.
“I don’t understand,” I shouted from behind Inuyasha, “you were human! Inuyasha couldn’t have been wrong?”
“I wasn’t.” Inuyasha spat. “He was a human. This had to have been buried inside him somehow.”
Suikostu grinned wickedly and my feet felt numb. “The night you killed my wife awoken this part of me.”
“I didn’t kill your wife!”
“LIES!” Suikostu’s eyes flashed and I yanked on Inuyasha to be quiet. “Master told me the truth and when I found you covered in blood, her blood, I cursed you. And cursed myself at the same time.”
“How?” I screamed, wanting to know but also wanting to delay. “How is it that you were human moments ago if you became a demon back then??”
Suikostu began studying his hands and I noted the blood that coated them. “I died. Then I was reborn. Human again but locked away inside was the me you see now. I suppose I should thank you, Inuyasha. Gone is that weak and pathetic man. This is the second time you’ve awakened the true me.”
“Oh yeah?” Inuyasha growled, “then you can thank us by letting us go.”
“I’m not that grateful,” Suikostu huffed, “and Master would be pissed.”
“Who is your Master? Who do you work for?” I asked, knowing I wouldn’t get an answer. But I still hoped for a clue.
Suikostu looked at me, his eyes burning and his lips sneering. “Someone more powerful than your lover or me combined.”
That didn’t sound good. I yanked on Inuyasha again, wanting to run, but where could we go? We would have to bypass the stairs and run down the hill through the woods. With a death grip on Inuyasha’s arm, I ran the hardest I had in my life. Suikostu didn’t move which told me one thing, my plan of escape was no good.
Inuyasha figured it out too, waiting until we were deep in the dark blanket of trees before stopping. We both huffed, falling over to catch our breaths. Inuyahsa fell to his knees and I quickly grabbed him to get him back up. “Come on, we need to keep going.”
He looked up at me, his dark eyes shining with a painful smile on his face. “No. You have to keep going. I have to stay here and keep him from finding you.”
My mouth dropped open as I looked back at him. Part of me knew he would say this, try and sacrifice himself. But it still shocked me when Inuyasha actually said. Then it enraged me to the point that I saw red. My labored breathing wasn’t from running, it was from the anger that fueled me as I pulled my arm back and slapped Inuyasha’s cheek hard. His face went to the side and I didn’t wait for him to recover.
“You asshole. How dare you try to leave me. Were all the promises you made me lies to get me to sleep with you?!”
I knew better, I did. But like I said, I knew Inuyasha would pull this stunt and I was ready with whatever it took to get him out of his self sacrificing bullshit.
He finally turned back to look at me and even without his demon, his eyes glowed with his grimace. “You know I didn’t. That I would never do that to you.”
“Oh yeah? The hanyou said those things to me, not you. Now, you’re free and everything has changed.”
Inuyasha jumped to his feet and loomed over me. “You’re damn right everything has changed! I have no strength, nothing, and a demon has targeted you because of me!”
He kept his intimidation tactic up, shifting his weight back and forth as he glared down at me. My hand print was still on his cheek so it was hard to feel anything but fear. Not that he would hurt me but that he would die for me. “Let’s think about this,” I whispered, “how does this work for you? You stay and die and I go on living without you? You think that’s fair?” He huffed and turned away so I continued. “And after I mourn you and move on. I meet someone new, fall in love, marry him and have babies with . . .”
I didn’t get to finish, Inuyasha grabbed my arm hard and dragged us both in the right direction. He said nothing and quickly picked up the pace. I was wondering how much it mattered, with the ‘break’ we took and being slow humans to a merciless demon, when we found the street. The stairs to the shrine were near so we hadn’t gotten to far away. But Suikostu was nowhere in sight. There was no way it was this easy.
We made it back to our hotel unscathed and I had questions. How were we alive? Untouched? The dark haired Inuyasha made rough movements around the small room, going to the window to glare out of it. He spoke to me but said his words to the darkness beyond the glass. “What now?”
I shrugged, confused and unsure. “We go home?”
“I am home.”
Still at the door, I leaned against it and hoped it would support me when Inuyasha inevitably pulled the rug out from under me. “You’re going to stay here in Tokyo?”
“I’m free now, to make my own choices. And this is the only place I know. This is my home, Kagome.”
Inuyasha was still looking out the window so I looked at my hands. They shook and I gripped them together to try and stop or hide it. And failed. “It’s your choice . . .”
“You should go to your home. Back to where we met.”
“And what if I choose to stay?” The shaking in my hands traveled higher, feeling Inuyasha’s eyes on me now. “If it’s about choice and freedom then I don’t want to go home . . . not without you.”
Movement drew my attention, watching as Inuyasha turned from the window and stalked towards me. By the time he reached me my shivering was all over. I had to lock my knees to keep from falling before him. He outstretched his arms, placing his hands on the door beside my head. I grabbed onto him, using his shirt to try and steady myself as I felt my world begin to crumble around me. Inuyasha didn’t help me, watching as I feel to pieces. This was what broken love was like? Because it was enough to make me never want to love ever again.
“It’s safer for you to go. To leave without me.”
His dark eyes bore into mine and anger swam to the surface of my cracked heart. “That’s so stupid. Why is it when there’s trouble, the macho male lead always makes the weak female leave?”
“Huh?”
For a moment I forgot who I was talking to. “Why do men think that women are a burden instead of a partner?”
Inuyasha’s sights dropped to my mouth, “because you are.”
I huffed, “screw you.”
“Any man that tells you otherwise doesn’t love you as much I do you.”
His cheeks darkened but Inuyasha didn’t move away from me and he didn’t hide. It didn’t make what he said any less frustrating. “Are you saying that loving me is a burden?!”
The straight and strong arms that held Inuyasha at a distance cracked, lowering himself closer to me in slow motion. “Yes.” I turned away from him but he still dug a hand into my hair and squeezed tightly. “You’re a weakness. I could send you away, tell anyone who asked me that I didn’t love you. But it would be a lie. And I would always think about you, dream about being by your side. I would wonder how long it took for you to move on and marry someone else . . .”
“I’m not going to do that,” I spat, “what kind of person do you take me for?!”
His other hand joined in holding my face. He didn’t force me to turn or look at him, Inuyasha stroked my cheeks that were wet. “The kind that has enough love for everyone. Someone who’s heart is big enough to love someone like me. It should be easy for you to move on. To love again.”
“I don’t want to feel like this ever again.”
With that, Inuyasha pulled me from the door and against him instead. My arms wrapped around him on instinct, gripping the back of his shirt. He still held my head, cradling me to his chest so I could feel his words against my chapped cheek. “It won’t feel like this. You won’t have to run for your life from the next man you love.”
There was a nasty taste in my mouth and vomit in my throat at the thought. “You don’t know that. I could meet a psychopath.”
“Ah fuck, I don’t want to talk about it.”
Inuyasha went quiet and I was able to hear the eratic beats of his heart. And then I noticed the shake in his hands on my face and hair. I slowly turned, finding no restraints on my movements. Inuyasha’s face made my heart stop because he was crying. Silently and gently but the tears were there. I never imagined him the type but I’d also never thought of him as a human.
He sniffed and I falttened my hands, pressing them into his shoulder blades. “There’s another possibility,” He blinked down at me, not a single attempt to wipe his face, “that they come for me anyway and kill me. You’re only human tonight so we have to survive and fight another day. Together.”
“Together?”
It occurred to me then that Inuyasha hadn’t considered it. At no point did he think we would stick together through this. I pushed on him without knowing what I wanted to happen from it. “I thought you wanted to marry me?!”
He shook, shaking me with him as he shivered hard. “More than anything. But that was before Suikostu changed and put a black mark on your head. And it’s all because of me. You should want nothing to do with me even more now, Kagome.”
Inuyasha had been a slave for centuries. Treated as worthless, abused, assaulted, and so many other terrible things I could barely stand to think about. It was going to take far more than one night to wash all of that out of his mind. All I had was a lifetime and I wasn’t sure that was long enough to show Inuyasha he was worthy of life and love.
This time, when I pushed on his back, I had a purpose. He ducked down a little while I pushed up, brushing my lips across his as tenderly as possible. Inuyasha whimpered, holding me to his mouth with the hands he had on my face as he exploded on me. The need within his kiss was different than before. It wasn’t hunger, it was too gentle for that. This was a need for comfort and I supplied it without protest. I let Inuyasha press us into the door and his body against me. I twisted to meet his body, rolling and wiggling to put myself in the most comfortable position possible. We were going to be here a while.
My hands slid down until I relaxed them on the waist of his jeans. Inuyasha’s hands didn’t move but his mouth did as he continued to mold mine to his. Memorizing the shape and size of one another, I was sure I could recognize Inuyasha from his kiss alone from now on.
Hot spit remained on my upper lip, Inuyasha placing a final wet kiss before slowly pulling away. The distance was short but there were more important things than reassurances and pleasure. “How do we get home? I don’t have my jinni powers anymore.”
I pushed Inuyasha back just enough to reach into my pocket, pulling out the passports. “All we need are these . . . and some money.”
A lot of money actually but we would have to rely on Miroku again since I was without any means. I wasn’t sure we could get through security with just passports alone. I didn’t have my driver’s license and Inuyasha looked nothing like his picture while human. I didn’t know how Miroku got the picture of Inuyasha and I didn’t want to know. It was bad enough to have the fake passports.
Inuyasha eyed the small wallets carefully in confusion but I would have to explain on the way. Something he got without a word from me, pulling me from the door to stand behind him before opening it a crack. It was pushed wide by someone else and a gasp hiccupped from me when Inuyasha pushed me back so hard I fell on my ass.
Suikostu was on the other side of our door.
He didn’t hesitate to backhand Inuyasha, sending him flying over my head and deeper into he room. I didn’t have time to worry over Inuyasha, Suikostu was hovering over me in a blink. My breath caught in my throat and Suikostu smiled with malice down at me.
Inuyasha groaned so I knew he was alive and awake. It was why, when Suikostu began to bend over me, I shouted as clearly as possible at him, “this isn’t your fault, Inuyasha. You didn’t do anything to deserve this and I will always love you.”
He growled behind me and scrambled to his feet. I closed my eyes tight so I didn’t have to watch my death. My hands went out on instinct to hold Suikostu back. I felt him touch my hands with his chest but the pressure disappeared in an instant. Not understanding, I slowly opened my eyes. Had I died so quickly that I felt nothing? No, I was still alive but somehow, Suikostu was in a wall. He groaned and moved so he was still alive too. Inuyasha was at my side, scooping me up in his arms. He planned to run but I knew we wouldn’t make it a second time.
Suikostu fell from his dent and the blood on him this time was his own. I watched in awe as he began to shrink, getting back to the size he was when we met. His eyes were to the floor and he shook and rubbed his head with his fist only to look up at me in bewilderment. “How did you . . . it doesn’t matter, time is limited. I don’t think I can hold him back for long. You two need to go.”
Suikostu was human again, staring at the two of us like we were the ones in the wrong. As much as I wanted to understand there was no time or choice, wrapping my head around the fact that Suikostu had been a demon and now he wasn’t was all I was able to do before Inuyasha hauled ass out of the hotel.
“Why didn’t you tell me?!” Inuyasha was whispering but yelling at the same time, growling under his breath.
My head spun in confusion over so many things so all I could answer with was, “tell you what?”
“That you had powers? That you could purify a demon?!”
“What are you talking about?”
My vision was swimming in red, and Inuyasha was already too freaked out for me to mention it so I freaked out inside in silence. His questions weren’t helping but he wasn’t stopping. “Suikostu was already going to kill you out of bitterness. Now, he and any demon that can will try to kill you out of revenge.”
Inuyasha was scaring me and for the first time, he didn’t seem to care. “I don’t understand? What did I do, what am I?”
His eyes danced to mine but he never slowed, running with me in his arms to anywhere but where Suikostu was. Inuyasha did take a moment to rub me with his thumbs as best he could, trying to calm me some. It all told me what he said next would only be worse. “You fought against a demon and knocked him back on his ass. Because, you’re a miko. A threat to all demons. And now, there’s an even larger target on your back. Either they will want to kill you or take you from me because no way anyone will be happy with me having a miko by my side. Malice or envy, we may never be able to stop running.” He looked down at me with a sad smile, “I thought you could see my ears because you were my master and then I thought it was because you loved me. Turns out, it’s because you had the power to see past the glamour. I should have known, I’m so sorry, Kagome.”
“Sorry?” What did he have to be sorry about?
“This is all my fault . . .”
“If you’re going to keep up with that shit then there’s only one way to make it up to me.” Inuyasha turned into an alleyway, leaning into the darkness and finding my eyes in it. “You can never leave me. You can’t talk about it or think about it ever again. We need each other whether you believe it or not, I need you Inuyasha.”
He was slow to respond, nodding carefully down at me. “Til death do we part.”

If I Fall: A Renga @sins-week story Chapter 1: Envy, now live on Ao3!
Hello everyone! This year for Sins Week, I wanted to try something a little different. I had this idea for a Renga fic, featuring fallen angel Langa, artist Reki, and lots of pining and fighting feelings. @kalcia was kind enough to do some commissioned art for this first chapter, and she has created a simply gorgeous Reki, one that Langa would definitely fall in love with at first sight (even if he doesn't want to!)
Chapter 1 is live, and I hope that you enjoy!
Story Summary:
Hasegawa Langa is a fallen angel, destined to walk the Earth forever alone after events in Heaven leave him without a family and without a home. Driven by vengeance, he decides to seduce humans, make them fall in love with him, and then leave them heartbroken. By doing so, he get his revenge on God, for sentencing him to Earth, and on Shindo Ainosuke, the demon who did the same to him when he was at his most vulnerable.
Unfortunately for Langa, the first human he meets is young artist with sparkling amber eyes and muscular arms. Will he be able to carry out his mission successfully? Or, will his feelings for Kyan Reki overcome his desire for revenge?

Coffee Shop AU  @arrowfam-events So this is so late but I think well worth it!  I have so many ideas about this au. (Also the heist one, which i promise I’ll get to eventually.)  Anyway have all my thoughts: - Ollie owns a coffee shop called “Blue Boar Cafe” named after “Blue Boar Inn” aka the inn in the story of Robin Hood.  - Dinah owns a flower shop right next door, which of course is named “Sherwood Florist” because Grell gave us pure gold with that one.  - Eddie owns the buildings and pops in from time to time. There are apartments above the shops.  - Shado, Dinah, and Ollie all own apartments above the shops. Shado is rarely there and Emiko(13) tends to hang out with Oliver and Roy a lot. - Roy(17) and Connor(2) live with Ollie. Mia(16) and Sin(1) live with Dinah. Connor lives with Ollie every other week, spending the rest of the time with his mother.  - Roy works at the Blue Boar, Mia at Sherwood. Emiko is technically too young to be employed but she can and will work at either when she wants to. - Jade and Dodger make frequent appearances to annoy Roy and Mia respectively. (I like to think the titans also come to annoy Roy at work, and Wally is no longer allowed to have coffee.)

The doorbell rang a second time, only seconds after Logan heard the first chime echo down the hall. He nudged aside the curtain and peered through the front window, then opened the door with a nod. His newest student, Remus Hyde, stood smiling on the doorstep, hand hovering over the doorbell. A small, dented rolling suitcase with a satchel strapped to the handle rested beside him.
“Good afternoon, Remus. Thank you for being so punctual. Please, come in,” Logan waved him inside with a little bow of his head before looking curiously at the suitcase. “Are you traveling this evening?”
“Huh?” Remus blinked for a moment, smile shrinking, then laughed as he continued to follow Logan toward the front room and the piano. He parked his suitcase next to the coat rack and hung his jacket. “Oh, this old thing, right. No, I just got back. Had a couple shows in Jakarta and I came here straight from the airport.” His eyes widened and he held up both hands, adding in a rush. "My flight was delayed, I didn’t just plan this really badly.”
“I never thought you did,” Logan smiled, hoping to ease his nervousness. “I appreciate your dedication but I hope you know I would have understood if you needed to cancel. As long as—”
“No! No, I wouldn’t want to miss this for anything,” Remus grinned and sat down in front of the piano, adjusting the height of the bench.
Logan chuckled, “Ah, yes… You are a good two feet taller than my last student.” He watched quietly as Remus rubbed his fingers together as though warming them, then as he held them carefully over the keys in the C position, not yet pressing down. “Before you begin," Logan continued, smile broadening at his well-practiced posture. "Remus, may I offer you some water?”
“No, thank you.” Remus’ hands practically buzzed with energy and Logan had the distinct impression he was already playing in his mind. Without looking away, he gestured with his head toward his suitcase. “My Lyft driver hooked me up.”
Eyes drawn to his bag, Logan noticed the small CGK -> SEA bag check strip hanging next to a bright green luggage tag. “Wait, did you say you just flew in from Jakarta? ” He tilted his head at his student. “Jakarta, Indonesia?” Remus nodded, hands now moving across the keys, still waiting until instructed to press down. “That’s at least a twelve hour flight!’
“Fifteen,” Remus nodded again, this time with a little shrug as he bounced his heels against the floor. “It was a great time to compose. I was working on something on the flight and I’d love to play it for you.” He smiled up at Logan. “May I?”
“Please,” Logan nodded and Remus immediately launched into a riotous crescendo, hands racing up and down the keys. Logan listened with a half smile, something haunting and familiar about the piece. It took several measures before he recognized a chord progression from his own composition that Remus had played during their previous lesson. Logan continued to listen, the harmony elevated to a new melody, interwoven with reversed refrains from the Beethoven he'd played that day, as well as some of the first movement of the Moonlight Sonata, Toccata and Fugue, and other snippets from the most famous classics and baroque pieces, all woven through Remus' own original work.
He felt an odd stirring of pride to have variations of his music included with that of the great composers of the 18th and 19th centuries. Remus finished with a flourish and looked up, hands resting primly on the keys, near trembling as he waited for his instructor’s feedback.
“That was… beautiful, Remus.” He watched Remus’ fingers dance over the keys, silently replaying different sections. He pointed to his hands and nodded. “That part, right there… Play that again, please.”
Remus picked up exactly where he’d been in the music with that hand position, fingers flying with a grace and speed Logan had rarely seen. And certainly never personally experienced. After he’d finished that section, he looked up at Logan again with expectant eyes.
“And how long have you been working on this piece?” Logan was incredibly impressed he’d managed to so seamlessly incorporate new pieces from last week’s lesson.
Remus moved his hands from the keys and instead drummed his fingers against his lap. Almost chagrined, he waggled his head back and forth as he spoke. “It… it took me most of the flight, actually.”
Legs pointed away from the piano, Logan perched next to him on the bench. “Are you saying you composed this entire piece in your head on a fifteen hour flight from Singapore?”
Again, he shrugged. Sitting this close, Logan only now noticed Remus’ bloodshot eyes and purplish shadows he’d hidden with makeup. "Remus, when have you last slept?" Logan shifted in his seat, preparing to rise and send Remus home early for a well-deserved rest.
As though reading his mind, Remus reached for his arm, then pulled back before actually touching him. “I’m fine, really,” he said, eyes wide and searching Logan’s features. “Please. Please, let’s continue the lesson.”
“If you are quite certain…” Logan began, doubt coloring his voice. Remus nodded rapidly and sat up straight in front of the keys, hands in a perfect apple curve. He could have balanced a ruler on the backs of his wrists.
“Very well, Remus. Perhaps together we can begin to transcribe your composition,” Logan murmured, swinging his legs around to the other side to face the piano. He pulled a pencil and a sheaf of blank staff paper from the basket next to the piano and smiled. “Will you play it again?”

Gluttony/Orange
For day 5 of @sins-week! Some more InuKag spice.
Spice level: 🌶
🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
Inuyasha’s eyes were beautiful.
No matter what light they were in, they always seemed to glow with a supernatural light that made them swirl and churn with all of his thoughts and feelings, drops of molten gold that scorched her when they looked at her, made her blood heat, made her skin flush.
Especially when his yoki was heightened.
When something stirred him up and the red of his demon form began to bleed into his eyes, they would glow a deep, wild orange, and to Kagome, that’s when they were most beautiful of all.
Some would say she was foolish, but sometimes she provoked him, traipsing around unclothed, bending over to clean and swinging her hips out of the way when he tried to grab her.
She would taunt and tease and even go outside, leading him into the woods that surrounded their hut. It was positioned far enough away that she wasn’t at risk of being seen, but Inuyasha didn’t care, and just the idea that she was exposed outside of the tree line was enough add fuel to his frustrations.
He would race out after her and she would run as fast as she could, dodging between the trees and giggling as she managed to evade several of his attempts to grab her.
By the time he caught her he’d be half feral, his eyes glowing that irresistible shade of sunset, and he’d pin her to a tree and remind her who it was she belonged to.
Staring down at the pile of dirt she’d just swept up, a shiver ran down her spine.
She peeked over her shoulder and saw Inuyasha’s gaze boring into her back.
She knew he could smell her arousal, and inspired by the memories she’d just been replaying, she held his stare and slowly untied the knot holding her clothing together.
He shook his head slowly when he saw her eyes dart to the door, and already gold was deepening, darkening, the shadow of his facial markings swimming to the surface.
“You’re a glutton for punishment, Kagome.”
“Some lessons have to be learned the hard way,” she said, turning to face him as she held out her yukata and let him have one good look of her fully nude and within reach.
He sighed and stood up, a graceful, fluid motion that made her heart beat even faster, and a smirk tilted one corner of his mouth.
“Well. Go on. I’ll even give you a little head start.”
He was taunting her now, promising delicious retribution for her antics, and a flush washed over her skin as she anticipated the culmination of their little game.
“Ready. Set. GO.” He whispered, and she dropped her clothing and ran.

It’s Six Sentence Sunday!
With Sins a week away, I thought I’d go ahead and tease this a little. Here’s six sentences from the next installment of Hanyou in a Bottle for @sins-week
