She’s perfect! Enixela has finally landed here on earth after traveling very far from her home on pluto. She’s enjoying the warm sun and funky blue flowers

One of the glaze tests for my cocktail mug called "Employee of the month". I drew inspiration from the Dethklok music video "Briefcase Full of Guts" and the Haunted Mansion. This mug will be available in several different color variants. His backstory is: He's so dedicated to his job that he wins employee of the month every month. If a coworker seems as though they might win or even be considered, they disappear. He has no hobbies, only work. He drinks one cocktail at the end the day staring at his wall of awards. He won nothing as a child but wins everything now.
I have been trying to make a slipcast version of this guy literally my whole life CAN YOU SEE MY TEARS OF JOY?? From 3D modeling to 3D print to plaster and finally to clay…it’s been a lot. Okay I’m done 😂
New art! Slipcase bottles with wash drawings with carved highlights. Learning about making “middle class art.” #ceramics #slipcast #stoneware #inkwash #underglaze #bottle #vessel #supine #man #drawing https://www.instagram.com/p/ClhEjSYJ8ZE/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
I pulled out some sculpture and vessels by me and @studio.jennilukasiewicz and gathered them on the big shelf. We’ve made so many interesting looking objects, some beautiful, some weird, a spectrum from delicate to brutal. They also look great together. #newyorkart #newyorkartist #brooklynartist #postcontemporaryart #artstudio #artwork #artcollector #ceramic #pottery #ceramics #sculpture #handbuilding #clay #contemporaryceramics #ceramicart #slipcasting #moldmaking #crochet #leather #artobjects #handmade #hawaii #airstrike (at Brooklyn, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/ClJRexfrjid/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Here’s a peek at what I’ve been up to lately in the bits of time I have in between being swamped with other obligations. Since I have so little time to work on my creative stuff, I’ve been concentrating on actually working instead of writing and posting about the work. . I’ve been revisiting some old forms and old ways of working because I feel like exploring the themes that prompted me to make that work in the first place; these constructions out of modular components are a physical and tactile exploration about reconciling the integrity and value of the individual within strongly interconnected and interdependent environments. I’ve been struggling with this in my own life, where I feel I’ve been pressured to deprioritize myself as an individual in order to better facilitate existing within modern western social structures. Making this work is a way for me to process these questions, issues, and traumas in ways that may bring new perspectives into play. It’s also calming and meditative. . Even the act of making this work connects to these issues of existing on a continuum between being an individual and being a member of one’s surroundings. I’ve felt that what I choose to make is influenced by what I think others would like to see and experience rather than what I would like to make and experience. And so the paradox of this work is that I’m making work for myself, but that explores what it means to be and act in coordination with others. . #ceramics #sculpture #slipcasting https://www.instagram.com/p/ChG_MqIOoz6/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
