Oh Archons {ChiLi}
A/N [WARNING THIS IS A TICKLE FIC] if you don’t like it, don’t read it. Sorry for any mistakes that i’ve made but i hope if you read this I hope you enjoy it. i was going to post this for tickletober but i decided to convert them into fics instead but i hope you enjoy it all the same :D - bunny 🔮
“My, my, Zhongli, I didn’t realise an archon could be so ticklish.” Childe hummed. Below him, Zhongli barely had the strength to form any words, coherent words that is, as Childe was currently drilling his thumbs into the former archon’s hips.
“CHIHIHIHILDE!” He cried, bucking his hips up and inevitably pushing himself further into the tickles. Childe just chuckled at the situation.
“Yes, my dear, what can I do for you?”
“STAHAHA- STAHAP! CHAHAHANGE PLACES!” Though his laugh was being broken up by low chuckles, Zhongli was borderline hysteric at this point. His face was flushed, head tossing this way and that to escape the sensations. The feeling was jarring, almost maddening- the harbinger’s dull nails would occasionally scratch at the thin bit of skin, thumbs pressing right in the divot of his hips, the feeling only intensifying because of the way Zhongli had been stretched taut. Childe did an exaggerated thinking face, fingers still toggling with the hypersensitive muscles exposed.
“I don’t know, Zhongli, you’re laughing so much I must assume that you like this spot?” He said, switching to scribbling along with his blunt nails. Zhongli shook his head vehemently. This was meant to be a relaxing afternoon, the elder had prepared them some jasmine tea, intending to have a peaceful chat and spend some quality time together, something they hadn’t had in quite a while. Had he known that Childe would be in one of his more playful moods, perhaps he would’ve worn more layers of protection. Alas, the thin shirt he was clad in wasn’t offering him much help, not that any protection was guaranteed to make him feel any better. The man was just far too sensitive in that one spot.
“No?”
“nohohoHOHOHO! ihihihit’s terrIHIHIble GAH-!” The ginger smirked at the answer. He would switch between poking, prodding and toggling at the spot. Zhongli arched his back before abruptly slamming it back down, only once he realised he was practically offering his tickle spots up to his devious boyfriend’s fingers. Childe couldn’t help but smirk.
“Oh, well if you don’t find it funny, I suppose I’ll stop when you stop laughing. That sound fair, love?” How unbelievably cruel!
“chihihihiHIHIHIHILDE! i-ihihihi HEHEHE! i-i cahahan’t!” Zhongli cried, his face bright red.
“You can’t? Well, why can’t you? Surely a man of your power and status can simply keep a straight face for a little longer, right, Mr Zhongli?” He teased. He punctuated his sentence by pinching Zhongli’s hips, causing the man to let out an involuntary snort. Childe snickered. “It can’t be that bad, can it? You aren’t that ticklish, are you, love?”
He was.
Terribly so.
Every other word he tried to speak came off with a squeal or giggle. He was deeply embarrassed by the noises he was making, trying to cover them up by turning his head to the side. Childe was absolutely infatuated with how his lover looked right now. Adorned in a deep blush that spread to his ears, and a grin that outshone the sun itself. He smiled fondly at his cackling boyfriend.
“Gods above, Zhongli, I could just eat you up right now. Oh, that’s not a bad idea actually.” He stated, a new glimmer in his eye. Maybe if the other wasn’t in hysterics, he would’ve seen the way Childe’s eyes lit up.
“w-whahahat dohohoho y-yohou me-EEEEEK CHIHIHIHIHILDE! S-STAHAHAHAP!” An unhinged shriek ripped from his throat, loud bouts of laughter following straight after. With speed that rivalled a top harbinger, the younger had dipped his head down, using his teeth to nibble at Zhongli’s hips with precision. It was enough to drive anyone mad.
He hummed against his skin. “Mmm, you taste so sweet, I could do this all day, Zhongli.” He mused. Zhongli drummed his feet against the arm of the chair, screeching with every bite.
“NOHOHOHO! NOHOHO MOHOHOHOHOHORE- IHIHIHI GIHIHIHIVE!” He cried.
“Already? But we’ve barely gotten started. I can’t just leave the other side lonely, that wouldn’t be fair now, would it?” Said the ginger. He quickly moved his head to nibble at the other side of his hips and Zhongli saw stars. It was like ticklish shocks were being sent through his nervous system and he went wild.
“C-CHIHIHIL- ohohohoho p-pleheheHEHEASE AJAX!” That got his attention. “AJAHAHAHAHAX NOHOHOHO MOHORE!” Childe lifted his head at the call of his name, moving his hands and mouth. Zhongli’s body went limp against the couch, catching up on his breathing but still letting laughter slip out. Ajax smiled and sat up, beginning to rub gently at his boyfriend’s sensitive skin.
“You don’t call me that very often, Zhongli.” He smiled.
“Yehehes w-wehehell, I needed a w-wahahay out.” He giggled out. After a few minutes, Zhongli sat up, shooting daggers at Childe, though the effect was lost as he still had that bright eyed smile etched on his face.
“You can glare at me all you want, I know you still love me.” Childe laughed. Zhongli glanced at him momentarily before humming.
“Perhaps that is true, but do you know one thing I love more than your childish antics?” He said.
“What’s that, Mr Zhongli?”
“Revenge.”
“wha- no no no NOHOHO!”

ARB Birthday Special: Tomi Chōten
Tumblr media
~~ August 14th ~~
"It’s all about the money."
Login Lines:
"...Yes, yes, I'll be sure to attend your party later this week. Thank you ever so much for your time. *sighs* How I detest the fact that I have to appease these sycophants. They are all the same: they simply wish to be seen with me, or they want something from me. *sighs* What's next on the agenda, Hino-san?"
"Hmm... 'prepare for my birthday celebration'? ...Hino-san, did you purposely leave this off my calendar so I wouldn't know today is my day of birth? ...You wanted me to see this last since I'll have the rest of the day free? ...Very well, I'll accept this, but please give me some notice next time."
Voice Lines:
*Sighs* "Maybe I should have kept quiet about today being my birthday. It seems every time it comes around, more and more people try to bring me meaningless gifts in an attempt to gain my favor. And they're all of low-quality too. But considering they are all commoners, my expectations weren't very high to begin with."
"...Still, I suppose there's something to be said for gifts that come from the heart instead of being bought off of a shelf from a store just because it's convenient. I can't even recall the last time my parents gave me a gift that wasn't just money or some expensive piece of jewelry. The only person in my family who actually gave me something of actual worth was my brot... gah! Why am I remembering useless things like this?!"
"My parents are planning a large party for my birthday, as they do every time my birthday rolls around. I'd ask if it were possible to just have a small one, but I'd just be wasting my breath. They'd give me the same speech they always give about how important it is to 'make a good impression' or 'uphold the Chōten legacy'. Different day, same thing..."
"Thank you, Karada. I'm glad to see you've stopped by. ...Yes, it's hard to believe we've associated with each other for such a long time. Honestly, I'm glad I decided to speak with you. If I hadn't, I wouldn't have gotten to know you. You are... a good friend. ...Yes, I do mean that."
"And what is this now? ...A phone screen magnifier? For viewing my phone up close? ...And pray tell, why exactly would I need this? If I want to watch movies, that is what my 64-inch flat screen is for. ...Very well, I'll accept it. I suppose it would be good to use when I'm FaceTiming someone."
"Ah, Luis. For the second time in a year, you've actually made it out for my birthday. Keep this up, and I may start to think that you actually value me. ...Ha, so you aren't able to stop Karada from dragging you out of your restaurant? Aren't you older and taller than him? Sorry, but I don't buy that excuse."
"Fine, I'll keep my comments to myself in exchange for the gift that you've graciously bought for me. So, what is it? A... food smoker? ...Luis, are you sure you didn't buy this for yourself? Did you forget that I have chefs cook for me? Why would I ever use this? ...It can also be used for cocktails? ...Fine, I'll give it a try. But FYI, if I don't like this thing, I'm giving it to my head chef."
Karada Lines:
"Happy birthday, Tomi! Man, I tell you, I can't believe we've only known each other for only seven years! It feels so much longer! ...Yeah man, I'm glad you spoke to me too! You're a good guy, despite what anyone else says and thinks. ...Aww! Thanks, Tomi! That means a lot to me, man!"
"Here's your birthday gift! I'll admit, I had trouble finding something good, but I saw this in a catalog and realized it would be good for you. It's a phone screen magnifier for viewing your phone screen up close. Pretty nifty, huh? ...Well, I mean you may not want to use your TV all the time. And it's not just for videos, you can also use it when you're browsing the Internet or something. Great, glad you like it, man! Happy birthday again!"
Luis Lines:
"Yeah yeah, happy birthday, Tomi. ...Oh, don't get a big head. You're not that important to me. I'm only here because of Karada. Honestly, if he hadn't reminded me that today was your birthday, I would have forgotten. ...Keep running off at your mouth, and I'll take this gift I bought you back with me. Your choice."
"Good. So... here. It's a food smoker. You use it to blow out smoke onto food and drinks to give it a nice aroma. ...It's not just for your food, smartass. I just said you can also use it for your drinks, like cocktails. ...Fine, whatever. I gave you a gift, which means I'm done. Now, I'm heading out. Happy birthday or whatever, you ungrateful ass."

Crazy:B Tickle Headcanons
Tumblr media
Honestly, I just think their dynamic is really cute? Like, it's so...crazy? No shit it's called Crazy:B for a reason--
But I meant that their relationship with each other is something I find very very wholesome? It's so hard to not like them (..for me at least. Sorry if you can't tell I really am into a certain borderline-blue-and-gray-haired-man-who-will-literally-die-if-not-fed).
Rinne Amagi
He's like, moderately ticklish from what I see him as but I can definitely see that he's more often the ler than lee.
That's pretty obvious considering his personality but...I can't see him as full ler?
As a ler, Rinne now would be really really playfully aggressive? Like he knows when to stop but he'll probably go a biiiit beyond that if it's someone he's ridiculously close to.
For example, he knows the spot that will get his victim instantly go to hysterics and will torment that, and probably that spot only.
He teases but not in the way that really flusters the lee, but more of the kind that's like "oh? Let's test this spot then! You probably won't mind considering you're not saying anything!" Because you're laughing your head off.
His main victim is Niki currently since they're both really close but I don't think he's exactly like this to his other unit-mates or Hiiro.
I can see that he'll probably be more of an actual teaser to them but less aggressive on tickles? Like quantity than quality for them ig?
As a lee however, he's really difficult to tickle if you're really intending to kill him. If you're just testing the waters out he's probably gonna let you by just like, not laughing or letting out a few giggles and go like "having fun?" And then tickle you back instantly.
However, if you do try to make him laugh-laugh, then you need someone or to find a way to get his worst spots without getting pushed or tackled by him.
Once you do, it's pretty easy and him laughing is usually filled with empty threats of him saying he'll get you back in a way.
He can stand most spots and can hide his reactions but he usually just chooses to let his giggles spill, but if you want him squirming and hysterical, go under his knees or go for his lower back.
His laugh is... pretty...out of character. It's actually pretty low and soft and when he goes hysterical it's just mostly breathy laughter coming from the fact he tries to speak alot when he's tickled.
Niki Shiina
I feel like Niki is somehow the second to the least ticklish from Crazy:B? Like, Rinne being the 'least' since he's so good at controlling himself but he still is, Niki is just sliiightly more sensitive than him.
Niki is also like, mainly 50/50 but he doesn't get involved in lots of tickling so both are a fairly low count...
As a lee, Niki is fairly squirmy and his laughter is mainly filled with squeals and shrieks with a few bits of giggles here and there.
His main ler is ... pretty obvious. A certain red-head who really enjoys to be with him.
But other than him, he doesn't get often get tickled by others, the only other few are his other unit-mates and it's usually on accident really.
Sometimes he allows his roommates to tickle him though. They get so enthusiastic about it and really love to be playful. When he does though, he really tries his best to squirm less by just shifting more but it's not really a problem considering Hiiro is...fairly strong.
He's not that good at hiding his reactions and he doesn't even try to, so tickling him at the most generic spots gets him to react with a shriek then followed by a downpour of giggles. Like "GAH-- Wh- Oi what are you- ahahahaha!!...stop iHihiT!!"
But if you want him hysterical with squeaking and squealing, best area to go for is digging at his hipbones or kneading his tummy, it's gonna get you far.
As a ler though, he's mostly just playful? He tries to be a bit more aggressive if it's revenge tickles but he can't really go far even if he tries.
It's mostly skittering and pokes, but he doesn't usually knead or full on attack them, more of little attacks that keep them giggling for so long.
It's usually so cute too cause his teases are just like "hehe you're so ticklish!" Or "ah? Ah! It tickles doesn't it? Cootchie cootchie coo!!~"
HiMERU
Ah HiMERU is canonically ticklish!! That's so cute!!
I can imagine him actually being the most ticklish out of Crazy:B since he's the one that easily reacts to it the most out of them all.
He doesn't exactly scream 'lee' but he's more often lee than lee though.
As a lee, his reactions would be pretty entertaining as being poked, or having a ticklish spot brushed on, or getting tickled by objects will get him to immediately just drop the "haha... please don't do that, HiMERU is ticklish" since he does try to be as "uptight" as possible.
But then if you persist, he gets a bit more flustered and then tries to actually hide his reactions and it's not working! Like it's so cute seeing him go red and say something like "a-ah.? P-Produhucer what are you-- ahah...!".
If you really do tickle him, he just tries to curl up on himself than fight or try to push you away to avoid hurting you, but his reactions are so precious since he's trying to keep his cool persona but it's falling apart.
His worst spot is his neck actually and it's really cute to see him scrunch up and lose his ability to use words properly ~
As a ler though, he's similar to Niki in a sense? He doesn't tease alot, it's mostly just statements like "...HiMERU was just curious." After he playfully scribbles on someone and considers that a revenge tickle.
He could go more aggressive for people that deserve it but overall he's really gentle.
Kohaku Oukawa
KOHAKU THE BABY OF THE TEAM!!
He's probably the second to the most ticklish (after...HiMERU) and it's so cute to think about since the first thing they comment on about him is usually how he's "so mature for his age yet shows his childish side" too.
He's also mainly a switch but more of 70% lee and 30% ler, not cause he's not good at it, but mainly cause he doesn't have that much victims? Victims is such a funny word tbh.
At some point he probably tickled Aira as a small playful act but didn't do it all throughout, mainly just those playful pokes to get him to smile and all.
Same with his unit-mates, but he probably only tried to tickle them once and dipped since they're all older and act like brothers to him so they immediately got revenge tickles on him and he never tried again.
He can probably stand a chance though if someone were to help.
As a lee though, he's also squirmy and he really really tries to get away! Like a fish out of water.
His laugh is so free and bubbly that the ler can't help but smile when tickling him cause even if he tries to punch or kick you, you can't help but feel entranced with his laughter.
It's so childish and carefree even if there's empty threats mixed in.
It'll take a bit more effort to get him to giggle so he doesn't react to like, single pokes or accidental brushes.
His worst spot is probably his sides and usually when people just start squeezing non-stop his laughter gets really high pitched and panic-y while he starts flailing around not sure what to do with his hands.

(here we go again-) i enjoy singing as well, but only in private as i have severely low confidence. come to think of it, an s/o that could deal with my constant overemotional-ness would be fantastic. i cry a lot, and get stressed very easily, and it shows when i bite my nails. i tend to get mood swings, going from sunshine happy to dark depression to fiery anger within a few hours. i need support, and a lot of it. i just want a best friend and an s/o all rolled into one. 💎
(last ask, i promise!) my style is a weird combo of grunge and the softgirl aesthetic. i’m loyal af in a relationship, and i’m patient to no end with an s/o. i have zero self-confidence, so i usually end up putting myself down for others’ gains. it’s a bad habit. but i’ll spoil an s/o rotten, and just adore them with more love than they’ve ever known in their lives. my main goal is happiness, both for me and those around me. thanks for this, and i am SO SORRY if your inbox isn’t open! gah!!💎
-
I’m unsure if there was another one before this, these were the only two diamond ask in my ask box, so apologies if one of your ask for matchups got eaten by the demons in my ask- Also, high five on the low confidence front, haha! Seems that we all beat ourselves up despite everyone around us seeing the good qualities we overlook. Hopefully, we, and anyone else with low confidence, can overcome that obstacle!
Boyfriend Match: Sinister (Horrortale Sans)
Honestly, you and Sinister are a great match! He can understand when you feel down on yourself, and how hard it is to get over that harsh mindset. He’d remind you how wrong your inner critic is about yourself, and how you truly have no idea how much you mean to everyone. Y’know, he loves seeing you happy. You may not know just how much joy he gets from making you happy. Creating wonderful memories. Maybe the surface was worth the wait, if you were there to support him and his brother.
Romantic Interest Match: Nightmare
Emotions were too much at time, whether it was from positive or negative ones, everyone could get worn out from over-positivity/over-negativity. So, y’know, balancing it out is good. And hey, you didn’t hear this from me, but there are times where he ensures that the negativity doesn’t overwhelm you. He’s caring, but not up front. So perhaps, the smiles you give him, as if you know is enough to make him feel appreciated. And y’know what? That’s good enough for him.
Best Friend Match: Papyrus
Your cheerleader! You’re confident booster when you can’t get motivation to do things! He’s always there for you, cheering you on. He encourages taking care of yourself and mental health, because its important! He understands when you have your bad days, that doesn’t bother him. He’s always going to lend a hand- and he appreciates when you go out of your way making him happy. He couldn’t have asked for a better friend!

(SFW) prompt 84: “Leave me alone.” “I brought cookies.” “… fine, come in.” with Leviathan and f!mc
Hey nonny! For this prompt, I immediately knew how to start this and I knew it was going to be "easy" for me to write it but it took me... awhile... to finally sit down and write this.
Thank you so much for the request, I hope you enjoy this at least half as much as I did writing it 💜💜
Inspired by this rolling pin
SFW, female MC, fluffy with a dash of angst, no warnings (but can be added if requested)
Cookies for the Otaku
The timer rang and she picked herself off the counter. Sliding on the oven mitts, MC opened the oven, pulled out the tray, closed the oven, and turned off the timer. The kitchen resumed its relative silence as she inspected the baked cookies. She'd made enough, she hoped, for Beel and the other brothers, but this last batch was special.
Resisting the urge to sigh again, MC waited a few minutes before removing the cookies from the pan to let them rest on the wire cooling rack. What better way to cheer up the otaku than with her signature snickerdoodle cookies imprinted with Ruri-chan and Azuki-tan designs from the limited edition "Baking With Ruri-chan Rolling Pin" she'd bought specifically to make for Ruri-chan's number one fan.
She'd overheard the brothers this morning teasing the third-born over a picture he'd posted of the two of them from Christmas he'd tagged with #ChristmasDate and #WithMyBeloved. Mammon had started the fuss showing it to everyone and soon after, the brothers had followed suit. They filled the halls with their squawking and opinions saying things like "you wish she saw you more than a friend," and comparing what they saw as their redeeming qualities with his "flaws."
Before MC even had a chance to step in, Lucifer intervened. Much to her disdain, the eldest criticized Leviathan's decision to post the picture at all, saying he'd had the intention to cause a ruckus. MC felt Leviathan's growl of frustration vibrate the air around her before he stormed back to his room, slamming the door shut behind him. Distracted during her classes, MC sent Levi a few messages throughout the day, trying to reach him through a few of his social media accounts but his status was always unavailable or offline compared to the almost permanent active/online status.
Plating up the special cookies made just for him, MC set off down the hall not knowing what state he'd be in but wanting to help him any way she could. She knocked on the door, but only silence responded. Knocking a little louder resulted in the same silence. Starting to worry, MC jiggled the locked door handle and knocked louder; he would be able to at least feel the vibrations if he was in the aquarium.
"Go away." His voice was rough, not necessarily loud but it was low and threatening reminding her of a rattlesnake.
"Levi? It's me, I-"
"Leave me alone." He cut her off and she heard a splash of water followed by soft footsteps. His voice, no longer filled with venom, sounded defeated and sad.
"I brought cookies. Snickerdoodle? Said to hold magical powers that can turn any grumpy guppy into a silly sea turtle..." Silence stretched out the seconds and her hope gradually deflated until she'd heard him sigh and a rustle behind the door. The lock clicked soon after, the door opening barely a sliver.
"...fine. Come in." Usually he'd at least smile, tease her for using such childish alliterations when she'd attempted to cheer him up in the past. Levi's deadpan tone crawled under her skin uncomfortably but she reached out to open the door, pulling it closed behind her and locking it as he had done previously.
MC's eyes followed the trail of puddles decorating the floor around the room before her gaze landed on the culprit. Levi had fallen back in his bathtub bed, legs dangling over the edge as his computer's screensaver cast an unsettling glow in the room.
Walking over to his desk to set down the plate of cookies, MC moved the mouse slightly causing the screen flicker to life; she wasn't interested with what was on the screen so much as the default screensaver had been silently mocking her.
MC took a cookie from the plate and placed it in her mouth, moving to stand between his legs. She held her hand out expectantly, waiting for the third-born to take it and let her pull him up. Eventually when he reached for her hand, Levi locked his legs around hers, lifting her before pulling her down into the tub with him. The cookie had fallen during the movement as she had yelped in surprise, and landed on his chest.
Arranging themselves to be comfortable, MC was lying on her back and Levi had his head resting on her stomach, her fingers brushing through his wet hair with the cookie lying innocently on her abdomen. It was quiet for awhile, neither of them spoke but the atmosphere was comforting, reassuring.
Finally, MC felt his fingers ghost along her stomach to inspect the cookie. It was too dim to see the pattern but she wasn't concerned about it; he'd see the design eventually.
"You made these?" His voice was barely above a whisper so as to not disrupt the mood.
"Mhmm," an affirmative hum in response, fingers still sifting through his hair, nails lightly scratching at his scalp. Levi hugged her a little tighter before lifting himself up, cookie in his mouth like she had done earlier, and held his head right above hers, the cookie gently pressed against her lips. Levi couldn't meet her gaze and she swore she could feel the heat radiating from his face, but she raised her head to take a bite from the offered sweet.
Crumbles rained down onto her face and she laughed, bringing up a hand to swipe them away causing Levi to shove the rest of the cookie into his mouth not knowing what else to do with it and not wanting to drop any more crumbs on her.
"It was supposed to be romantic, I'm sorry I messed it up," she could hear the pout in his voice. Looping her arms around his shoulders, MC pulled herself up to kiss him on the cheek, his skin warm against her lips.
"Romance is for boomers and normies. You're adorable and literally perfect the way you are." Levi groaned and leaned forward, burying his face against her neck, his chest rumbling as he tried not to whine.
The two of them shifted their positions again with practiced ease learned from maneuvering around in his narrow bathtub bed. Her ear against his chest listening to the rhythm of his heart beat and his arm resting gently on her upper back. She could feel his hand ghosting over her arm, still showing his shy, hesitant nature.
"Do you want to talk about it? This morning I mean." She felt him tense up and moved her hand from under her chin to splay her fingers gently on his chest to which he flinched from the contact. "We don't have to if you don't want to, I just want to make sure you're okay. You weren't online all day." Her voice got quieter the longer she spoke until the last sentence was mumbled.
"Eh? I bet you jumped around all my accounts to see if I'd been active." MC shrunk down trying to make herself smaller and he let out a laugh. "You did? Oh you totally did! Let me guess, DevilTube, Devilgram, Devilbook, Devcord, don't tell me you also checked Devtrest? Man I haven't been on that one in ages!!" Levi continued laughing and MC playfully smacked her hand on his chest with a scoff, her face burning as he teased her.
"And you even made me cookies too?" Levi sighed and wrapped his arms around her in a hug, squeezing her for a few seconds before pulling away. A hand lingered on her shoulder made her heart swoon. "I just," he started before stopping short, trying to collect and organize his thoughts and she waited patiently as he knew she would.
"You're so patient with me, I'm, I should be able to show you off to my brothers, to the world like you deserve. I should be confident enough to announce that we're, y-you know, t...to..., GAH! I can't even say it! I'm sorry MC, that I'm so use-"
"I don't think so," MC snapped back and pushed herself up to straddle him, smooshing his cheeks together to make fish lips, effectively cutting him off. "Do you remember what we talked about?" Levi looked away and huffed an exhale through his nose. "About being nice to ourselves?" MC still had a hold on his face squishing his cheeks together so he wasn't able to vocally respond but he huffed again before nodding slowly. She released his cheeks and patted his head, watching him expectantly. It was a battle they had frequently, waiting for the other to break first, but he always caved.
"Fine, fine, I give in, you win." As part of their agreement, whenever they caught each other saying something negative or self-depreciating, the one that was caught has to then say a compliment about themselves. "Ah, I'm Ruri-chan's number one fan!" Levi laughed and MC playfully huffed in response before standing and leaving the bathtub bed.
Levi peeked his head over the rim of the tub, worried he'd actually upset her, his eyes following as she walked to his desk and spotted the plate of cookies. He smacked his lips relishing in the sweet aftertaste and his stomach growled signaling it hadn't had a morsel of food all day. Pulling himself out of the tub, Levi padded over next to her and sat down in his chair.
Waiting until he got comfortable, MC sat down in his lap, facing him, and wrapped her arms around his torso, nuzzling her face against his sternum. Levi rested his chin on the top of her head and opened up his social media accounts to catch up on notifications and news, forgetting about his hunger. Hearing his stomach rumble, MC reached over for another cookie, holding it so the glow from the computer highlighted the imprinted design on top.
"If your her number one fan, then that makes me an enabler." Confused by her words, Levi looks down at the cookie in her hand and squealed, cupping her hand holding the baked good gently like it was a precious delicacy.
"MC," he whined. "Is this from the Limited Edition Baking With Ruri-chan Rolling Pin featuring Ruri-chan and Azuki-tan in their aprons and chef hats?" The designs smiling back up at him confirmed his suspicion. "But, we went to all the stores, all the lottery tickets, how were you lucky enough to get one?" She tittered knowing he was impressed and her surprise a success.
"Someone bought one by accident not realizing the design was themed. They wanted the original Ruri-chan design and returned the limited edition one."
"What?!? That's, how does that even happen?" Levi exclaimed, confounded by the happenstance.
"The store clerk was confused too, they could have made bank if they would have sold it instead but nope; they made an even exchange. The clerk remembered how desperate we were to get one and held on to it in case we were to stop by again. Mammon and I were window shopping when the clerk flagged me down. He said by doing us this favor, he hopes we'll seek him out first for future rare merch drops."
Levi was quiet for a moment, considering the design imprinted on the homemade baked good. His free hand lifted, running his fingers along her neck, urging her to pull back and she followed suit, her eyes blinking wide up at the otaku. Levi's hand held her head steady, his finger under her chin, blinking slowly and a soft smile parting his lips.
"I change my answer, I'm your number one fan." Her heart skipped a beat as he pressed his lips softly against hers and she melted. Their flushed cheeks mirrored each other and as she found herself dazed, he realized what he'd done and his face burned hotter. Looking everywhere else, Levi's attention was brought back to the cookie and he quickly took a bite as a distraction. Actually tasting and enjoying the sweet, he let out a delighted hum while he chewed and MC laughed in response, grabbing another cookie for herself to eat.
"You know," he spoke up after finishing his cookie, "I'm a pretty big fan of these cookies too."
"You're not gonna kiss the cookie too, right? Cause that'd be weird." MC snorted with laughter and Levi sputtered before following her in laughter feeling the weight of the day, of the morning, finally drift away.

Evie hung one of the last dresses on the transportation rack, when a knock sounded on her door. She pushed the dresses apart for her to step on the other side and called out; “come in!” Doug entered moments later, a smile on his face.
“Hey! How was the camping trip?” Evie turned to him with furrowed brows.
“C-Camping?” Doug's smile diminished and he looked at her slightly confused.
“yeah?” He tilted his head at Evie “Carlos and Jay said you and the others went on a last-minute camping trip to relax?...is-is that not what you did?” Evie sighed, the questions running through her mind stopping as she realized what had happened.
“oh, um, yeah they lied to you” Doug looked a bit offended “you see, Ben was kidnapped on the isle” now he looked alarmed “let me finish, we saved him and saved Auradon” Doug let out a small sigh of relief and took Evie's hands.
“is everyone okay?” Evie looked off to the side for a moment “you hesitated what happened” She grimaced and shook her head a bit.
“um, well…you know how our parents are kinda pieces of shit?” Doug looked surprised at the swear but nodded “well… Harry's dad is…kinda really bad and…that didn’t turn out well on Harry's side…that’s all I’m saying” she gave a small smile and turned, grabbing some of Dizzy’s accessories that she had brought back with her and sliding some on her arm to carry easier.
“Is he okay now?” Doug asked quietly, stepping to her side and leaning into her field of vision.
“yes” Evie assured him “Mal healed him when we left the isle and he’s with (y/n) now, he should be just fine for cotillion tomorrow~” Doug nodded and gave Evie a small smile.
“that’s good, you had me really worried for a moment there, was anyone else hurt?” Evie thought for a moment then shook her head.
“Mal has a cut on her cheek but that was the worst of our end thankfully.” She gave another smile and looked back down at the accessories “you know…while I was there…I realized something” Doug put his hand on her shoulder “I was lucky enough to be given a chance, and now I need to give someone else a chance too” her mind flashed back to five months ago when Harry had asked Ben to bring Uma over, and maybe after cotillion she could ask about Dizzy?
“My uncle bashful used the say that” Doug switched the topic, sensing Evie was not in the mood to talk about what had happened on the isle with him. Evie smiled, happy with the sudden change and turned to him, her brow raised a bit.
“did he?” Doug nodded, then pursed his lips a bit.
“but, really-really quietly” Evie laughed, spinning around to face the transportation rack and gesturing to it.
“come on, we have dresses to deliver~!” Doug happily obliged to her non-verbal request and moved to the rack, pushing it as Evie pulled it out of the room.
-
Two hours later, after every dress had been delivered, Evie returned to her room and grabbed her last two outfits she had to deliver.
A red rose gown and a red and black suit.
She handed the outfits to Doug and dug into her bag again, finding the red ruby earrings with small crossbones skulls hanging from the top. “perfect” she muttered, carefully holding them in her hand and leading Doug to (y/n)s room.
She knocked on the door, humming as a couple of moments passed by and no response came. She knocked again and sighed when again no response came, she gently opened the door and cooed as she looked inside the room.
On (y/n)s bed was her and Harry, curled up together under her many blankets as soft yellow fairy lights hung above them, the title screen of a movie playing on her tv.
Evie snuck into the room, gesturing Doug to be quiet as she set (y/n)s new earrings on her desk and motioned for Doug to hang hers and Harry's outfits on her closet door.
Evie spotted (y/n)s notepad on her desk and wrote out a small thank you note, pinning it to her corkboard that hung just next to her desk.
She ushered Doug out and turned, smiling at the sleeping couple, and slowly closed the door behind her, shushing it as it shut with a loud click.
“There we go” Evie sighed, turning to Doug and wrapping her arm around his “I’m starving, how about you?”
“Food sounds good” he chuckled, guiding Evie to the cafeteria.

Carlos watched from afar as Mal swung her feet just of the gazebo floor, her toes just grazing the cool lake water. He froze as she turned to look at him, her emerald green eyes softening and she invited him closer, turning back to the water as he did so and sat down beside her.
Mal laid her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes, while she and Carlos hadn’t been friends before Auradon, she was glad that she had him by her side now.
“so…you broke up with Ben?” Carlos started, giving Mal a soft smile as she looked up at him. She slowly looked back down at the water as she thought of what to say.
“I…yeah” she sighed, letting her weight fully lean onto Carlos, who lifted his arm and wrapped it around her shoulder. “I’m just…not ready for the relationship he wants…I know I hide my feelings and shit but…I really don’t know how he expected me to just, be good with all of this Auradon lady stuff within six months…I feel like a failure” Carlos let out a low hum, squeezing Mal's shoulder.
“well, you aren’t, you did your best, and your best was good enough, you just found out that that life…isn’t going to work out for you, it goes against your mental wiring, yes maybe you could adjust to it but would you be happy with it?” Mal pursed her lips, Carlos shook her a bit “well?”
“no” Mal muttered, picking at the loose thread on her pants “no I wouldn’t be happy like that…Ben…he said he wanted me…the real me, the isle me-wait…no he wouldn’t want her, she's rude as fuck” Mal smiled at the snort that erupted from Carlos, before it slipped off as she remembered something. Mal stopped Carlos as he was about to speak again “Hey…I did this for Evie but…I wanted to do the same for you” He looked at her confused “I’m sorry for the way I treated you when we were on the isle” he looked off to the side for a moment before he realized what she meant.
“oh! Yeah, it's no biggie” he attempted to brush it off but Mal adamantly shook her head.
“No! it's not “no biggie!” I treated you, Evie, and sometimes Jay, horribly! Even after we became friends! You were and are deserving of kindness, and I’m sorry that I was so fucked up that I was the rottenest little brat to you” Carlos stared at her with wide eyes. “what?”
His shocked look melted into a comforting grin “Thank you Mal” he wrapped his arms around her, pulling into a tight hug that only lasted a moment “sorry, just remembered; you’re not really affectionate” he laughed, grinning wider as Mal giggled along.
“it’s-its fine when it comes from you three” Mal hummed, turning to look back at the lake.
“sooo back to the Ben break up talk?” Carlos tried, smirking as Mal blew a raspberry “come on, you need to talk it out with someone, or else you’re gonna explode keeping it all bottled up.”
“…I’m happy I broke up with him” Mal spilled, not looking at Carlos as his brows shot up “I thought about our future and I realized if I kept doing what I was doing, and we kept going with how we were…neither of us would have been happy…I need to learn to love myself before I can love him properly, because…if (y/n)s forced quote an’ unquote therapy sessions” Carlos laughed at that “taught me anything. It’s that…I rely on someone else's love to measure my self-worth”
Carlos hummed, squeezing Mal's shoulder again “that’s not a good thing”
“no!” Mal huffed, running her hands through her hair and pulling at the roots “it isn’t! I've been trying to earn my mother's love for 16 years, then I just hop to doing so much bullshit to make sure Ben will love me! I dyed my hair blonde, I dressed in those itchy dresses, I dropped my entire personality for all that! And-and it wasn’t good, I felt like I was slipping away Carlos” Mal sobbed, tears trailing down her cheeks as she finally broke “I don’t even remember what I’m supposed to act like without all that because I spent so long doing it I just-I forgot what being ME felt like” Carlos fully wrapped his arms around Mal and pulled her tight to his side.  “I-I know it sounds like I’m being pathetic and having a fucking pity party but I’m just so fucking scared Carlos” Mal whimpered, throwing her arms around Carlos’ torso and pushing her cheek against his shoulder “on the isle my life was commanded by my mother and my identity was pleasing her, and here my life has been being Ben’s girlfriend and pleasing the people of Auradon so they think I’m not some villain whose just after Ben because he’s king…I-I do really like Ben Carlos”
Mal sniffed, pulling back one of her arms and wipe her nose “I do, it's just that…being with him hasn’t helped me move on from my mother bullshit and im-gah!” Mal let out a yell, pulling back from Carlos and burying her face in her hands “I’m having a fucking identity crisis because of my fucking mother! Why can’t she just leave me alone! Why can't all this dumb shit be left behind five months ago! Why do I still have to deal with it?!” Carlos let Mal rant, rubbing her back as she broke down.
“because life is unfair that way” Carlos sighed “Mal I know exactly what you're dealing with right now” Mal peeked out from her fingers, her eyes shining “I still have nightmares from living in my mother’s closet, getting trapped in the bear traps on the ground, or when she would burn me with her cigarette…even ones were she sends dogs at me to kill me…I still hear her voice in my head, telling me I’m worthless, that I’ll never be better than dog chow, my only use was being her servant” Carlos swallowed down the lump in his throat “but I know she's wrong, I’m not anything she says. I’m a tech genius, I've made several computers on the isle just from scraps, I've enhanced my 3D printer to be the best in Auradon, faster than any other and the quality is still top-notch, I've made a tiny little device that was able to make a hole in the barrier, I've gotten offers to work for Tony fucking Stark!” Mal gasped, reaching forward to grab Carlos' shoulders in excitement.
“holy shit what!? When? How? Why?!” Carlos smiled, prying off her grip.
“I knew you all were distracted by something else, especially you, so I didn’t want to make you stressed by my stuff either, it was two months ago. I didn’t take the offer because I want to finish school, but the offer still stands when I graduate in two years” Mal grinned, but it turned to a pout as Carlos gave her a look “Now back to the original topic, I’m not letting you deviate from it, you need to let it all out”
Mal stared at him for a moment before shrugging “I…feel like I already did…Auradon is stressful, my mother is the base of all my mental shit, and I’m not ready to be in a relationship with the dude I love because until I can love myself and learn not to rely on others value of me as my own value I can't be with him in a way that won't hurt him” Carlos slowly grinned “what?” “you said you love Ben~” he teased, laughing as Mal turned red and smacked him.
“I did not!!” she screeched, yelping as Carlos half tackled her and pulled her into an arm lock “Let me go you heathen!”
“you love Ben~ you love Ben~” Carlos sang, laughing as she tried to smack at his face “Come on, pixie! Let's get you back to the dorms, I think you need a nap”
“Don’t call me pixie!”
“How bout gremlin?”
“Carlos!!”
-
Chad carefully pulled the 3D printed copy of the king's crown from the printer and pressed a kiss to the emblem on the front. “Finally,~” He walked over to the mirror that was installed in Jay's standing dresser and carefully perched the crown on his head, smiling as his full cotillion outfit came to light.
He looked like a king~
He tilted the crown down a bit and laughed, posing in the mirror “oh what's that? Why no Audrey, I haven’t chosen my queen yet~” He purred to the fake Audrey in his mind. He turned and started to walk away before spinning back around to pose again “why no Audrey-”
Suddenly his phone rang, and he turned, raising his brow as he walked over to his phone “who could be calling me?”
Caller ID - Audrey <3
Chad let out a high-pitched scream of excitement, dropping his phone to the floor as he gripped his head “ahhAH! Audrey!!!”
“chad!” Carlos groaned, glaring as the other dived to the floor for his phone, and shushed him “Chad! This is my room chad!”
Chad shushed him again, making Carlos roll his eyes. Chad hit the answer button on his phone “Audrey?”
“Hey Chad um, I’m kind of stuck in Sherwood forest, my tire went flat. Could, could you come help me?”
“yeah of course!” Chad covered the mic and turned back to Carlos “she got a flat tire in Sherwood forest and she wants me to come fix it~” Carlos squinted a bit and looked at Chad with an odd look.
“that’s six hours away”
Chad looked at him as if what he said wasn’t a long road trip. “Really? Only six?” he turned back to his phone and put it back to his ear “I’m gonna be there faster than I thought”
“Thanks Chad, I was going to come to cotilli-“ he pulled the phone away and pressed a kiss to the screen, hanging up on Audrey and starting to walk out the door when Carlos stopped him.
“Ah-My printer my crown” Carlos took the crown off Chad's head, who chuckled and gestured back from the printer to the crown before shrugging it off.
“I’m coming Audrey!” he ran down the halls towards his car, leaving a bewildered Carlos in his dorm.
“wow,” Carlos snorted, shaking his head and walking into the room, tossing the crown on Jay's bed. Carlos flopped down on his bed, Dude hopping up next to him moments later “these last two days have been crazy huh?”
“You can say that again” Dude snorted, halfway crawling on Carlos' chest and laying his head down “Nap time?”
“Nap time” Carlos chuckled, pulling his pillow over his face to block out the afternoon sun and sighed.
-end of part 14-
yep, part 14, we’re almost to Cotillion guys! also yep, Doug does not accuse Evie of cheating on him even though he had no reason to do so in the movie and he shows concern over Evie and her friends safety when she tells him about the isle~ what?? no~ this isn't a dig at Doug's awful D2 writing!! how could you accuse me of such a thing~! (Doug had alot of potential but like Mal it got ruined in the second movie and he was pushed as a full on background character in the third) also MORE CARLOS CONTENT~ yes he is smart boi and deserves that recognition and yes, the avengers exist in this universe. hopefully that Mal talk didnt sound like a pity party.

“K - THE FIRST STORY”
CHAPTER 4: BLACK OR WHITE (Complete)
* K - The First Story (List of Chapters) * Projects & Chapters
Translation: Naru-kun Raws: Ridia
There is a system that has never been used in a formula. It would have been better if he hadn't used it, but now is the time to move it.
"All eyes and ears."
Awashima agreed with Munakata's instructions.
"Yes. If it can't be handled, we need eyes and ears. We have to handle it properly."
Munakata smiled at her, she is his right arm, who had a straight face and praised her as an evil executive.
"You are a wonderful person, Awashima-kun."
Munakata looks at the puzzle at hand.
The complete picture of the puzzle is visible. No matter what kind of puzzle it was, Munakata never wondered which piece to put where. What should be to where it should be. By doing that, messy things are put together in the right way. So Munakata enjoys the puzzle.
But now, the full picture of the incident Munakata is facing is not seen. Also, there is only one piece left in Munakata's hand for Suoh.
He picked up one of the Sansui painting puzzle pieces scattered on the office desk, and Munakata looked at it through the lens of his glasses.

Kusanagi received several report calls and made some instructional calls inside the HOMRA bar counter.
"Oh, Bando. Are you aware? Yes, then join Dewa and head to the location on the map that I just sent."
"That is the seller's hidden store."
"Oh. It's the one with the mobster who was in charge of the arms trade. It seems like he died about ten days before Totsuka was killed."
Kusanagi's words made Bando groan over the phone.
"So that damn guy killed him and Totsuka-san?"
"No, that's not the case. The vendor was used by the criminal and murdered... there is a good chance. And recently, there have been a number of other mysterious misconduct."
"Ah, I'm sure you suddenly heard those rumors. Strange urban legends have become popular, like the fact that there are criminal groups that hold people and sell them, and where they meet gods."
Bando suddenly makes a hasty voice.
"Kusanagi-san, do you think the criminal who killed Totsuka-san is involved in the disappearances?"
"The story is a possibility. At least, there is no doubt that the arms dealer who disappeared this time did come into contact with the criminal in some way. Anyway, check the dealer's hidden warehouse and look for clues."
"Understood! I'm heading there now!"
"Okay, be careful."
As soon as the call hangs up, the Kusanagi PDA announces a new call as if it were waiting for it. When he answered, it was Chitose, who is currently in charge of providing information and gathering information online.
According to his report, the video of the criminal on the network has already been removed and appeared to be treated as a naughty video. It seems that people's interests are turning in another direction after rumors that the murder video was fabricated and posted were stopped.
It would be the instruction for "Scepter 4". Kusanagi is impressed that the work is quite fast.
However, at the time, the video was viewed by many people in various parts of Tokyo, focusing on Shizume. Some of the videos themselves have been uploaded to the "Jungle" site. There should be a reaction in the future, as it can be a prize.
Kusanagi hung up when he said in a casual tone that there was no problem. He stared at his hand a bit, thinking that the PDA would start ringing, but it seemed that the PDA in his hand had finally decided to rest, and he remained silent.
Phew, he takes a little breath.
The situation is not good. Although the criminal appeared once, he disappeared again, and also...
"It's finally becoming a hassle to get to that fox."
Miwa Ichigen, the predecessor "Colorless King", said that he only had two clan members in his life.
One of them was born nearly ten years ago, and Kuro Yatogami was the only remaining vassal.
Since Miwa Ichigen basically lived a life as a retreat in the mountains, Yatogami Kuro rarely appeared in the village, but it is said that his power as a clan member and the dexterity of his arm and swordplay, which he has shown several times, that is perfectly maintained.
It would be difficult for Kusanagi to cross evenly when he suddenly appeared and saw how he was treating Yata like a child.
However, he heard that he would not use any other power other than for Miwa. That is why it bears the name "black dog" with the meaning of loyal black dog.
He wonders if Kuro will move with the will of Miwa, who died, or something like that. After dying, serve the next "Colorless King"? Either way, it must be a hindrance for them.
"Uh, I don't have much time."
Anna, who was sitting at the table in the tent, turned to Kusanagi in response to the words that had come out of his mouth.
Anna spread the map on the table, rolled a marble on it, and continued searching for the criminal with her sensitive skill. Kusanagi laughs at Anna inadvertently, acknowledging that he has cut off his focus and probably worried Anna.
At that moment, the door of the bar opened with a loud noise.
"Gah! Yata-san!"
"Sorry! You said something stupid!"
Kamamoto and Yata rushed into the bar as they broke into a fuss. Yata, in the form of bright red rage, hurls Kamamoto's plump giant.
A large body flew into the air towards Kusanagi, hitting the counter.
It was unfortunate because the quality of Yata's small body, Kamamoto's heavy weight, and his stone-hard head were all combined.
Kusanagi's beloved bar counter is chipped by a head shove similar to a Kamamoto missile. Kusanagi screamed.
Yata attacks Kamamoto, leaving behind the broken counter. Kusanagi moaned low, "Guys..." while shaking.
He grabs the head of the slowly moving person who hurt his beloved counter with his right hand and the other with his left hand, and squeezes them mercilessly.
"Sorry it was not my intention!"
"Kusanagi-san! It will seriously break! My head will break!"
"Huh? Guys, what is this counter? It's expensive because a British pub gave it to us. It's a historic gem drenched in the scent of beer and cigarettes, and the hustle and bustle of drunkenness."
With both of them screaming and hanging from their hands, they scream and preach the weight of their sins.
"What is the cause of this fight, guys?"
Looking into his eyes, Yata complained as he hovered.
"It's because of Mikoto-san!"
"What is Mikoto-san doing?"
"This guy said that Mikoto-san gave up on the blues! Kusanagi-san, you should also punish him!"
"Oh, no! No! I wonder why our king was captured without any resistance!"
"Hey! Isn't that a turning point?"
"It's totally different!"
That's it.
The appearance of the two people making noise is like a fight of elementary school students, but it is not clear how they feel.
Kamamoto's doubts are natural, and although they are not mentioned, many of the "Homura" members are probably thinking. Yata himself, who is angry with him, must have the same anxiety and doubts.
Suoh must have an idea, and since he told himself that he shouldn't hesitate, he was so angry at Kamamoto that he raised his doubts about Suoh.
Kusanagi laughed a bit guiltily, saying they were too honest, and then deliberately laughed out loud.
He lets go of the two surprised heads, hugs them and whispers in the ear.
"Do you want to know?"
"Eh?"
"Why was Mikoto-san caught on purpose?"
Yata was confused and said "Yes."
Alright, Kusanagi released them from his arms and made them "repent" on the counter that they had hurt, so that they could first reflect on them.
Kusanagi was pleased with the appearance of the two people bowing his head towards the counter in silence, in the atmosphere of a completely scolded elementary school student, and decided to take a seat.
"Well, that guy is kept as that natural disaster all the time. In some cases, the 'Blue King' must be clear about it. What if that happens? Will it make it easier for us to move? He got caught to free us."
He can see Yata's face bright and clear. Seeing the expression, which seemed overwhelmed by anger, anxiety and dissatisfaction, repainted with joy and pride, the guilt ends in Kusanagi again.
Yata stretched out his chest, smiled boyishly, and shook Kamamoto's shoulders.
"Hey, you said that! I'm going to find that rotten outer path and the fox again! I'll live up to Mikoto-san's expectations!"
Yata, who is completely fine, urges Kamamoto to leave the bar.
Kusanagi encouraged him slightly, saying, "I charge you, Yata-chan."
When Yata and Kamamoto noisily exit, the bar fills with suffocating quiet.
"Liar."
Anna said that like a slap. Kusanagi smiles bitterly at her painful words who silently heard the exchange between Kusanagi and Yata.
"Well I'm not saying… there are some aspects like that."
The words he just said to Yata and others are not lies. However, for that reason alone, Suoh would not have chosen a way to chain Munakata.
Kusanagi glances at Anna. Anna looked at the map in front of her with a doll face.

Inside the lunch box, alongside the white rice, the colorful and well-balanced garnishes are well packaged. The boy thinks it's like being full of "happiness".
The boy loves it because it looks like the treasure chest with an unbalanced brown lunch that is filled with "special" items like meat and fried foods that are always blessed with recommended side dishes. However, he was impressed by the desperate lunch that Kuro prepared as a harmonious world.
From the lunch box, the boy takes a plump, beautiful yellow egg with chopsticks and puts it in his mouth. The sweetness spread through his mouth. He asked Kuro to do it yesterday, the rolled egg was delicious too, but the sweet flavored egg grill is good too.
While trying with a smile, he heard a clear voice next to him.
"Shiro has his own lunch with side dishes!"
Kukuri opened her eyes and looked towards the shrine that surrounded the lunch box with Kuro and Neko in the coffee shop. For whatever reason, he have two lunches on his hands.
He decided to advance through school with his own face, saying he was a "transfer student."
This school is located on an island, isolated from the outside, and basically he cannot enter the site without a pass. However, probably because they were relieved by safety, the people on the school island were enthusiastic about the safety aspect. Even the seemingly suspicious Kuro and Neko are accepted as "I'm a school person because I'm here with a natural face."
By the way, he managed to calm down Neko, who doesn't like clothes, and put her in the Ashinaka school girls uniform (when the boy praised Neko in uniform like "cute!) However, Kuro is still in his uniform. Also, even though he had a sword on his waist, the people around him naturally accepted Kuro's existence, probably because the boy was with him.
Kukuri looked at the contents of the boy's lunch box with a surprised look, and the boy put his hand on his cheek.
"This time it is my beloved wife's lunch."
"If you just say stupid things, I'll stick my tongue out at you."
Kuro draws his sword threatening to cut off the boy's tongue.
As for Neko, he has already eaten Kuro's lunch, and she looks at Kukuri's lunch and makes a voice that waits, "Are you hungry?" Kukuri opened the lunch box and asked, "Do you want to eat?" She opened the lunch box, but for some reason there was no main food, such as fried or roasted salmon, and various kinds of vegetable side dishes such as slow-cooked dishes, salads, and hot vegetables were packed in the lunch box. She wonders if she is on a diet.
Despite the interaction between Kukuri and Neko, the boy looks towards a PDA.
"Oh, what's up? It's different from the school's designated PDA."
Kukuri said, paying attention to the boy's PDA.
The boy's PDA has disappeared, therefore he borrows Kuro's. By the way, a handmade plush doll hangs from Kuro's PDA. When he told him that he thought it was a hobby that did not suit his face, it seems that it is a doll that he made himself, imitating the appearance of Miwa Ichigen, and from there he began to sigh the story of how wonderful Ichigen was. So sorry to ask. Frankly speaking, Kuro's emotion when he talks about "Ichigen" is very disgusting.
The boy squeezed Kuro's PDA and made another comment.
"It's from my wife."
"Do you really want to separate yourself from your tongue?"
Kuro draws his sword again threatening to cut off his tongue. He's not sure if he's unexpectedly good or if he's really mad, because he can't even pull a joke, but his reaction when he hit him is a bit funny.
After a little tantrum, Kuro regains his mind and turns to the boy looking at the PDA.
"Did you find out something?"
"No, it is an unclear image..."
What the boy sees on Kuro's PDA is that video of a person, who looks exactly like the boy, killing a person.
This was transferred from his classmate Mishina. He said he found this video on a website. With the curiosity and drive of a healthy high school boy, Mishina is good at watching erotic videos and images, avoiding the security restrictions placed on school-designated PDAs. Some of his classmates also have part of the videos that Mishina found. Yesterday, Mishina intercepted the boy in an uncrowded corridor and told him a secret story: "I found a bad video yesterday."
Although the boy does not have a young and perky sex drive like Mishina, he looks at Mishina's PDA with the feeling of "Well, if he wants to show it, I can't wait to see it." But, it was not an erotic video.
It is the video of a murder that was shown on a huge monitor in Shizume.
However, Mishina believed that this video was false. It seems to be treated like a naughty video even on the net. However, the criminal's face looked exactly like the boy, so he became interesting and came to show him.
Mishina laughed mockingly, saying, "If you did something wrong, should you be selfish?"
In fact, the boy cannot tell if it is a fake video. But if the person was actually killed and this was false, it would probably mean that the real criminal had redesigned the footage to replace himself with the boy. However, this video was taken by the murderer himself, and from what the video looks like, it appears that it was taken with a retro camera rather than a PDA. The video itself is also owned by "Homura", whose partner is the murdered person. Could the criminal have tampered with the video? If that is not possible, is it the crime of a person with the appearance of the boy? Is that possible?
The doubts have no end, but what the boy must do is not pursue the truth, but prove his innocence.
The boy never does. The boy who lives in the dormitory has rarely left Gakuenjima except to run errands these days.
The boy looks at the picture. It says "12.07 23:45". It's been a week. Of course, the boy does not remember leaving Gakuenjima at that time.
"Are you seeing it multiple times?"
Kukuri looks mysteriously at the boy's hands.
"Hmm, this is a mysterious video delivered by Mishina."
"Eh, Mishina-kun?"
Kukuri overreacted to Mishina's name. The cheeks are slightly tinted red. The boy suddenly remembered the incident that would save himself at Kukuri's appearance.
++++++++++
Fushimi snorted as he watched the scenes projected on the many monitors in the information room.
Each image in each location is displayed one after another on the monitor. Not only the city's surveillance cameras were collected and analyzed, but also all kinds of data such as personal camera images of PDAs and the content of private communications.
Knowledge of the system. As long as the system is up and running, there will be no privacy for the people of this country.
It was a system that prioritized investigations into people's human rights, which could be triggered by the special "Real Level" information disclosure request issued only in emergencies where an undetermined number of lives are in danger. Since the approval of the activation also requires the permission of the Prime Minister, the order of the "Golden King" Kokujoji Daikaku has also been obtained.
He doesn’t want to activate it to find a child.
Fushimi was alone in his heart and ironically distorted his mouth while looking at the private lives of strangers.
"It is quite a masterpiece."
"Help me if you have free time."
Awashima takes Fushimi's words as dislike without raising her eyebrows.
"I am not free."
Fushimi looks back at his desk and slides his finger over the keyboard.
On Fushimi's desk monitor, there was a video of the murder posted by "Homura." A bullet was fired into the roof of the Hirasaka building, in the Western District, at 11:45 p.m. on December 7.
Tatara Totsuka was not good for Fushimi. When he was in "Homura", even if he showed that he didn't like that Fushimi didn't get used to it, he didn't care and felt like he would stop him and see through the line that he really didn't want to step on. He saw it with his eyes. It was not good for those eyes.
He was a man of the opposite nature to Fushimi, and he always laughed with a face that everything he saw was funny.
"Totsuka-san, you are dead."
A whisper came from Fushimi's mouth.
Fushimi stared at the image of the man whose face was always smiling, falling on the concrete without force.
Suddenly something happened. Akiyama, who was doing the compilation work, called out to Awashima in a whispering voice, "Lieutenant Awashima!" The voice turned the eyes of everyone in the briefing room towards Akiyama.
There was a child on the monitor that Akiyama showed. The facial recognition matches the criminal boy that Fushimi just confirmed. Fushimi's expression also tightened slightly.
"Do you know where he is going?"
"Yes, please wait a moment."
Akiyama immediately responds to Awashima's question and runs his finger across the keyboard. Review the points on the web in chronological order. He was at the foot of a bridge where he is captured by Shizume's surveillance camera, an ordinary PDA camera trying to capture the confusion caused by "Homura's" people, and finally the boy.
A connecting bridge that spans from Tokyo Bay and leads to an artificial island. The boy goes over the bridge and enters the island. That was the last appearance of the boy found by "Yuishiki" (Wisdom).
Awashima looks at the map of the place where the boy was last seen.
"The Ashinaka school island?"
It is a gigantic school that is very independent and does not allow outsiders to enter easily, partly because the whole island is one site.
He hears Awashima mutter under her breath, saying it was troublesome.

Anna finally did.
Yata was running. Anger and fighting spirit burn the flames of the body. From that day on, he couldn't find a place to hit and was swirling in his stomach, turning Yata into a fiery bullet with the target he should be heading for now.
A motorcycle gets next to him and they run side by side, they seem to fly in the landscape around them. There was a huge body that he knew on the motorcycle.
"Yata-san! What's wrong?"
"Oh, Kamamoto! Very good, you are coming too!"
"Where you go?! What happened?!"
Yata looked down the road and told him to sharpen his eyes and growl.
"We're going to the school island."
"Gakuenjima? The school island in Tokyo Bay?"
"Just a moment ago, Anna's skill finally found out where it was!"
Kamamoto took a deep breath.
Anna is a member of the "Homura" clan, but has more power as a Strain than the power of fire. She has always been searching for the criminal's whereabouts with her sensitive ability.
It finally showed results.
Yata remembers the bar just before. Anna spread the map on the table and stared at the many red marbles rolling on it. Its responsiveness detects the criminal's signal, and the marbles move and gather towards a point on the map. Beneath the bright red marble is an artificial island in Tokyo Bay.
“Here.”, Anna's transparent voice said like a decree. The criminal is there.
Yata holds his hand tightly in his fist. That night, it was a hand holding a bloody body. This hand knows the cold body that fell on the rooftop in the middle of the night and the warmth of the blood that was spilled.
Yata gritted his back teeth tightly and said, "Kamamoto, take me." He put his hand on Kamamoto's shoulder and jumped into the back seat without slowing the skateboard propelled by his skill. At the same time, he kicked the skateboard and lift it to catch it in the air.
"Speed it up! I'm going to Gakuenjima to kill that damn guy!"
"Hey!"
Kamamoto twists the throttle grip to accelerate the motorcycle. Grasping Kamamoto's thick back, Yata puts his strength into his arm holding the skateboard.
"Wait, you fucking bastard!", he whispers into his mouth.

In the locker room, which was simply installed by pulling a curtain in the classroom, the boy dressed in a khaki kimono and looked at the borrowed PDA. The video plays on the PDA.
“The date shown in that video that was shown in the city was at 11:45 p.m. on December 7th. Given the distance between the school and the crime scene, it is not possible to move in an hour."
"And so..."
Kuro was also dressed in Japanese clothes. With a short sleeve and a hakama, the original long black hair hairstyle collected and the sword attached to the waist match, and it looks like a samurai.
The boy wears a yellow garment over a khaki kimono. It's a hand-sewn costume for a female student, but it's pretty cool.
"Yes. If it is proven that I was at school around 11:45 PM on the 7th, my alibi will be established."
"But you're in a single room. If you slept alone in the room, it wouldn't be an alibi."
Kuro turned his eyes to Neko. Neko also wears kimono. Although she was wearing it, she didn't seem to know how to wear the kimono, so he could see the white skin with the front wide open.
Neither the boy nor Kuro did not change their complexion because they got used to seeing Neko naked. Perhaps he couldn't see Neko playing with the obi in her hand, and when she approached him, he wrapped the obi around Neko's body with one hand as if he was gathering an old newspaper.
"I'm telling you! I don't accept this testimony as an alibi!"
"Kurosuke, you are stupid! Shiro has been with me since I met him! Wagahai's Shiro is a good Shiro!"
"Shut up. You're saying you don't trust me. If I find out you were responsible for this, don't worry. I'll be prepared."
The boy opened his mouth sweetly, looking at Kuro and Neko as if they were really like a dog and a cat.
"Well, it's my fault. That day was the day that preparations for the cultural festival were allowed at night, and as I recalled earlier, it was a day where there were many incidents."
"Incidents?"
The boy trusted the mysterious Kuro.
"So there must be someone who can prove that I was there too."
The boy used a bird hat to finish. A beard is also attached to the mouth.
"Hmm! How many times do you change your clothes while chatting!"
Feeling free to open the curtains on the simple wardrobe, Kukuri stuck her face inside.
"Oh, it looks good! Shiro-kun, you are a valuable person to look good like Ebisu-sama even if you are not fat at all."
The boy, Kuro, and Neko were forced to try on the costumes they would wear to the main event of the school festival. On the night of the school festival, they will wear these costumes, carry a sword and pull a horse to parade to the shrine behind the school.
The Ashinaka school school festival has a mysterious flavor, in part because it overlaps with the annual shrine festival.
Kukuri was in a good mood when she saw the three people wearing costumes, and while saying to Neko, "Wagahai-chan is a beautiful woman!" On the first day, Neko who hated wearing those clothes and had trouble with the boy's hands, was also happy to be told that she was a beautiful woman.
Well, the boy changed his expression.
He has been living at school almost normally for the past half day, but his life is involved. He has to ask someone to testify that he was at this school that day.
The boy saw Kikuri. The girl who started the confusion that night.
Yes, it started with a runaway boy who fell in love with her.
--- Testimony of the classmate, Sota Mishina.
Oh sure, it was around 11:45 PM on December 7th. There is no doubt that the preparations for the night of the school festival had just finished.
He climbed the stairs of the clock tower with the determination of a generation.
His heart was making a loud noise and his hands were sweaty and slimy. Still, he did not stop climbing the stairs. He is also a man. He will do what he has decided to do.
When he climbed to the top of the clock tower, he could see the view of Gakuenjima. Everyone is working hard to get ready for the school festival, which is coming up two weeks later, and the huge objects that he put in the yard look pretty good from the top, and the fire from the PDA that he plans to use at the night festival is beautiful.
He was thinking about that as he watched the situation below and was blown away by the cold midnight winter wind, he saw Yukizome coming. As a student council officer, she tells them to finish getting ready for the night. His reading that the last time she would come to the clock tower would be about 15 minutes before the date changed was correct.
Yukizome spoke a word or two with Inaba, who was pulling a rope, and came to the front of the clock tower. A moment before she tried to give instructions to everyone around her, he took a deep breath and yelled from the bottom of his stomach.
"Yukizome Kukuri-san! It's true love at first sight! Please go out with me!"
Everyone in the place fell silent and was looking towards the clock tower where he was.
Yukizome had the same lazy face as everyone else, but gradually her face turned red and she started to panic. It was cute, but she was so nervous that she was ashamed, so it wasn't the case.
After making a panicky movement, Yukizome turned to him and bent her head with force and bend her waist at a right angle.
"I'm sorry!"
He knew it. He was honestly thinking there was no pulse.
But he liked her for a long time, all year long. When he entered the school for the first time, he got lost because the school is big, Yukizome called him and accompanied him to his destination.
It's too big here, but she's so cute and kind, she was love at first sight. After that, she was nice to him.
Perhaps he misunderstood and thought she also liked him a bit. Yukizome is a kind person to everyone. He knew it wasn't just for him. Even so, he still wanted her to turn around. He wanted to hold her hand and dance together at the festival that night.
The dream was shattered and he was slightly shocked and unconscious. He was sad because he was totally sorry, he was sorry for Yukizome, who shrugged with a bright red face and ran away, and was not surprised by the eyes around her. He cries and stumble back. A strange laugh escaped his mouth, although it was not strange.
What he saw was a mountain of fireworks that was scheduled to be launched from the top of the clock tower at the school festival.
Filled with sadness, shame and apology, he wanted to blow away those feelings that swirled in his chest, so he approached the fireworks with a quick movement and lit them.
"Another love has fallen!"
The fireworks went straight up the night sky and the light flowers bloomed in the black sky. It was a memorial service for his love. He is reflecting on that now.
"You mean, what is it? Why do you suddenly want to hear about my sad night?"
"Huh? You wanted to ask if I saw Shiro at the confession? Would you mind the details of the confession if you heard that?"
"Oh... I don't know!" He could only see Yukizome in his eyes.
"That's right. Mishina-kun, were you watching everyone from the clock tower? You must have seen his figure when you were crushed!"
The boy lowers the end of his eyebrows and touches Mishina's arm.
The boy, accompanied by Kuro and Neko, caught Mishina, who was the party to the incident that night, in the corner of the classroom looking for someone to testify that the boy was on campus the night of December 7. He was listening to the story. As his costumes were still being tried on, Mishina was surrounded by Ebisu, Benten, and the Samurai.
Mishina was crying, perhaps because he remembered how he felt when he lost his love as he spoke.
"Don't say crush clearly! Why are you trying to smear a person's wound with salt?"
"Because even if I ask Kukuri, it's not so much at the time, and I don't remember if I was there..."
"Did you ask Yukizome-san?"
As Mishina cries with the urge to hold his head, the boy feels a little sorry and tries to comfort him.
"But Mishina-kun, shouldn't you have made the confession a bit more normal? Is it okay? Isn't it a problem for the other person?"
He thought he was worried, but the amount of tears that had accumulated in Mishina's eyes increased.
"At first, I approached her more normally! I tried to tell her that I casually liked her! But it was amazing to feel the goodwill!"
"Ah! Kukuri, that seems pretty boring."
The boy laughed inadvertently.
"So, as impressive and dramatic as possible, a confession aimed at the suspension bridge effect..."
As he said that, Mishina held his chest as if remembering the pain of a lost love, and was screaming.
Kuro, who was listening to the story with his arms crossed at his sides, punches Mishina's back to strengthen him.
"Don't be so depressed. I think your way of declaring yourself is wonderful."
"Oh, yes. I respect the love and action of passionate young men like Mishina-kun who can make such a confession."
"You guys never comforted me, are you stupid?"
"That's not the case. I was looking at Mishina-kun, who loves a girl so much, thinking it was really amazing."
While raising his hands and calming the approaching Mishina, Kuro looked at the boy with half-eyes.
"But there seems to be no evidence that he was at the site where Mishina was."
"Eh, huh? You actually saw Mishina-kun's crush site, can you talk about the details?"
"Many students will have witnessed Mishina-kun's crush site. You can acquire as much information as you wish later."
"Crush site... stop saying crush site!"
Mishina cried out in a sad voice. Neko laughs.
"Fireworks, sunrise! It was so beautiful!"
While innocently laughing, Neko expresses how the fireworks could be seen with both hands open. When she looked at it from the side, it seemed like she was thinking, "Did you see it too...?"
The boy doesn't remember if Neko was with him at the time (after all, he didn't know that Neko was a human girl at the time, he thought she was just a kitten), but Mishina was sad and urged him to lose love. The beauty of the fireworks launched remains in the boy's memory.
"By the way, it was the people from the student association who stopped the fireworks that Mishina continued to fire, right?"
Mishina shook his face with a bitter bite.
"Oh! They were there, the people from the student association."
--- Secretary of the student association, testimony of Sakura Asama.
She arrives on the scene just as the date changed from December 7-8.
It took about 15 minutes before the first fireworks were launched. At the time, she and President Hyuga were working in the student council room. President Hyuga is an excellent student president who is also known as a teacher with abundant intelligence and ability to execute. She was a little nervous when she was alone with the president in the student meeting room at night.
Suddenly, there was a loud noise and the outside of the window suddenly lit up. Many bright fireworks were blooming in the night sky. It was romantic watching the fireworks with the president, but that's not the case.
"What's wrong? There shouldn't have been an app for practice shooting fireworks, etc."
The president squinted through the back of her glasses and immediately contacted a student council officer who was supposed to be looking around the clock tower where Mishina was setting off fireworks. The president knows exactly where and what the executives plan to do and everyone's work schedule. That is why she can immediately give appropriate instructions and verify the situation. (Is that amazing? You're longing for it, right?)
Well, the PDA didn't connect. It's not unreasonable because the student association officer who should be looking around the clock tower was Yukizome.
She was unable to reach Yukizome, but soon another officer contacted the president.
It seems like second year Mishina Sota confessed to Yukizome from the top of the clock tower and was hovering around in despair and burning fireworks.
The president immediately ordered other officers to rush to the scene to stop the fireworks launcher. Sakura quickly got ready for office with the president. She took the wire cutter out of the toolbox and prepared to open the door even if the caster locks the clock tower and stands up.
Glancing sideways as she was ready, the president turned and walked out of the student council room, continuing to speak into the PDA. At that time, the president's clean hair was fluttering and smelling pleasant. The president's hair goes well with her image, and has a refreshing scent that is not sweet but fascinating.
It was midnight when she joined the other officers from the student association and arrived at the clock tower.
The area around the clock tower was full of gathered students.
The area around the clock tower was full of gathered students. Everyone just opens their mouths and watches the fireworks that are launched one after another. There were so many people, so she couldn't help stopping someone. Well, there are people who cannot move easily unless someone takes the initiative. That is why someone was needed who had the power to make decisions and act as the president.
The students around the clock tower noticed the arrival of the president and said: "The student association has arrived!" They raised their voices. It is an air that is safe if it comes from the president. The crowded students quickly cleared the way for the president, who was like Moses.
When the president observed the surroundings and understood the situation, she gave instructions in a clear voice. "Stop this!"
"Ah, the president was great!"
"Eh? If did I see Isana over there? I don't know. He's small so I didn't see him."
The boy was drowning.
It was good to visit the student council room with Kuro and Neko, see the first-year girl, Sakura Asama, and hear the story from the night of December 7, but it emphasized how wonderful the student council president was that day. He was unable to obtain any testimony that she saw the boy.
Asama is a fluffy, mature-looking girl who looks cool with braided hair that's tied sideways, but when the story reaches the student council president, the picture shows the heat dissipating.
Chiho Hyuga, the president of the student council in question, is processing the documents in question without paying attention to the boy, whether she is listening or not. Hyuga is a beautiful girl with straight black hair on her back and red-rimmed glasses. A talented person who stands at the top of the student association, rumored to be more powerful than teachers, and manages various school events. It has gained overwhelming popularity.
The boy sat down and asked Hyuga.
"I... should have been there, don't you remember?"
"I don't know. It wasn't work to see if a fool was in the place."
She replied coldly without raising her face.
The boy let out a disappointing voice in response to the blunt answer.
"It was really difficult at the time. What if the president didn't deal with it quickly? Do you have the article at the time?"
Asama presented the school newspaper to the boy as her cheeks turned slightly vermilion, perhaps in contradiction to Hyuga's attitude at the time. "The flower of love that bloomed in the night sky!" Below the caption, there were many photos from the scene from that night, including a photo of Mishina, who was captured by sympathetic students' association officers with both arms clasped. But…
"I am not here."
It is not far-fetched because he does not recall jumping into the camera to appear in the newspaper photos, but he is disappointed that there is nothing to prove his innocence.
Kuro looking at the newspaper next to the boy also looked rough. Only Neko has a mysterious appearance, as if the situation is still unknown.
"If you want a picture of the riot, why don't you ask the journalism club? Because they were filming a lot that day."
"Yes. The president should have dealt with the incidents that happened in succession, and her activities should have been photographed."
Asama leans her body enthusiastically. Hyuga raised her face without paying attention to Asama's situation, and finally turned her attention back to the boy.
"More than that, guys. No matter how much you are preparing for the culture festival, don't wander around campus in a playful way. Especially you, long accessories are forbidden."
Hyuga's eyes were on Kuro's waist.
"Ah, this is for accessories...!"
Kuro was upset, but Neko laughed happily, perhaps because he was angry. The boy wanted to confiscate weapons that were aimed at his own life if possible, but thought that trouble was more likely to occur because of that. He immediately left the student council room.
"What was that, did she say that 'Kotowari' is a prop?"
"Okay. It means your samurai style suits you too well."
The boy treats Kuro, who bites his teeth while walking down the hall, with appropriate words that move only half his head. Kuro looked at the costume he was wearing, and then turned his eyes to the boy and Neko.
"But, well... like this outfit, the school festival here has a lot of excitement."
"Also, under the initiative of the students, the members of the student association will divide so that everyone can do whatever they want and work together to do and prepare various things. Like December 7, there are days when you can prepare until the evening and there are many free places in this school."
The boy looks out the window. Students wave a props mallet in the yard, talk about how they are decorated, and laugh happily at each other. The scene seemed somewhat defeated and the boy narrowed his eyes.
"It's because it's peaceful that you can do this and work hard at it. I think it's amazing, very nice."
Speaking of stubbornness, Kuro opened his eyes a bit, looked at the boy's face suspiciously.
"Don't say something like an old man all of a sudden."
"Eh? Are you intrigued?"
"And don't forget that your situation is not peaceful at all."
"Ah! That's..."
The boy was drooling. Maybe she thought he was depressed, Neko hugged the boy's arm and encouraged him, "Shiro, cheer up!"
Kuro took a deep breath and crossed his arms in thought.
"By the way, that girl said the incidents happened quickly after that..."
"Oh, that's right. There was a crushing incident, and while the student association was going to capture Mishina, there was an uproar."
"What is that?"
--- Testimony of colleague Sumika Inaba.
About Mishina's case, she thinks it was tough. She thinks the time was around 0:15.
She was moving the horse that was going to guide the gods at the school festival.
He is a good and calm horse. He has beautiful brown fur, round black eyes, and is friendly. The riding club usually takes care of him, but that night they loaned it for the event.
"So, I was about to return the horse to the riding club stables, but that idiot Mishina made that confession, right? That guy is really useless. That kind of thing should only be done by a kid who has a pulse and that he's sure she likes flashy surprises. I think about Kukuri's feelings that she has to reject him in front of the public. Well, in Mishina's case, he wouldn't have had such an upset spirit to pressure her to say "yes". It's just stupid."
"When I looked at Mishina's feelings from the end, I knew it completely, but Kukuri was so bored in the love relationship that she did him no favors, so she desperately tried to make him notice it for himself."
"But I never heard about Mishina from Kukuri, but I understand that she has no more feelings for Mishina than she does from friends. There is a possibility that Kukuri likes him, no, not at all."
"Well, what was the story? Oh, the story after the confession case. Mishina was turned away and set off fireworks, so the horse I was leading was excited. I was desperate to calm him down. Normally he's quiet, but it seems like was surprised by the sound and the strange atmosphere."
Everyone around her was in awe of the fireworks that continued to increase with the momentum of today's school festival. Among them, there was a guy who had a PDA, but he always forgot that he had a fire and watched the fireworks. It seems that he was experimenting with the tatami used in the evening festival, but he was told to be very careful when using the fire, but he neglected his hand and looked up at the sky, so the fire was next to him. It burned the object that was there. It was an object stretched out with paper glued on a wooden frame, so it burned vigorously. The scene was in a panic.
Then the horse she was leading, which was already excited, saw the flames and panicked. She started running all the way so she was about to get dragged off the rope. The horse was running with a force that seemed to bounce off the people around him, and she was half crying and chasing him. Thanks to the fire and the raging horse, the people around her screamed.
"Really, that night was hard, right?"
"Huh? See Isana at the scene? I don't remember. Why is that important?"
The boy dropped his shoulders in front of the lonely Inaba.
"Hey... I'm looking for someone to prove that I was there..."
The boy, who found Inaba right in front of the clock tower at the scene of the incident, recalled that Inaba was in this place with a horse that night, but the result was also lost.
"Isana Shiro-kun has an image that is not strange wherever he is, so he doesn't leave much of an impression no matter where he is. It feels like he's not there, even though he's there..."
"That's..."
Inaba put her finger to her lips and tried to remember for a while, but finally shook her head.
"No. I can't remember. After the horse ran away, I couldn't even look around."
"I see. Yes… thank you…"
He couldn't hide his disappointment, but with a slight smile, the boy raised his hand to Inaba and thanked her. Inaba watches the boy's face closely.
"By the way, Kukuri said, "Shiro-kun looks like he's going to disappear somewhere when you take your eyes off." When I heard that, I didn't understand at all, but he was there. I felt like I couldn't remember what he was doing and I felt like I could understand what Kukuri said."
Inaba is a good friend of Kukuri. The boy hesitates a bit, wondering what they were talking about.
"Eh...? Am I that overshadowed?"
"That's all. He is a popular person who is loved by everyone. Somehow... well, I can't trust his existence... I can't express it well..."
Inaba turned her head several times, but quickly stopped giving an answer and returned her gaze and interest to Neko sitting on a bench and dangling by her legs in her spare time.
"By the way, are you Neko? It's an interesting nickname. It looks cute on you, doesn't it? The costume looks great. I'll give you a candy."
"Hurrah!"
When Inaba took out the candy wrapper from her pocket, Neko who was bored jumped up with a bright expression. Neko, whose head is caressed with candy in her mouth, looks like a little girl with a full forehead.
"Good girl, Neko-chan. Should I buy a delicious Daifuku later?"
"Really? Food!"
Seeing Neko loved like a younger sister is fun, but it's not the case when the boy smiles at her. He already felt at a dead end when searching. Feel the spicy skin next to her, with a haunting aura.
She wishes she could remember who the boy spoke to that night, but sadly she doesn't have such a clear memory.
"You…"
"Ah, wait! Oh, look! Asama-san said that a lot of people in the journalism club were taking pictures that night, right? I'm sure if you ask him…"
Upon detecting Kuro's signal that he is about to draw the sword, the boy asked Inaba who was with Neko, quickly.
"I am also a journalism club. Do I ask the director?"
Inaba simply takes the PDA out of her pocket and calls the manager.
The director of the journalism department appeared to be taking pictures of the school festival preparations and came with a beautiful single-lens reflex camera hanging from his neck.
Upon hearing from Inaba, the director took the tablet from the PDA and searched for a photo from the night of the incident.
"It's a photo from December 7th, within an hour from 11:45 PM. Right after Mishina made the confession until the fire was extinguished and the wild horse was captured. At that time, there were many incidents at the same time, so several people took pictures at random."
"Wow, help!"
Looking like a god of salvation, the boy jumped on the offered tablet. Kuro also looks seriously.
While looking for the reflection of himself in a large number of photographs, Inaba went away saying: "See you later. I'm going to the classroom.", And the director of the journalism club began to photograph the traces of burned objects in front of clock tower. Neko who seems to be free begins to play with the cleaning robot, type Tsukumo 99, which was passing by.
In the idyllic afternoon sun, the boy and Kuro kept looking at the images on the tablet one by one.
Fireworks strewn across the night sky. The horse looking at them. The student council president who arrived in a hurry. A student association officer who opens the door of the clock tower. An object that begins to burn.
Dismay, come and go, run away, fire extinguisher.
Students who run with them. A horse that begins to raze and run. Those who run away from the horse, those who pursue it. Mishina is captured and taken out of the clock tower. The student council president who sees the noise outside and quickly begins to give directions. A student association officer who brings down students desperately trying to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher and pulls a hose from the fire extinguisher. Discharge of water that starts strongly. A member of the riding club runs in. A member that stops chasing the horse and keeps them away. A horse that moves through the school grounds. Students who coordinate and monitor. A flame extinguished by discharge of water. Guys who are full of soot and rejoice in putting out the fire safely. People around her clapping. A boy who starts crying. The student council president scolds him. However, after that, the vision of putting her hand on his shoulder as if he was happy he wasn't hurt. In a calm and warm mood, a horse that has run and calmed down slowly returns, and a member of the riding club and Inaba gently catch him. Robots that appear to "clean up the mess."
There were so many photos. The boy kept rushing to see the images appearing one after the other, but gradually the movement of the fingers when swiping the images weakened.
"No..."
Involuntarily a helpless sound leaked out. Many of the photos show a large number of other students who are not the protagonists of the case, but the boy who should have been there is nowhere reflected.
"I think I was wandering around here."
When he lowered his eyebrows, the director of the journalism club, who was pointing the camera around him, looked back with a look of surprise.
"Ah, really? There are so many photos from that day, so if you were there, you could find them somewhere, right?"
"No..."
Family views and rushed friends appear one after another, but he can't find the essential boy.
Kuro made his badass look even sharper and turned to the boy.
"You, after all, weren't there!"
"What happened? Is it important that you were there?"
The boy smiled a warm smile, suppressing the director of the journalism club, who bit a strange place and said: "No, it's nothing."
After all, unable to find a photo where it appeared, the boy returned the tablet containing the photos to the director of the journalism club and thanked him.
The boy, who had been unconcerned by the memory and the confidence that he was there that day, began to feel a gradual impatience.
"Hmm, I'm in trouble. I'm sure of it."
Although he made an effort to have a carefree voice, he painfully feels the disturbing signals emitted by Kuro getting louder and louder. Look sideways. Kuro with his eyes on his sword, seemed to have come to the realm of murder out of suspicion and anger, and looked at the boy with cold air. Partly due to the disguise he was wearing, he had the feeling that he was a samurai trying to behead the enemy. It can seriously cut it.
When the boy was in a cold sweat and faced Kuro, a bright and refreshing voice broke through the tense atmosphere.
"Oh, Shiro-kun!"
Kukuri, holding a luggage in his arms, was puffing out his cheeks when he saw the boy.
"Everyone is busy, but what are you doing?"
Before the boy made an excuse, he withdrew the murderous signal from the sword that had leaked just now, walked over, and scooped up the heavy luggage stuck in the cardboard box from Kukuri's arm. When asked, "Where are you going to take him?", Kuro has grown into a young warrior who is kind to girls and children. In a short relationship, the boy knew enough to say that he was basically a very caring man.
Kukuri happily thanked her and smiled.
"So can you bring it to the staff room? I have to take this to the student council room."
"I get it."
The moment he heard the exchange between Kukuri and Kuro, an inspiration ran inside the boy.
"Oh, that's right... the staff room..."
The boy gently raised the edge of his mouth.
"The student's departure record? Daimon?"
"Yes."
The old teacher who is in charge of literature has a rough and very laid-back personality. He is the perfect person to make this request.
The literature teacher turns his head mysteriously.
"Good, but... why again..."
"No, it's not a big deal... just that I could die."
The boy turns to the literature teacher and tells him the situation in a whisper. The teacher said, "Oh, yeah." If it was troublesome even though it seemed like he didn't understand why.
"When?"
"December 7th."
Check-out for December 7th was provided by a former literature teacher. When the boy succeeded, he laughed at an angle that did not look like a fox.
The only entrance to Ashinaka High School, which is an island, is the gate in front of the connecting bridge that connects to the mainland, commonly known as Daimon. To pass, the door sensor must be made to read the school-designated PDA, which also serves as a student ID card. Basically, all the times of entry and exit of people are recorded.
As he left the staff room and walked down the street in front of the research building, the boy analyzed whether the student's check-in and check-out from December 7, which he had just received, is endorsed to prove his identity. Start going through the list.
"Torisawa, Ariyoshi, Iida, Ikuno... Next is Inoue! Look! Isana Yashiro is not here."
On the paper, the names of the students who passed through the door that day are listed in the order of Aiueo, and the transit time is recorded next to each name. Students who go to school are basically on schedule to get in and out of school, and students who do not live in the dorm are on time to leave and return to school.
There is no boy's name on the paper, which means that the boy who lives in the dorm has not left campus one step that day.
The boy killed the tension and listened to Kuro's reaction with a casual face.
Kuro doesn't look at the recording paper the boy is showing, and walks with his gaze down with a calm expression that makes it difficult to tell what he's thinking.
"Shiro, Shiro! Wagahai is hungry!"
Neko who was not interested in what they were doing, complained innocently.
The boy does not care about Neko's comment, and pushes the recording paper to force him to see Kuro, who is looking down.
"This cleared your suspicions, right?"
Still, Kuro doesn't move his expression or his gaze. While the boy gulped and waited for Kuro's behavior, Neko feeling ignored clenched her fist with both hands and screamed.
"I'm hungry!"
Both the boy and Kuro stop at the scream of Neko's angry girlish look.
"Sorry, sorry. I'm relieved, so let's have a snack slowly."
"Yahoo! Snack! Kukuri has delicious senbe! After that, Kukuri's friend should buy Daifuku! Oh, I'm thirsty! Buy something, Shiro. Let's go!"
Neko, who is excited about the snacks, moves in a good mood and romps.
However, in contrast to Neko's high enthusiasm, Kuro still looks at the boy coldly.
The boy sighed and said in a tone reminiscent of the confused.
"That's why everyone who enters and leaves this island is controlled by the automatic gate. It is a pip. The fact that it is not on this list means that I have been on this island the entire time and could not have gone to the crime scene. Right?"
Kuro still hasn't opened his mouth. The boy left him and turned to Neko who was waiting in front of the vending machine.
"Wagahai should have juice!"
"That? Not enough coins."
When the boy clenched his pockets in an attempt to respond to Neko's pleas, a beep was heard. So, there is a sound of the juice Neko wanted.
When he raised his face, Kukuri, who was holding the PDA over the vending machine, turned her dismayed face towards the boy.
"Don't you have the PDA again? It's a rule, so you have to have it correctly. I mean, it's a pass."
An eerie air fell over the place. It can be understood without looking. There is a sign of anger that crosses the skin of the person in charge.
"Kukuri. Are you saying this boy never carries a PDA?"
Kukuri is unaware of Kuro's disturbances. The boy raised his finger in front of his mouth and desperately sent a gesture that he wanted to keep a secret, but Kukuri didn't notice and took it easy.
"No matter how much you tell him, he will forget."
"You can't walk through the door without a PDA, right?"
"He always manages."
The boy covered his face with the palm of his hand. He thinks he did, and it was at the same time that Kuro touched his sword.
"Kukuri. From now on, something unpleasant will happen here. Leave us alone."
"Wait, wait! I'm serious! I'm seriously looking for evidence!"
"Okay, I know you are a dishonest man."
In response to Kuro's threat, Neko stood up with a threatening voice and stood in front of the boy. Kuro keeps Neko in a sharp line of sight.
"Go away, or are you still this guy's partner? Do you want to get cut off with your master?"
"Wagahai is a cat! I'm Shiro's cat! I won't give you Shiro, Kurosuke!"
Neko hugged the boy with a desperate face and tried to be the boy's shield. Neko is hideously self-taught, but like animal cats, she is sensitive to danger. She exposes herself to Kuro, who is about to draw his sword, and strongly appeals over misaligned issues.
"Shiro is a good person and we eat delicious rice and sandwiches together!"
"Easy, Neko. You're making things more complicated."
The boy calmed the watery-eyed Neko and pushed her behind him.
She is innocent about the murder case, but it is true that she tried to ridicule him. The only one he should be mad at is the boy, who cannot involve or hurt Neko.
As soon as the boy took a position to hold Neko on his back, he rolled his eyes as if confused. Kuro, with a sad look, loosens his hand from the sword's handle as if he had lost.
"Sorry, Kuro. I'll take it seriously from now on! There were still a lot of things that day! Sprinkler destruction incident, toilet flooding incident, gym ceiling penetration incident, etc. I must have been somewhere. That's it! "
As the boy said, Kukuri, who had been left vacant with a face that until then could not swallow the situation, responded to the case of penetrating the roof of the PE warehouse and said, "What?"
"I ran into Shiro-kun at the gym that day, right?"
The boy opened his eyes to Kukuri's words, which seemed casual.
--- Testimony of the classmate, Kukuri Yukizome.
That day, she had the incident with Mishina at the clock tower... She was shocked and embarrassed. She did not know what to do and ran away.
She felt sorry when she learned later that there were several difficult things after that...
When she escape to the school building, she could hear loud voices and sounds from the clock tower all the time, and the people in the school building also noticed the noise and looked at the situation towards the clock tower. "I ran towards, I... I mean... it's also the cause... I felt like I didn't have a place to hide..."
So when she walked through the school building and down the high street, she heard something loud in the gym. She went to see what happened.
"It really was a terrible noise..."
When she opened the gym door and looked inside, she found Shiro. She was surprised because she didn't think there were people.
("Isana-kun! What are you doing here? Hmm. You were skipping the preparations for the school festival, right?")
"Shiro-kun disappears and takes a nap somewhere. Oh, but it was time to get ready for the night, so maybe it was a nap. If it makes him sleepy, I wish he would at least rest in the bedroom."
When he was talking about it, she suddenly realized that the moonlight was coming from a strange angle into the gym, which should be dark, and when she looked up, there was a large hole in the ceiling of the warehouse.
"Shiro-kun, you were also surprised when the ceiling suddenly fell, weren't you? I'm so glad you didn't hurt yourself."
That's why she went to the staff room to report. After all, it seemed that the roof was quite damaged, and it seemed that something flying in the wind had fallen. It is an old warehouse and it looks like they are going to demolish and rebuild it.
"Hmm? Shiro-kun, why do you look so happy?"
The boy who moved to the gym with Kukuri, and they looked up at the hole in the ceiling. The hole was repaired by putting a wooden board in its shape, but sunlight shone through the gaps in the board.
This is the scene of the "PE Warehouse Roof Penetration Incident", which is a relatively small incident among the many incidents that occurred that night. The discoverers are Isana Yashiro and Kukuri Yukizome.
"Oh, that's right. Hey, do you remember exactly when it was?"
The boy looked at Kukuri with a face that couldn't hide expectations and joy.
Kukuri operated the PDA in her hand to display a single photo. She had to report the hole in the gym to her teacher. The image clearly shows the boy looking at the hole in the ceiling.
The date and time data in the photo are...
"It was at 12:30."
"Less than an hour from the time of the crime."
The boy sighed with deep relief.
Kuro muttered with a complicated expression that seemed unhappy, but somehow relieved.
"It is impossible to return from the scene of the crime at that time."
"This time, the alibi is established!"
The boy jumped for joy. Even though Neko doesn't seem to understand the meaning, she jumps out with a face that makes the boy happy.
"What? What are you talking about?"
Kukuri looked at the boy with a clean face.
"You are my lifeline!"
The girl who proved the boy's innocence blinked slowly.
++++++++++
He was confused by himself, that somewhere in his heart he was relieved that an alibi was found.
He may not have been a bad "King", but the boy is a dishonest man. He try to pray for Kuro with a sigh. However, in front of Kuro, who was about to draw his sword, the boy kept Neko behind his back. If he is a coward, he will escape with a woman as a shield, he can cut him off without worrying about it.
When he saw the boy hiding Neko, the memories of the old days returned to his mind.
It was a memory from when Kuro was ten years old. There was an incident where a man who was Kuro's brother and Miwa's disciple, requested a battle from Miwa and raised his sword. Kuro, who was still young, wanted to protect his beloved master while confused, and trembled while holding a stick.
That brother, he was terribly strong. That person was offensive to Miwa. That fact scared him and made him think that he had to keep Miwa safe even if he replaced him.
However, Miwa gently put his hand on his head and smiled gently, appearing in front of him with a very natural movement.
The Miwa of that time and his appearance overlapped with the boy and Neko who was hiding.
Kuro knows the horror of having a loved one threatened.
Kuro also knows the strength and goodness of his back, which stands up to threat and protects.
"Is he fake or not? What is he?"
Kukuri, who was next to him, raised her face at the leaked message inadvertently.
"Hmm? Kuro-kun, did you say something?"
"No, nothing, sorry."
"Hmm... that? By the way, Shiro-kun?"
After confirming the boy's alibi in the gym, Kuro and the others returned to the classroom with Kukuri. However, along the way, the boy seems to have gone somewhere alone. A man soft and restless as a balloon. Although an alibi was found, the murder video mystery stands strong, and although the situation has not been resolved, he is surprised that it is a person with a weak sense of crisis.
"Hey, Kukuri, sandwich!"
Neko always becomes attached to the boy, but now it seems that with Kukuri's words, "Let's give her a sandwich", she stays glued to Kukuri.
"Yes. Kukuri-san's rice patisserie is open! Wagahai-chan, roasted rice, Negi Miso, roasted shrimp mochi, roasted mochi, carrot shoyu, Zarame roasted mochi, super spicy roasted mochi."
Kukuri takes the rice cakes out of the paper bag one after another and orders them. Neko looked at the rice cake with bright eyes.
"Is it spicy? Super spicy?"
"Super spicy is a very spicy rice cake."
"You want?"
"That's right, it's going to be very hot!"
"Nyaaah! Then that!"
He looked at Kukuri and Neko happily playing with each other, and Kuro pondered.
If the boy is really innocent and someone puts him to sleep and dresses in the murderer's wet robe, then his life in this school cannot be destroyed. The boy is a careless man, but after working together all day today, he knew well that he was surrounded by many friends at this school and loved this peaceful life. If something happens to the boy, Kukuri and the others will be sad.
After seeing Kukuri parading around the room and handing out rice cakes to other friends for a moment, Kuro looked at Neko sideways.
"Hey, Neko."
To Neko who is happy to receive a spicy rice cake from Kukuri, Kuro bluntly throws words at her.
"I am still reluctant to your existence, but what are you really? Why are you with Isana?"
"Wagahai is a cat."
"That again... Are you a Strain?"
"Strain?"
"He is a talented and lonely person."
Neko puffed out her cheeks as if offended.
"I was alone, but now I have Shiro. Because this Shiro, I'm not alone anymore. Also being with Shiro, I received a snack from Kukuri."
"Isana the one who picked you up?"
"Shiro picked up Wagahai, and Wagahai picked up Shiro. So Neko is Shiro's cat, and Shiro is Neko's."
What Neko says is still irrational. However, even so, Kuro has deepened his sympathy for Neko.
Kuro is also a person who was alone until he was picked up by Miwa.
"Since when have you been with Isana?"
He felt a bit grumpy and made a softer voice than before, but Neko didn't answer this question. She turns to the side and holds the rice cake she received to her chest and walks away from Kuro.
Kuro sighed deeply and looked around.
In the classroom, students are on their feet and working to prepare for the school festival. Everyone was working hard, especially Kukuri seemed to be busy, and although she was still smiling, she was on her feet and working as she watched the progress here and there.
(Because it's nice to be able to do this and work hard at it. I think it's really nice.)
Remembering the boy's words, Kuro inwardly agreed. Everyone enjoys peace as a matter of course, so they can work hard to prepare for a festival like this. Is very precious.
It was supposed to be a distant vision for Kuro, who is destined to cut down the evil "King".
However, when he was looking at them, he feared they were uncomfortable.
According to the boy, the school festival was only three days away. Even so, he can still see a blank cloth in the hands of the students who are sewing the costumes, will they be okay? They are putting together an accessory, but if they stretch the board first, he thinks they won't be able to fit that part later. As for the group that does interior decoration, it seems they don't even know what they want to do, but maybe they can't get it done in time.
As he stared at them, something in Kuro began to sting him. It may be because the boy's search for a alibi has stabilized and relaxed him. Since Kuro is from a rural school with a single digit number of students, it is possible that he was not related to such a school festival and has stimulated something of a longing. Maybe the nice guys at this school he was involved with today couldn't just leave him alone, thinking he might get in trouble later.
"Hey! Then they won't be able to make it in time for the school festival! Lend me the tools! I'll help you!"
When he suddenly raised his voice, the students' eyes slyly met. Kukuri rounded her eyes, and the next moment she said with a happy voice, "Really? Help!"
++++++++++
The boy returned to the bedroom, rubbing around his tense shoulders.
He has not been able to take a nap in his daily routine because he was desperately moving while being watched by Kuro today. When he was relieved, he was suddenly tired and sleepy.
"Oh, I'm tired. I wonder if they want to kill me every day."
As he tried to dive into bed, he found he was still in his school festival costume and stopped. Sorry for the clothes his friend sewed with so much effort.
"Wow, I left my uniform in the classroom."
The boy opened the closet looking for a change of clothes. He should also pick up his uniform when his deliver the costume to the classroom later. He searches a poorly organized closet, trying to put on comfortable clothes.
As soon as he grabbed a replacement shirt from the bottom of the closet and lifted it, the boy's body froze.
There is blood.
As soon as he realized that, his body starts to shake.
Under the shirt he grabbed, there was another white shirt. Blood was attached to the front like splatter. It became rough and hard.
Does not know. He doesn’t know what that is.
The boy did not remember the bloodstained shirt. The only thing he inevitably remember is that murder movie.
(It's a beautiful night, right? I came to take a night view, but what are you doing in such a place? I'm Tatara Totsuka, and you?)
Someone with the boy's face turns around and shoots the photographer who speaks quietly.
When the image is blurry and the photographer collapses for a moment, and then the person who looks like the boy reappears, the shirt is stained with blood.
(I am the Seventh King, the Colorless King. I am waiting for someone. Is it a good, night? Oh, yes, it is a good night!)
The shot in the video echoes behind the boy's ears.
Is different. He can't be him. He doesn't remember that, and Kukuri proved he was in Gakuenjima 45 minutes after the crime. Thinking normally, there should be no way to get from the crime scene to Gakuenjima in 45 minutes.
But... no one proved his alibi at the time of the crime. It must have been in front of the clock tower at the time, but no one remembered if it was there and it wasn't in the photos.
"Wrong! It's not me! I'm not killing people! So... what is this damn shirt?"
Many thoughts swirled in the boy's head.
"Shiro!"
Neko's bright voice broke into the boy's disturbed thought.
The boy hurriedly shoved his shirt back and closed the closet door.
When he raised his face, innocent-faced Neko had just entered the room.
"What? What's wrong? Oh, is it a sandwich?"
"Kukuri gave me a super spicy rice sandwich! So, she said to call you, and after that she said she will give me an ultra-spicy sandwich!"
Neko moves happily and informs to express her mood with her whole body.
The boy returned an awkward smile.
"Okay, now I'm going."
Neko looks at the boy's face and clouds her happy face a bit.
"Shiro…? Does your stomach hurt?"
Eagerly walking towards Neko, the boy puts his hand on her head.
"Is nothing."
Suppressing the anxiety and fear that slowly spread throughout his body, the boy gently stroked Neko's head.

Ouma Month Day 21: Birthday!
Of course I had to write something up for the good gremlin son! And I also had seen Ouma Month ( @oumaevents ) going around, too: so all the more reason!
Summary: Takes place in detective/phantom thief AU! After celebrating with DICE, Kokichi wanted to see his favorite detective, too, but couldn’t find him anywhere... until he saw a “mysterious hooded man” exiting a store with a shopping bag. And so commence the ironic role reverse of the phantom thief chasing the good detective down!!
Basically just a soft and silly one-shot I wanted to do in one of my favorite AUs, heheh... but yes, I hope you all have a nice read and thank you to everyone who does so! Happy Birthday, Kokichi! ☆
The birthday party of the infamous phantom thief naturally had to be grand. A giant cake, party games, and pulling pranks on unsuspecting civilians earlier, and even each other: Kokichi had the time of his life with his organization. Additionally, he was celebrating another successful heist he pulled last night: stealing a large gold diamond ring from a corrupt rich man. Ohh how he remembers the delightful feeling of speeding down the halls, security guards and officers failing to catch him. But the most exciting part, of course: was always when a certain detective chased him down those London streets with vigor, not letting up once. Only Shuichi ever made Kokichi run so far and fast, that even his own legs grew tired. Then whenever they both grew too tired to run: they had their small talks, distance forced with Kokichi’s dagger. So close, yet so far… seeing that look of frustration on the detective’s face from up close was always his favorite thing to witness, before he’d succeed in getting away.
Now he originally was going to just stay in and party all night with his crew, but that overwhelming desire to see the detective made him head out, with the excuse that he’ll ‘demand’ a present from Shuichi, too. That is… until he saw he was neither at his office in the precinct or at home. “Eh…?” He even went as far as to quickly check the park, and he wasn’t there. The library and cafe weren’t open around this time, either… so he didn’t have a clue where else he could be. Now he was hopping from roof to roof, seeing if he could spot Shuichi anywhere from above. “Sheesh.. who does Saihara-chan think he is, disappearing outta nowhere: that’s my job!” He huffs, trying to swallow down that worry if something’s happened to him.
“!” Just as he hops to the next roof, he looks down below and sees someone exiting a store. He can’t tell who it is, since he’s wearing a black hoodie with its hood up. He also sees this mysterious person carrying a white shopping bag, but strangest of all: the hooded man seems to be… stopping every couple of steps, anxiously looking around. “.......” He wonders, could it be…? Raising his foot up, Kokichi makes a hard, loud stomp.
“?!” The hooded man jumps, looking up at where he heard the noise. “!!!” Kokichi still couldn’t see his face, but he’s sure he must be sweating. And before he can say anything, he sees the hooded man suddenly speed off.
“Hey-!” Oh now he knows for certain who that has to be. Quickly climbing down a pole, Kokichi starts running after him. “Get back here! Saihara-chan…!” The hooded man doesn’t respond, instead running even faster: he couldn’t let Kokichi hear his voice. Sure, there was a chance Kokichi could be wrong: but the guy could’ve easily denied he’s Shuichi, yet didn’t. And this guy was notably taller and bigger than Kokichi, so it’d be silly to be so intimidated by him like this, when he could fight him off.
Shuichi was running as fast as he could, tightly clutching the handles of the shopping bag. (“Crap, crap! How did he figure out it was me?!”) This was the exact scenario he was not hoping for: being spotted by Kokichi before he could make it home. He had a feeling-or secretly hoped-Kokichi would want to see him, hence why he wanted to be at his house before then, so he could surprise him with a gift. Maybe, he tells himself: if he just keeps running, eventually turns a different corner, lose him, then hurry back home….
As he chased him down, Kokichi realized the funny irony of the situation: he’s the one chasing the detective this time. Of course, the circumstances here are different, but he wonders if this is how Shuichi feels: that frustration of chasing him down, feeling like he wasn’t getting any closer… but unlike the detective, there was no way he was going to let him succeed in escaping. Only he could do that! Seeing Shuichi make a sharp turn towards a street corner opposite of his home, he knew what he was trying to pull. So: he pretends he trips, feigning a shocked yelp. “Ah!”
“!” Shuichi quickly turned back and saw him trip, believing it really was accidental.. And a part of him feels bad for just leaving him there, but it’s the perfect chance to finally lose him. He turns down a couple of more corners before he hides in some bushes to catch his breath. “Hah….haaah….” His legs feel incredibly sore and his heart’s racing, just like when he’s normally chasing him. “I...I-I  think I lost him….hah…. m-man, that was close. I’ll have to quietly hurry back in the direction of my house before he can-”
“Boo.”
“AH?!” The thief he thought that he had lost, was suddenly right in his face, making Shuichi shoot up to his feet. Now that he actually heard him, it was obvious he’s Shuichi... but still-
“Don’t you dare!” Before Shuichi could even try to think of running again, Kokichi lunged at him, wrapping his arms and legs around him to latch on tightly.
“Gah! G..Get off of me…!” Shuichi tries to keep his balance, one hand still gripping the bag, while the other is forcefully trying to keep his hood down, while Kokichi’s trying to forcefully pull it back.
“I’m not stupid, Saihara-chan, I know it’s you! Now let me..!” He yanks his arm away and quickly pulls the hood down before he can bring it back up. “See!” And just as he suspected… well, already knew 100% by now: this ‘mysterious hooded man’ was indeed Saihara Shuichi, himself.
“Uhhnn… surpriiise…. Hahaha….”  He sighs, hanging his head low. “Fine, you got me… I give up.” Once the thief was off him, the two sit against a nearby tree together. “...Sorry for running away. I wanted to hurry home to surprise you.”
“...So you were trying to surprise me, huh? I see. Well…” Arms behind his head, he leans his back further against the tree. “...I guess I can understand that: so I’ll let you off for now, criminal. Nishishi... “ A small smile appears on his face. “...I never thought I’d be chasing down Saihara-chan, though. I know you’re obviously a fast runner, but geez! Even I had trouble trying to get you! I knew you’d fall for that trick, so I followed the sound of your footsteps and quietly snuck up to you.”
“I figured that’s what happened… man, you almost gave me a heart attack!” He chuckles, before he looks at the bag sitting on his lap. “Um… since you already know it’s me, I might as well give you your gift right now.  H….Here you go…” He holds the gift bag towards Kokichi.
“Hmm….” He takes the bag, curious as to what’s inside. “What’s inside will determine if Saihara-chan lives or dies, depending on how I like it.” Though in truth, his heart was fluttering over the fact Shuichi wanted to surprise him with a gift: that fact alone, was going to make him love whatever was in. Inside the bag is a white box, with the brand name of a rather fancy accessory and customization shop.  When he opens the box- ”!” His eyes widened. Inside were formal gloves, dark purple and made of a high quality, yet soft fabric. Around the cuffs were lavender ribbons, similar to the kinds Kokichi implemented in a lot of his outfits. Then on the lower part of the gloves’ cuffs, was the initial of his first and last name in gold lettering. “.......” The gloves feel so nice in his hands, when he picks them up…
“Since you… always wear gloves, and like ribbons: I thought you might… like something like this. A-And I had them customized to have your initials on them, to make them even more personalized, ehehe…” Feeling a light blush creep on his cheeks, he looks towards him. “Wh..What do you think? P-Put them on, if you’d like!”
A nod, Kokchi slowly slips the gloves on. “Ohh….” They feel as nice to wear as they did to hold: even more so than the gloves he usually wears. “Saihara-chan...this…” His face looks unreadable for a moment… before he flashes the brightest smile he can at Shuichi. “...This is a worthy present befitting a master thief! You’ve actually managed to impress me better than I expected, so you can live for now! Nishishi!” Then the smile turns into a much calmer, warmer, but still just as genuine one. “...Thank you, Saihara-chan. I love it.”
“Ahaha… well I’m happy if I can live longer, then.” He gives him a soft smile as well, his heart feeling warm when he sees the genuine one on Kokichi. A smile that he caused, because of his present… while the way to surprise him didn’t go exactly as planned, it still worked out in the end: and that alone was satisfactory to him. “...I’m glad you love your present, Ouma-kun. If… you’re not in a hurry to get back: let’s stay here for a while.” For a moment, he hesitates… but then he reaches a hand to rest it on top of Kokichi’s, slowly intertwining their fingers. “Ah...the gloves really do feel soft. And warm… but maybe because you’re wearing them? H-Heheh….”
“...!” The sudden action catches Kokichi off guard, making his own cheeks heat up as he looks down at their hands. “S...Someone sure is bold all of a sudden. Geez…” Yet he doesn’t move his hand away: in fact, he scoots closer to Shuichi, until their shoulders practically touch. “F….Fine, if Saihara-chan’s so desperate for my attention...” Even he couldn’t hide the actual happiness inside of his tone as he mumbles that. They normally were ever this close together when Shuichi confronted him. But that wasn’t happening this time, nor was a dagger forcing distance: they were just hanging out… as Kokichi and Shuichi, not phantom thief and detective. A moment like this is rare… he wants to cherish it.
“...Um….” Shuichi looks towards him. “I...may have… just one more surprise.” A dark blush starts creeping onto his cheeks. “C-Could you maybe… close your eyes?”
“Ohh? So you can land a surprise attack…? Just kidding! If Saihara-chan insists...” He didn’t know why he could suddenly feel his heart racing from such a simple request, but as asked, Kokichi slowly closes his eyes. Was it going to be another surprise present? It didn’t seem like Shuichi had anything else on him aside from that shopping bag. Sudden silence, and not hearing as if Shuichi was taking something out, was nerve wracking and he almost would’ve impatiently spoke up… had he not suddenly felt soft lips slowly press against his. “?!”  Kokichi’s eyes shoot wide open, uttering a surprised mumble into the kiss. His cheeks turn an even deeper shade of red and his heart feels like it’ll burst out of his chest. Being kissed by Shuichi, the man who secretly stole his heart… it was something he’s always wanted, but never thought he would get: especially unexpectedly like this. Slowly, he closes his eyes back, leaning into the kiss some more to deepen it. “Mmn…”
Doing something so bold like this made Shuichi incredibly nervous if he would regret it, but feeling Kokichi lean more into the kiss makes a relieved, content hum vibrate through him. Just as he’s stolen Kokichi’s heart… Kokichi’s stolen his heart, too. Falling for a criminal… a fact that normally would worry Shuichi: didn’t matter right now. Even once the kiss is over, their faces stay very close, Shuichi gently stroking his cheek. “...Ouma-kun…”
“...One more.” He utters, before Kokichi is the one to initiate the kiss this time, now wrapping his arms around the detective’s neck. In turn, Shuichi wraps his around Kokichi’s waist, slowly rubbing his back. The kiss is longer and more loving, giving each other a series of quick pecks in between. Only when they needed the time to catch their breath, did they finally break away for real. “Nishi...shishi… I should’ve expected Saihara-chan would give me such a nice gift… but I didn’t think he’d have the balls to make out with me, too! Is Saihara-chan secretly trying to seduce me, I wonder…~?”
“Ah-!” He starts flailing his hands. “N-No, that’s not it! I just… w-wanted to… do that. It, um… it was nice…” He mutters the last part almost inaudibly under his breath.
“Hahaha! What are you flustering yourself for, nerd? But I suppooose I really liked it, too…” He whispers real quietly under his breath: “...Maybe I wouldn’t mind if Saihara-chan surprises me more often like that…”
“...!” He slowly looks back at him. “O-Ouma-kun…?”
“Anywaaay!” Before Shuichi can notice how flustered he is as well, Kokichi suddenly stands up. “You won’t get rid of me just yet! I’ll make Saihara-chan’s house my personal kingdom for tonight! Now catch me if you can~!” And before Shuichi can respond, he already takes off.
“Wha-h-hey! What’s that even supposed to mean! O-Ouma-kun!!” Grabbing the bag, Shuichi starts running after him. “Geez! Now I’m the one running after you like usual! I may be off duty right now, but I’ll definitely arrest you if I catch you!”
“We’ll see about that!! Run faster, Mr. Detective!” And unlike their usual chases, which were full of tension and heart-racing excitement: the two were laughing, as if they’re old friends kicking it back and having a great time. He’ll be excited to wear these gloves with his outfits: and might just surprise him with a kiss the next time they have their little talk before he makes his escape. Just as a small thank you for making this birthday night even more memorable for him.

I'll gladly help you procrastinate! For the character ask, Ayda Aguefort, Pete the Plug, and First of her Name, Sovereign Ruler of Candia and the Sugarlands, Witch-Queen of the Dairy Sea, High Priestess of the Sweetening Path, Archmage of Lost Sucrosia, Enemy of the Faith, The Sundae Sorceress, Storm-Captain of the Frosted Fleet, Queen Saccharina of House Frostwhip.
oh gosh this got LONG kldsaljda ty for the ask friend! sorry for the weird formatting i had to copy it from the notes app because i didn’t trust tumblr not to randomly delete it while i was typing
Ayda
Why I like them- goodness gracious why do I love Ayda? Best best best girl. She wants friends desperately but she has a hard time but she doesn’t try to change herself to do it? And she is just,, so brilliant and Wonderfull and she makes me very emotional. Fun fact, there’s a video on YouTube that’s just all of her appearances, and I started watching that when I couldn’t get access to dropout because I was so intrigued about what I saw on Tumblr! And she’s like 60% of the reason I got dropout
* Why I don’t- BEST GIRL.
* Favorite episode (scene if movie)- I mean the figayda first kiss and everything that preceded it was GOLD. Also the scene where adaine asks if she wants to hold boggy. What an angel.
* Favorite season/movie- sophomore year obviously! Can’t wait for more content with her as time goes on!
* Favorite line- “NOOO IT’S TOO CUTE!” And “if i was you, i wouldn’t want to be anyone else” “I too am a low quality child”
* Favorite outfit- the sweater she’s wearing in the full version of my icon because its says “reading is lit” and I love the pun sm! you know one of the bad kids would get it for her! https://rabdoidal.tumblr.com/post/190876580075/baby-youre-hands-down-the-best-thing-about-me-and
* OTP- Fig!! They’re such a good balance for each other! Fig is always trying to be other people, but around Ayda she’s growing into herself more! And Ayda learning from fig too, getting out of her comfort zone and GAH I LOVE THEM. IN THE WORDS OF LOU WILSON I BLESS THIS UNION
* Brotp- Adaine! Gorgug! And Cheese of course!
* Head Canon- I have no idea how junior year is gonna go, but I can see her spending time at Aguefort trying to talk more with her dad and see her friends since she doesn’t really know anyone else in Elmville? And she will slowly and accidentally take over their school library and anyone taking wizard classes will totally come to her for advice! Let Ayda have all the friends okay.
* Unpopular opinion- I talked about this in a different ask but her cameo in pirol felt just a bit out of place? Like if I hadn’t seen fhsy it would’ve really thrown me off and it kinda messed with the standalone nature of the season. That being said I LOVED that scene!! i want more of her and cheese being friends!
* A wish- idc how unrealistic it may be, fig and ayda will be high school sweethearts dang it! I think they’ll have their struggles for sure, but that’s endgame baby!
* An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen- if brennan hurts her I WILL be meeting him in the denny’s parking lot, no mercy
* 5 words to best describe them- brilliant, radiant, outstanding, show-stopping, resplendent
* My nickname for them- best girl!!
Pete the Plug
Why I like them- my boy is really trying his best!! The voice of the dreams, who finds a home and people who love and respect and support him, who stares down the dream and asks to see its true form.
Why I don’t- I love him your honor!
Favorite episode (scene if movie)- yo I bingewatched this season so fast my memory is badddd so I’m not sure!
Favorite line: my memory is such garbage man!! Idk!! I just looked through his Tumblr tag and that one line in the coffee shop where he asks where the crying booth is is GOLD
Favorite outfit- cowboy hat KING
OTP- I am not immune to the Pete/ricky/ester/Sofia polycule,,
Brotp- Kingston!! they had a rough patch, but I love the way they grow to understand and care for each other! And also Nod ofc, their scenes were my favorite!
Head Canon: he pops up at the hospital to grab lunch with Kingston and the other nurses are just like “Kingston your boy is here” and no one corrects them
Unpopular opinion: I’m not sure tbh? I have trouble with these cause I’m not sure what the popular opinions are
A wish- someone get that boy a sweater. Its New York in December he’s gonna FREEZE he needs a COAT
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen- no more toxic relationships! Let him thrive!
5 words to best describe them- unpredictable, wild, wonderful, passionate, reckless
My nickname for them- not a nickname but occasionaly i will see fanart and just go KING in my head. love that vox fantasma
QUEEN SACCHARINA
* Why I like them: it’s illegal for me not to fall in love with Emily’s PCs. Her backstory absolutely wrecked me! She’s trying so hard, she was without a family for so long and she found a family and then she was finally reunited with her blood family and it was weird and complicated and FCK she’s so good
* Why I don’t- Emily axford does no wrong
* Favorite episode (scene if movie)- finale! Holy shit that finale! (Also for scene, that first round of combat where she thunder steps and saves Joren. Holy fcking moly.)
* Favorite line: god it hurt me DEEPLY, but I can’t stop thinking about “you can be my sister or my queen, but you can’t be both” “then I choose to be your queen”
Favorite outfit- anything as long as she has a CROWN dang it
OTP- a loving home where she can spread magic and have PEACE
Brotp- Theo!! Axmurph were killing me this season!
Head Canon- one of the ways she bonds with her family is taking them on rides on Cinnamon! That feeling of freedom, of magic; it helps them understand her better, and it shows that they trust her. The first time Ruby goes flying with her, she tells her to hang on so they can do something cool, and Ruby instinctually wraps her arms around Saccharina. It’s the first time they hug. They don’t mention it, but they both get a little misty eyed.
Unpopular opinion- I really wanted a scene where she asked about Jet. She’s spent so long wanting a family, just to find out once again the church had taken the chance from her. i have some,, personal feelings about what that would be like and I really wish that her feelings about that had been explored a little more
A wish: oh let her be happy PLEASE. Her family may have gotten off on the wrong foot, but those bonds WILL grow
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen- if we had gotten the bad ending of them turning on each other,, oh god
5 words to best describe them- fierce, magical, powerful, resilient, strong
My nickname for them- I just love the nickname Rina for her!!

A lot of the knives you post are super cool looking but how usable are they? Would a rogue have a filigreed dagger in real life? What blade does your Iconic character use? Also I would love to see some ranged weapons as not all rogues like to be close to their target
Great questions, anon! This deserves a loooong answer.
Are the fancy daggers usable? Generally yes. Most of them are status symbols of some sort, but that doesn’t mean they don’t get the job done. Perhaps a handful of them are ceremonial or ornamental. Rule of thumb: if the blade is sharp and serviceable, and the hilt isn’t a weird novelty shape which can’t be reasonably gripped, they are very much usable, as tools and/or weapons.
Tumblr media
Miniature Ottoman gem-set dagger (11.7 cm. long), 19th c., an object of art.
Tumblr media
Spanish parrying dagger, c. 1675, real fancy, 100% usable.
Would a rogue carry such a fancy dagger in real life? It depends on what counts as a rogue in real life. If you’re picturing low-class petty thieves scraping a living in the urban underworld, they probably wouldn’t walk around with gem-encrusted daggers. Poor people in general wouldn’t have access to expensive items like that, and if they somehow did (say, illegally), they would rather sell them than carry them and be compromised.
Tumblr media
The slums - Assassin’s Creed Syndicate concept by Hugo Pazzuoli
Most of them wouldn’t have a dagger at all. (The violence of the criminal underworld has been systematically exaggerated in the legal records and the press/literature.) They would carry a small knife as a tool, much like everyone carried a knife, and its quality would depend on their income. They might use it to cut a purse, though most pickpockets relied solely on their deft fingers and misdirection. And those who weren’t above violence would generally carry a knife or a sword (laws/social norms permitting) or a big stick.
So couldn’t a blade be a status symbol for low-status people? Oh, it most definitely could. But what type of blade depended on the situation. Any Spaniard would prize his or her fancy navaja - except that “fancy” in this instance doesn’t mean covered in gems and gold, just well-made and pretty, and maybe with an inscription that drips with bravado. (“Valour!” “I am from Seville!” “Don’t open me without a reason and don’t close me without honour.”)
Tumblr media
Navaja, Albacete, Spain, 1883
Most Ottomans couldn’t afford a silver yatagan (i.e. with an intricately engraved silver scabbard and hilt), but a well-made sturdy knife with a bone handle and a few decorative touches was widely accessible. In many cultures, gifting a good knife to a teenager (usually, but not always, a boy) is a rite-of-passage custom that goes way back, and isn’t limited to rich kids.

In Venice and Florence, bravos were considered lowlife thugs, but that didn’t stop them from carrying intricate daggers and stilettos. Indeed, stilettos got a bad rap as “dishonourable” weapons because bravos were using them to stab people. (In contrast, nobles and soldiers stabbed people with rapiers, swords, and impunity.)
Tumblr media
Stiletto, Italy, 17th c.
The baselard became so popular in England at some point that it was considered a standard accessory for urban dwellers, regardless of class. So in contexts like this, a low-class rogue could easily carry a special, beautiful knife or dagger - though not obscenely expensive.
Tumblr media
Baselard
That said, rogues aren’t exclusively low-class or urban. Hotheaded gentlemen from England were one bankruptcy away from becoming highwaymen, and then they’d carry whatever swords and daggers (and guns) were available to their class. Rowdy European noblemen who kept stabbing each other in duels might be considered swashbucklers. Courtiers and courtesans could easily be portrayed as Charisma-based rogues, and some of them weren’t above backstabbing/poisoning the competition. Rural brigands and bandits came from all walks of life, from rich and powerful families/clans to dirt-poor farmers and shepherds, and they prized their fancy knives either way.
Tumblr media
The yatagan of the notorious Greek bandit Fotis Yagoulas
So in conclusion, the fancy knives and daggers I post aren’t exactly representative of Rogue weapons… but they’re not wildly irrelevant either. The most expensive ones are courtly daggers or presentation daggers, and it’d take some creativity to place them in the hands of a Rogue. And the majority of Rogues remains sadly under-represented, for practical reasons: low-class items don’t often find their way in museums and collections, and unlike gold and silver, a simple wooden handle will decompose over time. That said, lots of roguish folks have carried blades that are similar, at least in some regard, to these fancy knives. We just have to figure out the right context.
Plus, I’m super interested in the ethnographic aspect of this - if that’s the correct term. (Is it? Help, native speakers!) I mean, I like imagining Rogues, and I’d like to help others imagine Rogues, from all kinds of different places and cultures. Rogues and Fighters are universal classes out of the box. Nothing compels us to stick to imagery and inspiration from a small corner of the earth for anything, but for Rogues in particular it would be a crying shame. The Chinese have a whole epic for their bandits. The Mediterranean, all three continents around it, has been swarming with thieves for thousands of years, and yes, I’m proud of that. Brazil had cangaceiros, Ireland had rapparees, the Balkans had hajduks, Japan really had ninjas (though not in what’s usually recognisable as ninja attire). Arabic literature was the first to treat rogues as (anti-)heroes centuries before the idea appeared in Spain and then flourished in England. And pretty much everyone under the sun has a folk hero / Robin Hood figure who stole from the rich and gave to the poor.
Basically, the main point of posting knives and daggers from all over the globe is that roguish inspiration can indeed come from all over the globe, and I think that’s awesome.
On my iconic: Naddiyah’s city was heavily inspired by Ottoman era Algiers, and her dagger of choice comes from a little bit to the west: the Moroccan koummya.
Tumblr media
As for what I post here, oh, this is the archive. I’m trying to collect posts from my old blog, which was sadly deleted. If it occasionally floods your dashboard with a specific topic, it’s because I’m trying to recreate a whole tag or something. Sorry! The new Rogue blog is @theoutcastrogue. You’re right though, I have neglected ranged weapons. What do you prefer? Bows? Crossbows? I’m taking orders*. :D

tdbk, [85] Innocent Physical Contact and [40] Almost Kiss
***
“Carry the one here. No, here. Christ, are you even listening to me?” Bakugou lifts his finger from the textbook page to glare at Kirishima, whose head is beginning to lull. “Wake the fuck up when I’m teaching you, Shitty Hair.”
“We’re tired, Bakugou,” Kaminari grumbles from his spot beside Ashido on the other side of the cramped living room floor. “Training today was rough.”
Ashido and Sero groan their fatigued agreement. The only ones who don’t complain are Todoroki, who’s actually studying, and Kirishima, who’s definitely asleep.
“Training is rough every day, but that’s not a fucking excuse to slack off.” Bakugou scowls. “Do you want to pass your damn classes or not?”
Nobody answers: they’ve all dozed off while he was talking. Bakugou is about to give up all hope and take a nap himself when Todoroki speaks. “Do you understand this problem?”
“Huh?” Bakugou looks at him, and he’s still sprawled out on the floor on his stomach, legs crossed at the knees, frowning at his textbook. “You’re still awake?”
“Why wouldn’t I be?” Todoroki looks up for the first time in an hour, silently taking note of their sleeping friends. “Oh... Everyone else fell asleep?”
Bakugou sighs. He gets up and nudges Sero aside to sit down beside Todoroki, who shifts to make room for him. “What question were you asking about?” He leans closer, pausing when he notices the cold radiating off Todoroki’s skin. The others were right about the rumored ‘Todoroki Air Conditioning.’
“This one. I don’t understand what you do with this integer.”
“You have to separate these two terms first.” Bakugou takes the pencil from him to demonstrate. “Try the next one with the same method.”
Todoroki learns faster than the others. It’s a bit surprising, given how dense he always acts. He is in the top five in their class, but it’s still strange. Bakugou doesn’t even have to help him much beyond the first problem. He’ll ask something occasionally, but he never has follow-up questions.
After ten minutes have passed in silence, Bakugou hears a quiet snore. It slowly gets louder, tearing out of Kaminari’s mouth like the whirring of a chainsaw. It’s loud enough to be annoying, but quiet enough not to wake the others.
Todoroki glances at Bakugou, pencil stilling against paper. He mouths something that looks like, What should we do?
Bakugou jerks his head at the kitchen, and Todoroki nods. They silently pack up their books and climb over the couch, sequestering the dining table.
“I can’t believe they fell asleep,” Bakugou grumbles, pressing his pencil so hard against the paper that it stabs through. “I offer to help the morons and they fucking pass out.”
“It could be worse,” Todoroki replies evenly, wasting no time in getting back to work. That’s one admirable quality about him, as much as Bakugou hates to admit it. “Can you help me with this inequality?”
“Which one?” Bakugou leans his elbows against the table, leaning over the page. The cool air wafting from Todoroki’s cheek brushes against his own. “This? It’s pretty simple. Take care of this first and...” Bakugou trails off when he feels the cold shift. Out of the corner of his eye, he spots a blush staining Todoroki’s normally pale face.
What the hell? This is innocent physical contact. Why the fuck is he blushing?
Instead of storming off or punching him like he probably would under any other circumstances, Bakugou edges slightly away. “Um... take care of this first, and then solve for this.”
“Thanks. I got it.” Todoroki quickly moves away, putting more distance between them. It’s both relieving and disappointing, for reasons Bakugou can’t understand.
Several more minutes pass where neither of them speak. Pencil scratches across paper, and a clock ticks on the far wall. Bakugou tries to focus on his schoolwork, but his mind won’t stop revisiting the mental image of Todoroki’s blush. It’s the type that spreads to every part of the face, across the ears and down the neck. Invasive. Cute, a traitorous part of Bakugou’s brain thinks.
He doesn’t have much work left to do, actually. Neither does Todoroki. What happens when they both finish? Do they wake everyone up? Gah, Bakugou can’t even focus long enough to finish a single thought. What’s wrong with him all of a sudden? There are only three problems left. He just needs to focus on them.
Simplify the expression 2(a - 3) + 4b - 2(a - b - 3) + 5. Easy. Solve the equation |-2x + 2| - 3 = -3. Easy. Solve the equation
5(-3x - 2) - (x - 3) = -4(4x + 5) + 13. And done. But now there’s a bigger problem at hand.
Bakugou looks up to find Todoroki’s head bent low over his textbook, his hands empty and still. His hair is obscuring his eyes. Bakugou leans toward him for a better view, touching a hand to his shoulder. “Oi, you awake?”
Todoroki turns his head, and their eyes meet. It’s brief, but there’s a second where time stops. Their faces are so close that Todoroki’s breath breezes across Bakugou’s lips. Several long seconds pass before Bakugou jerks away from him, fighting the heat crawling up his neck.
“Sorry.” Todoroki’s face is red again, and he quickly lowers it. “I was distracted.”
‘Distracted.’
Bakugou wishes the excuse was convincing.
***
“I won’t help you idiots again after last time.”
“Pleasssseeeee?” Kaminari puts his hands in prayer position, jutting out his bottom lip like a pouting kid. “We won’t pass this test without you, man. We’re too stupid. You have to help.”
Bakugou sighs through his teeth, but he knows they won’t give up. “Fine. Meet at my room at four. If any of you are late, I’m locking you out.”
Or so he says. When Kirishima appears at four fifteen, Bakugou still opens the door for him—and is met with two idiots instead of one. “What the fuck? Why is he here?”
“He came last time, so I just assumed he was invited.” Kirishima pushes his way inside with a shrug. Todoroki follows him quietly, quickly looking away when Bakugou glares at him.
After the kitchen incident, the last thing Bakugou needs is to be in a confined space with Todoroki. But he can’t think of a valid reason to kick him out, either, so it looks like it’s a stalemate. Besides, it won’t end up like last time. There’s no way everyone will fall asleep again... Or is there?
Within an hour of arriving, everyone has passed out over their textbooks, leaving the room eerily silent. After getting over his annoyance, Bakugou glances at Todoroki nervously, but his face is resting against his arms. He crawls closer to see if he’s awake, even though he should’ve learned after last time that assumptions can be devastating.
It’s fine, though: Todoroki really is asleep. When Bakugou flicks his hair back with a pen, his eyes are closed and lips slightly parted. He’s actually kind of pretty when he sleeps. He’s got really long eyelashes, and his lips look soft...
Fuck. Bakugou jerks his hand away when it reaches out, but he can’t do much more than that. If he scoots backward an inch, he’ll hit Sero. Fuck. What the hell is he doing? This is crazy. Insane. He can’t really be thinking about... about what? Certainly not about Todoroki‘s blush, or avoid how easy it would be to touch his lips right now. How easy it would be to kiss him.
“Bakugou?” Todoroki murmurs. His eyes are open a sliver, and he’s staring at Bakugou’s hand—at his thumb, which is currently pulling down Todoroki’s bottom lip.
Bakugou tries to retreat, but Todoroki grabs his wrist. “Wait.”
As much as he wants to tell, Bakugou keeps quiet to avoid waking the others. Todoroki’s desperate grip is so strong that he can’t break free. “Let go, bastard,” he hisses, trying not to focus on the feeling of Todoroki’s fingertips against his racing pulse.
“No.” Todoroki jerks him forward by the arm, pushing him down and straddling him in a way that’s quiet and efficient, like everything the asshole does. He’s blushing, despite the confrontational action. “What were you doing before?”
“Nothing.” Bakugou turns his head away so he doesn’t have to look at him when they’re so close together. “Let me up, you psycho.”
“You were going to kiss me,” Todoroki whispers with such certainty that there isn’t room for denial. “You were thinking about it before, too. In the kitchen.” The color of his face is making Bakugou’s head spin. Red, like roses.
“You’re out of your mind,” Bakugou tries to say. Meeting Todoroki’s eyes is what gets him. His eyes are filled with uncertainty, even while his expression remains passive. His hands tremble faintly against Bakugou’s wrists. He’s nervous.
When their lips touch, the shaking stops. Todoroki’s hands go slack, followed by his whole body. Bakugou is experiencing much the same thing. His core feels like it’s melting.
Todoroki’s fingers slide into Bakugou’s, latching on and pressing their joined hands against the carpet. Bakugou almost flinches when a leg slips between his knees, but he doesn’t have time to react before Todoroki’s tongue makes his mind go totally numb.
So much for ‘innocent physical contact.’ Right now, the only touch Bakugou wants is the opposite of innocent.

Conker:  Live and Reloaded (Xbox)
Tumblr media
youtube
I missed out on Conker’s Bad Fur Day when it was released on the Nintendo 64 in 2001.  By that point I had moved on to the Playstation and wouldn’t look back on a Nintendo console until the release of the Gamecube.
So it’s about time I rectified that... sort of.  I’m going to be honest - it’s hard for me to play an N64 game for this blog because I find the graphics so damn ugly by today’s standards.  Also, I don’t own an N64, so I’m limited to whatever is available on virtual arcade or a decent emulator.  So given the choice between playing an authentic but ugly (and I mean *butt* ugly) N64 version of Conker’s Bad Fur Day or the prettier Xbox remake that only cost $10 on Xbox Live... I went with the latter.  From what I understand, though, the gameplay between the two games are very similar, with the only major difference being Microsoft’s odd choice of censoring a lot of the language and some of the content in Conker:  Live & Reloaded.  I could care less, though, because what’s left over is pretty vile, crude stuff so I can’t imagine an UNCUT version would make any difference to me.
So with that out of the way, Conker:  Live & Reloaded was released for Xbox in 2005.  Hold on, 2005?  I bet my favorite show in 2005, XPlay, covered this game!
youtube
I knew it!  I miss that show... :’(
...
.....
...........
GAH - sorry, started thinking of Morgan Webb too much.  In Conker: Live & Reloaded, you navigate Conker through a series of outrageous misadventures that all happen in the span of a single day.  Poor Conker gets roped into everything from delivering poop for giant beetles to eat, to getting drafted into a full-scale war against Nazi teddy bears, to participating in a Matrix-inspired bank heist.
Wthin each scenario, you objective is clear:  make money and lots of it.  Big stacks of sentient, backtalking cash are this game’s version of the star from Mario 64 or the Jiggies from Banjo-Kazooie.  However, unlike those games, you won’t spend a lot of time scouring every level high-and-low for the location of the monies, as giving the player a collect-a-thon scavenging hunt ain’t really the point of Conker’s Bad Fur Day - it’s making fun of those gaming tropes, among others, that seems to be the game’s motis operendi.
Which is both the game’s appeal and something I can imagine would push people away from playing it.  The game is full of cut scenes, all of which you cannot skip unless you’ve seen them at least once.  This wouldn’t be so bad except the quality of the voice acting is... not great.  Apparently, the voice cast consisted of exactly three people: one guy to handle all the male voices, one woman to handle all the female voices, and another guy to play the Great Mighty Poo.  So when you have so few people handling so many voices, quality is bound to suffer, and the delivery of some of these lines feel very much like what it is: cheap and quickly recorded.  My fingers reflexively, and futilely, pressed buttons to skip the dialogue portions everytime because I found the voice acting quality so grating.
Then there’s the vulgarity.  Look, I loved South Park like most people my age, and I’m sure I would have thought this game’s attempt at matching South Park poop-for-vomit was the bee’s knees, but as an adult who has “been there, done that”, I found it crass.  It’s way too obvious that game was made to take advantage of that particular brand of comedy, without taking into account South Park’s irreverence and sometime intelligent, scathing social commentary.  That show was, and is, a lot more than shit jokes.
In Conker’s defense, after I spent more and more time with the game, I began to grok that it’s more than a game about shit jokes too.  I started off absolutely hating the game.  I found the combat to be irritating and the game itself to be mind numbingly tedious.  The further I got, though, I started to realize that the game wasn’t really supposed to be a game, so much as a game parody - kind of like an early version of “game parodies” one might consider Frog Fractions to be.  Once I started playing Conker with that mindset, I was able to enjoy much more.
It’s certainly a unique enough game I’d consider it a must-play if one is exploring the N64 library.  I wouldn’t say it’s a lost gem that everyone should drop their Switches or PS4 controllers to run and check out though.
