I am a historic, "let me put this on hold meanwhile I figure it out"-er. 🤔 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I put my passion & purpose on pause 🤐for years because I couldn't figure out what I wanted my message to be, or my brand, or my services. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ That's ok, there's nothing wrong with that. I used that time to focus on skills-development and, frankly, there was a lot going on (including bouts of severe depression). 😫 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But, in that time, I also realized I no longer wanted to put my vision on hold meanwhile I "figured it out". ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It was a switch I made in a few areas of my life, including in my decision to finally create the content that had been sitting in my soul for years. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Messages that had sat idle because I couldn’t figure out how I wanted to position my messages... what it would all lead to and why...🐚 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You can see that choice play out in my Instagram account. So. Jetzt ist es offiziell… … ich bin auf den Tag genau neun Jahre in England. Nachdem wir Hals über Kopf nach Mexiko gezogen waren, um dort unseren Lebenstraum nachzugehen und in die mexikanische Kultur einzutauchen, ging es ebenso wirbelwindig knapp zwei Jahre später wieder Richtung Europa. Schwanger mit meinem zweiten Kind (das erste hatte ich leider noch in der Frühschwangerschaft verloren), 4 Koffer, schlotternde Knie (vor Aufregung und bedingt durch den Temperaturunterschied von fast 30 Grad) und zum ersten Mal im Leben zu 100% planlos standen wir nach einer epischen Zugfahrt von Duisburg nach Rugby am Bahnhof und wurden von Daniels Grandpa in Empfang genommen. Ich würde so gerne die Uhren noch einmal zurückdrehen, meinem 25-jährigen Ich ins Ohr flüstern, dass alles gut – ja, sogar unvorstellbar gut – werden würde, und mich fest in den Arm nehmen. Kind auf dem Weg nach einer traumatischen Fehlgeburt. Bis auf den Inhalt vierer Koffer kein Hab und Gut. Kaum Geld. Kein Job. Kein Haus. Keine Möbel. Ich: mitten im zweiten Bachelorstudium. Daniel: mitten in der Trauer um seine Mama. Nach 4 Monaten bei Grandpa hatten wir dann Jobs, ein Haus, eine einfache aber schöne Einrichtung von einem schwedischen Möbelhaus, ich hatte meine Bachelorarbeit fertig und war mit Grandpa im Philarmonic Choir jeden Dienstag singen. Eine verrückte, turbulente Zeit und das völlige Kontrastprogramm von unserem Leben unter Palmen. Und doch: irgendwie haben wir es wieder geschafft, uns neue Ziele zu setzen, ins Handeln zu kommen und neue Träume zu verwirklichen. Neun Jahre, die sich rückblickend wie ein halbes Leben anfühlen.
