SplendorDad headcanons (because if Slenderdad can be a thing so can this)

Splendor Man always dreamed of being a dad because he knew that he would be a great dad.

He took Trickster Ben in when Trickster Ben "died" from getting stuck by lightning.

Trickster Ben is basically the first child he adopted.

He's basically like that dad who adopts every kid he find.

He loves it when Jenny Smile does his makeup.

Nina was a bit hard to bond with at first because she was so reserved with Splendor after Slender kicked her out of his mansion.

Splendor did everything to build trust with Nina, like giving her clean clothes after she finished her murdering business and giving her her favorite food.

He was the one who killed Uncle Johnny after Sally got killed by him and took Sally into the mansion to give her a loving home (though it took Sally longer than Nina to trust him fully).

He tries his best to bond with each of the happypastas as best as he can.

He's the best when it comes to comforting his children after they have nightmares.

Despite his nice personality, Splendor is not afraid to get stern with his children and will punish them if they do anything wrong (like taking away music privileges or having a stern talk to them).

Will ask his children what's wrong if he notices that they look sad.

The first time he heard his daughters call him dad, he cried himself to sleep because of how happy he was.

Splendor often has Candy Pop and Jason to help him with Baby Zalgo.

He hangs up all of Sally's and Callie's drawing on the fridge.

He bought Cutie Jack his own snowcone machine so Cutie Jack didn't have to use his.

He often tries to convince his other brothers that he doesn't need help but Tender insists and helps him with the other kids.

He often hosts game night to bond with his kids and see them bond with each other.

He also hosts a lot of movie nights and gets all the snacks and candy for his kids so they have a ton of options.

He tells a ton of dad jokes like his brother, Slender.

He will protect his children by any means necessary.

Nina is his killer princess and the one he is most close to.

Spoils Jeff the Hugger and Kindhearted Liu the most by giving them a ton of plushies and blankets.

He gives out the best dad hugs.

He will tender to his kids every need if they're sick or hurt.

Mainly it's the fear of growing up that he's afraid of. Next second that passes will be him walking his child down the aisle.

He remembers how small they once were, and carrying them upside down from a tendril before they could talk beyond baby-babbles.

And now they're bringing someone home for a loving date! How time truly does fly.

And yet, it seems as if he looks the same since you can remember being picked up for the first time.

All Slender wants to to make sure that his child knows what they want in a person, and what's important about relationships.

He will sit them down in his office, and explain what being in love should truly mean.

No consistent yelling, no belittling, no being shoved to the side when the person is with their friends. Things such as that.

He just wants to see them happy, is all. And if that means giving you a $50 bill for a nice date and drive home, then so be it.

Offender

He's been there, done that.

As a father, of course he will be a little protective of his child. He knows how kids are, and how stupid they can be.

He's done a lot of stupid stuff that turned out to be good stories.

But still, running from the cops as a teenager proved to be stupid as hell. And bringing his youngest brother was even more of an error.

He'll ask where you're going, when you're leaving/returning, and who you'll be going with.

He won't call you during the date, but if it's getting close to your curfew, he'll shoot you a text to tell you it's time to start heading home.

And if you don't answer, he knows how to track you down and embarrass you.

Offender is a very chill guy, you'll be able to do your own thing as long as you're not causing trouble or in the dumps about things. He steps in when he needs to, but otherwise, life is an experience that only you will be able to decipher.

Trender

Haha oh no oh fuck

See, Trender never really 'dated' in his younger years.

He was always a homebody, and never really had interest in romance until he reached his adult era.

He'll help you get ready for your date, and tell you which clothes go with which shoes, as well as styling your hair for you.

But other than that, he's really at a loss for any relationship advice outside of everything that already makes you nervous.

He'll tell you to be careful, and then list everything that you should be afraid of, and tops it off with "have fun, though!"

It's advised to call an uncle if you want some real advice that's not fear mongering.

Trender just watches too much tiktok.

Splendor

He's super excited and just as nervous as you are!!

As your father/father figure, he's extremely involved in your life, and might accidentally overstep that parental boundary into a 'best-friend' relationship.

He just loves you so much that he wants to be included in everything!!

He has a lot of stories to tell, being the youngest he always got to bother his older siblings about 'more-than-friends' that they brought home.

Most of which thought he was the cutest thing, and was invited to hangout on the couch until they had to leave.

He'll tell you to be careful, and to stand your ground if you don't like something, even if it's just bad food someone is trying to get you to try!

And when you come home, he'll see your date off with a nice handshake and ask about all the details.

Detailed Headcanon Time: Splendor's bells

Splendor's bells, first and foremost, are attached completely to his tendrils. Removing them would cause him significant pain. Secondly, he was not born with them. They were originally normal bell decorations, but I think Splendor sewed them on when he was a kid for some reason or another. Eventually, his tendrils ended up growing around where they connected, so they're completely attached.

They gained their semi-sentience after extended direct exposure to Splendor's blood, over a few decades. They are not fully aware, though, and only act in response to Splendor's feelings.

And yes, they will bite people. (Much to Splendor's dismay)
