Hello! I'm curious about your BATDR au, with "Dad Sammy". I hope it's okay if I ask some questions:

How does this au's ending differ from the canon ending (if it differs at all besides Sammy's not dead and Bendy and Audrey are still in the ink world)? Did we have the big Monster Bendy showdown like in the game or did something else happen? Can Audrey and Bendy travel between worlds?

Also, with reference to the comic of Henry and Sammy talking about Bendy, is Bendy trapped in his toon form again or is he choosing to be stay that way? Can he still turn into the Ink Demon?

oh it is absolutely alright to ask me questions, i love talking about my aus! thank you so much :] and sorry that this is being answered multiple hours late, i was busy with college

essentially, everything in BATDR happens the same, it's post-game where things start to diverge. sammy did die, the showdown happened, bendy and audrey did merge before and the loop got reset, though i think the city and the trains and all the new places we saw in BATDR still exist because they may have been sort of "hardcoded" into the loop by wilson. now that audreys in charge of the ink realm, i think she'd help as many people back out of the puddles, and take some creative liberties here and there (focusing in on sam, he came back a little more sheepy because everyone unanimously decided to suggest it to audrey without telling her that he'd HATE it. poor girl. he got over it, mostly), especially to make life more bearable.

audrey and bendy can travel between worlds, and i actually think that at least for this au, most everyone can. most dont, however, as they'd still be ink monsters/toons outside. that might be subject to change, though, i haven't super decided.

bendy isnt trapped in this form, he's actually gotten a bit more control over which form he takes now. he does, however, often choose the toon form because people like him more when he looks like that. this is an important part of the au to me, how people treat others differently/expect them to act differently based on appearances. ben sometimes could, if he wanted to, turn back into the Ink Demon, but since theres near universal hate for that form, he doesnt often.

i think one of the factors that does influence his transformation is fear. if he feels scared, or weak, or trapped, he wouldnt be able to transform back into the ink demon until those feelings have passed. he has to feel fairly comfortable and sure of himself in order to. does any of this make any sense?? i am just rambling

Mainly the fact that like Rose's introverted/timid personality never changed even after they're married. So basically he would STILL be always flustered whenever he gets a compliment even after they were married for years lol. And antasma sorta just keeps teasing him like that, he KNOWS he'll become beet red ,he just thinks it's so funny .

he sorta just pulls the whole nicknames dictionary on him lol .it's funny because it's the duality of like Rose's dumb aah going on with things like "Your majesty/highness/terror/evilness, sire, my king " .And Taz DEADPAN JUST like "Rosey, little red, princey, mignon , devotee ". (Cuz Rose has zero ideas how to flirt and he's more comfortable never actually calling Taz by his name)

You gotta face the facts, CC, ciaran's Mom is now popular, lmao. I can imagine Ciaran's Mom becoming popular with the Demon brothers (+Side characters) because they all desperately need a mother figure in their ancient lifetime.

Imagine her bringing Lucifer coffee/tea and snacks when he’s working late finishing his paperwork. Scolding Satan to clean his messy room. Sewing Belphies Pillow cuz it got somehow ripped. Cooking Traditional Irish food for Beel. Drinking tea with Barbatos. Spending time with the Angel trio, listening to Simeon talk about his book TSL, baking with Luke together and preventing Raphael from using his speer and so on.

But then there's Diavolo, who never had a mother figure, and maybe that got break her heart. So, despite being the future king of hell, pulling him into a hug to comfort him only for Diavolo, to almost tear up. Diavolo might ask Ciaran to marry him so that he could gain a mother-in-law (among other reasons to marry them).

And then there's Ciaran in the background witnessing all of this. Bonus: Ciaran's mom pulling out an old photo book with baby pictures of Ciaran.

And she would absolutely do all of those things, bringing Lucifer coffee and sewing up Belphie's pillow and so on~

But OH. OH NO. DIAVOLO.

Now listen, if Diavolo wanted a mom figure, she'd adopt him without him needing to marry Ciaran. She'd be like "Go on and marry them if you like, love, but either way, you're my adopted son now."

Meanwhile Ciaran is like "Mom you're Catholic. Are you sure you can just adopt the next Demon King like that?"

To which she would say, "Being kind to everyone is the Christian thing to do, Ciaran."

Though if Diavolo still wanted to marry Ciaran, I think that'd be pretty dang adorable. I've never really thought about their relationship beyond the surface level friendship, but I think they'd be super cute together.

Either way, Ciaran's mom is happy to give him motherly hugs whenever he likes. Man, that image of him tearing up is doing something to my poor heart!!

Oh but now I'm imagining her making Ciaran bring her back to the human world for mass and confession. She's in the confessional like, "Father, I have been cavorting with demons."

okay, if it is not obvious, i have thought SO MUCH about disability in exandria, so heres a general worldbuilding headcannon vs character based hc but it's shown that disability isn't overly impactful in exandria. basically everything we've seen ranging from pcs like shakaste to big npcs like dancer and also smaller one off pcs like the moorbounder dealer in the city of beasts, whatever the name is, they're fully functional within society despite major physical disabilities and theres functionally not a whole lot of ableism at a surface level when it comes to worldbuilding (thanks matt).

however..... its not hard (for me) to extrapolate how the dynasty in particular would have a not great view on disability (thank u cherry for putting it into words as i was charlie day-ing over coping skills early on). it's not something that i talk about explicitly in coping skills (and may not since it would be really info dumpy and not vibe with the way i write or characterize the wizards lmao) but it's something ive spent a great deal of time thinking thru for the dang fic and my in-head notes are basically a) in a modern setting like coping skills, the healthcare situation moves at a glacial pace partly because elves live forever so what is a several year wait for a non emergent specialist issue and b) major disabilities, things that impact daily living to a significant degree that cannot be "fixed" with magic, are at best really only tolerated until anamnesis or consecution so the body can be reset into a more perfect form

i could wax poetic about the nitty gritty as it relates to coping skills specifically, but that is like, the base premise of 90% of the fic lmao

Boring answer would be Childe-National ig. He's so underbuilt even though he's triple-crowned because of my dang artifact luck. But XL-Kazuha-Bennett helps him carry anyways lmao. Childe is so much fun idc if this is a predictable answer. Alternative is using Lyney instead of Childe. Lyney and his Aqua Simulacra is me teasing Childe that he can't do big damage (even though Childe is consistent lmao)

Ayato-Diona-Yunjin-Mika/Chongyun is fast as hell, absolutely busted of a freeze-team. I love using this a ton. Ayato never leaves my party anyways so any team with him is just gold. Ayato is the DPS and the rest are there for S P E E D. My alternative freeze is Ayaka-XQ-Kazuha-(any healer/Baizhu) on the other side of the abyss whenever I feel like I use Childe too much.

I call Alhaitham-Kuki-Sucrose-XQ team educational lmao. Idk if that's an actual team name for them, but they're so fun to use together. That and it's always nice to go "Alhaitham no— ALHAITHAM—" when I mess up on the jump. Can you tell I play on mobile.

Crack DPS Baizhu-Yaoyao-Fischl-Mona is the funniest thing too. My Mona is underleveled as hell but I gotta use my accidental C1 Baizhu to good use (this would've been you Kaveh but you refused to give me cons and now look at Baizhu—). I've used DPS Yaoyao at some point. That 4-star polearm in the shop works wonders on her HAHAHAHA

Headcanon (?): I like to headcanon that Ayaka knows what she's doing a lot. It's just hard for me to comprehend what happened in the Inazuma AQ otherwise. I can't wrap my head around the idea that Ayaka is 100% sweet and the perfect housewife the internet portrays her as, etc. Same goes with Thoma. He's a fixer. In real life, that's a person who handles illegal arrangements. All righty I’ve finished science brofist’s route and that means more rambling! (Seriously though everyone sees his name as that right?? How the hell else am I supposed to pronounce Scien Brofiise??? It sure as hell ain’t how they say it in Japanese! 😂) spoilers under the cut as usual

Hmm… overall while I liked it, I think I’ve been so thoroughly emotionally and mentally broken by Mathis and Lucas that Scien’s route seemed pretty… tame in comparison LOLOL 💀 or maybe I’m still on residual WTFs from Lucas and should’ve waited another day to let it settle oops

The pain meter from these first three to me is Lucas > Mathis > Scien

The ending was definitely still a big oof and a little yikes though 😬. But with how dubious the “science” is in this game, part of me was wondering why Scien couldn’t just make a clone from Ceres’s body and then stick the memories he had into her after? Like people save memory backups of themselves prior to dying so why couldn’t he have saved her memories on whatever constitutes a USB stick in this world lmao

The science in this game in general honestly I just… can’t think about too deeply or it all falls apart LOL, being in like the medieval ages where you still gotta hand wash clothes but then suddenly having shit like electric cars, headset phones, touch-holograms, and perfect cloning with memories but not emotions is such whiplash 😂

The final CG was super pretty though, oof the expression on his face, my poor babygirl 😩 but… why are all the kiss CGs… not super great LOL, is the artist bad at drawing kisses? Because so far they’ve all looked a little uhhhh in each route? 😬😂

i haven’t figured it all out yet. but REALLY liking this go won meeting seo yul and u know it would be fun to throw naksu in the fun. young naksu, brain full of only revenge, who has had Barely any human interactions. go won, the crown prince, petty and haunty and insufferable but heart in right place. and seo yul !!! follower of the Rules, the golden boy, on a quest and dealing with family problems idk. BECOMING FRIENDS. SAVING THE WORLD.

but ! also ! it feels So Wrong to not have jang uk anywhere in the story because in my mind — eventually he and naksu’s paths cross and they have epic romance because I’m otp trash. so like idk. oh like he’s still the late king’s son but this time….it’s not the soul swap thing that happens but jang gang…? god what was his not-father’s name. i don’t remember. wait. what if hmmmmm. i still want park jin involved in jang uk’s life and have their whole Awful Thing. hey wait what if…. urgh, the thoughts r Not connecting. anyways so basically: there is something happening abt jang uk’s birth and stuff and idk he can’t do magic…? or there’s a seal on it. but HE doesn’t know it. no one tells him. he just knows that he’s the only who doesn’t have ability to Magic. which is, yeah. but as our trio gets tangled with all this stuff that’s going on —

wow! this was certainly a journey ahahaha.
