Possibilities

A line in the water will always catch my attention. I keep hoping to witness a  man-vs.-fish drama amid the smattering of surf anglers on Hilton Head’s 12-mile-long South Beach. 

But in four years I’ve witnessed only fishing. Never catching.

Patience is, of course, the lifeblood of fishing, accompanied by a philosophical outlook. As it says on a website summarizing the fishing opportunities here:

"If you’re not worried about filling the cooler or reeling in a monster, you can have plenty of fun fishing from dry land." And there’s no danger of sinking.

Theoretically, anglers can catch redfish and bluefish from the beach. There’s a chance - a possibility. That’s all an angler needs.

Church on the Beach: A Fishing Adventure

Tania and I decided to have church on the beach back on October 10, 2021. We fished from 7:30am to about noon. We didn't catch much but we got to experience God's creation on a beautiful day. We pray all who go fishing this weekend have tight lines!

What I’ve been up to recently!

Upgraded my betta Sekiro to a slightly larger tank — he’s much more active than my long finned betta who’s in a different aquarium, so he definitely needed the extra space. Probably spent way too much money on plants lol

I’ve got a glass canopy lid on the way (fingers crossed it fits lol), but other than that I’m pretty happy with where it’s at :)

#yes he is named Sekiro after the fromsoft game #also in this tank there’s a handful of ghost shrimp + 1 nerite snail + 1 blue mystery snail #this is a 5.5 gallon tank while his previous tank was 3.5 (too small for anything but an old long fin betta or shrimp imo) #he seems MUCH happier and less bored / no more glass surfing #I am not a beginner fish keeper but I am still learning #betta fish #bettablr #fish #fishblr #aquarium #forrestmurmers

sockeye salmon have that life cycle thing where they uh die after they hit sexual maturity...and i really didn't want that to be the case for anthro salmon since it leaves them at somewhat of a disadvantage. so instead she just dulls and gets more distorted with age.
