I’m always thinking about that post that said the other houses thought Gideon was Harrow’s beef cake cavalier because that’s exactly what she is.

Harrow got the invite and immediately said ‘no way I’m taking Ortus, how can I make Griddle come’ but she didn’t even realize that Gideon was considered actually good with her sword until they got there! She was just supposed to be eye candy! The fact that she’s one of the best sword fighters alive was purely a coincidence!!

listen just. one of my most dearly held traffic!joel headcanons is that he’s most comfortable when he’s on his red life. like, yeah, he’s one misstep away from dying, but on red, he knows where he stands. on red, everyone is his enemy, and he gets to kill them, which is very fun. he can indulge in bloodlust, scare people, and know that everyone is technically also his enemy. easy. on his other lives, sure he can cause chaos, but it’s not the same. no killing people if he’s yellow or green, right? and worse, when he’s yellow or green, some people aren’t his enemy, and that’s like, not his thing. he’s not here for the political games of the server. he’s not even really here to try that hard with alliances. he’s here to kill things. so red is most comfortable for him. being on red is a relief. he’ll be angry about it, sure, but he knows what he’s doing on red. once he’s there, he’s finally in his element.
