So while I'm on the topic of Matoran with unusual colour schemes, imagine what it must be like to be this unnamed member of the Ta-Koro Guard, the only Ta-Matoran in Ta-Koro, and I'm pretty certain the entire series, to not have a speck of red in his armour

An incomplete piece of concept art I found in my 2018 folder of Jalka [Jaller] and the different military ranks for fire villagers ["Toronaita"].
The notes at the bottom is me trying to divide military personnel into different ranks and see how many people would be needed, at minimum, for a semi-functioning military organization.
Lore/Worldbuilding: Fire Village + Military
All fire villagers are trained in military combat, with each citizen needing to complete a tour of duty for 2/3 of the year on a rotating schedule [with some exceptions]:
4 months of farming [various foods grown throughout the year]
4 months of stationary/reserve duty at the village,
4 months of scouting/island/"military for hire" duty across the region
Hairstyle determines the social position and/or military rank of citizens in Toronaita civilization. Those with more complex and/or lengthy hairstyles have been awarded specific honours in combat or military service, and as such, they are not required to shave their heads after their annual duty is complete.
Hairstyle 1: Civilian/Farmer hair
Hairstyle 2: Shaved head at the end of annual service [i.e. transition back to civilian duties]
Hairstyle 3: Traditional military service hairstyle, low rank
Hairstyles 4, 5, 6: Various military awards, honours, or rankings given in service [incomplete]
However, wearing braids, twists, or dreads in the hair without being given the right by a superior officer is a major offence and is akin to plagiarism or self-awarding badges of honour.

LIFTOR Mech
Aqua Magna, c. 100,000 AGR
Always useful for heavy duty work, these powerful machines can be seen daily on the docks of Meki-Nui. The legacy of toa Nuparu's inventions from ages past lives on.

My bionicle oc joins two Ta-Matoran sitting by a campfire
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The two of them called Toa Seradoka over, and he decided to humor them since there was nothing else he had planned.
I love drawing my bionicle oc. I like to explain why takanuva changed his name by thinking that the singular Toas of smaller islands usually rename themselves for the cool factor, but entire Toa teams usually don’t do it because that would be too confusing.
Also, have this:

Ok so there's a Barbie Mugshot meme going around, can you make one of Jaller and Takua
Tumblr media
Figured I'd better capitalize on this meme before too many people beat me to it

i like to think that because a lot of expletives are based on anatomy/bodily functions (at least in english) that glatorian and agori would have such language and that MU inhabitants would be confused by it since they don't have those same bodily functions

Don't mind me just,
Vakama: Would you guys be there for me, if I was going through something?
Jaller: No.
Lhikan: Nope.
Jaller: Absolutely not.
Takua: (Laughing)
Jaller: I hope it sucks, whatever you're through.
Lhikan: "I hope it sucks?"
(Laughter)
Takua: I hope it emotionally scars you for the rest of your life.
Jaller: I hope you reach out to me so I can ignore you.
(More laughter)
Lhikan: I can't wait to go to your funeral knowing I could've changed that outcome.
(So much laughter)
Vakama: Oh, BROTHER! What the hell!?
Takua: This got real, real quick.
Vakama: I was just asking if you would be there for me!
(They're all fine, don't worry)

The Toa Otoka The Toa Otoka were the second Toa Team to be formed on Okoto Nui. They were formed in response to Matoran going missing along side sightings of strange, never before seen Rahi.
Each of the members of this team knew each other prior to becoming Toa, having met in Metru Nui before the Reformation. Though they bicker at times, they work together fairly well as a team. Emana Toa of Psionics and a former Scholar and Archaeologist. She worked for the Grand Archives and studied the Agori Ruins found across the island. Though she wasn't much of a fighter, she was trained in fencing, training she puts to use as a Toa. She has an interest in the macabre, something she shares with Vhoke. She and Rakewii are in a relationship.
Rakewii Toa of Fire and mask maker. Rakewii lived in the hustle and bustle of Ta-Ifo working as a mask maker for a local mask shop. He has decent aim making him a perfect sharp shooter for his team. He's often jokey and rarely takes things seriously. He and Emana are in a relationship.
Rakota Toa of Lightning and village guard. Rakota can be incredibly blunt and rather impatient at times, but she cares deeply for her friends. She's closest to Melu, as both traveled together across Mata Nui before the move back to Metru Nui. She owns a pair of Sentinel Hounds.
Vhoke Toa of Plant Life and a former Rahi care taker. She worked at a rescue shelter in her village on Okoto Nui and has very extensive knowledge of Rahi. Her hands and feet had been modified, both for defense and locomotion. She has a pet Guurii.
Akale Toa of Iron and former caravan guard. Akale is the leader. He is the most outwardly mature, and his time as a caravan guard in Po-Oko gave him all the experience he needed to lead and protect others. He wields a heavy blaster, which has only become more powerful as a Toa.
Melu Toa of Air and former courier. Most of the Toa Team met each other through Melu. Even before the Great Cataclysm, he worked as courier in Metru Nui. He and Rokota met and traveled together on Mata Nui, and after the return to Metru Nui he met and befriended Emana and Rakewii, and would later meet Vhoke and Akale on Okoto Nui. He's not the most heroic individual, but tries his best to be useful for his team.
Though they aren't part of the Toa Team, there are several other Matoran tied to this team that try to help them in their efforts to find the source of these strange Rahi and why they are kidnapping Matoran.

Don't mind me, just thinking about how Vakama created the G1 Mask of Time and also had the powers of the G2 Mask of Time as an innate ability, and what the heck that might mean.
And also about how Kapura's innate ability seems to work suspiciously similarly to the G1 Mask of Time and how that plays into all this.

I took your quiz and got Psionics. Why must you call me out like this? The description is accurate af, but is there a rule where a Ta-Matoran couldn't have the traits of a Ce-Matoran? Because I personally identify Fire as my element.
As far as I’m concerned, there are no hard and fast “rules” for personality, and the quiz is based entirely on generalisation and speculation. Funny you should mention the ta- and ce- example, since Toa Orde is more or less the reverse of that ( ie Ce-Toa with a brash and hot headed personality) And we have certainly had caring and compassionate Fire Toa such as Lhikan and Norik. Kapura also fits for the “complete weirdo” aspect.
There’s also nothing wrong with retaking and seeing what else you get if you tweak a few answers, or all of them for that matter. It’s pretty common for more than one of the answers to resonate with people. The reality is, none of this is real in that we don’t actually have secret elemental energies that this quiz uncovers, we’re just here to have fun. I know I certainly drew on multiple aspects of myself when I wrote some of the answer profiles, so it would make sense that multiple elements might resonate with other people too.

The earth hums to Onua.
He senses every vibration for miles around him; the distinct steps of many Matoran, the pounding of blacksmiths hammers in ta-koro above, heards of rahi barrelling through ko-wahi.
A tapestry of information endlessly passes through Onua's mind. It is a great tectonic plate carved with softly glowing runes, scraping through his thought-scape.
He stands stone still, considering everything the earth shares with him.
The earth beneath is old. Echoes of vibrations from the ancient past still move through it, nearly imperceptible.
Nearly.
Onua listens harder. He hears voices that haven't spoken in millenia, but he doesn't understand the language.
There is a thread. A thread he can follow.
He pushes a synapse of his brain out on the forth axis of spatial dimensionality.
There are two voices, distinct yet similar. One cries out like a wild Rahi, the other is stoic and cold.
