Being known as one of the most crucial stages of life; Teenage comes with its own pros and cons. It is often said that it either makes you or breaks you!

Being a teenager myself; I would like to address an issue that is often not discussed at all!!! I myself come from a society in which arrange marriages are much more preferred then the love marriages..though they are not compulsory but you see people here think that the arrange marriages work out much better then the loved ones even if the spouses are not in love in the former ones. But not all the arrange marriages are same!!!!

According to me, arrange marriages most probably work out much better either because the spouses do not have any expectation from each other or due to the pressure of society . OR most importantly they might stay together for their childrens' welfare..

But the story does not end here ...with it comes along the fights, taunts; abuse and much more.

But in all this...we the so called 'SOCIETY' forget about the children that the spouses might have in future!! Have you ever thought about what a child/teenager might think seeing all those aimless fights which never end because one of them can't let go of their ego...

For eg: Just imagine its your birthday in a few minutes... and then its 12:00 am and your spouse is sitting right beside you and not wishing you even after everybody else in the family has!! And then he straight way ignores you for the whole night and wishes you in the morning!! And sitting right beside them both is their daughter who's a teenager and observes every single thing from not wishing to ignoring to not giving a shit about the feelings of the other person!

These senseless and aimless fight just makes the teenagers believe that good arrange marriages never exist!! Which in my perspective is not true even though I have never seen one myself.. But I surely wish to see one in this lifetime of mine! Would love to know your thoughts and experiences about the same!!

ode to the dark

sends to sleep pulls in the weak origin of the unknown where outsiders are prone most don't see what i appreciate most will leave while i stay i see the depths of the night the devourer of light the spawn of fright sempiternal fear everything & nothing is near all my conflicts remain still all shall rest at will darkness allows people to get away as in the light, they cannot stay although tension may ponder stark , we will always cower in the dark .

"life doesnt get better, you just get stronger" does NOT include ages 11-17. life does in fact just get better from there. those years are dogshit. like, you do get stronger but its mostly just a factor of not being 11-17 anymore. positive thinking helps but it doesnt fix whatevers going on at 15, you have to brute force through that one raw

Unpopular opinion but the reason being a teenager sucks is less to do with hormones and social cliques and more to do with the fact adults fucking hate teenagers. The fact that adults expect teenagers to be able to take on adult responsibilities yet don't deserve rights of an adult. They don't see teenagers as human beings and they aren't prepared to see kids with their own formed identities and humanity. Teenagers are so sexualized and seen as needing to take on more and more adult responsibilities. Yet when they want rights and humanity they are denied. The years your brain spends wanting nothing more than to form an identity are being taken away from you. Teenagers are essentially being kicked out of social spaces unless they have an extra 40 dollars lying around anytime they want to go out. Teenagers being kicked out of the mall just for existing or groomed into the school to prison pipeline. And now creating legislation to keep them off the Internet. Our society hates teenagers. And does everything we can to hurt them. The fact that anyone makes it out of their teenage years without trauma is a fucking miracle frankly.
