obikin saw au where everyone thinks is full of gore but it's actually very sad because anakin is haunted by obi-wan's sacrifice for all eternity.

obi-wan is getting on palpatine's nerves, so he thinks of a way to get rid of the jedi master forever and finally lay claim on anakin. but if he wants obi-wan's power over anakin to finally die for good he needs to demystify the jedi master in anakin's eyes.

so he kidnaps the two of them in a room, chained to the wall where to be freed they have to "solve a puzzle" (with every clue palpatine actually reveals just how fallible and human obi-wan is aka he sleeps around, he makes mistakes, he fucks up).

anakin is enraged by some revelations, repulsed by others and downright cruel some times, but not because obi-wan is capable of making mistakes but because he made mistakes with people other than anakin (jealous anakin appears on the group chat).

meanwhile obi-wan is trying to find a way to escape from the trap and realises the only way to escape is for one of them to die. he can't murder anakin and he knows that, despite his anger, anakin cant kill him either.

palpatine's final "revelation" is that obi-wan loves anakin (he miscalculated bc he thought anakin would be appalled) but when that revelation happens obi-wan (self sacrificing idiot that he is) kills himself so that anakin can be freed.

the minute obi-wan dies the door of the room opens and anakin's chain breaks, but instead of running away he gathers obi-wan's body in his arms sobbing and crying for losing the one thing he craved the most.

The Alex Jones trial has been alternately darkly hilarious (DARKLY) and absolutely crushing (the parents and psychotherapist were devastating, highly encourage people to follow @ChooseLoveM on twitter). The clips going viral (justifiably) are largely from day 7 of the trial, or the emergency motion this morning, but I do HIGHLY recommend looking at some of the other highlights. Watching the judge correct Alex upwards of a dozen times during his jury questions is great, I'm catching up on the first part of his testimony on day 6 (watching him trying to do his show on the stand is UGHHH, watching him backtalk the judge like a toddler and her shutting him down (tail end of day 6) is better). The court isn't livestreaming while the jury is deliberating, but the law & crime network was authorized to record and lost video to youtube.

But! Lesser known highlights. Becca Lewis provides *amazing* context as an expert witness for the impact of online misinformation and alex jones specifically. You just have to put up with the shitball on defense talking down to her like an asshole during cross-examination. And tune into any part of Daria Korpova's testimony for some SOLID GOLD uncanny valley of human empathy. Watch her wrestle her naked desire to argue that alex jones has actually suffered worse than the grieving parents he defamed! Watch her say on the stand, under oath, that she believes the trial has been partially staged! (the last jury question she answered, iirc). If you REALLY want a commitment, check out the knowledge fight formulaic objections episode featuring her deposition (yes I know it's four hours BUT IT'S WORTH IT) where she is appointed as corporate representative (and doesn't know what that is), and has done almost none of the research the judge specifically ordered her to do (but she brought a printout of the wiki page for 'false flag'). Tune into the law&crime youtube channel to see her looking like a confused baby deer who still doesn't understand what alex jones did wrong, tune into knowledge fight to hear her say outright that she thinks anyone with a heart would want to believe a conspiracy theory that these dead children are still secretly alive

Okay secretly this ended up mostly being about Daria rather than other notable moments. But seriously, she provides UNBELIEVABLE perspective on what an infowars Believer actually thinks, because she's still baffled that there's even a problem, and she's too clueless to catch onto any lawyer's strategy in questioning, either the prosecution OR the defense. Fucking wild to watch.

Clockwork paused in his work, gaze turning from his work towards his ghostling (it didn’t matter if he was an adult, he’d always be his ghostling) who was smiling nervously, avoiding his eyes. 

“Oh?” He kept his tone light, even as he worked on untangling a time knot. Honestly at least Danny was immune to any effect of time, even if he couldn’t look into his timelines in exchange. It came with being the other half of Infinity. 

“Yeeah… you know that corner of the multiverse you told me not to go to because you’re working on some time problems? I might have stumbled into one of the worlds in the corner…” 

He stopped his machinations, fully turning towards Danny- Space, his Core whispered and quivered in utter delight at having an Equal in power- with a raised eyebrow, leaning on his staff and silently telling him to explain. 

Danny poked his fingers together, giving a nervous laugh. “So uh, I was just exploring right? Well me and Ellie, you know how she gets when she can’t wander, and um… I er, we might have messed with some things in the creation of it… I didn’t know it was part of that universe, I swear! It was so far at the fringes and halfway into the Zone and I couldn’t just let a universe die before it began and-”

Oh- Oh! His ghostling (and his grand-ghostlings it sounded like) had claimed his first universe! He could put off these time knots, this was a grand milestone for any Ancient, nevermind such a primordial force as one of theirs.

And this is how a DC world came into being with humans evolving with more avian traits. Like wings. And claws. Look, Dan thought it’d be funny if they gave baby humanity wings and Ellie started rambling about how much farther they could travel if they had them and Danny thought it could be cool. Oh well, time to keep an eye on their itty baby world now…
