If Yona existed in a fantasy setting, she would be-- well, actually I have several different ideas for what she would be, but ONE OF THEM is a tavernkeeper! She runs a cozy little place on the moors, it's kinda in the middle of nowhere, yet somehow people always seem to end up there when they need to.

Yes, that's the Necromancer from NSP's "The Mystic Crystal", currently de-powered and feeling sorry for himself after his humiliating defeat by those two ridiculously-dressed champions. (Yeah I know he explicitly dies in the video, but like. He's a Necromancer, what are those guys known for? I bet if a writer wanted him to come back it would be easy to excuse how he did so.)

This might seem like a "she can fix him" situation, but actually it's more like a "she can be visibly unafraid of him and treat him cordially while cryptically implying that he couldn't do anything to harm her even if he wanted to, causing him to grudgingly behave himself in her presence because to do otherwise wouldn't benefit him in any way, an arrangement which could slowly morph into more genuine mutual respect and even fondness if he continues to play his cards right" ...situation.

Anyway, I tried to capture a similar Disney-esque art style to the one in TMC for Yona here~.

Ninja Sex Party The Mystic Crystal | Fan animation!

Okay wow. SO I am by ALL MEANS not an animator. But ever since this beautiful song was birthed by Ninja Sex Party, I have wanted to attempt at animating my favorite part of the song. I have honestly been working on this since the song originally came out in December of 2020, and I have finally finished it. Since working on it on and off for about 2 years I finally hunkered down and made myself finish it finally this week. I spent most of my time trying to learn an animating software, storyboarding, and drawing base images. Every time I took a lengthy break, I had to re-learn how to use the software, so I scrapped that and just painted each image in Sai, with different versions and 'animated' them together using my video editing software. This song is one of my favorites, not only by nsp (or any of their other bands) but in general. I honestly don't know why, but this specific part always makes me tear up when I hear it. something about Danny's voice is just so perfect for it. Anyways. I hope you enjoy it, even tho I'm not an animator, haha! This is my best attempt at creating what I saw in my head when listing to the music.

This took me LITERAL days trying to make a good pose/design/colors-! I finally gave up and used a reference and I still don’t like it fully 😭 he’s a purble dragon man who I forgot to post for a whole extra day-

I can see him being very much a dragon type, hoarding his wealth in a cave and using his magic to guard it from knights. Rewatching the music video made me realize how Disney Villainy he is, so maybe he was some royal before, a prince who was cursed with the greed and violent powers of a dragon-esc beast- maybe he just needs true love’s hug to be cured :3 (he Will kill you for touching him-)

How would actor, and or necromancer (if you can’t do both pick which one you want) deal with a s/o who’s very like cute and wholesome, like would make cookies if your sad or just very loving but makes the most unhinged threats. Like if someone is annoying them they’ll calmly go “I’ll hand you from your intestines!” Or “keep talking and I’ll take your your finger and toenails “

Gonna do some headcanons for this, because I think it fits a little better for both of them.

Actor:

He doesn't even blink, he's said worse

Actor won't critique the cookies, only because it's you

So you both end up laughing at the ridiculousness

Necromancer:

He does not know what cookies are

Quite honestly he uses them as paper weights
