the way the two men stare at each other in the way they have so many times before, in those moments when Joker stayed or prioritized their fight over her. the way he knew Joker loved the thrill of it all and thought it was funny, thought there was No way Batman would leave him and that this game had to end as according to the rules. And that Batman would do so, he would follow the rules and save him. The way he immediately assumed Batman would choose him, choose his life and choose to stay and disarm the bomb.

And how Batman didn't do that. How Batman walked away from him, leaving him to die or escape or whatever, because He was choosing Harley and her safety and prioritizing her life over him.

The way he stared him in the eyes before choosing the woman Joker had always left to die over him. The way that it was always Him, it was never a question if he would choose Batman over her, but when faced with that type of scenario, Joker is the one that gets left behind to die.

The way she literally woke up in the hospital instead of them having a scene just outside after he removed it. because she didn't intend to live in one of the two options. the way the bomb probably did go off to some capacity because you don't just end up in the hospital knocked out for a week.

I've been reading the Percy Jackson books for the first time over the past two weeks! Just finished "The Battle of the Labyrinth" last night (which btw is my favorite of the series so far!!)

Sometimes Manon will forget to take care of herself because she’s too worried about her kingdom and making sure everything goes well and just a slew of things.

Elide is always there though to take care of her and make sure she doesn’t overwork herself to death, andshe’s willing to do it all because she loves Manon.

Manon’s love language is acts of service and and physical touch while Elide’s is quality time and also acts of service

Elide does eventually get her own wyvern but it’s in a way no one guessed. She goes on a walk in the woods or whatever is closest to that in the witch kingdom and basically has a How To Train Your Dragon moment because she finds a wild wyvern that she comforts and trains

It’s very feral and on guard around anyone who’s not Elide (including Manon) and while it does chill out a bit so it can be in cities and around others it’s still fiercely territorial of Elide.

As Elide spends more time with Manon she learns that she’s kinda like a cat??

She enjoys laying in the sun when she can, kneads her iron claws into blankets when shes really out of it. Also she purrs like a cat, something she only does when she feels truly safe and comfortable and yes, Elide got very emotional when Manon purred near her the first time.

They both have habits about staying up late working on things, sometimes at the same time, and the other always naked sure to try and coax them into bed. Whether it’s through kind and loving words or though seduction, which are tactics both of them use

Everyone around them is very shocked when they see them because. They’re so soft with each other?? Which is something they thought Manon incapable of, but after a life of pain and hardship I feel like it would be really nice for Manon to allow herself to put away the walls she’s always kept up, especially to let them down with Elide

Idk man I’ve just been thinking about them so much, SJM somehow wrote an amazing sapphic ship on accident and I’ve been wanting to write some more stuff about them so keep an eye out for that maybe?
