“There you are, sweetheart. Sorry I’m late, I was looking everywhere for you.”

You jumped slightly as a tall man with blond hair wrapped one arm around you, pulling you to his side. You stayed silent until the guards who were once interrogating you left and then pushed yourself away.

“Who are you?!” You asked defensively, ready to use your umbrella as a weapon. The man just chuckled, and pushed your umbrella aside gently.

“I’m not going to hurt you, darling.” He smiled gently.

“Who are you?” You asked again, relaxing a bit but still taking a step back, not fully trusting the man who stood in front of you.

“Some people know me as a Wizard Howl or Sorcerer Jenkins, but you… You can call me Soobin.” He said finally, a charismatic smile ever-present on his face.

“Alright, Soobin.” You said hesitantly, testing out the name and finding that you quite liked saying it. Soobin. “What do you want with me?” You held back on asking why he had called you sweetheart and darling. At first you thought it was for show with the guards, but the more you looked at him, the more you thought it must have been intentional.

“‘What do I want with you?’ I hadn’t thought that far, to be honest. Even being able to find you seems to be a miracle.” He laughed, dimples forming on his cheeks and eyes crinkling. He had you mesmerised. “But now that you’re here in front of me, I think I should treat you to lunch, Y/n.”

“How do you know my name-?” Your question seemed to be swept up with the wind. Soobin didn’t take much note of it, only wrapping his arm around you again and walking you slowly out of the alleyway.

You were beyond puzzled, but he was a wizard after all. Maybe he could read your mind and that’s how he knew your name without you ever mentioning it. You quickly shook your head at the thought, flustering yourself. If he really could read your mind then he must know what you were thinking at this very moment… which was something more along the lines of contemplating how he could possibly be so charming.

“Don’t get too flustered over me, sweetheart. There’ll be plenty of time for that later.” He said teasingly, offering out his hand to you. You took it without a second thought, blush enveloping your cheeks and nervous thoughts entering your brain— all just because this gorgeous man was flirting with you.

“Hold on tight.” He whispered, and you clung to his arm as securely as you could. He jumped up, the air whooshing through his long hair and blowing the skirt of your dress. Soobin instructed you to straighten your legs and walk, and suddenly you were walking through the air, Soobin guiding you the entire time, making sure you felt safe.

You got used to it quickly. You looked up at him and he smiled charmingly at you. You felt as if your heart jumped out of your chest, trying to get closer to him. Was this what falling in love at first sight was like? Nonsense, Y/n, that only happens in fairy tales.

He brought you to a quaint bakery and found seating outside. He ordered for both of you, still managing to keep you staring at him in awe over everything he did.

You asked him about himself and he was more than willing to answer your questions. As he talked, his eyes never left yours. They shimmered in the light, and you could feel yourself falling deeper into the trance that he seemed to put you under.

“Soobin…” You said after a pause in the conversation.

“What is it, darling?” He offered you a smile and it put you at ease.

“I’m falling in love with you…” You admitted in one breath, heart racing again.

Your eyes fell closed and a yawn escaped your mouth as you lay amongst the pink flowers. You thought for a second that you should have told Soobin you were going to be out here. He would probably be looking for you once he got back from his outing. If you fell asleep here and he couldn’t find you, he might get worried.

You hoped he was aware enough of your habits to look at the front door and see that the dial was still set to pink: the one for the garden. If he wasn’t, you were sure that you would have to comfort a stressed-out Soobin later, listening to him go on about how he thought you had died or somehow disappeared.

You enjoyed going out to Market Chipping on errands and visiting Martha at the bakery or Sophie at her spectacular hats and clothes shop. And whenever you were bored, you were known to send letters to Lettie to hear about her budding romance with her mentor, Wizard Suliman. But most of all, you preferred to spend your time in the garden. Soobin had given it to you as a present, after all.

You couldn’t manage to stay awake for any longer and you eventually drifted off into a pleasant dreamland where Soobin seemed to frequent your thoughts. You were sure Soobin had something to do with that. Using his magic to make sure you only dreamed of him seemed like something he would definitely do. He got jealous and insecure often. Not that you minded, of course.

You woke up to soft kisses on your forehead. Your eyes fluttered open and you saw Soobin smiling down at you. You smiled back, realising your head was resting comfortably on his lap and a blanket covered your legs. He must have moved some things while you were sleeping.

“Hello, love.” You murmured.

“Hello, darling.” He echoed back, pressing another kiss to your face.

“When did you get back? I thought visiting the other wizards would take a long time.” You said sleepily.

“I wish there was a magic spell to make me extroverted, but unless I invent it, it does not exist… Needless to say, there were about fifty other wizards there and they all seemed so eager to talk to me.”

“So you left even though they wanted to talk to you?” You questioned with an amused smile. Soobin nodded proudly, admitting to his actions with no shame.

“I pretended that I was sick and was going to throw up, so everyone urged me to hurry home. I merely followed their suggestion.” He reasoned and you scoffed.

“You’re too introverted for your own good. All you do is stay with me every day. Don’t you think you’ll get tired of me one day?”

Soobin’s brows crashed and his head tilted in a puzzled way, “Me get tired of you?” He repeated and you nodded. The silence lingered in the air for a few seconds and all you heard was his soft breathing.

“I will never get tired of you. I didn’t get tired of you before, and I won’t now either.” He stated firmly. You sat up and faced him. Your hair fell in your face because of the gentle breeze, but Soobin pushed it back immediately. All his actions towards you were gentle and soft, as if you were one of his delicate magical artifacts and if he held you too harshly you would break.

“Never getting tired of you…” He whispered again, face leaning towards yours slowly, eyelids falling shut.

You met his lips halfway, savouring the butterflies dancing in your stomach at his every touch and the way his lips seemed to fit perfectly with yours. With his sincere confession that he would never get sick of you, you were even more sure that you would happily spend the rest of eternity with him.

ok so I got an idea - idol! yeonjun x idol! reader? like they meet at an award show and he's just totally entranced by the reader and then they start hanging out

bye this is cute :') ty nonnie! (i definitely got carried away bc i'm a jjun simp sorry in advance)

yeonjun tends to get tunnel vision when he's preparing to get on stage; the mama awards are no different. sharp and focused, he runs through the choreography for the dance break again and again, as if rewinding and replaying the same role of film over and over again. it's hard to distract him with anything else when he's like this.

a backstage crewmember calls his name, letting him know that he needs to be in position soon. five minutes. he has five minutes. he can do this.

he spends these five minutes taking deep breaths, adjusting the details of his outfit, double-checking that his mic box is in place, and...watching you?

truly, he doesn't mean to. he's just trying to keep the inevitable nerves from taking root in his chest, just keeping himself occupied, observing how you lead your fellow members from the dressing room, gathering them in a circle in a giving them a pep talk. it's admirable, really, how easily you're able to guide your group, how they seem to hang on to your every word. there's a burning passion backdropping your pupils all the while. a mix of determination, conviction, hunger. and fuck, he doesn't even know you, nor your name, but there's just something about you that draws him in, and there's this aura about you that screams self-assurance and maturity....

shit, he thinks. get it together.

"one minute," he hears through his in-ear, and he scrambles to his position, finding the mark on that platform that will rise up to the main stage. he sneaks one last glance at you. he finds you staring back, and right before the platform beings to rise, you send him an encouraging grin, you mouthing 'fighting!' accompanied with a small fist pump. your members watch on at the exchange.

he nearly forgets his own damn lyrics.

when txt's performance is over (as successful and jaw-dropping as ever), he's corralled back into their dressing room. sadly, there's no sight of you backstage anymore. disappointment buds in his chest, and soobin and beomgyu poke fun at his crestfallen expression, before soobin, ever observant of the events that unfolded earlier, tells him your name, how you're also the leader of your group, and that you're close friends with him.

thus, yeonjun begs, nearly grovels, for soobin to introduce him to you. begrudgingly, soobin lets him join a little hangout where he knows you'll be there. you and him hit it off really well! though he's so nervous that his hands shake, he's able to keep the conversation flowing, and he learns that on top of being the leader, you're also the oldest. it's something to bond over, and you find yourself giggling at his terrible jokes and overall goofy demeanor as the night rolls on. numbers are exchanged, as well as pleasantries about having a good time. both of you return to your respective dorms with giddy looks and butterflies in your stomachs.

you, much to his surprise, are the first to ask him to hang out one-on-one. slowly, he learns your little quirks as friends first, keeping his lovesick thoughts about you to himself (and sometimes shares with his members if they promise not to make fun of him; they do anyway).

he's sneaking into your dorm every now and then, as do you with his dorm, greeting and high-fiving soobin when he's there. he learns you're competitive (outrageously so), that you love ramen as much as he does, that you love studio ghibli and that you have a crush on howl pendragon. he grins at that.

"i wish i could be sophie," you sigh one late night on txt's dorm's couch, leaning your head against his chest as howl's moving castle flits across the tv.

"i could be your howl," he states without thinking, eyes still glued to the screen. and suddenly he's panicking, eyes moving down to your smug smirk. yeonjun looks away, but you refuse to let his gaze wander, head following so that you maintain eye contact.

"do you like me, choi yeonjun?" you question, eyebrow raised. he's rendered a stuttering, blushing mess and he's quick to deny it. absolutely not, no, we're just friends! or so he claims. you cackle, and his face twists in pure confusion, asking what exactly is so funny.

"you don't have to lie, jjunnie. soobin told me all about your little crush on me," you say as if you're talking about today's weather, too casual and too flippant and soobin told you what?

you're really laughing now, and yeonjun starts to wish that the floor would just swallow him whole. he tries to get up — he really wants to hide in his room forever now (and kill soobin later), but you grab his hand before he can flee, pulling him back down onto the couch so that he's facing you. gone is the shit-eating grin, your face now teeming with sincerity.

"i like you too, you dummy," you confess. his eyes open impossibly wide, and you bite your lip to suppress a grin. "thought i made it obvious when i asked you to hang out with me."

"oh my god," he groans, head falling onto your shoulder. "i'm so oblivious."

"a little," you agree, earning you a whiny "hey!" you continue. "you said it first!"

"my girlfriend should be nice to me, not act like them," he complains with a pout, nodding at the closed doors of the other members' rooms.

"oh, so i'm your girlfriend now?"

"yes, my extremely loveable, beautiful girlfriend. and i'm your extremely loveable, handsome boyfriend," he declares.

"i like the sound of that," you say, beaming, before you plant a chaste kiss on the tip of his nose.

the nearest door swings open to reveal a very drowsy taehyun, kai peeking over his shoulder from further inside the room. he takes one look at your legs strewn over yeonjun's lap, rolls his eyes, and says, "congrats on finally getting together, lovebirds, but could you please shut up?"

Yeonjun walks back towards your shared bedroom with the soup that he made, when he hears you cough. He frowns at the that, he hated you being sick and not happy. “Hey angel. How are you feeling?” He asks gently as he sets the bowl onto the bedside table. You don’t do anything but glare at him. “This is your fault. If you didn’t want to dance in the rain then we wouldn’t be here right now.” He sheepishly smiles at that before letting you continue. “Now as your punishment, you must take care of me.” He smiles at you, moving a piece of hair out of your face. “Angel you know that I’d take care of you even if you weren’t sick.’’

Soobin | Words Of Affirmation

Soobin just can’t seem to stop talking. Words constantly coming out of his mouth. The sweet words that seem to just make your heart beat even faster than before. His voice is always saying things like ‘I love you’ or even just a ‘ I’m so proud of you’ made you want to cry out if happiness. He made you want to keep trying and to keep him near you forever.

Beomgyu | Physical Touch

Beomgyu loves times like these. Where you both wrestle each other and when laughs fill the room. After you both stop moving to catch your breath, Beomgyu takes the chance to kiss you. He leans down and gently presses his lips to yours.

Taehyun | Quality Time

Movie nights with Taehyun happen every friday. You would switch who chose the movie every week. Today was your day and you choose Howl’s Moving Castle. Taehyun groaned when he had seen what you put on the tv but you could see the smile on his face. He placed the popcorn in between you two and watched as you started the movie. You two didn’t talk and only touched hands once but it’s all you could have ever wanted. Taehyun’s all you could have ever wanted.

Kai | Gift Giving

You giggle as Kai drags you into the arcade. The flashing lights and the noise from so many different machines plus the little kids laughing filled your ears but you’re used to it. You and Kai were there forever, playing every single game there was, sometimes you played one twice you if you liked it. After you thought that you had played every single game, you started to walk towards the door before Kai dragged you back towards him and towards a simple claw machine. In the box, you saw some penguin plushies, some mugs and the occasional gift card. “Kai.” You drag out his name. “Yessss.” He mocks the way you dragged it out. “I wanna go home and cuddle.” You start to whine, the sleepiness getting to you. “We will love, I just need to do this first.” You don’t respond and just wrap your arms around him, back hugging him. He sat there at the machine for about fifteen minutes before he finally won the blue penguin plush. He unwraps your arms and turns towards you, holding the plush towards your face. “Here, now you have me with you all the time.” His eyes won’t meet yours. “You should name him Kai Jr.” His laugh filled the room when you hit his arm at the sentence.

Also, the beautiful women who have recently followed me have been blowing up my notifications and it's been quite annoying. On the bright side, I have a lot of art to post! Here is all the media I consumed in January!

Billie and Jean. Another chill, kinda dumb podcast but it's something fun to play in the background. Gives some good laughs.

Titanic (1997) dir. James Cameron. Needed something after watching Avatar TWoW.

Mileage (2022) created by Jennifer Wu (PM) Kym Santiana (PM) Ruyee Lu (PM) Christopher Hsueh Joy Zhou Miranda Li Nicole Taylor-Topacio Ruby Saysanasy Saul Benavides. My friend made a really awesome short film for her 3rd year! Please check it out. The music suits it so well and the story is very exciting!

Cruella (2021) dir. Craig Gillespie. I wasn't going to watch this but Josiah mentioned the same person directed I, Tonya (2017) which I thought was great. I watched with a dog that I was dogsitting.

Goodfellas (1990) dir. Martin Scorsese. A pretty good story. I think the acting in it was great as well. The slurs threw me SO off guard.

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022) dir. Joel Crawford. I'm so excited for Shrek 5. This was great. Love how Spiderverse is bringing about a new age of animation.

The White Lotus, Season 1 (2021). I'm only watching this for Jennifer Coolidge.

Emergency Intercom - Enya Umanzor, Drew Phillips, Ky Newman. It's an every-month thing.

TXT Live at Lollapalooza 2022 (Full Performance) - Tomorrow x Together. Just very upset that they announced tour dates and Toronto wasn't on there.

Top 10 kpop songs of October

Chasing That Feeling - TXT. Not surprising. It came out in October and I liked it quite a bit. Very synth ethereal. Don't like the choreo too much though, it's too sharp.

오늘 조금 취해서 그래 - Youha. Very not surprising. It'll probably be my top song of the year. What a glorious synth masterpiece.

Eyes Roll - (G)I-DLE. Coming in at #12 we have our third kpop song which is kinda surprising considering I didn't like it that much. It's fine, but ehh very standard I guess?

有吗炒面 ALGTR - Lexie Liu. Still confused by the title, but still a glorious synth guitar masterpiece. At #22.

Payback - Ive. Directly below ALGTR is the only Ive song I liked from their newest release. Nice and chill.

Flower Rain - Youha. At #32 is another top song of the year contender. Perhaps my favorite opening of all time.

Back For More (TXT Ver.) - TXT. Hip and groovy! Sexy and cool! Better than the collab ver. lmao.

Bubble - STAYC. At #45 is my fave bubblegum release of the year. A fun chorus, and a swag synth for the post-chorus.

GRL GVNG - XG. Right below Bubble is my favorite girl crush release of the year! I don't super like Maya/Jurin's rapping style, Cocona is my favorite, but that's a style matter. I love the instrumental and the lyrics slap surprisingly enough.

X-GENE - XG. At #47 is a surprise considering I only remember playing it like three times this month. It's a fine intro song but I wish companies weren't so afraid of releasing full-length songs.

Actual top song was, funnily enough, La Borinqueña (Sharks Version) from the 2021 West Side Story movie soundtrack. #3 was Howl's Moving Castle Theme, Kyle Landry's piano version. That's my music tastes for you I guess.

Top artists were: Taylor Swift, Lorde, Halsey, Marina, and Fall Out Boy, in that order. Fascinating. Been a while since I had guys in the top 5. Then Imagine Dragons, (G)I-DLE, TXT, Twice, Over The Garden Wall soundtrack, and Olivia Rodrigo. Truly fascinating stuff here.
