Friendlocke Violet Gijinkas (Part 2/7)

PART 2 BAYBEE WAHOOO!! Three more gijinka designs comin right up!

And that’s pretty much it, designs under the cut!

JOE:

The reason Joe dislikes most bird pokemon such as fletchling is because they're always stealing and pecking at the olives he... or well more specifically his company grows.

Speaking of which, they own a large plot of land which is used specifically to grow olive trees, which of course are used to make the olive oil he sells. What? Did you think that the olives come from Joe themselves? Of course not silly, welcome to capitalism.

That being said, Joe DOES know how to garden. When they first started their olive oil company they had to grow their own olive trees. Nowadays, in their spare time, they'll sometimes be found tending to the olive trees in their company's garden.

His crown is personally tailored for Joe and Joe ONLY. Crafted with the shiniest gold and the richest olives, all fit for a king! Somehow it never falls of his head. (Fun fact: the points are made to look like olive oil bottles)

Joe needs glasses but usually wears contacts when in public. Not that they look bad with glasses, it's just a personal choice.

Joe LOVES being involved in... well, anything! As long as it's not weird or sexual or illegal (that last one counts UNLESS it involves scamming others into buying his oil products), he is more than happy to invite himself into whatever is going on around him. What are you going to do? Stop him? Oh please!

HANNAH Ü:

At the start of her career, she would spend her days doing her own one-man (or.. well... woman) shows at subway stations, telling stories and entertaining other pokemon and people alike while they waited for the next train to arrive.

Her hat and cape are made entirely of salt! She is able to transform her cape and hat into different shapes and usually used this ability of hers to make stuff such as accessories, hats, and props that fit the role she's donning at the time.

Hannah LOVES collecting stickers and often wears them proudly on her body (in her poke form ofc ofc). However, she usually has to get someone else to stick them onto her bc of her lack of actual hands.

Some of her improv roles are inspired by the people she meets while others are inspired by pieces of media she's interested in at the moment.

MYKYIE:

As stated previously, Mykyie used to be a circus performer before he quit to pursue his dreams. His most popular act involved him spinning plates on a stick while standing on a ball.

^^^ Because of this, he also has really, REALLY good balance.

Mykyie always keeps his Miku glowsticks on him, even when not attending any of her concerts.

"Anger Point" is basically an uncontrollable form of last resort whenever Mykyie is close to death but can still fight, it usually leads to him attacking whoever or whatever caused him great harm (In the instance of Lark, it was when he crit Mykyie and the ladder's health was extremely low.)

The Miku tattoo on Mykyie's arm was designed by Mykyie himself! However, it was drawn on him by an anonymous underground artist who went by many names to hide his true identity. The name that the artist went by at the time Mykyie got his tattoo was "Cl@ir33"

The cuffs and cape that he wears are... well, WERE, red. An unknown force seems to be slowly turning them into a shade of blue.

At least, it would’ve been - if you hadn’t been woken up rudely by the loud beeping of your kitchen timer, the distinct smell of something burning, and Joao cursing under his breath as thick clouds of smoke squeezed their way out of your oven from your gingerbread cookies, or at least what remained of them.

3) What first drew you to this character?

As for Aldrich, I vaguely recall finding out that he checks the traits I like the most? He was one of the characters I've learned about through fandom and not on my own, and I think this ancient meme about summarises it:

With Laurence, like with Mico, it was the very first glance at the character in Youtube compilation with boss themes and concept art image. I did not know the lore yet, but the design and the music made me imagine Laurence as sort of aged, sagely librarian. I could not imagine back then that his boss fight would be him being a "helpless abhorrent little mewmew" as kids call it! Heck, I thought he'd have dialogue despite the monster form x) In a way, my first impression was not wrong, with the cut content of him actually talking even in a beast form, and implication of him being a son of Cainhurst cut content librarian NPC! I have intuition for cut content before having information, hahaha!

I have nothing to say about Willem. It might be a memory gap thing, but I swear at some point I feel I was turned off and then booted back up with liking this character already installed in my system x) As for Aldia.... ugh for fuck's sake... yeah, it was this legend:

I was absolutely floored by this stupid vid even without knowing any context, but I also instantly liked this character. I didn't even know his name yet, but the voice acting and long yapping about philosophy already pulled me in XD (Also unironically, this video is precisely how I give relationship advice fhfhdds)

9) Does this character remind you of anyone you know? Does that affect how you see them?

Yeah, I know this person. I know them very well. I know them more than anyone else. Someone who was misguided (by their destructive influence mentor figure, by their own foolishness and past history, or combination of both, who can tell anymore?) into committing awful things, then despaired over their sins and attempted redemption but also failed in some way? This person is me. At some point I've found myself in front of horrible truth about my past life and personality, and knew I was guilty and sullied forever. That it was over for me as a human being, but that didn't matter, and I could only keep people safe by locking myself away and trying to serve something better.

......annnnd it took a few years of more informed people to (metaphorically) shake me and slap my face into lucidity, explaining to me that I've fallen for the "BPD demonization" that was going far beyond than my individual failure as a friend, and we are always accused of abuse and causing irreversible harm when the worst we do is being emotionally overbearing. I kept losing trust to those friends, telling them that they were enablers who tried to gaslight me into thinking I was not 'that much of a monster', until it was other people with BPD who 'shook me and slapped my face into lucidity'. xd Nonetheless, even though now I know the truth about how society treats BPDs, I remember the feeling of being so monstrous and harmful that I was not even allowed to "touch" people with my dirty hands, how my reality used to be. So, I could write Maria going through this effortlessly, especially considering what she did was more plain and tangible!

Already answered this for Micolash here: ( x )! As for Aldrich, it was through properly analysing the bigger picture and context of his actions. I've figured that his madness was, in fact, being informed on what was far too ahead of everyone else around him! He, like the rest of the cast, is trapped in the rotting, doomed world in which the only choices are 1) "die with dignity" or 2) commit something unthinkable from moral standpoint for a chance to escape. And will morality of the rotting world will matter in the new world anyways? Won't it all be left behind and be forgiven?

The guy also tried to take everyone else he could with him, like sort of a fucked up Noah's Arc! I can tell that they reused the concept with Rykard, at least, I am glad they know what works xD I'd say that the sadism he experienced upon eating people was either result of insanity (he understood a thing no one should understand), or still didn't exclude the bigger purpose (egotistically revelling in how holy he is helping everyone and doing what no one else dared, which would be like my Laurence). In any case, I have the strongest respect to the courage it takes to transcend the bonds of morality and compassion in order to to greater good. Being burdened with the knowledge of how the world really works, and choosing to push through instead of still being bound... This is why I also like Fauxsefka; learning how this world works, she chose to turn people into Kin so they can't ever become beasts. I am weak for this trope, you don't understand.

Laurence appears in my dreams only in two contexts: 1) Micolaurence or 2) dreams about finding secret files in Bloodborne that reveal his canonical appearance before beasthood! I can tell the latter comes from my everlasting unsatisfaction with my design for him, because I love it but it doesn't feel "fitting" and I can't identify why!

The former, I think, fandom rubbing onto me x) In two of these dreams, I was Laurence. In other two, I was Micolash. In one of Laurence dreams it was mutual, in the second one I was in love unrequited. In one of Micolash dreams, it was mutual, and in another it was not.. Basically, my dreams allows me to experience this ship from every possible angle. o_o Waiting for more I guess fhhdfsfd

hi bug i have come to tell you about date plan a to z and why it is the best enstars event because i am Very Excited for it on the eng server!!

firstly there is the fact that i have played it 111 times which is so many and also i now have the movements for the beatmap ingrained into my very being. but also the song SLAPS and i love!! the outfits!! and also the choreography :) if you're curious, here's the official mv, but don't feel like you need to watch it!! unfortunately the only a to z card i have is mitsuru's but i'm planning on getting at least niki's on the eng server!!! and im trying to save up to exchange for kaoru but its rlly hard lol

the second reason why a to z is the best is because its a shuffle event!!! i looove shuffles so bad i love seeing characters who usually have no business being in the same room being forced to interact with eachother and be besties :) ALSO all the characters are characters i really love!! i know you probably aren't that familiar with the characters and i'd be totally happy to go into more detail but i feel like this will already be hellishly long so i'll skip over introductions. but the shuffle is made up of kaoru from undead, chiaki from ryuseitai, niki from crazy:b, mitsuru from ra*bits, and natsume from switch!!!! i really love chiaki & kaoru's friendship, and i also love how niki & mitsuru become pretty good friends over the course of the event story?? they r bread buddies i love them so bad

also the event story is lots of fun and just!! very nice & lighthearted while still showcasing kaoru's character growth really well :) enstars can be real dark sometimes so i always feel the need to treasure the stories where nothing really happens?? the premise is that the five of them are supposed to do an article on their ideal dates for a magazine and also do a little promotional video for a new shopping center!! because kaoru had a playboy image that he's trying to fix, everyone voted for him to be the leader despite his self-doubt. he wants to put chiaki in charge instead bc chia has more experience in leadership positions, but both chiaki and anzu are insistent he take the lead. theres a lot of little shenanigans while everyone figures out what they want as an ideal date, and chiaki puts a bow in his hair and pretends to be a girl to take kaoru on a date and help him chillax a little. the rest of the shuffle follows them and they all end up doing karaoke together its real cute.

lastly please look at chiaki and kaoru i love this cg so bad :)

hi yes i have a take on vlv as well because i actually clicked on the vid out of curiosity after ur post and i scrolled down to the comments and they were so positive i was confused like ok maybe tumblr user voluntaryvictim doesnt have Objective taste so i should check this out too and . . .

man i used to simp for this guy like hardcore back when i was 15-16 and i definitely dont support him recently but this video felt like a slap to the face and im saying this as someone who believes in 'shitty people can be objectively talented' and legitimately enjoyed tracks like roaring 20s off of pftw although the album as a whole was a miss

of course the lyrics are sht bc he isnt stealing from ryan or dallon this time its just out of touch mediocrity but oh my god i think the most offensive thing was the SOUND of it

i still go back and listen to the miss jackson acoustic session at the buzz and Marvel at how theres gotta be some magic in the mic because holy frick his Voice is incredible and i think i saw an analysis once on how his vocal capability shines through when hes calmer in a smaller crowd of people rather than trying to jump around onstage while screaming his lungs out to a stadium like it just doesnt hit the same and one really suits his voice better but the other Doesnt

and one of the biggest appeals of panic! to me for a long time Was his voice ik people say ryan was better and everyone is entiteld to their opinion!! but i really liked br3nd0ns voice anyway to get back on topic

if i had never heard his voice before vlv i would legitimately think he was a bad singer or like a mediocre singer at best the instrumentals and supporting vocals just layer on top of his voice in such a clashing way like you pointed out and his voice doesnt keep any of that nice smoothness its just annoying and tacky and tasteless and yeah im so disappointed hes degrading himself even further like this like go back to the hiatus man if u couldnt save ur reputation at least preserve ur legacy??

anyway this is why i bump idkhow and idkhow only dallon knows how to Sing and Lyrics and really takes advantage of what kind of sound makes his vocal capability shine thru and i love him for that!!

see yeah i do think his voice can be good sometimes like you said! he has shown that he isn’t a terrible singer given the right song but my ears did not find his singing pleasant in vlv especially knowing he can. sing better

hopefully he can also take advantage of his skills which i know he has and if it works well on some of the songs on the new album. i’d be pleasantly surprised

authors note , this was so much fun!! but also so time consuming, i had to use my fav in the feels taylor songs and i’m pretty proud of this, regardless of there not being much pierre content at all, im gonna ignore just how exhausting it it to do smau’s for a bit because this was a fun break from studying, i hope you enjoyed !!

Chapter 3 - Bitter Goat

Earle had never felt happier. The world was a dazzling sun, a cerulean sky. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, Earle thought, meaning extraordinarily good or wonderful. For the past few weeks, he had been talking to a girl. No, not any girl. The most beautiful girl he had ever talked to. He’d never seen her in real life nor had he seen her online… but what importance do looks have when the person you’re talking to has the most beautiful personality? Capri was her name. Like a goat, Earle thought. But she was far better than any goat, for she was so sweet when they talked.

Yesterday, in the dead of night, Capri texted Earle, inviting him to meet her at a café. Taking a second to compose himself of his rather childish squealing, he responded with great pleasure. And today… today he is like a cat on a hot tin roof. Scurrying from one corner of his room to another, Earle assembled a fine attire. At least, as fine of an attire as one can manage in such an apprehensive state. Smoothing the mahogany remnants of his hair, he strolled out of his house, only one direction in his heart. The café.

He arrived to see a beautiful girl lounging on one of the outdoor seats, absentmindedly stirring the already chilled coffee, “Capri,” he let out hesitantly, unsure she was the one. Capri’s head shot up, sudden movement nearly spilling the coffee cup. “Um. Who are you,” she queried in an unusually shrill voice, like that of a limpkin. “It’s me, Earle. We talked yesterday,” he replied. The girl’s eyes widened, the size of saucers. A rotten expression surfaced on her face, lips curling menacingly.

“First of all, ew. Second of all, you definitely can’t be Earle,” she sassed. Earle showed her his phone, oblivious to the venom dripping from her words. Capri wailed, flailing her arms like a chicken. “You! You meanie! You scammed me! Capri is so very very saaaaaaad,” she drawled. Earle backed away, eyebrows scrunched. Why was she talking like a kid? Capri latched herself onto a passerby, wailing even more. Huh. She really does sound like a limpkin, he thought and before he could catch himself, he snorted out a laugh.

Capri’s eyes slitted. “Hey, fatso. Don’t you dare laugh at someone like me. Maybe you would actually meet someone nice if you lost like… I don’t know, a hundred kilograms?” She cackled, pointing at Earle. Other people at the café, who were previously observing the commotion silently, began openly jeering and filming. Capri, obviously enjoying the newfound attention, confidently marched forward and struck Earle across the face. Surprised, Earle lost his balance, falling onto the dirty floor. Capri kneeled down, levelling her face with his. “That’s what you get, you freak,” she spat out before walking away. Earle fumbled before he ran away to the safety of his house.

Humiliated. Disgraced. Ashamed. Earle felt all of these. He wanted to disappear, to vanish off of the face of the Earth, to never exist in the first place. Every single part of him, down to his core, down to his atoms, felt insignificant, worthless. A soul made from the scraps of the universe. Why can’t I ever have my happy ending, he thought bitterly, what crime had I committed that I can’t ever be happy?

Earle’s phone flashed.

“Yo, Earlie boy. Man did u SEE this vid of urs?!? It’s blowing up like crazy man!”

Earle furiously clicked on the link. A video popped up.

“You! You meanie! You scammed me! Capri is so very very saaaaaaad”

A laugh.

“Dude, that dude and that girl are really fighting on the streets? Let’s film it.”

“Hey, fatso. Don’t you dare laugh at someone like me. Maybe you would actually meet someone nice if you lost like… I don’t know, a hundred kilograms?”

More laughs.

A slap.

Earle stared at the screen as the video kept playing. It was about today's events. Capri, him, that café… His eyes flicked to the comments, the hateful, spiteful, ugly comments. Why are they hating me, Earle thought hopelessly, I didn’t do anything. Earle’s world spun, like a cursed carousel. Shuddering breaths escaped him as his entire being was filled with the poison of Capri’s words. Like a boa, that hate slithered around his being, engulfing him, crushing him, killing him.

“Sh-she she slapped me,” Earle said, shaken. He glanced at his own hand fearfully, as though his body was not his but of that malignant voice in his head. But maybe that was a part of him. A cruel, bitter part of him that he never wanted to surface. The part of him that was truly the ugly that he thought he was. That voice possessed him, brazen words that cut through his soul with barbed edges and false healings. He tried to stop it, to take over. This was his body. He shouldn’t hurt it. But nothing would not stop that voice, for it seized control.

Earle landed a sharp blow on himself, just like that girl did.

Just like everyone should have.

He couldn’t take it anymore. The pain, the woe, the agony. He’d cry, but no tears would spill. He’d sob, but no pain would lessen. He’d weep, he’d wail, he’d howl, he’d bawl. He’d whimper, he’d whine, he’d grieve, he’d mourn. He’d suffer a thousand sufferings, but no tears would spill. Earle couldn’t take it anymore. There’s only one way out. A pain so great that nothing could stop the flood that was caged within his eyes, raging. It was the only way. Earle screamed. He screamed, he shrieked, he screeched, he howled. He raged until he could no longer rage. He raged until the tears forced their way down. He’d cry, be it with tears of water or tears of blood. He shouted and roared until his throat was scraped raw, until he felt something break in his throat, in his soul and in his will.

He glowered at his phone, bloodshot eyes drilling holes into the appliance. Everywhere and anywhere, all he would see on social media was perfection. Perfect men and women, boys and girls, with slim bodies and muscular bodies. Rich lives with more money to spend than reasons to spend it. It was a vile race. Who had a better life, better body, better everything. There was no place for a person like him. He scrolled furiously through his phone, looking at videos of such boys and girls. He watched and he thought. Thought about his life had he been slimmer, muscular, richer.

He’d been idle so long that his phone turned off. Off went the perfect guy with the perfect body and in came the dark screen which reflected Earle, a guy nobody liked, everybody hated, everybody mocked. Numb, Earle turned his screen on again and stopped in his tracks at what he saw. It was a guy, just like him. A body like his, a life like his. But this guy never lost hope. He never did to be muscular, to be popular. He did it to be healthy, to be fit, to be the one who lives a long, full, happy life. If he can do it, Earle thought, why can’t I? And it was as though someone turned a switch in his life. Hopping onto his computer, he began his research — on eating disorders, medical help, gyms, fitness trainers, everything.

Today would be the day when Earle rose above his darkest fears. Today would be the day when he stopped giving up.
