i got a ton of asks in my inbox so im just going to put all of them here so i don't spam u guys with it haha
this is really the only guy i use. felt pen on clip studio is excellent for the sketchier style i like! when it comes to coloring i just use a basic solid brush !
i imagine they do, and they each get assigned a baby (tanjiro with giyuu, inosuke with sanemi, and zenitsu with obanai) but it lasts for barely a day. inosuke has no idea what hes doing and obanai cant stand zenitsu
tengens wives find the situation hysterical but they help out however they can. ofc they all fight over tengen. they love helping out with the kiddies but they especially enjoy taking care of the younger ones-- they think mui, mitsuri, and shinobu are adorable! tengen definitely tries to flirt with them but hes a cringe fail ten year old
kanao, aoi, and the butterfly girls all help out as well. kanao and shinobu are typically glued together
shinjuro and senjuro are shocked to see rengoku (and obanai) and while shinjuro is pissed off at first, he can't Not take in his boys. senjuro and little obanai are super similar in nature so
urokodaki, tengen, and nezuko are worried but excited about giyuu's transformation. they're like lets freaking go. good childhood moment
and of course genya thinks the situation is hilarious and hes happy to get to spend time with his brother, although he's VERRRRY awkward. he's a bit avoidant at times but usually gyomei and tanjiro can talk him
aw thank you! to answer your question;; shinobu and gyomei basically spend time with him and are attentive to his wants/needs to help him recognize he does matter. rengoku and the others help with this! essentially love language stuff and affirmations and what not
ill be honest i totally forgot about this. yea! i would say the babies are only put in a very specific area of the manor and they deep clean it constantly. if they have a good amount of sick/wounded i imagine they have gyomei or etc take them in. im not sure! in my mind the hashira all rotate and babysit and etc
this 100% happens. urokodaki learned the news and had never traveled to the headquarters so fast
ohh this is a fun question! truthfully im not sure what the answer to this would be... i appreciate all the questions/ideas/etc!! if anything id love to have more questions about general characterization stuff, since thats my favorite favorite favorite to talk about!!! maybe more questions about like... what their relationships are like, do they have nicknames for each other, that sort of thing... idk! either way im glad people are interested :D
sanemi tries to make them laugh. he remembers his little siblings always cheering up when he would make silly faces and sounds, so he does that here
giyuu awkwardly pats the other baby's back/head and is like "there there" ... he remembers how sabito's hugs would make him feel better so he awkwardly hugs the other. most of the time obanai/sanemi stop crying purely bc they're confused as to why giyuu is hugging them
obanai would usually talk them out of it, but he can't do too much since he's restricted to baby babble. so instead, he will try to find one of their toys and "gift" it to them. ex giyuu was sobbing hysterically until obanai found his fox plushie and gave it to him
awww shucks... stop it u guys.....!
im doing ok!!! hanging in! got 3/13 commissions done so busy busy!
also, for future ref, i prefer being called "bite" !!! i know a lot of people call me ghost, so i just wanted to take a moment to correct that :D
awwwwww this is so sweet!! thank you so much!!!!!!
defintely one of the rodent pokemon. my favorite pokemon changes constantly but im told i have mimikyu / teddiursa / bunneary vibes. i also like espurr. i have no idea UWEIHRWE
i think he would be a little awkward at first but he would get the hang of it. most of what he does is just keep them entertained and make sure they arent sick or hurt. though he eventually builds up the courage to ask if he can feed obanai. from that point on whenever muichiro is babysitting he's the one offering to feed him, though someone else has to make the bottle-- he doesn't know how to do that
this is canon
Hands down, Obanai. Though I also feel really sad for Gyomei and Muichiro, and I think Tengen's story (what we know of it) is pretty sad. I don't like comparing traumas, though! but yeah. obanai is. wow. poor guy
and to those of you sending art requests; i see them, i promise! commissions come first, so they may take time for me to get done!
thank you guys for all the questions! i always love checking my inbox and getting an excuse to talk about things...

i don’t think we’re the only ones here .
Look too far down Gotham's deep black veins and vertigo takes over. The tunnel out of this station appears to narrow and elongate the longer Nix scours the Stygian gloom for movement. He should be one within that umbra. She's sure he'd like to be. Instead he stands alongside her, doused in the sodium vapour illume. Insects Nix can't be bothered to spy buzz and bat against the florescent bulb.
As if she were the 'Subway Slasher' the media's been talking about for weeks herself, she scours the now-empty platform for movement. The most recent flood of faceless denizens filed both in and out of the train only moments prior — he hadn't been here, then—, leaving an eerie vacuum in their wake. It will last only a few minutes ere the next herd sweeps through.
" Haunted House vibes give that away? " The locomotive ghosts groaning up the tracks in the dark aren't the only sound to lure their attention. Those 'footsteps' amidst the metallic grinding could be passed off as belonging to rodents tall enough to reach Nix's knees. If such is the case, the gelid swathe climbing up the back of her neck begets more dread than is entirely necessary. If it isn't, then Nix is right to await the tell-tale glow of molten eyes in the blackness. Feral Talons have scythe-like claws they'd find all too easy to embed in the brick and stone lining these tunnels. She imagines one acrawl at the shaft's vault, upside-down and gnashing it's teeth.
While she wears that weighty cloak of trepidation well, Nix knocks her chin and swallows. He's snared in her periphery. Nothing about the whet edges to him give away anything, and she notes that with such a lack of surprise, her eyes nigh roll back into her skull.
" Shit lives down here, Slenderman. " She remarks, somewhat cooly while she scuffs her heel against the platform's edge and sniffs. " Shit. Not people. Hey, " Instinct wends her arm in a wide arc so the back of her hand smacks him in the chest. " You'd love it. It's totally your vibe. "

Sneak Peak of the chripchillas...
What are they?” Mithos asked, leaning a little closer.
“Do I look like a nature guide, asshole?” Arioch replied, not sure if the things were safe or not.
“Rodents, idiots.” Answered Cruz who stepped forward to clear them off of the human. This is when they made another discovery. Unlike Earthly rodents that have the four main front teeth, these had two rows on top and bottom of what looked like shark’s teeth; and they looked none too happy about the King coming closer to Amaya’s body.
“Well, that’s different…”Ollyl commented, his brows drawing together as a look of unease settled over his face.
“They haven’t eaten her. She’s alive. But they won’t let us near her….” Cruz knelt down a short distance from them, one hand absentmindedly rubbing his chin as he thought over the situation. Killing the creatures would be easy, but that would draw predators to them, and since they couldn’t trace Amaya, they’d at least need a minute or two to get her settled for one of them to carry her.
As he was trying to figure out a fast and easy solution, Olly walked over and knelt down and whistled to Dalton. “Go ask your friends to please get off the nice lady. We need to get her to safety.”
Dalton and Derp had been yipping at the creatures who had been squeaking back. Olly hoped that maybe, just maybe they were actually communicating. He knew that Abriella’s dogs were not normal dogs and understood him fine, now if they could just get the creatures to understand. Soon enough, it seemed he was right since the little things started getting off of her, but then they had a new problem.
As the little furry beings were getting off of Amaya, Dalton and Derp started picking them up in their mouths and delivering them to the feet of each of the men. All except Olly. The little creatures started climbing their pants of the men. “Uh, I think they want out of the forest too, and the dogs promised them a ride to the Palace. Maybe put them in the garden with the pixies? I’m sure they’d love some Tribbles.” Olly shrugged as he got a death glare from Cruz who now had one sitting on his shoulder.
“Tribbles. Did you see the teeth on that one that snarled at Cruz?” Arioch asked as one started snuggling into his pocket. “Ummm..shit..we’re really going to do this, huh?” He blew out a sigh as another one started to fall off of his pant leg and he caught it and stuck it in another pocket.
“Just get these damned things and get them to the garden.” Cruz grumbled, but was standing there with two in one of his large hands, petting them like a cat. “Olly, since you’ve been spared, get the human to Abriella and Arch.”
Watching Cruz with the two fuzzballs in his hands was about to make Olly breakout in laughter, but the task at hand was serious, so he nodded and went over to scoop Amaya up off of the ground. A couple of the furry beings didn’t want to leave her and used their teeth and claws to hold onto her plaid flannel shirt. “Guess I’m taking a couple with me. Your sister is going to LOVE this!” Olly rolled his eyes and then unfurled his wings just enough to get them off of the ground.

((What if...I gave myself the gift of a wonderfully self indulgent AU for my muse?
Two poems I really love are The Erlking by Goethe and The Erl-King's Daughter by Johann Gottfried Von Herder. And I've had a few oc's similar to this concept but!!!
Shy as one of the Erl King's many daughters. Not really knowing her father because he used the form of an existing human to meet Shy's mom. She attracts death and chaos because her genes EXUDE death and chaos, and she can probably talk to ghosts and shit.
People either love or hate her because she's got this weird vibe like a cryptid; like you don't know why or how but you know she's just Not Right. Cats and corvids like her and bring gifts to her, but other animals are terrified of her and even the tamest rodents run afraid from her.
She's her normal weird, goofy self but there's just something wrong with her and she knows it but doesn't want to admit as much because she wants to be good. But accepting her crown might be better...))

I have been figuring out how pokemon essentials works by recreating Kanto (I'm in the process for that, but the things left are the events and I can't do a lot of them if I want to do something different to the original story, as is the case), and I got the idea to choose pokemon at random and change the original story to fit the new pokedex, but if it was completely random I could end up with no starters or legendaries, so I decided to use the original kanto dex to create categories and put every pokemon after that in the one that fits it better. There are no problems classifying starters, mythicals, legendaries and pseudos, but the rest are more difficult. I decided some because it made sense, some because they had similar vibes and some because of a mix of both. The problem is that it's easy to forget a category and put one in other that fit's it less, so I'll show you my draft so you can judge me.
(I will add more pokemon than the ones that this says if it makes sense, like more ghosts so pokemon tower doesn't feel too monotone. The ones with a / between them go together, I will probably not add regional variants, and joltik is with the pikachus because I say so. Also, there aren't a lot a single stage evolutions in gen 1, so all of the ones that don't fit are in the closest thing because it's hard to match the number of evolutions and the types.)

This was originally supposed to be a prototype for a toy to be sold in a shop of an online kindergarten. The head was supposed to be baby safe vinyl or rubber and the body could be used both as a hand puppet and as a stuffed toy (by putting in a little stuffed pillow). After researching materials and brainstorming headshapes for half a year, making a first mold etc etc the woman decided to ghost me so yea that was really not cool of her.
Since i already made the mold i wanted to at least complete one puppet so i cast the head out of resin and hand painted it, so this is obviously way more detailed than a reproducable product and also not baby safe anymore. I made this puppet for a rodent-friend (she's a fellow rodent rescuer, she is not a rodent herself) and it's based on her amazing hamster "Motte".
Some christmas vibes on my blog as it was a christmas gift!

For the main crew in Plan Z: If they had to get a pet, which one would they choose? :3
Z is a lizard/snake kinda person, though they also had a cat growing up, so they’re used to cats. They’d prefer something that’s relatively quiet.
Val would like something athletic that she can run around with like a greyhound. If she really had the means she’d probably even have a horse and live her cowboy fantasy
Ghost is scared of dogs but he could vibe with a cat or a ferret. He’d also like having tropical fish and he’d have a cool, elaborate tank for them
Calvin LOVES cats and already has one but would probably have more if he was allowed. He wouldn’t mind a small dog either
Asami loves animals including freaky ones so she’d be delighted to have any pet— reptiles, birds, dogs, cats, rodents, even bugs. She’d carry a lizard around in a purse like its a chihuahua. Unfortunately she’s not allowed to have hamsters anymore cuz she had bad luck with them growing up…
Wyvern loves dogs, especially pitbulls, but also likes weird animals like Asami. He’d totally have a raccoon if he was allowed. He is not allowed to have a raccoon
Daisy is not a fan of kids or animals, so she likes the idea of having a cat but wouldn’t enjoy having to clean up after it. She’d be fine with a dog or a cat if someone else was taking care of it, but she draws the line at a raccoon no matter how much Wyvern insists they can be domesticated

Were You Tripping Last Night? - original piece, magic/realism
“It’s, like, hard to explain. I just kept walking and walking and I just forgot everything. Not forgot actually, it’s like nothing ever existed. It was just me and it.”
“Jessie, I’m so confused. What do you mean? Were you still drunk? Didn’t you leave at ten? And I thought Charlie gave you a lift home. How much were you drinking last night?” Stacey asked me, sipping her matcha tea. She’s one of those types who swears by some hippy hangover cure, and she promises it works, but she’s always suddenly hungry when I order a KFC bargain bucket.
“No, I walked home. No way was I getting in the car with Charlie after what happened last time.”
“You only got rear-ended. It wasn’t even that bad.” Stacey sniggered.
“Stace he was still drunk! He stopped mid-roundabout! Only reason he got away with it was cause his parents paid off the other man,” I rolled my eyes. People think I exaggerate but come on, we were in a bloody car accident. “And, anyway, I wasn’t still drunk, I didn’t even get that bad last night, unlike some.”
“I wasn’t that bad.”
“Only slept with one of your exes this time. I guess that’s improvement.” I laughed at her.
“Shut uppp! I’ll literally never do it again.”
“Only because he’s moving away.”
“Exactly. It was a send-off.” We giggled louder, and one of the old ladies stood at the counter glared at us. “Whoops. Guess Starbucks is the new library? Tell me more about this whole forest thing.”
“Okay, well, I left the party, and I took the long way home, to, you know, clear my head a bit more. There was, like, this weird light coming through the trees, and I thought it might be, like, a lost dog or something so I went and checked it out.”
“I’m guessing the dog wasn’t the experience?”
I smiled. “No, not the dog. It kept getting brighter and brighter, and so I followed it. Every time I took another step, it got bigger and further away, but I heard, like, mechanical noises? All the usual sounds in the park had gone, and I felt nature, like, all at once. I felt compelled to follow it, like nothing else mattered anymore. That’s what I mean, about the forgetting.”
“Were you tripping last night? Shrooms? I know Tommy had some. Apparently when he did it, he could see trees breathing. Was it like that?”
“Course I didn’t do drugs! My sister would kill me. No, it was definitely real. Tommy didn’t see a bright light either. I was with him for most of it.” I wanted to mention it was because she was off shagging Eddie, but I really needed to tell someone about this, and I knew she would get salty that I was going on about it. She did ditch me though. “So, I kept following it, and it stopped getting lighter and I thought it was coming towards me. I felt like I was under some sort of spell? It was super strange, a whole different vibe around me. And,” I sipped my skinny latte. I wondered if I should tell her the rest.
“’And’ What? You can’t leave me hanging on that.” She interrupted.
“You’re gonna think I’m batshit crazy.” I smiled.
She laughed. “Hun, I already think that. Please tell me!”
“The light came towards me, and I realised it wasn’t a light at all. It was this giant metal ship. Same ones you see in movies, except it was smaller. There were no more mechanical sounds, or wind, and the light had dimmed. I thought it had maybe noticed me?” Stacey stared at me, wide eyes. “And I felt this wave go across me, as if I passed through to another dimension. You know those ladies who hunt ghosts on tv?” She nodded; we’d watched it together the other day. “They say they feel a spirit going through them, that’s kind of what I felt.”
“That’s sooo deep. Did anything else happen or did you just leave?” Stacey asked.
“I couldn’t. I was in some sort of trance. The ship, it landed in front of me, and loads of weird things started happening on the ground. There were rodent-type creatures scuttling round, except they moved like crabs and were like harvesting the ground? A whole new tree grew next to me.”
Stacey opened her mouth as if to say something, but nothing came out.
“Told you it was crazy.”

“You look like you’ve seen a ghost!” <3
“y/n, calm down-“
“relaxxxxx have a beer! you’re supposed to be having fun!” ethan slurred from beneath you, pressing the clear bubble on the cardboard “Trouble” game he’d found in the cabinet underneath the TV. the dice slap against the plastic and a moment later he’s cheering at the outcome of his play, moving his yellow game piece excitedly.
“i’m sure it wasn’t that big of a deal, there are drafts all over this shithole,” thomas reasoned softly, the quietest of the group. he was the only one that actually looked concerned about the petrified face you wore. maybe he was trying to convince himself more than you.
“yeah you look like you’ve seen a ghost!” angela quips, sitting up from her place on the couch.
you’re sure she’s right. your white metallica t-shirt had ripped on your way out of the guest room, caught on a cracked piece of wood on the doorframe. it remained crumpled in your fist. your face, drained of all color, gave the impression that you’d seen something to convince your almost immediately you weren’t alone. there was something else lurking in the old shack they called a cabin and they needed to listen before it was too late.
ethan and joshua chuckle from their spots on the floor, atop a dingy carpet that had to be there for more than a decade - uncleaned at that. it made your skin crawl that the two looked comfortable among the filth of the creepy ass cabin they’d somehow convinced you to come to. in the middle of the woods, miles from the nearest house or rest stop, far enough from civilization to have you on your toes the moment you set your bag on the hand crocheted blanket on the bed.
“it’ll be fun,” they said.
yeah fun until strange happenings that you can’t explain start popping up and no one believes you. someone pulling on your foot in the middle of the night, pinching at your skin that can’t be coincidence, voices low but noticeable. isn’t this the plot of every horror movie? the girl that doesn’t want to come has all the bad shit happen and all of her dumbass friends mock her until they inevitably have their asses handed to them?
“maybe that’s because i have” you huff, eyes darting to every nook and cranny they could to ensure nothing took you by surprise for the second time. you know what you saw, and none of these drunken fools were going to listen to you, “you’re all telling me you didn’t hear that shit last night.”
this only induced more laughter from your group of friends, too rep-occupied making a joke out of the trip than actually considering that this cabin just might actually be haunted.
“unlike you ms night owl, we were beat from the what was it? 6 hour drive out here? i was practically in a coma,” ethan chuckled, much rather slurred.
neither twin knew the real history behind the cabin nor why their aunt had fled as fast as she could when she’d spent her entire life hidden away from society. they didn’t think it was strange she suddenly wanted a change and gave them the keys to her families cabin with no question? opened her doors to “kids” that had no other plans than to tell scary ghost stories and get drunk off their asses?
“thomas and e are right babe, my aunt helen even said herself that there are drafts and when the house settles it can get kind of freaky-“
“pictures don’t come flying off of the wall because of a draft. someone touched me grayson. nor does a window slam shut that i had to fight to open in the first place,” you turn your attention to your boyfriend, narrowed eyes and all. you thought for sure he’d be the one to believe you and come to your aid when everyone else chalked it up to an old house surrounded by the elements. he should have considering his complaints the entire ride to the cabin.
“i don’t really wanna deal with e trashed the whole weekend”
“there’s nothing for us to even do there”
“how the fuck are we even supposed to seep with angela and thomas trying to fuck every hour?”
“no air conditioning either, i hope the trees shade and fans will be enough because i’m out if i sweat the entire time.”
“it’s gonna be so fun sure, bugs and rodents and complete seclusion oh goody!”
would he ever admit to saying such things? doubtful.
trying to reason with them was pointless. the group of young adults merely rolled their eyes at your frantic attempt to make them understand there is something seriously wrong. something sinister and evil lurked in the depths of this house, right down to his foundation—you were sure of it. you weren’t saying you had some sort of intel on spirits destined to loop for eternity, demons, ghosts and gouls...but you weren’t a fool and you did have a gut feeling that the group of you needed to be as far away from the cabin as possible. you cared little that you’d arrived only yesterday. one night was enough to scare you for life.
“i can call her if it would make you feel better,” he softened under your intense gaze, hair disheveled on his head. his look of apprehension let you know that he knew now wasn’t the time nor the place to challenge your feelings or make this anymore embarrassing in front of your friends that didn’t believe you.
he had slept throughout the night, unbothered by the unexplained sounds throughout the night: walking, skittering in the walls, pictures swinging on their hooks, doors creaking open, even wind across your face when there wasn’t a single window open or fan on in the house. you tried to reason with him, but knew he’d talk you down from your hectic attempts to scare him into leaving with you.
“no signal, remember?” you sneer.
with a chill down your back you know the lot of you weren’t alone. you knew without a doubt, deep in your body, it was the entity there to join in on the show, front and center just waiting for the right moment to let the rest of unsuspecting kids know it didn’t want them here. just as it had been banging and messing about in the early morning hours.
eyes wide and unwavering on grayson’s you begged him to see your terror at the situation. you just wanted to get the hell away from the run down prison cabin and never look back.
a favor was a favor until it wasn’t. his aunt had known the spirits that lurked in the cabin, whenever they came from. she’d always been a strange woman, very reclusive - but suddenly you wonder what motive she had being so open about the lot of you using her abandoned cabin she fought so hard to leave. a favor for her favorite nephews right?
with a whisper you urge them all to quiet down, a hand flying to your mouth. you felt in an irrational way that if it heard the labored breaths coming from your buzzing body, it would feed off of that energy. the energy it thrives on.
“it’s here.”
“y/n, you look so fucking crazy right now for real maybe you should have gotten some sleep. in fact maybe you could lay down and we will just get you when the food is done-“ angela whines, moving towards you with her arms open for a sympathetic hug. she really thought she was helping matters.
“did you not hear me? i said it’s. here.” backing away from her arms was your first reaction, your voice shaky and small.
“what is? there isn’t anyone here y/n jesus fu-“
with ethans sentence caught in his throat and his hand propping his body up on the floor, the group of you watch from across the room as the cellar door creaks open slowly, catching the full attention of the inebriated kids just looking for a good time.
you’d have loved to say i told you so, but instead waiting for movement, stuck in your spot in horror.
“isn’t that normally locked?” thomas whispers from the corner, backing himself up as far as his body would allow, contouring himself against the white and blues of the peeling wallpaper.
“always. i’ve never even seen what’s down there...” grayson swallows, clearly petrified to move any part of his body from the way his hands clenched at his sides.
with your breath stuck in your chest, you watch as angela rises to her feet, bravely marching towards in the door in a heroic kind of way, swinging the door open and looking down onto what you assumed to be a long stretch of stairs.
“looks like we are about to find out.”

a/n: just something spooky and fun idk. cheesy horror movies are my vibe.

Scary Encounter by: @celestepravus
When I was younger, my family and I moved into an old house downtown in a rather sketchy neighborhood. At first it gave me creepy vibes but being so young I didn't catch onto it. The first few weeks were fine, but my parents found a locked door behind a false wall. It gave us the creeps but they were curious, so they opened it. The house inmediately got cold and ever since that happened, everyone experienced a scary encounter. I got nightmares and heard weird noises at night. My older brother said he saw and heard shadows and footsteps walking around. It got to the point where no one was sleeping. The nail in the coffin was when we were eating dinner and we heard walking and scratching around in the attic. Now that i think about it I could see it being rodents but as a kid, I got scared that it was a ghost. We moved out of that house the following month and haven't had a weird encounter like that again.

The Rat Miraculous
Just like Marinette, Adrien, Chloé, Alya and Nino, their classmates and other important teen characters have a concept attached to them, tying them up to a Miraculous and thus to a power that either support or contrast the character.
In this series of posts, I will speculate what power each remaining Chinese Zodiac Miraculous power might be based on the character(s) that will receive it.
Please note that below, you might find LEAKS such as some upcoming Miraculous holders concept arts for S3 shared by Jeremy Zag along with some S3 episode summaries provided by RTS Kids and others spoilers from the season.
Without further ado, let’s talk about the Rat Miraculous and its power!
In the intro of Season 2 and 3, Mylène is shown with Rat/Mouse, foreshadowing us she will be the Holder of the Rat Miraculous. So, let’s take a look at her to determine what the Rat Miraculous power might be.
Mylène’s initial character episode was in Horrificator. During that episode, the class is unable to film a short for a student movie competition because Mylène who is the lead role always get scared during the takes. She is then akumatized by Hawkmoth and becomes Horrificator
HM : Up until now, you have felt fear, from now on you will cause fear. And after you have shown them how they make you feel, you will do something for me in return.
Horrificator isn’t the single episode in which Mylène shows as afraid or anxious. It has actually occured in a few occasions. In Origins part 2, she has a jump scare as she encounters Ivan waiting for her outside the bathroom. Later, when Stoneheart has taken her to the Eiffel Tower, she yells she is afraid of heights. In Darkblade, when the class is inside the town hall and being seiged, Mylène backs away from the door, taking refuge in Ivan’s arms. In Zombizou, she wants to thanks Ms Bustier for her breathing lessons which has helped Mylène being less nervous during Akuma attacks.
The Miraculous Secrets episode about Mylène also highlight that trait of her, but also mention she puts her fears aside when something matters to her.
In the show, Roland Dupain is assisted by three rats. Roland is a character who is afraid of change which has lead him to stay mostly ignorant and quick to prejudices, refusing to try new stuff simply because he is not used to it. To the point he is convinced that any change is automatically bad and will refuse to adapt himself. This is a character who dislikes leaving his comfort zone.
Which bring me to this fable of Jean de la Fontaine named “Le Rat des villes et le Rat des champs”.
Basically, the city rat (or city mouse, it depends of the version) invites the country rat to a feast at its house. As they eat, disturbance occurs and the city rat runs away. The country rat follows its example. When peace is back, they get out of their hiding spot. The city rat wants them to continue their dinner but the country rat declines as it prefers to return to its country where it can eat quietly (aka without any fear) all the time.
I was lead to this fable because Mylène shares her name with the famous francophone singer, Mylène Farmer. And farmers as we know live in the country (as the morale of the fable praise living in the countryside instead of the city) and Mylène’s design is all about the peace and love movement alone with the pro-environment vibe. And the Rat Kwami is named Mullo, a corruption of the French word “Mulot” which design an harvest mouse. Do I need to say more?
Interestingly enough, in the fable, the rats are having a feast together and it happens there is an S3 episode called “Festin” (Feast in French) in which Master Fu’s past come haunt him back. Remember what was Fu’s nightmare during Sandboy? The ghosts of his past who blames him about the destruction of the temple, the fall of the Order of the Miraculouses, him losing the spellbook and two of the miraculouses. Festin is also the episode where Fu will take back Marinette and Adrien’s Miraculous in order to protect them. Meaning Marinette will not have Tikki on her which could explain why there is a concept art of her as a mouse-themed superhero. In the concept art that was leaked to us by Jeremy Zag, her name is revealed to be Multimouse which is a big give-away imo.
Multi as in multiple, multitude.
Another known tale in which the rat animal plays a part in is in the Pied Piper of Hamelin where a piper who claims to be a rat-catcher arrived in the village of Hamelin to get rid of a rat infestation. After the deed is done, the mayor comes back on his word, refusing to pay the piper, blaming him to have caused the infestation in the first place in order to exort the village.
If one rat or mouse can make you shriek, imagine the fear that sparks a large number of those rodents in a single place?
Mylène is shown in a demonstration in Reverser and demonstrations heavily rely on the number of participants to show either support or desapprobation about a particular subject. Basically, unity is strength and that seems even supported by the weapon of the Rat Miraculous.
In the concept art, we can see the weapon is a jumping rope, a toy with which you can play alone, but also in group when the length allows it.
So there you have it. I think the Rat Miraculous grants the power of Unity and allow its user to duplicate themselves. Now, I am not too sure about the power’s name, but my guess would be something similar to “Infestation”.

It’s a masterpiece.
Ghost is back with a brand new album, and, in short, it’s really fucking good.
The LP, titled Prequelle, marks the Swedish band’s fourth release and their first full-length production since 2015’s Grammy-winning Meliora. Acclaim and notoriety were firmly within the grasp of the outfit upon the release of that record, so, logically, the band would stay in tune with the sound that made them successful, right? Wrong.
With different musicians joining the Ghost team and frontman Tobias Forge adopting a new personality, Cardinal Copia, Prequelle finds the band fusing their theatrical, doom metal and hard rock sound with an ’80s aesthetic, resulting in not only their best record to date, but one that exceeds even the work of their classic influences.
It’s evidenced from the opening seconds of introduction track “Ashes” that Forge’s love for theater would remain as prominent on album four as it has been since day one. Beginning with an ominous spin on “Ring Around the Rosie,” the opening track rides an unsettling creepiness and sinister synthetic as it flows straight into “Rats,” the album’s lead single.
Forge has recently gone on record about the themes of Prequelle, stating that The Black Death was a big inspiration in the lyrical content of the album, which is pretty obvious after listening to “Rats'” four-plus minute runtime. One of the more uptempo songs of the compilation, this song oozes an ’80s vibe instrumentally, all while Cardinal Copia darkens the tone with lyrics such as, “Them filthy rodents are still coming for your souls.” Copia buckles down on the doom as the track comes to a close, warning listeners that “there’s nothing you can do” to escape the hell that will be brought down upon you by the titular creatures, who also serve as a metaphor for the toxic people in our lives.
“Faith,” the album’s third track, proves to be the heaviest on the record. The dark, heavy guitar riffs of Ghost are on full display as the song holds a mirror to both God and Satan, who allow widespread death to sweep throughout the world. Don’t be surprised if this is the next single released from the album as it provides a tonal shift from current singles “Rats” and “Dance Macabre.” Next up on Prequelle is “See the Light,” which sounds as though it was lifted straight from an arena rock catalogue. Alternating between typical darkness and an underhanded optimism, the track grows on you more with each listen.
The fifth song on the album, “Miasma,” is an instrumental track that combines heavier, atmospheric riffs, a standout bass line, and a theatrical synthetic sound, making for an experience that blends the type of music Ghost is known for with that of their new album, which will forever preserve their name among the greats. And there’s saxophone, so fuck, yeah.
“Dance Macabre,” Prequelle‘s second single, follows the instrumental number… and it’s pure ’80s bliss. Boasting what is, by far, the most upbeat tempo in all of Ghost’s discography, the track features a chorus that is destined for crossover mainstream success. With lyrics about living and loving in the face of imminent death, “Dance Macabre” finds a sliver of light to shine through the darkness. Following this catchy tune is “Pro Memoria,” which, musically, could not be any different than the song that came before. This one embraces the certainty of death, urging listeners to make their peace with it and live their lives to the fullest extent while they have a chance. There’s no point in fretting about something we’ll never change, after all. One of the standout tracks on Prequelle, “Pro Memoria,” finds a perfect balance between darkness and light. Try not to fall in love with the piano. I dare you.
Next up on the track list are “Witch Image,” an arena rock banger through and through, from it’s hooky opening riff and killer bass line (the best on the album) to it’s soaring chorus, and “Helvetesfönster,” the second instrumental, which takes cues from other songs throughout Prequelle and pulls them together for nearly six minutes of atmospheric, death-defying theater rock that captures the many tones that make this album so incredibly special.
Like most things in life, Ghost saves the best for last with “Life Eternal.” Rounding out the record in hauntingly beautiful fashion, this track exudes a sound that is reminiscent of Blue Oyster Cult, while, thematically, matching that band’s iconic song, “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper.” The emphasized lyric, “This is the moment of just letting go,” overcomes the listener with a sense of peace that is far greater than any fear we’ve ever had of death. It’s inevitable, as Prequelle is keen to point out, that we’re all going to die. But “Life Eternal,” in a way that only Ghost can, allows us to be okay with that. It’s the defining song on a masterful album that will etch the band in our minds… forever.
Coming in at just under 42-minutes, there’s no logical reason why you should deny yourself the immersive experience that is Prequelle. In their fourth LP, Ghost continues to push the boundaries of their theatrics, taking the band to new heights and leaving listeners with an album that we’ll be sinking our teeth into for many years to come.
It’s a masterpiece.
