Thank you for the asks for Phi! 🥰 I saw someone in an orange and black plaid shirt at work like half an hour ago and instantly thought of them, like that's going straight in their wardrobe 😅

👄: How do they talk? What's their vocabulary like? What does their voice sound like? Any accent, verbal tics, etc?

The best way I can describe Phi's voice is medium volume and kind of warm? It's quite soft and reassuring.

They have a good vocabulary because they're an avid reader. They don't generally talk pretentiously but if you get into a proper conversation with them it becomes obvious that they're intelligent.

They spent a lot of their childhood travelling around the US but Chicago is where they primarily grew up, and where they were still living as an adult until they decided to move.

They would say they don't have much of an accent, (to which I would say they have an American accent actually 😆) but I think a few Chicago-isms come out at times, usually when speaking quickly or when they're mad. They also pick up their dad's Jamaican accent on the pronunciation of a few words and in the occasional use of patois.

👃: Do they smell like anything in particular? Why do they smell like that?

Phi usually wears an expensive cologne that is of sentimental signficance to them. It smells primarily of neroli and grapefruit. Sometimes if they want something more feminine they might wear a perfume oil which is along the lines of jasmine, sea salt and champagne.

If they're not wearing anything I'd say the best description I can come up with for their natural scent is like a mild hint of coffee and walnut cake; rich, a little spicy, nutty and sweet.

🖌️: What is their go-to hobby? When did they start learning it? Why do they like it?

Phi's always been an avid reader. Their favourite genre is murder mystery but they will occasionally seek out straight up horror. With movies, it's kind of the other way around, they're quite pro-gore.

Phi's not a big gamer, but they do like strategy games, with a preference for turn-based.

Phi's parents insisted they undertake combat training from a young age and they still do, so while it's not really their thing, they can usually hold their own in a fight. The one part they do actually enjoy from that is fencing, and to some extent weightlifting.

Although Phi leans towards extroverted, they prefer to socialise 1-on-1 so if seeing a friend they will generally go out for a few drinks or something equally casual.

I was testing the few first moments of my vn where you meet Yotsuya and well... I didn't remember he had such uncomfortable sprites like he's literally occupying the whole screen lol. I mean he doesn't want you to look at anyone else... I guess it makes sense why he occupies all the potential space for other characters to appear? This is not the final look of the game that's for sure I'm still learning a lot about the program and how to use it so yeah, this is just experimental. I really like the aesthetic though, I'll keep some aspects of it for sure. I'm not satisfied with the look yet, but I just wanted to try something different, something less "classic" and more creative, I'll try to do more fun things with the UI :)
