“They’re not in the observatory.”

“I’m going to check the library.”

“Yes, but I know the library better than you, so I’ll just check it again.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?!”

“Mammon. Satan. Please.” Lucifer sighed while pinching the bridge of his nose. “This isn’t solving anything.”

For the past few hours they had been trying to search for [Y/N] with no prevail. The younger siblings were all gone on some outing, with Levi tagging along mostly to stop a GoblinStop for some new game, and they weren’t with them. No one at Purgatory Hall had heard from them either, and Lucifer was loathed to contact the castle and alert them as well.

“Well, they must be somewhere,” Satan rationalized, “they couldn’t just disappear.”

“What if they did disappear?”

“Humans don’t just disappear, Mammon.” He replied.

“This human??”

Lucifer and Satan both shrugged knowingly with a nod at Mammon’s remark. They supposed he did have a point.

“I’m going to go search the grounds.” Lucifer decided and went to get his cloak. “They obviously aren’t in the house, so they must be elsewhere.”

“Oh yeah. Brilliant deduction.” Mammon jabbed as he followed his older brother. “Yes, if they aren’t in the house they must be in the infinite other places a person could be.”

“Do you have a better idea?” Satan asked, also tagging along towards the closet.

“I said put a tracking spell on them months ago! But you all said that was creepy & weird!”

“It is creepy & weird.” Satan told Mammon. “They aren’t a dog you can just ID tag without their consent.”

“I’m not saying it like that! I’m saying like ‘find my phone’ or ‘track my location’ on the app. You guys are the one making it weird!”

“Gentleman,” The brothers turn to look towards their eldest, who was staring in the closet fondly. “They’re in here.” The boys look over Lucifer’s shoulder to find [Y/N] tucked up in a little ball, sleeping amongst the coats in the closet.

“What the hell are they doing in there?!” Satan & Lucifer hiss a shush at Mammon. “What the hell are they doing in there?!” He repeated in a whisper.

“They must have fallen asleep and lost track of time.” Satan deduced.

“Sure, but why are they in the closet?!”

“Privacy?”

“That’s the stupidest thing I ever heard! They have a bedroom! Sleep in there and lock it!”

“Belphie sleeps in closets sometimes.”

“Belphie once almost fell asleep in a bowl of soup and drowned. He’s not the example for what is normal when it comes to sleeping!”

“Levi sleeps in a tub.”

“That’s not normal either!!”

“Let’s just leave them here for now.” Lucifer decided and quietly shut the door. “We know where they are now, and that’s the important thing.”

“I still don’t get it. Like…sleeping on the couch or at a desk I get, but a closet.”

“Maybe it’s not for us to get.” Satan told Mammon as they left [Y/N] alone to sleep.

“We each have our own little oddities. By the way,” Lucifer commented as he turned to Mammon, “that ‘sleeping at a desk’ better be hypothetical, if you know what’s good for you.”

Mammon gulped and insisted it was purely hypothetical. Now he wished he could sleep in a closet for the night to stay safe from Lucifer.

Okay, I'm putting my conspiracy hat on a little. But.

6 seasons of what did honestly feel a little queerbait-y on Fox. And then 4 episodes into the run on ABC they're like "hey so what if this was canon"??? That feels so much like everyone on the show wanted it, or at least wanted Buck to be queer, like the writers and the actors and everything, but the network was refusing. Like. That just stinks of Meddling.

It really feels like the show will get to do more on ABC now than it ever did on FOX.

ah okay so i'm going to kind of ramble a bit

so i - personally - do not agree with the queerbaiting part. not only did we have queer characters in the show (hen, karen, michael, david, eva and just confirmed buck) but also multiple random characters that were also queer starting from the beginning of the show who were not queerbaited at all. (minus your opinion on buck being with eddie.)

as much as FOX sucks ass, they never queerbaited. when you think queerbait, picture what teen wolf did to stiles and derek with their promotions and empty promises to fans to watch the show just one more episode. FOX didn't do that at all!! i think that the issue was they just didn't want buck and eddie to be together for whatever reason they had. and i've also seen a lot of hate towards tim lately or the general "well i love tim now/he's lying about how he had these things planned from the start" or whatever. tim actually started making little innocent nods towards buddie beginning in season 2 and he confirmed that it was for the queer fans to see as well and he loved the idea of buck and eddie as a couple. when season 3 happened, FOX cut down on that pretty hard and in season 4, tim left for the spin off

and then enter us getting cancelled and moving to ABC, which this network just went right for it but i think that's because tim came back and wanted to do this and oliver confirmed that he went to oliver with the pitch of bisexual buck (+whatever else is coming in the next episodes/season)

anyway i'm ranting but tldr;

but yeah, i agree that everyone wanted it (oliver, ryan and jennifer have had their own opinions posted online), FOX never queerbaited us, ABC was more open to the idea and knew their audience better than FOX clearly did + add tim being allowed to do what he has been wanting to do with his characters on a better network and you basically have what's happening during this season lmao

between the casting of nathan fillion as movie hermes and LMM for show hermes, it’s clear that no casting director understands hermes. and i’m not a book hermes expert or anything, i don’t have all his scenes memorized, but i KNOW they aren’t getting it right!! they keep casting these silly goofy guys and they are misunderstanding the assignment!!! he comes off as this chill, laid back guy (kind of like percy’s first impression of luke) but he’s got a lot of bitterness underneath and he points fingers at all the wrong people for what happened to luke (blaming annabeth especially) but he’s still broken up over what happened to may castellan and wants to help luke but he can’t and he didn’t and he’s a bad father but still loves his son and!!!!!!!
