Xisuma was kidnapped by the watchers who are God's, and the hermits just killed the ones that got in their way to save their boyfriend
It wasn't pretty. It was never going to be, killing a god is a beautiful thing but you hardly walk out all sunshine and roses.
After the absence, none of them could wait to hug Xisuma and check he's safe. It was terrifying. They're all going to need a bit of time to recover from it.
And a shower. Maybe a nice, long bath.

Why don't you draw Sybil Vane cutting off Lord Henry's head with her Claymore?
Consider it done! :D

Bonus: Sybil decapitated Dorian too, while she was at it. (Based on the statue "Perseus with the Head of Medusa.")

POM POM: KILLER OF MASCOT GAMES #2
Pom Pom vs Conker T. Squirrel
"I had just a wooooonderful experience today! Y'know, I don't consider myself much of a craftsman, but I got to fix a broken table leg and I think I did preeeettttyyyy good for a beginner! I didn't even have to find any wood or anything- I just found a waste of space to put under it! Hehahauhaha!"
Previous Next
Character/concept description:
Pom Pom is a virus/glitch formed by the scrapped side-scrolling arcade game from the early 90's “Pom-Pom Panic”. Pom Pom (the main character of Pom Pom Panic) for whatever reason gained sentience halfway during the game’s development. The game was cancelled halfway because the publishing company thought it was too bizarre of a concept and mascot character to gain interest. Pom Pom heard of the news and took it way too personally, as she literally cannot fathom why someone would think she’s ‘bizarre’-even to the point of getting ‘axed’. Prompted by the ‘poor judgement’ Pom Pom went rouge-breaking from her game to ‘axe’ any ‘approved’ game mascots/characters she thought could count as ‘bizarre’ like her.

"That's the idea with Barry — there's this inherent violence in people and inherent violence and culture and action. And it's like, okay, can you do one of these sequences but at the same time hold true to the essence of the show? A lot of the action scenes in Barry, I always feel it's nice when they're just brutal and stupid. That somehow merges in my mind — the brutality of it and the stupidity of it."

Grian is no stranger to supernatural occurrences. The last house he had before his current one was extremely haunted. Of course he didn't just lay back and be scared. No, this man used the holy water duping trick till he had a full closet of holy water and then put it in air humidifiers he had blessed, and as if that wasn't enough, he burnt a full stick of sage in each room. When all the weaker ghosts were cleared out, Grian was left with the demon trapping them all there, so he wrapped rosaries around his fists and beat the demon sensless.
The only reason he moved out after all that was one of his human neighbors was being annoying, but since the guy was a human, he couldn't really do much about him.
Not even a week into living in the new house a fae named Scar started sneaking around and leaving little pranks. If Grian went out to confront him, Scar would sweet talk his way out of consequences. Once Grain started to get more used to Scar's charms, he tried messing with him. Scar wanted to trade pants, so Grian leaned on the door frame, forcing Scar to press himself against the door, looked Scar dead in the eyes, and said that they could do the pants swap in Grian's room. This lead to Grian having to deal with a now stunned and flustered fae on his front porch.
Grian grew up in an... eccentric family, to say the least. It's the kind of family that gave him the experience for these situations, though.
And, what better way to outsmart a Fae than to trap them in their own social rules? Scar can't decline, lest he appears ungrateful for the trade, so Grian gets to watch the Fae squirm. The way Scar is blushing suggests it isn't just because Grian outsmarted him, though...
Huh. Maybe he can have more fun with this than he thought.

Ellen always told herself it was worth it. It was worth the slander and accusations and whatever DC threw at her, because the people needed someone to fight for them, and she was a fighter.
But now her son is on a cross-Atlantic flight and he’s fighting too. For himself and Henry. For their love. And she’s so proud of him. She’s proud she raised one hell of a fighter.
Then Ellen remembers how scared he looked. She remembers the way Alex shook apart in her arms that morning, and she wonders for the first time:
Was it worth it?

Thinking about Laura saying "I was alone with him" three times.
It reminds me of two things... The first, from earlier in the book [about Count Fosco and Madame Fosco]:
The rod of iron with which he rules her never appears in company—it is a private rod, and is always kept upstairs. The Woman in White - Second Epoch, Part 2
And the second from The Tenant of Wildfell Hall [between Ralph Hattersley and his wife Milicent, when she tries to remind him that they are in company]:
“Do let me alone, Ralph! Remember, we are not at home.” “No matter: you shall answer my question!” exclaimed her tormentor; and he attempted to extort the confession by shaking her, and remorselessly crushing her slight arms in the gripe of his powerful fingers. The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, Chapter 31
