A/N: I’ve never read the books, so this is a combination of the Villeneuve films, the Dune Wiki, and a heavy dose of just making shit up lol. I try my best to make Reader as nondescript as possible, but there are mentions of having periods and body hair in later chapters. As a warning up front, this will not have a Happily Ever After ending, but maybe more like Happy For Now?

One week. It had only been one week on Giedi Prime, and you fought the urge to wallow in your hopelessness. What possible work could you hope to achieve in a world such as this? Its cruelty was beyond animal.

Any words that were used to describe the Harkonnen were pleasant and altruistic compared to what I have already witnessed here, you wrote to your aunt. You did not care if even Baron Vladimir himself read your letters—perhaps he wouldn’t even bother. I will endure, as the Imperium wills it, but I cannot seem to shake the helplessness I feel. This is not Salusa Secundus. This is not like anything I’d ever encountered. Am I selfish to wish any kind word is given to me in hopes it breaks the dread that I feel?

Thankfully, your aunt responded quickly, and you waited until you were concealed in your quarters to read the metal scroll. I have foreseen this and I apologize—it was revealed to me in a dream, but I couldn’t give you a proper warning. There is more yet to come, and that is all I’m permitted to say. I will send word to House Almanac and speak with their confrere.

Bianca twitched. "Well," she said, tucking her hair behind her ears again. "I solved two problems, really. Eros is weakened to combine his forms, so it was easy enough to steal his bow and arrow-" Hazel's heart shot down to her stomach. "And, I know. I know that's wrong. But I was thinking about it, and it's actually perfect because if we want free will, then Eros is a stupid idea anyway, right?" she asked. "So, maybe Percy and Jason should be the last pairing Eros makes!"

"Wha- what?" Hazel managed, fighting to keep calm.

"What does that mean?"

"That Eros shouldn't exist in this new world. And if Percy gets Zeus' divinity, we'd need another to bring Nico back."

"What did you do?" Hazel asked, going cold. "Bianca, where is Eros?"

P.S. This whole thing was primarily inspired to by my desire to prove Nagito's assumptions from chapter 4 wrong:

Most of these are fortunatelly not true when we also take V3 into account: while Rantaro was important, he wasn't stabbed; a serial killer was revealed in the third chapter, not the in the second; and I wouldn't exactly classify chapter 4 murder as a suicide in either sdr2 or v3 (though we DID have two people playing Russian roulette in the Funhouse, yikes). All in all, the murders wouldn't have been nearly as shocking if they correlated with what had been already pointed out in the second game before, so I'm not really surprised that there ended up being other similarities among the murders.

also aww i'm glad you enjoy my take on anidala - thank you for saying i can write it well! i don't think i would ever actually write it or obianidala, that's just not me. when i write the pairing, i spend way too much time emphasizing all the problems they have and how incompatible they are and how their break-up is inevitable, and that's pretty much my thoughts on the ship (i'm sorry to multishippers on my blog!!) but i do try really hard to write padmé as a whole character though, not just a stepping stone to get to obikin and maybe that's why it comes off as being written well? i don't really like fics where padmé's only there to get in the way of the end-ship and i also don't like fics where she gracefully steps aside so that obi-wan and anakin can be together, so many of my stories that feature anidala on some level (couples counseling, a more perfect union) take a look at all the flaws in their relationship but also the flaws in both her and anakin. for me, it makes her feel like a more rounded character, and maybe it comes across as a fleshed out relationship that could possibly survive if not for- (enter obi-wan, stage left)
