i have a soft spot the size of Antarctica for Late Late AU fics (we stan James Corden) and for exes to lovers so this checks all the boxes.

Jeongyeon had been busy with work for three months now. More and More promotions were about three weeks from ending, three weeks too long for you.
During times like this you aren’t able to see Jeongyeon everyday. Hell you are barely able to even have a phone conversation for more than ten minutes. Despite this you two always make it work, even though it’s a little hard.
But this time was a little different.
Jeongyeon hadn’t been able to call you much at all, you’ve only talked to her once this month. You did your best to keep up with her through fan updates and other accounts. Often, you found yourself watching Twice’s stages and other interviews quite frequently.
It was 1 AM when you got a V-Live notification reading 2연.
Clicking on the notification, it took you to the app, opening Jeongyeon and Nayeon’s livestream. You smiled at the sight of your girlfriend, progressively getting happier as you watched.
However slowly that happiness faded as you watched the two share skin ship. Nayeon was very affectionate especially towards Jeongyeon. But after you and Jeongyeon started dating she did it less frequently.
You couldn’t seem to tear your eyes from the screen, feeling jealousy bubble up from inside as the two hugged closely, giggling softly to each other. Feeling your heart sting when Nayeon rested her head on Jeongyeon’s shoulder, very obviously holding her hand. Nayeon almost inaudibly said “you’re so pretty...” Jeongyeon laughed at the sudden compliment, a blush forming in her cheeks.
Not wanting to watch any longer you closed the app, tossing your phone off the bed with a huff. What you didn’t know was Jeongyeon’s response to her member. Your girlfriend pushed Nayeon off her gently, reminding her that she had a girlfriend.
Your mind lingered on the interaction despite you trying to not think about it. Replaying the scene over and over in your head, getting more upset by the minute.
The sound of your phone buzzing against your bedside table filled your room. You picked it up and saw Jeongyeon was trying to call you. Thinking for a minute you decided not to answer it. Telling yourself It’s fine she has Nayeon.

For the next few weeks you ignored almost all of Jeongyeon’s calls. You kept text message conversations short, only using a few words per sentence.
She immediately noticed the way you became distant but she couldn’t figure out why because you wouldn’t talk to her. Jeongyeon became more and more desperate to see you so she could just sort out the issue.
When she came home it was the middle of the afternoon. You were in your room tidying up your bed and drawers when you heard her shout “baby i’m home!”
Letting out a soft “in here” you continued to put your clothes away. Your eyes landed on Jeongyeon, not for long though as you ignored her.
A frown formed on her face and she pulled your arm so you’d look at her again. Her thumb grazing over the top of your hand he asked “Babe why are you ignoring me?” Snatching your hand away you responded “Jeongyeon-ah, go back to Nayeon...”
With that she dropped your hand and left the apartment, closing the front door behind her. You now wished she actually tried to talk to you, something she usually does when you’re ignoring her. Instead she just got up, probably going to her best friend to get what you weren’t giving her. Your stomach turned at the thought of the two girls together.

Hours passed and Jeongyeon still didn’t return, you moped around your apartment waiting for her. Going back into your room you decided to just watch TV to pass time.
Eventually you heard the front door fly open, too embarrassed to even show your face you simply stayed in bed. You heard Jeongyeon clearly doing something in the kitchen and main room but you just let her be.
After a while she finally opened the door and slowly walked in. Looking at her you looked down at your lap, feeling slightly ashamed that you treated her the way you did.
Reaching a hand out she told you “follow me.” Looking at her for a moment you wondered why she wasn’t mad at you. Grabbing your hand she pulled you lightly, helping you stand up.
When you got to the kitchen and main room you saw balloons, flowers, your favorite foods, skincare products and more.
Looking at your girlfriend in confusion you asked “wha- I was mean why are you doing this?”
Wrapping her arms around your waist she kissed you gently, “I’m sorry...I was the one who messed up first. I shouldn’t make you doubt my feelings for you. You didn’t deserve that.”
You leaned forward resting your head against her, “I need to apologize too, I was being immature. You didn’t deserve that either.”
Kissing you on the forehead she asked “are we good now?” You nodded with a smile as she pulled you to the kitchen where all you favorite foods were waiting for you.
The rest of your night was spent eating your favorite foods and dancing around the kitchen.
Now the two of you were laying in bed watching your favorite movie. Legs tangled under the blankets, you were pulled close against Jeongyeon.
Your girlfriend kissed you gently before saying “I love you so much. Never think that I love anyone the way I love you. You’re the only one for me, my only one.”

What are they like on social media? (What’s their username, profile pic, etc.) - gustave knows how to operate social media, and is familiar with certain niches on many of them, but doesn’t have any accounts of his own. he just doesn’t really care enough. there is a fanpage of him on instagram, courtesy of twitch and julien. speaking of, julien has an account on twitter, instagram, snapchat, and vsco, and is extremely active on all of them. here’s what he uses them for:

What’s their sleeping schedule? - gustave has no sleep schedule to speak of. when he next collapses is purely up to the gods. he has slept for 72 hours straight, and he’s gone a week on several well-timed 30 minute power naps. julien, meanwhile, is a bit of a health nut, so he is very serious about his schedule, specifically, when he eats, excercises, sleeps, wakes up, everything has a specific time slot. at the same time, he can and will get up in the middle of the night for a snack, prompting gustave to set up a surveillance system with speakers so if julien tries to eat their supply of ice cream, gustave can yell at him. this has led to julien avoiding the kitchen after dark because “god resides there after-hours”
Favorite music? - gustave likes classic and new wave rock (think the Beach Boys, Queen, The Talking Heads, David Bowie, Elton John, The B-52′s, Depeche Mode, and many others) but he also really likes music in general, so he doesn’t have a real favorite. julien will only listen to a genre he describes as “gay yearning and longing with hints of faerie and cottagecore aesthetics” so, hozier and cavetown.
How’s their cooking? - gustave is a culinary mastermind and julien nearly burnt down the kitchen making microwave ramen
It’s movie night, what movie do they pick? - i think it was @juduseye that wrote about gustave loving Casablanca, and honestly that hc is 🔥🔥🔥. i think julien would pick a movie like Princess and the Frog, Mulan, Atlantis, and other movies from disney’s “weird” period

How much do they swear? - gustave will only swear in worst case scenarios (which are more common than he cares to admit), and julien likes seeing the scandalized looks on people’s faces when they hear him cuss someone out
Do they like being in pictures? - gustave will allow like three people to photograph him, because he likes their style and knows they won’t do him dirty with angles and such. julien is self-conscious about his smile, so he usually does it to em in group pictures

Take A Trip: Advice on How to See Bill, From Someone Who Went a Long Way to See Bill
since Cipher Hunt ended and the statue of Bill was moved to Confusion Hill, I’ve gotten to visit the park and the statue twice. when folks reblog the post I made about my first trip, I often see added comments along the lines of “I want to visit so badly!” or “I want to go there someday!” so I thought I’d put together a post with information, tips, and resources that will help you get to Bill when you finally take your own trip.
If you have any questions after reading this post, feel free to ask! just remember that you’re liable for your own experiences when traveling. I’ll update this post if I find any other helpful resources. younger fans, you’re welcome to show this post to parents if it’ll help them plan the your family next vacation.
planning your trip to Bill all depends on how far away you are from Confusion Hill, what your budget is, how many days your trip will be, if there are other things you want to do while you’re vacationing, where your trip will end, and how you want/need to travel. the rest of this post is broken down based on that last factor, because I think it’s the most important factor to decide on when planning a trip to this area. so, without further ado...
when to travel
I’ve found that late spring to early summer is best. while you may find some rain this time of year, mid to late summer days can be very hot, and the roads are treacherous in winter when the most precipitation falls. late April through June will give you good weather conditions, longer days than you would have in the fall, and will help you avoid the holidays, when campgrounds fill up and hotels increase their prices.
what the area is like
first of all, northern California is beautiful. the area around the 101, especially, is easily some of the most incredible nature I’ve ever seen.
your drive may take you through the Redwoods National and State Parks, the Humboldt Redwoods State Park, the Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park, and the Klamath National Forest. a couple of scenic byways run along parts of the 101, taking drivers through hidden patches of towering redwoods. the number of parks in the area means are many campgrounds around Confusion Hill, so if you and your travel party are avid campers, you have a ton of options.
northern California (and southern Oregon) is also conservative. you may see confederate flags and Trump/Pence signs. I want to include this so that anyone who feels scared or uncomfortable in this kind of environment will know about it ahead of time. I hope this doesn’t stop anyone from taking a trip they’d really want to take, but if the knowledge of this atmosphere will help prepare you for your trip, then I’m more than willing to offer it.
if you gotta fly
first of all, you have to have a car to get to Confusion Hill. NorCal is notoriously unpopulated, and because Confusion Hill is pretty far from anything, you’ll have to have a vehicle to get to there. this section is for folks who would rather fly most of the way than drive, or who are visiting the area from out of the country.
There are two obvious options when it comes to flying: Portland (PDX) to the north or San Francisco (SFO) to the south, but just driving to Bill from those airports present some logistical problems.
PDX is pretty far from Confusion Hill, about a 9 hour drive. If you choose this route, consider splitting up the journey over two days. The 101 is not well lit and is a difficult drive even in ideal conditions, so it’s not a trip you want to rush unnecessarily or a drive you want to make in the dark.
SFO is closer to Confusion Hill (less than 4 hours in ideal conditions), but it’s also on the south side of the city. When you land at SFO and get on the 101, you have to drive through a lot of the main part of the city (read: a ton of traffic, construction) and over the Golden Gate Bridge (cool, but narrow and kind of nerve-wracking) in order to leave the city and head north. Even though Google says it’s less than 4 hours from SFO to Confusion Hill, it will probably take longer because of traffic, so consider this when planning your route and arrival time.
If you’re okay with flying but not keen on driving a lot or battling traffic or renting a car for too many days in a row, here is the most hassle-free way to get to Bill I could think of:
Fly to Portland (PDX)
From PDX, fly to Arcata-Eureka Airport (ACV) in McKinleyville, CA.
Rent a car (there’s a National right next to the airport)
Here’s the route from ACV to Confusion Hill—just drive south on the 101 for a little over two hours.
Here’s where you have to make your own comparisons. Whether or not the above suggestion will work for you depends on if you want/can rent a car, how many days you want your trip to be, how many people are with you and how old they are, and about a dozen other factors. The above plan isn’t necessarily the best, it’s just the least amount of driving possible, the least amount of overall time it would take to get to Confusion Hill, and the least amount of traffic. you can use this plan as a base from which you can build your own itinerary to suit you.
for example, I also recommend the same plan but from PDX to the Del Norte County Regional Airport in Crescent City, CA (here’s the Hertz next to that airport). Crescent City is a little more conveniently located if you’re planning to spend some time both in NorCal and South Oregon. The drive to Confusion Hill is twice as long, but you’ll see some incredible redwoods and you’ll also pass Trees of Mystery and the Benbow Inn on your way. again, it depends on how much you want to/can drive and how long your vacation is.

if you want your trip to be like the Mystery Tour
the 2013 Mystery Tour was a trip that Alex Hirsch and much of the GF production team took in order to get inspiration for season 2 (and just for fun before starting work on the last season). Hirsch talks about the trip in this interview with Media Mike’s, in which he says the team rented a van and “basically went up US Route 101 and spent four days visiting this stretch of road between California and Oregon that is known for having some of the craziest tourist traps on this coast.”
that stretch of road was Highway 101, of course, and US Route 199, a highway that connects the 101 and Interstate 5. Alex mentions five locations in the article: Confusion Hill, The Benbow Inn, Trees of Mystery, It’s A Burl, and The Oregon Vortex. He also says, “We just went up to the Southern tip of Oregon and back down...” There are a few ways the crew could’ve done this: driving from LA north on I5 all the way to the Oregon Vortex and looping first west on the 199 and then south on the 101,
flying to SFO then north on I5, west on 199, and back south on 101 (this route could also be taken the opposite way: north on 101, east on 199, south on I5, which I like to think is a little more similar to the bus trip Dipper and Mabel took from their home in Piedmont to Gravity Falls),
another possible way to hit all these locations is to fly to PDX or a smaller airport off I5 (like Salem or Eugene) and then drive south on I5 until the Grant’s Pass area, visit the Oregon Vortex, take 199 west to the 101, then south towards SFO:
you’ll pass Confusion Hill on any of these routes. for your own tour, the route that suits you will depend on factors like where you’re coming from, how many days you want your trip to be, etc.
there are more tourist traps and parks in this general area that Alex and the team visited—Enchanted Forest is a couple of hours north of the Oregon Vortex, for example (you’ll pass it if you start at PDX and go south), and the 101 is littered with other attractions, like the One Log House. it’s a beautiful drive either way, and if you’re able to spend some time exploring the region this way, I highly recommend it.
if you just wanna drive
go for it. if you really want to take a road trip, do it. I’ve road tripped across the country twice now and I am so, so glad I did. it is an incredible experience well worth having.

plot your route ahead of time and stick to it. estimate how many miles you need to drive every day in order to reach your destination by your desired arrival date. if you’ll be driving through any major cities, make sure to avoid morning and afternoon rush. if you’ll be stopping to sightsee during your trip, make an itinerary.
calculate the approximate cost of your trip, including gas, hotel, and food. put extra money aside in case something happens to your car while you’re traveling.
get your vehicle checked out by a professional before you start your trip! this includes getting your oil changed, checking your break and power steering fluids, making sure your battery is charged, and making sure your tires aren’t too old.
call your bank and let them know you’ll be traveling and using your card out of state
make sure your car insurance plan is up-to-date with the kind of coverage you need
reserve hotel rooms ahead of time. you don’t necessarily have to have this done for your whole trip before you leave; I find that, so long as your trip isn’t around a holiday and you’re not staying in the middle of a big city, you can call a hotel 6 to 12 hours before your arrival and you’ll be able to get a room. here’s how I did it:
open the Maps app on your phone (or use Google Maps on your computer) and pick the town you want to stay in. I tried to pick medium sized towns close to the mile amount I had to drive each day in order to reach my ultimate destination by the day I planned.
zoom in on that area until you can see hotels off the road you’re taking. compare them to see which one you’d like to stay at. check out reviews for how clean the rooms are, prices, pet acceptance, etc. make a selection based on what matters to you.
Call and reserve a room. If you don’t like talking on the phone, make a friend do it. If none of you like talking on the phone, reserve your next room online before you leave that morning. If it applies to you, don’t forget to ask if a hotel offers AAA, military, or other discounts.
Speaking of AAA, if you can afford it, get it. for those not familiar, AAA is a roadside assistance program that provides a fast and easy way to get help when something happens to your vehicle, from running out of gas to locking your keys in your car. it is a fantastic service that is well worth the money, especially when taking a trip away from home.
A checklist of essentials:
car charger for your phone, and an external battery
snacks and water
spare car key, even if it’s not one with a fob
your car’s owner’s manual, your vehicle title and registration, and your insurance card
physical maps that cover your whole route
enough cash to pay for at least one tank of gas, and some spare cash for tolls if you’re expecting any
paper towels, hand wipes, toilet paper, small trash bags
a first aid kit, and if you take prescription meds, make sure you have enough to get you through your whole trip
car maintenance items like coolant, oil, windshield wiper fluid, donut, carjack, and jumper cables
flashlights, flares, and other safety equipment (see safety section)
stuff that will help you get through the drive, like coloring books, music, podcasts, crafts, etc.

how to travel safe:
travel with a group. whether it’s with family or friends, always travel with at least one other person, especially if you’re going a long distance.
always lock your doors if your car isn’t moving
always go everywhere with a friend. don’t go anywhere alone and don’t let your friends out of your sight for very long. if you do have to go alone, let someone know where you’re going and when you’ll be back.
let friends and family members not traveling with you know where your trip will take you and when you’ll reach your ultimate destination. check in with a friend or family member throughout your trip.
don’t use your phone while driving—leave navigation to your passengers!
check your car’s fluid levels and tire pressure in the morning before you leave your hotel to reduce your chances of breaking down while on the highway.
get defensive items like whistles and pepper spray. my dad got me this sweet metal flashlight that is also a bat.
if you break down on the highway and you feel unsafe, call local law enforcement and explain your situation. this will at least let them know about your location and situation, and if you suspect danger, then request officer come out and stay with you until vehicle assistance can reach you. in any case, stay in your car, make sure your valuables are out of sight, and lock your doors. don’t walk along the side of the road and do not hitchhike.
plan your trip so that you reach your destination before sundown
when visibility is low, drive slow! if you’re driving on roads you’re not used to, or weather conditions are bad, take your time. slow down, use the right lane, use designated turnouts if someone is tailgating you (lock your doors if you do this), and take breaks or switch drivers if needed.
be aware of your surroundings. if someone gives you a bad vibe, leave. if a place looks sketchy, skip it, or if you have to stop, get in and get out as quickly as possible. get yourself to a place where you feel safe first, and ask questions/apologize later.

hey! let’s talk! about me!
I’m gonna bullet list in hopes to keep this concise (UPDATE THIS SHIT IS A LOT LONGER THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE AND I THINK I WILL BE MAKING SEPARATE POSTS), bc i know it definitely isn’t going to be very organized. Before i had my fucking mental breakdown this afternoon, i actually had a lot of thoughts this morning. Some good, some bad, but i felt like i was taking the time to really acknowledge and process some things that.. I don’t get to acknowledge and process often. Or that i just flat out refuse to, or i choose to repress memories, or am still struggling with “wait, did that really happen or am i making it up,” which apparently is a sign of childhood emotional negligence or some shit like that. So basically this will prob end up being a series of extremely personal anecdotal text posts that i have shared with.. Absolutely no one prior to now, for all of my two followers to read (but tbh y’all don’t even have to, i’m mostly keeping this up here for me & prob to have something to share w my therapist, but i won’t stop y’all)
Part I - Oh no, I Caught “The Gay!”
Alright, so boom: sexuality. I know i don't shut up about being gay, i know i am entirely way too hype about having a gf and being absolutely fucking smitten with her (AND WOMEN IN GENERAL), but when it feels like i’ve been forced into being silenced about that for sooo fucking long, shit can you blame me? I’ve been pretty open about it as an adult (p much 20 & on or so), it wasn’t like.. This huge secret or anything, but it also wasn’t something i went out of my way to make public. I never officially came out, and unfortunately when people found out it was because this real crazy chick decided to out me out of nowhere and i guess i just figured i had to own up to it, i didn’t really care what people thought of it then. It was weird answering questions, but easier to navigate in my 20s, though more on that later. I did let my partners know if i was dating anyone seriously (as seriously as you can as a teenager anyway), but past that idk, it just never came up. And i sometimes envy the younger kids/adults that like.. Have all these resources and labels available to them now, you know. I feel like its a lot easier to explore who you are and your identity today than it was when i was in middle school, having an extremely hard time sorting out my feelings for my “friends” (read as: i usually thought i just really wanted to be their friend, but also was v aware of how attractive they were to me, but it didn’t seem okay to talk about; whereas, middle schoolers now are a little more open? Have more labels? i have always settled for gay, Bc i did like and develop feelings for guys too but even then knew i liked my friends more). And i mean it was always something i personally was okay with, i wouldn’t deny myself the pleasure of finding girls attractive whatsoever. It’s weird looking at kids now like “oh no, they’re only children!” But i was all of 11 yrs old, first day of sixth grade, when i literally prayed that hands down THE prettiest girl in my 5th period would sit next to me as soon as i saw her walk in and had instant butterflies when she smiled at me and took that empty desk, like holy shit lmao (bruh.. She was 5’1”, puerto rican, and in my head at the time, looked RIGHTTTTT. We were partners in that class for the rest of the year and best friends outside of that class and her voice & her laugh, like bro!!!! Again, confusing and frustrating to have a crush on her, know that, be her friend and hello ofc she’s gorgeous so every boy was always after her too. Navigating feelings was so hard, but then i found a boy to crush on and felt normal again lmao). BUT it just seemed like the normal thing to do was not talk about it or ever bring it up to anyone at all at any point in time which i realize now is.. Yikes lmfao. I think it would have been different if i had someone to navigate that with, i was “mature” enough to figure it out on my own, and know to just keep it to myself, and accept it and not feel like a weirdo or anything, but not always be so eager to act on it. Again the older i’ve gotten, the easier it’s been to tell the story of how my parents thought the neighboring boy and i were so cute together in pre-k & meanwhile i was kissing this one girl during nap time, lmao. So like, i’m okay with that much; i don’t and never have felt guilty about being gay (bi, pan, whatever), even growing up in a church bc it rly was something that just came naturally to me from the jump. Puberty was slightly confusing but not a total shock either.
High school was even more so challenging and confusing? Bro. one of my best friends (and we’re def still friends now) and i were very close and the bitch had absolutely no boundaries whatsoever. Granted she had always been like that, I had been friends with her since the 6th grade as well and had seen her with other girls and boys but never put too much thought into it (you will see that this is my reaction to 90% of shit that happens to me). I’ve posted before and recently about being gay but not wanting to be predatory but getting mixed signals in “regular girl friendships,” and this was fucking textbook, lmao. I never got my hopes up or anything, and i just didn’t consider being with her a real option, but yeah, no, i deadass liked her and i’m sure she knew and didn’t mind the attention either lmao. Call it my first situationship i guess, lmao. We shared a locker so she would leave me notes and gifts, and vice versa, we’d bake for each other, we’d walk to class together, usually have lunch together, so on and so forth; she had no problem holding my hand and hugging me and being affectionate and calling me baby but like.. We weren’t dating. That was a thing. I both welcomed it and brushed it off; i was really comfortable with her physically, but still thinking i should only be dating boys even though they made me extremely uncomfortable and i’d flinch if they got too close (lmao, i have an entire separate section ready for men; cue eyeroll). I mean she kind of lead me on but not rly? I knew not to take it srsly BUT i also knew i’d be down as fuck if she ever changed her mind lmfao. Deadass she’s a 10/10 both then and now and she’d always do this cuuuute thing where she’d wrap her hands around my neck and kiss my nose and bruh i’d melt. Most people were already convinced we were dating *shrug* anyway though, this guy tried to hook up w me but i was like ehhhh so he ended up hooking up w her instead and i started dating my first boyfriend (who was terrible, abusive, and legitimately ruined my life in the short span of 10 months or so but that’s in the men’s section). It’s not like all of that magically stopped either though but i never pressed her for anything more, just entertained her and got butterflies every time she would hit me w that “i’d so love to date you” but her issue was she was comfortable with women but not sexually. I obviously wasn’t trying to sleep w her at 14, but i get it, that's her prerogative & it never got in the way of our actual friendship & i 100% value her as JUST my friend, she’s been rly great to me and has been there for the shittiest of times and has gotten me out of some rough spots. It was what it was lol. And there were other pretty girls after her that i would have considered pursuing but just never went for it. There was this senior girl i had for a class the following year and she also was and still is just jaw-dropping, beautiful, like holy shit. Something about her reminded me of strawberries and just made me feel cozy, you know? She always smelled nice, her hair was strawberry blond wellll past her waist, and she had to have been dumb to not notice me checking her out 25/8. Anyway though, i’m not trying to talk about every single girl i’ve had a crush on; the point is, i have always been firm on my sexuality you know, i never felt like i had a “questioning” phase and it just felt normal (and it has been annoying to have people question just bc i wasn’t “out” long enough to them? Or bc i’m straight passing as far as being fem + dating shitty guys goes). The only weird part was just never pursuing or never having the means to, obviously every girl is 500% straight in high school, or they sure were back then at least. I knew all of like two or three openly out girls and while i was not interested in none of them, i did envy the confidence they had not in just “hey i’m GAY,” but one of them was notorious for just pursuing any girl she was interested in and having it work in her favor? Even the “straight” ones? In my head i could only think like bro how the fuck? Anyway, proceed w checking chicks out on the sly and dating shitty guys (#bars)
So of course, college came around right, and thankfully i knew myself well enough at this point to know that my relationship with women was completely different from my relationship with men. How we interacted, how they made me feel, etc. i moved out at 17, had my own apartment, all that jazz. I had a serious boyfriend but we did do the “open relationship” thing for a bit and lo and behold, available women were everywhere. And we’d chat, flirt, and i knew the physical attraction was there (and, you know, i’m not going to get graphic or anything but confirmed i enjoyed that aspect as well) but not rly much else. So again, never put much thought into it, i was open to being with women romantically but it just never came up and finding straight guys to date after that boyfriend and i broke up was just easier. At this point, i took a “cross that bridge when i get to it” when it came to “officially” being out; it seemed pointless to make this huge deal when i was still just dating dudes, or not dating anyone at all. Not too long thereafter though, one of my close friends (i only have a couple) called me freaking out, it was adorable, lmao. So this girl confessed her love to her and she was confused about what she should do lmao (my gaydar went off THE SECOND I first met my friend and i mentioned it in passing but she always brushed it off). The whole “do what feels right” line is tired but that was the only advice i can give her really. Putting a little more thought into the situation this time and wishing i had someone i could call when i was freaking out over a girl i told her like “you know, there’s nothing wrong if you’re gay. I’m gay, i turned out just fine.” long story short, if you ask her she will always credit me for helping her come to terms with that, but she was also the first person outside of a boyfriend that i said that out loud to and.. It was nice. We kinda helped each other through that and it was nice to have that one gay friend finally lmao. But let’s just fast forward to maybe a year after that, i’d talk to girls here and there nothing serious, when the same crazy girl that liked my friend wants to talk to me (i told y’all the lesbian/local community dumb small) my friend didn’t care and i wasn’t trying to date her seriously, i was in town for the holidays and figured it’d be fun, whatever. So i was going to LIC w A HUGEEE group of my friends. Like. a significant amount, that i had only seen a couple times since high school, and that i obviously did not share my personal business with. This girl knew i wasn’t out, i told her not to be acting crazy either smh. So i knew the girl in passing but not like officially and we did most of our talking online/texting (bc thats how lesbians meet lmao). Keeping that in mind, this is the first time i’m actually meeting this girl not irl but def f2f y’know.. And this is the third time that i’m saying she’s crazy. We find a place to meet at LIC between sets and i told my friends i was waiting for another friend of mine thinking that would be the end of that. Now the whole “lesbians are crazy and move way too fast” trope was a thing w this one bc as soon as she spotted me she ran to me and just kissed me, i swear it was straight out of The Notebook, bro and i turned around and my group of MAYBE 10 friends that caught that were literally staring, wide-eyed, jaws dropped. And i just brushed it off and said k, i’m ready to go, and the questions from there on after just would not stopppppp. It was partially embarrassing bc i am not a spotlight ass bitch whatsoever, but most people that saw us together strangers and whatnot thought we were a “cute couple” and we were complimented most of the night. But every time she’d hug me or kiss me or anything, my friends would be ready behind her back in group of three trying to mouth over me like “girlfriend???? Dating?????” and no she wasn’t my girlfriend but the way she was all over me i had to claim her as such at that point to make my life easier lmao. And i can laugh it off now because no, it rly wasn’t that big a deal to me then but it does kind of suck that it ended up not being my own choice y’know. I had fun with her, the night ended well, she left w me and slept over (nothing happened [that time] but it was still nice nonetheless lol). New years eve was the next couple days and we made plans together and again, we weren’t official or like REALLY talking and it was a (different) group of us going to this house party. I didn’t think she’d do the same thing like, bro without asking or anything, imagine if i was a person that did seriously mind?? Anyway, she got drunk and was the life of the party, she has quite the presence, and by the time it was midnight she straddling my lap making out with me and thats how i came out to everyone else i knew and whoever wasn’t at any of those two events sure did receive texts and pics of my date and i. It was embarrassing initially cause this girl!! Why the fuck did she do that!! Lmao, explaining myself to my closest friends was odd bc they were offended i didn’t tell them sooner and i’m just like.. It never came up at all you know. With that said, i have waited to see if i would ever seriously date a woman bc i knew i wanted to but the opportunity never presented itself until recently, and that’s why ya’ll see me out here screaming on rooftops about how gay i am bc i finally get to do that, on my own terms, and bc i love someone soooo so so dearly.
