The Ink Demonth 2023 - Day 6. Machine
Tumblr media
Day 6. Machine Crossover: Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? (and later series) "Scooby-Dooby-Doo, where are you? We got some work to do now. Scooby-Dooby-Doo, where are you? We need some help from you now." I cannot wait for the scene when they take Sammy's mask off :3 I'd watch an episode like that. Btw. in case anyone is wondering, Shaggy checks whether bacon soups are 20 or 50 years after expired, because it depends on whether he decides to heat them before eating or not :D
Am I a fan of Scooby-Doo? Well... yes and no. As a little kid, I loved the show, I even had VHS tapes of the episodes... But then my lil brother got hooked on it and watched it so obsessively that I hated the whole show (especially since his favourite was that damn Scrapy-Doo, so he was tormenting me episodes with him, and Scooby-Doom, the other son of the b*ch, which I hate). However, I still enjoyed the full-length movies, and to this day I still enjoy watching some of them (for example: "Scooby-Doo! and the Reluctant Werewolf" or "Scooby-Doo! in Where's My Mummy?..." by the way, the former was made in the year of my birth, so he's older than me, yay!) But then came the era of weird Scooby-Doo series that delighted me again and stole my heart, like "Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get a Clue!", "Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated" or crazy one  "Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!" (I love self-ironical, self-parodying shows). So... yeah, I guess I'm a Scooby Doo fan now. What's more, I will now say something that will probably make some people hate me: I like the "scandalous" show "Velma". Uuuu! Everyone will stop following me now, what a drama.
I have to admit that I had fun - although it was probably one of the most difficult Ink Demonths so far (counting the future ones I've already drawn). Scooby-Doo is damn hard to draw, because he has very caricatured features while having quite a dog's build, and when broken down into simple shapes, he's... just plain ugly to draw. Shaggy was a bit of a challenge, but it was a real pleasure to draw Velma. By the way, these two are my favourite characters - and I ship them in their youth (in their mature life, I prefer Shaggy with that cool alien from one of the movies). I used, of course, the background from BATIM - and choosing the right one and then framing it the best took me a lot of time and frustration too. I originally wanted a setting from the first chapter, but nothing looked right with the characters on it. I finally made it to the second chapter - and I think it turned out really nice. However, I am extremely proud of how cans turned out, the expiration date of which is checked by Shaggy.
If anyone doesn't understand why this entry is for "machine" theme, let me remind you that the Gang drove a cool, colourful van called... that's right! The Mystery Machine! If you didn't know that, you can't consider yourself a Scooby-Doo fan :D

Ooc: god damnit how did my funny "talk to all my hundreds of OC's blog" end up with:
Furries overthrowing a mafia as it's starting, also bringing a joke character into the spotlight, and showing people characters I have long forgotten. For some reason. EDIT: AND NOW THERE IS GAY PANIC FOR SOME REASON. GOD DAMNIT WHY DO I MAKE MY GAY CHARACTERS SUCH PUSHOVERS (@ignisuada )
Local engineer goes from dying forever in turbo hell to saving a bunch of civilians by fixing shit he was fixing back in turbo hell. (@station-3-drama )
And mx *literally fucking everything under the sun* (@f4y3w00d5 ) flirts with EVERYONE and also tries to convince the council to help them save their boyfriend. Edit: and apparently goes missing immediately after.
Hopefully that had nothing to do with us
Oh and on the topic of romance kinda, the creepypasta parody and the fucking zombie vampire slayer are dating some of @the-jester-doc 's ocs.
Usually they are tagged hyaline.exe or ghosthunter if you give a shit. They each have Spotify playlists too because my brain is weird and gay and cringe 👍
Unhinged ramblings under cut.
I mean it's fun but not what I was expecting it was supposed to be mini comics and shit.
I still want to do mini comics. Just don't have time. Yet.
Hell I'm working on one currently and it took me half an hour to make something that looks decent. AND ITS ONLY ONE PANEL. FUCK YOU CLONE 007, WHY MUST YOU BE SO DETAILED
AND WHY DID I GIVE YOU FOOTWRAPS? I GIVE EVERYONE BOOTS FOR A REASON. THEY ARE EASY TO FUCKIN DRAW!

Steve Theory - an analysis on a peculiar love letter
Another odd theory from me! This one is based on the recent newsletter.
See, for a while, the top leading theories for chapter 3's superboss was either a character inspired by Toy Story's woody or Sonic the hedgehog. Those are pretty decent theories, but I think this newsletter has a new smoking gun that blows both of those out of the water.
I think that people were on the right track of the third superboss being based off a childhood character, but it isn't woody or sonic, it's Steve from Blue's Clues (and a bit of other similar hosts).
For this theory, I will be calling the character Mike, you will see why soon.
Let's analyze Mike's letter shall we? Bit by bit.
But hey, first off, isn't it a bit odd that this reveal is in the form of a Valentine's letter? Yes, that was the most recent holiday, but previous holidays that the newsletter aligned with weren't this overt. Why present this info via love letter?
Well, this is, I believe the first clue (blue's clue if you will). What segment is Blue's Clues (and other childhood shows like it) known for? A mail time segment.
youtube
Mike may have been a tv character, but he knew that the screen wasn't the only way for fans to reach him. Mail Time was an important segment in his show, and right now he needs mail time the most. But why? Well, let's follow Mike's letter and find out.
Tumblr media
The first clue is the distinction of the spelling of Delta Rune, with a space. I believe Mike is aware of the importance of the prophecy in the deltarune universe as well as the real world player's wait to fulfill this prophecy. If Mike truly was a Steve-like character, it would explain how he knows both, as the interactive aspect of his show would make Mike forcibly aware of a greater world outside of his show while still having to abide to the rules and storylines of that show.
Another note is how Mike isn't sure if it's the Old Year or New Year, which could reflect both how Feburary isn't close to being a "new year" anymore but also Mike's show being in reruns, where the passage of time is artificial and determined by what networks choose to broadcast.
Tumblr media
Here is the most interesting tie to theory, Mike doesn't know what Valentine's Day is. This is odd because Valentine's Day is a common holiday, but in a children's show often times names of holidays will be changed in order for people of many religions to appreciate the episode. Something infamously parodied in Clone High.
youtube
So Mike wouldn't know Valentine's Day, he'd know it by another name.
Below his thoughts on Valentine's Day, he asks the viewer a question in a similar manner that Steve (or similar hosts) would.
youtube
Tumblr media
Much like Steve at the beginning of an episode, Mike asks the viewer of the letter for help to find his forgotten friend. In fact, subtracted the odd feel of the letter, one can easily imagine a children's show where the main character is trying to find someone he forgot about in a lighthearted tone.
Tumblr media
The top is interesting because the real-life viewer of this letter wouldn't respond out loud (unless you did, which uh, good ig?). But you know who would? The children voice overs used in these interactive shows. They are still there with Mike, even after his show (presumably) ended.
Tumblr media
This seems like a silly joke a preschool host would make, poking fun at daily self care lessons for children. But it also reminds me of another children's host before Steve, the king of children's hosts, Mr. Rodgers.
youtube
Putting on the coat could be a reference to how Mr. Rodgers began his show by putting on his sweater, Mike is beginning his adventure with the viewers/players by having them put on their coats with him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You may have noticed me skipping the text at the top of the letter, this is because I wanted to group these two notes together. I think the letter being "illegible" and Mike misspelling goodbye goes together. I think these are both hints of Mike not being a grown adult, but rather a young child who can barely write and spell writing this letter. It's similar to the writing seen in Disney's Winnie the Pooh movies.
Tumblr media
This would make Mike fit right in with modern preschool hosts such as Dora, Bluey, and the kids from Cocomelon. A younger character ensures that younger viewers will be more engaged with the show and its various lessons.
Tumblr media
The final note of this letter takes on a different meaning when you view it under the lens of a preschool show. Once an object, like a letter, is no longer needed to be around, writers will simply just have the object go away then stay on screen.
So now the larger theory, this is a bit of a stretch mind you, but these are all of the pointers I think of.
So wait, you're saying this is Mike?
Yes, I do believe this is the same Mike Spamton thinks so fondly about.
Tumblr media
There's two reasons why I think this is the case. The first is his name, all the bosses and superbosses so far have had outlandish names: Jevil, Spamton, Lancer, King, and Queen. Mike sticks out like a sore thumb. Unless he was a character that was created for the sole point of being relatable to the audience, and thus shares a normal name that most people have to enforce that.
The second is this quote
Tumblr media
This quote becomes scary if attribute it to this theoretical version of Mike. Think about it, you meet a kind man or child who hosts a preschool show, he's kind, warm, trusting. Wouldn't hurt a fly. But then he suddenly backstabs you.
So how did Mike and Spamton know each other? I think Mike (or the producers of Mike's show) gave Spamton the greatest publicity any salesman could, he made Spamton his show's sponsor.
youtube
Once Spamton stopped earning profits, Mike (or his producers) dropped him as a sponsor, leaving Spamton blindsided as a result. Maybe Mike didn't intend to hurt Spamton's feelings, but it was too late by then and Spamton hasn't reached out since.
The Missing Friend
So does that make Spamton Mike's missing friend? I don't think so. I think Mike's missing friend is actually his equivalent to Blue from Blue's Clues or Boots from Dora. A friend he's never without in universe, until one day, they suddenly disappear without a trace. Maybe the loss of Mike's friend parallels that of Noelle losing Dess or Kris missing Asriel from College. Both being events that force both of these characters to grow up and move on in life even if they don't want to. Unlike these two however, Mike will do anything to find this friend, and with some advice from a certain someone, Mike knows what exactly to do.
Take the player's SOUL.
Mike's lack of control
Mike's lack of control is pretty simple yet terrifying. Mike is not only controlled by the in-universe response of yelling children like Steve, but he's also controlled by the whims of the network, forever being taken on and off air, repeated, and more throughout time. I personally believe Mike's show has been long cancelled ever since the sudden disappearance of his friend, yet he's forced to relive moments through reruns. Thus losing track of time itself. This is the secondary reason why Mike wants the player's soul besides a promise to find his lost friend, all he wants is a normal life again, where he doesn't have to relive moments and just hang out with his cartoony friends.
Even if you don't believe in this theory (it is all an admitted stretch based off of one letter), I hope this provided an interesting and entertaining read!

Miraculous Ladybug - my thoughts.
Hello!
It's been a while, I know. But I come back to rant yet again! I'm sorry for any mistakes in advance - its 2am and the thoughts won't let me sleep so I have to get them out there somewhere. If you don't want to waste your time - skip it. If you actually want to read it, I'll have a cookie waiting for you at the end of this. :3
Tumblr media
My journey with MLB.
Miraculous was that one show that I got to know about through a parody of it on polish yt channel called Surreactor. I didn't know what it was about but it looked interesting and that was a point in time when season 3 was just starting to come out. Sooo, as the curious child I was - I gave it a go. And it captured me very easily.
At first all I wanted is for Adrien and Mari to finally get together. I never had big thoughts about it. Then I got bored between new episodes and just... forgot about it.
After some time however I came back to it. It was somewhere around 4th season airing. I returned to it, watched it all over again and it captured me yet again. I completely fell in love with Adrien as character and started to read loads of fanfiction about the two main heroes. I got invested, started to draw the characters in different settings and what not. I started even posting here on tumblr the rants that blew out about Adrien and about Black Cat holders as a whole just because I was frustrated on how little love he got or that I couldn't find any theories that would make sense.
I made new friend, started to plan stories more than I did before, returned to RP with my old friend through messenger and more.
It was a blow of creativity of mine at that time. You maybe you know of "Sky Is The Limit"? That was the point for me where I had so many ideas that I had to do something with at least one of them. Talking about an overload, right?
Season 4 finale - the best finale in this show in my honest opinion. Though I am based so who cares.
The point is - I deeply fell in love with this fandom for the most part.
And then... season 5 happened.
At first I was hooked. Really. I felt that it was going in the right direction and I even wanted to watch it later so I could see it in order.
Oh boy, did I get disappointed. Very disappointed.
I was never a Senti-Adrien fan, let's be real. But the execution? Even worse.
The finale? The fight yea, fun. But why cut out Adrien out of it???
Chloe as mayor? ARE YOU FOR FUCKING REAL? It's losing braincells more and more.
And I know the plot armor was always evident in this show and all.... but i feel like it was knocked up 10 times or more in season 5 to the point it could beat Game of Thrones seasons 7 and 8. (Yeah, I know what should compare two shows where one is fenomenal and the other has always been trash, but you can't argue with me that seasons 7 and 8 weren't rushed and had very poor execution)
To say that I was angry is an understatement. I HATED season 5 with every fiber of my existence. I still do, but I'm far more calm about it than I was originally. Believe it or not.
Tumblr media
I saw all the drama in the fandom. When people complained about the show and other people came in to defend it. And I have to say - I can see where both sides are coming from.
To the people who enjoy it, all of it - I'm glad you do! I really am!
However.
I can clearly see where the hate is coming from and anytime I saw a valid critique I couldn't help but agree with it. There were some awesome responses to that critique even from people who do enjoy the show still, but there were always people who I'll call "white knights".
Aka people who will ride-or-die for the show and always say there is nothing wrong with it!
Oh how I hate this way of thinking....
Little message to those white knights - yes there are pure haters that hate just to hate, but in the spectrum of people who are critiquing the show are also people who loved it and got disappointed. When people are angry/dissapointed they usually feel the need to express themselves and forums like Reddit, Tumblr, Twitter, are just perfect for ranting. I have spent fair share in the horse gaming community to know that every flop will have a retaliation and shutting up people will make them only more angry. :|
Tumblr media
I stopped liking the show. Why am I coming back to it?
That's a question that started to bother me just as I was going to sleep.
I have watched Hazbin Hotel (Lucifer my beloved) and fell deeply in love with it. I always liked Vivzie's Hellaverse being it Helluva Boss and now Hazbin, but there is something that just came back to me.
I started yet again imagining Adrien and Marinette but in the helllaverse. Or what if I merged hellaverse and Miraculous together in some way. Or other crazy ideas that will never see the light of day.
It's always those two characters for the most part. But the moment those two show up, the rest of Miraculous cast does too.
I fell put of the show. I don't like it. Why do I keep coming back?
My thought is - the fandom and the work it did for the characters.
I have always loved to read fanfiction even it came to miraculous. And it's always SO MANY! With many different variants of the world or entirely different settings. Ofc there are some bad fics, but the good ones are those that captured my heart and made me love the characters even more.
Let's put in some examples (and recommendations if you want to check them out):
Happiness by Somewhere_Out_Here
Once a Thief, always a Thief by @saijspellhart
Bakery Enemies by @buggachat
Heaven in hiding by @livinglittlelie
I'll guess your heart, if you guess mine by PurpleHeartsOne
Chat Blanc's Moon Waltz by @rileyclaw
The comic dubs by PhantomSavage
The little comics like "Passionate Kiss" by @edendaphne
All of these are just very few examples from multitude of content I devoured when I was in the love stage for MLB. And those things are STILL SO GOOD. (You have to check it out if you haven't already)
The point is - the fandom fell in love with the concept and if not that, then the characters. Yes, they aren't perfect. Some would say they are very much Mary Sue-ish. Some would say they are badly written. While the fact is - the characters themselves aren't badly written, the plot is just badly handled.
I can see why people love Marinette, she is quirky, funny and her ideas, while absurd most of the time, they work. And that's fine! She is supposed to be creative and what not. A great friend to have in corner, that for sure :3
Adrien on the other hand is supposed to be a bundle of issues that come with living a sheltered life and the want to be free.
(The movie handled Marinette much better than the show, let's be real here)
Sad fact - the writers of the show couldn't handle all of the potential they set up. But the fandom could and that's what's beautiful in my opinion.
The show may not be a masterpiece but they made some aspects of it so enjoyable and investing (love-square) that other people decided to execute those good things in their own stories and create something else.
The characters are just so easy to put into other stories too. Because they are written in the way they are (even if poorly handled at times) the aspects of them are very flexible, which in turn makes them easy to incorporate into other AUs.
For me it proves that you don't need a very complicated and deep character to make your story memorable. Even tho that certainly helps depending on your story. Miraculous was really lucky it got that creative fandom in the first place.
And this is what is beautiful.
Tumblr media
Ending, some plans of mine that who knows if they will see the light of day. :]
This is only for those who are interested what I have been up to and what do i plan with this blog:
I am not quitting tumblr, oh no. I'll be probably reposting some stuff that I like from time to time.
I am returning to write "Sky Is The Limit", however I am completely rewriting it for the.... 7th time? Something like that. I doubt I'll finish it anytime soon at this rate and if I get the need to draw I might draw few characters from there or designs I have planned.
I have a very big project in mind that I might probably make a new blog for. It's still just an idea but I getting closer to actually being made so stay tuned.
I will start posting stuff from Hazbin Hotel. I fell deeply in love with Lucifer's character and you can't unglue me from that duck man!!
Other than that I went to university and I'm enjoying my time here so yeah.
And here is your cookie for reading all that! You're a legend!

PROPAGANDA
KATARA (AVATAR THE LAST AIRBENDER)
1.) Katara was always shoved aside by both the narrative and the protagonist of AtLA. Despite her powerful arc, the creators always treated her as just the girl who the guy gets as a prize for saving the world. Her friends always relied on her for everything, from emotional support (that she felt she had to give) to menial tasks like cooking and cleaning and sewing (that no-one helped her out with). Her canonical boyfriend forced a kiss on her TWICE, and this was never really brought up or discussed (when she tried to discuss the first one, he forced the second one on her). She never got apologised to, and was constantly undervalued, treated badly, and her emotions were sidelined (she basically got told she was overreacting for wanting to pursue justice for her mother's murder). So yes, I do in fact think that Katara was a victim of misogyny. Also she wasn't allowed to learn to fight because she was a girl, even though she NEEDED to, and this only changed when the teacher found out that she was his old girlfriend's granddaughter.
None of this even touches on the sh*t that she was forced through in the sequel series. Good grief, I'm not even going to get started on that.
2.) Despite being the younger of two siblings, after her mom died she was forced to assume the role of caretaker in her family despite being a whole LITERAL CHILD to the point that her older brother IN CANON can only picture her face when he thinks of their MOTHER. She was always seen doing chores in the background that no other character ever helped her with because of her place as the "team mom" despite being LITERALLY fourteen. Not to mention how the sequel series ripped all of her personality and accomplishments from her to have her stay home w the children and let her husband neglect them in ways she NEVER would have actually stood for in the og series. Where all the other characters have statues and cities and laws and bending skills named after them they make her sit and twiddle her thumbs so that she can be the avatar's perfect uncomplaining wife and silently fade into the background
3.) so some things I wanna say here might actually be controversial, because I feel like the fans actually bought into/accepted the stuff I'm talking about uncritically. or maybe it's not that deep. but anyway
katara initially can be pretty sensible - her and sokka both. they're the kids of the chief, and neither of their parents are around, so it's obvious they both feel a lot of responsibility.
but still, early on, she's rebellious, she seeks fun and adventure, she cracks jokes. she goes penguin sledding with aang, who reminds her that she is in fact a kid. she steals from pirates then jokes about it when sokka scolds her.
as the show goes on, she gets more stern, straightlaced, "motherly", and has less of a sense of humour. she's still a badass but there are jokes about how she isn't fun or funny, or how she's a stick in the mud, to the point where I feel like the audience seems to have actually bought into it too. then the ember island players episode makes out like she's super preachy and cries a lot - yes obviously I know that this is a joke episode, but the show clearly is trying to parody itself with a basis on characters actual qualities, otherwise why would they bother? and the other characters act like they secretly think it's accurate too. since WHEN?
then sokka who starts out taking charge and resisting kataras schemes, becomes the light-hearted, fun, funny one. like yes he was always sarcastic and wisecracking, but at some point it feels like the show decided that they needed to have a sokka funny, katara unfunny dichotomy. even tho sokka isn't fuckin funny, everyone groans at his jokes.
if katara doesnt make jokes like the show seems to imply, then that means what she does when she's sarcastic or whatever isn't a joke, it's something else. like idk, bitchiness, I guess.
EVE (PARADISE LOST)
1.) I recognise how insane this submission is because this was written in 1667 and so attitudes towards women were obviously very different. But misogyny has always existed, no matter the time period, and so I think it's fair to pick up on it. Although Milton somewhat avoids painting Eve as the wicked seductress, she is nevertheless presented as inherently inferior to Adam - her 'virtue' and 'passion' are supposed to be an equal counterpart to Adam's intellect but Milton's clear resentment of Eve shines through. She is vain from the beginning - enamoured with her own reflection until she meets Adam. She is Adam's subordinate and readily accepts her place in the hierarchy below him, until she meets Satan. Women seeking power and knowledge is therefore inextricably tied to the fall of mankind. Her attempt for some kind of independence away from Adam (going to tend the garden away from him) is also presented as the primary reason she succumbed to Satan because Adam is needed to protect her. Eve (the mother of all women) therefore creates the assumption that women are weak and easily misled away from men. The description of her eating the apple is very sexual - perhaps reflecting the anxieties of men at the time of being cuckolded and therefore dishonoured by their wives. She is the ultimate disobedient, dangerous wife. Her reason for sharing the forbidden knowledge with Adam, rather than keeping it for herself, is because she is worried she will face the wrath of God and be replaced with another Eve. So it is her jealousy that brings them both down. (It is all a lot more complicated than this so Eng lit people don't kill me) but yeah poor Eve.

My thoughts on the PuzzleVision Movie (SPOILERS):
Tumblr media
I’m kinda glad I waited a bit to get my thoughts on the Puzzlevision movie out there, as I got to let my thoughts sit a little, but I still think my current thoughts are mostly the same as my original thoughts:
The movie was neat. There was a lot of things I liked about it, like all the parodies, animation, and ESPECIALLY the villain song. But… I honestly think it’s kinda underwhelming for the finale of this storyline they started in early 2023. I guess I had big expectations since this confrontation with Mr. Puzzles was built up for 2 whole movies and a WOTFI. I Still think there are a lot of good qualities to it. But, unfortunately, I got a lot more to say about the negatives than the positives.
I was initially underwhelmed by Mr. Puzzle’s backstory, considering how long he’s been built up as a villain. At first the backstory of Puzzles being “He was a lonely kid who became a TV addict and eventually replaced his head with a TV” came of as sort of bland, cliche villain backstory that the writers came up with on the fly. Again, I feel like I felt that way because of what came before it. Stuff like the Eldritch Goo from IGBP, the Grand Door being opened shortly before the lead up to that movie, Puzzlevision originally owning the show grounds, and all of Puzzles’ powers made me think that there was going to be a bit more to his story. Like, how does just replacing his head with TV give him all the powers he has?? Now I think the backstory’s more alright though. The part with “Oh he was lonely and had no friends :(“ still comes off as super cliche to me, and the powers still don’t make sense, but the part about him replacing his face with a TV sort of drives home how unhinged he is under that smile. I have similar thoughts on his final goal, which to me basically came off as “oooh he wants to brainwash everyone and take over the world”. But at least the backstory wasn’t as confusing or convoluted as Niles’ backstory from Revelations.
One other thing I also didn’t like, and still don’t, was how Tari was presented. In Western Spaghetti she was built up to be a much braver person who was more ready to take down whoever messes with her friends. But in this movie she feels like a complete coward again, cowering in fear at the thought of Mr. Puzzles going to get them, and begging Meggy not to go through a scary obstacle course. Like, what was the whole point of going through that arc if she was gonna be super scared the next time a big villain shows up??? I feel like they just threw that character development that I loved so much away. Also, why would they introduce Clench right before the Puzzlevision takeover if he wasn’t going to play any role in it?????
I do like how everyone came together throughout the movie to escape Puzzles’ network though. Smg4 and 3 told Mario where to find them, Meggy and Tari found out how to escape the network, and Boopkins and Bob broke everyone out of their channels. I thought that part was pretty neat, and felt like a bunch of puzzle pieces falling into place (no pun intended). It’s also always nice seeing mario help out in some way, even though I wish his motives were more “I gotta save my friends” than “I wanna find the TV because I wanna watch TV”.
This is a next thing is more of a nitpick than anything. I love the animation change for the South Park section. But even though there’s a VA credited with the South Park characters in the credits, Cartman’s voice sounds a lot like an AI voice to me for some reason. They probably did use an actual voice actor for Cartman and the way they pitch shifted it made it sound weird, but if they actually used AI for Cartman, I don’t find that cool.
One last thing. I don’t even feel like this movie has much of an impact on SMG4 like IGBP. Like the only thing that changes is that Puzzles’ is dealt with, and he may or may not be dead; and he didn’t even have much of an effect on the normal episodes before if any. Other than that, no one really goes through any arc or gains any development. If anything, Tari lost development from Western spaghetti. It doesn’t really feel like anything changed, which is kinda weird considering the gang just defeated the main antagonist who’s been messing with them for a year. There wasn’t even a reveal on what’s behind that boarded up door or anything added to the show grounds.
Other than that, the movie was still neat. Just neat. That’s all I can really say. I know I’ve been kinda pessimistic here, but like I said, I had more to say one the negatives than positives. They just stick out more to me than most of the plot, which is really just the gang going through a bunch of parodies. Guess I set my expectations too high for this movie or something. Just remember these are all just my opinions and you can feel however you want about this movie.
Now, will I continue following SMG4 now that Mr. Puzzles is possibly gone for good? Honestly… I’m not sure. I’ve mainly been following SMG4 over the last year mainly because of Mr. Puzzles, and I’ve been planning to move away from it for ages. So depending on how the next few videos go, I may or may not stop following. I kinda like the idea of leaving SMG4 off where it’s kind of ambiguous if Mr. Puzzles is really dead or not. Even if I stop following SMG4, I’ll still make some make fan art every of it now and again. I just wish the possible final movie I watched was just more than just “neat”.

Which was your favorite character to create?
Ooo this is a hard one to answer. Because everyone is was fun to write for in their own ways. I think I'll just name my top three favorite in terms of creation (mind you these may not even be my favorite characters just the one that is fun to make stuff with)
1) Lilith- She was so fun to come up and write for. I love her feral personality mixed with her old english-y fancy way of speak. Lilith's introduction and backstory was also the real nail on the coffin (pun intended) for showing how villainous Dominion was for people. Her entire character and backstory, along with Luci's, is so SO important to the overall story and she was really fun to write dialogue for. Su Ling Chan(she/her) did an amazing job voicing her and bringing that chaotic energy to life.
2) Noel- Noel is just really fun to torture :) And I mean that in a good way! Sam and I made sure give him enough tragicness to his character to help support the narrative we made. I have a distaste for stories that have pointless tragedies because even if "bad things happen for no good reason" there is still a point to be made in that (seemingly) senselessness. Trauma has an effect on people. Grief is processed in many different ways. Those two things effect how Noel, and us to an extent, form relationships with people. Which is why Noel is the most difficult to romance. John(they/he) did such an amazing job voicing his highs and lows for the game, I had to mute myself several times when recording some of the emotional line because I was crying!!
3)Irene- This may be a curveball but I really still love Irene as a character. Her route is so different and telenovela in comparison to all the other routes. People are really missing out on skipping her because she leaves a bad first impression when meeting but she's genuinely such a fun and genuine character despite it. She also has the most implied sex scenes when played on male mode and is possible to score a threesome with her and Ramon regardless of gender. She's got girl boss white woman energy and Vyn Vox(he/they) parodied that exceptionally while still nailing Irene's emotional moments.
what say you @samrosemodblog?

Clover Rants Miraculously: Train(crash) on the Brain
Hi, I’m gonna complain about “Style Queen” (and “Queen Wasp”) Again! (Warning for S5 spoilers)
For all I see the traincrash complained about, I never see anyone actually talk about how messed up it and Chloe’s motive are in context with how it’s handled - because you have the show present to us/the audience that Chloe is obsessed with getting her mother’s love and approval. So much so that she copies her every mannerism and got upset that she was more interested in her daughter’s bully victim than the daughter herself as well as mocking her on live TV, and was willing to endanger an entire train full of civilians over it on the premise that she believed doing something “heroic” would make her mother reconsider her being “unexceptional”.
It, at both it’s base and deeper levels, is messed up and awful. That Chloe both decided on this course of action and that the effect her mother’s absence has had on her influenced this are equally horrible things. And instead of addressing that, instead on tackling that obsession, instead of talking about how messed up it is Chloe felt she needed to do this to get her mom’s attention (or that Audrey, for whom she did it for with said attention in mind, responded so dismissively at the whole fiasco), instead of talking about how this was the wrong way of handling whatever trauma Audrey’s abandonment had on her and she might need to reconsider how valuable that love is if it’s driving her to try and crash trains and having her needing to ask her mother why she doesn’t love her - the show just has Marinette encourage them to bond through their shared evil and treats it like the problem begins and ends with Audrey staying in France instead of everything else it just presented within these two episodes.
And I’d be more forgiving of it if MLB was one of those black-comedy parody superhero shows, but even they manage to handle those types of topics with a bit of tact. If the entire point of Audrey’s treatment of Chloe was meant for comedy, they would (and should) have just kept things limited to the whole “Audrey’s so detached from her family and such a raging narcissist she can’t even remember her own daughter’s name” instead of dedicating the entire following episode and later ones and several mini-moments in this and the prior season to how this treatment has had a negative impact on Chloe and is one of the main reasons she’s so awful to everyone before having it drive her to almost cause a citywide tragedy and give her a magical artifact because of it. The show runners spent so much time showing how Audrey’s been such a toxic influence on Chloe even in her absence and gave such an extreme case example via the attempted train crash of why it’s bad she doesn’t seem to recognize what a terrible person her mother is/her effect is on her, so having them act like Chloe just needed mommy dearest (and how Marinette needs to give up her dream to help achieve this when there are a million different canon ones for why she can’t go to New York and why another character could and should be involved in this arc instead) to spend time with her is just baffling? Especially when they then proceed to turn around and go “LOL JK! Chloe never had any depth actually, KA-PRANK!” at everyone in the season 3 finale for having dared to get invested in the storyline they introduced in the first place! And even then, it didn’t actually solve anything because Audrey’s still a neglectful POS afterwards and Chloe goes from schoolyard bully to cartoonish psychopath before the show then decides to use her mother as a “punishment” for her Also don’t even dare talk to me about Zoe - no she is not “proof” that Audrey isn’t an excuse for Chloe being a bad person because “she still turned out good despite Audrey doing the same to her” because 1)we have zero info on how Zoe was raised in New York. All we know about her backstory is that Audrey left too and that she got bullied for lying. We aren’t told what the Lee household is like or how they treated her or what sort of life she had lived before the liar reveal forced her to moved. For all I know, Mr.Lee donates yearly to the orphaned penguin fund and his wife (if he has one) reads to blind streetlamps. We can’t say she had the exact same backstory but turned out different when we don’t know what her backstory actually is. And 2)Audrey barely effects her backstory. Audrey isn’t the reason she moved. Audrey isn’t why she got bullied by her classmates. Audrey isn’t why she was mean to Marinette after meeting her again (Chloe was). Audrey has no involvement or connection to Zoe or her character outside of birthing her and validating Chloe’s claims that a Bourgeois must be “perfect”. I could literally make Zoe’s mom any other character in the series, and not only would “Solecrusher” still play out the same way as canon - it’d still run into the same issue as mentioned. Zoe isn’t good “in spite” of Audrey’s neglect, but because that just happened to be her default setting. I can at least say Audrey is, more or less, partially responsible for how Chloe turned out as a person and involved in her character arc because the show actually bothered to show this in series. Can’t say the same about Zoe though, because the writers didn’t try to give the two a connection outside of Audrey being her ovary-donor because they cared more about making sure everyone knew Zoe was anti-Chloe and better for it instead of proving the point the fandom claims she represents.
Like, if the show had Marinette (or maybe one of the other characters they had shoving her towards getting involved) say “Chloe, your mom’s a huge b-word and you absolutely should not be hanging around her anymore than you already are. It’s the entire reason I dropped the apprenticeship offer with her. Also, you should maybe think of investing in a therapist if she has you so twisted up that you decided crashing a train was the optimal solution to her disinterest in you.” and then have that advice rejected, it’d be fine - but instead they had Marinette say they should be bonding over how nasty both are and made it out to be like Chloe being exactly like Audrey was good and necessary, before then chiding anyone and everyone for still being attached to her afterwards because how dare! Don’t you know Chloe’s evil? So much so that she’s even more evilier than Hawkmoth! She’s just rotten to the core - always has been. What do you mean we had an entire arc showing she potentially could be a good person and it’s because her mother’s a bad influence? You’re imagining things. Chloe’s just evil because evil, nothing more nothing less!
(and it’s so frustrating they only had Marinette say this so they could justify keeping Chloe as an civilian antag when they could have just had Adrien, who would be justified in saying this seeing as how he has such an unhealthy view of family relationships thanks to Gabe, take her place and have the same result - or better yet, focus on Lila, whom they brought back in “Chameleon”, and have her take Chloe’s place as the civilian antag so we could better have the set up for her eventually becoming the new Butterfly holder!)
“It’s just a kid’s show. It doesn’t have to take the subject seriously. They just didn’t want to make Chloe a hero.” Alright then. Fair. If MLB just wants to be a silly kids show, it can be that - just don’t include the topic of Chloe and her mom then. If you want to be a dumb heeheehoho show about two kids with magical super powers who want to date, then don’t include heavy subjects like child neglect. Don’t make the child neglect part of the character backstory. Don’t make it be revealed the reason she bullies people. Don’t make it lead to a 2-season long arc about the character potentially joining the good guys, and then suddenly go “LMAO nope” after stringing along the audience the whole time! Don’t give depth and character focus to character you have no plans on actually utilizing it for, and then I can happily say to myself “it’s just a dumb kids show” and leave it at that!

My discworld review after the first 17 books
1. Rincewind Series
I think the writing got stronger over time as the narratives became more plot driven. I still like the mystery/nondirectional aspect of TCOM and TLF though. There was an unpredictability about it that would be challenging to replicate with a main character that isnt like Rincewind: i.e someone who pretty much wants to live in boring times. Sourcery still bothers me the most. Firstly because the Wizards didnt get true repercussions about the damage they did. Secondly, while Sourcery ended on strong note, the sequel Faust Eric betrayed everything we've learned about Rincewind and the Dungeon Dimensions. It cheapened the drama invested on Sourcery and I found that aspect annoying. Interesting Times tho, picks up Rincewind's characterization once again and puts it back on the track, except that it doesnt explain what happened to Rincewind's status as a demon-bound-to-a-mortal kind of creature. It was great to see Rincewind showing off his political skills though. It's a good nod to his character being more attached and connected to the wider world compared to his wizard colleagues.
2. Wizards subseries
It's great that they've been fleshed out over time and over so many books. I like that since they're in Ankh-Mopork, they'd eventually get involved in many of the events that happen there. I like that their politics and power struggles are contained to mostly their own and don't really bother with the rest of the world. It's a refreshing POV to be in. Most surprising were their involvement in Mort, Moving Pictures, Reaper Man, Lords and Ladies, Men at Arms and Soul Music. They help expand the worldbuilding better. I still dont like The Bursar's characterization being sacrificed to make Ridcully a bit more respectable tho.
3. Death
Why is it that every major Death story just revolve around the thesis of "what happens when death gets distracted from his job"? Like I know why of course, he's so damn efficient that without him doing the work, everything in time-space just falls apart and tries to correct itself. Anyhow. Pratchett's Death is still the best take on real world death for me. It has helped me go thru difficult times, over grief and over the celebration of life. Death being one of the heart of Discworld is what makes Discworld truly a gift. You'll probably have to pull teeth for me to finish Reaper Man tho.
4. City Watch / Night Watch / The Watch
I haven't gotten far in these subseries but I do know that whenever cops are involved their ought to be high stakes suspense/thriller/action and drama. It's where Pratchett can truly flex on his whoddunit writing style. I find a lot of the narratives pretty standard action-thriller wise. Samuel Vimes is still my favorite of the bunch. I just cant get behind the character of Carrot, unfortunately (stop chasing me with pitchforks)
5. Witches
I'm gonna be honest. I dread the Witches subseries the most not because they're bad but because they tend to be dragging. With the exception of Equal Rites, the coven trio of Esmeralda Weatherwax, Gytha Ogg and Magrat Garlick leads the reader to familiar fairytale paths only for it to get upturned at the end. There are always lessons in the ongoing battle of what it means to be good, to be evil and most of all to be human. That's what make them slow at first. Reader must endure that feeling of "yeah ive been here before" for quite a long while. The payoff is always interesting nd thought provoking though, which makes everything worth it. I still dont know what to feel about Esmeralda Weatherwax being the universe's ultimate trump card. (Kinda same like rincewind and they both hate it)
6. Industrial Revolution
My favorite of all the subseries. Not a lot of people like them and they always get skipped in most reading lists but I often find the stories as the most shocking and creative. I like how they expand on the worldbuilding. I like the blatant parody on how the real world works. I like it when new character, beliefs and industries are introduced. I always thought I'd prefer the other subseries more but here I am lol. Cant wait to read the others.
Anyhow these are my discworld thoughts afer reading the first 17 books. Up next is Maskerade (which is making me groan coz i just finished Witches Abroad, which was very cool in fact and Maskerade is still Witch-centric)
But you can always not read them in publication order, one might say. But i wont do that. I'm a masochist unfortunately.

The Ember Island Players Re-Watch
I feel like this episode gets a lot of hate & I totally get why but for the most part, it's just funny to me. I'm not entertained by overanalyzing this one too much, it's just a silly little meta parody. I like Zuko's reference to his mother taking him & Azula to see the players "butcher 'Love Amongst the Dragons'" when they were kids. I like to think of the three of them - Ursa, Zuko, & Azula, having fun tearing the performances apart & having a good time together being hyper-critical theatre nerds. And Zuko & Azula re-enacting the play together as kids <3 Zuko doesn't mention his father, but I wonder if Ozai ever went with them? I wonder if the Fire Family had some really good times like that before it all went bad....
I enjoy the throwbacks & parodies of past interactions, a lot of it makes me laugh. I especially enjoy Toph's utter delight with her own portrayal & savagery toward everyone else. Sokka helping out the actor who plays him & Suki using her warrior skills to get them backstage is also fun.
I have a love-hate relationship with the "did Jet just...die?" moment because it IS pretty funny & I now like to almost kill Jet in my fics but not quite & see if people will comment with that line. BUT - I mean, how many times can I really say "fuck the writers" for how fucking useless to the plot & narrative Jet's death was that the only mentions of Jet afterward are either in reference to the bad things he did (so why even have him show up again at all let alone die trying to help Team Avatar?) & a throwaway meta joke? I've surely said it enough by now, right? Wrong! I can never say it enough. Fuck them.
BUT.....Even though it's terribly written, I WILL take my Jetko crumbs where I can get them. Zuko sounded pretty sad by this realization & in the Good Canon that lives in my head, Jet's death did mean something to him we just didn't see more of his grief 'cause it was off-screen. No, I will not take criticism on this.
I'm sorry but I cracked up at Zuko's actor shoving Iroh's actor to the ground & saying "you smell! I hate you forever!" Again - this episode is kinda stupid but it makes me laugh a lot. I really genuinely enjoyed Zuko & Toph's talk about Iroh though. Toph can be surprisingly emotionally intelligent for how brash she is. I thought it was really cute that Toph was able to make Zuko feel better about himself & hopeful about a reconciliation with his uncle. I love their friendship.
Alright. Ugh. The Katara/Aang kiss....I literally have no idea why the writers would have a scene like this where Katara is so ambivalent about her feelings for Aang & definitely seems to still view him as a little brother (& I want to be clear I LIKE their friendship - I enjoy both characters - I just do NOT see the romantic chemistry, I see a one-sided crush 'cause that's what we were fucking shown lmao) SO close to the end & then.....still have it as endgame? The writing for this "romance" (if you can call it that) is a mess. I'm not interested in arguing about this. If you like the pairing, good for you, but we will never agree lol
Sorry for the rant.
Ahem. Anyway......
Wow, I really have just about nothing else to say about this episode. I mean, it's funny, but it's not exactly rich with scenes to analyze. I feel like this review is coming off more negatively than I intend it to because legit I do crack up every time I watch this episode. I think it's fun, there's just not much to say about it.
The foreshadowing of the final battles & the Fire Nation crowd cheering for the Avatar's downfall was interesting. I laughed when Zuko said "that was not a good play" at the end. That's all I have! No one earned any iconic behavior points in this episode.
OH wait. I'm petty as fuck. Zuko earns +100 for sitting between Katara & Aang. Good for him. Ok, & I guess Suki also gets +100 for getting her & Sokka backstage, that was neat.

李若彤 (Carman Lee) & 吕頌賢 (Jackie Lui) filming promotional material for Chinese mobile game, 《剑侠世界3》 (“World of Sword Heroes 3”).
Tumblr media
「李若彤 — 峨眉掌门」 “Carman Lee — Ermei Sect Leader”,「吕颂贤 — 武当剑客」 “Jackie Lui — Wudang Swordsman”.
Also chuckling at the sign that says, 「武林拍卖会」, which roughly translates to, “Martial Arts Clique Auction Meeting”.
I guess this whole promo is meant to be humorous! 😸
Tumblr media Tumblr media
「快来听下三位港星的原声吧」
“Come, let's listen to our 3 Hong Kong celebs' original voices!”
Narrator says this ↑ in Mandarin.
Okay…! If anyone has difficulty differentiating between Cantonese and Mandarin ever, well…sorry but this video will not help you…prepared to be stumped again! 🤪😹
Our 3 HK celebs here are speaking in either Cantonese, or Mandarin that's so heavily accented with Cantonese that it almost sounds like a new dialect!
Thank goodness for subtitles! Heh! 😸
****************************************
Video in a Nutshell: “Wudang Swordsman” (吕頌賢) making an opening speech on what the “Wulin” (武林) is all about.
Enter “Dubious Monk” (李國麟, apparently reprising his role, 鳩摩智 from 《天龍八部 97》 — “The Demi Gods and Semi Devils”) looking to cause trouble.
After some arguing between the 3 of them, obvious abrupt cut in video, and scene changes to “Ermei Sect Leader” (李若彤) contemplating which faction, Shaolin (少林) or Wudang (武當), she should join. 吕頌賢's for 武當,李國麟's for 少林.
****************************************
吕頌賢 starts off saying his lines in purely Cantonese. 李國麟 (Joseph Lee) takes over and retorts in very heavy Cantonese-accented Mandarin, 吕頌賢 then (felt obliged?) replies back in the same fashion…(吕頌賢's Mandarin is way better than 李國麟's though! 😺)
While 李若彤 decides to stick to Cantonese…for starters at least! But when bombarded with 吕頌賢 and 李國麟 yelling from both sides, she yells out 「停!」 (“Stop!”) in something that sounds like it's in-between Cantonese and Mandarin! 😸
Her subsequent lines are finished through a Mandarin dub (why I'm not sure — 李若彤's Mandarin is actually not too bad, better than 李國麟's definitely! 😸 — maybe because it's the closing lines of the video),
「我很想听懂你们在说什么可是臣妾做不到啊!」
“I really want to understand what you all are saying but I (this humble servant) can't!”
****************************************
This entire scenario is meant to be a joke/parody.
Occasionally, I'll get hit with a bout of nostalgia, and childhood favourite actors and/or characters from favourite '90s shows will cross my mind.
One thing led to another, checked out the 微博 (Weibo) a/c(s) of favourite people recently just to see what they were up to nowadays, and learned about this (project).
Not a mobile gamer (and Chinese mobile games are pretty much inaccessible for the rest of the world anyway), don't really care for what this game is about frankly speaking, but, nice to see Carman and Jackie in a project together! 😺
Carman and Jackie were at their most popular in the mid to late '90s with TVB (Hong Kong TV station) hits like 《神鵰俠侶 95》 (“The Condor Heroes 95” aka “The Return of the Condor Heroes”) for her, and 《笑傲江湖 96》 (“State of Divinity” aka “The Smiling Proud Wanderer”) for him.
Their goodwill earned from that time is apparently still working for them today! Capitalising (not criticising them, just stating as fact — celebs have to earn their keep too, I totally understand!) on the Nostalgia Train is still worth some moolah!
Those who are familiar with their '90s stuff will realise that this whole mobile game promotion is quite relying on the target audience reminiscing about '90s HK 武俠 (Wuxia) series to propel it forward; lots of references to these series in the promotional videos alone!

Sonic boom season 3 ep where omega uses his experience in law to defend shadow in court. (he was accused of killing fastidious beaver and no one really cares but still. Murder. He also is 100% guilty) Edgebot from the Brude episode is the prosecutor. Omega manages to pin the blame on sonic somehow and then fastidious beaver just. Walks into the court room. Turns out he just got knocked out instead of actually killed(which was the goal). No one knows how they managed an autopsy without actually harming him. The episode ends with T.W. barker asking Omega to defend him in court against charges of extortion. Omega gets paid for none of this btw.
HELP? i already wanted to come up with an episode that was a parody of ace attorney and you just fed me thank u. also you are so based for the multiple references to my other posts no one normal would say this but im so glad i turned on anon on tumblr dot com
anyway lemme add on to this:
its obvious from the get go to the audience that shadows guilty. not because hes a bad liar or anything he just doesnt care to pretend. what does he have to lose? his freedom??? the prison doesnt want him they know better than to attempt to detain him. his reputation??? right, because hes so clearly known for his innocent harmless and gentle demeanor with everyone. hell if he goes down as the one who killed fastidious beaver, people will finally take him seriously again after being forced into so many comedic scenarios for this blasted shows universe. the only thing stopping him from standing up and outright confirming that he did it is that hed never hear the end of it from omega whos high key excited for his debut as a lawyer
tw barker wanted to continue his lawyer career so he practically begged shadow to hire him but like... he does c/rypto on the side and shadows an anticapitalist king so he essentially told him to eff off
the "courtroom" is just meh burger reorganized so half of the tables represent the prosecutors desk and the other half the defenses. the restaurant counter is the judges chair. there may be an actual courthouse they can do this at but after that one time omega left the restaurant he got placed under house arrest or should it be called restaurant arrest? is meh burger technically his home or……… he cant leave or else a self destruct switch will activate is what im trying to say
(hi its me from the future <3 apparently anons idea resonated so hard with me that i got kinda carried away with my little additions and i dont wanna be obnoxious if i can help it so im putting this under a read more okay continue on. or not if you dont wanna hear about how literally the entire trial goes i guess)
knuckles is the judge which makes perfect logical sense
the detective is vector whos televising this entire trial while hes at it. he barely has anything to work with because a CERTAIN SOMEONE disposed of the body but from what he could piece together fastidious beaver was being annoying at meh burger so shadow grabbed him by the scruff, dragged him over the counter, and dunked his head into the deep fryer. as anon mentioned he somehow survives this
sticks conducted the autopsy and by that i mean she whacked fastidious beaver in the head with her boomerang a couple of times and when he didnt wake up from that she hurled him into the sea. once again this makes perfect logical sense its not like we have other characters much better equipped to be scientific about this. and he somehow survives this as well
edgebot looks exactly like omega except with more spikes. he wants revenge against shadow for besting him at Brude™️ which is why hes doing this. from this episode onward hes omegas main rival in the field of law and also theyre brothers since they were both created by eggman. M1KU is their sister. orbot and cubot are their eldest siblings. what a nice family
oh and instead of yelling "OBJECTION" each side just fires a projectile (ice cream for omega, knives for edgebot) at the other robot causing sogginess and scratch marks
all the other characters are the gallery and theyre sitting outside on the grass watching this all go down with varying degrees of attention. eggman in particular feels very conflicted because he wants to support edgebot but he doesnt want to make omega feel like the unfavorite and of course he doesnt want to root for shadows downfall either
witness 1 is dave who was standing right next to shadow when he was committing the deed and did absolutely nothing to stop him. omega gets him to recant by pelting him with ice cream nonstop and giving him hypothermia
witness 2 is amy who was at the front of the line to order when this went down and also saw everything but omega cracks her testimony by getting her to admit that shadows back was towards her at the time so she cant say for sure that was shadow. sure no one else around is a black hedgehog with red stripes but she cant prove it was him can she?
witness 3 whos infinite is mainly there to testify about shadows character and of course he starts talking so much trash about him and painting him in the worst light possible. "also those red things next to his eyes? theyre UGLY." "YOURE THE UGLY ONE YOU MASK WEARING FREAK!!!" shadow yells as he leaps from the defendants chair and tackles infinite to the floor because these two in the boomverse would be so catty you will not change my mind about this. a recess has to be called
rouge whos witness 4 is also there to establish character and shes one of the few who isnt intimidated by shadow so when asked questions about whether hes capable of doing this shes like "lol maybe idk can i go to my manipedi appointment now" (side note but shadows constantly at a loss for words when it comes to rouge precisely because of this. none of his threats ever affect her so if he cant scare her then What Else Can He Do)
eventually omega pushes everything onto sonic by saying he was disguised as shadow to frame him which is an accusation that comes out of left field because in case you werent paying attention sonic isnt involved in this incident/trial AT ALL. he was sitting in the gallery for the first half of the proceedings but grew bored so he left only to be forced to come back when hes accused. insert sa2 references here yada yada faker etc etc youre not even good enough to be my fake blah blah blah live and learn
shadow surprisingly is pretty against the direction this trial has gone because it actually really pisses him off when people imply that he and sonic look alike even when it directly benefits him but just when hes about to put his foot down and own up to the crime (omegas fun be DAMNED) fastidious beaver comes in "correcting" his grammar and everyone freaks out. especially him.
omegas disappointed that his first trial was ultimately a dud but then tw barker comes up to him and tells him hes in trouble for extortion and omega ALMOST accepts until he learns that the incident involved c/ryptocurrency

….I can’t believe it took you less than a day. Anyways, I know so little about this show, but do the citizens of Ooo have daemons, or some other form of dust? Given that they aren’t human and all. (reply by @snarky-wallflower)
a post so i have more space to write. and uh. yeah it is truly so funny. it isnt actually as quick as it seems (ive been turning it over since i finished adventure time like, a week ago?) but still. im a joke and a parody etc etc etc.
anyways! i actually think most people of ooo dont have daemons at all! so lets explain why.
when i write daemon aus, i tend to write dust as a sort of, particle that kind of Exists in the world. it is created by people but it was also there before people and wouldve helped spark the creation of people, in a like, 'oh having a way to interact w this particle is really useful to do x y z, lets evolve to use it!' obvi im not a scientist and the details vary but this is how i sort of tend to see it as a baseline!
so, from there, all species that are. sapient? pretty sure sapient is the word, they all interact and connect to dust in some way. this can be via visual cues (actually perceiving it and its patterns) but mostly its through some other way, like how humans have daemons.
so, in ooo, humans do still have daemons! its just. theyre the only ones.
as for everyone else, they are all, somehow, connected to dust! they all have to be, its just a lot of them dont have daemons because nuclear war, magic bullshit, etc etc. im not 100% on all the lore behind the show but i imagine that The World Fucking Up drastically changed the way sapient species interact with dust. i like the idea that all magic-users are able to use magic bc magic is just interacting directly with dust and getting it to do what you want, so their connection to dust is just, magic. and to get there you lose whatever previous connection you might've had.
most people probably have something else. i think you could get real creative with it. i dont have answers for most people <3 i think you could give species daemon LIKE things, but i'd make em sightly different. not sure. how yet. plants? can't change shape? various things to do with range? specific places? some sort of hivemind? theres a lot of ways you can take it and none of my ideas would focus on that bc thats too close to making a whole au and im like. nah. im focusing on some MINI!! ARCS!! with a limited cast of characters!
as for people i DO have answers for....
marceline had a daemon, being a vampire fucked with that for a while. post-stakes she gets her daemon back.
finn has a daemon and theyre doing totally fine lol.
fern probably had a "daemon" but it was less daemon more another plant construct that was more just him than two people split across two bodies. he finds this out and Doesnt Take It Well.
simon has a daemon. ice king doesnt. simon doesnt get his daemon back upon being de-ice kinged. this is very bad for his mental health.
ditto for betty when she becomes magic betty. golbetty is doing great. they're together in there. no idk what that looks like.
jake has Something. not a daemon. no idea what. but he for sure has a tangible thing. prooooobly same for lady but she also might get magic-user rules and can see dust but this is just chill for her vs most magic users who get there by losing something along the way.
bmo is a computer. i dont think he has a tangible daemon but i think he's got something.
bubblegum has the whole mother gum thing so i imagine thats sort of like, a static place she visits sometimes. or maybe something with neddy??? whatever it is she doesnt have anything that like, follows her around or is on her person.
the candy people since theyre made by pb basically just have a whole mess of things she thought were interesting to experiment with. so there are candy daemons.
i think flame princess has something closer to a daemon than not but they arent a daemon. i'd need to do more research into. fire.
fionna's daemon is cake <3 before the events of the miniseries they Do Not Know This so it manifests as fionna bringing her cat literally everywhere, cake being way too smart for a cat, and neither of them thinking this is weird in any other way. (everyone around them is very freaked out <3)
nobody else in the fionna and cake universe have daemons or anything like it.
fionna: wait are you telling me you dont share dreams with your cat?? don't telepathically communicate with your cat? everyone around her: what the fuck are you talking about--
and thats what ive got whoo! for basic ideas. more detailed plots are for the stakes mini-arc + fionna and cake since i think theres an interesting story there, but thats not for this post.

Doesn't take much to just roll with it, does it?

"So, who d'you want done?"

Something always catches up.

"We could've helped that child."
Bedevil dir. Tracey Moffatt (1993)
We need more surreal expressionism in set design. That alone lends a movie those spooky vibes.

"This one's gonna make you have to change your chonies."
Regular Show - "Terror Tales of the Park" I-VI (2011-2016)
I've never watched a regular episode of Regular Show, but I get the sense that the Halloween specials aren't all that out of the ordinary.

"Oh, you know kids. Still missin'."
The Simpsons - "Treehouse of Horror Presents: Not It" (2022)
Hm, sticking too close to the source material is a longtime problem with their parodies, and this one certainly suffers for it.

"C’mon, how powerful could a god from a dump like this be?"
Silent Hill 3 dev. Konami (2003)
The first half kind of drags before it finally gets to the titular setting, then it's surreal melty wall terror. That makes up for the slow start and cements it as another great entry. I'll be back for the next one in 2024.

"So, just be aware, the characters do tend to wander a bit."
Five Nights at Freddy's dev. Scott Cawthon (2014)
I always avoided this one because the jumpscare gameplay wasn't for me, but I figured I had to at least see the first one through to the end. I don't know that I can recommend it what with Cawthon's problematic nonsense, but it's an interesting product from an indie dev of the time.

While I love Mike Pollock I have seen some tweets of him suggesting that he just doesn't want to be known for his work as Eggman and wants to discuss his other works more, he also liked the tweets of Flynn saying the same thing, I feel bad cause I send him a compliment for Eggman, do you know some of his other works? would like to know his other characters
Yeah, he's been trying to emphasize that for a long time and I don't know why some people have a problem with that because of course he'd want people to check out his other work, instead of only acknowledging his Sonic-related stuff and acting like he's just Eggman no matter what he does and nothing more, overlooking tons of his other great work that's entirely separate from it and is absolutely worth checking out. It's great that you have an interest in doing so and I'm happy to help you get started. :D
I've looked at a ton of his stuff over the years but he has hundreds and hundreds so I still haven't seen them all but I try to check out everything that's available to me. I've heard him in a bunch of TV shows, video games, movies, audio dramas, commercials. I have a game where practically every elderly guy in the game has his voice, Just Cause 3 lol. I have a plush that's voiced by him too!
I first heard him in Sonic X, Viva Pinãta, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2003 show, and Pokemon around the same time because of 4Kids dubbing. My favorite singular other roles of his that I've heard have to be Langston Lickatoad, the Garbageman, and Adon Coborlwitz. Though he's got a ton of other great roles in a bunch of stuff that's also definitely worth checking out.
Here's what he commonly links on Twitter as a good way to see a lot of it:
That definitely doesn't have everything in it though. There's stuff that isn't supposed to be general public knowledge and other things that haven't been listed on here yet. But it's still one of the ideal places to look! I enjoy picking any character, looking into how to find and listen to it, and the joy of being like "there he is!" when I find his voice in there and get to hear more of his incredible talent hehe.
His pure audio stuff isn't on there, I found out about those through his Twitter and a number of them were available on Spotify and were linked throughout his Twitter.
You can listen to more of his audio with comedy bits, parodies, demos, and other fun stuff on his SoundCloud:
Looking around on his website is a good place for more information and links to more stuff:
He also has a big playlist on YouTube with more things he's been in that have been uploaded there, including commercials!:
Obviously, not all of them are here because he's done so many that haven't been uploaded and some of my favorites were made private by the brand uploaders and I'll always be sad that I can't hear it again lol. He also has some cool stuff in other playlists on his YouTube channel. I also recommend watching more interviews and panels with him uploaded on others' YouTube channels if you haven't because it's really interesting to hear him talk about his work and he's charismatic, funny, and entertaining. ^^
I also recommend putting on post notifications on his Twitter to keep up with him sharing some of his newest work when they're announced and released because they don't get listed on websites after. I have to save stuff to my Twitter bookmarks or else I can't find the information and content again!
And there you go! Have fun. 🌟✨💜

What if Warner Bros. owned Roger Rabbit and co.
Tumblr media
A “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” review video pointed out how though the movie was very popular when it was first released as it is today, Disney never did much with the franchise afterwards when it came to animation. Sure there were 3 shorts, a scrapped sequel, and a reference in Aladdin 3 (I’m not counting that Chip and Dale movie as everything was referenced in that) but I still think they gave up on it pretty quickly. That’s why it was a surprise when I realized that their rival Warner Bros. has done more stuff with the Who Framed Roger Rabbit franchise by parodying and referencing it in shows like Animaniacs, Tiny Toons, and even Superman: The Animated Series.
It does make sense as along with WB liking their bunny characters while Disney cartoons (especially back then) are more aimed at children and families, Warner Bros. cartoons like Looney Tunes are more aimed at everyone to enjoy to a point they are more mature in comparison. This got me thinking of what things would have been like if Warner Bros. had owned the rights to Roger Rabbit and co. the whole time and made the characters part of the Looney Tunes franchise.  Long text warning.
Roger would likely have had a Goofy like role as though not dumb, his habit of being clumsy and not paying attention can lead to trouble, like he will lose an important item by making it fall into a mail truck and would spend the who episode trying to retrieve it from the very dedicated mailman. I could picture him being a protégé of Bugs Bunny as from time to time the latter would teach Roger his ways of Looniness. Roger also could have been the bane of Bugs, as Roger would accidently cause Bugs pain, good for when there are moments when Bugs goes too far with something or when Bugs has to be the target of slapstick for the episode.
Roger’s inclusion could also have been a way to bring a twist to some of the franchises most popular stories. I could picture one where Roger gets involved in a rabbit season/duck season debate and while Daffy would still get shot, somehow Roger would get Bugs shot as well and similar to Daffy maybe Bug’s tail would fly off and do things like form a toupee or beard/mustache on Bugs, Elmer, or another animal. In another, similar episode I could see Roger having a gag where he constantly mentions his wife and in the end Jessica would arrive revealing she is the Park Ranger of the local area. She then clarifies that it’s neither rabbit or duck season as hunting season ended a week ago and Elmer is technically breaking the law, so she takes him away to be fined. Bugs and Daffy then bring up why Roger never mentioned his wife was the Park Ranger and he just simply says they never asked.
Another cartoon idea is that the rabbit community wants another rematch with the turtles. The turtles choose Cecil to represent them and while Bugs is confidant he would be the one to race, the others choose Roger given Bug’s past with Cecil. Roger states that though he will try his best, he’s going to have fun as he states winning isn’t everything. This of course makes the other rabbits nervous so they force Bugs to help Roger win the race no matter what or they will take out their anger about losing on him. Throughout the episode Bugs tries to aid Roger but his actions always lead to Roger falling behind and make Cecil mock Bugs which annoys the bunny. Bugs eventually gives up near the finish line but this causes Cecil to take a moment to mock Bugs which causes Roger to catch up and win the race surprising the two. Bugs then mocks Cecil for losing but sadly his fun is short lived as footage of the race makes it look like Bugs was trying to make Roger lose, causing an angry mob to form alongside another mob of turtles who are mad at Cecil for losing in a manner like in the fable. The episode ends with Cecil and Bugs teaming up to escape the mobs while Roger enjoys his win with Jessica.
Maybe Roger could have played the main role of a “Peter Rabbit” parody episode, as maybe he is challenged to get a rare vegetable or lost ball from a highly secured garden.
Jessica Rabbit could have been a nice addition as along with being another female character, it would have been interesting to have a human cartoon character play a role that isn’t as antagonist or always a side character. Sure she would still have been the eye candy but along with how that didn’t stop WB from doing that in other shows for many years, she would still be as clever as she was beautiful and use that cleverness to clearly stop the antagonist of the episode she is in
I could see her having episodes where a just as talented female character always gets jealous of Jessica being chosen for something (like up for a promotion or will be the opening act of someone) and the rival always tries to ruin Jessica’s gig but Jessica always seems to get out scott free unlike the rival. Ironically Jessica would always treat the rival like a friend the whole time and maybe in some cases gives the thing to the rival, getting a win from time to time. Obviously she and Roger would have many episodes together, like where they go on dates but some guys always try to flirt with Jessica so she uses her wits to make them go away in funny ways before Roger finds out. These kinds of episode would end the same way as Roger would always see one of these guys with Jessica and we discover that Jessica was doing these things to “protect them” as Roger would go all chivalrous and uses his toon powers to make the guy go flying away from them, which Jessica doesn’t like as she hates it when her sweet husband gets all tough though she is quick to forgive him since he always goes back to his normal self.
Just like with Roger interacting with other Looney Tunes characters, I like the idea of making her the owner of the cat character from the Pepe Le Pew cartoons, where she would use her wits to prevent Pepe from getting to her cat. I could see her doing things like give Pepe a heavy anvil to hold while he is climbing up a ladder or she just so happens to have a anti skunk collar for the cat to wear, making Pepe flee every time he got close to the cat. Course she isn’t always like this as I can picture one scenario where in an episode where she is a vet, she does a surgery that gets rid of Pepe’s stink which instantly makes all the female animals attracted to him. Another is that she pairs Pepe up with a raccoon that loves smelly things thus giving Pepe a happily ever after ending.
There could be an episode where Yosemite Sam, after realizing he is the only criminal to not tie a lady to some train tracks, decides to do it on Jessica but she keeps outsmarting him causing Sam to be the one to get hit by trains. The episode ends with Sam giving up but surprised that everyone is cheering for him, as apparently other criminals have tried the same thing with Jessica but they all ended up dying, so the fact that he survived makes him a legend.
Another possible episode is one where Jessica gets turned into an actual toon rabbit like Roger. We see her react and use the new form to handle a threat but the vast differences between species starts causing her to act abnormal (in this case sillier) as a side effect, so Roger has to try and change her back before it's too late.
The Toon Patrol, which I can see being renamed “The Weasel Gang” could have been an upgraded version of that cartoon crime duo of the small boss and the big, dumb henchman. They would be the troublemakers would commit crimes only to get stopped by another toon. I could picture a few episodes where Bugs messes with them such as after the gang steals all the carrots in the area so people would have to buy from them or when he discovers the weasels are going to dig a tunnel going through his house in order to rob a bank. They likely would have gone through the most changes, especially when it comes to some of the characters names and designs such as having Smartass just be called Smarty or Boss, Psycho would likely be given an outfit that matches his crazy personality like wearing a tutu with swim shorts and a Christmas sweater, and Wheezy would be replaced with someone else like a weasel with a sugar or screen addiction.
Baby Herman would have been made a man who looked like a baby. His main gag (which I think Looney Tunes did before) would be that he is a criminal or escaped convict that would disguise himself as a baby or in later episodes a boy in order to lose the cops. However while in the disguise he would suffer either cause the adults that adopted him were very stupid and irresponsible or he would get in trouble while trying to escape the school he is pretending to attend. Later on I could see him getting a redesign where he looks like an fully grown man but with a baby like head, picture that Babyface villain from Batman: The Brave and the Bold. His new gags would be that people try not to laugh at his appearance and that occasionally he will act like a baby such as crying when he gets caught by the police.
This also makes me wonder how their inclusion in Looney Tunes shows and movies would have changed them.
In Space Jam since Jessica would be in it, that version of Lola Bunny would likely have had a different personality which in turn could have been a better step in the right direction to giving us her Looney Tune Show version. That or maybe Jessica would have been a cheerleader that distracts everyone XD
In Looney Tunes: Back in Action, after it is pointed out that without Daffy, Bugs doesn’t have someone to argue with someone gets Roger to fill in the role which leads to Bugs being shot by Elmer in that alternate rabbit season skit I talked about earlier. Though this team up is well received it makes the company a bit less money than what they are used to, so the VP that fired Daffy goes out to get him with Bugs following. Jessica Rabbit could have been the toon partner of the spy at Yosemite Sam’s casino and helps Daffy and the others escape town.
For Animaniacs, maybe its implied that Hello Nurse is Jessica’s cousin or niece.
I could have seen the characters have a big impact in Tiny Toons as that show was full of references and shout outs to Who Framed Roger Rabbit. One would be that Roger would be the founder/principal of Looniversity, something that was actually joked about in one episode, but again fits with the idea of him being a protege of Bugs as I brought up before. Maybe the show could have had a character/characters that were the kids of Roger and Jessica. Tiny Toons did have an episode where Babs Bunny wishes there was a female cartoon role model she could look up to so maybe it leads her to meeting Jessica who then introduces Babs to the other female Looney Tunes characters like Granny and Witch Hazel, maybe even Dot from Animaniacs. Either way the episode would end with Babs going from zero role models to several role models and realizing that if she works hard enough could be a female cartoon character for future female toons to look up to.
Ignoring all the bad shows we get to The Looney Tunes show. Roger and Jessica could be new neighbors in Bugs and Daffy’s neighborhood. At this point I would see Roger and Jessica wearing normal clothes but more on that in a bit. Roger would be a rising comedian as he is known for using all kinds of props in his routine, some that even parodies some old Looney Tunes gags like a projector will show stars and birds in one of his skits when he gets hit by “heavy” objects or his show will end with a hollowed out prop shaped like a anvil falling on him. Jessica would be someone that works at city hall and would be a great way for the characters to find out what is going on in the city. When working I could see Jessica wearing a business suit but outside of it would wear something casual, and her iconic dress would be worn on date nights or special/fancy occasions.
One episode could have Bugs being jealous of everyone liking Roger’s jokes and after fearing that he could be the new funny guy tries to out funny him. Another could have Jessica being in charge of keeping an eye on Daffy and Lola after the latter are forced to help out at City Hall.  In one episode where the Rabbits celebrate their wedding anniversary not only does this make Daffy wonder what his wedding would be like (even going out to wear wedding dresses) but this gives Lola the idea of becoming a wedding planner and being surprisingly good at it.
You know with Warner Bros. being in a Looney Tunes making role lately what with making Looney Tunes shorts again and the Tiny Toons reboot, along with Disney losing a lot money recently, I bet WB could easily buy the rights to those characters and implement them in future works. Heck while watching the Tiny Toons reboot this week (spoilers) there was an episode where a green liquid was used to harm toons by effect their Looney DNA, which reminds me of the "Dip" from Who Framed Roger Rabbit. This again just proves my point but its just a fun idea in the end.
What are your thoughts about all of this?
