I don't for one second believe what we're being shown in the Last Twilight ep 12 trailer...apart from the colours, of course...because as we've seen umpteen times before, the colours don't lie.

And both Night and their mom are wearing Mhok's blue here, alongside Day who has a mixture of Mhok's blue, his own green...and Night's brown.

I haven't had time to properly write about the design of this show (oh there have been so many things I've wanted to mention) but I do think Night is colour-coded brown, as shown brilliantly in ep 10's dinner scene, with Day wearing Mhok's blue in front (because he had plans to go and see him) and Night's brown behind...because as has been shown time and again, Night has always had Day's back.

And with Night in a very vibrant blue at the end of ep 11, I firmly trust that he will have both Day and Mhok's back in ep 12, and that whatever the trailer for ep 12 is trying to make us think will happen will turn out to be another one of Aof's cleverly crafted ruses designed to make us lose our minds for a week.

I'm never not thinking about how throughout the books Jack hallucinates about a lot of people (Tom, Tony, etc.) but the two people he hallucinates the most are:

Sabine, his girlfriend who went into a coma before the books started. He blames himself for the car accident that caused the coma and thinks he is the reason they never managed to escape their shitty town. Their relationship wasn't perfect and they would sometimes fight but they clearly loved each other and were each other's bright spots in an otherwise all-around horrible childhood. Jack feels so much guilt and pain about what happened to her that he is basically unable to talk or even think about her for a good part of the books, and that survivors guilt made him resign himself to dying young. When he starts to see her in his hallucinations/dreams, she is there to give him advice and help him. She continuously tells him how much she loves him, how it wasn't his fault and how he can't give up

And Spencer. The guy who has stalked him and beaten him up multiple times. The same guy who Jack has sliced the throat of and also shot. He is also there. Just chilling and still insulting Jack any chance he gets

!! today bad !! woke up to a sleep paralysis and it just kept going downhill from there; tried to update my laptop’s software and it got stuck, so now that’s the 2nd laptop that has stopped working for me this week. Literally fuck this week, I’m so done ughhh. How is that even like possible

Hmm, I guess I can understand why you would think that for sure (although I am missing the fuck out of Tuk and Lo'ak of course).

I think it means Spider and Kiri are even mORE close, because they are the only ones who slightly understand what it's like to be an outsider like them. As for Neteyam, my man is totally close with his squad, they are thick as thieves, but I have to imagine he feels a little distant and left out sometimes. I bet when he was little he cried and told Jake and Neytiri he wanted a fifth finger and didn't understand why he didn't get to have one.

As for nocorro, I can totally see it. Neteyam and Spider and Kiri are just even tighter, and they're all so close in age I bet there's less older sibling protectiveness Neteyam feels he has to uphold. They are just three kids basically all the same age, they're a friend group. I can see it making him a little more indulgent to his own wants and needs, and maybe a little more reckless. He spends more time messing around with them, or bringing Spider along when he's learning with his dad even if technically Spider shouldn't be there. Maybe he indulges in his feelings for Spider in a way he would struggle with more otherwise.

While it's nice to live in an area where you aren't expected to go out when there's even small amounts of ice/snow, it's not so nice living an area where our power grid and infrastructure are so fragile that it can't handle small amounts of ice/snow.

Up until about 20 minutes ago, I had power for all of an hour today in freezing cold temperatures. And most of that hour was spent on a work meeting/call. Hellscape.
